Before Winter Solstice on Thursday December 22, 2011, when the Sun reaches 00 degrees Capricorn, ancient sign of The Mer Goat, there occurs a Lunar Eclipse on December 10, 2011 @ 18Gem11 (horoscope shown.)

By December 22, the Moon will be in Scorpio and approaching its Inaugural 2009 crisis degree of 29Sco45--our financial troubles continue. Here you see the Winter Solstice Moon in 2nd house in the chart set for the White House (fluctuations in finances), and with the Jupiter/Saturn opposition poised upon the 2/8 money axis, we may expect Capitol Hill's ideology-driven expansion v restriction/generosity v austerity arguments to continue during winter season 2011/2012 as certain entities work to dismantle America, and politicians pretend they're unaware of this long term, traitorous project.

As you see (click chart to enlarge), the November 25, 2011 Solar Eclipse @ 2Sag25 sits upon Winter Solstice 2011's 3rd cusp of Communications in DC--this 'peculiar turn of events' eclipse timed the 'Super Committee' which "failed" as most people expected it would. Personally, I think it did what the powers-that-be wanted it to do but that topic is beyond the scope of this post but one reason I say this is that setting up a 'Super Congress' undermined the US Congress and its oversight function.

Stumbling Beyond December 16, 2011

Between December 10 and 22, lies December 16, 2011, when another Capitol Hill government shutdown reality show potentially looms for public appreciation (and meant to weaken the US government further.)

Then today, President Obama speaks in Kansas in an attempt to echo a famous and important speech delivered by Teddy Roosevelt. But as you know, present presidents courting comparisons with past presidents is always an iffy political risk!



Horoscope shown: Winter Solstice December 22, 2011 12:30 am est White House, Washington DC; it's an Hour of feisty Mars at crisis degree (17Vir) and working busily in the 12th house of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, and Large Institutions.

This may describe President Obama's health care legislation (Virgo) as a continuing target of his martian opponents on either side of the aisle.

No planets are out-of-bounds so all actors (planets) are on the earthly plane and participating in their various ways; it's a Balsamic phase of the Moon (326:01) when things can go bump in the night and often do. It's possible that a hidden Mars in 12th H is up to no good in the house of Politics.

However, Mercury makes no aspects at all to any planets in the chart so its position in one of its natural houses (3rd) emphasizes mercurial pursuits such as messages, speeches, and transport, along with its sign placement--here, in Detriment in expansive, broad-viewing Sagittarius. Hopefully, our soldiers will return from abroad as safely as possible.

The presence of America's natal Saturn 14Lib48 and Neptune 22Vir25 (conjunct President Obama's natal Mars) snugged around the Solstice 2011 ASC gives a midpoint picture of some concern: Sat/Nep = ASC: limitation of freedom; oppressive circumstances; depression.

Chart-ruler Venus 1AQ48 is in 4th H (Real Estate; the Homeland; Environment; 4/10 is the Security/Career axis) conjunct Fixed Star Altair (the Eagle--the Sun rises with Altair at this time of year) and near US Inaugural Sun 00AQ+--the president.

The midpoint of the Robber Baron planets, Neptune and Pluto, conjoins and veils Venus and the president along with the plutocrats' midpoint, Pluto/Chiron @ 4AQ14. Venus rules 1st H and 8th H of Shared Resources, Debt, Credit, and Taxes, and rules Jupiter Rx, here at a degree of violence--Hitler's 'trigger degree' (his natal Sun.)

Then Jupiter's Direct Station occurs on Christmas Day 2011...will holiday consumer sales pull a large enough rabbit out of America's financial hat?

For a clue about how things will proceed in America from Winter Solstice 2011, we look to any applying aspects of chart-ruler Venus:

1. Venus sesquisquare Mars (0A34; 135 degr, a complex, interlaced square--octile = 8) indicates intense, dynamic interaction between them--between the White House and activist Mars, frustrated in Virgo, and active in the Behind-the-Scenes 12th H.

On one level, the Pentagon and US military are described here by warring Mars in the house of Large Institutions; protesters such as those in the Occupy DC movement may also be denoted and show the complex relationship between the democratic forces of the 99% Movement and the president's political considerations and limitations; secret enemies are also indicated by a 12th H Mars; along with equipment breakdowns.

The Venus/Mars aspect shows that concessions are expected by and from both sides and clever tactics will be used to have one's way; provocation in order to blame others for problems will continue to be part of the tiresome Capitol Hill Theater presentations which supposedly pass for congressional action these days. Simultaneoulsy, America's fabled invisible/secret government is rising (US Sat/Nep = ASC; Saturn = government; Neptune = secret/invisible.)

2. The only other applying aspect made by Venus is a trine (2A57) to the Ascendant 4Lib45 which shows harmony between Venus (and the president) with our secret government entities (US Saturn/Neptune = ASC.)

Plus, wealthy Pluto 6Cap58, planet of secret manipulation, sabotage, foreign bankers and cabalists is at the Foundation of the Solstice 2011 horoscope--it's the closest planet to an angle, in fact, and thus prominent. Pluto's transformation and destructuring of our country continues to undergird the basic problems we face with Mars and Pluto ruling 2nd H of Values and Earning Ability bwo Scorpio on 2nd cusp; the plutonian EU debt crisis affects America's bottom line (4th H) and the world's hopes for recovery.

