Horoscope: Hush Money Trial Apr 2024

Update: Going after Judge Marchan's daughter again may be what stalls the trial date as per Mercury Rx while an appeal is heard. Original post begins here:

Below you see two images of what is scheduled to be the Trump Hush Money Trial, aka, Election Interference Trial, Manhattan, NY, set by Judge Juan Marchan for Monday April 15, 2024. I'm using a start time for jury selection of 9:30 am edt which may or may not need adjusting. The first chart has my scribbled study notes messily penned on, the second horoscope is sans scribbles.

A few factors worth mentioning include:

In 11th house, chart-ruler Mercury is retrograde ('Rx') which suggests delays (yet Judge Marchan is against delays hence the April 15th trial date), and conjuncts the trial's Prenatal Solar Eclipse, the April 8th 8 North @19Ari24 of dreams and visions which falls within Trump's natal 8th house opposite his natal Jupiter stationary. This opposition identifies ethical lapses and immorality. Additionally, legal eagle planet Saturn @15Pis10 in 10th house conjuncts crisis star Achernar (risk of rapid endings) along with testy Mars and confused Neptune in late Pisces. Check Saturn as apex planet of a midpoint picture, highlighted in blue.

Then Mercury's Rx condition suggests review, revision, and testimonies perhaps previously heard; plus, in Aries Mercury may bring exaggeration and criticism into the courtroom.

How Things Will Proceed via Chart-ruler Mercury

Chart-and-Trial-Ruler Mercury applies to conjunction with Venus at a critical degree of Aries (will Stormy Daniels testify?); Mercury also conjoins Chiron, a good placement for business negotiations, and for disseminating information in general; obviously, news and reporting are suggested although Chiron may include a blindspot condition.

Then on or about April 25th, Mercury will station conjunct the Hush Money Trial's North Node of public contact so perhaps a decision and/or an announcement will occur soon after. If the April 15th date holds steady, that is. Given Trump's serial habit of delaying justice, we'll see if changes are made.

Meanwhile, the 25 Gemini Ascendant ruled by Mercury brings up Trump's "Prez Bid New Moon" of June 16, 2015 which is penned on the chart, while Pluto @2AQ02 in 7th house leads a BOWL shape of planets indicating advocacy of a cause or a mission. Then as you see, Astraea, asteroid of Justice, @15Can23 conjuncts the 2nd cusp of Money, Possessions, and Values, while Tisiphone, asteroid of retaliation, rises at 9:30 am edt:

T-Square: Moon-Pluto = Sun: "far-reaching plans" (N. Tyl)

Significantly, powerful Pluto afflicts the Sun-Moon square, opposing Moon and squaring Sun. Potentials are for pursuit of unreasonable desires, retribution is sought, the domestic scene and family members are under threat or feeling threatened, strong emotions are expressed, someone is dealing with a loss of power and influence through an unstable power structure, and/or there are setbacks in ambitions through overblown ego problems (R. Ebertin). Now I wonder whose ego is the most overblown of all?

Chart #2: April 15, 2024 Horoscope unmarked:

In closing, here are a few details on the April 15th Hush Money Trial's steamy fire-water Sun Aries-Moon Cancer blend of conscious and unconscious energies: a volatile, self-centered, impulsive, clannish combination. Quickly sizing up situations is a talent as is smooth-talking, but handling personal criticism is very difficult. In fact, one of the blend's Images for Integration provided by the Harveys may manage to take the hush money trial by storm:

"A child in a fit of petulent fury runs away from home."

Now Trump does tend to storm out of courtrooms, this we know, but hopefully, this isn't a cosmic picture of a flight risk from justice!

The Personality Blend of Cassidy Hutchinson

Born December 12,1996 in Pennnington, New Jersey (hour unknown; 12:00 pm is used in the following charts, birth data from her book, Enough #ad), Cassidy Hutchinson's Sun in Sagittarius and Moon in Capricorn (for the entire 24-hour of her birth day) gives her a Fire-Earth personality blend influenced by Jupiter (Sag) and Saturn (Cap). This expansion-restriction planetary duo and the sign of Capricorn relate to government, law, and business, and together they signify the 'checks and balances' tradition of the US government (now under attack by the anti-governing GOP).

And here are two natal horoscopes (12:00 pm EST), the first chart is marked with my study notes, the second chart unmarked; notable is that her book Enough states that she was born early morning so you may wish to adjust the timing; ex: at 6:00 am EST - Rising is 4Sag31 with Pluto @3Sag40 which brings along aspects to natal Pluto: sextile Uranus, and trine natal Saturn; at 6:00 am Midheaven ('MC") is Mars @21Virgo conjunct fixed star Denebola ('to go against the mainstream'); you'll also notice her Saturn-South-Node conjunction indicating that the lady is in a class by herself!

Now you may wish to check out a few notes concerning the Personality Blend of Cassidy Hutchinson a la The Harveys (Sun Sign-Moon Sign #ad) which are penned on the upper chart's lower right corner. Considering how her life has trended lately, it seems interesting to me that her natal Mercury in Capricorn conjuncts her natal asteroids Ceres (democracy) and Astraea (justice)!

As for the Solar Eclipse cycle into which Cassidy Hutchinson was born ('PE' @19Lib31), that's the 17 New North Series which manifested on October 12, 1996 with themes of impulsive, hectic energies (B. Brady). Prominent is her Mars @21Virgo, leader of a Locomotive shape of her planets and indicating a strong determination toward success. Her ambitious Capricorn Moon supports this!

August 2023 Horoscope: Uranus turns Rx

On display in today's post are two DC Horoscopes:

First, the August 28, 2023 Uranus Station @23Tau04, then a view of the 7 South Solar Eclipse of October 14, 2023 @21Lib07 with its angry, powerful 'Mars-Pluto square' influences issuing from 7 South's initial manifestation of June 22, 1248 @8Can03. This is the position of Trump's natal Mercury (spotlighting his irrationality), and you'll notice that 8Can01 also happens to be the position of Astraea ('justice') in the 6th house of the October 2023 Eclipse Horoscope.

