US Solar Return 2023 Horoscope with Mars Rising

We the People in 2023 Are Not Helpless!

With violence signified by various expressions around the horoscope, below is the not-so-splendid Solar Return 2023 Horoscope for America which this year arrives on July 5, 2023. This particular version of a US Solar Return 2023 issues from America's July 4, 1776 Horoscope set for 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA - cuss'ed of me, I know, but I continue to appreciate the 1776 chart's MC-IC axis at Cardinal World Points of 00Aries-Libra - plus, problematic Neptune now approaches the significant Aries Point by transit, initially at the end of March 2025 into late January 2026 but Neptune's sign change to Aries will be felt earlier than 2025 by sensitive folk:

Obviously, with SR Sun in 11th house, Groups and Associations will be prominent focuses of leadership in 2023, and as you can see, there's a crisis-laden, crossroads-reaching YOD pattern in the chart with its base formed by the transiting Neptune-Pluto sextile (the Organized Crime/Global Underworld Criminal Networks of energies which include drugs and other forms of illegal trafficking, plus, the occult, mysticism, and in some cases, religion, possibly of a bizarre nature.

Considering the trio as a midpoint picture - and noting that the inconjuncts to Mars from Neptune and Pluto suggest health concerns, fanciful notions, and/or workaholism as well, we have SR Mars at apex which is made additionally significant by the fact that this position echoes Trump's natal Mars rising (26Leo46). Herr T's 2023 Mars Return perfects on July 4, 2023 at 11:59:45 pm est, and the Neptune-to-Mars inconjunct shows in his Mars Return 2023 as does an off-and-on square from radical Uranus in Taurus to his Mars, with the unstable, even perilous conditions such as this square implies.

And so in America's Solar Return 2023 Horoscope, multiple nuggets of information are penned on and around the chart for the curious reader, yet unfortunately, I'm compelled to note that the Return's prior Solar Eclipse in the 7 North Saros Series (deep passion; "blood" lust) is a repetition of the 'Fascism Rising Eclipse' of February 1933 @5Pis28 conjoined in 2023 by this Saturn Rx @6Pis57 = 'those with responsibility to carry out the thematic imperatives of 7 North. As you see, the Eclipse conjuncts the 8th cusp when US Solar Return 2023 is set for Washington DC, and, as noted in previous posts, qualifies as Adolf's Birthday Eclipse of April 20, 2023.

Astraea (Justice) at Midheaven: a Worthy Objective

Check out the Midheaven ('MC'; the goal) in the horoscope, above, for it holds midpoints: Mars-Saturn (bereavement; death - R. Ebertin) and the T-Square of Saturn-ASC = MC: a slow start with many restrictions; personal guarantees are kept and fulfilled (Munkasey). Are these Squeaker of the House Kevin McCarthy's promises to the far-reich whose votes he needed? Well, Kevin is one of the more visible tools active in the GOP's totalitarian to-do list to collapse and conquer our country. Additionally, the Sun-Chiron midpoint nestles at MC, too, which suggests a quest that reaches for social transformation.

Fascism's Favorite Political Tool: Violence

So! For a bit of historical context, a previous event timed by the 7 North 'Fascism Rising' Eclipse of 1933 is the Nazi Book Burning of May 10, 1933 (horoscope shown) with transit Mars in Virgo opposing the 7 North Eclipse ('tug-of-war'; physical intensity); also opposing the 1933 Eclipse is transit Neptune Rx @7Virgo suggesting deceit, lack of objectivity, and self-delusion (R. Lineman). Will Republicans reach the burning books stage after banning them? See Rawstory's report, DeSantis-backed book-banning panel is becoming a slow-moving 'trainswreck'.

So here we are again, folks.

For as you know, America's current gaggle of fascist and nazi enthusiasts are repeating certain behaviors and activities of Adolf's era such as book banning if not burning which mimick rituals similar to Civil War reenactments intended to keep the 'spirit' alive by keeping the public stirred up on behalf of violence and insurrection (as if these are "normal" behaviors - but they're not, they're psychotic). Those of us who refuse to join the Republicans' smash-and-grab movement against the US government should be fearful, so the GOP thinks.

