Obviously the year 1968 is imprinted by ripples from the mid-1960s Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Pluto with tyrannical, explosive, and violent unrest flavors of a titanic generational clash, and the last few years the world has been under the influence of the Cardinal Uranus-Pluto square from that cycle in which issues and ills of the 1960s have been grievously stirred up (so they can be dealt with--but...politics).

Even Jupiter and Uranus entered the collective scene of 1968 via their one conjunction on December 12, 1968 @3Libra which conjoined America's natal Saturn-Neptune midpoint of oppressed classes and social ills and added narrow-mindedness, egoism, excitability, and upset to the secret (Neptune) government (Saturn) picture.

Plus, one of the planetary pairs of Plutocracy met on October 13, 1968 @23Virgo--corporate Jupiter and Pluto. This conjunction occurred on US natal Neptune (mass media; propaganda) which helped to veil the true intentions of Jupiter-Pluto plutocrats, adding potentials for deception, seduction, cheating the people, omitting key facts, lies by omission, and suffering harm or loss through others without being aware of it. Here Thom Hartmann interviews author Jane Mayer whose book Dark Money: How Billionaires Built the Radical Right is a direct uncovering of a group of wealthy anti-governance types who felt threatened in 2009 by the presidency of Barak Obama and set up a "permanent campaign" to "nullify and obstruct" anything he proposed to do as a victorious politician who had run on 'Hope' and Change' (Jupiter and Uranus).

Mayer identifies The Koch Network, men who are neither Republican nor Democrat but are determined to use their outrageous personal and corporate wealth to subvert the democratic process and impose their will upon the US populace. (Any, all, or none are possibilities as are those of the 1993 (Clinton era) Uranus-Neptune conjunction/s @17/18 Capricorn (Global Government/NWO = strong-armed paternalism) which is now in orb of activation by Pluto into: extreme destruction, great losses, and calamities, all of which would be the outcome if a Republican grasps the White House and they and The Koch Network (and its foreign overlords) finally get their wish to dismantle social safety programs such as Social Security--and Veterans Healthcare is also on their privatization to-do list. So it's the resulting Synthesis of these plutocratic potentials we must be concerned about and the too-similar corporate neoliberalism of the Clinton wing of the Democratic Party which, as Benjamin Studebaker so ably asserts, began in earnest with the presidency of Jimmy Carter. Now in 2016 we find that the Democratic Socialism (a la FDR and LBJ) of candidate Bernie Sanders is the only antidote to Plutocracy we have left to us as long as Bernie's 'Political Revolution' comes to pass via a landslide voter turnout in November--otherwise, America's debilitating Income Inequality will be our generation's legacy to future generations.

The Billionaires' Tea Party - Trailer (w/ Uranus in Aries 2010/2016)

When Uranus in transit entered Mars-ruled Aries in late May 2010 it timed many events related to revolt, protest, even riots. Disruption is one of planet Uranus' favorite past times and since 2010 the world has not been disappointed. And for America's 2010 Solar Return in July, Uranus performed a Station Retrograde precisely on the Aries Point (00:00) which, for those who use US natal charts set for a few minutes after 5:00 pm LMT on July 4, 1776 (Phildelphia, PA), announced Uranus in Aries entering America's 4th house of Home--but also the house of Endings and The Drain (IC).

The disruptive shift into US 4th house occurred around the time that the Tea Party rose to public awareness with Uranus in Aries denoting Utopian anarchists and blind zealots (Ebertin). Then as now, everyone continued to agree that America was following a wrong path and some accepted the propaganda that the 'grassroots' movement called the Tea Party could cure politically and socially what ailed us as a nation--and reform Washington Politics where the global criminal syndicate is centered. The last time period that Uranus traveled through Aries was from 1928 to 1934 which of course includes disruptive events and turbulent interventions such as World War I, the Market Crash of October 29, 1929, the rise of Hitler and FDR, fascism taking over Italy--while transit Neptune's continuing path through Virgo, sign of The Worker, helped to undermine employment and social conditions for millions of people--especially since America's natal Neptune is in Virgo (22+).

