Here's my complete list of astrologers who had given me personal chart readings... most have been birth/natal chart consultations, one was for Solar Returns, and one (you know who) was for my Fixed Star Report.

All but two were done by phone with a tape sent along afterward. The Fixed Star Report was by tape only due to distance (Australia), and one was sent by email for the same reason (UK.)

Now that I see the astrologers all in a row, it's quite an illustrious list, isn't it? And because I'm a "9" kinda gal, it seems I need one more reading...suggestions anyone?

August is 'Mars Hoax' time again!

Space Weather News for August 4, 2007:


BEWARE THE MARS HOAX: It's August, which means it's time for the annual Mars Hoax.

An email is going around claiming that Mars will approach Earth on August 27th; the encounter will be so close, the email states, that Mars will rival the full Moon in size and brightness. (Imagine the tides!) Don't believe it. The Mars Hoax email first appeared in 2003. On August 27th of that year, Mars really did come historically close to Earth. But the email's claim that Mars would rival the Moon was grossly exaggerated. Every August since 2003, the email has staged a revival.

Here's something that is true: Mars is having a close encounter with the Pleiades star cluster, easily seen in the eastern sky before sunrise. Especially good mornings to look are August 6th and 7th when the crescent Moon joins the planet and the cluster to form a pretty celestial triangle. Set your alarm!

MANMADE NOCTILUCENT CLOUDS: This morning in Florida, NASA's Phoenix Mars lander blasted off from Cape Canaveral aboard a Delta II rocket. The rocket's exhaust created a beautiful display of luminous, night-shining clouds.

Saturn in Virgo for the 2008 US election

Will the repairing of America be on the next president's agenda?

Although I've been studying the charts for the 2008 Election, I haven't prepared a post for publishing as of yet. So I keep an eye out for any articles by my esteemed colleagues who have come to a conclusion or two on the subject.

One such article from today by Philip Brown at AstroFutureTrends is Thoughts on Saturn in Virgo and the 2008 Election where Philip relates the upcoming visit of Saturn to the modest, fix-it sign of Virgo during the presidential election cycle--a definite must-read!

Nixon's resignation: 33rd anniversary

Thursday, Aug 9 is the 33rd anniversary of Richard Nixon's resignation from the Office of the Presidency.

Here's Nixon's resignation letter sent to Sec of State, Henry Kissinger on Aug 9, if you've never seen it. Someone wrote "11.35 AM" upon it (seems to be initials, "HK") so I'm looking at a chart for Aug 9, 1974, 11:35 am edt, White House.

Shouldn't Bush be taking a page from Nixon's White House stationnery by now? you ask.

At Nixon's resignation, tr Saturn (13Can22) was conjunct America's n Sun which represents the leader in a nation's chart. Saturn brings along lessons, accountability, and may bring loss based on past actions which are opened to review. (But Saturn rewards long-term effort where it's deserved!)

With Nixon's n Saturn (27Tau29) in 9th house and n Pluto (28Gem39) in 10th house of Public Status/Career, a fall from grace based on irresponsibility (misuse of authority...Saturn does not like that) and abuse of power within Career (Pluto) wasn't written in stone--our charts are not, y'know--we choose how to use what we were born with--but it would've taken a stronger, more self-aware individual to fight against the temptations of power than Mr. Nixon possessed.

His proud Sun Cap/Moon AQ personality blend gave him a need to always be in control to the point of torment, and much emotional insecurity with a deep fear of rejection. He was deeply suspicious of everyone, as we know, and had an ability for ignoring people and matters which didn't interest him.

His AQ Moon indicates a detached mother, Cap Sun shows an authoritative, perhaps cold, father...not a very cozy childhood, and it's debatable how helpful his early religious training was to him emotionally. He never got over his sense of inferiority--and the only other n planet above the horizon in his birth chart is nebulous Neptune (24Can46) in 11th house of Groups and Associations.

