July 12, 2010: Senate returns with Moon in Leo

Today the US Senate returns to work on Capitol Hill just after yesterday's Solar Eclipse in Cancer.

Meanwhile, here in the Atlanta, Georgia area, a thunderboomer has suddenly announced itself so this post must be brief with only a thumbnail sketch of the day's energies...

Close friend: Dr David Kelly's death cannot be suicide

Previously unreleased evidence seems now to be under consideration by the British government relating to the 2003 'suicide' death of UN weapons inspector Dr. David Kelly during the run up to the Iraq invasion and the toppling of Saddam Hussein.

Working as Dr. Kelly's translator in Iraq, US Air Force linguist Mai Pederson had her testimony disregarded in the past but new attention to the case has opened up her dossier of evidence to a level of public scrutiny.

Pederson asserts that Dr. Kelly predicted his own death in conversation with her - not that it would occur in Iraq, but in the woods near his Oxfordshire home. He unfortunately turned out to be correct.

You know, I spent many an hour in 2003 and 2004 studying the horoscopes of Dr. Kelly's death, his body being found (July 18, 2003 9:20 am BST according to news reports at the time), and his solar natal chart (birth time unknown; born May 17, 1944 in Rhondda, Wales; sunrise 5:24:56 am BST) and it's really too much to reconstitute all of my research now in only one post. Impossible actually for there are too many factors involved.

But here are some general highlights still in my files with 'death' North Node (NN - fated encounters) @ 27Tau45 conjoined with nasty, violent Fixed Star Algol intense feminine rage) which is traditionally associated with the Middle East along with its neighbor, Capulus (to lose one's head.)

The July 17, 2003 chart is set for a few minutes after his reported leaving of his house for a walk and because tr Jupiter 21Leo15 conjoins Mc 21L15 @ 2:59:36 pm BST, Oxford, UK...angular Jupiter or Moon are most often present at times of death: so Jupiter comes closest to fulfilling this angular condition, hence my precise timing.

July 17, 2003's NN also conjoined Dr. Kelly's natal Sun indicating an important meeting, encounter, or contact on that day.

Kelly's natal Saturn/Pluto midpoint was being transited by 'death' Venus: delays in destruction of things of value or beauty; troubled by the loss of love; a love of seclusion; renunciation of an association; estrangement and alienation.

You may wish to see this article on the looting of the Baghdad Museum in the early days of the US invasion. I can't get over the feeling that there may have been more going on with Dr. Kelly's last encounter than possible love matters or obvious war intelligence. There is an indication that the top UN nuclear weapons expert may have known secrets about the execution of the attacks of 9/11/01 as well with his natal Jupiter conjunct Venus' position on 9/11/01 which in turn conjoined the 'King of Terror Eclipse' degree (August 11, 1999.)

At his last encounter, Sun/Jupiter = Mercury: conclusion of a contract or agreement; reflecting on one's health (his was not so good - jc); a fast mind able to react to rapidly changing situations (his or someone else's - jc); traveling; a healthy outlook (which undercuts the case for 'suicide' - jc); publishing (did he plan to publish what he knew? Would he not be dissuaded? - jc.)

In Kelly's solar/sunrise natal chart, the Moon/Pluto midpoint is @ 27Tau44 which is conjoined on the day of his death by the karmic NN...

n Moon/Pluto = tr NN: upsets in associations due to lack of adaptability; being drawn to women of power or wealth. (Tyl; Ebertin; Munkasey midpoint pictures, as always.)

Well, Dr. Kelly had a Lunar Return on July 18, 2003, about 12 hours after his death. Natal solar Moon 18Pis52 was in 10th house of Public Recognition as the story spread across the globe. Plus, there is an obsessive-compulsive quindecile aspect (165 degr) between testifying, negotiating, message-delivering Mercury with the Lunar Return's Mc...

Mercury QD Mc: driven to share ideas, info, or intell with others without any thought of the consequences; focus is on 'how do I get ahead?' (Reeves, The Quindecile.)

One must wonder if the focus also might have been on 'how do I avoid violent assassins while also saving my reputation and career?' But his walk in the woods turned out to be a fool's errand on all levels.

