Here's just a quick posting of tonight's chart for 11:00 pm est, the time I heard ABC News announce that Barack Obama had won the presidential election of the United States of America. I'm using Obama's natal chart for 7:24 pm because this (possible) natal ASC for him (18AQ03) has recently had tr North Node pointing to it.It's 12:04 am, Nov 5, and Obama is speaking in Chicago - the Obama daughters will be getting that puppy as promised.
Can you read this double chart? Pink highlights the announcement this evening, Hour of Mercury.
With Obama's natal Sun rising as you see, worryingly I must note that asteroid Nemesis is setting with the North Node 13AQ+, South Node rising...so Sun/SN = ASC. (Hmm. No comment.)
Transiting Saturn will soon conjunct his natal Mars in Virgo, Mercury 00Sco48 has crossed the announcement's IC and entering the Communications 3rd house, and an out-of-bounds Venus is achieving beyond the normal parameters of most people's lives - Barack Obama will be the 44th president of the US.
May he be kept safe from harm and be given cooperation from Washington's corridors of power as the American people are expecting and have a right to expect.
Obama is saying that America's strength comes from the 'enduring power of our ideals...' and I pray that our higher natures don't simply peek out for a day or two with this exciting new promise, but that it will be honored as an ongoing standard by the people to show the political establishment that they've been acting out-of- bounds of society and that such behavior will no longer will be tolerated or accepted as the moral or ethical standard of our nation.

Sweet! I used 8:01 Pacific. Nemesis and South Node involvement--my imagination says an enemy/foe/opposite that Obama has met before--in another life? I like to think so--it's more interesting!

I was hoping that you might choose to use this chart (11 pm, 4th of November 2008, NYC) in synastry with both foundation charts for the US ("Traditional" 2:17am July 4th 1776) and the "Sibley," 5:10pm chart........
[I did so,but since you are the professional I think you should be the one to comment].....also in Synastry with the state of Israel's Natal; try another one using this 11pm Election day in synastry with Joe Biden's natal....
In re to the November 4th 11pm NYC chart, the moon will soon join the Chiron/nodes conjunction.

Also of course, transiting Saturn will soon conjoin US natal Neptune and let us not forget about Pluto very soon entering Capricorn for the next 15 years (biggie topic of course, for all of the astro-geeks out there).
Finally, I really do want to thank you for bringing this "announcement" chart to my attention. I was asleep during this event......wouldn't have thought of 'erecting' a chart for this announcement. So, just like in the tale "Rumplestiltskin".....you were busy spinning gold, while I, the Miller's daughter (whatever) was fast asleep.

My own worst thoughts took over last night when I was publishing the charts and when I saw Nemesis conj NN and South Node on Obama's natal Sun - all i could think was 'Lincoln again' and of course there have been comparisons made between the two and Springfield was purposefully chosen for important rallies, etc.
Lincoln's natal ASC is 00AQ+ if memory serves, so there's the ASC/Jupiter connection with BO.
Some say that Lincoln and JFK were killed because they made noises about reforming the world banking system. Obama seems to be in their pocket (voted for Bailout Bill, got as far as he did in the prez race, etc) so perhaps he'll make it through even with unbeatable foes opposing his shiny Leo Sun of leadership! jude
