A Solar Eclipse Activated by Degree: 1331 vs 2020

With the first public impeachment inquiry into Trump and his machinations in Ukraine now in process on Capitol Hill and, as usual, truth being on trial via Trump, it seems interesting that the eclipse themes of "realism; coming down to earth and seeing a situation for what it really is; a good time for tackling the truth" (Brady) continue to closely apply to and influence the misguided, misbegotten administration of Donald Trump who acts on behalf of Russia and other foreign entities while such themes continue as a mission--an imperative--of the United States government attempting to root out Trump's style of organized crime and corruption.

So because the 19 North Solar Eclipse which manifested on September 1, 2016 @9Virgo (opposed and gummed up by transit Neptune, planet of deception and confusion) influenced both the 2016 Election and Inauguration 2017, it may be significant that 19 North's initial eclipse occurred on July 5, 1331 (OS) @20Cancer, a critical degree and a Solar Eclipse that will be activated, triggered, and/or spotlighted by the Lunar Eclipse of January 10, 2020 @20Cancer (DC horoscope shown).

So will another 'wild card of the Universe' eclipse uncover inconvenient facts for the guilty and disrupt any or all proceedings? Why of course!

Plus historically, in 1331 the Battle of Plowce was fought between Poland's army and the German army of Teutonic Knights--which reminds me of Teuton Donald Trump and his Germanic roots! Wonder if Cadet Bone Spurs plays such a "knight" in his fondest fantasies?

When Will Transit Neptune Reach the Aries Point?

Whenever there's an activation of the Aries Point (and/or the three other Cardinal Points--00 degrees Libra-Cancer-Capricorn) by transiting planet or progression, a major cycle begins and significant global or large events are apt to occur. As it turns out, the world will experience such vernal activation by transpersonal planet Neptune leaving its own sign of Pisces and reaching the Aries Point for the first time in our modern era on March 30, 2025. This is the first Neptune-Aries-Point conjunction since the 19th century and was in effect during America's Civil War.

Now as you know, astrological Neptune rules multiple realms and possibilities, all of which are easily accessible in astrology books and online so I'll not attempt to list them here (having done so in previous posts). Yet obviously, the Collective Unconscious is one such important realm via Neptune's association with the 12th house in horoscopes of all types with Neptune's 'magic wand' influence being either positive or negative, or some combination of both. Plus, in Astrology the planet's urge to merge and Divine Source implications are basic features of its nature along with natural disasters involving water or other liquids, and/or contagions and poisons. Of course, when it comes to monarchy as a form of government, the word deluge comes easily to mind.

So when may we look forward into the distant mist of time and spy transit Neptune's next entry into Mars-ruled Aries at Aries Point and what cosmic weather may be expected from the Zodiacal shift of this gaseous, karmic planet that wears many masks and disguises? After all, the 12th is the Unconscious house of karma where Neptune co-rules with traditional ruler Jupiter (also known for his boundary breaking or neglecting ability).

According to my Solar Fire Gold v9 software, transit Neptune next catalyzes Aries Point on March 30, 2025, as noted above. Due to retrogradation, other conjunctions to, or within 2 degrees of, the AP occur including in late January 2026 and beyond.

As for the energy shift, Neptune in Pisces has been a period when peace and harmony were possible though not necessarily achieved, as you know, and interest in psychism, mysticism, and the occult has been on the rise along with inspired creativity. Negatively, this is a period of contagions and epidemics, losses, deceit, illusions and delusions, scandals, fraudulent schemes, bubbles about to pop, propaganda, pathological tendencies, fear and paranoia. Everyone's credibility and authenticity are now questioned, even challenged, and none more so than in the realms of Politics, Law, and Business via shady characters pretending to be honest, aboveboard, and worthy of the positions they hold (in spite of rigged elections!). Certainly Neptune's handmaidens the masses and the media are major parts of the elusive bargain of confusion, illusion, and lies in advertising, networks (social and otherwise), and in politics.

Once Neptune floats into Aries, will society be any better off?

This placement denotes a period when comes the realization that spiritual regeneration is imperative and may be accessed by the masses. Neptune was last in Aries in 1861/62--1874/75 when the spiritist or spiritualist movement was in high bloom across the US and parts of Europe. In America, the movement had received a huge boost on March 31, 1848 when the two Fox sisters of Hydesville, New York, began "communicating" bwo "knocking sounds" with the "spirit" of a murdered peddler allegedly buried in the cellar of the little girls' house. Then in 1888, one of the sisters admitted that they had faked the entire thing although she later recanted. Now I should probably mention here that I personally do not believe in disembodied 'spirits' knocking or otherwise so my hope is that such a deluded craze will never again sweep across this or any other land--no matter ectoplasmic Neptune's sign.

So for the negative potentials of Neptune in Aries this time around in its 164-year cycle, let's stick to reality as much as possible--a reality which unfortunately may include dealing with issues such as spiritual pride, insane ideas, and an annoying abundance of egotism!

The Planetary Conjunctions of 2020

February 28, 2020: Here are the two SO'W posts I've published so far concerning the upcoming Planetary Conjunctions of 2020 with only incomplete information, 'tis true, but they're all I've had a chance to compose and publish in this very busy 2020--what with Trump's impeachment, a 2020 Campaign in full swing, and now the corona virus pandemic spreading across the globe while an incompetent, faithless "president" mismanages and propagandizes the US government response from a sabotaged White House which (purposefully) leaves the American people vulnerable to the ravages of this Neptune-in-Pisces contagion which brings with it paranoia, fear, panic, and deception:

Jupiter-Pluto - these two conjoin their energies three times in 2020--the first on April 5th!

Jupiter-Saturn (includes midpoint pictures; this conjunction hits America's Oath of Office (POTUS) Sun @00AQ29, a significant cosmic and political event.

And as you know, the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Pluto occurred on January 12, 2020 but the horoscope is 'good for' about 33 to 35 years until their next conjunction. The karmic planetary pair's harsh influences are in force as I type and let's note that the conjunction horoscope shows a pseudo YOD (pseudo because a chart angle is involved in the pattern as one of the YOD's points rather than a third planet). I mention this here because contagious Neptune in Pisces is also one of its points, plus YOD patterns are considered health indicators, and because the difficult Saturn-Pluto combination of oppressive, compressed energies can represent deeply searching scientists--and mass murder, with their January 12th conjunction @22Cap46 falling upon a governmental degree (DeVore).