However, there is another alternative: challenge all their tactics with the help of congressional Democrats and the Biden White House because congressional Republicans are deadbeats who intend to stiff the American people but continue paying Chinese banks, and this extortionary blackmail must be figured out by June 5th, last I heard. In fact, we hit the debt ceiling this very day, as reported by CNN. Hopefully, Democrats in the Senate along with the White House can stop the GOP recklessness with the economy, domestic and foreign. And if we look back at the 2011 downgrade of America's credit rating caused by the Republican Party in order to force their agenda upon us, we find another YOD of crisis in the GOP's Secondary Progressed Chart of July 29, 2011 which points toward the party's SP Ascendant @28Gemini, the degree of Bankruptcy. At the base of the YOD are Mercury-Jupiter, a pair that can indicate fraud. Plus, everyone knows that a lot of theft is made possible during chaotic times such as those of 2011 and 2023.

Yet We're Not Helpless in This Fight!

Because meanwhile, it is abundantly clear that a large majority of the American people reject the establishment of fascist or nazi government in America because for one thing, America is Not Germany, Russia, or Hungary! So if there truly is safety in numbers, it helps to remember that A Fascist Plot in America Has Failed Before and will do so again despite the increase of violent tactics by the far-right and other mentally unstable, delusional,gaslit folk intended to cow the American people, make Herr T proud, and seed a sense of inevitability concerning the far-right's thuggish, underhanded, deceitful machinations for the sake of grabbing power, control - and the mega-bucks that come with them.

And so I beseech you, dear reader, whatever you and yours can do to promote democracy in America, the time is now!

Warnock-Walker Debate set for October 14, 2022

A while back we discussed on SO'W the natal planets of Senator Raphael Warnock as he and Jon Ossof ran for office in Georgia. Now it's 2022, the campaigns for the 2022 Midterms have heated up and there's been an announcement concerning Senator Warnnock's campaign: that scheduled for October 14, 2022 is a debate between the Democratic Senator and Republican candidate Herschel Walker who was quite the football star years ago when I lived in my hometown of Athens, Georgia home of the University of Georgia. On October 14th, the Moon will be in Mercurial Gemini with Luna's sign describing the public mood so Gemini can be a live-wire, chatty Moon with good news or can be duplicitous, vacillating, or, of-two-minds.

With Their Wide Intellectual Gap Will a Floor Be Mopped?

Sadly for the US election process, Walker's know-nothing condition (with his gaffes, uninformed opinions, etc) seems to have improved little if any through the years, and in fact, may have grown worse, political classes and telepromptors notwithstanding. But it should be considered that Mr. Walker has been said to suffer from Dissociative Identity Disorder and has been known to tell a lie or two, plus expressing other untoward behavior. Afraid of the dark, he says, he prevaricates to deal with fear, an escapist tactic, and with natal planets in Pisces, including his Sun-Chiron conjunction, a mentor is a must for Walker. He has stated that Donald Trump is his mentor (Trump was owner of the New Jersey team that Walker had played for, among others) so we know where we stand on that score.

As for cosmic factors, there are Two Karmic Eclipses Affecting 2022 Midterms, one a Taurus Lunar Eclipse conjunct Uranus on the day of the 2022 Midterms. The October 25th Solar Eclipse therein falls within the 7 North Saros Series which happens to be the Prenatal Solar Eclipse Series in which Raphael Warnock was born. Now as you know, all eclipses are Uranian and can disrupt events on Earth and uncover hidden secrets. Leakage is also a potential.

Yet eclipses can also shine a cosmic spotlight upon those they favor, so my hope is that Senator Warnock will benefit from the repetition of his very own Solar Eclipse prior to the Midterm Elections, because if so, democracy in America will also benefit.

May 23, 2021: A few Astro-Notes concerning the indespensible Thomas Paine

While some confusion has existed over the correct birthdate (OS vs NS) and hour for Revolutionary author and Founder Thomas Paine, for my purposes I tend to use his January 29, 1737 11:30 am GMT Thetford, England chart with Ascendant 3Gemini48 rising along with karmic planet of restriction and authority, Saturn Rx 4Gem48. Of course, that's Mercury-ruled Gemini, sign of The Writer, Messenger, Communicator, and Orator (who used to read his works aloud to the public). Of interest is that an earlier version of my SolarFire software gave 2Gem46 which rounded up = "3 Gemini": "A Garden of the Tuilleries" which resonates with Paine's French Revolution involvement and his imprisonment in France.

