Astro-Notes on The 2004 Transit of Venus and an Unfaithful Donald Trump

The last Transit of Venus (passing across the Sun from Earth's vantage point) occurred on June 5 and 6, 2012 and is the last Venus Transit of the 21st century. For as you know, Venus Transits occur in pairs every 243 years, 8 years apart and separated by gaps of 121.5 years and 105.5 years. Follow the above Wikipedia link for more details about this rare, scientifically significant, cosmic occultation.

Yet the focus of this post is the 'partner' of the 2012 Transit which occurred on June 8, 2004 so if we check out 2004 in US Politics, we find war criminals Dubya Bush and Dick Cheney in the White House overseeing America's oil-and-poppy grabbing Middle Eastern adventurism in which no WMDs were found - but ancient artifacts were looted from the Iraq Museum. However, the good news is that apparently, 17,000 of the looted artifacts have been returned to where they belong. We might also note that Bush and Cheney were "re-elected" on November 2, 2004 - and that the Venus Cycle (4 and 8 years) forms a background of cosmic influences upon the US Presidential Election Cycle. Not the only one or the only influence on elections, of course, but there it is.

Now to calculate the 2004 Transit of Venus Horoscope, below, my astrology software and I can only manage an exact conjunction of Sun and Venus which, as you see, occurred at 17Gem53:34 at 4:43 am edt (Washington DC: ASC 00Gem13 conjunct Alcyone (keyphrase: something to cry about). Please note that the bi-wheel image shows the 2004 chart surrounding the natal chart of Herr Tr*mp:

Meanwhile, various events in the US during 2004 are listed here. June 2004 events include the resignation of CIA Director George Tenet on June 3rd, the passing of Ronald Reagan, age 93, on June 5th (funeral June 11th, a beloved fellow to many), and the Sea Island, Georgia G-8 Summit ('8' one of Venus' numbers) which then included Russia but as you know, Putin and the Kremlin were kicked out of the group in 2014 due to aggression against Ukraine.

Now since Tr*mp's ambitious dreams of power and control were simmering in the background of 2004 with his alleged foreign connections well underway by then, it seems significant to me that the 2004 Transit of Venus perfected directly upon his natal 10th house Uranus (17Gem53) which happens to be his oriental or guiding planet, with Uranian chaos and disruption being his favored way to do business, as we know. Plus, because erratic Uranus suggests reactionary politics, radical reforms, abrupt changes, unusual contacts or associations, or even zealotry and anarchy - if We The People didn't realize the radical political nature of Tr*mp in 2004, we certainly have seen and experienced such 'wild' and disruptive behavior demonstrated in the last few years, culminating with his terrorist attack on the Legislative branch of government on January 6, 2021 (with more to come).

Yet let's not spotlight only Russia and, by extension, Ukraine, in the Trump saga because two references to China appear in his natal chart, as perhaps you've previously noticed: the Sabian Symbols for his Uranus (18Gemini) and for his natal Moon (22Sagittarius) which are penned on the left of the chart, highlighted in orange. Curiously, one symbol (word picture) sounds like foreign spies having a cozy chat together ('unusual contacts and associations'), and the other = "A Chinese Laundry". He's said to be a dedicated money launderer, you know, and the global criminal underworld surrounds and supports him.

So as you see, transit Pluto in the chart conjuncts his natal Sag Moon so we know 2004 was a time of intense emotional turmoil and fear, being manipulated and controlled, and even overpowered (see lower left corner), plus, potentials of the period included trouble in personal relationships, difficult family matters, and issues of financial empowerment or theft.

Simultaneously, Pluto opposed his Gemini Sun suggesting a time of no-compromise situations (an offer he could't refuse?), threats of devastating consequences made, plus, his ego could have been defeated in a contest of wills against more powerful Plutonian forces. Of course, that's spymaster Pluto of the hidden hand, the manipulative planet of extreme wealth and perhaps ringleader of a criminal syndicate.

Plus, transit Pluto to South Node, a Saturnian point indicating the past, supports the idea of threats to his or his family's personal security, and possibly that he had met with these or other Plutonian figures before (SN).

Then if we view the 2004 Venus Transit Horoscope as one of simple planetary contacts for Tr*mp, Venus conjunct his natal Uranus hints that unusual or nontraditional contacts and alliances occurred along with relationship break-ups, while any threats to his ego probably dissipated rather quickly (as they would have if he accepted 'the offer'). His fabled lack of loyalty was activated (or utilized) and he received attention that made him feel 'special' (bwo Venusian flattery and financial promises) although group participation would have been a bit more difficult than usual for this odd Uranian loner and dictator-wanna-be.

Additionally, a general mention should be made of potentials within the Venus-Uranus pair and the associated tendencies toward extravagance, love of luxury, wastefulness, eccentricity, unfaithfulness, self-willedness in love, temporary liaisons, and sudden separations. And of course, he was born a rebellious, quirky Sun-Uranus kind of guy, an original, tendencies which were spotlighted or enhanced by the transiting Sun @17Gem53 and suggesting public contacts and meetings via his Gemini North Node.

Now in closing, here's a vintage SO'W post concerning this Venusian topic from way back in 2012: Horrocks First Views a Venus Transit in 1639 which provided more accuracy to measurements of our Solar System than observations had ever provided before. US Uranus at "9 Gemini": "A Quiver Full of Arrows" = "PREPARATION...positive expression: unlimited personal capacity for rising to the issue of the moment on any level of experience; negative: querulous overconfidence and quixotic notions." (Jones). The positive we aspire to, the negative sounds just like Uranian Trump!

Confusing, obfuscating, and shading America's reputation in the world and our national self-image a la Trump, during his campaign and ultimate selection to play the POTUS role, a three-fer series began in 2016 which culminated on February 16, 2017 (just after Trump's oddball "inauguration") when 2017 Neptune hit the American Revolution's Prenatal Eclipse in Pisces. Perversely, for Uranus is the planet of perversity, Trump's guiding planet is his 10th house Uranus @17Gem53 ('18Gemini' = "Two Chinese Men Talking Chinese in a Western Crowd") bringing forward his chaotic, erratic, contrary and disruptive style of so-called leadership, so perfect for foreign leaders to exploit in their ongoing campaign to sabotage America and our global alliances. And this makes my Child of the Revolution blood boil as my Revolutionary ancestors spin in their sacrificial graves. (To my knowledge, Trump has no Revolutionary ancestors. Can't you tell?)

Meanwhile, astrological Uranus is also known as The Awakener--and as we're currently hearing in the public discourse an echo from Thomas Paine, the times have found us, my fellow Americans.

So it seems clear that if Trump's authoritarian push to replace our constitutional Republic with a lousy, sub-standard Pluto-in-Capricorn dictatorship (effectively a monarchy such as our Founders so valiantly fought against!!) - if this misguided change of direction won't awaken the American people to the fight before it's too late, then tragically nothing ever will. Of course, it isn't merely Trump attempting such a coup, it's his wealthy backers, foreign and domestic. And my suspicion is that they too know about radical Uranus and about the usefulness of Astrology as a timing device.