Dissolving Neptune and the Republican Party in 2019

August 3 2019: With multiple Republican congressmen retiring from what's become the 'Party of Trump' anyone could be forgiven for blaming The Long Shadow of Neptune for such losses and disapearances along with the fact that a recent Neptune Return (a five-fer actually) has occurred for the 164-year-old Republican Party which formed March 20, 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin with Neptune @14Pis01.

For as you know, dissolving Neptune disintegrates, undermines, and weakens most easily when floating through its own sign of watery Pisces and can bring inspiration, yes, or the urge-to-merge planet can conjure negatives such as pathological tendencies, propaganda, lies, self-delusion, disguises, pessimism, contagion, fear, and paranoia in its wake--and as we see with retiring Republican congressmen and other issues of loss, Neptune is apparently flooding the GOP.

So as illustrated by the image of my drawing, above, when it comes to the Republican Party in 2019, Neptune Ascends and what will be left of the party once the washing away is done who can say? Here's one guess: snivelers and sycophants?

Will Republicans Cease to Exist? - Thom Hartmann

From author and progressive broadcaster Thom Hartmann comes an interesting segment from his show concerning the viability of the Republican Party in the era of Trump. Of course, all my astrologer friends are familiar with the Neptunian concepts of demise, disintegration, instability, disappointment, and dissolution affecting the GOP for a few years now as we've watched undermining Neptune in shady Pisces approach its 1854 position (1854 + Neptune's 164-year orbit = 2018) in the founding horoscope of the once-conservative party--in astrological terms, the party's Neptune Return to 14 Pisces--oh! and Neptune is the planet of fraud, deception, disguises, pretence, fakery, loss, fanaticism, propaganda, mass media, the masses, and plenty of conspiracy theories to promote it all:

Now naturally, the ongoing,, scandal-producing Jupiter-Neptune square (fanaticism masquerading as idealism) isn't improving such matters, political and otherwise, plus, how synchronicitous is it that the GOP's natal Neptune @14Pisces has quite a revealing Sabian Symbol: "A Lady in FOX Fur"! And the symbol's negative (unconscious/shadow side) expression? "Amoral opportunism," a description which can easily be applied to party members--some more than others, it appears--and to the undermining 'leader' of their demise, Donald Trump.

June 10, 2019 John Dean Invited to Capitol Hill

In case John Dean of WaterGate fame accepts Jerrold Nadler's invitation to speak on June 10th to the House Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill, below is Mr. Dean's natal horoscope with June 10th transits set for 9:00 am edt snugged around it--not because the hearing will open at that hour (probably closer to 9:30 or 10:00 am) but because 9:00 am happens to be the time that Dean's natal Pluto @1Leo26 rises over the Capitol Building.

In other words, I'm using the June 10th horoscope as a symbolic chart of the power (Pluto) Mr. Dean may wield through providing information which could very well have a (plutonian) transformative effect on current rather stalled conditions.

Now with the event's occurrence and timing being iffy as such Washington events tend to be I won't spend much time typing about it here, plus, quite a few basic chart notes are penned messily on the bi-wheel charts if you care to look. However, note that Dean's Venus @00Sag32 conjoins his natal Midheaven (The Goal) and rules his 3rd house of Communications via Taurus--and June 10th Venus @1Gem47 opposes his natal Venus (see lower right, highlighted in blue) which triggers opposing views and conflicts within relationships. Dean's natal Saturn, planet of authority, accountability, responsibility, law, and government conjuncts the 9:00 am Midheaven as he dutifully shares his opinions with the world (MC). This could be refreshing, who knows? For one thing, Dean will be highly motivated (transit Pluto trine natal Mars) as he expresses his diplomatic views blended with self-interest (transit Venus conjunct natal IC, the Foundation of the Matter). However, with the Moon in critical Virgo reflecting Dean's natal Mars-Neptune conjunction (8th house), images of crooks, treachery, and/or scandal may turn up in the news (Moon = the public; publicity) concerning this hearing or possible accusations of such may be hurled at Dean himself.

Now by transit on June 10th, most of us are dealing on some level with the Sun-Jupiter opposition squaring deceptive Neptune in Pisces (in John Dean's 1st house of Self) which suggests general potentials for loss, sensitivity, and the crooks we hear and read about each day (one ex: Nixon).

Plus, transit Mars conjunct North Node is lining up to oppose the difficult Saturn-Pluto conjunction (exact @22Cap46 on January 12, 2020--conjunct Trump's natal Vertex of fated encounters) which hints at the harshness, ruthlessness, and brutality now prevalent in society--and that someone is fighting for his very existence. I leave it to you, dear reader, to decide who that could possibly be as DC Democrats continue their careful attempts, slow as they seem, to hold a not-above-the-law president accountable for his actions.

Neptune in Pisces and the Disappearing GOP

After hearing Trump's recent 'unhinged' and rambling rant at CPAC 2019, GOP strategist Rick Tyler says "it's over," for the Republican Party, "Rest in peace." Mr. Tyler predicts that once Donald Trump passes on there will be no party left which is unfortunate yet interesting since Astrology has been saying that very thing for years now as evidenced by the party's recent Neptune Return/s (2017-2018), with the last of five conjunctions perfecting on December 29, 2018! (See link, below.)

For as all astrologers know, the urge-to-merge energies of astrological Neptune, although sometimes inspiring, uplifting, and compassionate, can erode, dissolve, undermine, confuse, ruin, poison, infect, conspire, obfuscate, hide, mask, disguise, propagandize, spy, falsify, fantasize, cheat, defraud, idealize, demagogue, disappoint, disillusion, disappear, lie, mislead, doubt, disrespect, lose, steal, pilfer, rob, waste, and/or weaken whatever it touches or affects.

And since the Republican Party was founded in 1854 with Neptune @14Pis01, the party's nature on the inspirational level may not have been as grounded as it now turns out was needed in order for the political party to last more than 164 years (the approximate length of Neptune's orbital period), or perhaps a certain amount of dishonesty, fraud, masking, or wrong ideas were involved all along. Whatever the original cause, transit Neptune floating through its own sign of Pisces has provided determined forces a perfect opportunity to undermine, erode, weaken, and morph the party into the Trump-infused entity we now find squirming in his grasp, its end lamented by many.