(This Pluto action opposing US natal Jupiter 5Can56--here, at MC--may indicate a cutting of war costs but so far I've not taken seriously the proposed scaling back of US war expenses by war profiteers who control our government from the Pentagon but are puppeteered from central banks such as the Bank of England. It puts the stand-off between transiting Pluto in Capricorn on display at MC through US natal Jupiter with its power struggle indications and lack of financial progress as bossy 'Mr. Hades', god of the Underworld of Crime stands in the way of our financial success.)


What's Rising in First House? And Where Is Fraudulent Neptune?

Saturn in 1st H (plus, US natal Saturn rising) shows limiting, inhibiting conditions and many delays with a potential for losses; since Saturn here is ruled by Venus, issues of deflation/inflation/stagnation are on our 2011/2012 menu. Plus, as you see, nebulous Neptune remains within orb of US natal Moon with its sense of rootlessness, foreclosure and homeless conditions, and Fraud to The People. Floods, other natural disasters, and water-gas-oil-related matters remain potentials as well.

(Note: Saturn's link to loss is karmic but is only for gains that were garnered through fraudulent means or too-easy efforts such as lucky Jupiter usually brings. Those who honor Saturn's lessons of responsible actions, accountability, honesty, conservation, and caution are usually spared the worst of Saturn's restrictions.)

However, in spite of it all, the star of our Solstice Show, Sun 00Cap00:00, trines fortunate Jupiter, an aspect which may aid matters since such enthusiasm, optimism, and confidence can lead to breakthroughs of good fortune. And everyone knows that the NYSE depends on confidence! However, a Sun/Jupiter trine doesn't seek challenges and may even be lazy yet this energy can provide a boost to those who do seek or work with challenges and may harmoniously improve relationships--and the 1st house Saturn, exalted and strong in Libra, may provide strength for this easy (lazy!) aspect to manifest improvements especially in the action-oriented Cardinal signs of Capricorn and Taurus.

Interestingly, a more wavering Water Sun/Jupiter trine appears in the natal horoscope of 2012 Republican candidate Mitt Romney (Scorpio/Pisces.) Here's what I previously wrote about this don't-challenge-me aspect in Romney's natal chart:

"Wealth indicator, the Sun/Jupiter trine, helps with public relations as well for optimism always 'sells' in America yet the aspect indicates a certain apathy with a desire for only moderate demands to be made upon his time and freedom. Can a White House schedule provide him this?"

Uranus square Pluto's Upheaval Potential Upped by Sun/Uranus

Obviously, the energies of the Sun/Uranus square at Cardinal Points of world manifestation tell a tale of self-willedness, eccentricity, authority issues, and perhaps unprincipled behavior; plus, a strong desire for power is noted--and a Sun/Uranus square is also found in the natal horoscope of Mitt Romney!

Dynamic Planetary Patterns

A major T-Square is set up between societal planets Jupiter and Saturn which points to evaluating Venus (and the presidential Sun) which creates the following midpoint pictures--all, any, or none of these potentials may apply:

Jupiter/Saturn = Venus: discontent; a lack of endurance or tenaciousness (an accusation already heard concerning Obama's lackadaisical 'advocacy' on behalf of America's Middle and Working classes--jc); changing fortunes; a touch of reserve (the Fed? jc); jealousy due to social recognition given to others. Now who do we know that could be jealous of a Democratic presidency? ;p


A second T-Square is visible between Pluto @ IC, MC (conj US n Jupiter), and ASC:

Pluto/MC = ASC: procuring an important position of recognition no matter the conditions; a person of fame.

Substitute US n Jupiter for MC and we have Big Banking boiling on the hob:

Jupiter/Pluto = ASC: far-sightedness; prudence (in DC?!! jc); organizing talent; a desire for power; personal advancement; focusing on how to use and discard other people; added self-importance; ego definition; reading the intentions of others especially if they seek power.

Well, I for one, am an American who does not 'seek power' so if politicians want to 'read my intentions' they have only to consider that America is my only nag in the race--a race that many actors in Washington are determined to handicap until our nation, government, and social safety net are dismantled and we cry out in unison for a 'New World Order' of totalitarianism and feudalism.

The last planetary pattern is a 'Grand Cross' marked by dotted lines--I've placed it in brackets because it only contains two planets with two chart angles at which to manifest--between Sun, Uranus, ASC, and MC. Even if we don't wish to call this a Grand Cross, the pattern sets up several midpoint pictures with which I shall close this post:

Sun/MC = Uranus: revolutionaries, rebels, anarchists; a sudden change of objectives; inner conflicts; on-the-job training.

Pluto/MC = Uranus: indefatigability; endurance; a sudden attainment of aims with irresistible power; unexpected occupational changes (Occupiers? jc)

Sun/MC = ASC: increased need for honesty about how to help the lives of others; associations.

Sun/US n Jupiter = Uranus: speculation; gambling; a sudden turn or success.