Also, just prior to his death, Kelly's 12-year reward cycle of Jupiter, his Jupiter Return (18Leo46), occurred on July 5, 2003 with n Jupiter applying to only one aspect - a semisquare to controlling Saturn (0A16.) Semisquares may have health consequences (though assassins trump them every time.)

And perhaps it's interesting in a synchronistic way that today's position of Jupiter conjoins Dr. Kelly's 2003 Jupiter Return Midheaven, the Goal Point for I have questioned in the past (long before reading the above-linked article about Mai Pederson who is stated to have had 'high-level links to US intelligence agencies' and who had rendevous'd with Dr. Kelly in various locations including in the US) whether a lady was involved with, or at least present at (or just prior to) his death since the horoscopes indicate the possibility.

His Jupiter Return Mc? '4Aries' = "Two Lovers Strolling Through a Secluded Walk." Perhaps knowledgeable, generous Jupiter is trying to share intell with us!

Okay, so the Jupiter Return chart is only based on a solar natal chart for Dr. Kelly, yet the Mc's Sabian Symbol seems too applicable to the events of July 17, 2003 to be ignored by this reluctant astrologer.

And my druthers would be that my more able Astrology colleagues are on the Forensic Astrology case, for time won't allow me to spend very many hours re-studying the strange death of Dr. David Kelly, much as I'd like to. So if you, dear reader, have any info or opinion on the situation, do leave a comment and/or a link here and we'll discuss.

And perhaps further news of the hopefully re-opened investigation will come forth sans the whitewash of the Hutton Inquiry.

Astrology of the Clean Air Act effective Dec 17, 1963

Since the Clean Air Act came into effect on December 17, 1963 levels of acid rain of the 70s and 80s were successfully limited and a few amendments have been made.

Yet today, as Living On Earth reports, acid rain has again become a problem but now it's mainly coming from different sources such as agricultural practices. (Click for LOE's interview text or audio.)

So what were our solar system's planetary actors up to when the Clean Air Act was first put into effect in 1963? And which Solar Eclipse Series did its implementation fall into?

Checking the chart for Dec 17, 1963 noon EST Capitol Building, we find the Moon in Capricorn (law, government, business) for the full 24-hour period, so let's begin with the sometimes opportunistic Sun Sag-Moon Cap blend which describes a social conscience on an enthusiastic quest for both meaning (Sag) and usefulness (Cap.)

This blend has two Images for Integration:

Hmmm...is living on another planet at the top of a secret agenda after using up the resources and defiling the Earth's environment beyond repair? If so, then we know who is primarily to blame: the resource plundering class whose genesis is marked by the Robber Baron era, the Great Conjunction of oily Neptune and plundering Pluto in the 1890s!

A new cycle for mankind began as Neptune and Pluto met 3 times: August 2, 1891 @ 8Gem38, Nov 5, 1891 @ 8Gem19, and April 30, 1892 @ 7Gem42; their Great Conjunction/s provide a natal chart for our Modern Era. These degrees in the Tropical zodiac are where transiting Midas and Pan linger now...Midas, the royal Gold-Hoarder, and Pan, the trickster and flute-player associated with the labyrinthine sign of Capricorn.

Interestingly, the 7 - 9 Gemini area of the zodiac coincides with America's natal Uranus 8Gem55 of 1776, the planet of science, progress, radical changes, revolution, disruption, genius, and/or awakening. So we may wish to consider the midpoint picture which formed with US n Uranus way back in the 1890s especially since for all intents and purposes, the picture remains in effect, for no Nep/Plu conjunction will appear on Earth's calendar any time soon.

Any, all, or none may apply to this topic or to others, and are subject to stimulation by transit and progression:

Neptune/Pluto = US n Uranus: adventurous, mystical, and supernatural experiences; peculiar discoveries; hypersensitivity; disruption to gain recognition; adventurous ego thrust; possibly aberrant behavior; impersonal attitudes about any destructive or antisocial activities (such as destruction of mountain tops for mining purposes? jc); use of unusual means to change reality; rebellion against artificial supports or pursuits; going to extremes with drugs. Through excessive use, large amounts of drugs have ended up in the US water supply and has become a dire health issue as well, hasn't it?

