Capricorn season 2011? Pass the Twinkies! And explain the dead birds

Today I've pretty much been hibernating and reading, partly due to the snow and ice still on the lawn and bitter cold in the forecast, partly from recent shocking events which my natal Moon in Pisces often absorbs a little too deeply. Regular breaks from Politics are needed to maintain (or attain?) emotional health and sanity, as most people agree.

Yet I've not been wholly inactive and have spent some lovely time visiting CJ Wright's Auntie Moon blog where her wonderful post Tea Time: In the Brambles with Capricorn lists the perfect things to soothe the energies of Capricorn. Maybe my staid Capricorn Sun helps balance a sympathetic Pisces Moon for Saturn does rule boundaries, and sometimes barriers must be put up in order to counteract the craziness of Politics.

In her article, CJ lists foods and teas that are good for us during the wintry Capricorn season, not just for those with Cap's Saturnian energy prominent in their charts for everyone has the sign Capricorn somewhere in their horoscopes. Plus, the winter season makes for lots of Capricorn energy all around us so a steaming cup of Blackberry Tea (with a Twinkie on the side?) can't far go wrong.

(Now what does a Twinkie have to do with Capricorn? See CJ's article!)

Then, thanks to visiting Auntie Moon, I have discovered an informative page CJ links to with Moon Names listed for various cultures. Check it out for it's very interesting to compare lunation monikers around the world.

And if you wish to be updated on the recent mysterious bird and animal deaths, tune in to the Thom Hartmann Show tomorrow, January 12, 2011, for he just gave a topic shout-out to his next broadcast as today's program ended. I watch this excellent progressive show on Free Speech TV and LINK TV (DishNetwork satellite.)

Did you know that Senator Bernie Sanders is a guest on Thom's show on Fridays?

Okay, that's about it for now. Hope you're staying snug and keeping well this winter season - and be sure to feed your Capricorn to avoid its Saturnian grumpiness! Jude

Moment of Silence: Moon = AP at Ic of US natal chart

Thinking of Tucson as Left Blames Right, Right Blames Left

On C-SPAN just now, neoconner Bill Kristol just asked if Palin isn't responsible for the violence in Tucson on Saturday (better her blamed than him, I guess.) Now he's defending George Bush and the 'attacks' on Bush while he was president for "consciously" lying and getting people killed (in his wars - his, Cheney's, and Kristol's.) As if the whole thing weren't planned all along with ginned up intell and propaganda doing the trick to lie us into war again. One has to assume that war planners have to know that soldiers sent to fight will be maimed and killed.

Kristol is accepting questions now and he's certain to have some interesting views on such topics. He just compared Paul Krugman (who criticized Sarah Palin over Tucson which is what Kristol just did but more mildly) to Joseph McCarthy! The old McCarthyism propaganda!! Pardon me, I need another cup of tea just to listen to this dribble, with several inches of snow and ice outside and still falling which makes a cuppa a double necessity.

Makes me wonder who thought Bill Kristol was an appropriate guest for C-SPAN this morning on the topic of political hate speech leading to violence, no less. Perhaps at Kristol's level of power, he decided to do the show to fend off criticism of his father's neocon movement.

After the 11:00 am Moment of Silence at the White House and Capitol Building a few minutes ago, it seems of interest to me to provide you with a link to a post on the Tax Day Tea Party of April 15, 2009, the "New American Revolution" as bull's-eye-loving Dick Armey, Sarah Palin, and others so raucously term it.

After Saturday's shootings in Tucson, this particular peacenik's prayer is that the revolution hasn't begun violently - the pen really is mightier than the sword. Yet the revolutionary Uranus/Pluto square is approaching, after all in action-loving Cardinal signs (issuing from the Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Pluto in the mid-1960s @ '17Virgo', a critical/crisis degree, and a violent time in America - of anti-war protests, Civil Rights protests, and political assassinations by higher powers. You know: the higher powers the kid in Tucson took unfortunate action against in our propaganda-spouting government. 40 years on and you'd think we'd learn.)