Sun/US n Jupiter = ASC: devotion to social aspirations; shared success; meetings.

And the transiting midpoint of Jupiter and Neptune (speculators, wastrels, grand schemers), the planetary duo describing the Obama administration due to their Great Conjunctions all through 2009 which conjoined US natal Moon in Aquarius--continues to point to Uranus at Aries Point ('Utopians'--Ebertin) so I'll add the mdpt picture one more time...

Jupiter/Neptune = Uranus: imagination v reality; sudden recognition of a difficult situation; coming down to earth with a bump.

And that bump may occur during the Moon's darkened Balsamic phase here denoted in the Horoscope of Winter Solstice 2011. Considering the rampant fraud in Washington DC, on Wall Street, and elsewhere, can new scandals and leaks be very far behind?

Today, as Occupiers zero in on Washington DC--where 'The People's House', the White House (actually a Masonic White Lodge but who's quibbling?)--is located, Sun is in questing Sagittarius, and Moon is in Aries, a position I've referred to on this blog as the "I AM The People" Moon placement because revolutionary leader *Robespierre tended to pontificate such malarkey about himself and his Aries Moon as part of a justification for imprisoning and guillotining The People of France during The Reign of Terror (1790s.)

However! When you have thousands of Americans on behalf of the 99% of us petitioning what was once our government as Occupiers now do, it's okay by me to say, "I AM The People" when the Occupying Moon is in Mars-ruled Aries!

Sun Sag-Moon Aries is a volatile and dramatic Fire-Fire blend giving today's energies a boost of passion through expression of deeply held beliefs. The combo may show such an abundance of enthusiasm that others may be disregarded or scattered in the process.

As you know, Sagittarius is ruled by expansive Jupiter so there's a me-only Sun/Jupiter link which on its highest level works on behalf of The Collective and can easily see the broader picture. Meanwhile, Moon in me-first Aries may narrow the view of the many to a level of self-interest. Yet this also is okay by me since our politicians haven't been serving We The People for decades but have kowtowed and sold us out to so-called 'special interests' which, really, aren't so much special as extremely selfish and exclusive.

And so We The People stand up for ourselves at last!

Sun Sag/Moon Aries adds an undertone of impatience to today's events in the US and in top regions in the news today such as Russia and Europe. Impatience may be shown on the protesters' side and/or on the police's side (which includes the politicians' side, if you can figure out where that currently shifts--with the 1%, it seems.)

Yes, stand-offs tend to occur as immutable forces are demonstrated cantankerously on all sides of the issues and with Jupiter (growth; abundance) in stand-off (opposition) with contracting, restrictive Saturn these days, we feel the non-compromising energy all around and within us. Nations and leaders are no exceptions.

So today with Sun in Sag/Moon in Aries, we may expect subjective intuition to replace objective reasoning--on all sides. This blend prefers that the world come to it rather than the other way around. Well, various Occupier organizations are coming to DC! And Germany's Angela Merkel and France's Nicholas Sarkozy (aka, 'Merkozy') will attend the EU Summit in bossy Brussels this Friday--two Mohammeds come to The Mountain!

One year of austerity measures enacted in Britain has only contracted the UK economy as foretold and pushed Brits into the streets en masse. The UK government's social experiment has brought no real improvement to economic and social conditions across the pond and a worsening is apparent. Can Washington take a hint? Yes--except for political flies in the ointment who want a different course for the American people that follows the UK's example.

If you feel yourself drifting toward voting Republican on November 6, 2012, please read Robert Reich on The Rebirth of Social Darwinism before you leave the house.

For if you've paid attention to the never-ending Republican 'debates', their views mimic "survival of the fittest" ideals, a fact that amazes me for some of them seem to profess a Christian belief system--and Social Darwinism is hardly what an honest person would choose to promote Christian values such as being one's brother's keeper with Charity as a virtue to which we should all aspire.

What kind of America do We The People want?

Well, the Golden Rule is honored in these parts though it's become quite old-fashioned in Washington DC--certainly on Capitol Hill. Do Unto Others As You'd Have Them Do Unto You? Then voting for a ragmop as long as it isn't Republican will be preferable to voting for those who take an oath higher than their oath to the US Constitution and ignore their vow to serve the populace. Being voted out of power would be suitable for all underminers of America who wish to shove your Granny out on the sidewalk--that's one way to identify them and their true intentions.

What you do with and for Granny is totally up to you once she's evicted with her benefits cut. Plus, you'll be fighting to merely survive yourself in a GOP-infused America which is determined with its drastic austerity measures (and gifts to the wealthy) to mire the American people in their old Robber Baron dream from the late 1880s and 90s.

Election 2012 looms large. Capitol Hill catcalls that "Politics is broken" simply isn't an acceptable excuse after all our forefathers did and sacrificed to set up this nation.

Yet America would benefit most from new and improved Politics so let's Occupy Everywhere!

Well, the timing must not be quite right for total global financial collapse with
stocks rallying today as six central banks move to ease the EU financial crisis so we know that someone is making money, don't we?