On Dec 17, 1963, transiting Uranus 10Vir04 Rx and tr Pluto 14Vir14 Rx (Virgo, an Earth sign) were soon to have their own Great Conjunction/s in 1965/66. Both planets would go on to conjoin US natal Neptune 22Vir25, with Uranus to n Neptune increasing our need to fulfill ideals and spiritual inspirations (ex: "Be ye stewards of the earth" - Scripture - jc) as quirky Uranus upset the status quo of our nation's accustomed Neptunian yet practical ideals through actions of the Flower Power Generation, and the grass roots Power To The People movement. (Not that kind of grass. Well...maybe it helped a little.)

Later, tr Pluto to US n Neptune brought a period when political, economic, and physical power struggles surfaced and power became an illusion. Undetected forces of secret hand Pluto slowly eroded national power which may in part describe the progressively 'toothless' enforcement of the Clean Air Act and other legislation and movements of the time (Civil Rights Act, Vietnam War protests, etc.)

The Clean Air Act of 1963 falls into the 1 North Solar Eclipse Series which manifested on July 20, 1963 @ '1Sag', the "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire" degree. (This is the PE of both JFK's assassination in Masonic Dealey Plaza and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima 1945. President Harry Truman is known to have been a Freemasonry member.)

The most recent occurrence of 1N is the famous 'King of Alarm' or 'Terror' Eclipse of August 11, 1999 @ '19Leo' as noted by Nostradamus. The next manifestation of 1N will be on August 21, 2017 @ '29Leo' - if we haven't been left so unprotected from industrial practices and contaminates that we've coughed ourselves into oblivion long beforehand.

1N: unexpected events involving groups or friends with relationship issues looming large; hasty decisions are inadvisable since information is distorted and possibly false; elements of fatigue and health problems are attached (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

Well, a lack of clean air certainly brings mankind a myriad of health problems, a condtion which causes the words 'particulate matter' to come easily to mind and lung.

Fretting over the July 11 Solar Eclipse? Then read this!

Expert astrologer Lynn Hayes has published 10 Reasons Not to Worry about the July 11, 2010 Eclipse which comes in timely fashion, just as a few readers of this blog are fretting (after reading this blog.)

Mea culpa, no doubt, for obviously I have yet to make it clear that comparing an eclipse chart to one's own natal chart is a horse of a different color from the articles I publish here concerning the unsavory political realm using the lens of Astrology to peek under the hood of Politics. The squirmin' vermin underneath need as much light shed upon them as possible, right?

Therefore, you should know that my eclipse posts are always written on a symbolic level (whether a Solar Eclipse is Total or not, sans eclipse path considerations, etc) with special attention paid to an eclipse's degree, sign, aspects, and the house polarity as they affect national charts which are most often set for Washington, DC.

(Hence the title, Stars Over Washington! And not, Stars Over Your Aunt Myrtle.)

That a SO'W analysis would affect you on a personal level by way of your birth chart is seldom applicable (other than your considerations of how Politics interferes in your life - and Politics doesn't wait for eclipses to monkey around with us, as we all know.)

Two symbols for the Solar Eclipse of July 11, 2010

Now that the July 11, 2010 Solar Eclipse is almost upon us, I've had a chance to check a certain book which has what I consider to be quaint symbols, The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac by Adriano Carelli.

Not every degree has a word picture but all have explanations based on empirical study; the symbols are from start to end of the 360 degr circle, and not keyed to one another as in books on Sabian Symbols such as that by Dane Rudhyar and Marc Edmund Jones. Some people have critiqued Carelli's book for that reason - one symbol doesn't 'lead into' another and the meanings of opposite symbols may have little or nothing to do with another.

Yet I find Carelli's Symbols useful in most cases, quite odd in others, and think that perhaps the July 11 Solar Eclipse @ 19Can24 may be elucidated on some level by considering Carelli'a symbols for '19Can' and '20Can' since the book recommends rounding down to the actual degree sans minute. This suits me since each degree is part of a process, as is life, and one degree 'finishes' as the next comes into being. Ex: a planet's position @ 15Can29 is no less '15' than '16' but is in process of evolving.