So by this and other chart factors we know that the planets in both horoscopes, set for Washington DC, relate to current events in the US, events and conditions that include disruptive Uranus and its association with fanatics, anarchists, rebels, and radical politicians, along with the Midterms 2022 Lunar Eclipse @16Taurus conjunct Uranus with its 'swords vs torches' symbolism which points toward the maga politicians who just barely managed to take over the House of Representatives. Also implicated by rebellious Uranus are the GOP's racist followers, seditionists, and comrades-in-arms.

Then prominent in the Eclipse chart, you'll see the implications of Pluto square the Eclipse (which is also US 1776 Pluto squaring the lunation), and Uranus inconjunct the Eclipse with its radical vibes of disruption, assault, and shock ability.

Jack Smith's 7 North Eclipse in 2023

Special Counsel Jack Smith, born June 5, 1969 Clay, New York (hour unknown) entered the Earthly flux under the auspices of a 7 North Solar Eclipse manifesting at 27Pis25:12 on March 17, 1969. Here the 1969 7 North Eclipse is shown (upper right and accurately timed) with Jack Smith's 'noon' horoscope shown, lower left:

'PE' = Prenatal Eclipse: and We All Have One

7 North Themes: 'a deep, long-hidden passion that catches people off-guard; lust; pro-creative drives' - B. Brady; I've previous added the word, blood to 'lust' since that's what Trump and his comrades are using to try to force their tyranny on us--and I have labeled the (current) April 20, 2023 manifestation of the eclipse as "Adolf's birthday eclipse" and mentioned that 7 North is the PE of both the Civil War and the Third Reich so easily the type of energies and events that can be involved when a 7 North eclipse rolls around are shown as cosmic time links through history.

Penned on the charts, above, are my study notes for the curious. Notably, a 7 North Eclipse is operative as I type, since manifesting on April 20, 2023 @29Ari50 - conjunct the J6 Mars (violence; criminal acts), but also conjunct the natal Venus of Jack Smith (29Ari39) which suggests fair play and cooperation: "No one is above the law," as he well knows. Material considerations are also part of the Venusian-Eclipse picture, plus, when a solar eclipse occurs in Pisces, issues are dealt with such as secrecy and karmic conditions with a potential for reaching the highest spiritual attainment. Besides the Pisces eclipse, there are other indications of prophetic intuition for Mr. Smith, whom I believe to be a double Air personality of sober intellectualism. In fact, the Harveys give his Sun Gemini-Moon Aquarius blend an Image for Integration of "Sherlock Holmes"!

As you know, years when an eclipse in a natal PE Series repeats are prominent, active years for the individual, so for Jack Smith, 2023 is it, and we saw him step into the spotlight a few days ago to speak on behalf of justice and the rule of law. Significantly, the 1969 eclipse Astraea conjuncts the Aries Point, which you see in the 7 North horoscope: there she is--Astraea, asteroid of justice, conjunct the Aries Point (!) of prominence and recognition. He is the man of the hour.

As for Mr. Smith's natal chart, Astraea is snugged between his steady, reliable Venus-Saturn conjunction. Notes on these factors (inspired by a sense of duty) are highlighted in blue.

Meanwhile, Jupiter, also concerned with justice, is highlighted in green and is part of a planetary trio with Pluto and Uranus conjunct South Node in both charts. This suggests inherited abilities, possibly from generations back, that involve power, authority, and perhaps wealth. The trio forms a midpoint picture, also penned below the natal chart with potentials for: "immense success; striving for social improvements" (R. Ebertin).

Then once the influences of the 7 North eclipse wane, coming in Autumn is the 7 South October 2023 Solar Eclipse in Libra, and it will 'eclipse' (conjunct) by degree the Secondary Progressed Moon ('SP') of Herr Trump, a cosmic event of potential crisis which may or may not turn out to be significant on the Earthly and political planes, but on behalf of the rule of law and the future of our democratic America, I sincerely hope that it will.

Spring EQ 2023: Secrets, Delusion, Power

Here's the Spring Equinox 2023 (Aries Ingress) Horoscope set for Washington DC, our representative for America herself; March 20, 2023 5:24:48 pm edt; chart and midheaven ruler Mercury @3Ari24 conjuncts 8th cusp and makes no applying Ptolemaic aspect; with Mercury in Mars-ruled Aries at this Hour of Mars in chatty Gemini, we may expect the typical abundance of discussions, debates, quarrels, and boasts to continue, and with Pluto @29Cap57 leading a BOWL shape of planets (advocacy of a cause or leading a mission: see 30Capricorn, upper right) from 5th house of Speculation and Risk-Taking, there's an inconjunct (adjustments needed) between manipulative Pluto and activist Mars, out-of-bounds @28Gemini (Bankruptcy) and acting aggressively, even rashly, in the visible 10th house.

Now with moneybags-banker-corporatist-guru planet Jupiter in the corporate 8th hou$e, and wealthy Pluto manipulating with his usual secrecy ("30Cap"), there are multiple indications of financial waste, potential theft, and budgetary difficulties (ex: debt ceiling issues simmering), along with America's usual obsession with power, politics, and domination.

However, expansive Jupiter conjuncts Astraea, asteroid of Justice! So is it possible that the thieves and crooks who bedevil us will finally get what should be comin' to 'em?

Well, running in the background of Spring Season 2023 are influences from the 6 South Solar Eclipse (@2Scorpio) with its forcefully taking power theme (ex: 118th House of rude, crude MAGA Republicans) - at least operating for about a month until the next solar eclipse in April. But we know that good faith actors can use the eclipse energies, too, to positive effect such as we saw during President Biden's SOTU 2023 Address when he "owned" the MAGA hooligans. This was a well-deserved comeuppance, in my book.

