Palin ready to be demi-leader of the free world?

Yes I know the 'free world' is on the endangered species list but does Sara Heath Palin look ready to be in line for the US presidency to you?

Celebrity status vs Obama's celebrity status...are they trying to make us crazy?

I blame Reagan...he started it.

Here's my post on Sara Palin's natal chart with some very interesting insights to be found in the post's comment thread.

Hi, curious -- why do you use an early photo of Palin, and not a current one? Sorry, I'm new to your blog, and thought I might see a post about her astrology, not her celebrity. (Which I don't believe is part of the platform -- ),
hmmm, reminds me,
I didn't check out what shoes she was wearing?
Or what bag?!

Seriously, I think Palin is a bright light (Aquarian, with determination -- Saturn and Mars conjunct Sun). If her moon is late Capricorn, conjunct McCain's, then we can reinforce how the synastry is working.)

Meanwhile -- I thought her accpetance speech of the nomination was stunning, very real, believable, and sure -- if she's in the white house, I'd trust her judgment. Alaska isn't complaining. She is a reformer. Sarah Palin is a change agent. This is obvious, I'd hope, especially to the enlightened 'non-partisan' members of the astrological philosophies and practices?

(And, in all deference to Alaskans, there are a few who live here, along with caribou.)

best,
Vicktorya

Hi Vicktorya, thanks for weighing in!

Guess i was mocking the media's star-struck ramblings about Palin's obvious beauty queen good looks by using an older glam photo...we'll be seeing many current pics as the months/years go on.

She is on the sparkly side, i agree, and many astrologers are predicting that she'll help McCain carry the day.

You'll find some astrological notes on her at another of my blogs:

jude's threshod and check out the interesting thread from 'some notes on Sara Palin's natal chart' which uses her sunrise/solar chart since birth time is, as far as i know today, still unknown. ;p

Hey Jude, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Soooo sexist. The Dems dropped the ball on this. Women make up the majority of this country and the majority in each party. But the self-styled "party for women" made it clear that, once again, if women try to break through, they get put in their place. Gov. Palin's remarks yesterday showed leadership, as have her actions. She bucks corruption in her own party and wins ... and you come up with a glam shot. She bucks her party on gay rights (yup, you won't get that on your daily cup of kos) ... and you come up with a glam shot. She puts the governor's private jet up for sale on e-bay and returns the money to the citizens and travels on commercial jet or driving her own car ... and you wave the glam shot? She has hands on experience with the oil/natural gas issue ... and you ask if she "looks" like she can be president? Why, does a President need a mole on her nose? What's your point? Educate yourself on this woman and her accomplishments and stop with the sexist stuff. And please don't try to get off the hook by saying you were "mocking" the media's ravings. If you want to mock the media's ravings, you have plenty of fodder from the media's ravings about Obama. Start with that tickle up Chris Matthew's leg. Shame on you. And watch out for falling glass. The glam girl might be the one to shatter that ceiling.

Hi Mandelay, thanks for your comments.

Hope you have a few shame arrows left in your quiver though - you're sure to need them before this election is over lol!

My observations on Gov Palin have been more serious elsewhere and i have defended her as well. Didn't make her lovely though and don't think nose moles do much for anyone's political fortunes.

It occurs to me on behalf of women that a cynical use of her is hardly breaking ceilings, glass or otherwise. Katharine Harris thought she was carrying their water in 2000 for self-serving if ideologic
reasons but she got fooled...the abandoned woman archetype is no favorite of mine and is all too prevalent everywhere you look.

So as i typed earlier and elsewhere, the jury's still out on the lady as far as i can tell.

And since it's early days yet, perhaps waxing too poetic or snarling at her lack of experience is overreacting on both sides. jude
