At George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, Barack Obama gave a speech today on the US economy and what his administration plans to do about it.
Calling for Congress to get busy - day, night, weekends - and work with him, the president-elect gave what George Stephanopoulos of ABC News called essentially "a SOTU address."
Here you see the charts for his speech's beginning and end, and I wish I had time to spare to blurb about it now.
You see the Moon in Gemini leaving 3rd house of Communications and entering 2nd house of Earning Ability. He started speaking at a Mercury Hour - appropriate for speeches - and ended at a Moon Hour which is appropriate for change, publicity, and public needs.
Tomorrow, Jan 9, will be Barack Obama's Jupiter Return so you see Jupiter 00AQ42. Moneybags Jupiter left 11th house of Groups/Associations/Hopes/Wishes and entered the more viisble 10th house of Public Standing/Career.
There are several midpoint pictures formed, but no patterns (T-squares, Grand Trines, etc.) You'll see a few other notations if you click the charts to enlarge.

UPDATE 6:00 pm: Mars as chart-ruler is out-of-bounds and working on his own for ill or good, and makes no applying aspects in either chart which puts strong emphasis on his mavericky OOBs status and his house and sign position.
Mars really is working in a pure Capricorn-10th house mode, and 10th house is Cap's natural house. This points directly to Mars' exaltation in Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) and thus indicating the most efficient and focused use of Mars energy and drive in the zodiacal pantheon.

Well, there they are. And as usual with midpoint pictures they act in an any, all, or none way and are more likely to be active when triggered by transits, progressions, and lunations. The speech chart/s will always be 'triggerable' as time goes by and as planets from their chart positions here, and in future, meet or aspect the other planets/points in the chart/s.
The most obvious example is that the Sun 18Cap32 will conjunct today's Jupiter degree (and BHO's natal Jupiter) on Jan 20, 2009, noon, Capitol Building, Washington, DC!
Yet we can say that the third planet in each equation is a trigger, so they are provided here in a general environmental sense, yet as noted, wherever we see Jupiter, we see a trigger: the natal Jupiter of president-elect Barack Obama.

I'm glad you reviewed the stars over Obama's speech this morning. I expected it to be important. But when I watched it, a little anyway, as I was at work, my hopes sunk.
The impression I had was that if we ever want to know what he looks like when he's the mouth for the real plans of others, remember how he looked today. He has always been better at reading a speech than speaking off the cuff and I'm not sure he even let himself hear what he was saying - pure performance.
"Dire consequences if Congress does not respond quickly" — not his words I bet. Does he even know what he is signaling, going to be blamed for?
When the market plunges this summer is he going to say "I warned you and you didn't listen!"
We'll see. But I think today was a dark day for the United States.

I wonder why more people don't comment? I love your offerings and am a little breathless over the level of your production since I have come to realize that you are an artist, etc.
I don't use mid-points myself-just haven't studied and practiced. I do of course utilize the idea if i find a planet at the exact fulcrum fo the t-sq,the trine or square or finger of god,etc. I have noticed that such highlight does bring out the function that planet represents and makes it an issue in the psyclology of the native.
At any rate-true to form the talking heads are VERY worried about the money needed for the rest of the country when the money for the banks has not yet been paid. Do you think that there is any hope that a new Congress and a new President could try and change the law and not surrender any more of out money to the theiving banks/Wall Street? Just saying.

His address was tremendously disappointing but isn't the first hint of Obama's being in on the NWO gag against us.
And it will be difficult to watch him as he seems to morph into their shill - he wouldn't, as I posted several times here and there, be where he is today if he hadn't agreed to their requirements. He is, as are all recent presidents, a mouthpiece.
Perhaps you saw my post concerning the secret Bilderberg meeting with BHO in June when he gave his airplane reporters the slip so he could attend.
I had also written that he was chosen (by those who decide our presidents) because, for one reason, he's the one who can make the bitter medicine go down our gobs more easily due to his oration skills. But he does have to have the words on the telepromptor, although supposedly he writes some of his speeches himself.
Even someone with enormous self-confidence needs a script to follow in public speaking, of course, but it's the NWO script he follows that riles my potatoes. jude

Yes, I'm a busy bee with Art, Astrology, and Politics (plus a 'real job') and I constantly wish I could do more justice to my posts. Chart interps are seldom deemed complete but I do what I can.
Plus, I figure anyone who can read a chart at least gets something out of seeing one published even if they disagree with my methods and conclusions!
Don't know why more people haven't commented on the chart/s for BHO's address.
The people I spoke to later in the day hadn't seen it or heard much about it - guess they have today, if they care to (which they should.)
Funny about midpoint pics - I never had a problem accepting their use, although I know many astrologers don't use them often - some use them if they're angular, etc. In my first years of full-time study, I tracked my own natal and progressed ones and found they were on the mark so often that I've never given them up!
As far as BHO being blamed, I'm not certain how it will play out when the fur and fan connect this summer and all through his tenure, but we know he'll remain above the fray similar to Bush-Cheney, hearing what he wants to hear (although he promises otherwise) and answering the questions he Wished had been asked, a typical political tactic.
The MSM will be complicit - many of their bigwigs are on the Trilateral Commission (the NWO brigands in the play along with the Bilderbergers, etc. Henry Kissinger - well, don't get me started on HIM.)
Money and privilege always have their escape hatches and state-of-the-art bunkers to repair to. It will be *interesting* to watch how BHO progresses their agenda and how the common good comes out in relation to the promises for improvement that he has made to the American people.
