Are you ready for this Friday's New Moon? Today we are in the Balsamic phase between Sun and Moon, the 'Dark of the Moon' when secrets skulk in the shadows and things go bump in the you-know-what. Will more hidden information slink out of the shadows in campaign ads for President Obama and VP Biden and/or Mitt Romney and his VP pick, Paul Ryan? Yes, the whining is really underway and isn't it typical that bullies whine the loudest when the tables are turned on them?

Well, in Political Astrology, we may say that the August 17, 2012 New Moon @25Leo opposes US natal Moon in Aquarius (we-the-people) so there are potentials for relationship stand-offs and/or a sense of awareness for our week's end in America, plus a new cycle beginning--'seeds planted'--which New Moons always time and which culminate in a Full Moon two weeks later--this time on August 31, 2012 @8Pis34 (9:58 am edt.) This Full Moon and its degree concern me for it triggers America's natal Ceres (and our corn and other crops are already dried up from drought) which conjoins the US natal Pluto/Chiron midpoint of Plutocracy, oppression, disenfranchisement, primal violence, and all the nasty -isms that intend to do harm to the masses while lifting up wealthy powermongers.

You'll note that the August 31 Full Moon manifests one day after RNC 2012 in Tampa, Florida closes (Aug 27--30), which this astrologer considers close enough to be a 'cosmic bookend' or culmination to the 2012 Republican Convention.

Or, since we're talking about the Moon which rules Water sign Cancer, perhaps at or around the New Moon it will begin to rain! Plus, in his The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac, Adriano Carelli has a word picture for 25Leo:

"A man swimming in the waters of the sea." Let's both be alert to something mentioned in the news of that nature over the next day or so.

You may not think now that you or a loved one needs Food Stamps but don't be too certain of the future with more Republican policies of austerity and 'trickle-down' economics creating increased numbers of poorer Americans with each passing day.

And it seems that the GOP has no problem sending more and more American children to bed hungry. Ever tried it? It's difficult if not impossible to go to sleep when you're hungry, not to mention what such lack of nutrients does to childhood brain development.

Astrology reveals heavy-handed control of our food supply

Governmental control of Food Stamps--and the power that it gives them--can be described by the midpoint/asteroid picture we discussed a few days ago concerning the natal horoscope of America, July 4, 1776:

In Greek mythology, Ceres corresponds to Demeter, both fertile goddesses of The Harvest but in America circa 2011, some believe that The Harvest is meant only for the 1%--let the 99% scrounge for themselves for shareholders must have the largest dividends possible.

Sounds loftily humanitarian until you take it as an instruction for how to enslave the masses as is being done now.

After Citizens United, & Solar Eclipses 1993 = 2011

Perhaps you've seen the brilliant photo of the March 19, 2011 SuperMoon in Virgo rising above DC's Lincoln Memorial now posted on a new blog After Citizens United.

(Astro-Note: constellation Virgo and its stars have particular significance for the founding of America including the related archetype for nurturing asteroid Ceres ('security concerns') which in America's natal chart, conjoins our natal Pluto/Chiron midpoint @ '8Pis'...and Pluto/Chiron = Plutocracy and its attendant class warfare and disenfranchisement.)

My feeling is that these birty dastards have a huge jump on the citizens of the US so pass around all pertinent info you can find! Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Libya

Now some are saying that President Obama didn't have the authority to act in Libya as we're doing under cover of a 'humanitarian mission' to protect civilians (there we go again: bombing = 'saving'. Yeah, right.) Presidential overreach and the military action in Libya are facets of the global elite's Undermine America Agenda in order to set up a one-world-government and we're watching the US government further extending its imperial self into the region of the Middle East. It remains to be seen whether our incursion into Libya can be handed off to foreign entities in a few days.

Of SuperMoons and Eclipses 1993 - 2011

The last SuperMoon occurred in March 1993 which is of time-link interest since the two Solar Eclipses (SE) of 1993 are repeating in 2011 with similar influences upon society.