Yet did things have to be this way for the Republican Party? No! For in Pisces there is always a choice of direction seen via the image of the Two Fishes, one swimming up toward the heights, the other down to the depths, and under the sketchy, lie-filled leadership of Donald Trump, it seems clear that the murkiest of depths are precisely where the GOP has sunk.

Astro-Notes on Heather Nauert: next UN Ambassador?

Donald Trump's choice for UN ambassador to replace Nikki Haley is former Fox News personality Heather Nauert born January 27, 1970 in Rockford, Illinois. Follow the link for a few bio details on her life and a view of a speculative natal horoscope for her (birth hour unknown).

If confirmed to the UN post, Ms. Nauert will be the least experienced ambassador to the United Nations in US history with a diplomacy resume as thin as my own! Yet a communicator she is, and quite Airy, too, as we can see from her natal planets. I won't bother posting her 'noon' natal chart here since it's only a possibility that she'll be confirmed by the Senate. In her favor? She's a Fox alumni, blonde, and Mike Pompeo and John Bolton seem to be in her corner along with Mr. Trump so we'll see how her confirmation hearing goes.

And the downgrading of her UN position from Cabinet-level is being pushed by Pompeo and Bolton thanks to Trump who intends to run the show entirely and carry Putin's water on the global stage as far as the 'United' Nations goes.

Well, you know how astrological Neptune likes to downgrade, downplay, dissolve, undermine, deceive, disappoint, merge, infect, and confuse, right? Well, the Nauert-UN saga seems right on time since the first Mars Return to Trump's 2017 Inauguration horoscope (24Pis21) will perfect on December 23, 2018 at 11:20:54 am est, and in Washington DC, guess what rises at that moment? Why, Neptune @13Pis55, of course! Ascendant = 13Pis58 and Heather Nauert's natal North Node, a point of public contact, falls at 12Pis11 or so.

And if we round up to '14Pisces' for Neptune-ASC's Sabian Symbol we discover "A Lady in Fox Fur," aka, Heather Nauert. Now some pundits are saying that Ms. Nauert as UN Ambassador is in for a world of hurt. Astrologically I'd say that the December 23rd Neptune-ASC-NN trio in the Trump Inauguration's Mars Return chart suggests potentials for rumor, deception, hurt through others, and being duped (Tyl) for this Lady in Fox Fur. Master-of-disguise Neptune must supply Ms. Nauert with quite a weighty mask to wear in New York! And to New York I suspect she will go for the January 5, 2019 Solar Eclipse @15Capricorn activates her natal Mercury in Capricorn with its eclipse theme of: "joining a new group and gaining a great deal" (Brady). For even if downgraded from a Cabinet-level position, a UN ambassadorship would be a lucrative step up for Heather Nauert after a brief stint as State Department spokesperson.

And if Nauert's personality blend of Sun AQ-Moon Libra is the case instead of a Water-Earth Sun AQ-Moon Virgo blend (if born not very long after midnight) which tends toward puritanism and a nit-picking attitude toward others, her double Air combination of energies suggests she is civilized, sociable, charming, broad-minded, and humanitarian with a good intellect. The AQ-Libra blend is shared by author Boris Pasternak and I shall end this post with an extremely appropriate quote from him which may very well remind you of someone we both hear from ad nauseum every single day,

"As for men in power, they are so anxious to establish the myth of infallibility that they do their utmost to ignore truth."

In December 2012, yours truly published a post concerning the Astrology of the NRA, no horoscope shown. Then in August 2018, I did it again, this time a post titled NRA Founded under Mars-Saturn-Pluto Vibes, again with no horoscope shown.

Sometimes I neglect posting a horoscope here when no birth or founding hour is known which is the case with this November 17, 1871 hot mess of an organization but tonight I've posted below the 'noon' horoscope for the one or two readers who may be curious to see the chart and because the group is in the news currently in part due to the 2018 Midterms this week. Enlarge the image if you wish, for I've added its Prenatal Eclipse ('PE'; in 5th house at noon) @16Can57 in the obsessive 18 North Saros Series of high stress, accidents, and physical concern.

And of course we can't miss the harsh Mars-Saturn conjunction in Saturn-ruled Capricorn conjoining one of the 'victim' stars, Facies with Mars-Saturn the pair that make up the 'death axis' according to Reinhold Ebertin. And you may wish to marvel at the Sun @24Scorpio which shines upon the natal IC of Donald Trump, and NRA's North Node pointing toward America's natal Mars with its tragic 'fog of war' square to our national Neptune in Virgo. Also check out the upper right scribbles of "NRA + GOP Potentials" between two brutal NRA midpoints and the GOP's natal Neptune @14Pis01 (now having its Neptune Return) - in fact, reports say that NRA funds are less than usual, spending on the 2018 Midterms is down, and its control on US Politics may be weakening just as the midpoint pictures say and this has given gun control groups more leeway:

Not listed on the chart are the three dates of the 2018 Saturn Return/s of the NRA which are:

1. February 25; June 10 Rx; and next--November 23, 2018. Now as you know, Saturn is a karmic planet (reaping what's been sown) so during a Saturn Return, it's Accountability Time when taking responsibility for past actions is demanded by the Cosmos. Can this be part of the Saturnian restriction and the limitations the NRA is experiencing in their coffers and political influence?

Trickle Down Racism: The Not So New Platform of The Republican Party

From October 19, 2018, here's a disturbing topic recently addressed by Thom Hartmann:

Astrologically all the -isms are children of the Pluto-Chiron combination of energies and include racism, exploitation, oppression, abuse of the weak, primal violence, criminality, and plutocracy. The pair by transit last conjoined on December 30, 1999 @11Sag22. Rounded up we have '12Sag': "A Flag That Turns Into an Eagle That Crows" which spotlights the natal Ascendant of America (for those who use a late afternoon chart for our nation's founding on July 4, 1776) and with the American Empire's totem animal the American Eagle, as everyone knows.