And with the solar eclipse in Scorpio, sign of Big Business, death and debt concerns, and spying, you know the related events and topics that dominate the news cycle these days, both here and abroad. In politics and business, it seems that betrayal, faithlessness, and corruption surround us along with disguises and deceit. For these are some of the tactics the 'haves' use to exploit the 'have-nots' at every opportunity!

Then sad to say, mass immigration remains atop America's menu with multiple adminstrations doing little if anything to solve what may be an unsolvable problem as long as Central and South America are under siege by violence and corruption.

It astounds me how most DC politicians act as if they're unaware of the real cause of our border conditions: people seeking refuge and safety. But if our immigration problem were solved, Republicans would lose it as a wedge issue against Democrats - and it isn't as if GOP candidates have popular policies to run on!

Meanwhile, the Spring Equinox Sun @00Ari00:00 joins Neptune and the Moon (25Pis18/18Pis38; the mass delusion pair) in the 7th house of Partnerships, with Jupiter and Chiron remaining in 8th house while asteroid MIDA$, the gold hoarder, sparkles in 10th house. Perhaps evaluation and/or currency issues will be on display once again.

Then as you see, a few midpoint pictures are notated for the curious - three involving Neptune, planet of deception, delusion, illusion, gaslighting, grand schemes, oil and gas, toxins, negative escapism, mass media, and fraud.

DC Horoscope: Saturn Perigee 2023

Aug 27, 2023: Bright Saturn Shines Opposite the Sun

Tropically speaking, in Mundane Astrology, because karmic Saturn, lord of many realms such as: Time, reality, authority, responsibility, accountability, maturity, wisdom, restriction, control, limits, borders, form, structure, consolidation, old age, conservatism, blockages or obstacles, loss, the status quo, The Establishment, the system, and laws, opposes the Virgo Sun on August 27, 2023, we can be certain that the word perigee will pop up all over the internet any minute now. Already has done, in fact!

For on that day, the Earth passes between Saturn and the Sun, a cosmic event that contains all manner of advantages for astronomers, but for Stars Over Washington's purposes, let's settle for a DC Horoscope set for August 27, 2023 4:28 am edt which is when my astrology program calculates an exact opposition between Sun and Saturn. Chart factors and astro-notes are thus generated, some of which are typed below the following Horoscope with astro-notes scribbled upon the image for your consideration.

The notes include the 'PE' in the 7 North Saros Series during which the Saturn perigee 2023 occurs, highlighted in orange, in 10th house @29Ari50 - conjunct the January 6, 2021 insurrection's Mars position and, as I've noted in previous posts, this lunation also times a "birthday eclipse" for Herr Adolf. Then will bunker boy sit up or merely roll over?

Meanwhile, the 7 North eclipse's throwback to J6 Mars increases potentials in August 2023 for zealotry, violence, and/or criminal actions - hopefully blocked by Saturnian forces! - such as those perpetrated on that day when the US Congress was assaulted and its work of certifying the 2020 Electoral College Vote for Joe Biden was disrupted for a few hours.

So to me it seems significant that the Vertex ('VX') in the August Horoscope @23Sag37 (5th house) points toward a fated encounter of some kind, perhaps legal, which concerns the 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 as what I've termed the Electoral College Vote 2020 Eclipse which 'justified' in the delusional Geminian mind of the orange albatross the 'Big Lie' he has used to aggravate his followers and certain politicians into storming the Capitol Building and the US government - strong feelings which Herr Trump continues to use for what he considers to be his financial, legal, and political advantage (see lower right corner). For as everyone knows, he is a desperate man determined to 'get away with it'.

Yet we should take heart for there is a bright note (perigee Saturn will be bright and large so close to Earth!) because Astraea, asteroid of Justice, directly opposes the Vertex and the 4 South Eclipse, as you see. Come on Justice Department, put on your Saturn cap and do the right thing! And if a Trump indictment is to be, then let it be:

Also of interest, is that the Sun @3Vir50 conjuncts the Progressed New Moon ('SP') of Herr Trump, a symbolic life passage timed by his SP New Moon which perfected on September 16, 2019 @3Virgo with its "white power" implications (see above chart, upper right).

Then remembering that America was founded under Sun-Saturn square energies which in part describe the need to develope maturity as the US ages rather than relying on the superficiality and unreliability that our institutions have often been accused of - plus, our 'worship' of youth and disrespect for wisdom - general potentials within the Hegelian form of the Sun-Saturn duo include:

Thesis: Form and definition in an enterprise; the will of the people as defined in the principal founding documents; the checks and balances within enterprises as implemented by various administrations.

Antithesis: Pessimism and gloom as a center focus of policy; unreasonable centralization of authority in one location; a leadership preoccupied with the various forms of law enforcement; older and more distanced leaders.

Among other topics, perhaps the ongoing campaign by Republicans to tinker under the hood of the US Constitution will be part of the scrutiny as the Sun and Saturn oppose one another in August 2023.

Previously on SO'W: Shadow into Light: an Esoteric Department of Justice showing its Dedication Horoscope of 1934 (by FDR) where we find DOJ Uranus Rx @29Ari21 conjunct its Syzygy Moon (28:31), and DOJ Mars @4Virgo. Now as you know, these create cosmic time links to the above positions particularly to the karmic 7 North Eclipse for when Uranus is involved, the karma attached to eclipse themes is intensified, positively or negatively, while adding a touch of 'brotherhood' to the cosmic mix. Major karmic progress can be made!

A final thought: Therefore, it seems the time has come for the DOJ to spear the snake as depicted on the building's outside panel which is why my reference to an "esoteric" Department of Justice. And we both know exactly who the snake really is. jc

Oct 2022: Stars Over Washington is 17!

Shall Stars Over Washington Continue Its Mission?