I suppose you could say his secretive, 11th house Neptune 'served' him as he colluded with the White House "plumbers" and their Dem spying/burgling plans which resulted in the Watergate scandal. Of course, the full-of-lies Vietnam War was underneath it all, as the Iraq War is underneath Bush-Cheney's impeachment troubles (among other things--there's much to choose from with this crew, the worst we've ever seen.)

Having struggled unaided to the peak, a mountaineer hitches a ride on a passing helicopter.

Sounds like his final journey from the White House when it wasn't so certain that he would not be prosecuted. My guess is that he was glad to be saying farewell without a stripedy suit upon his back, and I remember that day, seeing him on TV, saying buh-bye, which brought me to tears.

This sad, pathetic excuse of a president had ruined my favorite city--I lived in D.C. during Watergate, and the pall that Nixon cast over the city hung over us like a wet blanket of corruption. My tears were deeply sad for 'my' beautiful city, but were also tears of relief to see him go.

Buh-bye, indeed, but save your 'victory' signs for something more honorable. (Crooked presidents make me mad-as-a-wet-hen, then as now.)

And so, as Bush-Cheney and their chickenhawk pals weather the storm of distrust they have brought upon themselves--and with America's safety valve of the Impeachment process undermined by the charade that was Bill Clinton's impeachment--Saturn's Return to conjunction with the US n Sun (after nearing it beginning in the second half of Oct 2003) was exact June 10, 2004...therefore, Saturn conjuncted Bush's n Sun in June 2004 as well.

My question is: what are we waiting for?

a squinty eye on Congress

Because astrologers much prefer to have exact times for setting up charts--whether it's for persons or events--I was happy today to find a Library of Congress website that gives bills, resolutions and their statuses, and the congressional schedule--times noted.

So often we get stuck with "approximately", or "shortly after" the hour, etc...which makes it scintillatingly challenging to use angles, planets, degrees and such to pinpoint a correct time, and all astrologers are accustomed to doing just that esp with rectification work.

Rectifying charts to a correct birth time, for example, while fascinating, is one of the more time-consumimg facets of astrology--how much easier to have the correct time in the first place.

Why no one has given me a heads-up on the existence of this marvelous resource, I don't know, but it should make my charts more accurate as far as congressional shenigans go. Feeling pretty miffed about it, but that will pass...

So...have you met 'Thomas'? Named after Thomas Jefferson, this site has search features for bills, resolutions, for what's happening on the floor NOW--why, it's stunningly helpful for using the time-focused art of astrology.

Thomas.loc.gov is great for when you need to know What, Who, How, and WHEN (it's the Why that remains highly questionable.)

Oh! And Bush signed the new and improved we're-draconian-so-that-you-don't-have-to-be "Homeland Security" bill today. Yippee.

It's more of America's increasing isolation and police state mentality on the way for John Q. Public as the USA's Secondary Progressed Mars Rx focuses inwardly on the Lunar-named "Homeland" for now more than ever their target is We The People.

Besides--Saturn's "Fatherland" was already taken.

Fisher-Price Recalls Licensed Character Toys Due To Lead Poisoning Hazard:

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in
cooperation with the firms named below, today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using
recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer, and other children's
toys

Units: About 967,000

Importer: Fisher-Price Inc., of East Aurora, N.Y.

Hazard: Surface paints on the toys could contain excessive levels of
lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse
health effects.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The recalled involves various figures and toys that were
manufactured between April 19, 2007 and July 6, 2007 and were sold alone
or as part of sets. The model names and product numbers for the recalled
toys, which are all marked with "Fisher-Price," are listed below. The
toys may have a date code between 109-7LF and 187-7LF marked on the
product or packaging.

Sold at: Retail stores nationwide from May 2007 through August 2007 for
between $5 and $40.

Manufactured in: China (CPSC points to China--jc)

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from
children and contact Fisher-Price. Consumers will need to return the
product and will receive a voucher for a replacement toy of the
consumer's choice (up to the value of the returned product).