So in closing my fuss, here's an excerpt from a previous SO'W post, sans edits, concerning misused or abused power, revolutionary Uranus plus Neptune, and our radical Founding Father Thomas Paine--born in 1737 with an arousing Uranus-Neptune opposition:

For example, Uranus and Neptune in opposition identifies the era of freedom-lover Thomas Paine as a time of secret alliances, important information withheld from the people, apathy of the masses which allows leaders to undermine the people's natural freedoms, nationalism, unrest, strong economic and military developments, and countries hurled into a major world conflict a few years later (Pelletier).

This generational opposition also gave Thomas Paine and his contemporaries an intrinsic understanding of national and international politics for which he personally felt a responsibility to arouse the people whenever public opinion can reverse a threatening danger which may involve religious, social, and racial issues along with the political.

Such was the life and the mission of seeker Thomas Paine who died a pauper on June 8, 1809 and whose dedicated service to the Cause of Freedom I hereby honor with this post. jc.

Chiron-Uranus Chaos in the White House 2019

August 21, 2019: Seldom do I re-publish one of my own posts but seldom do I re-read one that closely applies to current events and/or people in the here and now. Such has occurred with the following remarks posted here on SO'W on December 30, 2005 and which I applied to George W. Bush at the time--obviously, since Dubya was playing the POTUS role in 2005. Therefore, you'll notice references to the departed Bush, below.

And so I ask all readers to consider the following in light of the chaos-creating Trump personage and his 'administration' along with his enablers and fellow saboteurs and would like to know if you agree that Big T is described herein to a 'T'. If you wish, please leave your on-topic opinion with this post.

As for the Astrology of it, little did I know in 2005 who my post was describing in the future! For as you know, Trump was born with his guiding planet, Uranus, in Gemini (10th house), and Chiron in Libra (2nd house), an Air trine between them. Their trine indicates one whose Quest involves a lifestyle that attracts public notice and social reactions which greatly influence him (R. Nolle). This sounds somewhat mild, like Trump's current obsession with polls and his years of headline-grabbing activities--until we consider the rest.

Chiron-Uranus Types in Government

Our current system of government is being guided in the last few years by those who know better than the average bear, and don't mind telling us so.

I refer to the restless, opinionated, passionate, other-worldly reformers who have Chiron/Uranus aspects or other signatures of these two planetary mavericks in their personalities and natal charts.

See if any of the following sounds like US 'public servants' you know for I think we're suffering under a whole gaggle of them - and have been for decades:

Thriving on change, the Chiron/Uranus type of personality has an inability to accept a higher authority than his personal choice, and possesses a strong belief in individualism--as long as it's his own.

Existing social systems and any sort of restrictions upon him personally are things to rebel against and to reform, and although there is a belief in freedom, including freedom of speech, there is deep intolerance of others' ideas. Blithely unaware of this contradiction, he plows along, like an unstoppable bulldozer with utter belief that he (they, really) know what is best for all humankind.

He feels an urgent need to improve the world according to his personal belief system, and frequently can be found in politics, law, or other social institutions. According to his agenda, institutions are little more than systems which must be broken and remade--and the resulting chaos they cause is "temporary" and to them, "worth it."

And while a love of humanity may exist, the love is detached and abstract--there's no love of people up-close or personal, for that would involve an exchange of feelings, and might result in the Chiron-Uranus person's authority being challenged. This gives a tendency to dehumanize others, and to keep them at a distance.

"Energy follows thought" is an intrinsically-understood concept, and overthrowing the old system and challenging prevailing wisdom is assumed to be a worthy and necessary goal.

This is the "speculator for great gain" personality, and if a few toes get crushed underfoot, so be it. One's Mark Must Be Made in History, preferably in an individualistic way.

Here is an agent for change, either positively or negatively, yet an "escape hatch" must always be available, for this type hates being pinned, tied down, or inconveniently held accountable for the unfortunate consequences of his actions. (Unless it's furry handcuffs--there can be a kinkiness behind closed doors, but Let's Not Go There.)

There is an ill-considered zeal and self-righteousness coupled with an indiscriminate willfulness which causes disaster rather than the creative change hoped for. Yet "outstanding in his field" is an apt description of this sort of rebel with his abundance of intense preoccupations that can widen horizons too far--his over-concern with the larger picture allows the devil to take over the details, and things can fall very flat.

And while he may think freedom is to be had by overthrowing structures "out there", his personal freedom/authority issues are what is in need of reform and careful consideration.

Rash, crusading, and hypocritical, he seldom feels the beam in his own eye, for the trouble is always seen as being outside himself--yet he would do well to address these issues stemming from his own unresolved adolescent conflicts with mummy and daddy.

Above all, there is a conviction that anything can be changed--that traditions are minor restrictions to be dispensed with--and that nothing is really sacred, including boundaries, borders, inconvenient laws, treaties, or Constitutions. Laws are for commoners, he thinks..."we" are the "ruling class" who make up the rules for others...we don't follow them, we just make them.

A numbing lack of connection to his own feelings makes it difficult for him to admit mistakes, especially when added to the above-mentioned "out there" tendency. The black-white, "for us or against us" method of polarization has worked well for him--exs: Bush after 9/11, and the illusory "con vs lib" arguments which have kept most Americans busy infighting for years and under the plutocrats' claws. (I can't say 'thumbs' here because this kind of primal reptilian behavior is way beneath most human beings' evolutionary level and shows a tendency to eat one's young, quite frankly.)

W Style?

Is the quickest way to unite all "evil-doers" against the "white-hats" simply to draw the line in the rhetorical sand and keep repeating your most calculated lies? 'Twould seem so. Especially in Washington, DC (my favorite former abode.)

Yes, the Chiron-Uranus types of personalities have a strong and consuming urge to remake the world, a tendency shared by globalists who have the same arrogance and greed to make their marks upon the world, and who don't hesitate for a second to use Chiron-Uranus types as tools for their NWO purposes.

Recognizing The Primitive Uranian

A Voice from the Past Informs Us

In the AFA's journal Today's Astrologer (July 29, 2003 Vol 65, No. 8) appeared a reprint from its September 10, 1942 issue of Charles E. O. Carter's writing on the topic of astrological Uranus. The venerable Mr. Carter (born with Uranus in Libra rising) notes that Uranus was discovered in 1781 while in Gemini (24:27) and "it quickly became known as the planet of revolution, personal liberty, self-will, and even rebellion." Naturally its resonance with both the American and French Revolutions has been frequently noted through the years. Also note that 25Gemini07 is the degree of Trump's 'prez-bid' New Moon that morning of June 16, 2015 when he paid actors to sit in an audience at Trump Tower NYC watching him and his 'better half' descend from a gilded penthouse to the rabble below.