Meanwhile, perhaps you, dear reader, are familiar with an old SO'W post of April 30, 2006 concerning Mr. Paine and a curious double transit in May 2006 to both his natal Sun and Chiron: Sun to Chiron and Chiron to Sun, a doubly emphasized, simultaneously occurring 'cosmic link' cross the centuries suggesting hints about The Chirotic Quest of Thomas Paine and perhaps activating his spiritual and/or ideological descendants. As you know, a conjunction of Sun and Chiron has to do with self-transformation but one doesn't have to be conscious of it for this to occur - which is a good thing since Mr. Paine definitely was unconscious at his eternal rest in 2006. Yet in life, idealism was prominent via his inspirational Neptune in Mercury-ruled Gemini posited in the 2nd house of Values (money was something of an issue; he's known for donating all profits from his writings to The Cause of liberty and independence, assuming that Congress would pay him later for his efforts but we know how that turned out).

As for the double transits of 2006, it's doubtful that such a noble quest by a Founding Father who promoted the era's noble Enlightenment principles (his Uranus-Neptune opposition!) could have been fulfilled from beyond the grave under the auspices of warmongering profiteers such as Bush-and-Cheney in 2006. For tragically, as you know, any noble course America once promoted, even honored, was cruelly diverted toward 'the dark side' decades ago, not to mention our nation's original stain of slavery from 1619 onward.

Meanwhile, for your consideration below is a bi-wheel of Thomas Paine's natal chart, center, with an outer horoscope of that very event, set for "just before daybreak" on September 25, 1819 New Rochelle, NY (source: Thomas Paine, by Craig Nelson, 2006), the reputed date and approximate time (using 5:00 am LMT) that Mr. Corbett, his son, and a hired hand, dug up the 'disrespected' remains of one of America's Founding Fathers, Tom Paine, who was denied burial in the Quaker cemetery due to his deism (and criticisms of his former colleagues) which had made him extremely unpopular in America (curiously, his natal Sun at "10AQ" = "A Popularity That Proves Ephemeral" - Jones):

Of course, it's possible that the unholy deed was begun earlier or later than the speculative hour of 5:00 am LMT shown here, but a change won't affect the fact that the 1819 South Node of the Moon @11Lib12 (in his natal 6th house), a Saturnian point of separation, sat squarely upon Paine's Prenatal Solar Eclipse (11Lib42) degree in the 9 New North Saros Series with its themes of 'great physical effort, and a potential for 'violence' (Brady's Predictive Astrology #ad) which suggests the hired hand's toil that morning. Digging a grave whether empty or inhabited involves great physical effort along with the upheaval of disruptive Uranus (20Sag47) at the 5:00 am IC (Ending; Roots) so this also describes the desecrating, even shocking, event as an 'uprooting' took place.

Plus, the 1819 Moon (11Sag41) of physical body was hiding mysteries of her own in the darker light of her Crescent phase (70:12) after floating beyond her opposition to Paine's natal Saturn rising (note that Paine's reputation and authority had suffered in England, too). Meanwhile, transit Jupiter Rx @7AQ28 was in process of conjoining Paine's natal Aquarian Sun (someone famous got 'carried away'!) while a triple line-up of planets all @27Pisces ("A Harvest Moon" - that's some 'harvesting', Mr. Cobbett) had moved beyond Tom's natal Venus-South-Node conjunction (separation from females; isolation) and are opposed by 1819 Venus @27vir40, venal planet of jealousy, envy, and vanity.