Of course, there may be another explanation for why central banks acted now--did a large European bank come close to failing last night?

A la the Bible, maybe it's finally time for Steve Keen's idea of declaring a
debt jubilee to offset the trillions of dollars the central banks stole from the people--and jubilee into oblivion the House of Rothschild's ill-gained profits!

Yes, his poll numbers are up and endorsements pour in for Republican candidate Newt Gingrich with his high-flying Sun Gemini/Moon Sagittarius personality blend. Herman Cain's romantic yet secretive nature and Rick Perry's constant flubbability are aiding Mr. Gingrich with fellow Republicans desperate for a viable horse to bet on in 2012.

After all, he does have foreign policy experience more than most.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, as I enjoyed a slice of pumpkin pie with family, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange accepted a major Australian award, the Walkley Award, for "Outstanding Contribution to Journalism.

The Walkley Award is equivalent to the Pulitzer Prize in America, and to this common gooder who'd like America to act more uprightly than the imperial dictatorship our government has become, Mr. Assange deserved a prize for revealing us to ourselves in spite of 24/7 government propaganda. It must be obvious to a majority of Americans circa 2011 that "exporting" our brand of "democracy" is a sham with tragic consequences, not the least of which is the bankrupting of the United States and the dissolution of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, an ongoing project for self-serving oligarchs, plutocrats, and despots who have Global Governance on their reptilian minds.

As you know, in 2011 many uprisings of The People have gone viral across the globe at the opposition phase of the Jupiter/Saturn cycle which began with their conjunction on May 28, 2000. Its Sabian Symbol pertains to the bankster/Wall Street/mortgage frauds that crashed the US and world economies in 2007/08:

Jupiter/Saturn @23 Taurus = "A Jewelry Shop Filled with the Most Magnificent Gems."

Well, you've noticed that most of those 'gems' are now in someone else's coffers and not ours as trillions of dollars and mounds of gold were spirited out of the US through corporate bailouts and sent to foreign entities in similar fashion as was done in WWII to fund Hitler's war efforts and to boost the wealth of the House of Rothschild and its agents, many of whom were--and are--Washington DC officials (officials in theory if not in practice--not playing on our team.)

The '23Tau' symbol's association with wealth and thievery--and in America's case, with extreme income inequality--implies that its forward trajectory at opposition 2011 relates directly to the We Are The 99% Movement, or Occupy Wall Street, if you prefer, and to global uprisings of the fed-up.

Taurus is a practical, often materialistic earth sign with greed, possessiveness, and intolerance the shadow aide of this money sign; environmental issues apply as well to Taurus, sign of the Gardener, the Architect, and the Bull--and bullishness--of Wall Street.

We might even take the economic view that today's financial problems and the deleveraging being perpetrated against the populace is described by Saturnian demand being lower than Jupiter's supply. However, Jupiter now retrograde will eventually turn direct and move forward through the 30 degrees of Taurus and into lighter, Airy Gemini (communications) while Saturn's predictable entry into the sign of Big Business--the weighty Mars-Pluto-ruled Scorpio--is an entire post for another day. Jupiter Opposite Saturn, the Halfway Mark in Their 20-Year Cycle

Now what of the opposition phase between our two societal planets, Jupiter (expansion; growth; generosity) and Saturn (contraction; restriction; austerity)?

Oppositions between any planets are awareness-relationship aspects of culmination or fulfillment, and the May 2000 conjunction heralded the New Millennium, the Bush-Cheney coup of the presidency, and the attacks of 9/11 which have made thievery, coups/topplings, and bankruptcy much easier for globalists to accomplish along with changing America almost beyond recognition. The US Congress has purposefully added to its own toothlessness by traitorous actions of may kinds, and by negating its constitutionally granted oversight function.

Now in the Jupiter-Saturn cycle, the first ten years (ex: 2000-2010) are intense and describe a sort of winding up that peaks at opposition. The last ten years
(2010-2020) indicate a winding down of this intensity, and to a slowing of the pace and overall direction so visible in the earlier stages.

The current opposition is also a transit of Jupiter opposing US natal Saturn 14Lib48, a time when progress and growth are blocked or restricted; promising situations may tempt us to circumvent rules and regulations but this is ill-advised. Hold on to what you've got is the usual advice for this transit and that's just what we're seeing from the wealthiest members of the 1% as they try to hold on to what they've got without contributing to society--even if it's ill-gotten gains that rightly belong to others.

With the fed-up flavor of the Occupy Movement (and movements elsewhere but this blog is mainly about American vermin and DC politics), we're seeing a Jupiter-Saturn opposition tendency toward exhaustion since the rapidity of expansion has been so quick-paced that it's impossible to sustain--we now have a need to assimilate and reflect upon these financial and societal issues, a need that 2011's uprisings are facilitating on behalf of the collective good.

Given the post-traumatic stress syndrome caused by 9/11 and its handmaiden, Financial Collapse 2008, we now deal at the opposition with the Taurean realms of luxury, comfort, and security as the 99% demand fairness from the greedy 1%.