In two weeks, on October 16, 2022, Stars Over Washington completes its 17th year, and is already gray around the muzzle! Below are dual images displaying SO'W's original founding chart of October 16, 2005 (lower left), plus, its Solar Return 2022 Horoscope with Mercury in Libra rising; astro-notes are penned on for those who care to read them:

In the Return 2022 chart, the Goal Point ('MC' @11Can30) when rounded-up gives an intriguing symbol, "A Chinese Woman Nursing a Baby with a Message"; conjunct MC from the 9th house of Publishing is the out-of-bounds ('OOBs') Moon @9Can03 - conjunct fixed star, Alhena, keywords: "To have a mission." Add to this the fact that the Moon's rounded-up symbol is "A Large Diamond Not Completely Cut," and so I reluctantly surmise that SO'W isn't done yet and should be carried forth into 2023 (although I have been puzzling all year over such possibilities: SR 2022's Seesaw shape of planets = pros vs cons).

My uncertainty as to its continuance is due in part to the fact that as a novice astrologer, I see ahead that 2023 contains personal difficulties via a double Saturn transit, so I'll keep writing and publishing for as long as I can - always for the sake of America and the common good. However, you may as well know that karmic Saturn rules four of my natal planets, so we'll have to see - and naturally I'm taking precautions already since I know of these transits ahead of time.

And so, as turmoil covers the Earth, the following is what I really want to type about today. But please note that readers who are overly sensitive to esoteric, existential, eclipses as portents, and/or eternal considerations may want to skip the rest of this post - and absolutely no blame if you do!

Turning Point: The Woman, The Dragon, The Child - and an Eclipse (Sun-Moon)

In the Book of Revelation, chapter 12 we find a certain description,

"Now a great sign appeared in the heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars."

The KJV gives this as "a great wonder" while the Revised Standard Version of the Bible says, "a great portent." - which is part of what I wrote in my ephemeris on the October 2005 page under the listing of the October 3, 2005 7 South Solar Eclipse @10Lib19. A great sign, wonder, portent! Well, here's all that I wrote and no, I didn't list where the information came from, but here it is for your consideration in light of Earth upheavals and other current events of a turbulent nature which some ascribe to an existential crisis,

"October 3, 2005 Solar Eclipse 7 South is said to be the eclipse of Revelation 12 - the Great Portent." And the woman's identity with her garland of twelve stars and sun and moon connections? This may well be a reference to the Constellation of Virgo (the maiden), the second largest constellation in our skies. But are there 12 stars in the Virgo constellation? No, not now but there may have been previously because above the maiden's head there's a circle of stars, and due to precession it's possible that Coma Berenice is indicated as well. Then in the SO'W Solar Return 2022 Horoscope, we find feminine asteroids (archetypal figures) within the Virgo-Pisces polarity: Ceres and Demeter in Virgo, and Juno, Diana, and Astraea, the star maiden of justice, purity, and innocence.

And yes, the October 2005 manifestation of a 7 South Solar Eclipse is the Prenatal Solar Eclipse that inspired Stars Over Washington, meaning that under its themes, yours truly felt compelled to create the 'personal weblog' you're reading right now - because of my anger against "what politicians were doing to the place," aka, America (exs: preemptive war; "Homeland" Security; The "Patriot" Act). And so I can tell you, dear reader, that 7 South themes contain a deeper meaning for me now than in 2005. How could they not?

7 South Themes: "Immense power, anger, and force" of the intial 7 South's "Mars square Pluto is channeled into this family of eclipses" (via the Mars-Pluto square of June 22, 1248). {}"Huge obstacles will suddenly and easily clear or, on the negative side, a pending potential crisis will suddenly manifest and move through very rapidly; either way, things will seem to move at great speed" (paraphrasing B. Brady).

Now as you may or may not know, Mars-Pluto square energies are formidable and on a mundane (political) level suggest power struggles, jealousy, destructive anger, and the urge to take revenge. Well, we both know who in the political realm this sounds like so his name shall not be mentioned in this post, not this time.

As for SO'W, I can only hope that such powerful energies and themes have been used on a positive level through the years for then something useful can be accomplished. And Capricorns do like to be of use, you know!

So in closing, mention should be made of the next manifestation of a 7 South Solar Eclipse for it is soon-coming and occurs @21Lib07:33 on October 14, 2023. It isn't a Total eclipse, only Annular so its potency will be somewhat muted, thankfully, since all 7 South eclipses carry the forcefulness of a Mars-Pluto square within them. However, the eclipse in October 2023 will fall between the planetary pair of strong political opinions, Mercury and Mars - and Jupiter @13Taurus during the eclipse conjuncts the North Node of destiny in the SR 2022 Horoscope, above, which suggests religious groups interfering in legal processes, and closed legal societies (M. Munkasey).

So perhaps we can agree that these potentials are already underway with America's tradition of separation of church and state underfire by bossy theocrats, ideologues, and mafia-esque criminal types determined to take total control of our country. Therefore, we must out-determine them and use the Mars-Pluto energies ourselves toward positive outcomes!

Now if only fussy words in a political astrology post, significant eclipse portents, and Biblical passages could inspire lovers of democracy to bestir themselves in November and Vote Blue in droves for the sake of America!

