Time Warp Through the Rabbithole with Frederic Chopin

Whew! Just completed installation of new pc equipment after a wobbly crash last Wednesday evening (Feb 24) so I'm barrelling online to say, Still here, and so is Stars Over Washington!

And since the Art collaboration I've been working on these last weeks is in high gear now (and having been off the *interweb for a week so I completed new drawings for the '1st Annual International Astrology Blogathon March 19 - 21, 2010'), I must thither me yonder with little delay.

Therefore, it is with some measure of poised aplomb attained quite naturally through my complete reliance on the insights and analysing skills of one Julie Demboski that I highly recommend to you her interesting observances concerning the cosmic symphony playing over our heads this very Tuesday, March 2, 2010.

Well, it's good to be back @ SO'W...especially with so many of our infesting politicians running for cover! Skiddaddle, fraudulent crooks and varmints!

To be cont'd...

Fryderyck Chopin born March 1, 1810; 6:00 pm Zelazowa Wola, Poland:

Sorry my pc problems caused me to miss the 200th anniversary of Frederic Chopin's birthday yesterday (although a few conflicting dates exist) but this morning I happily caught Performance Today and heard a wonderful pianist playing Chopin on Chopin's piano in the house where Chopin was born. That was really something and was made more astounding for this reluctant astrologer (or perhaps for any other) because it provided a living link through music...from 1810 to 2010. Pouf! 200 years!

Now, 200 years = 200 degrees ('a day for a year' as in Scripture) so 200 degrees is equivalent to 20 Libra on the circle of the zodiac. (Each sign contains 30 degr and 200 contains 6 signs (6 x 30 = 180; Aries - Virgo) = 180 degr, plus 20 degr more = 20 Libra.)

So here's a peek at the Sabian Symbol for '20Lib' to see if its word picture might pertain to something that could please Frederic Chopin. Plus, you'll find '21Lib' (201 degr) mentioned in Chopin's bio at AstroDataBank. I did not read the bio before typing in the '200 degr = 20Lib' above but of course, one degree dissolves into the next like seconds on a clock face morphing into the next minute, and 60 minutes melting into an hour. Right?

'20Lib' = "A Jewish Rabbi" and '21Lib' = "A Crowd Upon a Beach."

For more info, I shall quote from Adriano Carelli's The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac which gives a Symbol for '20Lib' (but not for '21Lib')...

'20Lib' = "Around an altar, on which the fire of sacrifice is blazing, the priests lay the sacred meal."

"An outstanding personality, innerly filled with light and warmth. There is a sincere religious spirit, exclusive of hypocrisy but not of earthly pleasures, prominent among which is enjoyment of good food. The other (chart) factors have to show whether this pious strain is likelier to inspire an ascetic or a sensuous mystic. In either case, the native may enter the clergy or, as a layman, lead an apostle's life.

Either in a cloister or in the world, the natives' ecclesiastical or worldly career stands under good auspices and even may prove very fortunate indeed, if backed by other indications of luck." (8th house Jupiter in Aries - jc.) "The support of highly placed people and the sympathy of learned persons will bring forth the native's otherwise unmistakable gifts, and his presence will appear indispensable to others."

Sad that composer-pianist Fryderyck Chopin died age 39, on Oct 17, 1849 of tuberculosis after settling in Paris (Sept 1831) and charmingly becoming part of an elite circle of social creatures with whom he arranged to teach music to their offspring, and entertain ritzy revelers during intimate candlelight suppers and other diverting amusements.

Which Symbol do I think more applies? Probably "A Jewish Rabbi" which may of course be considered to describe an archetypal image of a pope or priest. During his final lying-in, Chopin received the viaticum from Abbey Alexander Jelowick on Oct 14, 1849, passing away 4 days later. Plus, a rabbi is a teacher, and the maestro taught music lessons, as noted.

Upon Chopin's request, his heart was removed and placed in an urn and masoned behind a wall of the Church of the Holy Cross, Warsaw, an act meant to deliver a particular message into the Great Beyond, I think. It seems to me to be a 'time capsule of the heart' that goes along with the brilliant musical time capsule I experienced on the radio this very morning!

Spring EQ 2010 brings Anti-War Marches to Washington

Anti-War Marches on Washington DC are on President Obama's menu for Spring Equinox 2010, on Friday March 19 and Saturday March 20 (aka, Aries Ingress) whether he stays at Home on Pennsylvania Avenue or not.

American imperialism and aggression overseas will be protested against in the streets of what's supposed to be 'our' nation's capital so we'll see where that energy goes. Perhaps testy instigator Mars in Leo rising is what's being manifested bwo protest marches in the Spring Equinox chart along with the Moon (the people; the public) conjunct Fixed Star Algol, a star of enraged passion and anger.

Of course, I've stated my belief here before that violence isn't the best way to effect the changes we want - plus, the US government has well-prepared for our aggression with more of their own through plans to use US military and police forces against us when we're finally fed up with their sorriness and can't take anymore. Seems to me that they continue to aggravate us in the direction of rioting so that martial law can be imposed as a step on the trail to their totalitarian new world order.

But as Gandhi said, "There is no path to peace. Peace is the path."

And we Americans must never forget what founder Benjamin Franklin said, too:

"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

Then how many dissenting American patriots will be required to take back our country from global neocons, syndicate bosses, and thieves? Let's see how many fill the Washington Mall and streets for Spring Equinox 2010, then multiply their number by a thousand or more.

Now a few words form Upton Sinclair which I've quoted here before but which deserve repeating:

"Is it altogether a Utopian dream, that once in history a ruling class might be willing to make the great surrender, and permit social change to come about without hatred, turmoil, and waste of human life?"

So far, it looks as if it altogether is, especially now when the one-world-government types are thisclose to implementing what they consider to be a 'Utopia' of chaos and regression.

