Fox 5 San Diego News labels Obama photo as "rape suspect"

Yeah, Fox 5, that's some "accident". Are you always this inept? Or is your sophomoric lapse merely a sick joke?

You didn't show what the president is. You showed what you are.

H. R. 4646 (fees on all banking transactions) is but a myth!

Got Political Rumors to Share? Trust But Verify!

by Jude Cowell

After receiving an eye opening comment here which included a certain rumor, I checked it out and guess what? The following disclaimer is lifted by yours truly from the website of Oregon's Rep. Pete DeFazio. Hopefully, since Stars Over Washington is a mere 'freebie blog' (no money made here, folks), no one will mind if I pass it on to get out the truth about a rumor circulating around the Internet which seems to be primarily directed at undermining the Democratic Party and President Obama as something crazy he'll 'slip in' to legislation after the election.

Now if it were true it would be unconscionable as well as traitorous to the financially overburdened American people especially with Wall Street crooks roaming free. But it isn't. This from Oregon's Rep. Peter DeFazio himself who is allegedly one of the sneaky culprits:

Learn the Truth about H.R. 4646

An internet rumor has been circulating that claims that I introduced a bill titled H.R. 4646 along with Senator Tom Harkin and that it would levy a 1 percent tax on every financial transaction including credit card transactions and even social security deposits. This is patently false. H.R. 4646 was introduced by Rep. Chaka Fattah of Pennsylvania, and has no cosponsors. I oppose this bill because it wrongly taxes all financial transactions, rather than just focusing on the Wall Street speculators who got us into this current economic mess. Americans making normal day-to-day transfers of money should not be subject to a tax on those transactions.

These days there are innumerable rumors circulating around the internet. Both Factcheck.org, Snopes and Politifact Oregon have debunked this myth, with Politifact Oregon calling it a “pants on fire lie”. #

Debunkings of H. R. 4646 to check out for yourself:

In the US, the dirty tricks of win-at-any-cost politics just never stop, do they? jc

Note: this rumor was originally trotted out just prior to the November 2, 2010 midterm elections--guess they're trying it again.

So with trickster Mercury (rumors; ideas) opposing falsifying, overblown, deceptive Neptune, I'll skip publishing the reader comment on this one. And if you are the one who left it, nice try. Either you're extremely gullible or a very bad sport.

Hint: as I've typed on SO'W many times before, I have a motto about such things that always has to be brought out when highstakes election seasons arrive:

Cheating isn't winning. It's stealing. jc

GOP to blitz against Obama's health care plan

Never mind the condition of the 'health care' industry in America. Never mind the state of health of the American people. Forget future generations, they'll be terminal before they leave their nurseries at this rate.

It's all about political dive-bombing against Barack Obama and the Democrats...we-the-people are mere collateral damage already sucked dry financially and with too many of us unemployed to pay the dastards.

They design chemicals, load our foods with it, sell things as 'new and improved' (remember that little Madison Avenue gem?), and then overcharge us for drugs to cure what they and their industry friends triggered in our compromised immune systems in the first place.

How brilliant the power elite must consider themselves!

Read and view how this Jan 19 BBC documentary takes on Obama's plans as a lobbyist admits what it's really about (rendering America's health care 'system' null and void, imho) - and undermining the president of the United States.

Karl Rove and the pile of lifeless bodies

Mark Crispin-Miller has written an article on all the 'suicides' and mishaps that have surrounded Karl Rove. It's titled, Bloody Karl so you see where Mark is going with this.

Paul Wellstone, the 'DC Madam', Don McCoy (plane crash Feb 19, 1988 - had just agreed to testify), and now Mike Connell (Rove's IT guy - his plane mysteriously crashed last Friday, Dec 19 - he was about to testify)...but they can't testify and cause trouble for Rove, Bush, and the GOP now...or can they?

~:~

August 31, 2007 was Rove's last official day as a White House worker bee and I wrote a little something about it including the day's planetary pictures and some details on Rove's progressed chart. There was a good bit of Fixed Star involvement that day so you may wish to check it out!

Candace Gingrich's letter to Newt

Now this letter from Candace to her political dinosaur of a brother Newt is priceless. Ordinarily I don't read other people's mail but she did publish it so I suspect it's okay to peruse.

(Who would name a tiny, defenseless infant 'Newt' anyway? Zeeks!)

Through the years, every time I heard Newt Gingrich spout that he was "from Georgia" I cringed. Some of my ancestors arrived in early Georgia from Virginia prior to the Revolution, others just after, and a few of them were already here, thank you.

"From Georgia"? Puh-leease! This native Georgian doesn't claim him.

And ethically challenged Gingrich has never apologized for his 'Contract With America' which has turned out to be more of a Contract On America, as many people have remarked.

If you think the last 20+ years have been about the Gingrich promise of 'transparency' in government you undoubtedly need a stronger pair of spectacles, Sparkie!

One of Candace's points is that the world has passed her brother by and that even geezers are on to his brand of political tactics. Well, if America has a dreg of good fortune left to her at all, it shall be so.

Therefore, I heartily thank Candace Gingrich for sharing her sentiments for all to read! Wonder if Newt has read it yet?

Some jokers will try ANYthing to win so let's keep our eyes peeled and our game on...after all, the Sabian Symbol for 2009's Inaugural Moon (noon, Jan 20) is '30Scorpio' = "A Halloween Jester."

Adriano Carelli gives a symbol for '30Sco' too, it's "A very large-headed snake." I can think of several politicians this would describe although the Moon in a national chart represents the people!

But perhaps such a Moon on such a public day may, on some level, also signify a famous individual of note who represents the people....supposedly our 'stand-in' although things seldom work that way anymore.

Carelli's fills in the picture with "will exert the greatest influence on his neighbors through his mastery of words, which will enable him to hold a nearly irresistible and hypnotic sway over others with the greatest parsimony of sentences" (probably not Joe Biden! more like Obama)...has "wariness, wisdom, and skill in the highest measure, which can be sublimated into the cardinal virtue of prudence, and as easily swerve into ignoble cunning, sneaking toadyism, venemous treacherousness."

Politics!

Carelli goes to mention debates and one who has "an uncanny knack of shifting any argument onto ground most favorable to himself" (herself = Palin?) and to "let opponents dig their own graves with statements jeopardizing their own case"...this is a "double-tongued trickster," he says.

So there's the trickster - jester element again, so of course we must remember Rovian tricks while hoping that the Democratic ticket will bring some small measure of improvement for what's really the only nag in the race:

America...once known as...