35W Bridge Collapse and the YOD in the sky

Yesterday's YOD formation is startingly implicated in last evening's bridge collapse in Minneapolis, MN (6:05 pm CDT), and my heart goes out to my fellow citizens there.

If you're not actually visiting SO'W at this moment, I hope you will do so and take a look at the chart for what's being called a collapse--with Homeland Security's quick-as-bunnies' assessment that the collapse "did not appear to be terroism-related."

That was mighty fast, wasn't it? Almost prescient! A lot like the FBI's pronouncement within hours of Sen. Paul Wellstone's plane crash (Oct 25, 2002) that there was no evidence that the crash had been an act of terroism. But that's a post for another day (see American Assassination, by Jim Fetzer and Four Arrows.)

The crisis-ridden YOD formation with Mercury/Mars (both of which are associated with travel and vehicles) pointing to saboteur and catalyst, Pluto--rising, planet of death and destruction--adds another picture to my mention of the YOD (Rumsfeld defends) of yesterday...

Mercury/Mars = ASC: stormy or turbulent proceedings.

To recap from yesterday...Merc/Mars = Pluto: suffering heavy or bitter attacks or assaults from others.

Tony Snow quickly weighed in on behalf of the White House with helpful finger-pointing toward the bridge's squirreliness:

White House Cites Deficiencies in Bridge which is true, according to the National Bridge Inventory of 2005.

Being of a suspicious nature, it only makes me think that this particular bridge was a good choice for a false flag op. And it was under cosmetic refurbishing at the time, to be sure...another part of a convenient red herring?

Then again, foreign terroists could have read the 2005 Inventory as well. Add the fact that a train was passing underneath the bridge and it seems a good way to deliver the Boom, Boom, Boom which eye-witnesses have reported hearing just before the bridge went down with plumes rising.

HoSec, ahh, HoSec:

Are there links between the bridge collapse catatrophe and the natal chart of the boondoggle aka HoSec?

Too many to mention, but some highlights include:


HoSec Mars conj Bridge MC: action; change of status; responsibility grows.

HoSec Moon (9Leo45) conj Bridge Sun: illuminated achievements.

HoSec Mercury conj Bridge Jupiter (getting ready for his Direct Station in a few days, conj violent Fixed Star, Antares, obsessed with success): travel; legal issues.

This position of Mercury is same as n Mercury of George Bush--and of the Republican Party.

And since the Bridge collapse's 8th house cusp (death; transformation; 7Leo53) has Bush's n ASC upon it--with Sun conj his and R-Party's n Mercury) you may wish to check out my burning bush post on "8Leo" from another degrees interpretation by Adriano Carelli.) These 8-11 degrees of Leo also conjunct perfectly Alberto Gonzales' Leo line-up of planets.


More HoSec hook-ups with current transits:

HoSec MC (goals; ambitions) conj Pluto (actually this is a Pluto conj MC transit): dramatic changes of perspective are practically assured; identity transformation possible; major job adjustments; separation; recognition and the ultimate power position are possible; past mistakes are opened to view and threaten ruin.

The last possibility has been italized by yours truly. (Tyl, midpoint directory.) Wouldn't want it overlooked!

Another transit of great interest to HoSec's natal chart is Pluto opposite n Saturn at IC, the HOW? of the natal chart. Pluto opposite Saturn's control and authority:

Structures and traditions are significantly altered or transfomed (Pluto = transformation) by current circumstances; sacrifice, hard work, and attained seniority (Sat) bring no rewards; attempts to impose authority are met with unwavering resistance. Unwillingness or inability to accept past failures, loss, and disappointments work against one's authority (Instant Horoscope Predictor, Julia Lupton Skalka.)

With the cruel, violent Saturn/Pluto midpoint at MC (Goal; WHY?) as the bridge collapsed, we see:

Sat/Pluto = MC: major separation as a last resort; desire to rise from difficult circumstances through the application of tenacity; severity; one-sidedness.