An Additional Note: A cosmic time link exists which directly affects America and the 2024 Presidential Election thanks to the 8 South Solar Eclipse @10Libra of October 2, 2024, the Prenatal Eclipse of Election 2024. Falling at 10 Libra, this activates by degree, fully or partially, the themes of the 7 South Eclipse of October 3, 2005 which you see marked within the lower left horoscope's 2nd house so that the themes of both eclipses could combine in a variety of ways when 7 South returns in October 2023. jc

February 9, 2021: US Senate vs Donald Trump

February 5, 2021: According to The Independent, the US Senate convenes for Trump's Senate Impeachment Trial "around midday" on Tuesday February 9, 2021. Whether senators will convict and/or vote to deny the insurrectionist the ability to run for office in future is anyone's guess at this point. However, a peek at a 12:00 noon est horoscope set for Capitol Hill, February 9, 2021 may be of interest to some while annoying to others who favored Trump's authoritarian coup attempt against the US government on January 6, 2021. Basic chart notes are penned on:

As you see, chart-ruler Mercury @18AQ39 is retrograde which hopefully only shows that this is the US Senate's second go-round trying to hold Trump accountable for his actions but if we look ahead to Mercury's movements in relation to this chart, we find The Messenger planet turning Direct on February 20th @11AQ01 so Jupiter @12AQ07 will again be conjoined suggesting an expansion of discussions or plans, news about legal issues, and/or the involvement of religious figures in the situation. However, Jupiter is also the broadcaster, politician, General, guru, big banker, and corporatist or CEO. Obviously, the roles of journalists, reporters, and talking heads will be on display (MC) through the entire process, plus, Mercury's Rx condition as chart-ruler can also denote delays and other obstacles gumming up the works - and results may not turn out as expected (see Uranus rising, below).

For clues about how things will proceed, let's consider the three applying aspects of Mercury:

1. Square Mars (1A23) suggests incorrect information or directions, frustration, provoked anger, strong opinions or quarrels. 2. Conjunct Jupiter (6A32) is noted, above; 3. Conjunct Venus (8A29) suggests that advice or ideas concerning legal matters, joint ventures, and cooperation, plus, contract negotiations, and/or discussions about common goals with allies are apt to occur. Gossip is also a possibility.

Now here are a few more chart factors of note:

ASC 8Gem28 = US natal Uranus (unexpected or unusual events, disruptions, chaos, and/or coping ability - our totem planet of rebellion and anarchy, here representing the January 6th upheaval), and the Moon-Pluto Conjunction @25Cap16/29 in the 9th house of Legal Affairs. Therefore, a consideration of the potentials of the intense Moon-Pluto duo is in order:

"Thesis: The people's opinion about subjects like crime, war, or internal secrecy; the role of women in controlling self-destructive impulses; popular promises in appeals to the people.

Antithesis: Encourages violence or crime; people become doubtful about how to exert the proper controls on criminal or terrorist elements; obsessions which bring a misuse of the resources available for country or business." (Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets, Munkasey). #ad

Reinhold Ebertin adds, "The pursuit of selected objectives with fanatical zeal and with subsequent attainment without regard for other people; violent outbursts of feeling, inner shocks or emotional upheavals." Noel Tyl seconds the potential for "zeal" and adds, "One-sided emotional intensity and exaggerated new plans." The zealous energies are further emphasized by Moon-Pluto conjunct the Inauguration 2021 Midheaven; add the energies of US natal Pluto and we have "the need to fight whatever evils there are" (Munkasey).

Now besides the fact that the asteroid of Justice Astraea @20Sag43 conjuncts Trump's natal Moon-SN conjunction (7th house; justice for past actions?), we may also wish to consider a few midpoint pictures which may or may not apply to February 9th conditions (I'll leave it up to you to decide, dear reader); for these only Tyl is consulted for the sake of brevity:

Mercury-Jupiter = MC ('The Goal'): "successful planning; looking for the best side of things to come about."

Neptune-Pluto = Sun: "rationalization reigns over realism."

Mercury-Pluto = Saturn: "insistence on point of view; driven by fear of failure; needing control; unrelenting demands."

UPDATE February 7, 2021: A new wrinkle to the proceedings has been added by Trump attorney Schoen who wrote a letter to Senate leaders requesting that the Trump Impeachment trial be "suspended at 5:24 pm on Friday if it had not yet concluded" because he, being Jewish, observes the Sabbath. As long as the trial begins as noted, above, such a suspension only gives the Astrology of the matter a second horoscope, a bookend in time even if only temporary, to investigate! And of course Trump always loves any delay he can get. And curiously, advancing the chart to February 12, 2021 Capitol Hill to 5:24 pm est shows Mars and Uranus in Taurus bracketing the Midheaven (14Tau38). DC Horoscopes: July-August 2020 Lunations

July 13, 2020: Just a quick posting of the New and Full Moon DC Horoscopes for July 20 (28Can26 opposite US Pluto - and July 20 is the 3rd of 3 Mercury Returns for Trump to 8Can51), August 3 (11AQ45; prominent is the Mercury-Saturn opposition which suggests not wanting to hear what's being communicated and dissenting opinions), and August 18, 2020. Study notes are penned on the charts if you care to read them. We should mention that the natal Mars of Uranian Donald Trump will be activated on August 18th by a New Moon @26Leo35 - and New Moons can disrupt in similar Uranian fashion to Solar Eclipses:

Image below: As you see, Mercury the Messenger accompanies the August 18th New Moon and, if you're familiar with the natal horoscope of Trump, you know that Mercury @28Leo07 closely approaches his natal Ascendant which to me suggests the usual - that what he thinks and says is 'on the line' and/or open to scrutiny. Of course, with his natal Mars in egotistical, pompous Leo nearby, his actions are implicated as well, while the dark of a New Moon suggests secrets, scandals, sneaky activities, but also possible revelations and leaks. (Mary Trump's book is released tomorrow as I type so more info from her account of the dysfunctional Trump family seems a given.)

As you see, on August 18th, chart-ruler Venus applies only once - to oppose Jupiter - two money planets at odds, it seems. See lower left for my notes which include 'justice is self-serving', something we already know about Trump and 'his' DOJ, don't we? In fact, the August 3rd chart shows asteroid Astraea ('Justice') opposing deceptive planet of fraud and corruption, Neptune in sneaky, infectious Pisces! And though I neglected to pen it on the August 18th chart, Astraea by then will be at a critical-crisis 29th degree but still in analytical Virgo. In a day or two Astraea will reach 00Libra and in the founding horoscope I most often use for America, Astraea will conjunct the Midheaven ('MC'), The Goal Point of any chart - and that's Venus-ruled Libra, sign of the Scales of Justice!

