The People: the buck stops here

We've fallen down on our oversight duties the last several years, haven't we?

We've been coup'd because of our inattentions. We need to correct past mistakes with clear statements and by taking direct action. Shadows must be faced in order to fight the many dragons we face yet the inner dragon is the most voracious of all.

Take one version of the U.S. natal chart--Sibly (5:10 pm lmt), the Scorpio Rising chart, Cornwallis' Surrender to Washington, Jefferson's supposed chart, all for July 4, 1776 (with the exception of the Cornwallis' Surrender chart) and read each placement for its Illumination Point--the opposite degree of the natal position.
Perhaps it's a tiny peek at the inner dragon of the American ego (Sun.)

Ex: US natal Sun "14 Cancer" as it's usually considered in the Sabian Symbols...read "14 Capricorn" for the nation's Essence, True Purpose, and the Ego drive to be important--the Sun (using the "rounding up" method of determination.)

(These Symbols also apply to George Bush's natal Sun (July 6, 1946.)

My preference: to use the one that applies in a fundamental way yet remembering that all is process--the degree before and the degree after (in this case, "13 Can/Cap" --"15 Can/Cap" would be what has just passed "14Can/Cap" and what is upcoming--in an evolutionary sense--is the next degree.)

Here's a personal example from my own Secondary Progressed chart: in the mundane world, I was given the opportunity to move professional locations to a business named, ReVive--when my Sec MC (Career) progressed to "10 Leo": "Early morning dew"...Keyword: REJUVENATION.

Rather descriptive.

Somehow "13Cap" sounds more like that Bush fellow. But how about America?

Here you see the natal chart for Uranus, formerly Ouranus, the Sky God, ruler of ligthening bolts, uprisings, revolutions, originality, awareness...the creative spark.

The Sabian Symbol for Uranus, the Witness, whose discovery expanded the known universe from its former limit, Saturn, is:

You'll notice that Pluto has been opposite Uranus of late, and plowing through the Mars/Saturn conjunction.

Mars/Saturn = tr Pluto: forcing an issue; taking control; strong anger.

Enlarge the chart to see Chiron at his own discovery degree, and today's transits snugged around the chart in my usual chicken-scratch fashion.

Today's Mars/Saturn midpoint is tromped upon Uranus' Moon 15Sco04...

Mars/Sat = Moon: feelings about losing something; moodiness; depression.

You see the 29Leo MC (Aspiration Point) which is conj Fixed Star Regulus, keywords: success if revenge is avoided. Also at MC at discovery is the asteroid Morya. Morya nowadays hangs out ominously with Pluto. You notice that natal Pluto is at the "Medina degree."

Chart-ruler, Venus, not a nice lady when scorned, is conj IC at the HOW Point, the Foundation of the chart...and in nebulous Pisces. The US secondary progressed Sun is thereabouts resulting in a nebulous and murky view of America--internally and externally.

At discovery, perhaps Venus represents Herschel's sister who did more than hold his ladder but never got the credit she deserved (Pisces.)

Sec Sun in Pisces may relate to the rumors of globalist desires to morph America into the North American Union with Canada and Mexico...and perhaps South America, George? They sure don't like ya down there, but you can stay in your Paraguay compound if you like, I wouldn't miss ya.

Well, with no more time to celebrate the 226th Birthday of Uranus just now (yes, I say: yur ahn' nus) I wish the best of the day to this quirky planet so active in the US chart, so disruptive on the world stage.

Bush hearts Press Conference 2.14.07

Yes, I was watching Bush's press Conference this morning and didn't have time to post.

It ended at noon and there was a certain planet conjunct Mc, the Aspiration Point--the WHY Point of the chart--and the planet was....illusive, deceptive, self-deluded Neptune, the thespian, prevaricator, and confuser.

The degree of Neptune/Mc is same as the USA's sec progressed New Moon of Oct 14, 1994 (Sibley chart 7.4.1776). A New Moon is the beginning of a 28-year cycle. The degree is:

"20AQ": "A big white dove, a message-bearer"...*CONVICTION:

pos: a facility for ordering all personal desires in a cosmic framework and a gift for knowing when to act and what to do;

neg/unconscious/shadow side: sanctimonious self-deception.

We can also use the progr'd New Moon (Sun conjunct Moon) with Neptune for this midpoint picture:

Sun/Moon = Neptune: inner discontent; easily upset; illusions or deceptions; the undermining of associations; misunderstandings; shared suffering.

So which was Bush exhibiting today? Or perhaps a better question would be: which has the US been exhibiting for last 12+ years? All of them?
