June 5, 2021: A 'Full Moon' phase for the Mars-Pluto Cycle

May 24, 2021 Monday: Previously we looked at a DC Horoscope of the May 26, 2021 Lunar Eclipse @5Sag25 (chart shown) and noted the soon-coming Mars-Pluto opposition - exact on June 5, 2021 (26Can27/26Cap27). Obviously, with transit Pluto within orb of US natal Pluto (27Cap33, in 1776 2nd house of our Sag rising charts = National Treasury, Values including Currency, and Possessions), this simultaneously spotlights a Mars opposition to US natal Pluto and this indicates potentials for: a contest of wills, attempts at manipulation, confronting hostile forces, interference in or disruption of the status quo, and/or efforts to gain control. However, Mars in Cancer can be moody, angry, impulsive, and exhibit a lack of perseverance so that sustained follow-through may be difficult. And as you know, the sign of Cancer is tribal, nationalistic, and patriotic but the patriotism may be only superficial.

Yet during periods influenced by Mars-Pluto, emotions run high, brutality remains a method intended to spark fear among the populace, issues of rape may be addressed, concerns over militarism are on the table, plus, forceful seizures and unscrupulous procedures continue to be used.

So for more information, a look back at the current Mars-Pluto cycle which began with their conjunction on March 23, 2020 @24Cap47 (exact at 1:20 am edt; ASC 15Sag40; MC 4Lib29 conjunct the former guy's natal Neptune at apex of a YOD with Mercury-Uranus as its base = nerve troubles; an irresponsible attitude; sloppy work habits), the 2nd house Mars-Pluto conjunction snugs between Jupiter 23Cap13 and Saturn 00AQ04 with karmic Saturn restricting America's Inaugural Sun of the former guy and occurring near the time our national quarantine began due to fears of Covid. (In government Jupiter-Saturn = checks-and-balances.)

So as we know, Saturnian accountability was demanded of that Sun in 2020 but you-know-who is very weak in the area of accepting responsibility for his actions with his natal Saturn in watery Cancer, sign of The Crab that scuttles sideways to avoid all confrontations. Hopefully, due to current criminal investigation, such options won't be available to his nibs for much longer although I've always thought of Herr Spanky as a major flight risk if there ever was one.

Anyway, a comparison of the Mars-Pluto conjunction horoscope (with Mars exalted and working efficiently in earthy Capricorn unlike Mr. Macho in watery Cancer) with that of the June 5, 2021 Mars-Pluto opposition horoscope shows much conflict, anger, fanaticism, and perhaps a suggestion of a police state (via the military). There's also a T-Square between Mars-Pluto square the Moon (25Ari02 in 7th house: mundane Moon = We The People) but the charts also show a determination toward diplomacy as 2021 Venus joins the 2020 North Node so let's support President Biden and his team all we can!

After all, on a diplomatic level, the Mars-Pluto opposition could very well represent Presidents Biden and Putin at the G-7 Summit in Geneva, Switzerland (June 15-16) with the White House and Kremlin pushing for a meeting between them if it can be arranged. If so, will their meeting be a 'hostile confrontation' or an oppositional culmination or fulfillment of some kind? Either way we'll soon find out, won't we?

Health Indicators, Eclipses, and the Modern Humanity Horoscope

In April 2015, the Horoscope of Modern Humanity was published here on SO'W as found in E. Alan Meece's book Horoscope for the New Millennium (1996). Based on the Total Solar Eclipse of April 26, 1892 in the 2 Old North Saros Series and on the Great Conjunction of Neptune and Pluto in early Gemini, one notable feature is that America's July 4, 1776 Sun @13Can19 conjoins the chart's Midheaven which suggests our nation's leadership and importance on the world stage during our current age. Yes, America's prominence may be passing, but there it is on the chart for all to see.

Of course, current progressions of the 1892 horoscope can reveal current conditions so I'll add a Secondary Progressed ('SP') Chart, below, with a few health indicators and an emphasis on the SP Ascendant (@23Cap40) where natal Mars rises, where the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction hit, and where the three Jupiter-Pluto Conjunctions of 2020 will meet (see bottom, right). A few other notes are scribbled upon the chart if you wish to enlarge for reading. For instance, there's a sesquisquare between Sun in Virgo, sign of health, and Jupiter Rx in Aries, suggesting 'illness through wrong nutrition' (Ebertin). Sesquisquares can work as health indicators (see bottom, left) along with semisquares. Yet the Sun-Jupiter duo when working together positively indicates 'regenerative functions of the blood' and 'the restoration of health' (Ebertin).

