Living On Earth features Mayan Calendar Prophecy Dec 2012

June 18, 2011: Today's Living On Earth addresses several important topics which include:

Congress blocking FDA approval for transgenic fish (if only US lawmakers would stand firm against all 'Frankenfood', right?), the life and legacy of creative (Neptune) scientist (Saturn) George Washington Carver, space weather and a brand new cycle of sunspot activity, climate change creating more intense weather, and the science of wildfires.

Then it's new FDA regulations on sunscreen products, Henry David Thoreau's lessons for living a 'deliberate life', and more.

Also featured on today's LOE is an interview concerning the Mayan Calendar and (alleged) prophecy about the world 'ending' on either December 21, 2012 or December 23, 2012. Will Earth and Planet X collide for Winter Solstice 2012? Or will Earth simply putter to a stop? (My basic view is that only God will end this incarnation of planet Earth. However, difficult days and Earth Shifts are ahead. You may disagree as you wish!)

Even the mainstream media promotes the Mayan Calendar obsession which is certainly a good reason to stay cool about it given its high propaganda value to our current fearmongers.

Some say that rumors of a 2012 doomsday are being spread so that people can make money which sounds plausible to me considering opportunistic human nature!

Yet a transcript of PBS's April 2008 broadcast Cracking the Maya Code is available...is it becoming more timely by the minute?

Yes, they had the good sense to keep tabs on eclipses and other planetary activities. Astrology of the Clean Air Act effective Dec 17, 1963

Since the Clean Air Act came into effect on December 17, 1963 levels of acid rain of the 70s and 80s were successfully limited and a few amendments have been made.

Yet today, as Living On Earth reports, acid rain has again become a problem but now it's mainly coming from different sources such as agricultural practices. (Click for LOE's interview text or audio.)

So what were our solar system's planetary actors up to when the Clean Air Act was first put into effect in 1963? And which Solar Eclipse Series did its implementation fall into?

Checking the chart for Dec 17, 1963 noon EST Capitol Building, we find the Moon in Capricorn (law, government, business) for the full 24-hour period, so let's begin with the sometimes opportunistic Sun Sag-Moon Cap blend which describes a social conscience on an enthusiastic quest for both meaning (Sag) and usefulness (Cap.)

This blend has two Images for Integration:

Hmmm...is living on another planet at the top of a secret agenda after using up the resources and defiling the Earth's environment beyond repair? If so, then we know who is primarily to blame: the resource plundering class whose genesis is marked by the Robber Baron era, the Great Conjunction of oily Neptune and plundering Pluto in the 1890s!

A new cycle for mankind began as Neptune and Pluto met 3 times: August 2, 1891 @ 8Gem38, Nov 5, 1891 @ 8Gem19, and April 30, 1892 @ 7Gem42; their Great Conjunction/s provide a natal chart for our Modern Era. These degrees in the Tropical zodiac are where transiting Midas and Pan linger now...Midas, the royal Gold-Hoarder, and Pan, the trickster and flute-player associated with the labyrinthine sign of Capricorn.

Interestingly, the 7 - 9 Gemini area of the zodiac coincides with America's natal Uranus 8Gem55 of 1776, the planet of science, progress, radical changes, revolution, disruption, genius, and/or awakening. So we may wish to consider the midpoint picture which formed with US n Uranus way back in the 1890s especially since for all intents and purposes, the picture remains in effect, for no Nep/Plu conjunction will appear on Earth's calendar any time soon.

Through excessive use, large amounts of drugs have ended up in the US water supply and has become a dire health issue as well, hasn't it?

Both planets would go on to conjoin US natal Neptune 22Vir25, with Uranus to n Neptune increasing our need to fulfill ideals and spiritual inspirations (ex: "Be ye stewards of the earth" - Scripture - jc) as quirky Uranus upset the status quo of our nation's accustomed Neptunian yet practical ideals through actions of the Flower Power Generation, and the grass roots Power To The People movement. (Not that kind of grass. Well...maybe it helped a little.)

Later, tr Pluto to US n Neptune brought a period when political, economic, and physical power struggles surfaced and power became an illusion. Undetected forces of secret hand Pluto slowly eroded national power which may in part describe the progressively 'toothless' enforcement of the Clean Air Act and other legislation and movements of the time (Civil Rights Act, Vietnam War protests, etc.)

The Clean Air Act of 1963 falls into the 1 North Solar Eclipse Series which manifested on July 20, 1963 @ '1Sag', the "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire" degree. (This is the PE of both JFK's assassination in Masonic Dealey Plaza and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima 1945. President Harry Truman is known to have been a Freemasonry member.)

The most recent occurrence of 1N is the famous 'King of Alarm' or 'Terror' Eclipse of August 11, 1999 @ '19Leo' as noted by Nostradamus. The next manifestation of 1N will be on August 21, 2017 @ '29Leo' - if we haven't been left so unprotected from industrial practices and contaminates that we've coughed ourselves into oblivion long beforehand.

1N: unexpected events involving groups or friends with relationship issues looming large; hasty decisions are inadvisable since information is distorted and possibly false; elements of fatigue and health problems are attached (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

Well, a lack of clean air certainly brings mankind a myriad of health problems, a condtion which causes the words 'particulate matter' to come easily to mind and lung.

Meanwhile, just when I think my list of frets about this changing world is as long as it can reasonably get, along comes What in the World Are They Spraying? and I'm up in the air over something else again: SAG.

You know how the New World Order types (the ones wanting to impose global chaos so we'll accept any serf system they have in mind - for serfs who are still around) bombard us with 'satisfy your senses' messages and enticements in the media?

A society of folk who careen from one satisfaction to another is a society that notices only what is right in front of its nose, when all the while a variety of events and results are happening just outside their the fields of vision. Things that would alarm if noticed.

