Campaign donors to Congress, Pluto opposite US n Sun

With November midterm 2010 upon us in short order, Mother Jones has published a helpful Campaign Cash Seating Chart showing who owns Congress, House and Senate.

An interesting example is Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX), the toadie who apologized to BP (poor things!) after the Deepwater Horizon disaster. One of Barton's primary donors is Anadarko Petroleum, owner of 25% of BP's...wait for it...Deepwater Horizon well.

You know this is the sort of thing that belongs in SO'W's How can they think no one notices? file. The sad part is, before going to polling booths across the country on November 2, will anyone care which industries and corporations they're voting for?

Caution: if you vote (and I hope you will - though if everyone decides to stay home I can do that, too, to send a message - but it must be everyone) on November 2, you will be voting for skunks, crooks, vermin, varmints, shills, and bandits. If a decent person slips through and ends up on Capitol Hill, they will soon be disabused of the notion that anything fundamental can change about Washington DC politics because entrenched power politicians won't allow their cushy positions to be lost - and they play for keeps. Though some incumbents have already dropped out rather than face who-knows-what (blackmail for some distant sin?), there are plenty of them still skulking about the halls of power with string pullers making sure they stay in place in order to promote the globalists' bigger picture.

Yet transiting Pluto in Capricorn may have other ideas which disenfranchise America if she doesn't play globalist ball.

The next transition brought to us by secret manipulator Pluto, the planet of 'powerful forces' is lining up now and will first hit US natal Jupiter by opposition on January 17, 2011 (Sibly chart.) Pluto opposing natal Jupiter indicates a period when our economic status is not favored. We may not know who or what stands in our way (mysterious Pluto in Capricorn, sign of the olde countrie) yet whatever has truly been achieved cannot be destroyed...it's the wispy wealth that exists only on paper or in a cyberland cloud which may disappear with a touch of Pluto's magician's wand.

Pluto opposing natal Jupiter, planet of money and abundance, brings obstacles to progress as well and there's little to be done toward improvement. This is a know when to hold 'em transit of subdued aspirations, something our Jupiter-ruled nation has trouble accepting, and it relates not just to finances but to politics, higher education (Pres. Obama is already touting community colleges and I believe he's correct about their practicality for job hunters), religion, and other 9th house matters where Pluto intends to fight for control of our minds - America is the only nation to be founded upon 'an idea' after all.

Adding to the complexity, the plutonian processes of destructuring and transformation will be ongoing during our nation's Saturn Return which begins in short order: December 3, 2010, March 22, 2011, and August 28, 2011...2011 contains both these difficult transits involving Saturn and Pluto. The most positive thing I know to say about this cruel pair (Saturn and Pluto) is that they can signify an adept or a magician - and that's assuming either archetype has positive motivations.

So beware schemes of expansion in 2011. Whatever you have, perhaps you should be content to keep it. I will if you will.

Also of concern in the realm of politics is the upcoming opposition of Pluto to US natal Sun (the leader) - a few years off, yet part of Pluto's travails into Capricorn which will result in America's Pluto Return 27Cap33 before slow-moving Pluto enters Aquarius.

Pluto opposing US natal Sun is a five-fer which draws out the excruciating process:

5. November 1, 2015

Now as with all transits, there are several mitigating influences of positivity occurring simultaneously, yet Pluto is skulking in the background where he's hard to see much less anticipate or counter. He prefers an advantage however he can steal it.

Pluto opposite US natal Sun describes a major power play against the leadership of the US with a contest of wills in a no-compromise situation. Sinister manipulation is the order of the day (2014-2015 and beyond) and the possibilities for manifestation are endless. Yet we may be fairly certain that bruised egos will result and America's self-image as a world power will be seriously affected - unless we carry Pluto's water (which we already do as a global police force instituting the New World Order.)

Will a president attempt to stand up to this world domination agenda? No amount of ruthlessness on the part of our Sun will suffice for resources will be depleted and power in the world will be lessened. It's difficult to say just what may occur but abuse of power or its destruction are so often part of Pluto's motivation.