Now I won't quote the book in full but will give 'highlights' of both degrees' explanations which may apply in 2010 as best they may, or perhaps you'll discover that they describe certain persons of your acquaintance - or people in the news.

Plus, the July 11 Solar Eclipse carries some hint of crisis because '20Cancer' is a critical, sensitive degree and conjoins Fixed Star,Castor, whose potentials include: writing or creating; sudden fame or loss; crippling of limbs; mental illness; murder (A. Louis, Horary Plain and Simple.)

Click the link above and you'll see that the Eclipse occurs in the 8th house of Shared Resources, Credit, Insurance, Debt, and Transformaton when the chart is set for DC (and it is. This is Stars Over Washington. ;p)

In his book, Mr. Carelli uses classical literature and other chivalrous references which may give a quaintness to the information. Yet he is describing, of course, archetypal images from the Collective Unconscious; 'knights' still exist in 2010 but whether they retain their integrity as they should is quite another question.

Both degrees for the July 11 Solar Eclipse do happen to have word pictures which are the symbols themselves, and I shall quote whomever Carelli quotes in italics while attempting to streamline the rest.

(Note: You may notice that the 1st symbol has an Illuminati flavor; the 2nd symbol reminds me of Sirius in its 'Dog Star' role.)

'19Can' SYMBOL: A renaissance gentlemen, sword and dagger at his side, plays the flute before a book stand on which an ancient illuminated score rests. Other courtiers stand respectfully around.

'20Can' SYMBOL: A watchdog slumbering at the entrance of an old palace.

Masters is what dogs have. - popular Italian proverb.

As long as mankind stays what it is, policemen, customs officers, sextons, career soldiers, jail wardens, harlots, are all necessary evils. The frontier needs watchdogs, justice needs bloodhounds, and the male needs the female.

Midpoint pictures of the New Millennium Chart 2001 includes its Pre-Natal Eclipse Series (PE of the 21st century), the 2 South, which manifested on December 25, 2000 @ 4Cap15. This Solar Eclipse time-links by degree and sign to the recent Lunar Eclipse 4Cap46 conjunct Pluto on June 26, 2010.

So from 2000 to 2010, conscious and unconscious material synthesizes as events repeat in similar ways on various levels so they may be dealt with, and I believe this relates to the soon-perfecting opposition between societal planets, Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn (restriction.)

Their opposition is the 10-years-later culmination phase ('Full Moon') of their Great Conjunction of May 28, 2000 @ '23Taurus' = "A Jewelry Shop Filled With the Most Magnificent Gems" - when the seeds of our current malaise were planted, and which describes to me the wealth that's now been sucked out of the global economy and into Pluto's dark and selfish lair for Taurus is a practical Earth sign whose shadow side contains greed, possessiveness, intolerance, and prejudice.

Besides relating to the Republican Party (Jup) and Democratic Party (Sat) in US Political Astrology, the orbital dance of Jupiter and Saturn relates to stock markets as well, and it's been 10 years since the clock began ticking on world banking plans of political import - the first half of their cycle has been the up side; now we have 10 years of the down side until their next Great Conjunction of Dec 21, 2020 in Air @ 00AQ29, the current position of US Inaugural Sun (the leader.)

Also in the post, you'll find Rose Lineman's advice on how to achieve karmic progress for eclipses occurring in Capricorn (June 26), ruled by taskmaster, Saturn. And I know this reminds you of the over-spending habits of the populace (Moon) of various nations and their should-have-known-better, ill-coping governments (Pluto in Cap), the bad habits which have brought mankind to the edge of a dizzying financial precipice, 2008 and beyond.

Is US Gulf Coast under military occupation?

Folks who know more about such things than this blogging gnat ever could are saying that military occupation of our Gulf Coast region is underway...more shades of Katrina's aftermath? Part of a process to bring 'change' to America?

