How Purposeful Washington's Political Games Now Seem

All logic tossed out the window, there are factions in the US determined to topple our republic and one of their tactics is to pile responsibility for current, dire financial straights onto the "backs of the poor" with President Obama at the helm and, one must assume, complicit in a radical and daft recipe for systemic collapse.

("We will bury you", pronounced Soviet leader Nikita Kruschev to America during my childhood. Thanks for that memory, Nikki. But you're just another in a long line of jackassian politicians in my book.)


Well, Ray McGovern's article Obama on the Backs of the Poor from August 3, 2011 is worth a second look if you've had a first--or is a not-to-be-missed if you did. Apparently daftness and perfidy masquerading as recklessness rules Washington Politics more than ever though I will not give passes for those who mismanage by design. To paraphrase Max Igan, US government officials and workers are in breach of contract as our employees if they don't effectively do the jobs that come with their positions.

As one-world-government types like to parrot loudly: rule of law! --which should effectively include lawmakers, their minions, staffs, operatives, and all bureaucrats.

A difference though is that the VP and President are not actually elected by the people but by the squirrelly electoral college of muckedy mucks. Perhaps one of the big 'secrets' of America's 'invisible' government from founding times is that the aristocrats won the lotto and most of the spoils which often accrued and accrue from the labor of working men and women.

My, how we haven't spiritually progressed as factions work tirelessly to make providing for the 'general welfare' a thing of the past--it's been made to seem "too expensive" to waste money on the poor and disadvantaged. Has compassion become old-fashioned in America? Then we-the-people must lift it up!


A Quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

Growing up within an hour or so from the reverend's home church in Atlanta, Ga, I remember hearing his voice and words on radio, TV, and in the news. As noted in the article above, *Rev. Martin Luther King Jr in a 1950s era speech said this:

"A nation or civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its own spiritual death on an installment plan."

For me this follows Biblical examples of consumption of rich foods (and in our cases, foods contaminated with toxins and re-engineered with frankensteinian intent--some would cry, "eugenics" or "guinea-pig-ism") causing physical and mental weakness rather than imparting strength as nutritious food should do, and causing a constant undermining of health on many levels and during all decades of our lives.

*On using a quote from Dr. King on SO'W, it's happened before yet I admit to reading some information recently on his alleged connections to communist groups or individuals--but i am not convinced. For given the blatant hounding of the popular leader who could sway the masses, awaken our Higher Natures, and beneficially affect our social order in the process, his opponents' assertions about him are difficult to trust. And as Dr. King's Chiron-in-Pisces pastorship began meshing issues of Civil Rights, Workers' Rights, and the Peace Movement under his revival tent, he was then seen as a dangerous man by certain 'special' interests having a larger agenda to force one-world-government--the one we now see being implemented more openly than before as their trap is almost set.

And it was as President that George H. W. Bush first publicly intoned the term "new world order" in speeches along with a chilling promise (aka, threat) that the shadowy 'they' will be successful imposing a totalitarian, Saturnian-Neptunian system over the entire globe and over what they are determined will be a surveillance-police state-America risen from the ashes, the Illuminati's spying all-seeing-eye over the 13-step pyramid's missing capstone on the never-officially used and masonic- symbol-ridden reverse side of America's Great Seal.

A Saturn-Neptune Spot Check 2011

Saturn (government; systems; restrictions) with Neptune (secret; veils; the masses; the media; paranoia) denotes 'secret' or 'invisible' 'government' which shows in America's natal chart/s of July 4, 1776 with Saturn @ 14Lib48, and Neptune @ 22Vir25 (conjoined with the natal Mars of Barack Obama.) In our oft-utilized natal chart set for 5:10 pm LMT, we see the midpoint of the Secret Government pair @ 3Lib37--close enough in orb to the New Moon of September 27, 2011 @ 4Lib00 to indicate a 'new cycle of activity' beginning in relation to America's secret or invisible government plans and policies.

Of late. transit Uranus in early Aries ('Utopians' according to Ebertin) has been triggering or catalyzing the midpoint of US natal Saturn/Neptune...n Sat/Nep = tr Uranus: sudden weaknesses emerge; excitability; irritability; peculiar inclinations; upsets cause illness; inner unrest (of a people or a nation.) (R. Ebertin; any, all, or none may apply.)

