Our 200 Years ?

The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred years.
These nations have progressed through this sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
from spiritual faith to great courage;
from courage to liberty;
from liberty to abundance;
from abundance to selfishness;
from selfishness to complacency;
from complaceny to apathy;
from apathy to dependence;
from dependency back again into bondage.

Sir Alex Fraser Tyler: (1742-1813) Scottish jurist and historian

Much has been written about America's progressed Mars (the military, etc) which has turned retrograde as of July--for the first time in US history.

Will withdrawal of US forces be one of the manifestations? Will there be difficulty with the current funding level for war? Or how about death of a large number of American men (above war casualities)? Any combo or all of the above?

The reason astrologers are hazarding (Mars!) various guesses is precisely because, as stated, Mars Rx has never happened in US history...so we really have to wonder what it will mean. Whatever it means, I believe it is now in process and affecting our military adversely..and will be in effect for several years. Will America stop meddling?

Later today I will be reading up on the Pentagon's iBlog Project which they're about to spring upon bloggers the world over...could Mars Rx have anything to do with tamping down bloggers...most of whom are male? Hmm-m-m...

...and you've probably heard of the call to websites and blogs to replace their front pages with the word: IMPEACH (in simple white letters on black--no problem here) on SEPTEMBER 1...for 24 hours...see a representation here and check out Impeach for details.

But Blogger won't be for this, so my guess is that I will be publishing IMPEACH as a blog post with appropriate links.

Will 24 hours be enough to eclipse this regime's crimes of several years?

And have you read Custodians of Chaos by Kurt Vonnegut? It's an excerpt from his upcoming memoir, A Man Without a Country: A Memoir of Life in George Bush's America.

Mr Vonnegut thinks the psychopaths are running the asylum and SO'W heartily and sadly agrees with him. The current Saturn-Neptune opposition describes our collective nightmare and our collective delusional stand-off...realism vs illusion. And so far Neptune's fakery is gumming up the works just when we need to be clear and direct, Instead we have Rove, Bush, Cheney and the Gang continuing to use the confusion of Neptunian tactics against the truth (and, as you know, Saturn = the Dems!)

One result--or 'collateral damage', if you will--is the dissolution (Nep) of America's authority (Sat) so that our name is MUD (Saturn/earth + Neptune/water.)

Great post. Please don't think I'm meddling, but you could have put a lot more tags on this post, and thereby gained more visibility on technorati at least. Some of the tags that come readily to mind are: war, iraq, military, blogging, bloggers, politics, astrology, peace, maybe more?

BTW, while I'm thinking about it, I guess you heard that Robin Williams fell off the wagon and is in treatment for alcohol addiction. So, what's in the stars that's making all the stars get in trouble (Williams, Mel Gibson, others?) No need to answer, just wondering.

Anyway, peace, and it's good to read stuff like yours from a Blue perspective. Thanks.