Moment of Silence January 10, 2011 in Washington DC with Moon in Aries rising in DC (an Aries Moon is the significator of "I AM the people", as Moon in Aries Robespierre was fond of saying to justify his crimes - against the people of France); Moon at AP conjoins America's Ic (endings; the drain; the HOW? Point of any chart) in the Sibly version of the US natal horoscope, the degree of the June 8, 2010 Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus.

Jupiter/Uranus = Moon: prudence; far-sightedness. Plus, the image is of the Moon (we-the-people) at our lowest emotional ebb (Ic) today over violence (Mars rules Aries and guns.)

Yes, it seems an obvious and honorable thing to have a brief ceremony in Washington today in honor of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims yet I have to say it: seeing President Obama and the First Lady standing there in silence, heads lowered, cameras clicking away, looked and felt more like a photo op than anything else. Sorry. My big mouth.

And it remains to be seen how Saturday's tragedy in Tucson will lead to more security tightening in America when, imho, it's gun control laws that concern guns purchased with no background checks and guns with repeating rounds - pardon, but I don't know what they're called) that need improving along with the US government coming clean about its role in shoving the backs of the American people against the wall from where they know we'll eventually explode.

(The gun Loughner used in Tucson was purchased with an "instant background check", not that anything criminal would have shown up on him which points to our pathetic mental health system letting society down, another of my soap boxes of grumpiness.)

The GOP take-over or funding of certain Tea Party groups has shown how this dynamic can be ramped up while pretending to care about better governing. (I don't refer to Tea Party rank and file members - I mean manipulators like Mr. Koch, Mr. Armey, Mr. Beck, Mrs. Palin, and who knows who else.)

Perhaps you remember that Congress went into secret session in March 2008 to discuss their security needs and where they'd all hunker down when the depth of the financial crisis became clear which it did a few months later. (And they're acting similarly this week to discuss their own security concerns! Seems a given to me that "why do they hate us?" will be purposely misinterpreted after Tucson just as it was after 9/11/01 - in order to bolster the creation of a police state in America.)

The secret session was the meeting where all members' phones had to be surrendered at the door, and any details of the meeting's occurrence came to the public through Rep. Ron Paul who did not attend (congressional sessions are supposed to be public, not private. He said he'd attended such a meeting during his earlier days in Congress; the time of the chart you see below is from his remarks.)

Now perhaps you think Congress' rare closed-door session in 2008 can have nothing to do with our current tragedy and the steps our government will be taking in order to protect congressional members, staff, and other officials from public wrath as the US gov continues implementing globalist draconian policies meant to collapse this nation and our lives with it.

But I think it does.

If for no other reason than what Franklin Roosevelt so famously informed us: "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

You betcha!

March 13, 2008 Capitol Building 7:30 pm est; Hour Saturn (control; authority); Mc (The Goal) = '12Can' = "A Chinese Woman Nursing a Baby with a Message" (certainly our biggest creditor, China, had a message for Congress); Mystic Rectangle pattern includes: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Pluto, and Saturn; Moon (the public) is out-of-bounds as is Mars; Moon/Pluto = Sun: special far-reaching plans.

Now the Thom Hartmann Show is on TV and Thom reports that Tucson shooter Loughner may have had a link to 'the American Renaissance', a white supremacist, anti-government group. Perhaps he did - or is this planted info to deflect attention from neocon win-at-any-costers like Bill Kristol? Mr. Hartmann wouldn't do that, but right-wing political propagandists would.

So now The Right is putting out a message of "Democratic congresswoman shot...by a liberal"? Oops! Seems they may not have thought that one through very well and for better deflection from the consequences of their operatives' violent rhetoric, they may need to "reload".

Horror in Tucson, plus the Spring EQ 2011 Horoscope

Though we're now in the Winter Solstice 2010 season with its rare Lunar Eclipse (both at crisis or critical degrees which presaged Saturday's Horror in Tucson), recent events in the political realm such as the time and money wasting 112th Congress opening on January 5, 2011, the mystery of thousands of dead birds and other animals, Phosgene and the possibly related murder of bio-weapons expert John Wheeler, and yesterday's *vicious attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Judge John Roll, and several others in Tucson maimed and murdered, I feel inspired to look past winter toward Spring Equinox 2011 for perhaps a ray of light after winter's dark times.