The Carter article then goes on to assert that there are "three kinds of Uranians: primitive, ordinary or normal, and the supernormal, with many intermediate shades."

Here yours truly shall inject the fact that Uranus @17Gem53 in the natal horoscope and psyche of Donald Trump is oriental (last to rise before the Sun) and thus is considered his 'guiding planet'--Uranus, known for its sudden 'wild card' capacity for creating chaos, shocks, and disruption, and primitive planet of revolutionaries, anarchists, and blind zealots everywhere. That's his nibs and the whole world sees him that way. Do most Americans recognize him? Yes, because it's nose-plain. His antics, criminal and otherwise, are shoved in our faces 24/7 unless we take serious measures to avoid being 'shoved' via propaganda and sly, oft-repeated rhetoric a la Joseph Goebbels Reich Minister of Propaganda 1933-1945 (he of 'The Big Lie' fame, a tactic his nibs follows).

And so here is an excerpt from Charles E. O. Carter's description of The Primitive Uranian as reprinted in Today's Astrologer July 29, 2003:

"He is very vengeful, very bad-tempered, being uncontrollably furious on occasion and completely unreliable. Sometimes the malice and ill temper come from a prominent Mars" (Trump born with Mars rising in royal Leo--jc) "are absent" (it isn't--jc) "and we merely get perversity and untrustworthiness" (yep, those too--jc). "This variation is not bad-natured" (Trump certainly is--jc), "but is incapable of common sense" (ex: Trump--jc), "wearies his friends with his inconsistencies and lack of reason and is forever 'going off on a tangent' and leaving whatever he was engaged upon, often just at a critical moment" (we can hope--jc) "when by using ordinary reason he might have achieved success. Perversity--that is a Uranian keyword.

This type will never admit its own folly but will try to justify even the silliest of its acts" ('Tim Apple'? 'Oringes'? sad--jc) "so that sensible people soon tire of its ways and write it down as hopeless ass or something more lurid. Lack of patience is perhaps the other primary fault of the type, which loves to act, think and feel quickly and with intensity and is irked beyond endurance by those who move to a slow tempo."

Yet we must take it easy on his nibs of the Oval Office for emotionally he's hypersensitive (or plays one on TV). Plus, he does, after all, constantly spout his own talents, approval ratings, and 'accomplishments' ad nauseum while offering the public bromides such as "Believe Me" and "Trust Me" so, if repeated often enough, won't such bromides and slogans make his antics okay, no matter how chaotic, shocking, and disruptive?

Horoscope: United Nations w Sept 25, 2018 planets

Please enlarge chart image to read my study notes. You see the brutal Mars-Pluto-Saturn trio in the UN natal chart and in current transits (see center of chart). The transiting Nodal axis is involved in 2018 making things more...fated or karmic (2018 Mars conjunct 2018 SN; 1945 Saturn-Pluto = 2018 NN--see chart at bottom). Also notice that transit Uranus @1Tau39 Rx currently opposes UN natal Sun @1Sco07 (leadership). Planets and notes on the opposition are marked in blue. Since UN natal Uranus @17Gem02 Rx conjoins precisely the natal Uranus of Trump (17Gem53, his chaotic guiding planet), I'll say this chart shows Trump opposing UN leadership. Also conjunct @17Gemini is UN natal Nemesis (the unbeatable foe) and UN natal Psyche (or psycho?).

And the Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') of the UN is in the 1 North Saros Series ('The Mother of All Eclipses') in 4th house which repeated as The Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 @29Leo conjunct the natal Ascendant of Donald Trump and royal star Regulus (success if revenge is avoided). And since I've previously posted so often on these topics I'll not bore you with them tonight.

Oct 2018: Tail of the Dragon Smacks 2017 POTUS Sun!

On October 27, 2018 transit South Node ('Tail of the Dragon') 'smacks' the 2017 POTUS Sun 00AQ49:53 for just under 3 minutes from 6:50 am edt to 6:52:50 am edt. The horoscope below is set for Washington DC at the first minute of this conjunction; the transit may have no significance at all but is posted here for the sake of recording the cosmic event--and because of the tribulations of the Trump administration since he 'took office' at noon on January 20, 2017 at noon est with an isolated 10th house Sun that represents, since Inauguration Day 2017, thespian Donald Trump in the leadership role.

Obviously this particular nodal transit also occurred approximately 19 years ago while Bill Clinton was in office, his second term ending on January 20, 2001. Embroiled in legal, political, and personal battles, Mr. Clinton's White House experience resembles on a basic ethical level that of the embroiled Mr. Trump, as you know, and although SN to Sun is a cosmic event of brief duration, perhaps its Saturnian vibes of separation and lack of resonance with the public (or with the public mood or societal trends) returns in 2018 for the American people's further dealing in the inflated form of ethics-challenged Donald Trump. Both planet Saturn and the Nodes of the Moon are considered karmic (what was sown is reaped) and both play roles in the element which only Astrology can provide the seeker--timing.

Now since it's America's POTUS Sun involved ('President of the United States'), the US presidency will be 'smacked' or 'swiped' in some way along with the man playing the archetypal role in October 2018; therefore, the Presidential Oath of Office will be involved. This brings Trump's affirmation to preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution into this Saturnian picture with its 'separation' theme. Agreement that Mr. Trump is actually doing the required job in the required way is hard to find unless you look toward the morally bankrupt GOP and their billionaire enablers who are determined to re-write the US Constitution in unrecognizable ways. Plus, Trump's mesmerized supporters, who at this typing, remain devoted to his quirky, eccentric, chaotic Uranian way of doing things, tradition be da*ned. For after all, Trump's natal 10th house Uranus in mutable Gemini (sign of duplicity, variety, tweeting, and gossip) is his guiding planet because it rises just before his Gemini Sun (aka, 'oriental').

And if we look to a South Node/Sun conjunction in general for clues to what may be involved in late October, we find circumstances, conditions, and people continuing to block and limit Trump's self-expression, leadership, and power potential. Obstacles via others litter his path of achievement to the point that aims may be denied altogether. That Trump has and does promote his own selfish aims at the expense of others--aka, exploitation--complicates the situation for SN-to-Sun is a doubly karmic event in which current actions are thwarted by pipers who rightfully demand full payment. You've probably noticed how Mr. Trump has demonstrated an alarming lack of self-discipline and an inability to control his primal urges which do not sync with Saturn's requirements which can lead to positive outcomes and best results.

And of course, astrological Saturn is the taskmaster bringing lessons of limitation, restriction, and accountability (The Establishment in the form of Mr. Mueller?!) but as we know, Mr. Trump has shown himself to be learning disabled concerning most topics, and a know-it-all to boot. In fact, he has stated that he's never asked for forgiveness because he's never sinned or made a mistake--quite an unsullied 'god' he imagines himself to be! Perhaps having royal Regulus rising along with asteroid Apollo (the 'sun god') inspires such a misconception about himself as being superior to the rest of humanity. Yet in his role of US president, and allegedly accountable to the American people and to the laws of Saturn, it may soon be time for cosmic comeuppance for such hubris as that belonging to the very flawed Donald J. Trump.