Of course, to reach the Sept 27 New Moon we must first enter and navigate the 3-day period of the Dark Moon when hidden things go bump in the night and society's infestations of satanic forces opportunistically act with even more impunity. Sudden emergence of financial weaknesses cannot be ruled out, as we've already seen of late. Plus, the Saturn-Neptune pair of energies also carries a 'materialism v idealism' connotation.

And though a Dark Moon phase is an excellent time to lay low or chillax, my thought is that for best results in coming days, beware too many entertaining distractions because these people play for keeps, y'all, 2012 is upon our doorsteps, and from Sept 27's New Moon into 2012/13 will mark a watershed phase for all of humanity. Messing this up is not an option, really.

Another thought to mention concerning President Obama is that he and MLK share the natal placement of Chiron in mystical Pisces (a Seeker on a Quest, perhaps for the 'Holy Grail'), and BHO is now in the midst of his Chiron Return, a numinous passage in life which occurs around age 50 that, in his case, is a five-fer (5 conjunctions of transit Chiron to his natal Chiron's zodiacal position.) Now some people don't care for the ways of Alex Jones yet he's one of the few now speaking of such potentials as human activities causing earthquakes. And we know there exist in the world gangs of robbers in hiding and win-at-any-cost brigands (the political arm) and criminals (the enforcing arm) of a network who think it's all about them and scr*w the rest.

Then there are religious crazies who imagine they can speed up God's timetable and bring on Armageddon as if they would be somehow benefit from such a self-destructive plan! As if God someday would say, Thanks for the spur, religious zealots, I needed inspiration from you to act because I was wavering on The Plan I created before the Earth was formed. What would I do without your arrogant meddling? Puh!

Of course, ego inflation is one of the factors knitting the reptilian-brained together and love of money (the root of all evil) is a driving motivation for them all. Is murder self-loathing turned outward? Fixed Star Denebola (near US natal Neptune 22Vir25) tells such a tale: to go against society which, when the star is active, can affect all dimensions of life from financial fraud and greed to acts of violence in a community, with all manner of selfishness in between.

So now, in August 2011 with a New Moon 5Vir27 about to conjoin President Obama's natal Pluto 6Vir59 on the evening of August 28 (11:04 pm edt), we may wonder which side our politicians are on: is it going against society to wish our education system into history's waste bin? Is the immorality of forcing the elderly, hungry children, the impaired, and the ill onto American streets something the Republican Party wants to bring to our nation with their austerity cuts and cold hearted attitudes?

We know Washington--through the tyranny of the Federal Reserve Bank--holds our purse strings when it's time to aid Main Street while rewarding Wall Street criminals who freely stroll golden avenues. Are Americans being backed into corners in order to encourage protests in great numbers? It would seem so. Why else has the US government expectantly armed and trained soldiers and police if not to beat and arrest their fellow citizens?

(If you get out there to protest peacefully, Beware 'planted' looters who ramp up the action so that police forces dressed in draconian Darth Vader costumes can knock some heads. Seriously.)

Times of Turmoil: Uranus Square Pluto

The riotous mid-1960s saw the Great Conjunction/s of the revolutionary pair, Uranus and Pluto, which now have reached a square (90 degrees) in their orbits (360 degr) so that intense frustration is obvious yet blocked, societal problems resurface from the 60s era, but obstacles stand in the way of easy resolution. Social unrest and riots are sweeping across the globe and Americans are paying closer attention to sorry politicians than we have in a long time. Is it our turn to rise up?

Hurricane Postpones MLK Memorial Dedication

As you know, August 28, 2011 @ 11:00 am edt was set to begin the official ceremony dedicating the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial Statue on the Washington Mall, with Dr. King shown emerging from the stone, exalted by the very government that may have been culpable in his assassination. Marking the 48th anniversary of Dr. King's I Have a Dream Speech and the Memorial's Dedication will be postponed until September or October.

Yes, The Preacher (Jupiter) spoke too plainly, made too much sense, and threatened The Establishment (Saturn) by combining the issues of the Civil Rights Movement, the Anti-War Movement, and a blossoming Workers Rights Movement into one huge collection for Americans who wanted their due--and non-violently, thanks. Yes, Dr. King was too popular and may have presented behind-the-scenes 'king-makers' with a challenge in the US presidential arena if allowed to expand his audience and sentiments. Our freedom documents were of no moment for the plutonians who had changed America's course before by assassination of Lincoln, JFK, and others who'd been more what we-the-people in the majority wanted--and continue to want--to lead our nation.