Interesting that America was billed in olden days by Sir Francis Bacon and others as The New Atlantis and as you know, the asteroid Atlantis is used in Mundane Astrology to represent, among other things, abuse of power and a feeling of doom. And nothing can change the fact that in 1776, Pluto was posited in Capricorn, a sign and archetype whose pan pipes even now seem to be wafting an orpheic tune upon the breeze as reap-what's-sown karma readies in the wings for a starring role on the world stage.

The fake news of Jon Stewart

Unless I misunder-remember, it was in 1999 that Jon Stewart took over hosting duties on The Daily Show which was already a favorite program at my house. Jon was familiar to us from his stints on M-TV and from his comedy routines so my daughter and I in particular were thrilled that he joined and subsequently turned the show into a fake news report each night. News anchor Stewart helps the American people deal with the madness and corruption of Washington politics, you know?

For in a town where the denizens are psychotically separated from the truth (and even when they know it, won't tell us), Jon's style of fake news is more honest and realistic than the false reality scenarios and propaganda Washington force feeds us.

Neptune/Chiron to US natal Moon = foreclosure fraud!

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) explains the current plague of foreclosure fraud now being perpetrated upon millions of Americans as banks without clear legal status are greedily taking away family homes across the nation by fudging papers and borrowers' signatures in order to begin the foreclosure process.

Nebulous Neptune's dissolution and loss along with Chiron's wounding quality are much in evidence here as our sense of rootlessness and homelessness continues. The despair this causes from being disenfranchised by the Pluto/Chiron banking class toward we-the-people must cease!

Libran New Moon over DC 10.7.10 (Oct-Nov 2010)

Today I'm looking at the horoscope of Thursday October 7, 2010's New Moon 14Lib24 which perfects over Washington DC at 2:44:25 pm edt (using Solar Fire software as always) and falls in the 9th house of that location.

Rising is one of the degrees of the Great Conjunction/s of the Illumination pair of energies, Uranus and Neptune: 19Cap44. At Midheaven, the Goal Point, is 12Sco49 with Venus 13:14 and Mars 15:33 in 10th house; it's an Hour of Venus so relationship and evaluation issues are indicated.

With Saturn 8Lib35 as chart-ruler and Mercury 7Lib25, both in 8th house of Shared Resources, Debt, Credit, Insurance, Big Business, Transformation, and the Occult, their conjunction of Oct 8, 2010 7:40 pm edt at 8Lib40 bosses around October 7's New Moon along with the lunation's ruler, Venus. The New Moon's 8th cusp 2Vir40 is ruled by Mercury which only applies to its conj with Saturn.

The Mercury/Saturn combo relates to caution or frustration during planning sessions, directness or forthrightness in a leader's reasoning, treaties that contain difficult compromises, impasses, delayed or hindered negotiations, and computer programming methods. Saturn makes no other applying aspects in the chart.

However, the 1993 conj of Uranus and Neptune rises which makes it angular (having an energy outlet in the chart) and something of a determinator as well. We may expect issues from 1993 to be on the menu for the next two weeks, or for four weeks, if you count the Full Moon of October 22, 2010 (@ 29Ari33, a critical degree) as the fulfillment phase for the seeds planted during Oct 7's New Moon in Libra.

Uranus/Neptune = ASC: enhanced concentration toward goals; views of others which are gained through insight or intuition; instability; hypersensitivity; anxieties; impressionability. (Ebertin; Munkasey.)

Michael Munkasey gives the Uranus/Neptune pair as 'changes in social and political structures due to new ideals and dreams of the future' (a NWO-totalitarian future, as the power elites would have it! jc); 'sudden upsurges in the availability of illegal drugs' (the better to weaken us with? jc); 'groups formed to exploit oil or chemical resources; subversion using a new method of acquiring information' (PROMIS tracking software? jc)

There is another prominent midpoint picture formed by the New Moon of Oct 7: its conjunction to US natal Saturn 14Lib48 (which was conjoined on 9/11/01 by transiting Mercury - the calls for a serious investigation of 9/11 and the unexplained collapse of WTC7 are getting louder...)

Sun/Moon = n Saturn: renunciation; separation; increased restrictions over progress; addressing problems; a weakened system.