Additionally, it may be significant that the July 20th New Moon @28Can26 points toward a symbolic cosmic event on August 20, 2020: The Progressed Full Moon of the DOJ! Of course, DOJ's SP Full Moon also opposes US natal Pluto in Capricorn so we know that titanic power struggles continue within and against our corrupted Justice System. My suspicion has been that financial pilfering is a part of fraudulent DOJ activities along with foreign raids on the US Treasury. And that's not even counting Congress and shady, dishonest corporate CEOs and Ivanka!

So the July and August 2020 Lunations reveal an America continuing to struggle against the winds of change while quarreling with ourselves and each other. Meanwhile, the transit of restrictive Saturn to US natal Pluto (Saturn Rx backed into Capricorn again) extends a period of power struggles and control issues when situations are simply too large to handle for now and re$ources are depleted (some stolen, some put to good use). Mature, authentic leadership would help immensely - see 'apex Saturn' notes on the August 18, 2020 chart, upper center, but we're having to wait a while longer for what may hopefully be a change of administrations that will bring in a Cabinet of folks who actually know how to govern; otherwise, we'll have to settle for the violent melee and mobsterism that Trump and his comrades are determined to continue forcing upon the American people as they attempt to keep him in office.

And with warrior-activist Mars strong in fiery Aries in the 6th house of Military, Police, and Civil Service in both the July 20th and August 3rd charts, it appears that We The People may need to depend upon military action to eject the blighter from the White House if our dream of a massive Blue Wave washing him out to sea comes to pass in November. Because with sociopath Trump backed by a criminal syndicate of global thugs, a simple loss at the ballot box on November 3rd could never be enough for him to take the hint and make like a leaf.

As you know, the month of July 2020 began with the 'cosmic blink' of a wild card eclipse: Capricorn Lunar Eclipse on July 5th opposing US natal Sun (POTUS) but is not listed, above, since it appears in a previous post.

June 13, 2020: SCOTUS Saturn under scrutiny

June 6, 2020: Since June 2020 is a significant month for Supreme Court (SCOTUS) decisions within the coronavirus contagion time frame let's took a look at the founding Horoscope for SCOTUS (February 1, 1790 9:00 am LMT NYC is the chart I use) and an unpleasant discovery: that the June 13, 2020 Mars-Neptune Conjunction lands directly upon the natal Saturn of the highest Court in the nation. Checking other significant US charts against Mars-Neptune @20Pis56, I found no other horoscope that resonated as closely with the conjunction except for the SCOTUS horoscope (1 minute orb). This doesn't meanthat there aren't any, it means that of the ones in my files I found none and this includes the Federal City Horoscope of April 21, 1791!

Naturally, everyone knows that realistic Saturn in Mundane Astrology is associated with law, attorneys, judges, courts, legal systems, lawmakers, government, business, and such along with the status quo and The Establishment. Time, tradition, standards, regulations, structures, limits, restriction, authority, authenticity, accountability, consolidation, seniors, managers, isolation, concentration, hard work, failure, and loss also come under karmic Saturn's rather wide umbrella. Yet in watery Pisces, solid Saturn can have a difficult time since his placement there reveals a karmic planet in a karmic sign so obviously the correct channeling of Saturnine energies can make or break an institution or an individual. For as you know, Saturn demands much but will (eventually!) reward those who follow his precepts in a responsible way. And with America's natal Saturn (1776) in Libra where Saturn is exalted (expresses best), we've come to expect that SCOTUS will carry out its traditional duties in the most admirable way possible - not always a realistic expectation, but it is always to be hoped, even in these trying times.

So with the June 13, 2020 Mars-Neptune Conjunction coming its way, the 1790 Horoscope of SCOTUS is pictured below with the Mars-Neptune Conjunction Horoscope snugged around it in bi-wheel form. The Mars-Neptune-to-Saturn transit is highlighted in green and red while the Moon (red) simultaneously conjoins SCOTUS' natal Venus, as you can see:

Yes, too many scribbles are squished upon the chart/s (mea culpa!) but hopefully you can enlarge the image to read them if you wish. Upper right contains a few of the potentials of the midpoint picture Mars-Neptune = Saturn but I'll also type them here for you: unfortunate consequences due to a weak will; being taken advantage of; perseverance; instability - and there's a bit more that couldn't be squished in such as: misdirected energy; feelings of inferiority; lasting weakness or illness; blocking of anger toward people who avoid reality (by intimidation, threats, blackmail?); frustrations encountered when punishing those who deceive others; pessimism over arguments received from clerics; reticence; a sense of futility. And to 'perseverance' add, in spite of fear.

Confusion, deceit, and/or some type of paralyzed activity may also be notable around the time of the blending of these energies particularly since America's problematic Mars-Neptune square may be involved with the Court's cases, people, and/or decisions. That's US natal Neptune @22Vir23 conjunct Descendant and US natal Mars in 3rd house near the Sun-Chiron conjunction which suggests a focus on dealing with moral and ethical principles and receiving acclaim for it.

Meanwhile, transit Mars to natal Saturn suggests careful planning, organization, and perhaps some type of delay, while transit Neptune to natal Saturn suggests potentials for either idealistic or misguided authority figures, eroding traditions or systems, and/or a new approach to handling authority.

In addition, the astrological archetype for Justice, asteroid Astraea, is found on June 18th conjunct the SCOTUS Mars-Jupiter Conjunction in late Leo - and therefore conjunct the natal Mars of Donald Trump (Mars = action, energy, motivation). For SCOTUS' natal Astraea look to mid-Capricorn and the 1790 chart's 11th cusp.