Also at MC is asteroid, Hidalgo (sorry to note, but this brings in a Latin influence) whose keywords are: expecting to be in control; self-assertion in defense of principles. Foreign terroists--or Gonzo-and-Bush-under-fire and firing back?

So...Saturn/Pluto = Hidalgo, and all are within orb of conjunction with Bush's natal IC, the HOW? Point/Foundation of his birth chart. They've been hanging about his IC for awhile which I thought was interesting, that's all.

And with activist, instigator, and figher Mars conj nasty Fixed Star, Algol these days, there's plenty of violence, murder, and criminality to go around, isn't there?

Pluto rising is snugged about by two more nasty Stars: Aculeus and Acumen. But my typing finger has worn out so I'll save them for another day...hint: they both relate to leadership ability--and to blindness!

Yet I must add at the IC/HOW? Point of the bridge collapse chart, asteroid Cupido, keywords: organization; corporations; the family. Hmmm.

And there's Rx Venus, she of the vengeful nature when riled, conj asteroid Atlantis: abuse or misuse of power; where we feel doomed.

Perhaps you see why I'm suspicious of the whole easy-to-dismiss-as-not-terroism disaster...and why I'm not certain from which quarter our troubles have come.



Note on HoSec + Bridge Collapse Davison Composite Chart: often I use C/Natal or C/Dav charts for events or relationships and keep the results under my babushka. This time it's worth a mention of the date which results from the C/Dav combo (averaging = their relationship.) I tend to read C/Davs as karmic conditions--but in the past-catching-up kind of way--reaping what we sow.

Their combination gives: March 29, 2005...the day Bush nominated Rachel Brand as Asst Atty General, I found after performing a small Googling (and there may be other related events for that date, of course.

A true Bushie, Brand announced her (rather quick) departure from the DOJ on June 29, 2007, effective July 9 just passed. Here's a link to a brief article--esp since Brand has ties with under-serious-fire Gonzales for his underhanded handling of the Justice Dept:

Rumsfeld defends

Today there is a YOD in the sky--a pattern of two planets sextiling one another, in today's case it's Mercury and Mars, and pointing to Pluto, planet of power, manipulation, control, and coping ability.

Donald Rumsfeld is coping by admitting that "errors were made" concerning the fracticide of Pat Tillman and the subsequent cover-up and lies told to the Tillman family.

A YOD formation has an interesting nickname, The Finger of God, and may relate to the silver bookmark used to mark the place for the next reading. A warm Shout-out goes to excellent astrologer Erin Sullivan for this detail.

The sextiling planets form the base of YOD pattern and both are inconjunct (quincunx = 150 degr) the focal/apex planet. It signifies a special purpose or task which is critical (a crisis), and I suppose Rumsfeld comes under that category as the Bush-Cheney disaster of an illegal war must be defended yet again to save the administration's and the Pentagon's oink oink. What else could he do but defend?

The midpoint picture reveals some info with Mercury/Mars being energetic or energized plans, powerful opinionation, and quick repartee, among other things.

Mercury/Mars = Pluto: a sharp analyst (Rummy is known for that); exposure to heavy attacks from others; criticism with a passion; knowing just what's wrong with the world; involved in big arguments.

Today's YOD is affecting more than just Mr. Rumsfeld, of course, but he's the big fish testifying in a big argument, I'd say. He has a Sun/Pluto conjunction natally...he IS Pluto.

Apex Pluto in a YOD formation indicates one who is introspective and tends to become engrossed in complexities. Objectiviy is lacking and his extreme perspective can be out-of-focus with society. Apex Pluto here shows a karmic condition and a new path which must be undertaken--apex Pluto is either abandoned by destined changes, or he must regenerate himself and learn to accept the new conditions.

He is an agent for ushering in a new order and is part of revolutionizing world concepts.

Hmph. I'd been wondering how deeply Rummy was still involved with the global domination agenda.