Additionally, Tom's natal North Node of meetings and destiny was rising at 5:00 am, and the Sun @1Lib28 was conjunct Nemesis (the unbeatable foe). Well, Cobbett was certainly that, for Old Tom had had no say in the matter of his relocation whatsoever. At least Mr. Cobbett eventually thought better of his controversial actions on that morning and he did stop his criticism of Mr. Paine at some point. Still, that's a mighty harsh, cruel Saturn-Pluto duo surrounding wounded Chiron there, isn't it? And all in Pisces, sign of the victim - and with 1819 Neptune, planet of erosion, undermining, mourning, and loss, conjunct what may just be Tom Paine's natal 8th cusp of Death and the Occult. To me it seems that Mr. Cobbett probably had some measure of exploitation in mind.

Then a wider view reveals that 1819 Neptune in Sagittarius was opposing Tom's natal Neptune in Gemini (sign of the pampheteer) which denotes that, yes, Thomas Paine was a victim of persecution during his lifetime and even, as we witness here via the lens of Astrology, in death.

Now naturally, several other chart factors are noteworthy so I shall trust you, dear reader, to locate them if you're curious.

In closing, here are details concerning the life and career of William Cobbett (b. March 9, 1763 Farnham, Surrey; d. June 18, 1835 Normandy, Surrey) provided by his Wikipedia bio page where you'll find that Cobbett's last years unfortunately were marked by a case of paranoia.

The Horoscope on Washington DC's Einstein Statue

His Jupiterian Sun Pisces-Moon Sagittarius personality blend identifies him as a philosopher and "a nature mystic with inner vision" (Harveys) which you may agree describes him very well. Rising is 11Can38 with goddess star SIRIUS (@12:25 in 1879) which makes the Moon his chart-ruler, and as such, Luna makes only one applying aspect in his birth chart: a trine with Venus (2A27) in Aries which accounts for some of Einstein's attractiveness to women, his harmonious, friendly personality (except possibly to his long-suffering wife and children--Albert really should've behaved much better there), and his popularity and talent for public relations.

Yet this post isn't about Albert, the genius, it's about one of Washington DC's most interesting horoscopes upon the statue of Albert Einstein at the corner of 22nd Street and Constitution Avenue outside the *National Academy of Sciences building which has him in bronze and sitting with his foot resting on the Bootes constellation shown in a Zodiac full of stars, planets, asteroids, and quasars. Some attempt will be made herein to make sense of this cosmic horoscope set for the moment of the monument's dedication ceremony at noon, an astrologically elected hour, on April 22, 1979. The statue was created by the famous sculptor Robert Berks (1922--2011) who came up with glyphs for the quasars since there were few or none in the olden days of 1979. Actually, Einstein's resting foot reminds me of constellation Orion's royal star Rigel (Orion's left toe) with pinioned birds underfoot which represent subjects under the pharoah's protection and to whom Orion brings civilization and education (Brady's Fixed Stars). Unfortunately for the world, the work of Einstein helped provide us with civilization-destroying atomic energy which shows how satanic actors tend to pervert what could have been positive knowledge into something extremely negative--the abomination of desolation, thanks to death-worshipers. Of course, you're familiar with Einstein's letter to FDR dated August 2, 1939 warning of the Third Reich's development of the atomic bomb, a letter which subsequently spurred the US into developing a bomb of its own instead of stopping such devilish work as Einstein had hoped. If only! But I digress only slightly for here is the Einstein Statue's Horoscope for your consideration--your on-topic comments are welcome:

Note: on the topic of Sun-Chiron Quests and America perhaps you remember the curious synchronicity which occurred in April 2006 when transit Chiron conjoined the natal Sun of Thomas Paine just as transit Sun conjoined his natal Chiron! Spotlighted are the Fixed signs of Taurus and Aquarius; a bi-wheel of the horoscopes is shown for the curious.

Now as you see, the 1979 chart shows Chiron @8Tau53--and Einstein's natal Chiron in 11th house is @5Tau32 conjunct his Neptune (7Tau52) suggesting a Seeker on a Quest who unconsciously expresses powerful psychic and emotional energies as a vehicle for self-transformation (Nolle)--mystical! Also his Chiron trines electrical Uranus (@1Vir17 Rx in 3rd house) which helped him excite public attention but may also figure in on some very deep level to uranium and its role in the regrettable development of the atomic bomb. So we see that in 1979, Einstein was in process of a Chiron Return which would have activated both his natal aspects. Actually transit Chiron returned five times to his natal Chiron degree on: July 17, 1977, August 31, 1977 (Rx), April 29, 1978, December 13, 1978 (Rx), and February 16, 1979--just prior to the dedication of this statue. (And as you know, 1977 is the Discovery Year of Chiron @3Tau07.)