This personalizes the Pluto-Chiron conjunction to our nation (Ascendant) as the New Millennium was about to begin and considering the Republicans' use of the 9/11 attacks (Patriot Act, power grabs, erosion of our constitutional rights, HoSec and total surveillance, etc, etc), I'm suggesting that the Pluto-Chiron pair tragically describes what certain US politicians were and are--now acting under the tutelage of Putin-compromised Donald Trump, an asset who 'does just what Putin would do', who owes much to and conspires with Saudi Arabia, China, and North Korea--and who idolizes dictators past and present and longs for their kind of extreme power.

A handmaiden to this topic is the ongoing Republican Party's Neptune Return with Neptune in Pisces bringing a boatload of paranoia, fear, lies, fraud, conspiracy theories, and propaganda. And of course, infiltrating saboteur Neptune enables identity change or the masking of it via the party's current label as the Trump Party (Republicans are 'hiding behind Trump', some pundits have said). The fifth and final exact return of transit Neptune to the party's 1854 position of Neptune (14Pis01) occurs on December 29, 2018 and floats America into 2019 with fascism as one of Mr. Trump's 'secret' -isms and an anti-democratic authoritarian agenda.

As in, authoritarianism.

Are Republicans Drenched by Neptune?

In September 2017, a post appeared on SO'W concerning the fact that the Republican Party is in process of its first-ever Neptune Return, a five-fer return which began on May 17, 2017 with its final exact return on December 29, 2018.

Actually, today is August 11, 2018 so the party's next Neptune Return perfects on October 20, 2018 with Neptune Rx @14Pis01, the party's natal degree of the planet from their founding on March 20, 1854 (6:30 pm LMT Rippon, Wisconsin). Between the five return charts, let's count the last return of December 29, 2018 as the major one you see below, since it must serve the party for the next 164 years (as if). Of course, all five return horoscopes 'count' and perhaps the first one of May 17, 2017 is the most significant. But since it's now 2018, the December chart is shown here and is set for the party's natal location (Rippon, WI) because unlike the December return chart relocated to DC, three planets are angular, as you see:

Naturally, there are other chart factors worth your consideration as are several stars that attach to the return's planets such as self-sacrificing Diadem conjunct Moon (the public; publicity) and Midheaven, the Aspiration and Career Point of all horoscopes; warring star Antares rises with its themes recently expanded by transit Jupiter; Sun @7Cap41 rises with Aculeus (enduring attacks but success) and conjoins Facies while serious Saturn, strong in its own sign of Capricorn, rises with Facies (ruthlessness or, the victim). Noted in the center of the chart is the severe Saturn-Pluto midpoint @15Cap47 which by degree points toward the first Solar Eclipse of 2019 @15Cap which perfects on January 6th in the 2 South Saros Series (joining unusual groups and feeling you'll gain a great deal from it--Brady).

Now as you know, there are many words and concepts typically assigned to the nebulous if inspired realms of astrological Neptune, with conspiracy being merely one of them. Made more prevalent as it floats through its own sign of tropical Pisces, Neptune also relates to: paranoia, fear, propaganda, fraud, deception, illegitimacy, illusion, veils and cover-ups, secrets, leaks, scams, grand schemes and dreams, erosion and dissolution, insecurity, uncertainty, karmic loss, glamour, disguises, mass media, and the masses--all come to mind as well as oceans, rivers, drinking and other water, gases, floods, epidemics and toxins. In Astrology, expansive Neptune's list is quite endless, or should I say, infinite? For The Divine Source is the highest designation for Neptune so we also find the GOP's association with religion (except that's really codifying Jupiter's domain with Neptune more a marker for spirituality and compassion.) Of course, fear and paranoia are what conspiracy theories are often based upon and are what such fanciful notions are meant to raise through the continual spreading of them.

Worth a gander is a 2013 TYT video segment Which Party Buys More into Conspiracy Theories? (5:58). (Confession: some of the theories mentioned appear factual to me!)

So how appropriate during the Republican Party's ongoing Neptune Return/s of 2017--2018 that various media and entertainment figures have recently called out the GOP as the 'Conspiracy Party' based on what the party has become--especially under the 'leadership' (?) of Mr. Trump, an ace conspiracy theorist in the flesh. 'Birtherism' against Barack Obama is a prime example of a political tactic that Trump based his presidential candidacy on meant to rile up fellow bigots at voting booths and place white supremacists within his administration (as if that's okay but it isn't). Plus, Neptunian cover-ups of domestic and foreign interference methods used in the 2016 Election (and threatening future elections) aided Trump in his quixotic quest for the White House.

Yet as his nibs fears, his is now seen as an illegitimate presidency by a many Americans and even transit Neptune veiling US Progressed Sun (POTUS) in Pisces has not successfully hidden the fact, nor has Neptune managed to hide Mr. Trump's purposeful ineptitude, weakness, financial shortcomings, and basic unsuitability for playing the role of POTUS. Besides, Trump in the White House isn't about playing the role well, it's about collapsing the American system of government and eroding our institutions, traditions, ideals, and beliefs, isn't it?

So in the 1854 founding chart of the Republican Party, let's consider a certain natal midpoint picture involving Neptune...Neptune-MC (goal point) = Uranus in the corporate 8th house: the desire to bring ideas to realization at all costs (Ebertin); and self-righteousness (Tyl). Yet oddly enough 'realization' is a concept belonging to astrological Saturn, planet of reality, form, law, government, business, and The Establishment. And of course, astrological Uranus represents potentials for: revolt, war, shock, disruption, upheaval, radical reform, chaos, and inventive and/or Utopian ideas. Science, Technology, and Progress are also Uranian but these days fact-based systems and progressive social reforms, among other things, act as garlic to the vampires of the regressive GOP--regrettably, and this I type as a Protestant Christian who continues to rely on the natural laws of the Universe set up by our Creator just as our Solar System (The Great Cosmic Clock) was and which makes Astrology's 'As Above, So Below' structure possible for our better understanding of life on Earth.

In The Combination of Stellar Influences, Ebertin also supplies information on the Neptune-MC blend itself which reveals potentials for: pursuit of wrong ideas; people with Utopian ideas (and plans!), crooks and swindlers, and a leaning toward deception. Does this sound like any politicians, indicted and not yet indicted, you can name? And with transit Uranus in Aries (blind zealots, anarchists, Utopians) we must add to their Utopian zealotry the Sabian Symbol of the Republican Party's Ascendant, the rising point which describes the Party itself, and the fact that America's natal Jupiter in Cancer rises in their chart as well and we have: '6 Cancer' = "Game Birds feathering Their Nests".