Well, it looks like my heart will be evenly divided over the weekend of Spring EQ 2010: split between news of and good wishes for the safety and effectiveness of the Anti-War Protests against US imperialism and the 1st International Astrology Blogathon with its practical solutions for dealing with the Cardinal Cross energies which have now begun to plague the world.

The Astrology Blogathon is an online event set for...you guessed it...March 19 - 21, 2010. See you there if not here!

1st International Astrology Day Blog Carnival: Cardinal T-Square 2010

In March 2010, master astrologers Donna Cunningham and C. J. Wright will be co-hosting the 1st International Astrology Blog Carnival in honor of the Aries Ingress 2010 and with the goal of providing practical solutions for those who wish to better deal with the Cardinal T-Square of Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto, a planetary pattern which affects us personally and collectively from 2010 to 2014.

As you know, these 3 heavyweights form a T-Square pattern with Saturn and Uranus in opposition, pointing to powerful manipulator Pluto in Capricorn at apex, and many folk are expecting difficult events from these planetary energies (which the world is already experiencing.)

Periods of Saturn/Pluto squares can bring harshness and cruelty when social responsibilities are seen as burdens, while Uranus/Pluto squares are a revolutionary combo due to curtailments of liberty and freedom (Uran/Plu were squared in the years 1931 to 1934 when Hitler and Roosevelt rose to power. There be great dangers if we remain apathetic to the political developments of 2010 to 2014.)

Now I don't know where these transiting planets stomp in your natal chart - hopefully you do, for it'd be good info to have - but I do know that few if any of us will go completely unscathed by the difficulties this pattern creates.

The 2010 Astrology Blog Carnival will inform readers bwo a variety of articles authored by astrologers and including advice for meeting personal challenges in these harrowing days. This project is not intended for those of us who deal with global issues and problems, aka Mundane Astrology, so please take note of the 'personal challenges' theme if you wish to submit an article or two for consideration in the Astrology Carnival of March 2010.

Yes, both Saturn (tradition; status quo; old) opposing Uranus (progress; disruption; new) are planets associated in part with Science and Politics, and the November 2008 election of President Obama occurred on one of the very days of their exact opposition. Speculation was rife across the internet asking if Barack Obama was signified by change-promoting Uranus. Did he really want to bring us "Change We Can Believe In"?

Well, this reluctant astrologer had to fall into the 'natal Saturn Rx in Capricorn = status quo' camp concerning his presidency and in recent days I've heard commentators and pundits mentioning again just how 'establishment' (Saturnian) he's turned out to be. Quelle surprise? Mais non!

Yet sadly for America and for those who thought they were voting for a 'peace candidate' with a populist persuasion (suckas!) Mr. Obama is not (as I expected) removing the US from war in the Middle East. In fact, he has escalated war, as you know.

Do I digress a bit from the 2010 International Astrology Blog Carnival's 'meeting personal challenges' theme?

Perhaps. But only so that I may insert again the interpretation of the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto Cardinal T-Square's midpoint picture which describes the unfortunate flavor of our times, bringing difficulties for which we can all use advice in order to manage their possibilities - any, all, or none may apply:

Saturn/Uranus = Pluto: tremendous fear of loss; upheaval to protect assets; rebellion; brutality; a desire to overcome difficult situations through extraordinary efforts; concealing changes to activities; drastic changes in a previously liberal atmosphere. (Tyl; Ebertin; Munkasey; my bold.)

Changes? Yes, but not the kind most of us wanted or expected under Pres. Obama's watch.

In The Combination of Stellar Influences, Reinhold Ebertin gives the blend of 'Saturn/Uranus' as representing obstinate, self-willed, or violent people and it can manifest as 'kicking against tutelage and against the limitation of freedom'...but also with a determined ability to cope!

And as Celeste Teal observes in her excellent book Eclipses, Uranus = Aries Point is 'a historical marker for science' and this indicator plays into most descriptions of the Cardinal T-Square's Uranus at AP, conjunct the Foundation (Ic) of America's natal chart (Sibly version); therefore my plan is to post the Aries Ingress 2010 chart asap.

Plus, we note that the series of 3 Great Conjunctions of the 'scientific breakthroughs' and 'new explorations' planets, Jupiter and Uranus, will begin at Aries Point on June 8, 2010. You may wish to read more about them in Anne Whitaker's excellent book Jupiter Meets Uranus.

We may even wish to substitute Jupiter in place of Uranus in our T-Square formula especially since Jupiter and Saturn are the two societal planets - same sources as noted above:

Jup/Sat = Pluto: tremendous perseverance; dramatic thrust of self; control of the situation; major change of situation; fearless; restrictions; separations; being unafraid of any work or trouble in order to attain desired aims slowly but surely; immense effort; violent changes; a total reversal of plans; transforming personal ideas about the future into today's reality; intense business activity.

Well, I don't like saying so but the Solar Eclipse @ 19Can24 on July 11, 2010 may mark a world financial collapse, the one that has supposedly been warded off. (You'll see a chart image there and a more complete interpretation of the Cardinal T-Square's midpoint picture within the post. Who's behind all this misery? Follow the money and the power grabs...and ask that detached, ivory-towered apex Pluto. If you can find the booger.)

To counter the real possibility of a worldwide financial collapse on the horizon, economist Joseph Stiglitz is calling more loudly this very today for a second stimulus package, in fact, and his book Free Fall is very descriptive: Free (Uranus) Fall (Saturn)!

So even though the world is haplessly goose-stepping itself on down the trail toward totalitarianism, perhaps the upcoming Jupiter/Uranus conjunction/s of 2010/2011 will be a bright spot along the way and will herald one of the combo's much-needed 'fortunate turns' of direction!