Now here is a list of the Horoscope's featured constellations and their major stars which Robert Berks immortalized on his Einstein Centennial Monument in Washington DC (my apology for not listing the quasars--they're fascinating but I have yet to use them in horoscopes):

Sirius (Canis Major), Procyon (Canus Minor), Betelgeuse and Rigel (Orion), Pollux (Gemini), Aldebaran (Taurus), Capella (Auriga), Deneb (Cygnus), Wega/Vega (Lyra), Fomalhaut (Piscis Austrinus). Other constellations represented are Draco the Dragon and Hercules.

As for constellation Bootes (the hunter and herdsman turned farmer, and a son of Zeus), its Alpha star is bright Arcturus, the pathfinder who teaches and shows the way forward. The fact that Einstein's foot is 'stepping out' resonates in the sense of one who leads the world into new ideas and ways of thinking which he certainly did. In fact, the 'papers' on his lap display in bronze his most famous formula, e = mc2. And yes, we've met Arcturus multiple times in SO'W posts as the Federal Triangle's cosmic representative for the White House...for even mystical Albert knew that, As Above, So Below !

Further Castings Have Occurred!

Two additional versions of sculptor Robert Berks' Einstein Statue exist. A 12-foot version was cast to celebrate the New Millennium, resides at the Israel Academy of Science and Humanities in Jerusalem, and was dedicated in December 1999. The 'star chart' under Einstein's feet commemorate their precise positions at the founding of the State of Israel (horoscope shown). Note that Israel's natal Sun in Taurus conjoins Einstein's natal Pluto and both receive the New Moon @24Tau36 on May 15, 2018 which also happens to conjunct the natal Midheaven and Phaethon of Donald Trump...Israel's 70-year fig tree prophecy is involved. Also note that in the 1979 horoscope shown above, Trump's natal Pluto @10Leo02 chillingly rises--and 1979 Pluto @17Lib26 Rx conjoins his natal Jupiter (17Lib27) which was Station Direct at his birth on June 14, 1946.

Another 12-foot statue was cast in 2002, loaned to the American Museum of Natural History for their comprehensive, year-long Einstein exhibition, and later purchased for display on the campus of Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia with the monument's 'star chart' set for the night sky of December 10, 1948, the date of the signing of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights which is intended to be a vision for the future. *Founded on March 3, 1863, the National Academy of Sciences describes itself as "a private, non-profit society of distinguished scholars" and its website announces the 155th Annual Meeting to be held Saturday April 28 through Tuesday May 1, 2018. During the Wilson administration, the NAS's mission was expanded to serve the US government in such matters as military preparedness and to provide advice to the government "whenever called upon" for which no compensation from the government is received.

Now let's let a genius add some brief yet very good advice:

Oct 16 2017: Stars Over Washington is 12 years old!

October 16, 2017: Stars Over Washington turns 12 today as its page view count nears two million. As you know, 12 is the age of accountability on the religious plane though this truism may not apply to a Political Astrology blog suffused with its Flower Power author's common good and peacenik sensibilities.

Of course for astrologers, 12 years brings to mind planet Jupiter so naturally I set up SO'W's Jupiter Return horoscope and found that it perfected on September 30, 2017. However, SO'W has never been about money and yours truly, a D.A.R. candidate, has never been on anyone's payroll, political or otherwise, for I'm an equal-opportunity critic of government! Writing this blog of dissent for the sake of America is the very least I can do for my ancestors who sacrificed, fought, and died for this country.

As always, readers are welcome to disagree with my political views but I'm typing them anyway--usually by using the excellent lens of Astrology to peek at the dark creatures who meddle with our lives as if they have the right!

So never mind Jupiter--today let's consider a few factors in the Solar Return 2017 chart of SO'W instead.