Fox News abruptly cuts away from Tucson vigil after mourner mentions Sarah Palin describes the 112th Congress at its inception and the ugliness at its vitriolic, win-at-any-cost core. Having the right to own a gun in America gives no one the right to shoot people, even and including politicians. Ballots not bullets is a handy political slogan but using bullets if ballots don't work is incitement to violence and tells the American political tale as of yesterday, if it didn't before - deleted tweets notwithstanding.

Well, Spring as a season always engenders Hope springing eternal and a brighter day, so here you see its horoscope (click to enlarge) with a few basic details scribbled upon it:

Chart: Spring Equinox March 20, 2011 7:20:50 pm edt Washington, DC; Sun and Saturn exalted, and a 'Grand Cross' pattern (highlighted in red) including Mc/Ic angles, and if you prefer, dissociate with the Nodal axis in Sag/Gemini, plus, the Cardinal ASC, and Sun/Uranus at Descendant.

ASC 1Lib03 brings US natal Midheaven to the fore (from our nation's Sibly natal chart Mc 00Lib43) and makes evaluating Venus spring's chart-ruler, and Venus rules 1st and 9th houses; lower left, you see listed the two applying aspects of Venus (how things will proceed): trine Moon 5A00, then conjunct Neptune 7A06.

1. A Moon/Venus trine indicates optimism, harmony, and honorable intentions and perhaps will bring improvement to America's status in the world (natal Mc), something we sorely need. Careers of the populace may benefit as well so this gives some support to what economic talking heads are saying now: improvement in levels of hiring in 2011 (though many positions may be temporary or consulting - better than nuthin', right?)

Plus, the Sun enters Aries with progressive Uranus in close conjunction, the Sun's only planetary aspect, which signifies powerful, decisive actions yet with unpredictability, eccentricity, and possibly occultism involved at this, an Hour of Jupiter 12Ari27. Sun rules 11th house of Hopes, Wishes, Groups, and Associations.

However, '12Ari' is a crisis/critical degree with financial implications (moneybags Jupiter has his natural sign Sagittarius intercepted in 3rd house, and also rules mystic Pisces on the 6th cusp; Pisces is a military sign, 6th house is the realm of military and police services along with Work in general, and Health.) Disturbingly, Jupiter's Sabian Symbol for '12Ari' = "A Flock of Wild Geese" which may relate to the mystery of global bird and fish deaths; round up to '13Ari' and we get "A Failed Bomb Explosion" which may be literal, figurative, or both but a least it's "failed."

2. Chart-ruler Venus' other applying aspect is a dreamy, illusory conjunction with Neptune, bringer of inspiration and spirituality, but also of fraud, deception, disillusion, dissolution, and loss. Plus, negative escapism is one of Neptune's favorite of ways of (not) dealing with difficult issues and one thinks of the so-called 'drug wars' going on in Mexico and spilling into the US.

A Venus/Neptune conjunction brings more Pisces energy into the chart and at its best, indicates the highest form of spiritual love, healing ability, idealism, and a hypnotic power of attraction. Perhaps a new entertainer, film, artwork, or piece of music will capture the public imagination in a very big way this Spring, with vivid imagination and romance prominent. Yet there are indications with this aspect of impractical dreaming, deception, or of being a burden to others as well.

This conjunction may also indicate 'loss' (Neptune) of, by, or through a 'female' (Venus), and fraud involving smaller amounts of money may also be shown by this conjunction. Actually with Neptune's tiresomely long term conjunction to US natal Moon in Aquarius (we-the-people) - though not as close for Spring 2011 - we have a midpoint picture with US n Moon at apex...

Venus/Neptune = n Moon: being easily influenced or led by others; a dreamy nature; chaotic emotional lives; comforting those who delight in deceit; negative escapism (remember moderation, yall! jc); self-delusion; romantic notions; impracticality.

The Nodal axis lies near the Mc (SN)/Ic (NN) axis of Career and Home; with NN near Ic one hopes that homelessness in America is on someone's next-up agenda.