Now most everyone agrees that elected candidates of all political stripes go to Washington for one of two basic reasons: either to idealistically represent, as well as they can, We The People (what we once called public service and 'doing the people's business'), or, to create personal wealth within a compromised system based on favors, bribes, pay-offs, blackmail, intimidation...and doing the work of corporations--and nowadays, bowing to foreign dictators. Tragically for our nation, it often happens that the idealists find once there that materialism is the only way to keep their positions and many succumb as party leaders read them the riot act as dictated by un-elected financiers and anti-democratic saboteurs who care nothing for America.

Now in a spirit of disclosure, I should admit that for years I've blogged in dissent against America's role of World Cop for transnational Corporate Crime Syndicates--and have habitually complained against Global Government dissolving America's national sovereignty. But even as campaigning Trump gave lip service to such concerns, his 'walling in' of the American people is not the answer for these issues for I believe that Trump's border wall is more about playing on bigotry for votes, isolating America from her traditional allies and neighbors so that our leadership role on the global stage is reduced to allow authoritarian regimes to take over the reins. Perhaps you agree that China and Russia are the obvious culprits as we've observed foreign agent Trump approving of this radical notion. So often we see that Trump does just like Putin would do! so that his chaotic ways make more sense in such a disturbing light.

So as one of those many Americans with ancestors who sacrificed, fought, and died to help establish this nation--plus, with ancestors of non-Caucasian persuasions--the erosion and corruption of the Republican Party is of no joy to me nor is the corporate corruption of the Democratic Party. The fact that political parties were considered by our nation's Founders to be a negative course for America to take, their forming occurred in the past, a reality long accepted by my fellow Americans and used tactically by Washington DC, my former city of residence. That the Republican Party, said to have been created upon compassionate ideals (Neptune in Pisces) during the slave era, has slipped or been pushed into becoming a ridiculous 'Conspiracy Party' bodes ill for America's future unless and until clear and close scrutiny is performed by those who care and dare. Because even arrogant America, with her exalted Saturn in Libra, must abide by the natural laws of karma via sober Saturn's demands for realism, responsibility, integrity, honesty, and the accountability that Mr. Trump and the Republicans now encounter through the current fact-finding investigations of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the prosecutors of New York.

And speaking of Neptune, a 'noon' natal horoscope for POTUS-in-training Republican theocrat Mike Pence is available for viewing with two suggested rectified birth times and Ascendants--one ASC in Scorpio, one in Aquarius. Astro-Notes and an Eclipse for Judge Brett Kavanaugh

All over the news cycle today is Trump's SCOTUS nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Someone at The Hill opines that Kavanaugh Will Not Uphold Roe. On The Federalist Society's short list, Trump could hardly go 'wrong' choosing any of the names to nominate since they were all pre-vetted for the purpose of overturning Roe v Wade and for other decisions intended to shove US society further toward the right, our civil and other rights notwithstanding. Plus, for Trump, Judge Kavanaugh has that extra quality--that apparently his vote will be Trump's trump card to get out of jail free if a case against Mr. Trump should ever come before the Supreme Court. Yet because Judge Kavanaugh may not be the one to take a seat on the SCOTUS bench, let's not spend much energy on him at this point. But we should note that, as reported by The Boston Globe, Born inside the Beltway, Brett Kavanaugh is part of the GOP legal elite so what could possibly go wrong for the rest of us non-elites with Brett on the exalted bench?

Brief Astro-Notes: Brett Kavanaugh

Born in Washington DC on February 12, 1965, the 53-year-old Brett Kavanaugh sports an Air-Water personality blend of Sun Aquarius-Moon Cancer with both luminaries remaining in their respective signs for the 24-hour period. Therefore, the humanitarianism of Aquarius and the subjective, clannish tribalism of Moon-ruled Cancer mix to form an idealistic man with a social conscience, a progressive thinker but one who is also emotionally old-fashioned. This makes sense if his aim is to regress American society back to the 1950s by playing the role of an 'activist judge' for he prefers the values and morals of the past. Motivate them toward protest and rebellion, as his nomination has already done, most likely!

2 South: The Prenatal Solar Eclipse (PE) of Judge Kavanaugh soon repeats

What an apt solar theme for being named to the SCOTUS bench! A solar eclipse in Kavanaugh's 2 South Saros Series perfects on January 6, 2019 @15Capricorn with a theme of: joining unusual groups and gaining a great deal from them (Brady's Predictive Astrology.) Prior to the birth of Baby Brett, the eclipse manifested on December 4, 1964 @12Sagittarius, the position of the US natal Ascendant in our late afternoon charts. And if born near midnight of his birth date, Brett Kavanaugh's natal Moon is @15Cancer and thus will be eclipsed on January 6, 2019.

A Few 2018 Transits to Kavanaugh's Natal Planets (Noon positions)

Not knowing his birth time clouds the astro-picture of Brett Kavanaugh yet we can make a few general observations using a noon natal horoscope set for February 12, 1965 Washington DC. Born during the Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Pluto in mid-Virgo, Kavanaugh shares the generational influences of this conjunction which suggests possibilities for higher consciousness, inventiveness, and/or perhaps tendencies toward violence, revolution, and anarchy.

His natal Jupiter-Neptune opposition is about to be visited by Station Direct Jupiter, today @13Sco20, its Station degree and minute. As the expansive planet moves forward for Kavanaugh, transit Jupiter in Scorpio will again oppose his natal Jupiter (17Taurus) with the third and final opposition occurring on or about September 6, 2018. During this period opportunity knocks but 'no one is impressed' with his efforts which may be seen as overblown yet he's feeling an 'urge for greener pastures'. (Obviously, the 'no one' is not a member of the GOP, his sponsors.)

Also, transit Jupiter is in process of conjoining natal Neptune (19Sco59) with the third and final 'dreamy' conjunction on or about September 19, 2018--and the rose-colored glasses are in constant use. However, going on a spiritual retreat would be more beneficial for him than falling for any pie-in-the-sky schemes which may be presented, successful SCOTUS bid or not.