Now the majority of Americans are busy going about their daily rounds, taking care of business, and attempting to keep up with bill paying so if they hear this sort of news, military guns seem to be a good idea - for the sake of 'protection' and 'security', as they're propagandized to think.

And we know that US natal Ceres Rx @ 8Pis41 (security needs, issues) conjuncts our natal Pluto/Chiron 8Pis50, the plutocratic duo of oppression, primal violence, nationalism, and other -isms that keep people divided and under control.

But is something more sinister going on on the Gulf Coast? Is the Dobyns version of the US natal chart descriptive of military rule with US natal Mars at Midheaven, the Goal Point of any horoscope? After all, wherever Gemini appears in a horoscope we find duality, multiplicity, and possibly deception, as you know, with Mercury's trickster tendencies having outlet for expression (especially on an angle such as the Mc.)

And the US n Mars/Neptune square places Neptune rising in the Dobyns version of our birth chart as surveillance of US citizens is being ramped up in direct opposition to our country's 'freedom documents'. Dubya did many things in order to set it up with 9/11 as justification and shield, Obama took the baton and is running toward the finish line.

Sometimes I think that Eisenhower's 'warning' about a takeover of a "military industrial complex" was more of a promise than a warning coming from a military General in charge. (Check online and you'll find pages on how 'Eisenhower' was a fake name for a set-up identity! Reminds me of the Obama birth certificate question and it wouldn't surprise me if his identity is fake, sad to say.)

Well, in yesterday's post on the Dobyns chart, I neglected to note (for it's been mentioned here before and a thousand other places) that in 2006, US natal Mars turned retrograde by progression for the first time in US history, a condition which indicates a turning inward of our martian energies (astrological Mars is energy, action, and motivation) so that setting up a police state, riots, protests, strikes, and acts of terrorism - including false flag ops - are bigger potentials now for mainland USA.

Increase of our prison population (especially males) is, of course, likely as the rumors of ramping up of prison and holding pen construction spreads across the land. Well, the US prison system is overflowing already so more building is necessary if you're about to clamp down on dissenters, malcontents, and criminals - the irony being that the elite at the top can be as criminal as anyone - in many cases, more so, for the world is now beset with a win-at-any-cost crime syndicate tentacled across the globe.

Yet one good potential for our Secondary Mars Rx, imho, would be for our troops to withdraw from where they shouldn't have been in the first place. Army boots on holy sand is a picture that's always had something deeply wrong with it.

America's 'morning' natal chart - the Dobyns version

You know, the Library of Congress website states that "Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence in the morning of a bright, sunny, but cool Philadelphia day."

A bit poetic yet telling given how many versions of America's natal chart exists, and most of them set for the afternoon of July 4, 1776.

So today I break from my habit of using the 5:10 pm chart (Sibly) and find that the closest version I have in my files for an 'in the morning' chart is the one presented years ago by master astrologer Zip Dobyns. Here you see it displayed with a few of my markings upon the chart image (click to enlarge.)

Searching for factors that differ from the other US charts, the 10:36 am LMT version contains two *YODs: Mercury/Neptune = Moon (we-the-people), and Mercury/ASC = Moon (5th house.)

Naturally, the Mercury/ASC YOD disappears rather quickly but Luna stays within orb of the Mercury/Neptune YOD until 12:36 pm. Later afternoon charts such as the Sibly (5:10 pm LMT) do not contain the Mercury/Neptune YOD with apex Moon, so this may be a small chance to evaluate the Dobyns chart with a few indications presented here.

Mercury/Neptune = Moon: intuitive thoughts bring confusion and questions; sympathy and receptivity; a misguided imagination (which may be self-induced, and/or induced from others who lie, cheat, and pepper us with constant propaganda -jc); ESP; personal impressions dominate thinking processes.

Mercury/ASC = Moon: projections of emotions to others; moody reactions when stimulated by certain people; judgments based on personal feelings or subjective assumptions; negotiations that concern women.

When transit Neptune recently 'came through' these degrees we experienced:

Mercury/ASC = tr Neptune: deception; fraud; falsehood; slander; being deceived or let down by others; thinking badly of others; laxity in how events are recorded; confusion about the motivations of others; open to deception; not knowing quite what to think about someone. (Actually, I'm not personally confused about certain people: they're crooks and swindlers.)