In that spirit, I recommend that you to read the above article concerning out-of-sight-out-of-mind SAG. And remember to Look Up and don't accept what you see as someone else's prerogative over your and your descendants' very existences - for those are what plutocratic string-pullers have placed on the line.

One of my favorite resources for information or news about the global eco-system is Living On Earth. Fixing Earth's climate is a favored topic there and today on the radio program they're featuring chef Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution and interviewing him. Now I don't know if you've been watching the TV show where the British Mr. Oliver goes into US schools and turns their menus into decent grub, but I have. And I appreciate it.

It just began airing so you can catch up if you've missed it.

Yet no eye opener is needed here about processed 'foods' but those busy satisfying their cravings for foods laced with mace, sugar, salt, and who-knows-what-else are in process of having their taste buds re-educated by Mr. Oliver! Of course, the schools' budgets are not up to the challenge so I'm not sure where the show is going with Oliver's Food Revolution unless towns he visits decide to make important changes after he moseys into the sunset and the camera lights go down.

But I do hope the spotlight helps. Feeding our school kids nourishing chow would go along way toward scholastic achievement along with the many health benefits this would bestow...too numerous to list.

One of the craziest days my ears ever perked up over concerning Politics was the day the media began reporting that President Ronald Reagan's new adjustment in balancing America's school menus was that ketchup is a vegetable. How's that for Orwellian?

Or, as I adore saying: I knew it was you, Reagan.

Earth Hour at the White House?

One of my favorite radio programs Living on Earth has a feature with interviews of the presidential candidates (there are only three and you know who they are) concerning their stands on the green question, global warming, etc.

It includes mention of energy industry funding which seemingly makes their fine campaign rhetoric moot. But all presidents come with strings attached or he/she couldn't have gotten a hoof in the door!

Guess you're making plans for tonight's Earth Hour. What will you do with all the lights out for an hour? Never mind, you don't have to gossip on yourself!

New Zealand anf Figi started the lights-out, of course, and our turn here in Georgia is in 7 hours, so right now I'm looking at the chart for Atlanta, 8:00 pm edt.

The chart for Sydney, AU has few differences from the Atlanta chart as far as planets, midpoints, etc, so I'll use the 8 pm and 9 pm charts for Atlanta which is just down the road from where I type.

8 pm: ASC 11Lib47/ 9 pm = ASC 23Lib55 with lovely Arcturus rising: a different approach; leading and protecting people as they embrace a new lifestyle although the Via Combusta rises during the hour as well--aka the Burning Way (15Lib to 15Sco.)

Well, perhaps lights-out is a good way to 'use' the Via Combusta which is normally considered a nasty bit of zodiacal real estate.

And a new lifestyle with smaller carbon footprints is a humanitarian goal for which we must now strive thanks to greed and overindulgences of the past.

In Atlanta's 8 pm chart, Moon/Mc midpoint is rising...

Moon/Mc = ASC: self-evaluation. The Moon/Mc midpoint itself is: one's strongest needs are out in the open.

Sun 9Ari40 has just set, chart-ruler Mercury 23Pis23 in 6th house along with Venus 21Pis04 just beyond yesterday's conj with Uranus 19Pis50, a new yearly cycle of activity for Venus/Uranus: artists, extravagant people (!), rhythm, music, love, unusual relationships, peculiar notions...and erratic habits with finances.

Moon 10Cap42 has just crossed the Ic into 3rd house of communications/neighborhoods and is snugged between Pluto 1Cap09 and Jupiter 19Cap54...

Jupiter/Pluto = Moon: desire to bring about social improvements; ability to influence the masses through an emotional appeal; emotional conviction guides a new start.

Feisty Mars 9Can50 is at Midheaven (the goal) with Fixed Star Alhena, whose keysords are: to have a mission.

Mars and Mc are part of a Fist of God pattern which is similar to a YOD (Finger of God) but with more 'punch' so we have these pictures with the base of the pattern a square to ASC and pointing to idealistic Neptune 23AQ23...

Mars/ASC = Neptune: magnetism; out of the mainstream; withdrawal as an option; lack of energy.

Mars/ASC = NN: excellent teamwork.

Well, last I heard, 26 major world cities and 300+ towns and have signed up to participate.

ASC/MC = Neptune: idealization; spirituality; quiet.

Yep, things should be quieter than usual for an hour at least! And Earth Hour is a great example of idealization manifesting into action.

ASC/MC = NN: an obliging person (you?); seeking contacts with others; new faces in the environment.

Don't let the wooly-boogers get ya!

Mars/ASC = Saturn (2Vir40 Rx): inhibitions; inbilitiy to express one's ower potential in the right way (it's only for an hour!); sharing worries and anxieties with others.

Then there's the T-square which forms this picture with the Sun conj asteroid Pallas (wisdom; strategy; protector of cities)...

Moon/Mars = Sun: the power to establish oneself in the world (!); conscious of an objective; striving for independence; prosperity through harmonious cooperation.

And when the Hour ends at 9 pm, Atlanta time, this midpoint will be rising...

Jupiter/Mc = ASC: harmony; a festivity.

Were you a young girl between the years of 1945 to 1965?

Here's an excerpt for which I personally have a reply:

Q: So how were the girls exposed to DDT?

A: We can't say for sure. We don't have that information.

My I-Was-There Answer: Since I am of that age group I hereby attest that every summer trucks were sent around our neighborhoods two or three times each year (and I always seemed to be playing outdoors--and learned to like the odor!) to spray for mosquitoes...Massive Spraying from which we could not escape.

Dr. Cohn should perhaps consider perusing 1945--1965 local governmental records for mosquito control programs.