Now as you know, transit Mars turned retrograde on June 27, 2018 @9AQ13, a shift of direction which occurred upon Brett Kavanaugh's natal Venus. This suggests the forming of new alliances, renewed physical efforts, and enthusiastic social events. Legal matters are a major focus under this transit which will re-occur due to Rx Mars. Groups are somehow involved due to Mars and Venus being in Aquarius so this transit seems to look ahead toward the 2 South Solar Eclipse of January 6, 2019, as noted.

Not nearly as rosy is the fact that Kavanaugh's natal Moon in Cancer has or will be opposed by transit Saturn in Capricorn though it's difficult to time this important transit without an accurate birth hour. Using the Moon's noon position of 7Can47, transit Saturn has begun its three oppositions, the third and final of which will perfect on November 30, 2018. A depressive influence, this Saturnian year for him may merely involve the professional realms such as the law, the court, judgeship, and taking on major responsibilities, or it can suggests family, health, or other personal problems--or a blend of both (Career vs Home Life) and with timing issues involved. And of course if his Moon is in a late degree of Cancer, this restrictive, delaying Saturnian influence could continue into 2019. Yet this transit to Moon by solid, sober Saturn is one of only two transits listed here without an element of dreaminess so perhaps it will provide the Judge with real possibilities he can count on. For when working together Moon-Saturn can indicate ambition, strategy, and direction (Tyl).

As for opponents of the SCOTUS nomination of Judge Kavanaugh, today's position of opinionated Mercury in mid-Leo opposes the Judge's natal Mercury in mid-Aquarius which provides a rather clear image of what's in store as his pre-vetted nomination hearings get underway (assuming he makes it to Capitol Hill to play his role in the Capitol Hill Theater production, Let's Rubber Stamp Kavanaugh! If the GOP can get away with it!)

So any time transit Mercury opposes natal Mercury we expect such potentials as verbal disputes, differing opinions, and questions left unanswered. Sounds like a typical day on Capitol Hill, yes, but the result of this particular charade is pre-determined, no matter what Mercury thinks or says. For after all, Kavanaugh's natal North Node @21Gemini (NN = future direction; destiny) conjoins the 10th house Gemini trio of Donald Trump--his Uranus-NN-Sun--and all conjoin US natal Mars in Gemini--so therefore, all square US natal Neptune in Virgo which can only add to the confusion, deception, and fantasy elements of the Kavanaugh-Trump relationship.

And one more transit--Neptune today @16Pis22 Rx conjoins Kavanaugh's natal Chiron (16Pis49) which suggests to me that something involving his mentor (Chiron in Pisces) is not fully revealed or is being purposefully evaded. Judge Kavanaugh's mentor is said to be Justice Anthony Kennedy whose recent retirement has made Kavanaugh's seating on the SCOTUS bench possible at this time. Is masking Neptune, planet of scandals, fraud, falsehoods, and propaganda, attempting to veil secrets concerning the Kavanaugh-Kennedy-Trump trio and their past financial dealings?

A Saturnian Transit Note re: Donald Trump

As we've previously discussed, all through 2018 'legal eagle' Saturn in transit has been performing a series of squares and oppositions to the natal Mercury-Neptune square of Donald Trump, a fantasist who seldom if ever discriminates between fact and fiction. The next exact such transit by realistic Saturn is another square to his natal Neptune on November 11, 2018, then a final opposition to Trump's natal Mercury befalls on December 10, 2018. As goes POTUS, so goes America.

A Significant December 2018 Lunation in Sagittarius

May 21, 2018: Just posted to my Jude's Threshold blog on WordPress is a DC Horoscope of the Sag New Moon of December 7, 2018 which, as New Moons can do, may act much as a disruptive solar eclipse--a 'wild card' of the Universe. Noted in the post are brief comments on US SP Mars Rx and the ongoing leaky, scandal-prone transit of watery, eroding Neptune through secretive Pisces for which I chose as illustration my botanical drawing of a False Senator wrasse.

Significant is that US natal Saturn (exalted in Libra) rises in Washington DC along with the natal Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter trio of Donald Trump (in his 2nd house of Money) with the trio's problematic tendencies toward speculation, fraud, get-rich-quick schemes, and fantasy world whims--the world where his feverish reptile brain lives. Plus, the New Moon @15Sag07 manifests in wide opposition to the guiding planet of Mr. Trump, his 10th house Uranus, shocking planet of chaos and disruption. This may increase the 'wild card' affect of the New Moon and stimulate the whimsical, quixotic notions of his nibs.

Not mentioned in the above-linked post is the culmination-fulfillment stage of the Dec 7th New Moon at the Full Moon of December 22, 2018 @00Can49. This conjoins one of the four Cardinal World Points of manifestation where global events tend to occur, and as you see, the Full Moon perfects very soon after Winter Solstice 2018 which we discussed here yesterday with its Sun Capricorn-Moon Gemini blend of Earth-Air energies.

On Donald Trump as Clumsy Liar

Well, planet Neptune flowing through its own sign of Pisces is busy veiling the truth on a daily basis! And now that the tally of Donald Trump's lies has surpassed 3,000 since January 20, 2017, the serial lies of the demagogue-in-chief are, at times, unbelievable and sometimes only petty yet his fans can't seem to muster a care. Linked below is a May 5th segment from CNN's Anderson Cooper which asks, does anyone care when Trump lies?

And an accompanying analysis by CNN's Gregory Krieg chimes in with How can Trump lie so much and be 'authentic' at the same time? Here's an explanation which in title alone attempts to mush together two antithetical elements for any astrologer: Saturnian authenticity with Neptunian deception. Meanwhile, I've always been told that truth mixed with a little falsehood is a lie, not a truth, yet we know that in the practice of Politics, a half-truth is very often a useful tool, even before Mr. Trump grabbed the Oval Office spotlight and coup'd the bully pulpit.

Well, all this fact vs fiction turmoil has brought on a quote from my all-time favorite journalist and one of my favorite writers, Mark Twain, whose following words are from his On The Decay of the Art of Lying, a tongue-in-cheek affair...or is it? In it Mr. Twain bemoans "the growing prevalence of the brutal truth" so see what you think but do not fret--for we may safely assume that Mr. Trump has never bothered to read such words as these, and besides--he never needed to since he comes by his lying talent naturally as seen by the square (blockage) between his natal Mercury (communications; thinking processes; news) and natal Neptune (lies, deceit; obfuscation; cheating; fakery). Yes, his 'carnival barker' and 'snake oil salesman' personas come from deep within, are applauded by his brash and rising Mars in dramatic Leo, sign of the showman, and are cheerfully supported by his bright Sun-NN-Uranus trio in duplicitous Gemini, Mercurial sign of the trickster.