America is in process of her Saturn Return so 'all things Saturn' (including accountability) are in the news and on the evolutionary calendar; the 'fall from grace' flavor of having Saturn in 10th house (US natal Sibly chart) seems to be fulfilling itself before our very eyes.

By now, you're reminded of the Middle East peace process and its elusive yet promised creation of a Palestinian state according to the international concensus. And since New Moons mark the start of new cycles of activity, perhaps Justice Elena Kagan's beginning work this week with SCOTUS is indicated as well since US natal Saturn relates to the Scales of Justice (Libra) and the law (Saturn); the Moon may always signify a woman and the people in a mundane astrology chart.

Astrology is all about levels upon which energy expresses, isn't it? And since many levels of Life express simultaneously, Astrology describes the complexity of it all for the astro-sleuths among us.

Looking Ahead

Also of consideration is Venus' Rx station on October 8, 2010 which begins her 40 days of re-evaluation and diplomatic reviews; plus, upcoming soon is November 9's 'mass destiny' pair of Pluto/North Node hooking up at 3Cap36 and joined by the Moon at 3:13 pm est which may describe extreme measures being taken and/or magnified ambitions.

Plus, the November 2 midterm elections fit snugly within the busy celestial calendar of the next few weeks and I hope all Americans who can will get out and vote.

Venus Rx, Venus Transits, and Rep. Alan Grayson (video)

Because I was unaware of the Dylan Ratigan Show, this April 2010 interview with Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) escaped my notice until today so I'm posting it here for my quick re-viewing of this info-packed 10:58-minute presentation. You might find it worth a peek, too, for its topics, and for Mr. Ratigan's style of information delivery which suits me well: his points are clearly presented and he doesn't yell at me.

My ears and sensibilities appreciate that.

You know that Rep. Grayson co-sponsored the Audit the Fed legislation (to nowhere) with Rep. Ron Paul (R?-Libertarianville) and the interview recorded with him here invites a listen or re-listen as planet Venus prepares to turn retrograde on Oct 8th (until Nov 18's Direct Station) which heralds a time of global emphasis on diplomacy and foreign policy - already begun; this is also a period when political situations are "particularly unstable and leaders are insecure and fallible." (Retrograde Planets, Erin Sullivan.)

Topplings could occur in the next few months but I don't care to speculate on the rest.

Yes, Venus' cycle of 40 days of retrogradation (Rx) is a key point in the evolution of the planet and its global population. We may expect a few conditions during Venus' current Rx/Shadow/Direct process (she passes shadow degree in December 2010 just prior the December 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse 29Gem21, a critical 29th degree which may have stock market implications) with issues from 8 years ago (2002) resurfacing or recurring for our revision, review, or renegotiation; the influence on world affairs of our relational/evaluational planet, Venus, has been observed through the centuries and faithfully recorded.

Concerning Venus, Erin Sullivan further states in her book (cited above), "The station retrograde begins a time of global review; the entire Earth experiences the retrograde phenomenon. We can see how it manifests in the collective by watching the news in regard to diplomatic and international relations. The reconsideration of what is diplomatic, and what is necessary to maintain a balanced world view and sense of integrity, is precisely what happens to an individual when Venus transits a sector of the natal chart."

And my populist, common good soul must add: bombing a country is not diplomacy. I'm lookin' at you, Pentagon. There are some actors on the world stage who don't care to entertain a 'balanced world view' as they have made abundantly clear. If 'world leaders' truly wanted world peace, they could have it for what population would disagree?

Yes, Lady Venus and her adherents can be vicious and vengeful when scorned, as we know from personal relationships; the planet's 8-year Rx cycle makes a five-pointed star pattern around the circle of the zodiac, which the shape of the Pentagon building mimics. The rose is the flower dearest to Venus, and the World Egg relates to Venus as well: the White House Rose Garden and the egg-shaped Oval Office come immediately to mind. And of course, planet Venus is implicated in the paradigm shift said to be peaking in 2012 (or in 2011 depending on what you read. A Global Consciousness Awakening certainly seems the least to be expected, though physical earth changes and an increase of natural disasters cannot be ruled out.)