Neglected notes not penned on the June 18, 2020 chart include: Hour: Sun; Sun-Moon: 3rd quarter +273:35 = crisis in consciousness: and hidden manipulator Pluto Rx in Capricorn leads a BOWL shape of the planets, and he's bossily tilted toward success no matter the cost.

Now the Mars-Neptune Conjunction perfects on a Saturday (Saturn's day!) but note that on the SCOTUS calendar Opinion Issuance Days in June (Mondays) include June 15th, a mere two days after the Conjunction so we'll see what transpires and which cases and topics the Justices address. And if they appear to be acting independently of outside influences.

G20 Osaka Summit June 28-29, 2019: Wild Cards!

Of Cosmic Blinks, Wild Cards, and Secret Plans Uncovered

Although two 'wild card'/'cosmic blink' eclipses will soon manifest--one Solar, then a Lunar, both in July--someone has scheduled a G20 Summit within the timeframe of their influential vibrations. Known for revealing secrets and other hidden things, eclipses tend to stir up events in that Uranian way with sudden disruption and interruption while inconveniently exposing scandals and other tidbits best kept hidden. Revealing or not, complete changes of direction may result and we might even say that via eclipses, God blinks at mankind's antics--or, with a cosmic gotcha!, does He sometimes wink?

The 2019 G20 Osaka Summit is scheduled for June 28 and 29, 2019 in Osaka, Japan to be chaired by PM Shinzo Abe. One must assume that Donald Trump will blow in to the proceedings like a hot breeze with his usual chaos-creating demeanor and without participating as any previous US president would do.

The founding of Japan dates back to February 11, 660 BC and there are at least three modern horoscopes for the country. One chart you may wish to view is set for May 3, 1947 Tokyo when their post-war constitution went into effect (The Book of World Horoscopes, Campion, chart #172; ASC 18Leo57, MC 12Tau37 conjunct Sun 11Tau50, Moon 17Lib09 conjunct Trump's natal stationary Jupiter 17:27).

Now as you know, Trump is a brazen boundary-breaker, a condition well-described by his stationing Jupiter which turned Direct @17Lib27:07 a mere 3 hours 11 minutes after his birth (June 14, 1946 10:54 am Queens, NY). Plus, his natal Jupiter is also prominent because it conjoins two asteroids: Astraea (an archetype of justice!!) and Osiris. And as you know, fairness is a major concern of expansive Jupiter when in Libra, sign of Partnerships, and Trump's transactional nature stems in part from this placement with the natal sign of Jupiter revealing how one relates to other people--in his case, it's Aries-Libra's Me vs You axis.

As for the G20 Osaka Summit 2019, the background cosmic atmosphere can be described in part by the event's Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') in the 2 South Saros Series which perfected on January 5, 2019 (est) @15Cap25 with a theme of 'joining unusual groups and gaining a great deal'. Yes, the G20 is a group yet considering this event when 'world leaders' get together for secret conferences to discuss the rest of us, my suspicion is that the summit may fall more under the auspices of the upcoming 3 North Solar Eclipse of July 2, 2019 @10Can37 for June 28 and 29 are certainly within the two-week range of influence prior to the perfection of the 3N eclipse. And its themes definitely relate directly to America for its degree falls between our national Jupiter (5Can56) and Sun (13:19) with business-oriented, Moon-ruled Cancer a sign of tribalism, protectionism, security needs, patriotism, and the Homeland. Plus, it may very well be that masses of refugees seeking homes are on the 2019 G20 agenda. Unhelpfully, transit Jupiter (the financier and the politician) remains retrograde until August 11, 2019 in its own sign of Sagittarius, sign of the foreigner and the immigrant.

That difficult events have occurred in the past under 3 North eclipse vibes cannot be denied but hopefully our world will not veer too far astray (or toward a deceptively 'trumped up' war with Iran) under 3 North themes as 'world leaders' (aka, figureheads) meet in Osaka, Japan, knock heads together, arrogantly plan our futures, discuss financial arrangements, and drink toasts to what they consider their 'success'...during the last week of June 2019.

Horoscopes: May 1 and 2, 2019 AG Barr to Capitol Hill

Two DC Horoscopes are shown here: May 1, 2019 10:00 am edt (inner) and May 2, 2019 10:00 am edt (outer). Today AG Bill Barr is to testify under questioning chaired by Republicans, tomorrow (possibly at 9:00 am edt) AG Barr may testify under questioning by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee if arrangements are agreed upon. Note that on both days the Sun 10-12 Taurus shines upon asteroid Astraea, goddess of Justice. Notes on Saturn conjunct South Node of the Moon are penned on the chart (upper right) while the Moon (We the People; the public mood) is in Mars-ruled Aries which should assure the hearings much public attention and denotes anger or at least active participation in social and other media on this topic.

Rising is America's natal Sun in Cancer (13Can19) denoting the Office of the Presidency which makes the Moon in Aries ruler of the chart so apparently the American public's demand for these hearings are rising or are the reason hearings are being held. Are we feeling wounded? I would say, yes, we know we are and the only aspect by the Moon in the May 1st chart is her conjunction to Chiron (2A14). But on May 2nd, Luna meets with Venus (0A18 at 10:00 am) which sounds lovely yet can also denote moodiness and assessments of weakness and of being easily led (Democrats beware!). Feminine influence (Amy Klobuchar? Kamala Harris?) is indicated as well yet the Moon-Venus conjunction occurs opposite US natal Saturn (14Lib48), a significator of accountability, our legal system and lawmakers (including those grandstanding for the cameras during these hearings). This trio also hints that some form of renunciation may occur and certainly rigid feelings will be shown; lady lawyers playing their parts are also indicated by Moon-Venus-Saturn.