Trump's Prenatal Solar Eclipse repeats July 12, 2018

Solar Eclipse @20Cancer41 July 12, 2018 10:47:47 pm edt Washington DC in the 2 Old North Saros Series. This is a repeat of Donald Trump's 2 Old North Prenatal Solar Eclipse (PE) which perfected @8Gem48 on May 30, 1946 prior to his birth on June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York. Note that his PE conjoined US natal Uranus @8Gemini55 (July 4, 1776) and that Uranus is the planet of separation, revolt, and chaos.

Themes of 2 Old North include potentials for 'taking action concerning personal relationships; unfortunate news regarding friendships or relationships; separations; endings of unions; glum conditions but fast action can bring positive results (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology).

Basic chart details are penned upon the image (exs: Mars out-of-bounds, Hour of Jupiter; Jupiter and Neptune chart-rulers trine one another--see lower left), and marked in green are Trump's natal planets and angles. Pluto @20Capricorn opposes the eclipse with both at critical-crisis degrees (20Can-Cap) across the 5/11 axis; the Sabian Symbol of the eclipse degree rounded up '21Cancer' = "A Prima Donna Singing' and notated, lower right, is "A Prima Donna Singing" since Trump's name is Don, of course, and today everyone continues to wonder if Trump will 'sit down' with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and 'sing' about his involvement with Vladimir Putin and Russian oligarch funding of his 2016 campaign. And answer Mueller's questions on obstruction.

This eclipse chart is infused with Jupiter-Neptune, the speculation/grand schemes pair and, as you see, Trump's natal Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter trio is in 7th house of Partnerships (in Washington DC; but in his 2nd house natally) and the midpoint of the Plutocracy pair of Jupiter and Pluto graces the Midheaven denoting those in power positions with great ambition to succeed. At apex of the Jupiter-Uranus midpoint is Mars Rx OOBs, well-hidden in the 12th house of Politics, Karma, and Self-Undoing and conjoined by the transiting South Node, a Saturnian point of separation. Mars-SN has a military ring to it (Trump's Mars and Pluto in Leo, plus his natal ASC, are in the 6th house of Military, Police, and Civil Service), and describes loners who act upon their own decisions without regard to the opinions of others--and may be out-of-step with societal norms. Plus, transit Mars opposing Trump's natal Pluto (10Leo02) indicates a period of hostile forces lined up against him and a lack of control on his part to affect outcomes--a karmic condition is indicated (reaping what's been sown).

Eroding Neptune in shady Pisces rising in the 1st house of this chart suggests conditions continuing such as scandals, deceits, cover-ups, leaks, disappointment, and loss, even thievery. Large water events such as flooding are also possibilities, along with plenty of tears--especially for those under Trump's watchful raptor's eye, aka, most anyone who isn't wealthy or famous. That his Prenatal Solar Eclipse now repeats as it does every 18.6 years spotlights the themes of his 2 Old North Saros Series, as noted above, and we'll soon see how significant, if at all, they become regarding events in his life. Of course, Trump's cruel policy of separating children from their parents at the border has already followed the eclipse's 'separation' theme--and this done for the political purpose of snagging the billions of dollars he demands in order to allegedly build a border wall. Yet I still wonder if he thinks he can keep a bunch of the money for himself!

Well, there are many other chart factors of note in this eclipse chart but it will soon be July so I'll close this post now and publish it this evening. Complaining about Trump and his anti-government handmaidens like eugenics-booster Stephen Miller does take a toll yet hopefully later in July my surgery sagas will be over and we can discuss more interesting topics than the fearfully misguided, anti-social administration run by autocratic Republicans and the orange-haired mascot they hope to hide behind in November.

Horoscope: Roy Moore Feb 11, 1947

Image: A speculative ('noon') horoscope of Judge Roy Moore of Alabama, born Roy Stewart Moore in Gadsen, AL on February 11, 1947 (after Trump's June 14, 1946) with Sun in Aquarius and Moon in Scorpio, a steamy Air-Water combination of energies.

As you see, this chart is set for noon because we don't actually know the sign or degree of his natal Ascendant without an accurate birth time. At noon, North Node @8Gem36 rises (conjunct Mr. Trump's Prenatal Solar Eclipse degree which conjoins US natal Uranus @8Gem55) as does Moore's quirky maverick Uranus Rx @17Gem49. No matter where The Witness planet of revolution and independence is in his chart, Moore's natal Uranus and that of Mr. Trump are positioned in the same degree of the same sign. A difference between the two Uranians is that Trump's is his guiding oriental planet while Moore's oriental planet is Mars @13AQ30--conjunct asteroid Pallas ('the daughter') and Lilith ('the fallen woman'), with both representing feminine archetypes that are strong in the Judge's life due to their contact with a very intense Mars (made more so in its oriental condition).

When Mars is oriental (last to rise before the Sun), we see an individual for whom self-promotion is constant and with a sense of always being ';on the stump' or beating a drum (Tyl); Mars oriental is shared natally by P.T. Barnum, Evel Knievel, and Liberace. Mars in Aquarius can be unreliable, contradictory, and superficial. Yes, his is a very busy Mars--oriental, one side of a T-Square (Mars opposite Pluto = Moon: an injury caused to a woman, according to Ebertin (see lower right of chart), plus, Mars is also is the tail of a Kite pattern with Neptune and North Node sextiling stealthy wealthy Pluto @11Leo57 Rx. A Kite suggests high-flying success and, for Moore, publicity (Moon-NN)--or perhaps I should type, notoriety.

Now if you enlarge the horoscope you can probably read (upper right) a few details concerning his Sun SQ-Moon Scorpio personality blend with "stern judge" part of the picture. Sexual deviant Pluto is out-of-bounds of the earthly plane and doesn't like to 'share' only manipulate and control, while Saturn Rx is fairly near Pluto Rx in royal Leo, the 'cruel duo' of planets. Actually, any contact between Mars and Pluto (ruler and co-ruler of Scorpio) can result in ruthlessness and brutality, and Saturn-Pluto is always 'an extremist' combination that judges harshly.

Natal Jupiter @26Sco07 (materialistic and ruthless) will soon receive a Jupiter Return. Then there is Moore's PE @00Sag49 which conjoins his natal Eros (sex; the piercing) and is in the 2 South Saros Series which contains a theme of 'joining unusual groups and gaining a great deal from them' (Brady) which could refer to his current group membership/s (we're talking Alabama) and/or to a new group he intends to join soon--one imagines it's the US Senate.

Meanwhile, his Mars-Chiron square denotes a need to deal directly with issues of sex and aggression(Nolle) yet something tells me that Judge Moore has yet to do this and is being compelled by a variety of forces to do so now.