The Jupiter-Saturn combo of energies may also refer to diplomacy, perseverance, discontent, tenacious pursuit of plans, philosophical thinking, unsettled lives full of many changes, emotional tension, attainment of far-reaching objectives, a 'making it happen' strategy; industry, law professors, clergymen, civil servants, politicians, and government officials of the administration. And Michael Munkasey gives Jupiter-Saturn potentials in Business and Politics as: checks and balances; changes in government, religious, and social orders; repression based on morality instituted by law or religion; too many restrictions on the operation of justice (ex: Wall Street CEOs not held accountable for crimes--jc); a judicial system at its breaking point (yep---jc); leniency and harshness vie for balance within the overall social and economic systems.

Yes, fatigue from war and want are certain to ramp up as calls for improvement in the global economy continue during the next ten years until the Jupiter-Saturn cycle begins again @ 00AQ29 on December 21, 2020, a key year in American and World history. The 2020 Great Conjunction perfects only once--in Air and conjoining the US Inaugural Sun of January 20th, assuming that America still elects presidents by then (it's not for certain.)

So let's stop discussing political turkeys for now and close with the midpoint picture created in 2020 by the planetary synchronicity of the transiting Jupiter-Saturn midpoint which directly affects the US presidency (Sun @ 00AQ+ since FDR's 1937 inauguration when the switch was made); any, all, or none may apply...

Jupiter-Saturn = Sun (the leader): inconstancy; gaining experience; changes of residence; feeling that you can positively influence social change; boasting a lot; increased self-pride and greater ability to demonstrate positive leadership before others; dreaming of the potential for actuality (of a NWO? jc); taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan, or, if nothing is prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things.

Here you see a horoscope for the time (4:45 pm est), date (July 28, 1932), and location (Anacostia, near District of Columbia) that the Bonus Army of our nation's unpaid WWI veterans and their families, who'd marched on Washington to demand that their bonuses be paid, was charged by Major General Douglas MacArthur leading infantry, cavalry, and six battle tanks commanded by Major George S. Patton.

Yes, it's our two main American heroes active at a 1% v 99%-style stand-off in the olden days of 1932, with the military and police forces doing the dirty work of a resentful, crisis-ridden White House administration that went on to lose its next bid for the Oval Office to Democrat Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The violent behavior of the US government toward American citizens who were free to dissent and were feeling betrayed financially after risking their lives in service to our country--and were hungry, as were their wives and children--is all too similar to the police brutality being used these days since the Occupy Wall Street, or 99% Movement, began on September 17, 2011...brutality used on peaceful demonstrators who want We the People's grievances redressed.

How positively unAmerican of the US government, then and now!

Bonus Army Charged by MacArthur @ 4:45 pm est July 28, 1932 Anacostia, District of Columbia; Hour of the Sun; Moon (the people) and Mars (police; military; males between ages of 25--35 appr) are out-of-bounds and performing unusual feats--Moon OOBs indicates a populace feeling unstable, disregarded, and unfed due to being unpaid though granted the privilege by congressional action for their WWI service.

This horoscope shows Sun and Moon in 3rd quarter phase (crisis in consciousness); Neptune in Virgo--as is US natal Neptune--is in detriment in Virgo since opposite is Pisces, co-ruled by opaque, misty, diffusing, confusing, often deceptive Neptune. The Neptunian tactic of fraud comes to mind, then as well as now; Sun conjoins America's natal North Node 5Leo+ which emphasizes the importance of the president's destiny which he could've handled very differently than by attacking US citizens.


Two primary chart factors I'm focusing on today:

1. a crisis-ridden, turning-point heralding YOD pattern--a sextile (60 degr) between Mercury and Venus 00Can06, a World point of Manifestation, at its base and pointing toward the man in charge, Saturn @1AQ06 Rx. Saturn at apex of a YOD configuration has a karmic (reap what was sown) flavor and is discussed just below.

As you see, Venus began the day at a crisis 29th degr of Gemini and denotes 'relationships, values, evaluations, smaller amounts of money'--Gemini is the sign of duplicity (ex: vets' betrayal by their government and military), and Mercury, planet of messages (their March on Washington and subsequent encampments delivered it) and young people (the families accompanying the vets, and the press that reported events in some sort of fashion to suit the plutocrats in charge.)

Of interest may be the midpoint picture formed by the three planets involved in the July 28, 1932 YOD pattern--on its own, the 'Mercury/Venus' combo indicates 'a business sector at odds with society, and/or, speeches that emphasize economic facts' (Munkasey.)

Saturn Rx shows delay, indecision, inhibitions, loss, restriction, control, oppression, authority, management...but also 'rewards for long term efforts'...which eventually occurred when Congress overrode FDR's veto and voted them their monies in 1936 long after one-term Herbert Hoover had moved on down the line, his once-stellar reputation sullied...

Mercury/Venus = Saturn: thoroughness; a serious attitude; deep meditation. (Ebertin; Munkasey.)

Apex Saturn in a YOD formation shows one (or those) who should not use force unwisely, yet as we know, this Saturnian caution was not heeded by Hoover, hence the fated or karmic undertone in the chart. "This is a testing YOD," says Saturn the lesson-bringer, and timing is all important to outcomes since fated consequences are described. Frustration (another of Saturn's favorite words) and a sense of failure may accompany this YOD if its energies are not properly (Saturn, says!) expressed.