When Saturn Returns #3

Yet on August 28, 2011, no stormy weather can interfere with the third of three conjunctions from transiting Saturn to US natal Saturn, aka, a Saturn Return, with Saturn ruling, among other things, stone, rock, granite, monuments, and permanence. Why, our Saturn Return may include the bad weather!

In addition, accountability, responsibility, restriction, austerity, old age, and other such Saturnian themes remain on our menu as our Exalted in Libra (the Scales of Justice) Saturn returns to its natal spot and thereby repeats its square to US natal Sun (leader; leadership) from July 4, 1776.

A Sun/Saturn square contains dynamic energy which, in 1776, represented our nation's struggle to express and manifest authority in the way any entity would wish: freely and maturely. The limiting quality of Saturn (lawmakers, courts = two branches of government) placed 'checks and balances' upon a potentially runaway Executive branch (Sun)--or was originally meant to, in an attempt to prevent monarchism. (Turns out, US monarchism seems to be reserved primarily for Supreme Court justices since the Marbury v Madison decision of 1803--but that's another post!)

My point is that any US Saturn Return brings to the surface similar issues to be dealt with in the current era, and hopefully to be resolved (#3 hit of 3 as resolution phase) in a way that actually benefits the nation in the realm of staid Saturn's concerns. Paying one's debts comes to mind (Saturn = loss; default.)

An Astro-Peek at When US Authority and Authenticity Changed

In the Fall 2010 issue of Julie Demboski's Eclipse e-zine (subscription only, now an email subscription and worth it!), I wrote a column called American Empire: When Jupiter Bowed to the Sun which detailed my views on one of the signposts along the way of America's change of trajectory toward overreach, over-expansion, overspending, quixotic notions leading us astray, and excessive arrogance and greed.

This is not our Founders' country anymore, as many Americans feel!

Astrological Jupiter's connection to idealism, broadened horizons, philosophy, and finances figures into the path-diverted picture as well for a planet moving direct at birth (July 4, 1776 US natal Jupiter 5Can56 conjunct US natal Sun and Venus) may turn retrograde by progression depending on whether it turns Rx in real time (1776), and a progressed chart is based on a natal chart when the 'clock' starts ticking by degree as well as moment--for America's founding, Jupiter began @ 5Can56.

So, you ask, just when did America's planet of Jupiterian realms turn Rx onto a more inward-looking, subtle, distanced course which transformed its participation with other natal planetary energies? Precisely on November 15, 1905, and right away we think of President Teddy Roosevelt, the Progressive Social Movement, the soon to blowup Panic of 1907, and the resulting creation of the privately-owned Federal Reserve Bank. Besides, today I want to focus on US *Sec Saturn's Rx Station on December 14, 1996 during the President Clinton era--especially with the final conjunction of US Saturn by transit to US natal Saturn @ 14Lib48, our national Saturn Return, occurring soon on August 28, 2011--the date that the new Martin Luther King Jr Memorial is to be dedicated in Washington, DC. Plus, Saturn rules stone and stone markers, of course, in an attempt to create a permanent (Saturn) remembrance of a person or event.

Astrological Saturn, as you know, rules such things as authority, accountability, responsibility, austerity, reality, restriction, constriction, restraint, constraint, reserve, inhibition, Time, delay, endings, discipline, loss, lack...but also form, function, structure, walls and boundaries (even bones, teeth, skin), prisons, membranes, old age, the elderly, etc. You know the senex scoop.

If such a Rx change of direction by progression occurs simultaneously with major transits (as they did with US Sec Jupiter's Rx Station of 1905--lots of powerful Mars/Pluto action in the early 1900s), then a "backdrop for new perspectives" becomes evident although it will be subtle at first. However, something tangible may happen during that year (1996), perhaps directed by those who are aware of the planetary change, and some US leaders are nothing if not aware of such subtle forces which they attempt to engineer to suit their wills--the old win-win way of playing the game for those in charge. Plus, a need-to-know-basis is used for keeping the strings of power within certain hands.

With Saturn Stationing Rx, a progressed trine to the Sun follows in about 11 to 13 years when a fruition of some kind is achieved which stems from the year of the directional change--1996, here, so the years 2007--2009 are implicated (US Sec Full Moon Sun 4Pis10, December 2008, occurred less than one degree past the Sec Sun/Saturn trine.)

This info, of course, provides us with a time frame linking the internalization of America's Saturnian functions (such as authority, authenticity, realism) during the Clinton era 1996 (his second term) into the era of George Bush and on into the Obama Inauguration of January 20, 2009--and beyond to this very moment, for Mr. Obama is still in office.