Natal and Solar Return (SR) chart-rulers are the same with Leo rising: the Sun in Libra. Both charts show Sun applying to conjoin jolly Jupiter, one of the societal planets (along with Saturn) that can also represent politicians as well as financiers, donors, corporatists, and gurus of various stripes. As chart-ruler of the SR 2017 chart, the Sun applies to three aspects which denote how things will proceed for the upcoming year (until Oct 16, 2018):

1. Sun sextile Saturn (0A13): a time when those in authority--even government!!--can or do offer advice or aid toward success or at least the opportunity (sextile) to achieve it. Yes, SO'W has been contacted by certain politicians over the years but it's confidential and involves no obvious aid that I can tell!

2. Sun opposite Uranus (3A37): unusual or unexpected actions may be taken and/or SO'W may go off in a new direction. There's really no way to tell with quirky Uranus, planet associated with radical politics and Utopians, and with Astrology and Technology.

3. Sun conjunct Jupiter (8A11): courage and optimism increase along with an expansion of knowledge--which is odd since I can hardly keep up with my book, article, and newsletter reading as it is! Plus, if this were transit Jupiter to natal Sun, indications would suggest that a project begun 12 years ago will end or will be raised to a higher level. Well, I did seriously consider ending SO'W last week but instead renewed its domain for another year--if only because 12 is an even number and 11 isn't!

The last chart factor I want to mention today is the Sun-Chiron pair which denotes one's Quest in life. In the natal horoscope of SO'W, Sun squares Chiron denoting that my Quest in setting up and writing SO'W concerned issues of socio-cultural authority (how true--the Bush-Cheney regime was on my last nerve by October 2005).

Now in the SR 2017 chart, Sun inconjuncts Chiron suggesting that for the next year, SO'W's Quest concerns health, education, and welfare (Nolle), three of the areas now under attack by the GOP, corporate Democrats, and their totem moron, Donald Trump, the insulter-in-chief.

Now if these crippling attacks that harm 99% of the American people don't stretch my nerves to a breaking point and inspire my continued dissent, I'm not certain what ever could.

Sun 2 Chiron + Chiron 2 Sun: Thomas Paine

On Saturday, May 13, a rather curious double transit transpires involving the natal chart of Thomas Paine: tr Sun to Chiron just when tr Chiron conjuncts natal Sun!

Amazingly, transit Sun 22Tau52 = natal Chiron 22Tau52, and tr Chiron 9AQ46 = natal Sun 9Aq43, 10th house of public reputation/honor (the wider world) while Sun to Chiron is in the behind-the-scenes 12th house of karma--where secret deals are made.

First we may wish to consider the significance of the Sun/Chiron combination:

Chiron connecting to any planet "Chiroticizes" it and pushes or forces the planet's energies to new levels of awareness of its destiny. The Sun is related to destiny and purpose, so this particular connection is very important in any chart.

The situation is quincunxial in nature: that is, it signifies a special life purpose which involves what is usually an impossible adjustment which must be made--the "square peg in the round hole" feeling with back-against-the-wall issues which are crisis-ridden and often dire.

And since America is in dire straits in so many ways, this double emphasis occurring in one of our Founding Fathers' charts may be instructive concerning our circumstances, I'm thinkin'. Let's see if that is so...

As Chiron relates to the synchronicity principle as an acausal state (it cannot be explained on the physical level) we'll check out the Sabian Symbols for the various affected degrees, and we'll note that natal Chiron is, in fact, spot-on the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction of May 28, 2000. This indicates that something about this double transit relates to that time and to the Jup-Sat cycle in general (now squaring off again--crisis stage), for be-here-now Chiron indicates an intersection of past with future...

And so Chiron transits point out when the archetypal nature of an experience can suddenly reveal itself. There is frequently an AHA! reaction--a peak experience described by the contact of Chiron to a natal planet with accompanying insights pertaining to the unfolding of a life-changing event--even "unfinished business from the past"!

Now I know Tom Paine died lonely and discredited because of his religious views (Age of Reason), but I think we in 2006 can forgive him that esp when you consider his invaluable work on behalf of American independence and his uplifting of the common good. And it is the common good which is in such short supply as the US military industrial complex continues its insidious coup of our formerly free nation and of our government.