Disturbingly, powerful and sneaky Pluto is 'in the house' - the 4th house, the Basis of the Matter, and place of endings; Pluto is @ '8Cap' = "Birds in the House Singing Happily" which is perhaps another link to mysteriously dead birds; Pluto/NN opposes Mc so we have: Pluto/NN = Mc: one's future depends upon the actions of others; powerful associations which can cause career setbacks; learning and receiving assistance from important groups; associations with others are the sine qua non of success.

Destructuring and transformation of the Real Estate market is one implication of Pluto in 4th house with renovations and repairs indicated; our national who-owns-what-mortgages issues continue (Saturn Rx rules 4th cusp), and sad to say, plutonian spies may be afoot even more than before with high-level surveillance becoming more prominent in the news since Pluto also represents big publishers and the use of persuasive propaganda.

Now this is a Full Moon chart (Sun 197 degrees Moon) so something may have crescendoed or been fulfilled just prior to March 20 - the Sygyzy Moon (last lunation) is @ 28Vir48, here in 12th house of Karma, Politics, Large Institutions, and the Collective Unconscious. US natal Saturn 14Lib48 is the first US planet to rise in the chart which brings our exalted Libran Saturn and its Scales of Justice to the fore this spring.

Moon 17Lib26 is thankfully past depressive Saturn in 1st house and parallels Fixed Star Spica (potential for brilliance, but also The Spike) which hopefully shows more improvement in consumer confidence and our emotional state.

Yes, Saturn Rx in 1st house shows delays and loss yet Moon in 1st house is fortuitous - mixed portents. However, one of the bigger factors of note is the cyclic opposition between societal planets Jupiter and Saturn which influence the world's financial cycles. This pair's current cycle began on May 28, 2000 @ '23Tau' = " A Jewelry Shop Filled with Magnificent Gems", a hint of the many thieveries society has suffered since the New Millennium began....and we continue to suffer under complicit, enabling politicians who can't kowtow enough to Wall Street and the rest of the global crime syndicate of monarchs, Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and their minions.

Messenger, orator, and trader Mercury 18Ari17 in 7th house of Partnerships, Legal Affairs, and Open Enemies, is ready for action in Aries and parallel (like a strong conjunction) Fixed Star Altair, the Eagle, a star associated with US ambitions for imperialistic domination and surveillance. Mercury/Jupiter contacts tend to expand thinking and plans while broadening horizons. These are not especially practical plans, however, and their contact promotes idealism, over promising, and even zealotry.

As you see, the midpoint of the plutocracy pair, Pluto/Chiron, sits directly upon 5th cusp of Gambling and Risk-Taking, and upon US natal South Node, too. This indicates the US falling back on old behaviors (SN) of disenfranchising those who can least afford to be harmed by Pluto/Chiron's Oil Can Harry attitude and actions. One thinks of April 15th as Tax Day when, thanks to recent legislation, the poorest among us are to be the only ones who will not benefit from the President's extension of tax cuts. Some compromise that tilts the financial hourglass even more toward the upper crust.

Testosterone-driven Mars, god of war, is in 6th house and rules 7th and 8th houses; Mr. Contentious is in militaristic Pisces as American wars continue; health issues of our returning soldiers remain critical with sacred warrior Chiron also in sympathetic Pisces. A Mars/Neptune (Neptune bwo Pisces) connection may describe infections, epidemics, poisons, gas, and/or travel over water.

Debt (8th house) and imprisonment concerns continue with Mars affecting 12th house, the polarity of its placement in 6th house.

All in all, the chart has many planets (actors) in the northern hemisphere showing many private issues of note to be addressed for Spring 2011. Only two planets are in the public sector (Mercury and Jupiter), and most of the initiative belongs not to America but to others with only two planets (Saturn and the Moon) in the eastern half of the chart from which we will operate this spring. America's Saturn Return is in full swing with issues of authority, responsibility, accountability, lack, delay, and loss on the US menu.

To close, here is a round-up of five prominent midpoint pictures in the chart which will flavor Spring 2011; look to the house positions of the apex planets to see where the midpoint energies play out along with associated house rulerships; the Saturn/Uranus picture with apex Pluto has been in effect prior and returns for a replay of its difficult energies:

Sun/Saturn = Pluto: elimination of pessimism or despair; disciplined people who want and attract power; overwhelming rigidity and inflexibility; an increased will to retaliate against others for slights; illness inhibits development; pressure to change one's entire value system.