Mr Trump is in a Dark Mood and so are We The People

As POTUS Goes So Goes the American People (and the World)

Gabriel Sherman's recent Vanity Fair article describing Donald Trump as "unraveling" and saying that he "hates everyone in the White House" also mentions that Mr. Trump is in a "dark mood" which resonates astrologically with his current progressed lunar Balsamic phase, the 'dark' endings and separations stage that everyone must go through at times in their lives. No one on Earth is 'above' the Cosmic Calendar or can escape their own karma, the reap-what's-been-sown imperative of the Universe.!

Then at the end of a Balsamic lunar phase, a Secondary Progressed New Moon (SP) occurs yet it is a few years before one sees with clarity the road ahead. Symbolically, Mr. Trump's SP New Moon will perfect in 2019 @3Virgo00, as noted in the Balsamic lunar phase post linked above.

Fake (Neptune) News (Mercury) a Frequent Refrain

Moody and emotionally needy to begin with (natal Moon conjunct South Node of the Moon--mother is implicated), Mr. Trump has been described here and in many other places as unequipped psychologically (natal Mercury in self-protective, tribal Cancer) and emotionally driven (Moon) and therefore unfit for the job of US president. Described as uncontrollable in childhood, he seems determined to remain so now.

Perhaps it is in part Mr. Trump's much-discussed Mercury (thinking processes; communication) square (blockage) Neptune (confusion; veiling; falsehood; fraud; delusion) which makes it difficult to impossible for Trump to listen to those around him and to perceive facts correctly so that his knowledge increases on the various topics his position demands that he understand. Awareness of reality suffers as he drifts into his own little imaginary world where everyone bows to his kingly majesty (Regulus rising) and applauds his (self-imagined) mastery. As he said, the indiscreet Mr. Trump 'thought the job would be easier', the mark of a man who assumes he knows better than anyone, even experts. Anyone who assumes the role of US president must learn on the job yet the Mercury-Neptune-squared Mr. Trump seems--or is--incapable of it. Tragically, his short attention span has become legendary!

Jupiterian Trump Behaves in Uranian Fashion

Emotionally sensitive and always impulsive, the radical (unstable, quixotic) Uranian Mr. Trump is certainly shaking up Washington as his voters assumed they wanted though chaos for the sake of chaos was not the best idea the American voter ever had. A Trump White House has become reality because unfortunately and simultaneously, there existed a wealthy class who realized that Trump was a handy tool to be used against the American people--taking away health care insurance while giving the wealthy large tax cuts, roiling the entire US health care system, privatizing more of our school system, deregulating common sense limits, and other deconstruction efforts that Pluto now in Capricorn favors.

Meanwhile, undermining Neptune floating through its own sign of Pisces aids in the dissolution of our republican style of government, increases fear and paranoia in society, and makes the press seem even more deceptive than it already had. (Not that it's a bad thing to unmask media as a major government propaganda promoter--who hasn't read Orwell?)

Astrologically, both Pluto and Neptune can act as saboteurs as can quirky Uranus, the disruptive shock agent that is Donald Trump for he is our Uranian-in-chief with his oriental 10th house Uranus in Gemini, sign of tweets, news, negotiations, duplicity, multiplicity, off-kilter remarks, and gaffes that when made, inadvertently reveal the truth.

Now as you know, a Mars Return chart symbolizes a new 2-year cycle of energy and activity underway and in this chart we see a cluster of trines forming a double Kite pattern of high-flying success. However, an undermining Sun-Neptune opposition is problematic plus, simultaneously transit Neptune @12Pisces remains in a masking relationship with US SP (progressed) Sun (POTUS) which suggests Mr. Trump's ongoing issues of paranoia, fanaticism, vagueness, deception, cover-up, illusions, pretense, an image of confusion, doubt, and disappointment--and, perhaps above all--scandal (real or manufactured). Yes, foggy Neptune is the "cloud" surrounding Mr. Trump and his White House minions. In addition, astrological Neptune represents both the media and the masses with propaganda and 'fake news' tossed in as deceptive tools to use and hide behind even as certain status quo forces attempt to unmask him and the rest of his crew who apparently have foreign ties and financial and/or political conflicts of interest.

Mr. Trump's current difficulties are also seen through transit Saturn @21Sag12, the taskmaster and lesson-bringer, again hitting Trump's natal Moon which conjoins his natal South Node and this transit we have discussed in previous posts (see link, below). Here, the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Creative Pursuits, and Children are spotlighted with possible separation themes (Saturn-SN; Moon = family and/or security concerns). In the 5th house, transit Moon @29Sag is in a critical state (29th degree) yet if we round up we find "The Pope Blessing the Faithful" (30Sag). Plus, the 5/11 axis holds an intercepted Gem-Sag polarity where Mr. Trump's natal Full Moon (Sun-NN/Moon-SN) has been accustomed to exercising free will while indulging his every whim as CEO.

But in the role of US president (which he admitted he thought would be "easier"), restrictions apply which, beside a security need for isolation, have included legal judgments--and triggered our traditional form of government with its checks and balances meant to keep a monarchical presidency in line. For as a political pundit stated recently, Donald Trump "doesn't own the US government", he's only a "caretaker." (Note that Alphard tends toward legal troubles and Trump's contentious Mars only adds energy and a sense of retaliation to his quarrels--legal, political, and personal; the 'poisoning' of or by Alphard may be vicious and malicious--and there's nearby Regulus, always tempted to take revenge).

Why, even astrological Venus can be vengeful, envious, and full of spite especially when scorned and here, she rises in Leo and suggests that dealings with valuable things, currency evaluation (or devaluation), luxury items, diplomacy, and/or relationships are on the White House agenda. Ruling the 4th house (via Libra, the Scales of Justice), legalities are suggested along with 4th house concerns such as security needs ('travel bans'? 'the wall'?), Real Estate (emoluments for Trump's properties? other?), Mining (coal?), and/or Endings, possibly through a Draining of Resources.

Mars Trine Uranus (1A26): Quirky Actions Bring Unexpected Results; Groups & Travel Are Favored

Now a bright spotlight is cast upon the Return 2nd house with Mars, Mercury, and Sun therein, plus, the 10th house contains Uranus Rx stirring things up; other areas most likely to be affected over the next two years by Mr. Trump's 2017 cycle of Mars (which must include Alphard) are the 5th house (penetrating Mars ruling Scorpio) and again, the 10th house of Career/Public Status/World Stage with Mars-ruled Aries on the cusp (MC), and as noted, unpredictable Uranus Rx @28Ari12 there acting as a tail of a complex Kite. Fortunate Jupiter conjoins the IC of the Return chart but from the 3rd house side (Communications galore) and has recently participated in Mr. Trump's 3rd of 3 Jupiter Returns (see August 4, below).

Of course, Uranus in Aries symbolizes blind zealots and Utopian anarchists (Ebertin) and maverick Mr. Trump's natal planets are lead by his quixotic Uranus in Gemini, also in natal 10th house as part of his natal Uranus-NN-Sun trio.