If you've seen the Occupy Wall Street natal horoscope for September 17, 2011, sunrise, you'll see Saturn 17Lib01 which conjoins the Bonus Army's Midheaven, The Goal Point of any chart. Speaking truth--Saturn--to Authority--also Saturn. And of course, all these Saturnian issues are presenting themselves underneath the auspices of our recent US Saturn Return to 14Lib48 when our nation's responsibility-accountability chickens come home to roost.

This apex Saturn demands attention to social responsibilities, focused and purposeful activity, and heralds a new path that has serious implications (Dynamics of Aspect Analysis, Bil Tierney.) Yet a tendency toward self-preservation seems to have been the primary concern of the US government.

Another link to the OWS natal chart is that its Sun/Moon midpoint at sunrise falls at 21Can47 which conjoins 1932's Pluto 22Can05; other links may be noted if you'll check it out for yourself! This Pluto is lining up to oppose US natal Pluto 27Cap33 Rx, a time when great powers are locked in massive battles for control, a background influence that undergirds the whole shebang.

There's also a titanic generational clash recurring in 2011:

Uranus/Pluto square from Aries to Cancer, whereas now the revolutionary pair of Uranus/Pluto square each other from Aries to Capricorn with the square's difficult, frustrating energies expressing in 2011 with similar themes of revolt, jarring societal changes, upheavals, and riots; the Cancer/Capricorn axis is emphasized, then and now--through the polarity of security/nurturance v career/authority.)

2. the military assault on the Bonus Army occurred during a 6 North Saros Series Solar Eclipse which had manifested on March 7, 1932 @ 16Pis33...6N themes are 'relationship to father figures; authority issues; needing to take responsibility or control; commitments through another person's not being able to carry on.' (Brady.) '17Pisces'/'17Vir' are considered critical (crisis) degrees and relate directly to the Uranus/Pluto cycle since they met there in mid-Virgo in the mid-1960s = civil rights--workers' rights--racial inequality--anti-war protests; plus, 2011's income inequality issues, tuition increases, etc.

So in 1932, President Hoover and his military advisers (and international bosses) attempted to take control and had some temporary success, we might say. But it was their own sense of responsibility and their commitment to paying our war veterans that they wanted to avoid.

Sounds kind of like the attitudes of Republicans in Congress circa 2011 and how they behave over such things as extending unemployment benefits, extendign corporate welfare, and a desire to institute other populace-controlling methods of austerity (Saturn!) These are some of the plutocratic strategies of globalism-loving politicians determined to keep down the oppressed and disenfranchised in America, a group whose ranks are constantly increasing.

In closing, the grand schemes pair of Jupiter and Neptune (inflation; speculation; market bubbles--the planetary imprint of the Obama presidency by Great Conjunction/s all through 2009 conj US natal Moon) are in different signs--Neptune 6Vir32 conjoins President Obama's natal Pluto, a time of eroding power--but they are snugged around Bonus Army Mercury 00Vir31 which forms a midpoint picture you may wish to consider. See of any of these potentials ring true given what we know so far--any, all, or none may apply:

Jupiter/Neptune = Mercury: speaking for the deprived; misleading or misdirecting others; skills with deceptive practices; putting on an act; talking a lot; a raising of hopes.

In the 1932 horoscope in the 6th house of Police and Military Service is Mars, planet of war, conflict, and protest, just beyond his Return to natal position in America's birth chart (July 4, 1776; Mars '22Gemini' square Neptune 22Vir25.) And, if you use this ASC 25Sag37 as the tail of a high-flying Kite pattern, acts as the spearhead of MacArthur's and Hoover's efforts to quell dissent in this Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.

Plus, as you see, Mars 25Gem21 conjoins asteroid Eros ('the piercing') (and OWS's natal MC at sunrise!) which describes the charge of Mars--US 500 infantry, 500 cavalry, 800 policemen, and 6 tanks, as noted) toward the Bonus Army marchers who, in their gullible, patriotic love for America and pride in their military service to the US government, cheered--cheered!--because they assumed that General MacArthur was leading troops to HONOR them, our veterans of WWI.

But they soon discovered their mistake...

It's been said that MacArthur ignored Hoover's orders to stop the assault but MacArthur charged the marchers because he allegedly thought the Bonus Army was part of a Communist plot to take over America. But I just don't believe that he assaulted innocent Americans because of his own conspiracy theory, do you? That there were communist sympathizers or double agents within the US government then, and perhaps now, seems much more credible, sad to say. jc

Bradley Manning court date: Sun Sag/Moon Virgo

At last, whistleblower Bradley Manning, who dared taunt the US war machine, has been given a court date of December 16 (2011) when the Sun is in Sagittarius, Moon in critical Virgo for the 24-hour period.