Now here's Samuel Clemons, aka, Mark Twain:

Lying is universal--we all do it. Rotting the land? Then maybe Donald Trump has read Twain's words and internalized them as 'authentic' with a spirit of Saturnian seriousness for rotting the land of America seems to be part of Trump's mission--with a lot of help from complicit, overly compromised Republicans.

The 2016 Solar Eclipse That Heralded The Prevaricator

This DC Horoscope image is a re-posting of the 19 North Prenatal Solar Eclipse of both Election 2016 and Inauguration 2017. Its themes still inform the public discourse and affect the current social and political climate with its truth vs fiction, realism and coming down to earth, tackling the truth (Mr. Mueller!), and seeing things for how they really are and not how you'd thought they were (Brady):

As you see, or perhaps remember, transit Neptune, influential in its own sign of Pisces, opposed the 19N Eclipse which denotes multiple negative potentials, some of which are penned upon the chart, upper right. In pink are marked the natal Pluto and Mars of Donald Trump which snug around the eclipse's Ascendant (19Leo40) and form a midpoint picture which is highlighted in pink, lower left: a coercive demeanor that intimidates (Munkasey). And with his already bombastic, imposing personality!

Now normally under the auspices of a 19 North Eclipse conditions would have been more relaxed even as secrets are suddenly uncovered (as all eclipses can do with Uranian flare) but this time we 'gained' transit Neptune and Mr. Trump with his life-long tendency for truth-bending, avoiding responsibility for his actions, and taking credit where it isn't due. His natal Mercury-Neptune square plays right along and describes his fake (Neptune) news (Mercury) antics and the propaganda, misconceptions, scandals, indiscretion, vagueness, deception, and corruption that attend it. Add to this his Geminian tendencies for duplicity and multiple personalities and you get a sneaky Trump hiding behind disguises such as 'John Baron' and 'John Miller' in order to build himself a larger yet false reputation!

Well, hopefully the chart image will enlarge for closer viewing in case you wish to read my notes for I'm tired of typing on this rainy Sunday afternoon in Georgia. However, here is a link to on of my original posts concerning the September 1, 2016 19 North Solar Eclipse sans edits. Cover-ups, leaks, secrets and hidden emotional ties (Vladdie? more ladies? a secret child?), plus, scandals, lies, guilt, and self-pity are embedded within this eclipse chart so perhaps a reconsideration of its implications is merited in light of what we now know of Donald Trump and his personal flaws as he plays POTUS on the world stage, a role he arrogantly assumed would be so easy (or so he said).

As for the eclipse chart with Leo rising, the Sun (leader) rules the chart although Mercury conjunct Jupiter @28Virgo rules the eclipse--details matter, expansive plans implemented, risky reforms are on the menu). Chart-ruler Sun makes four applying aspects to other planets resulting in these possibilities:

1. Sun square Saturn (0A42): a leader expected to measure up and be accountable; 2. Sun oppo Neptune (1A18): vagueness, mystery, disguising one's true self, wearing masks, hidden goals, misconceptions; 3. Sun square Mars (4A47): anger, frustration, challenges and competition, aggression, stress and strain; 4. Sun trine Pluto (5A43): setting priorities, gaining assistance from higher ups (exs: wealthy manipulators and financiers, hidden puppet masters, organized crime figures--Putin? is that you? a different blackmailer perhaps?) Also note that the Sun is the engine leading a Locomotive shape of the planets which denotes a person of ruthless actions determined toward success no matter what.

Oh! And that's Vladimir Putin's vengeful natal Venus in betraying Scorpio at the Foundation Point, the IC of the chart, and in 4th house, a Mars-Saturn conjunction of hard feelings, anger, limitations, and a need for self-restraint over impulses. Add unscrupulous, immoral Neptune to the scene and America is suffering from some seriously eroding power and a leaky boatload of Donald Trump's lies and schemes. Add to the 2016 election and the current US presidency an eclipse in Mercury-ruled Virgo and we have karmic conditions in which a strong sense of duty and honest analysis are necessary for best results, otherwise karmic progress will be stalled if not all together stymied until a later time.

Was Marilyn about to 'tackle the truth' too inconveniently for Politics? You see, correlating the years of 19N with events and the presidents then in office can be quite informative since history doesn't repeat as much as it rhymes.

Thinking-planning planet of youth and communications, Mercury, in Moon-ruled Cancer squares the Moon which denotes irrational, emotionally based decisions, a focus on trivial matters and small details (perhaps for the sake of diversion), and a continuation of fact vs fiction issues that are particularly brought out these days by Donald Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square of misconceptions, fantasies, falsehoods, and "fake" (Neptune) "news" (Mercury); significantly Trump's natal Mercury @8Cancer51 is first to rise of his natal planets though tr Saturn has been opposing (challenging) his n Mercury off and on this year while squaring his natal Neptune in Libra as Saturn does here. Does tr Saturn in Capricorn, Mr Just-the-Facts-Please, represent Special Counsel Robert Mueller or the Senate investigation of Trump? What do you think?

Now both Mercury and Luna prominent in this chart suggest that fluctuations and changes in conditions are on America's Summer 2018 menu with the Moon ruling 1st and 2nd hou$es, and Mercury ruling the 4th house of Home and Homeland--yet Mercury is out-of-bounds of the earthly plane and off on his or her own, isolated perhaps. Also represented by mundane Mercury are reporters, bloggers, pundits, traders, deal makers, consumers, educators, students, motorists, magicians, and tricksters.

Gemini-Sagittarius Intercepted

As you see, the 12th house of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, Large Institutions, Secret Enemies, and Backroom or Hidden Deals contains the sign of Gemini where Mr. Trump's natal Uranus-NN-Sun trio are placed; opposite in 6th house of Military-Police-Civil-Service-and-Daily-Life, Sagittarius is contained via interception which to me denotes Gem-Sag (Mercury-Jupiter) matters which must be dealt with. Now as you know, this axis spotlights Trump's Sun-NN opposite Moon-SN polarity of relationships and ego/career vs emotions/family. Of course, Trump's guiding 10th house planet, eccentric Uranus in chatty Gemini, is involved as well with its preference for leading by chaos, disruption, shock, and revolt. Here, tr Uranus, still finding his (unstable) footing in Venus-ruled money sign Taurus is in 11th house of Groups and Associations and spotlighting activities such as speculation, risk-taking, and taking premature actions that lead to failure (Ebertin). Links between evaluating Venus and disruptive Uranus tend toward extravagance, erratic spending, and/or break-ups in relationships or alliances.