Yes, the presidential baton was passed from Dubya to Barry in 2009, yet on many levels, the new boss of Saturnian authority acts much the same as the old, doesn't he? And we have basically the same problems grinding on.

So looking back to the Clinton era we may one day be able to see a suspension or weakening of Saturnian functions more than we can now. And it would take months or years for me to study and blog at you concerning the effects of Saturn's directional shift as evidenced by actual events. (My Sec Jupiter Rx Station article took about 5 months off and on to compile and compose.)

Besides, you probably remember some of the authoritarian actions or non-actions of the Clinton administration (the February 28, 1993 Siege of Waco comes to mind as Sec Saturn was slowing down in preparation, already on its Station degree @ 3Sco24 and had just crossed Sec IC by progression into 3rd house where it remains) but here is a brief list of December 14, 1996 events to whet the whistle of those who are concerned with the condition of the US government and the inverted condition of our Saturn, planet of government, law, and business.

Yes, it's 2011 and America's 'broken systems' have been in the news every day now since 2007/08--and tottering, they tell us, on the brink of Saturnian collapse with transit Pluto (transformation; destruction) in Capricorn working his toppling magic.

The rest of 1996 applies as well but why not use the actual date since we have it?

Now you'll note from these news stories the use of Saturnian words such as loyalist, rigid rules, big conservative, hostages, governor, law-politics-labor-business, blockages, obstacles, and other terms which tie in directly to Saturnian themes and issues.

All 5 articles are from the Baltimore Sun and the list begins with the nation that is now our biggest creditor and a man who, it states, once worked for General Electric:

China's new man in Hong Kong Governor-elect Tung Chee-hwa was a big conservative in the US;

Clinton taps Reno, Richardson, Daley Commerce, U.N. posts go to loyalists (contains 'free' trade agreement mention--current lack of US tariff barriers now pose a huge problem along with Ross Perot's predicted "sucking sound" of US jobs being shipped overseas, aka, the NAFTA SHAFTA);

Daley has ties to law, politics, labor, business Son of Chicago mayor ran Clinton's '92 Ill. campaign (Daley 'managed' it: Saturn!);

Businesses challenge Glendening lawsuit planned to block Governor on collective bargaining;

Richardson has knack for freeing hostages abroad Nominee for U.N. envoy also is Clinton loyalist with Hispanic roots.


Well, do you feel that 'something changed in America' during Clinton's presidency as his 'authority' was constantly under challenge and threat from the GOP? Our legal system certainly was affected by the brouhaha. But I'm not so certain that the legal challenges by conservatives to his administration weren't just staged Political Theater meant for public consumption (and for the usual dividing-and-conquering of the people, plus, a financial boondoggle) for it isn't as if the Clinton presidency ended over Ken Starr's investigation, now is it?

Thom Hartmann on the 'Party of No' (video)

For nine minutes progressive broadcaster Thom Hartmann sums up the dynamics of the recent tragedy in Tucson and gives an historic overview of the conservative 'Party of No' beginning with President Obama's uplifting message about our nation and that of Sarah Palin and her ilk.

The Party of No has quite a laundry list of obstructionism to its credit (debit) and I shudder to think what this nation would be like now if they'd always gotten their way through the decades. Thom mentions one of the more interesting eras, that of the Gilded Age of the Robber Barons. It's their biological and philosophical spawn who continue their heartless plunder across the globe now and threaten a complete rent in the social fabrics of America and every other nation. Their and the *Vatican's vision of a one-world-government drives us forward - yet backward - into totalitarian rule.

So with Monday January 17, 2011 being Martin Luther King Day, I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen to what (imho) places the credit where it squarely belongs for whatever social progress our nation has managed to obtain against the forces of No.

A Goose-Step Down Memory Lane?

Remember that ridiculous GOP campaign slogan of recent days, compassionate conservatism? Compassionate?? Hilarious! We don't seem to hear about that little misnomer anymore which makes a lot of sense considering what John Boehner and the goose-steppers are about to try in Congress next week because they'd rather focus on undermining a Democratic (and democratically elected) president than to move forward on behalf of all the American people, not just their rich contributors and global bosses!

*It's been a while since I mentioned the Vatican here and since you, dear reader, may be a new visitor, I shall repeat what I've always said since further blogging on the Vatican and the Illuminati within it may become necessary at any moment: all through my life some of the most compassionate, kind, and practically helpful people I have known have been of the Catholic persuasion (even while I felt they'd been hoodwinked by their church hierarchy - as have most people in organized religious denominations.)