Then as you see, his Mars Return 2017 Mercury @00Vir12, the deal maker and communicator, is retrograde (reviews and delays?) in 2nd house and conjoins royal Regulus (caution: success if revenge is avoided). Plus, you know that Donald Trump's natal Ascendant (his nibs himself) conjoins Regulus, the king or kingmaker star so issues of a fragile ego and his ego-driven goals remain a focus for the self-important and very sensitive Mr. Trump (Mars rising in Sun-ruled Leo) who makes everything about himself--for he is the planet around which the world revolves.

CNN has published an interactive feature The Many Paths from Trump to Russia yet there are two Sabian Symbols in Donald Trump's natal horoscope that point, not to Russia, but to China. Of course, it may be that these symbols can apply to any foreign governments and his dealings with them.

For plainly Mr. Trump is certainly shaking things up the world over and stirring up chaos in the US just as Uranus, oriental planet (last to rise before the Sun) likes to do. Mr. Trump's disruptive natal Uranus @18Gemini is posited in his public 10th house of Career...

Natal Uranus: '18Gemini' = "Two Chinese Men Talking Chinese in a Western Crowd"...DIFFERENCE: positive expression: the effective mobilization of self and others for life's more specialized objectives; negative (shadow side--jc): a thorough dissipation of selfhood through alien relationships."

Okay, so his chaos-creating Uranus, the radical eccentric, 'leads' the nation but it's his natal Moon (conjunct his South Node opposite natal Sun) that may turn out to be an even bigger issue:

Natal Moon: '22Sagittarius' = "A Chinese Laundry"...SECLUSION: positive: an unusual gift for maintaining poise and self-perspective in every unfamiliar or alien situation (really? jc); negative (shadow side): unnecessary acceptance of self-inferiority." (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, M. E. Jones). So he constantly needs approval to bolster his sense of inferiority which accounts for at least some of his over-the-top boasting. Ex: boasting about US intel to the two Russians he allowed into the Oval Office.

Now assuming that the American people make it through May, June, and July in one piece, we have steamy August and The Great American Eclipse to navigate as does Mr. Trump (the August 21st eclipse @29Leo hits his natal Ascendant and singes his warring and belligerent Mars) for the month of August 2017 will be Full of Karmic Returns for the occupant of the Oval Office--and thus, for the American people via Donald Trump, aka, the blabber-in-chief.

The Modern Humanity Horoscope and Mr. Trump

Pictured below is the previously published Horoscope of Modern Humanity with scribbles intact if you care to enlarge the image. Modern Humanity's 'birth' time is based on two cosmic factors: the exact moment of the Total Solar Eclipse of April 26, 1892 and the third of three Great Conjunctions of generational planets Neptune and Pluto. Solar Eclipses are not rare, of course, but the cycle of Neptune and Pluto is approximately 492 years in length. And it is rare that an eclipse occurred so close to a Great Conjunction of outer planets!

So here are we 'moderns' in all our bullish, gold-loving Taurean splendor:

The 1892 Total Solar Eclipse @7Tau05 suggests the greed embedded within humanity (Taurus is possessive, greedy, and intolerant on its worst days but it is a sign of Growth). In the chart, you see that the Neptune-Pluto conjunction (which perfected as near as can be told on April 30, 1892) occurred @7Gemini+ which conjoined US natal Uranus (July 4, 1776 Uranus @8Gem55 = freedom, independence, war and revolution!) and that gives us a midpoint picture worth considering (below) yet that isn't why I re-post this horoscope today.

The reason for today's shout-out to Modern Humanity (for which the Great Cosmic Clock restarted during the oligarchic Robber Baron age of exploiters whose biological and ideological descendants continue to plunder the world as I type) is that the hugely Jupiterian-Uranian Mr. Trump has an interesting time link to the 1892 Neptune-Pluto conjunction--and he's something of a 'robber baron' himself with criminal associations of the mobster kind, elements that are also in the Underworld realms of Neptune-Pluto.

Mr. Trump's Prenatal Eclipse (PE), which manifested on May 30, 1946 @8Gem48 in the 2 Old North series, is also his Syzygy Moon since it was the last lunation prior to his birth on June 14, 1946. His PE effects are strong and reveal a prevailing lunar influence which adds to his problematic Moon-South Node conjunction opposing his Sun-North Node conjunction. Yes, his relationships are definitely affected and separations may occur with 2 Old North--and separations may occur with disruptive Uranus, the planet that leads the pack in Mr. Trump's natal chart. And as you know, eclipses are called 'wild cards of the Universe' since their effects (if any!) are completely unpredictable. However, they do tend to uncover inconvenient secrets with fair regularity and we may depend upon their 'themes' to give us a hint of general trends 'running in the background' of society.

Actually, the Uranian Tweeter IS a wild card in a very leaky White House!

Plus, he has other time links to this chart such as evaluating Venus (venal and retaliatory at times) which loves luxury (like gilded NY apartments), and @22Gemini in 1892, Venus falls into the midst of Mr. Trump's quirky Uranus-NN-Sun trio in his 10th house of Career and Public Status. There are other time links between Trump's natal planets and the 1892 chart and I'm certain you can find them if you wish.

Meanwhile, back in April of 1892, the Solar Eclipse @7Tau05 was also of the 2 Old North persuasion and my feeling is that 2 Old North themes of separation, ending of unions, rifts, schisms, and bad news concerning relationships describe the tendencies of Modern Humanity and are emphasized in 2017 with time links because someone thought putting Donald Trump in the White House (and all the other Trumps) was a great idea.

Well, according to the Great Cosmic Clock and the phenomenon of cosmic time links, the idea may have been timely in a sense but for the sake of America as a sovereign and welcoming nation with a decent though flawed reputation in the world, the flaws, rifts, and separations are piling up by the minute--and an non-mandated Trump White House is definitely not a great idea. Astro-Notes on the Capulus of Donald Trump

When one looks at the natal chart of Donald J. Trump the most visible point, the aspirational, goal-oriented Midheaven @24Tau18 ('MC') displays to the world at large a certain fixed star (23Tau26 in 1946) Capulus, a star of male aggressive energy, and partner to Algol (female aggressive energy). In fixed star interpretation, Capulus denotes blindness, turbulence, and passionate feelings with the blindness connection probably due to the fact that Capulus is actually a nebula and nebulae were used by the Roman army to test a prospective archer's eyesight.

Focused, direct, and penetrating action is a key concept of Capulus and when linked to a natal chart suggests rash anger, hasty action, and ruthlessness that has far-reaching negative effects if mismanaged. (Brady). Maturity is the necessary antidote for more positive, thoughtful, and nuanced expressions of this star. However, Mr. Trump also has egotistical Mars, the warrior planet, rising in proud Leo--with royal star Regulus (the king, or, the kingmaker; key phrase: success if revenge is avoided). Great energy is provided to Mr. Trump as described by Capulus at MC, Mars rising, and a solar-infused Leo Ascendant (physical body) yet as always, motive is all-important in every endeavor.