Even the rare occurrence of a Venus Transit (Venus traveling across the face of the Sun and viewable from Earth) has indications according to Astrology: secretive hook-ups (associations) between unlikely allies begin; unusual arrangements are made. The last Venus Transit manifested during the G-20 Summit of June 2004 on Sea Island, Georgia, just down the trail from where I sit typing. So Venus and the Sun arose together that weekend...a Biggie. Their degree's Sabian Symbol?

Sun/Venus 17Gem53 = '18 Gemini' = "Two Chinese Men Speaking Chinese in a Western Crowd."

Marc Edmund Jones gives this word picture as having these potentials:

'positive expression: the effective mobilization of self and others for life's more specialized objectives;

neg/unconscious/shadow side: a thorough dissipation of self hood through alien relationships'.

Yes, establishing a one-world-government (after collapsing old global systems) would have to be considered a 'specialized objective'. Remember the photo of G-20's world leaders frolicking on a Sea Island beach in a happy row with the top buttons of their shirts open for the camera? Manly hair tumbled! Priceless cheesecake! But of a barfsome variety.

(As you know, 2004 was during Bush's big 'coalition' touting days; mid-August 2004 saw the strong parallel between the oppressive plutocrat duo, Pluto and Chiron, which bookended their Great Conjunction of Dec 30, 1999 @ '12Sag' = "A Flag Turned into an Eagle That Crows" which describes, among other things, "unsubstantiated claims". We've had plenty of those from our imperialist War Government, have we not?)

Yet since Venus during her 2004 Transit over the Sun is Rx and thus heading back toward the last degree she crossed or stimulated, there's '17Gem' = "The Head of a Youth Dissolved into That of a Mature Thinker" -

'pos: the effective orientation of self hood in an over-all vision' (yeah, that's what I fear, their vision of global government which stinks almost as badly as it su*ks - jc);

'neg/unconscious/shadow side: a defeat of accomplishment by a senseless clinging to the illusions of youth'.

Our Only Hope: Illusions Be Gone!

Banishing monsters is only successful if they've been honestly and properly identified and faced. For this purpose, the US had the transit of realistic Saturn to US natal Neptune (hopes; dreams; ideals) in August-September 2009, but unfortunately for our nation's future, the propagandists have done such an excellent job of addling the brains and minds of the American people through the decades that clinging to illusions concerning the true motives of the US government now lurk so deeply in the shadows of our collective unconscious that most Americans, kept busy working on or worrying about the material plane of existence whilst feeding their senses ad nauseum, have lost the ability to ask questions and demandingly follow through until answers are supplied by the ruling class and their operatives, the criminal perpetrators who disenfranchise us and the rest of the world, 24/7.

So you know the old saw about how Americans won't mess with the banking and corporate classes overmuch because each one of us in our heart of hearts harbors the American Dream that one day, in some far distant future, we too may join the Top 3% of income earners in this country?

Well, it should have been finally laid to rest during the engineered Financial Collapse of 2008 and beyond. And all this makes me wonder if any civilized American (for I believe there are a few around, they're just not working on Capitol Hill unless they're 'plants' or foils to play against for the cameras) - would honestly be able to perpetrate whatever is necessary to join with the wealthy power elite's 'win at any cost' game with its 'survival of the fittest' mentality (thanks, Darwin) and thereby run over and squash their neighbors and loved ones in order to act like the top dogs they secretly 'admire' and dream of emulating with secret Swiss bank accounts of their own.

But that's silly! Because to become one of them, we'd first have to admire the culprits, criminals, and assassins who make up the global crime syndicate now throttling the world's resources! Right?

APPROACHING COMET: Green comet 103P/Hartley 2 is approaching Earth for a close encounter on Oct 20th.

At that time, the comet will be only 11 million miles (0.12 AU) from our planet and should be dimly visible to the naked eye from dark sky sites. It already looks great through backyard telescopes, as shown by images featured on today's edition of SpaceWeather News.

NASA's Deep Impact/EPOXI spacecraft is en route to this comet for close-up studies and a daring flyby on Nov 4th.