So if and when I grump against the Vatican on this blog or another, I do and will not refer to ordinary members of the Catholic Church, but to those in the uppermost rungs of power in Vatican City, that bastion of the New World Order and stronghold of priestly pedophilia. jc

Astrology: Dueling Rallies in DC - Beck v Sharpton 8.28.10

If you've been in a cave lately you may have missed the news of two rallies being held in Washington DC tomorrow, August 28, one to mark the 47th anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr's I Have a Dream speech which was delivered at the Lincoln Memorial and which will be led by former civil rights activist Al Sharpton and the other led by erstwhile Obama opponents, FOX News and its prevailing mouthpiece, Glenn Beck.

Billed as a rally to honor our troops (who could use it), Beck's logic is somewhat turned on its head when one remembers Reverend King's opposition to the Vietnam War and America's tendency to use her less well-connected citizens to fight rich men's wars. For oddly enough, it's the FOX News-Beck rally being held at the Lincoln Memorial and Beck has claimed that he didn't at first realize the rally was scheduled for anniversary of MLK's famous speech - and in the exact same location at Lincoln's feet.

That Beck was unaware is difficult for me to fall for, how about you? But if true, perhaps a refresher course in US history may be in order for Mr. Beck and his colleagues who should have advised him. Methinks it more likely there's a skunk hiding in the woodpile!

Be that as it may, we know the ongoing Cardinal T-Square gives the same old difficult midpoint picture it's been giving the world of late between the two societal planets, Jupiter and Saturn, and manipulative string-puller Pluto in Capricorn. On the morrow, one is tempted to say that Pluto represents the powers-behind-the-FOX-News-rally, the Koch Brothers, who have funded much of the Tea Party's efforts in order to get people in the streets and undermine President Obama's term in the White House, to rally GOP voters - and to assure ballooning corporate profits for the Koch family.

That honest grasroots Tea Party members don't speak out about the whackiness of being funded by a massive corporation whose fortune has been made in several realms including petroleum and the manufacture of known carcinogenic, formaldehyde, is beyond me. Don't they feel their movement to be co-opted and secretly directed by those with quite a different agenda than taking back our government - co-opted by those who hide their faces and true motives?

Jupiter/Saturn = Pluto: transforming personal ideas about the future into today's reality; intense business activity; a total reversal of previously made plans; immense effort; toil; violent restrictions; separation. (All mdpt pics in this post from R. Ebertin; M. Munkasey.)

The point of meetings and encounters, the North Node (NN; 10Cap16) of the Moon (with the separative SN now in the midst of US natal planets in Cancer: will calls for Geithner's and Summers' firings lead to separation from the president?) nears its worrisome conjunction with tr Pluto on November 9, 2010 @ 3Cap36 - the Moon conjoins and possibly triggers them @ 3:13 pm est in DC; Pluto/NN = Moon: others arouse sensitive passions; uncertainties after meeting powerful people; the ups and downs of encounters taken to extremes)...but for Saturday's rallies, Pluto and NN remain approximately 7 degrees apart.

Well, it's after midnight so I shall close with a bit on the rallies' Sun Virgo-Moon Aries combo whose traits include...diligence; idealistic dedication; caustic wit; bossiness; committed; workaholic; skillful and pragmatic; a tendency toward scathing criticism; excessive verbosity; possessing a know-it-all attitude.

A 'rotund monk' (Beck?) and Sarah Palin, too? Well, 'kindly good humor' does sound lovely, doesn't it?

Yet this day of duelling rallies in DC should be quite interesting, emotionally manipulative in time for November elections, and full of agitation and exaggeration. And perhaps it's catty of me to say so, but I will be listening closely for Palin's erudite remarks in Latin.

That's an inventive verbosity I'd really like to hear.

Here are a few quotes about the 'new world order', if you're hankering for a brief bask in its deformed rays.

In his book *The Secret History of the West, Nicholas Hagger says that the term 'new world order' was first used in the modern media by Nelson Rockefeller on **July 26, 1968, when he asserted that he would "work toward international creation of 'a new world order.'"

(The term) 'was widely used following the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989' (Reagan.) 'President George Bush used the term several times before the Gulf War; for instance, "Out of these troubled times...a New World Order can emerge" ('Sept 11, 1991' as displayed in the video below ~ although this precise date is disputed, particularly as noted in this text of Bush Sr's speech to a Joint Session of Congress, Sept 11, 1990, not '1991'; notice in the text he refers to their "fifth objective, 'a new world order.'" jc.)