Saturn/Uranus = Pluto: upheaval to protect assets; rebellion; tremendous fear of loss; violence and brutality; harm through force majeure (war); a desire to overcome difficult situations through extraordinary efforts; concealing changes to activities; rigid inflexibility replaces adaptation.

(Note: both Sun/Saturn and Saturn/Uranus are quindecile - 165 degrees - an aspect of obsession-compulsion: Sun QD Saturn = obsessed with 'measuring up'; driven to prove oneself through ambition and accomplishment; can be cold and calculating; may assume authoritative role with others; can set goals and achieve them if focused. Saturn QD Uranus = driven toward breaking old, outdated concepts through use of innovative ideas; may disrupt governing systems; can break rules through defiance of law and order; benefit comes through societal changes for the betterment of mankind.) (The Quindecile, Ricki Reeves.)

Mars/Jupiter = Sun: leadership; success; organizational talent; love of enterprise; resolutions to correct past errors; legal or religious defenses; strong determination toward objectives.

Mars/Jupiter = Uranus: ability to find the best political approaches during times of unrest; abrupt uses of of social forces; studying people's motivations; urge for freedom and independence; ambition; making sudden decisions; unexpected events within partnerships or business; active resistance to tutelage or guardianship.

Jupiter/Neptune = Mars: speculation; unreliability; being let down by others; plans without prospect; defiant reactions toward explanations about delays, confusion, or laxity in meeting obligations; strong idealism; a need for practical focus; the courage to defend one's explanations of reality. #

Well, I cannot possibly cover everything in one post so your courteous, on-topic comments and opinions are much appreciated. And tomorrow I shall add a few more details on Spring EQ 2011 on my Jude's Threshold blog because I'm too wumped out by this post to do it now. jc

(All Midpoints: Ebertin; Munkasey; Tyl; as always, any, all, or none may apply and are subject to stimulation by transits and progressions.)

*One more word about the violence in Tucson and violence-touting political rhetoric in the US: to me it seems similar to what I've thought for years about the violent swill put into society by Hollywood studios and others: it isn't the normal among us most affected, for you and I can choose to watch horror, slasher, and other such films (and listen to violent rhetoric) till the cows come home and not act out in the least. It's what watching films or playing violent games does to the unbalanced among us who, often youthful, may view or listen thousands of times over until anti-social messages are drilled into their heads by people who chose to pander to the lowest common denominator in order to seek their fortunes.

Now I know the computer game industry has been used for years as a recruitment tool for the US military (a habit I decry) yet that and other 'entertainments' may also serve as violent stimuli toward action by the mentally and emotionally impaired among us. The 22-year-old shooter in Tucson seems at this early point to be a prime example of this sad dynamic. And the depleted state of the US mental health 'system' - seriously cut under the presidency of Ronald Reagan and others - is also at fault.

My sincere prayers are lifted up for Rep. Gifford's full recovery and for the other victims and their grieving families.

Meanwhile, some media types are high-mindedly calling once again for a time of soul-searching in America with which I agree. But imho, there are certain individuals in public life who need to search whatever consciences they may have, if they can find them, and perhaps reconsider and reign in their kingly, out-of-bounds political ambitions. Yet John Boehner's statement on the violence in Tucson sounded to me as if the GOP have no plans to back off their Machiavellian tactics after this next week when all votes in Congress are cancelled. But I do hope I'm wrong about that for the sake of America and for the future of America's children.

President Obama has called for a national Moment of Silence in honor and remembrance of Saturday's Tucson victims to be observed on Monday January 10, 2011 at 11:00 am est.

112th Congress = "Swords" vs "Torches"?

In his weekly radio address today President Obama has called for Republicans to stop their symbolic battles, battles which seem to this blogger to be meant in part as a salve to the Tea Partisans watching GOPers closely for backtracking on their promises to do things differently than Congress' previous sorriness.