The cycle of Chiron also relates to woundings, awakenings, and realizations of how our life commitments seek to manifest in the outer world--and with Old Tom being long-gone, it seems it is up to us to carry on his work on America's behalf. His wounds--which are also gifts--are on display, thanks to astrology.

Particularly, the contact of Chiron to Sun shows where there is a strong sense of destiny unfolding, and it seems obvious to me, if I have explained myself with any amount of clarity or tact here--that this relates to our nation this Very Day.

Using both the 9/10 AQ and the 22/23 Taurus degrees in the Jones version (MEJ), and in the Rudhyar (DR), with one interpretation amplifying the other:

(MEJ) Chiron-Sun "9AQ": "A flag turned into an eagle that crows"> DRAMATIZATION...
The loyalties of human beings are the foundation of any possible society, and any individual prospers as he springs to action in their defense.

Pos: accomplishment through utter self-dedication; Neg: vindictive pride.

(DR) "9AQ": Keynote> The dynamic incorporation of new social values in individuals who exemplify the spiritual potential and greatest significance of these values.

All that is Implied here is the vitalization of a powerful symbol, and its embodiment in a living reality, i.e. in a person able to fly in consciousness to the highest spiritual realm. The archetype is given a living substance and wings. The Image has become Power.

To "see" the new archetype, to perceive the new standard of value with one's mind is not enough. The seer must become the doer. The impersonal is dynamized and brought into focus. We have here the ACTING OUT of the vision. >><<

(MEJ) "10AQ": "A popularity that proves ephemeral"> ...the swing of the pendulum between an endorsement and a repudiation of (an individual's) efforts by his social group....A courageous self-confidence and an unflagging faith are worthy of recognition, but only in their moment of significance. Pos: a gift for bringing the issues of life to a dramatic consummation at a time of crisis; Neg: prodigal opportunism.

(DR) "10AQ": "A man who had for a time become the embodiment of a popular ideal is made to realize that as a person he is not this ideal"> Keynote: The need to deal with human beings as persons rather than as screens upon which one projects one's dream and ideal.

...the relationship between *mental-spiritual vision and living reality, between persons and the ideal they appear to incarnate. The "Star" on the movie screen is not the actual person. What has this episode of popularity actually done to the person? It is Person vs Archetype...a critical need for SELF-EVALUATION.<<>>

Pos: a skillful reconciliation of difficulties in the light of over-all potentials;
Neg: an ineffectiveness of mind through habitual woolgathering.

DR: "22Tau": Keynote: The spiritual inspiration that comes to the individual in the overcoming of crisis. (Remember Paine's The Crisis--a series of articles written during the Revolution...from 1776-1783.)

This Symbol refers to the rhythm of a cosmic, God-ordained cycle that reveals a need to face crisis in the right spirit--in complete obedience to God's promptings--in
order to receive a new Dispensation.

Pos: a happy gift for shaping all vision to larger dimensions and directing all aspiration to more than trivial ends; Neg: a greediness which betrays the soul with trifles.

With this Symbol we are concerned with the social process which brings about a CERTIFICATION OF PERSONAL WORTH.<<>>

Well, just as Chiron travels between the inner (Saturn) and the outer (Uranus) realms and unites them, so birds travel between earth and heaven as they migrate across the skies.

And synchronistically enough, Saturday also happens to be International Migratory Bird Day!

With Thomas Paine's past loss of the public's good will due to his promotion of reason above spirit, is it time to re-evaluate the still-dripping wound caused by the Reason vs Religion Split from which mankind still suffers?

Is it possible this Split is a false argument? Shouldn't one support the other if rightly understood?

Many people believe this wound is the basis of our current ills (along with greed and avarice, of course...let's not forget Washington's favorite past times...and that of a few other people you and I could name.)

There is also tr Pluto (power) opposing natal Neptune (ideals; dreams) which indicates ruling powers being challenged by those who hold conflicting ideals. So if you haven't noticed that neocon war hawks are in process of undermining America's original ideals...hello? Anybody there?!

And if you consider Saturday's double transits of Sun to Chiron/Chiron to Sun for our Tom, it could be realization time that to reach higher realms is a possibility for those who make the honest effort and open themselves to the spiritual energies which are all around us like doves over troubled waters.