'And the term has been much-used following the terrorists attacks on New York's Twin Towers and Washington's Pentagon on September 11, 2001, and in association with President George W. Bush's ensuing war in Afghanistan. A new world arrangement is taking place.

The New World Order has frequently been associated with American world dominance and increasing powers of the UN. Essentially is is the creation of a world revolution to form a United States of the World. A world revolution cannot happen everywhere simultaneously; it is by its very nature piecemeal, involving component revolutions in specific local places, now here, not there.'

Hopefully, I am not quoting too much text from Mr. Hagger's book for my intention is to say that the more people reading his books, the better.

In Hagger's next paragraph he goes on to say that 'the immediate roots of the New World' is what he calls a "Syndicate of banking and governing families seeking to control the world's oil, in which the European Rothschilds and American Rockefellers were principal influences,' and that they have had 'a dynastic drive for a one-world regime ever since 1900. 'The drive has been linked with Templar Grand Orient Freemasonry.' (My caps.)

He then questions whether separate revolutions of the last 550 years are linked in some way, and offers the reader other intriguing posers. In his Introduction, Mr. Hagger states that, 'The roots of the New World Order can be found in the dismantling of the old Catholic Europe, and it is to the Reformation and its effects on the Elizabethan world that we must first look, a revolution that influenced Utopians for the next 550 years.' (Remember Rumsfeld's "that's old Europe" brou-ha-ha?)

We're bedeviled by Utopians! So. How 'utopian' does it feel to lose your job and watch your kids go without basic necessities? Now don't you think that if Congress cared a fig they would've avoided plopping us into this broiling stew to begin with? Government is the problem, all right, but not for the reasons government disingenuously cites.

Of course, I have more questions on the topic of the NWO and the chaotic messes the world has been mired in since the 'New Millennium' reared its Nostradamic head:

Are Pentagon-labelled "insurgents" of the Middle East, in their haphazardly violent way, fighting on the correct side of the resource-pillaging Syndicate because they are fighting its establishment as a one-world-government? Is The Octopus, the network of world crime families, actually as against me/my kith and kin (and you, dear reader) just as much as they are against those who stand in their oil-grabbing and plundering way in the Middle East and elsewhere?

Is installing a 'new world order' fair justification for invading Iraq and anywhere else the White House and Pentagon cast a raptor's eye upon? Are you enjoying the 'financial collapse of 2008' as a way of ushering in the economic chaos that is an integral part of the singular money system by which they will manipulate the world's trade, commerce, and basic needs such as food and water?

Are you ready for your day and manner of worship to be dictated to you?

If you haven't yet, read what another Rockefeller had to predict in 1991 about the New World Order, a famous quote that should curdle your bones. These bonesmen play for keeps, as both readers of this, and other blogs, know.

Martin Luther King Day: Monday, Jan 21, 2008

If you'll scroll just below to Jan 17, you'll find my just-published post on the assassination of Dr. King, April 4, 1968, 6:01 pm CST, Memphis, TN.

Click to enlarge the chart and you'll see a factor I neglected to mention in the text although it is marked on the chart...King's natal Nemesis 11Lib17 is rising at the moment of the attack. Nemesis' keywords: the unbeatable foe; overwhelming force.

Rev. King WAS the unbeatable foe to a dishonest, warmongering administration (see my conclusions below) and was treated with a tremendous countering force which ended his ministry--or so they thought.

Perhaps you've been hearing recently of the FBI's secret files on Coretta Scott King and how their surveillance and spying on MLK's widow actually intensified after his assassination was accomplished.

The moral of the story I'm getting here is that after Hoover's long-awaited death in 1972, the Bureau got better. Yet considering today's flap over their surveillance and harrassment of peace organisations who don't appreciate the Bush-Cheny war, I find that "moral" more than a little suspect. The White House was in the loop on the spying then and it would be daft to think it's out of the loop now.

For when it comes to tamping down criticism of yet another illegal, ill-advised war waged by the American government, who has the most to gain?

It is my belief that when it comes to America, the populist view IS the mainstream.

The fringes where reside the secret anarchists and assassins of the People's choice--and of anyone who speaks on behalf of the People and speaks up for the truth--there skulk the outsiders, the coup d'etat crowd who are the true subversives and radical reformers undermining our nation's infrastructures, social fabric, and freedoms.