10:36 am LMT, Philadelphia, PA, July 4, 1776: Hour of Mercury (Rx); Venus, Mars, and Pluto are out-of-bounds as in our nation's other July 4 charts.

One large factor in favor of using this chart for America is our do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do Geminian Mars @ Midheaven. Native Americans identified our martian tendencies early on as the US government, its reps, and many settlers spoke with forked tongues in order to take what they wanted and expand into the world. Our tendency to reneg on agreements is indicated as well since Mercury (agreements, treaties, negotiations, trade, commerce, communications) rules Gemini.

As you know, Mars signifies the Armed Forces and Police of a nation, and in general, males between the ages of 25 - 35, give or take a year or two. The goal (Mc) of being global cop, invader and occupier, and a police state at home comes to mind especially when we consider how many citizens are now locked up in the massive US prison system. Even debtors' prisons have been revived in some states in spite of difficult financial conditions and our tattered social fabric.

That the US is an active force (Mars) on the world stage (Mc) is obvious but the awareness of its true meaning and our multiple (Gem) motivations (Mars) are often not well understood at home by most of us, partially due to purposeful governmental and media-enabled cover-ups and obfuscations.

Two midpoints oppose natal Mars, and one conjoins it: the Venus/Uranus combo of energies which is more than broken relationships; it's also erratic or extravagant with money which works on several levels, not the least of which is the Pentagon's outrageous war budget for 2010 which totals more than all other discretionary spending put together! Not listed on the chart:

Moon/Neptune oppo Mars: self-aggrandizement; lack of self-control; relying on feelings rather than observations; anger and rancor from others; protests.

Moon/ASC oppo Mars: energetic self-projection; temperamental change at the slightest sense of frustration; impatience when others interfere with procedures; moodiness.

America's Problematic Mars/Neptune Square So Very Angular: our confused, deceptive, and/or inspired motivations

Now as you see, nebulous Neptune rises in the Dobyns chart indicating a psychic flavor to the chart and perhaps the oft-accused mysticism of Freemasonry and other secret societies in control of the US. Escaping form life's harsh realities is a constant occupation and perhaps turning on a TV these days, you'll view a plastic wind-up doll in a TV ad extolling the (dubious) virtues of yet another chemical mood enhancer for that 'moodiness' we just listed above. The insecurity of Neptune makes our fabled search for 'security' in the world something of a wild goose chase since Neptune's realm is the spiritual, not the physical!

Obviously, Neptune's link with the masses, mass media, and Hollywood's silver screen are indicated (as well as oil and gas), along with a tendency to become sympathetic yet dispirited concerning the many depressing social, economic, and human rights violations in the world. We do tend to give others the benefit of the doubt (often too readily, imho) and we attract odd characters who can easily steer us wrong.

Blend in the only-in-the-Dobyns chart inconjunct between Moon and ASC and we have quite a picture of the American character...see what you think:

Moon inconj (150 degrees) ASC signifies us as a people so eager to show concern for others that we allow ourselves to give to those who don't deserve our efforts - they laugh at us behind our backs for our gullibility! (Of course, we also willingly give to those genuinely in need and this is not to be discounted - I'm simply attempting to make note of factors not present in other versions of the US natal chart.)

Moon inconj ASC makes us emotionally vulnerable to the problems of others yet it's difficult for us to discern the difference between those who really need our help and those who don't, a trait which has proven through the decades to be an expensive character weakness to indulge. And with many of our presidents being Freemasons, their understanding of the universal principles of Sacred Geometry has given them a reliable window on how to play us. (On one level, mega-bucks can be channeled and re-directed through charitable donations - it's not just been Al Qaeda doing it - the US government may have perfected the ruse!)

Yes, our leaders know that the American people are generous and willing volunteers. But unfortunately, 'Moon inconj ASC' describes a condition where our volunteer efforts undermine our health and compromise our well-being.

Recent examples are Gulf Coast clean-up crews and the 9/11 first-responders; I'm certain you can think of others.