Note that transit Mars, here @9AQ02 in the corporate 8th house, will turn Rx @9AQ13 on June 26, 2018, and Jupiter's Direct Station occurs July 10 @13Sco20 so both are on their stationing degrees in the Summer Solstice 2018 chart. Of interest may be their rounded-up Sabian Symbols: '10AQ" = "A Man Who Had For a Time Become the Embodiment of a Popular Ideal Is Made to Realize That As a Person He Is Not This Ideal" (Keynote: The need to deal with human beings as persons rather than as screens upon which one projects one's dream and ideal) and '14Sco' = "Telephone Linemen at Work Installing New Connections" (Keynote: the need to establish new channels of communications - Rudhyar; (as in diplomacy? surveillance? jc).

So with Summer Solstice 2018 taking place under the auspices of the February 15, 2018 Solar Eclipse (1 South), we continue to be 'flooded with ideas and options' (Brady) though hopefully summer floods are not in the mix. Plus, the karmic 12th house with its Gemini interception contains, hides, forces matters of the previous lunation ('Syzygy Moon'), the New Moon of June 13 @22Gem44 which by degree and darkened light veils America's natal Mars (22Gemini) and activates our tiresome Mars-Neptune square of misdirected motivations and confused or deceptive actions (the fog of war)--and also happens to veil the natal Sun of Mr. Trump (22Gemini) who at the moment seems to be 'calling the shots' (Sun) with little or no input or advice from others.

Marked in green is a Water Grand Trine between Mercury, Jupiter Rx, and the Neptune-MC conjunction (see next paragraph) which provides a calming measure of protection, sensitivity, and good powers of detection though some may act more lazily than they should under its easy influences. Apparently, someone is under protection which may be at work in the background!

Now as always, there are several other cosmic and political factors located in the Summer Solstice 2018 Horoscope but for the sake of brevity I shall only mention one more which perhaps should have been mentioned first and that's Neptune Rx in its own sign of shady, mystical Pisces--at Midheaven (World Stage; Career; The Goal). To me this denotes that America's Neptunian problems not only continue (with the Republican Party being in the midst of its first-ever Neptune Return--last conjunction to natal degree at the end of December 2018), but our national instability and undermining difficulties, falsehoods, and corruption are completely visible to the entire world (MC) along with the fear, paranoia, uncertainty, and confusion that current US leadership suggests. Plus, healing-wounding Chiron @2Ari20 in 10th house is also visible and is apex of the Sun (leader) opposition to law-abiding Saturn Rx @6Cap18, planet of karma and strong in its own sign. This seems to describe ego-bruising of the Trump-Establishment stand-off that is ongoing as I type in April but it remains to be seen how far along such matters will be by June 21, 2018.

But however and whenever the 'RussiaGate' probe ends and whatever its outcome, here we see a picture of karma at work for even the glorious and proud Mr. Trump must at some point in his life reap what he's previously sown--as must the United States of America.

Horoscope: FBI Raids Trump's Lawyer Michael Cohen

April 10, 2018: as you've undoubtedly heard by now, the NY FBI raided the Manhatttan office, home, and hotel room of Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen yesterday "just after 5:00 am" according to the New York Daily News. Confiscated are said to be emails (including communications between Cohen and Trump who 'doesn't email'), business records, documents, an iPad, a briefcase, and who-knows-what-else.

Below is a messily penned version of a horoscope set for Manhattan, NY April 9, 2018 at 5:07 am edt with deceptive Neptune in shady Pisces rising along with fixed star Achernar (crisis at the end of the river; risk of rapid endings). Note that Donald Trump's natal Sun-NN-Uranus is at IC (the Basis of the Matter) which publicly projects his Moon-SN conjunction at Midheaven (relationships and contacts), and of course MC is the WHY? or Goal Point of any chart. Transit Jupiter Rx in corporate Scorpio, sign of secrets, leads a BOWL shape of planets suggesting a 'scooping up' sort of situation while potentials of the Jupiter-Pluto midpoint at MC are penned on the right side of the chart. Note that transit Jupiter has been playing around Mr. Cohen's natal Neptune (19Scorpio) of late and investigating pretenses and deceptions--and will conjoin it precisely after moving Direct on July 10, 2018. The recent conjunction of harsh Mars and Saturn occurred near or perhaps conjunct Mr. Cohen's natal Moon in Capricorn though without a birth time for him his natal Moon could be in late Sagittarius (born August 25, 1966 Long Island, NY; noon Moon @2Cap17, latest Moon position could be 8Cap31--opposite Tramp natal Mercury @8Can51). The April 9 FBI raid's Chiron @29Pis33 conjoins Cohen's natal Saturn @28Pisces--and note that Scheat @29Pisces, a star with potentials for malevolence, extreme misfortune, murder, suicide, and/or imprisonment (A. Louis), conjoins Chiron-to-natal-Saturn near the Aries Point of Fame, Fortune, and Recognition.

Plus, the Venus-Pluto midpoint also rises with fraudster Neptune hinting that concealed financial assets, deception, immorality, and seduction are involved (ex: $130,000 Cohen paid to Stormy Daniels for her silence--and the NDA now asserted to be null and void because Trump--as 'David Dennison'-- failed to sign it...on purpose is my suspicion, perhaps for the sake of 'plausible deniability'). This horoscope is messy because it's what I do. But also because this is a very messy situation full of complex conditions, hidden events and furtive motives which are due to be uncovered, perhaps around the time of the upcoming Solar and Lunar Eclipses (which include a repetition of Trump's own Prenatal Solar Eclipse on July 13, 2018 @21Cancer) so that and other disruptive cosmic conditions for Mr. Trump during the rest of 2018 and very much through 2019 do not look very promising at all for the embattled kingpin-in-chief in the realms of politics, finances, and relationships.