And so, Donald Trump was born with Regulus rising as Capulus culminated at Midheaven, a cosmic picture shared by at least two people pointed out by Bernadette Brady in her Fixed Stars book--one famous, the other infamous: mystic, artist, poet, and engraver William Blake and Jim Jones, cult leader and mass murderer. I'll call 'positive expression of Capulus' for seer Blake and very much a 'negative expression' for Jones and his 'People's Temple' outcome of tragedy and loss.

So as the stars impel, and the Trump White House term continues, We the People will see a starry cosmic picture unfolding in both positive and negative ways through a man whose mentality leans heavily upon the 'if it can be touched, weighed, or seen, then it has existence' model of Capulus which is supported by his leading planet Uranus and natal Sun in Gemini, and a Leo Mars and Ascendant, so demanding and needy for the constant reassurance of applause and approval just to believe that he truly exists on the earthly plane.

Is a Trump Administration Worth All the Trouble?

Since last week it has been difficult to miss the troubles of Mr. Trump's executive-ordered 'Muslim ban' squelched by the Judiciary branch of the US government for after all, 'conflict' is the litigious Mr. Mars-Rising's middle name. And yet an attempt to expand executive power isn't unusual behavior from a president, especially a brand new one, but treading over the US Constitution with muddy boots is asking to be slapped down and the Judiciary branch is typically the sheriff to do so. At least it ought to be that way in these heady days of the New Millennium, second decade as it is, because the tension between Jupiter and Saturn create the yin-yang balance of the Universe which keeps the planets in their courses.

So it's only natural that Trump vs the Judiciary is on everyone's minds along with our government's traditional checks'n'balances which can be described astrologically by expansive Jupiter in balance with restrictive Saturn--these days proceeding through the tropical Zodiac while engaged in a beneficial sextile (60 degrees) with each other, off and on. Transit Jupiter, now at 23Libra, has led a Locomotive pattern of increase and success even while retrograde and with 23Libra spotlighting two fixed stars, Spica (the spike) and Arcturus (a different approach), we find the office of the president (Spica = the Washington Monument) and the White House (Arcturus in L'Enfant's plan of Washington DC) having a tough time that includes the US Congress (Regulus, brought to Earth within the Federal Triangle). Three buildings located at America's founding intended to echo three major stars--and three branches of government meant to keep an eye on one another!

And of course, if you know anything about the natal horoscope and planets of Donald J. Trump, you know his fighting Mars in proud Leo rises with royal star Regulus (success if revenge is avoided). However, Mr. Trump has demonstrated a pattern of embracing and delighting in taking revenge. "SEE YOU IN COURT!" he tweeted, shouting in all caps after his ban was disallowed by a three-judge panel. Meanwhile, Hillary tweeted '3-0' to rub Trump's nose in his failure and yours truly replied to Hillary, 'a sweet tweet but it riles the baby'. Can you blame me? Okay, go ahead!

Besides have legal implications of the planetary pair, when society is under the influence of a Jupiter-Saturn sextile, overreach or over-extension are the primary causes of failure and it is by patience and careful planning that success may be attained. Recently even White House staffers have admitted that perhaps they should have consulted the departments that would be affected by a travel ban before springing it upon unwary officials and travelers (some who were traveling here for medical reasons). A steady development of plans while recognizing the limitations involved is the conservative approach which can actually lead to achievement while avoiding self-sabotage. Perhaps the label 'conservative' is the wrong description of the reactionary radicals, alt-right and otherwise, now roaming White House halls of power.

And so with the transit of Saturn, karmic planet of lessons, tasks, limitation, accountability, and delay, @23Sagittarius (Sag ruled by Jupiter), we see the societal pair of Jupiter and Saturn (checks-n-balances) in sextile aspect from Libra to Sag. Plus, Mr. Trump is in the midst of a three-fer Jupiter Return so expanded power has been on top of his to-do list for some time, that we know. And having a prominent Jupiter (17:27 stationary direct) in his natal chart and psyche (and exalted in Libra), we've heard Mr. Trump express the typical complaint of this placement more than once: "it's not fair!' which for him seems to apply to anyone who disagrees with his ideas or plans or who stands in his self-righteous, grandiose way. (He did, after all, 'do it his way', a good theme for his most elevated planet, radical independent Uranus in changeable Gemini, communicative sign of the trader, deal-maker--and double dealer.)

Yet perhaps in this meager attempt to understand the Oval Office occupant's current troubles of limitation and delay (aided by his lack of proper preparation), it is more to the point that transit Saturn has been within orb of conjoining Mr. Trump's natal Moon-South Node conjunction (21--24Sag) while simultaneously opposing his natal Sun (ego) in Gemini, something discussed multiple times here on Stars Over Washington and if the limiting effects of this Saturnian transit were not seen before the last few days, they surely can be now. Relationship problems (his natal Full Moon in Gem-Sag hit by transit Saturn = separation, endings, Melania-we-hardly-knew-ya, and health issues (or perhaps healthcare repeal/replace with the ACA/Obamacare which promises to become Trumpcare) have been demanded by old man Saturn, the Timekeeper of the Universe. Even transit Saturn opposing natal Uranus, planet of freedom, independence, and rebellion, has brought restrictions into his life while also supplying more serious responsibilities that limit his ability to go where he wants, when and how he wants.

So with the unpredictable harbinger effects of the approaching green comet set aside, there remains tonight's Lunar Eclipse @22Leo27 (the 'worst foot forward' degree) perfecting approximately three degrees from Mr. Trump's natal Mars while the eclipse Sun @22Aquarius spotlights the "Big Bear" of Russia in the Sabian Symbols. It may be up to five days before the eclipse shows its true intentions. Under the rays of tonight's eclipse (and followed by the February 26th Solar Eclipse in murky Pisces where transit Neptune has been eroding reality), inconvenient secrets, more info leaks, and news about scandals past and present may certainly manifest but for whose benefit? As always, only the Cosmos knows and that's for us to find out.

Jan 5, 2017 Stars Over Washington's 'Trump Poll': the totals so far

As of today the leading opinion in the recently posted Stars Over Washington 'Trump Poll' (A Trump Presidency will be--) is: one big scam. Runner-up is a distopian nightmare, and number 3: the end of America. The 4th possibility has zero adherents, undoubtedly because that answer is a dream come true.

And so I'm proud to say that readers of Stars Over Washington, those who go to the trouble to participate in polls (please do! sidebar, upper right), possess a clear-eyed, realistic view of the ongoing train wreck that is Washington DC Politics 2017 and have faced the haunting specter of the alt-right and theocratic ideologues who will sway Mercurial Gemini Mr. Trump on many social and political issues which will closely affect the American people, undermine the US Constitution, and ruin the US government more than it already has been. And considering Mr. Trump's conflicts of interest, past and current shady dealings, scams, frauds, billionaire buddies, possible mob ties, a basic lack of understanding of the necessary 'blind trust' requirement, and a thousand other issues and protocols that most people understand and would abide by, this freedom-loving fellow (who threatens to jail others and 'loves to fire people') sees only the ironies convenient for him to see. It appears to this astrologer that his fighting, egoistic Leo Mars rising with royal Regulus will signify much of his hot-mess presidency ruled by whim and retaliation.