And the millions of dollars that GOP 'symbolism' has cost the US taxpayer during only half a week of this session belies the Republican Party's whines over the national debt. Guess they think our bucks are worth their gamble and they (and Dems) certainly have much past experience with such cynical calculations.

Now if you, dear reader, are familiar with the Sabian Symbols for each degree of the zodiac (360 degrees), you know of one that's quite esoteric in its imagery and which may apply here, namely 'A Symbolical Battle Between the "Swords" and the "Torches".' (Rudhyar.)

Let's examine the meaning of this symbol to see if anything shakes out concerning the current Capitol Hill Political Theater the GOP has been making (what they hope is) political hay with.

Rudhyar's 'Keynote: Refusing to depend upon the past, the seeker turns warrior, fighting anew the eternal "Great War".' (A World War I reference. jc)

Now I won't quote all that Dane Rudhyar wrote about the degree - the Bodhi Tree and spiritual light vs ego-will (though ego-will and global-ruling ideology are the basis of GOP desperation to win back the White House) - however, his last words concerning '17Tau' may make some sense to us within the political realm of Washington and the 112th Congress' first week of symbolic mummery:

(This symbol) "suggests that salvation is attained through the emergent individual's readiness to face all issues as if there were only two opposed sides. So teaches the Bhagavad-Gita. This is the dharma of this stage of human evolution: a stage of POLARIZATION OF VALUES. (An Astrological Mandala.)

In his The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Marc Edmund Jones gives '17Tau' the Keyword: 'RESOLUTION...

positive expression: high organizational skill and an ability to bring the magic of understanding to any specific difficulty;

neg/unconscious/shadow side: a loss of self-competence through the conflicting compulsion of necessity and desire'.

(Blog note: though I seldom think to mention it, I am the very varmint who adds "unconscious/shadow side" to Jones' 'negative' expression of the symbols because it seems more descriptive. jc)

Perhaps Adriano Carelli has something to say about '17Tau' in his The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac:

"The vision St. Thomas of Aquino had while trying to fathom the mystery of God's unity and trinity; a child trying to drain the ocean with a pitcher."

Carelli's explanation of this symbol includes: "I do not need your advice, I can make mistakes myself!" And, in speaking of a native with this degree prominent, he states, "He is in for unceasing, often wasted labors which will not make him move a step forward. There is a guilty light-mindedness; the native will believe that he can solve single-handed and in his own way certain problems which impose on natural laws, as those of economics, dynamics and the like."

Hmmm. If we replace 'a child' with 'new congress member' and trying to drain the 'ocean' with the word, 'swamp' (which Washington DC is built upon), we may be on to something: new congress members wasting labor and believing they can single-handedly and in their own way drain the swamp of Washington, a campaign promise so old it's gray around the muzzle. And all they really have at their disposal is a pitcher!

For more details on the current state of our Congress, I looked at outer planet transits to the US Congress natal horoscope (Nov 17, 1800) and found that confusing, deceptive, delusional, fraudulent (though often inspired) Neptune is slightly more active than Uranus or Pluto at this time.

Neptune square (90 degrees = blockages; obstacles) natal Sun 25Sco: self-image is infused with disorientation, confusion, and a sense of unreality; it's hard to know how to satisfy one's ego demands or where to direct one's will power; positions of leadership, integrity, honesty, principles, and standards are difficult to sustain or attain; if determined and capable, one realizes that what seems to be reality actually is not (it's only Capitol Hill Theater, dahlink!)

Neptune opposite natal Saturn 24Leo: one's mature judgment, strength of authority, and hard work are threatened by illegal actions (like 2 Rs not taking their congressional oath because of attending their own fundraiser next door?), bankruptcy, fraud, deception, and unknown or disillusioned people (!); severe challenges test the ability or willingness to overcome obstacles, or to squelch inner fears; past traditions and structures become misguided, ambiguous, or subverted; previous responsibilities may disappear or dissolve with nothing good apt to take their place.

Neptune conjunct n Pluto 2Pis: power dissolves; treachery or poison can remove the current system of power and control; circumstances may allow the rise of those with religious, psychic, or spiritualist powers (who are not witches, one presumes.)