May 21, 1993's SE @ '1 Gemini' is in the 13 South Series as will be the June 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse @ '11 Gemini', a degree which falls between US natal Uranus 8:55 and US natal Desc '13Gem'...Uranus/ASC = Sun: friendships with leaders and important people; physical unrest; mobility; a restless colleague or partner; anxiety about putting one's best foot forward; hoping for success. Uran/ASC = Moon: getting excited through the influence of others; quick mood changes; emotionalism spills into view; needing support, sympathy, and approval (speaking of 'approval', Obama should've gotten that from Congress before he took us into Libya in what may be an extended piece of Hades - UN approval is not congressional approval - for a little while longer at least.)

From Brady's Predictive Astrology we find that the influences of 13S include: expansive energy under which lies a sinister flavor; striving for group endeavors, either positively or negatively; urge to expand brings frustrations, inhibitions, and loss or separation. And for Australia in 1975, 13S included a Constitutional Crisis (which may be brought to the White House circa 2011 due to Libya invasion or ___?___.)

The second Solar Eclipse of (November 13) 1993 @'22Sco' which repeats on November 25, 2011 @ '2Sag' is in the 14 North Series with vibes that include: draining of energy; an acute time of confusion in relationships, and unexpected happenings in financial matters; despair; a peculiar turn of events; too much confusion and delusion to make clear judgments (paraphrasing Brady, as above.)

In her book Eclipses, Celeste Teal titles the '11Gem' Jun 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse, "Something to Cry About" (though that's usually reserved for '00Gem' because it conjoins Fixed Star Alcyone, of the Seven Sisters.) Teal's title for the 14N SE of Nov 25, 2011 is: "Blazing New Trails" - yet workers will still be discontent, there are concerns over secret enemies, and there's an "extension of power of nation in the world, although some complications to overcome." Is Libya only the US government's first 'no-fly-zone' justification?

Well, on that New World Order note I must leave you for my pesky old day job and a sincere hope that we'll reconnect another day while remembering what Herbert Hoover said on such topics: that old men make wars and young men fight them. How correct he was.

Thinking of Tucson as Left Blames Right, Right Blames Left

On C-SPAN just now, neoconner Bill Kristol just asked if Palin isn't responsible for the violence in Tucson on Saturday (better her blamed than him, I guess.) Now he's defending George Bush and the 'attacks' on Bush while he was president for "consciously" lying and getting people killed (in his wars - his, Cheney's, and Kristol's.) As if the whole thing weren't planned all along with ginned up intell and propaganda doing the trick to lie us into war again. One has to assume that war planners have to know that soldiers sent to fight will be maimed and killed.

Kristol is accepting questions now and he's certain to have some interesting views on such topics. He just compared Paul Krugman (who criticized Sarah Palin over Tucson which is what Kristol just did but more mildly) to Joseph McCarthy! The old McCarthyism propaganda!! Pardon me, I need another cup of tea just to listen to this dribble, with several inches of snow and ice outside and still falling which makes a cuppa a double necessity.

Makes me wonder who thought Bill Kristol was an appropriate guest for C-SPAN this morning on the topic of political hate speech leading to violence, no less. Perhaps at Kristol's level of power, he decided to do the show to fend off criticism of his father's neocon movement.

After the 11:00 am Moment of Silence at the White House and Capitol Building a few minutes ago, it seems of interest to me to provide you with a link to a post on the Tax Day Tea Party of April 15, 2009, the "New American Revolution" as bull's-eye-loving Dick Armey, Sarah Palin, and others so raucously term it.

After Saturday's shootings in Tucson, this particular peacenik's prayer is that the revolution hasn't begun violently - the pen really is mightier than the sword. Yet the revolutionary Uranus/Pluto square is approaching, after all in action-loving Cardinal signs (issuing from the Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Pluto in the mid-1960s @ '17Virgo', a critical/crisis degree, and a violent time in America - of anti-war protests, Civil Rights protests, and political assassinations by higher powers. Yes, it seems an obvious and honorable thing to have a brief ceremony in Washington today in honor of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims yet I have to say it: seeing President Obama and the First Lady standing there in silence, heads lowered, cameras clicking away, looked and felt more like a photo op than anything else. Sorry. My big mouth.