Themes of Modern Humanity's Prenatal Solar Eclipse: 2 Old North

Now the 2 Old North series contains difficult themes, among them 'unfortunate news about personal relationships, thoughts of separation, and/or the ending of a union. However, a quick grasp of what must be done and quick action can bring positive results' (Brady's Predictive Astrology). Perhaps you remember that a solar eclipse manifested in the 2 Old North series on July 13, 2018 @20Can41 (a repetition of Trump's Prenatal Solar Eclipse!) and was stimulated on January 10, 2020 by a Lunar Eclipse, also @20Cancer, a critical degree--and both conjoined Castor, a creative star but one with potentials for 'crippling of limbs, mental illness, sudden fame, loss, and/or murder' (A. Louis). As you know, a star's expression depends upon which planets the star conjoins and with an eclipse there (a 'wild card' of the Universe, aka, a 'cosmic blink'), unexpected results tend to occur in similar fashion to the electrical energies of erratic Uranus. Stars may actually 'work through' eclipses, in fact, and vice versa.

Perhaps mention should be made of US natal Sun conjunct Sirius, The Scorcher, aka, the Dog Star, supplying potentials for wealth, ambition, luck, pride, fame, honors, and occult interests. Understandably, dog bites may also be a 'gift' of Sirius.

Well, let's dare to look ahead a few months, for on July 5, 2020, a Capricorn Lunar Eclipse manifests upon the IC of the Modern Humanity Horoscope which suggests domestic concerns possibly with a security flavor, and/or revelations in the realms of US leadership and government.

And finally! This brings me to the point of this post: that the Horoscope of Modern Humanity's 4th house Mars @24Cap58 (spotlighted by a Lunar Eclipse @24Capricorn on July 16, 2019), is being activated by both transit Saturn and Pluto, fresh from their January 12, 2020 Conjunction (@22Cap46 conjunct Trump's natal Vertex) with the following possibilities: health or illness connotations and restraining conditions (ex: quarantine) of transit Saturn conjunct Mars, then transit Pluto conjunct Mars suggests aggressive or intense physical actions, karmic situations and opportunities, secret actions or motives, and/or research and development.

Plus, difficult potentials formed when the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction hit the 1892 Mars and I suspect their effects are still ringing in Modern Humanity's ears. So using midpoint pictures of Munkasey, Tyl, and Ebertin, here are a few of their potentials; any, all, or none may apply and are subject to transits and progressions:

2020 Saturn-Pluto = 1892 Mars: 'activating plans for much destruction or upheaval; energy to continue restraining activities which contaminate, adulterate, or otherwise poison (or infect? jc); a need to use whatever means or power are available to continue working; the necessity to fight for one's existence; maltreatment; ruthlessness; violence; fighting battles to keep life going; enormous undercurrent of frustration; a gun with a cork in its barrel'.

NRA Founded under Mars-Saturn-Pluto Vibes

Way back in 2012 when I published a few astro-notes concerning the NRA and the horoscope of its chartering (November 17, 1871 "noon," probably at Albany, NY), I mentioned the fact that Pluto (the assassin, saboteur, 'god' of Hades, manipulator, wealth-hoarder, spy, foreign agent, The Pope, the loner in the "ivory tower") was activating by transit a certain Mars-Saturn midpoint. Today I remind myself that Donald Trump was born with that exact midpoint picture in his natal chart and psyche: Mars-Saturn = Pluto: brutality; rage or fury of destruction; intervening of a higher power; bodily injury or harm (murder, death of many people) (Ebertin). Of course, in 2012, the safety of President Obama was on many minds for obvious reasons which don't need to be detailed here since racism in America continues to be used in Politics as a go-to wedge issue.

Of course, other astrologers have analyzed the NRA astrology chart as a quick duck duck go search will show such as an interesting discussion in a Skyscript forum which emphasizes the organization's compulsive, forceful, taking-power Mars-Pluto signature.

Another enlightening perspective was posted by astrologer Paul Saunders in 2014, an insightful analysis of the NRA's natal or founding chart focusing first on the organization's fanatic Mars-Saturn conjunction in Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business. And the thing is, a footnoted quote by Reinhold Ebertin in his The Combination of Stellar Influences may be instructive concerning the Mars-Saturn blend of energies which colors the NRA with its cosmic brush:

"One is inclined at times to consider Mars-Saturn as the 'death axis.' This combination is found in many cases at the time of death, but one should not make the mistake of taking it for granted that death will result. During the course of life this 'death axis' is very often stimulated by transits and directions, but life continues."

And so the 'life' of the death-cultish National Rifle Association continues as it turns 147 years old on November 17, 2018 with its Mars-Saturn fervor unabated although it remains to be seen whether Russian mob ties and funding scandals will take a significant toll on its reputation or its coffers. This particular Southerner (yes, with CSA ancestors) would think and hope that the Civil War could be laid to rest by now as the horrific ritual sacrifice and divide-and-conquer tragedy (manipulated by foreign bankers) it actually was.