Of course in 1929, Uranus squared Pluto but Pluto was in Cancer then (transformation of family values), opposite Pluto's current sojourn through the governmental, legal, and business-oriented sign of Capricorn, ruled by tough Saturn. Social upheaval has reappeared under the New Millennium's Uranus-Pluto Cardinal square as extreme measures are being pushed through Congress (many of them hidden within legislation to be discovered and despised later on), fanaticism is prevalent from many directions, and war and weaponry are lifted high as Nationalism and Patriotism are again used by the power elite as shields for hiding an agenda of global conquest. Meanwhile, Pluto in Capricorn = the dictator, according to Ebertin, and from Washington and across the nation we've heard accusations of such behavior by Obama opponents yet my suspicion is that we ain't seen nuthin' yet in that department--wait till Donald Trump (or whoever) takes the Oath of Office on January 20, 2017! Only Senator Bernie Sanders seems genuine to me but we'll see how that goes with primaries about to begin.

Obamaism vs Reaganism: Jupiter-Neptune and Pluto-Chiron

As we read in The Guardian the economic rescue made so necessary by Wall Street culprits and the continuing economic policies first perpetrated under Reaganism have not been replaced or corrected by Obamaism which arrived in the wake of the disastrous 8-year Bush-Cheney regime that undeniably culminated with Financial Crash 2008. That the Obama presidency is historic for breaking the color barrier and began with great hopes for positive change (something the 2009 Jupiter-Neptune conjunction/s inspired and supported) is obvious yet America's Main Street vs Wall Street conundrum remains tucked underneath a whopping income inequality divide. Many people agree that Mr. Obama saved Wall Street but Main Street? Not so much.

To paraphrase The Guardian article many Americans are finally waking up to our massively wide income divide. Yes, but will a majority of us fall again for discredited Reaganomics policies and candidates in November 2016? Will such sleepwalking voters show up at the polls?

Actually the Venus Cycle indicates that voters will demand someone other, or different which usually means a president of the rival party--Republican, in this case. There have been two exceptions to the Venus Prediction as noted by expert astrologer Bernadette Brady, yet 2016 Democratic candidates may be able to fulfill the requirements of 'the other'--Bernie for his Democratic Socialism, Hillary for her gender. However, in the Republican stable, Donald Trump may suffice due to his not-a-politician condition and even Ted Cruz could because he was in Canada though disqualified he may turn out to be.

Now those readers who were around Stars Over Washington since 2009 and before know that I have typed a large amount of words concerning Jupiter and Neptune as a pair of energies that represent potentials for 'the grand spirit, visions, big promises, flowery religious sentiments, get-rich-quick schemes, fraud, waste, speculation, hypocrisy (Ebertin)--and irresponsible, abusive, or reckless financial mismanagement. Political conflicts are also within the realms of Jupiter-Neptune (ex: Republicans vowing failure for President Obama since Day One). Such readers may be familiar with astrological principles and if so, they have not missed the significant synchronicity of the three 2009 conjunctions of Jupiter and Neptune perfecting upon the US Moon in late Aquarius as seen on July 4, 1776...mundane Moon = We the People.

The blend of this grand influence of the societal planet of expansion (Jupiter) and urge-to-merge Neptune (often a leader in fraud, falsehood, deception, loss, failure, and planet of The Masses, The Media, and propaganda) led us in 2009+ to be exploited by our dreaminess, by falling into a swoon, having little sense of reality, becoming involved in speculation and fraud, losing ourselves in plans which brought waste, loss, and instability for a majority of the public. That America's natal Neptune @22Virgo conjunct fixed star Denebola (to go against society) obscures Barack Obama's natal Mars @22Virgo made the use of Jupiter-Neptune = natal Moon easier for those who were aware of the significance of such cosmic occurrences that were timed to chime with our newly elected "rock star" president (Mars-Neptune).