The only major aspect of Uranus now to Congress' natal chart is its coming opposition to its natal position: Congress will have a midlife crisis all through 2011 (March, November, and December)! This Uranus/Uranus opposition last occurred about 84 years ago: in April 1927, October 1927, and February 1928. The inflationary economics of the late 1920s seem all too familiar, don't they?

Uranus opposite n Uranus 00Lib47 (conjunct US n MC in the Sibly chart): generations clash; oldsters feel outdated by a wave of newcomers (awww!) and there's an unwillingness to give up the unique qualities of one's generation (age group); little meeting of the minds takes place.

(Plus, transiting Jupiter to Aries Point has and will oppose n Uranus, a time of cat-herding when everyone tends to wander off in their own directions so that organizing and scheduling group activities is made difficult; Jupiter increases the effects of Congress' Uranus opposition and its crisis implications.)

Pluto inconjunct n Jupiter 4Leo: significant adjustments are necessary to justify one's knowledge and ideals; feeling overwhelmed about social responsibilities; opportunism; a need to yield to real tasks and be constructive; others may victimize in order to serve their own interests; motives may be murky and there's a requirement to understand one's surroundings more fully.

Pluto square n Uranus: political and intellectual changes occur that benefit a new generation, and questioning their historical implications is appropriate.

Such is the condition of the 112th Congress as seen through an astrological lens....as interpreted by this particular blogging gnat of an American. Your on-topic comments and opinions are cordially invited.

Here's Jon Stewart's hilarious take on recent FaceBook developments. Personally I had already decided to 'unFriend' FB, too, ever since the news broke of Goldman-Sachs and RUSSIA sticking their camel noses under the FB tent.

It's only a matter of time before I leave FB, so if you want to check out my pages/wall/photos/artwork/astrology, whatever, I suggest you do it very soon! (See sidebar for link: 'Facebook? Really?' from which, perhaps, you can tell I had serious reservations about joining FB from the get-go. My misgivings are now confirmed.)

Of course, my dilemma is: will closing my FB account leave a sticky residue as experienced when I left MySpace a few years ago? Or will it be a clean break?

I suspect shenanigans will be afoot, don't you?

Matt Taibbi on corporate shill John Boehner

Whether you expect major improvements under the House leadership of John Boehner or not, you don't want to miss Matt Taibbi's current piece in Rolling Stone, The Crying Shame of John Boehner!

At least someone in America still engages in what was once called 'journalism'.

And Mr. Boehner's oft-remarked-upon tendency to well up with tears? Sentimental, self-pitying perhaps, with a possible Moon/Neptune conjunction (their orb is speculative since his precise birth hour is unknown) but check out a few notes on Boehner's natal chart placements, as you wish.

Surveillance camera video of John Wheeler

John Wheeler shortly before his death.

More on John Wheeler murder, dead birds, and Phosgene

What Does It Mean? has information on the recent murder of John Wheeler with details on the Air Force base in Arkansas from which deadly Phosgene was being transported and used in devilish experiments in Arkansas where the first reports came about mysteriously dead red wing blackbirds.

Area residents have experienced hundreds of minor earthquakes possibly due to the US military's actions with Phosgene, and of course, many people think the dead birds falling from the sky (there and elsewhere, plus fish and crab kills, etc) are related to the US government's current use of this chemical agent which was found in Iraq under Bush-Cheney. Guess they had to put it somewhere and they chose beautiful Arkansas.

Now many people are noticing that the mainstream media in the US has very little to say about the assassination of John Wheeler and the implications against the Pentagon and the White House. Therefore, I will be keeping it in SO'W's posting queue as best as I can as details come out in alternative media, if nowhere else.

In fact, this morning I have come in contact with a fuller timeline of Wheeler's last days than I had yesterday and will be setting up new horoscopes of Mr. Wheeler's activities in order to use Solar Fire's animated chart feature to watch planets rise, set, culminate, and form aspects in case something of interest pops out. If they do, you will be updated.

But for now, you're invited to see my preliminary details on the Astrology of John P. Wheeler's Murder. It's mysterious, it's heinous, it has grave repercussions for the Pentagon, White House, and Congress, and it falls under the category of Forensic Astrology which I'd work with 90% of the time if I could.