Falsehood and failures are seen via the continuing Mars-Jupiter Rx opposition which has been squaring veiling Neptune now waning but Neptune is strong in its sign of shady Pisces. However, the Mars-Jupiter midpoint sits upon MC (The Goal Point) showing that favorable arrangements have been made and some measure of success will follow. As you see, the opposition links directly to Donald Trump via his natal Sun-NN (Uranus)/Moon-SN opposition (penned, lower right) with unpredictable, chaotic Uranus acting as always as Trump's 'guiding' planet in his 10th house of Career and Public Status. Mars-to-Sun: he's feeling energetic and angry, Jupiter-to-Moon: he's feeling 'happy' yet Jupiter is weakened (Rx) while leading a BOWL shape of planets. Trump's happiness is based on fluctuating foundations. Still, this is an opposition between testy Mars and expansive Jupiter so overestimation of one's strength and capabilities is evident and can lead to dangerous consequences.

The hearings are occurring during a Balsamic phase of the Moon, the darkened phase when 'things go bump in the night' and someone could be replaced. The upcoming New Moon @14Taurus on May 4th falls upon America's Inauguration Ascendant (the Presidential Oath of Office) but since powerful forces continue supporting Trump in the Oval Office (for now), will calls for AG Barr's resignation become louder? We'll know more of such topics by the light of the Full Moon @27Scorpio on May 18th which falls within the natal 4th house of Donald Trump.

Now in both hearing charts, above, prominent is Neptune in Pisces, a signature of the Republican Party (1854), at Midheaven which is the 'hiding in plain sight' significator so it's doubtful that ongoing lies, illusions, and obfuscations will be fully revealed today or tomorrow if they turn up at all during these hearings but will be on display for all to see (MC) along with official scandals of large proportions -- plus, there is fixed star Denebola at IC (The Foundation Point of the Matter) with its 'to go against society' theme suggesting that many if not all of these political actors are doing little more than performing a mystery play for public consumption -- for there also at IC sits US natal Neptune which, like the typical astrological Neptune, so often puts on a good if illusory show.

Sotomayor: a wise Latino woman on Capitol Hill 7.13.09

Yes, today is the day that SCOTUS nominee Sonia Sotomayor makes her way to the Masonic Temple on Capitol Hill, affectionately known as 'our' Capitol Building, to begin the process of being vetted for the top bench of the nation.

Questioning begins tomorrow, Tuesday, yet her statement today makes for an interesting combination of Sun in Cancer, Moon in Pisces, then Moon on to Aries Point at 10:39 am edt. Aries Point (AP) is, of course, a World Point where important things can happen within prominent personal projections. The AP is ruled by contentious Mars rather than by the dreamy Jupiter/Neptune of inspired Pisces.

My thought is that Sonia Sotomayor wouldn't be where she is today without a strong natal Mars being consciously and assertively channeled...Pisces to Aries: dreams put into action.

Yet there are small men on Capitol Hill who feel threatened by a woman with such a well-directed Mars! And we'll probably be aware of their names before the week is out if we don't know them already. "Outside the mainstream" and "judicial activist" are their complaints so far, yet she is a more experienced (Mars) judge than any of the exalted ones who now sit on the US Supreme Court bench.

But tossing a wrench in the works may be all the Rs can manage to do to undermine the president's agenda, so the Rs must have a chance to try their spins by performing their tricks this week at the Capitol Hill Theater.

If astrologically we take today's planets (and their aspects to one another) as indicative of Sotomayor's singular week on The Hill, we see that support is certainly there for the Moon (a woman) from Mars and from Saturn with only one very big fly in the judicial oiuntment - a square from heavyweight Pluto.

This indicates that her determination to achieve will be deeply tested while her previous personal history and old attitudes are placed under the microscopes of Congress and the media. Publishing, of course, is linked with Pluto, and Moon/Pluto signifies public relations and propaganda (both for and against the nominee.)

Well, I wasn't feeling too optimistic for Judge Sotomayor's SCOTUS prospects when I wrote about her nomination chart of May 26, 2009, 10:15 am edt even though the Moon 4Can31 had moved beyond opposition from Pluto, but was conjunct her natal Sun 3Can+ (birth time unknown, born June 25, 1954, Bronx, NY.)

Her May 26 nomination chart shows 4Leo50 rising with Sun as chart-ruler making no applying aspects (which emphasizes the Sun's sign and house position - 5Gem28 in 11th house conjunct asteroid, Pan, one of the trickster elements but associated with law through the ancient sign of Capricorn); May 26 was just after the New Moon 3Gem28 which fell upon Mr. Obama's natal Moon, a fortunate factor for new beginnings in his Lunar Return of May 2009.

Transiting Astraea - keywords: law and justice - is Rx at 3AQ08, interestingly the position of Inauguration 2009's Jupiter in 10th house (noon est, Capitol Building, Jan 20, 2009.) One of Jupiter's many hats is: the judge. This indicates that if confirmed, Judge Sotomayor will be an integral part of the president's team (or so presidents always assume about SCOTUS judges!)

Charts for tomorrow, when the questioning begins, show Moon reaching '13Aries'..."A Bomb Which Has Failed to Explode Is Safely Hidden."

I mention this primarily because Republicans have stated that Sotomayor will be confirmed unless something 'explosive' occurs during the hearing - hark! I think I hear the sound of GOP operatives tinkering away at the wires now...especially considering today's position of asteroid Hopi - keywords: ambush; prejudice - conjunct Sotomayor's natal Sun 3Can+ and thus opposing her natal Mars.

So today's Pluto 1Cap29 is conjunct Sotomayor's natal Mars 2Cap20 (in her 12:58:02 pm edt chart, the hour of Sun-to-Midheaven in NY on her day of birth) so plutonian power has come to call with the ability to 'magic wand' her Supreme Court hopes into the annals of history as long as her actions (Mars) coordinate with the larger program of the ultimate behind-the-strings power-player, Pluto in Capricorn, sign of law, the courts, politics, and business.