And as anti-democratic and bigoted as his Cabinet members and staff of operatives may be, astrologically we can expect Mr. Trump's natal Uranus (radical reformer, rebel, anarchist) posited at his birth in changeable, sometimes unreliable Gemini to lead his pack of planets with all the disruptive, maverick, and chaotic energies it and he can muster. For as you know, the sign of Uranus in a natal chart describes behavior and with Trump's Uranus oriental and leading a BOWL shape, chatty deal-making Gemini is one of the main archetypes that We The People are facing with Mercury the ruler of Gemini and his Sun (personality) and North Node (public contact) in the sign as well.

And yet his Mercury in Cancer, sign of shrewd business ability and love of family and country, provides him some measure of perception, intuition, and objectivity (since Mercury is not in his Sun sign) even though his Mercury, planet of thinking processes, is ruled by the Moon (feelings, emotions) so We The People have that goin' for us. We find Mr. Trump's extreme defensiveness displayed via his tweets and remarks that punch back at all detractors ("enemies," he says) since Cancer, sign of the crab, always scuttles sideways to avoid dealing with unpleasant encounters--such as blame, criticism, and other people's opinions and ideas.

However, he relates to others (via Jupiter's sign--his moneybags planet is strong for it's Stationary Direct) as a Libra with the placement's constant "it's not fair!" refrain ringing in our ears, and yet his Moon-South-Node conjunction does not make for popularity and indicates mommy issues, or, at the least, a deep sense of separation from the crowd. This spot in the Zodiac (for him, 22 Sagittarius) is where the karmic planet of restriction and blockage, Saturn, now tromps and conjuncts natal Moon-South-Node and opposes his natal Sun in Gemini. This transit is quite a cosmic Ouch!

And so...

After the Revolution: the Oriental Planet of Donald Trump

Now that Mr. Trump will take the Oath of Office on January 20, 2017, I have been studying his natal horoscope even more closely than before. One chart factor that keeps 'popping out' at me is his 10th house Uranus in Gemini which leads the rest of his planets and is the last planet to rise before the Sun. This condition is called the Oriental Planet and as such provides clues to his 'inner guiding voice' and to the skill set he inherited at birth. Mr. Trump can use his 10th house (Career; Public Status) Uranus in communicating, trading, deal-making, negotiating Gemini to maneuver himself out of the scrapes he gets into though I'm tempted to add that the duplicitous nature of the Mercurial sign of Gemini (along with quirky system-busting Uranus) is usually how he gets into trouble in the first place!

Be that as it may be, a search for more information on Oriental Planets has lead to a handy article written by Michael R. Meyer, author of A Handbook for the Humanistic Astrologer among others.

Here I paraphrase Mr. Meyer concerning people born with Uranus Oriental, some of which applies to Politics and Society:

As Guiding Planet, Uranus describes what needs to be shaken up because it's out-moded or 'in the way', particularly in the social and political sphere. Uranus oriental folks are often dissatisfied with themselves, with their social status, and with general societal conditions. Quirky radical Uranus reveals in an unexplained way that conditions and circumstances could be improved but unfortunately, The Awakener (astrological Uranus) doesn’t necessarily provide insight into how to manage things "after the revolution."

Plus, as you know, the Uranian Mr. Trump has called NATO "obsolete" ('outmoded') but as The Guardian reports, Trump warned by Nato chief that 'going it alone' is not an option. Well, I'm not certain his Uranus Oriental is impressed by such a warning as long as member nations don't "pay their fair share" (grouses Mr. Trump's golden Jupiter in fairly balanced Libra!) And Uranus does tend to isolate, separate, and/or break up systems and organizations.

I think all but the most gullible among us already feel that Mr. Trump really doesn't know how this president-thing and 'revolution' should or will proceed in a way that safeguards our nation, if indeed that's what he intends to do. Uranus is, after all, America's 'totem planet' of war, revolt, revolution, crisis, separation, and disruption and his difficult Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse @8Gemini (2 Old North) with its 'bad news' potential conjoins US natal Uranus!

So what are the chances that Donald Trump will gain more realistic historical and philosophical perspectives with the alt-right history-challenged operatives gathering around him in the White House? Yet if president-elect Trump can manage to do this, he may find the balance necessary for fulfilling the *Republican plan to shrink and revolutionize the US government into whatever crabbed form they pretend is an improvement while still protecting the US populace and improving their plights...after the zealous dust of Uranian chaos settles, that is.

And so it seems that America's future depends upon one president's erratic Uranus in changeable Gemini, a familiar condition for We the People considering our nation's revolutionary beginnings, although now as then, outcomes and consequences will be unexpected, to say the least. Will the old order of Saturn give way to the new order of Uranus just as quickly as it would have under a neocon president such as perpetual warmonger and may-as-well-be-a-Republican Hillary Clinton? As I type, 'Democrat' President Barack Obama continues to push the TPP which will do much to set up corporations as everyone's overlords. Thanks, Obama.

All this said, how curious that some journalists intend to garble the notion of a 'Trump revolution' all together. Example: Donald Trump May Have Won--But this Is Not a Right-Wing Revolution.

Isn't it? My suspicion is that both History and Donald Trump's Uranus beg to differ.

How prominent is planet Uranus in America's natal horoscope and the American psyche? Yes, it's Plato's Ideal (Uranus) poured into Saturnian Form--and the form became the New Atlantis, that Utopian Dream of Plato, Bacon and others, with a capital city ("on a hill") that morphed into the New Rome of Washington DC, determined at all costs to conquer the world.

Yet with our nation's Uranus at 8 Gemini and Saturn at 14 Libra, this Airy (mental) duo of exciting ideas and decent values had moved beyond an exact trine (120 degrees) by July Fourth but had engaged as such off-and-on in their beneficial trine aspect denoting that our early American revolutionaries went on to earn the freedom they enjoyed through taking measured risks. Optimism in the future and adherence to ethical standards aided our early rebels in their quest for a New Order of the Ages as shown by our ethical Libran Saturn and futuristic Geminian Uranus.

So which planet is more descriptive of America's core values?

Republicans are fond of saying that the United States is a conservative nation. In part, of course it is. Yours truly is conservative in some ways but progressive in others for everyone has both Saturn and Uranus somewhere in their natal charts and if both planets express, then why not a blend? Yet America was founded upon the ideals of freedom, independence, and equality and has long been touted as 'the only nation founded upon an ideal'. Agreed. And that ideal and the novelty and genius of our founding is most closely described and identified by Uranus in Mercurial Gemini with Plato's Ideal a model!