This Fire-Earth combination of energies may be described as a 'bull dozer' and indicates tremendous drive toward a desired direction. Old J. P. Morgan was born with a Fire-Earth combo (Aries-Virgo.) The combo tends to have a strong, rational bias with enormous certitude about beliefs. Seems this may describe both sides of the issue--the Manning-WikiLeaks side v the US military/government, so invested in their seeming infallibility. Does might make right? Not to me it doesn't!

Yet the Sun Sag-Moon Virgo blend in particular can shift between certitude and deep doubt. Its sense of drama may shrink if placed under the spotlight for too long, and nervous tension becomes a problem. Aims are focused on the greater good, not just on behalf of the individual, and presenting the Big Picture is a talent with Sag's macro-view and Virgo's attention to detail. This reminds me of the leaked tape of the US helicopter showing troops' behavior that Private Manning leaked to WikiLeaks and which began this difficult odyssey for him.

With Sun Sag-Moon Virgo, there is a tendency to be shocked by disloyalty and again, this seems to me to describe both sides especially with the combo's dedication to ideals. Clear arguments will be made on December 16 and calm integrity will be demonstrated but narrow-mindedness, moralism, and obsession will also be shown on that day.

One of the blend's 'Images for Integration' is: The Ten Commandments but there is little space within the theater of war for following such good advice--Thou Shalt Not Kill being the stand-out admonition though Not Bearing False Witness must be on the court's menu, of course.

My own feeling is that Bradley Manning carved out a little space for morality when his actions revealed the true face of US imperialism and his trial will be a mad scramble to put the Pentagon's idealistic mask back in place for the American people--even though it's way too late. Pvt. Manning is in the raptor's embrace, God help him, for the raptor is blind to all but its own interests, and sacrificing One Lone Soldier is a no-brainer solution when global domination goals are at stake.

The Sun Sag-Moon Virgo combo is shared natally by philosopher and historian Thomas Carlyle and here's one of his famous quotes which I hope won't define Bradley Manning's court appearance on December 16:

Newt Gingrich = Sun and Moon SQ Neptune

Newt Gingrich: Sun Gemini/Moon Sagittarius = a 'know-it-all'?

The astrodatabank page of 2012 Republican candidate Newt Gingrich gives some basic details on the life of this noted Republican whose Big Year came in 1994 when the GOP took over the House gavel and Newt was named Speaker of the House. Newt was proud to be the first Republican Speaker in 40 years but controversy soon followed the professor of history.

Perhaps you caught a recent Morning Edition feature on NPR To Imagine a Gingrich Presidency, Look To The '90s if you wish to imagine such a thing. (Audio and text. Plus, a big honkin' "Contract With America" photo from 1994 of the political thespians.)

Now when it comes to the natal horoscope of Newt Gingrich, there are at least three conflicting birth times to be found online. For more on that, his astrodatabank wiki page, above, gives you the scoop.

But which natal chart to use for this post? So far his potential birth times are: 11:45 pm EWT, "middle of the night", and 3:00 am EWT. Let's consider the most often used horoscope for 11:45 pm.



11:45 pm ewt gives an ASC of *19AQ19 which has intellectual and contrarian correspondences. This makes Saturn in Gemini the chart-ruler, with quirky yet brilliant Uranus in Gemini as co-ruler which supports his Mercury/Uranus conjunction's intellectual prowess and its radical ideas (see more on this conjunction, below.) The pair snugs near IC (Foundation; Basis) so its scintillating energies may be said to under gird him and form the basis of bis career success in the opposite house, the 10th house of Career.

10th H contains the Moon (emotional nature; mama; publicity; fluctuations) @ 25Sag11 which shows his waxing-waning with the public yet with a reigning need for public status and attention. Jupiter rules 10th H through Sagittarius @ MC and Jupiter 27Can20 is weakened by its position in Cadent 6th H (abundance through work and service) yet Jupiter applies to an opportunistic sextile (60 degr) to idealistic Neptune 29Vir17 in 7th H of Partnerships (1A58), and a conjunction with power-mongering Pluto 5Leo41, also in 6th H (8A21.)

Bank-loving Jupiter/Pluto is a signature of wealthy people who are of a move-n-shaker persuasion, always ready to start large scale projects.

Broad thinking Jupiter/Neptune has, as you know, the Grand Spirit-Grand Scheme, Speculation-Inflation-Wastrel vibes of an over-promiser. Gingrich's detail-oriented ability is supplied by thinking Mercury in its own sign of Gemini, sign of communication and oration; Mercury is in sextile aspect with Pluto as well which deepens his intellect and provides him with analytical and concentrating abilities which are also supported by energetic Mars sextile hardworking Saturn.

As you see in the horoscope, Gingrich was born when Uranus and Pluto were in sextile
(60 degr) aspect indicating scientific interests, a deep search for knowledge, and sudden inspirations.

Newt, a Man of Ideas

His Mercury/Uranus conjunction indicates an inventive mind; advanced Science topics may be of interest including atomic energy; occult leanings or Astrology may be indicated; sudden flashes of intuition inspire solutions; independent thinking is evident, self expression is dramatic, traditional ideas are never automatically accepted, and he's constantly seeking the new or unusual.