And it remains to be seen how Saturday's tragedy in Tucson will lead to more security tightening in America when, imho, it's gun control laws that concern guns purchased with no background checks and guns with repeating rounds - pardon, but I don't know what they're called) that need improving along with the US government coming clean about its role in shoving the backs of the American people against the wall from where they know we'll eventually explode.

(The gun Loughner used in Tucson was purchased with an "instant background check", not that anything criminal would have shown up on him which points to our pathetic mental health system letting society down, another of my soap boxes of grumpiness.)

The GOP take-over or funding of certain Tea Party groups has shown how this dynamic can be ramped up while pretending to care about better governing. (I don't refer to Tea Party rank and file members - I mean manipulators like Mr. Koch, Mr. Armey, Mr. Beck, Mrs. Palin, and who knows who else.)

Perhaps you remember that Congress went into secret session in March 2008 to discuss their security needs and where they'd all hunker down when the depth of the financial crisis became clear which it did a few months later. (And they're acting similarly this week to discuss their own security concerns! Seems a given to me that "why do they hate us?" will be purposely misinterpreted after Tucson just as it was after 9/11/01 - in order to bolster the creation of a police state in America.)

The secret session was the meeting where all members' phones had to be surrendered at the door, and any details of the meeting's occurrence came to the public through Rep. Ron Paul who did not attend (congressional sessions are supposed to be public, not private. He said he'd attended such a meeting during his earlier days in Congress; the time of the chart you see below is from his remarks.)

Now perhaps you think Congress' rare closed-door session in 2008 can have nothing to do with our current tragedy and the steps our government will be taking in order to protect congressional members, staff, and other officials from public wrath as the US gov continues implementing globalist draconian policies meant to collapse this nation and our lives with it.

But I think it does.

If for no other reason than what Franklin Roosevelt so famously informed us: "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

Perhaps he did - or is this planted info to deflect attention from neocon win-at-any-costers like Bill Kristol? Mr. Hartmann wouldn't do that, but right-wing political propagandists would.

So now The Right is putting out a message of "Democratic congresswoman shot...by a liberal"? Oops! Seems they may not have thought that one through very well and for better deflection from the consequences of their operatives' violent rhetoric, they may need to "reload".

Now a few years ago, most Americans would tell me I'd lost my bippy if I asserted that the negative expression of our Ceres-Pluto/Chiron's Symbol was uppermost in our society.

But now it's late days with the BP-Gulf Oil blowout decimating our Gulf Coast, GM seeds ruining natural fields and crops the world over, Wall Street hustles and bailouts are forced as private debt is socialized and the rich get richer and more powerful, carcenogenic food additives cause illnesses galore, imperialist wars bankrupting our Treasury, and other outrageous acts and events we hear of and suffer from each day.

Feeling targeted yet? Americans are an endangered species!

Even the entertainment industry does its part against us as the NWO plan to 'feed the senses' at the expense of reasoned thought and attention to what they're up to behind closed doors has taken over the minds of many citizens, especially our young folk. You'll even hear the word 'senses' a bunch in commercial ads from 'Madison Avenue' with messages such as, "Relax, feed a sense or two" and you, too, may find 'happiness' in mood-altering room deodorizers of your choice.

In 2010, "witless gambling of every resource and potentiality" is one sorry description of how this country has been run for decades, and how our resources have been abused for massive profits by those who think they're better than we-the-people and don't mind oppressing us until those left standing agree with them.

And yet I do not agree. Do you?

Does BP really own the oil they're siphoning off from the Gulf Oil fiasco their witless gambling caused? Why, next thing we know, Monsanto will declare itself to be the owner of the cattle upon a thousand hills!