Election Day 2016: an Unaspected Mars in Capricorn

Previously we discussed how Election Day 2016 is a day of a US Moon Return (mundane Moon = We the People) and mention was made of the fact that Election Day Mars is unaspected at a critical 29th degree (of governmental Capricorn). Of course, 29 Capricorn is just before 00 Aquarius, the degree of US Inaugural Sun (the leader) so the eagerness, vitality, and ego of an impatient Mars hurries toward the presidency.

But with no aspects to Mars, what's to be expected? Is anything expectable or predictable with an unaspected planet? Not really, but since it's a Big Day in America, let's investigate the condition of Mars on November 8, 2016...

Now stop me if you've heard this before, but an unaspected planet is unmodified by other planetary influences so that its sign becomes emphasized along with the house of the unaspected planet if it is the only planet posited in that house. Also the house ruled by the unaspected planet may also be emphasized and show where the planet's energies are operative or focused.

With Mars, planet of motivation, energy, and action with a tendency toward aggression, conflict, and activism, the me-first quality of the planet will be prominent. In a contest for the presidency this is no surprise but is made more evident by the Martian temperament of one of the 2016 candidates who was born with royal Regulus and testy Mars rising in Sun-ruled Leo (sign of the natural leader) in his natal chart. When you're as proud and self-important as Mr. Trump it must be all but impossible to ask God for forgiveness (Trump thinks he's never made a mistake or committed a sin, so why ask?) Now since Mars on a psychological level is already driven to separate and act apart from outside influences (for advice Mr. Trump consults his own brain, as you know), its unaspected condition on November 8, 2016 suggests Mr. Trump may express himself in an even more independent fashion than previously. And there's no telling what his Leonine ego will devise if he wins the Oval Office! Under girded by a natal Mercury-Neptune square, what he devises may often be off-the-mark because it's based on wrong or distorted perceptions.

Unaspected Mars acts in ways that are true to his feisty nature and in Capricorn, this must involve efficiency and directed efforts via Saturn's rule of Capricorn. Compulsion, unconscious motivations, and being in constant motion are possibilities as well, plus, we may note a stunning level of self-centeredness and an emphasized self-interest (though such personality traits have been noted before for Mr. T--any of his positive or negative traits will be greatly magnified if he wins the Top Job and can fire people on a whim--in fact, ruling on a whim is one of the better descriptions of what a Trump presidency would be like).

Of course, astrological Mars also signifies males between the ages of 25 and 35, give or take a year or so, and to soldiers, police officers, and villains, so the same traits may be applicable to any of them and to male voters on November 8th and to down-ticket candidates of the male persuasion.

So Mars' unaspected condition affects Election Day matters similar to how a singleton planet could and all the negative traits of Mars may be on display during election week including irrationality, a lack of control, forcefulness, and/or violence. In these, and in other ways, an unfettered Election Day 2016 Mars in Capricorn may brazenly 'run away' with the day's window-sill pie which may also be a hint about the hacking of and tampering with voting machines which is already a problem in Illinois and Arizona.

Mars '30Capricorn': "A Secret Business Conference"...Keyword: OPPORTUNITY...positive expression: a gift for clever planning and successful administration in every area of life (which Mr. Trump asserts that he has); negative/shadow side: rampant selfishness and rank exploitation of others. And for more information, let's look at the Illumination Point directly opposite which is '30Cancer': "A Daughter of the American Revolution"...pos: an infectious pride in leadership through which a group is able to act as a unite; neg: the ultimate betrayal of self hood by a false assumption of superiority (Jones).

Also note that this position of Election Day 2016 Mars denotes a Mars-to-natal-Pluto for America which is extended by our national Secondary Progressed (SP) Pluto @29Cap, a transit with karmic undertones and lots of intense energy. This transit may point toward the military, of course, but may also relate on some weird level to the number of voters who think a Trump presidency is meant to be or that it's time to elect non-professional politicians so why not Trump.

Actually, we had an experiment with how that sort of electing could turn out when Tea Partisans were elected to seats on Capitol Hill which to me was not impressive for the betterment of our nation and society--the government shut down was costly in dollars and Sequestration cuts (US Scorpio Rising chart shown) have been a mistake on several levels. You may disagree, but there it is.

James Madison's Mars in Capricorn & Continual Warfare

Ah yes, Mars exalted in Capricorn: ruled by cautious Saturn, this placement for fiery Mars gives its native an ability to focus energy in the most efficient manner possible, a constructive way of doing things, and much circumspection before action is taken by way of preconceived plans. Jimmy would never have rushed America into war, based on lies or otherwise. Mr. Madison not only knew better, he cared better for our nation. And you may as well know that I am unabashedly partial to former first lady Dolley Madison, too. She wasn't simply stylish in her day - she showed spunk under fire on behalf of America!