The Essence of Newt: closest applying aspect to natal Sun

Now the only applying aspect to natal Sun is a square from Neptune indicating early confusion with his identity (teen parents separated just after his birth, stepfather adopted him; grew up in a military household.) This is an aspect of a self-deceiver par excellence (US president? Really?) with an unconscious desire for importance which is tamped down a little by a strong Saturn, here in Gemini, which gives him a logical mind. Plus, Saturn and Mars are in sextile (endurance, fortitude, practicality), and Mercury's sextile to Pluto gives keen mental perceptions, powerful self-expression, and another potential for occultism.

Moon SQ Neptune shows some deception or illusion on the part of Mom who may have fibbed a little about Dad (Sun/Neptune SQ.) In adulthood, these energies show up in his multiple marriages and a reputation for romantic affairs and for leaving ill wives for someone new.

A 4th H Sun rebounds its energy by polarity into the public 10th H but also indicates that Newt shines brightest when he's chillin' at home. Yet serious Saturn in 4th H tells a tale of heavy responsibilities in the family sphere, and a struggle to achieve domestic security. Real estate, contracting, building, and/or farming are indicated.

Well, you know there are many people who say that Newt Gingrich Will Never Be President and considering his natal chart, I shall agree.

For one thing, the closest direct link to America's natal Moon (We the People; 25--28 AQ--most victorious candidates have had a strong connection to our national Moon) in his natal chart is an opposition from Chiron 25Leo40; Chiron in Leo shows his crisis on earth relates to **ego problems which were meant to be conquered at his Uranus opposition ('midlife crisis') but I suspect ego continues to rule Mr. Gingrich because he's still desperate for public attention for himself, a trait supported by his 10th H Jupiter-ruled Moon.

Well, his campaign--more PR than presidential?--does collect funds for his coffers and sells quite a lot of books. Plus, his SN conjunct ASC does not indicate popularity! (Click to enlarge chart for more on SN/ASC, bottom left.)

Debt-free America Jan 8, 1835 v Debts Galore Nov 21, 2011

Under the anti-central bank policy of President Andrew Jackson, America paid off the national debt and was considered debt-free in January 1835.

Some sources use 'January 1' and some 'January 8' 1835 as the one day our nation was free of debt; however, some loans were outstanding but could have been paid if called for. Other sources say that America's debt freedom period lasted longer than just one day--perhaps for about a year. Central banks orchestrated the Panic of 1837 in retaliation for America's refusal to play their usury interest rate game so naturally Jackson's opponents blamed him--and fooled some of the people into blaming him--for the dire financial conditions in the US caused by the 1837 crash.

This was Big Banking's usual underhanded tactics, as we've come to know them all too well since 2008, if not before.

Given tonight's whimpering deadline for the Super Committee's deficit homework to be turned in with spending cuts and revenue identified, most people suspect that the debt dog already wolfed it down.


Astrology: January 1835 v November 2011

A few interesting time links exist between January 8, 1835 and the Solar Eclipse of November 25, 2011 @ 2Sag37 such as 1835's Jupiter 2Gem12 Rx, opposed by the 'Super Committee eclipse'. As you know, Jupiter now travels in retrograde condition in early Taurus, a practical earth sign of Money and Intolerance. The outcome of the Super Committee's work was bound to be complicated if not sabotaged by a Rx Jupiter--was the committee set up to fail as many people believe?

Jupiter's Direct Station on December 25, 2011 has been cited here as the very earliest date that money issues might proceed more favorably though Jupiter's passing its shadow degree (where Mr. Moneybags turned Rx on August 30, 2011 @ 10Tau21) is more likely yet 10Tau21 won't be reached by Jupiter until the evening of March 17, 2012, St. Patrick's Day.

Now in Mundane Astrology Jupiter also relates to Politics and to the Grand Old Party in particular and obviously the 2012 campaign will be in full swing by March 2012 if the varmints of Washington haven't crashed our nation into smithereens by then. Seems as though some are working hard at it!

1835's Pluto conjoined the natal Venus of President Jackson so he was in the midst of a Pluto to natal Venus transit, a time when greater power and influence are sought, personal relationships may enhance one's status, power struggled ensue, and bankruptcy may be a consideration.

Turns out, in 1835 Andrew Jackson avoided massive debt of the sort that leads to bankruptcy for our nation but look what Washington politicians have been up to the last several years (such as wars fought on credit cards, Bush tax cuts for millionaires, unfunded mandates, etc) from which the US is already, some say, bankrupt. Embezzling and heisting from the US Treasury has much to do with our nation's weakened financial condition, too, imho.

Well, after President Andrew Jackson paid the last installment on our national debt which he proclaimed on January 8, 1835, his goal to keep the central banking system from taking over our finances (and hence, the governance) of the United States was satisfied for a little while.

However, as is said to be the case with US presidents who mess with the massive profits that central banks make from loaning large sums to governments, an assassination attempt was made on the life of President Jackson January 30, 1835, the first-ever attempt on a US president's life which fulfills a potential of the 'suffering heavy attacks or assaults' midpoint picture mentioned above.

But mind-of-his-own President Jackson was definitely not the last.

How I wish the guns pointed at Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy had misfired as well, don't you?