The Neptunian veil cast over Mr. Obama's Mars denotes a lack of clear vision or understanding when it comes to the president's actions and motivations (Mars) which he and his backers have hidden behind when acting in secret. Neptune veiling Mars also accounts in part for the lack of trust in President Obama and we all suffer from this constant refrain from Republicans whether we share their distrust or not.

And of course, Mars is the warrior planet but this post is more about financial issues even though the Pentagon is next after Wall Street and the Fed on my financial mismanagement list since global copping and conquest are very expensive to maintain as are US military bases, CIA annexes, prisons, and our embassies all over the world.

So now, since the 1980s (or even the 1970s), we have increased Income Inequality thanks to a society that has devolved into more of a US Plutocracy than the Founders set it up to be. And as we face the November 8, 2016 Election/s, only a large voter turn out by Democrats can hope to deflect the GOP ('grand old plutocrats') from taking the White House and playing the decades-long game of Democrats grow the economy--Republicans harvest it dry (thereby creating more beggars out of the rest of us). This is a game set up by hidden hands secreted away in their European lairs (headquarters such as the City of London and the Vatican Bank) and it is somewhat visible in the World Bank, the IMF, and the Rothschild system of central banks that throttle the world's finances and resources while continuing to enslave the people via debts that can never be paid off. This exploitative condition between the 'haves and the have-nots' can be further described in Astrology by the Pluto-Chiron pair and all its -isms including Capitalism, Communism, racism--and primal violence.

Yes, the much-touted New Millennium has shown as a timing device for enslaving the world more tightly in the raptor's grip--in finances, total surveillance, politically, you name it. The current Pluto-Chiron cycle began with their conjunction in late 1999--at 12 Sagittarius, conjunct America's Ascendant in her late afternoon horoscopes of July 4, 1776 (I tend to use 5:09 pm LMT since it places 00Aries at IC though our Scorpio Rising chart is also descriptive). Therefore, Pluto-Chiron-r-us. But did Plutocracy need to announce its arrival as the New Millennium began? Many people were awake and aware of its tightening grasp upon our nation and government pre-1999 with the 60-year Pluto-Chiron cycle involving a transformation of mass consciousness, an expression of a mass need (Nolle)--and this we now hear in the campaign rhetoric of both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

Plus, how can we not wake up? The Sabian Symbol for 12 Sagittarius should have opened our ears back in 1999 into 2000: "A Flag Turned Into an Eagle That Crows"! Odd how the Bush gang had draconian changes to our traditional principles and freedoms ready to implement just after the attacks of 9/11/01--as if part of a plan. One question for 2016: is there a presidential candidate who isn't part of the plan? That's the one I want.

So since Democratic Socialist Senator Sanders is calling for a political revolution and because of his reform ideas and the fact that a Pluto-Chiron conjunction appears in the natal horoscope of Karl Marx (Marxism! Socialism!), I suggest that Pluto-Chiron's expression of a mass need is primarily the need to close the glaring gap in incomes in the US and beat Plutocracy of any political stripe back into its dungeon where it belongs if our allegedly democratic republic is planning to exist into the future.

July 8, 2015 Strife on Wall Street: The NYSE Experiences a Major 'Halt' of Trading

The founding data of the New York Stock Exchange is based on the 'Buttonwood Agreement' of May 17, 1792 but it's the NYSE Reorganization horoscope of May 11, 1869 that contains a crisis-laden YOD pattern with a Uranus-Pluto sextile pointing toward natal Saturn Rx @15Sag33. The YOD was activated or triggered at the halt of trading yesterday (July 8, 2015 11:32 am edt NYC). Apparently there was a crisis in 1869 which required the 1792 stock exchange to be reorganized and those energies have carried forth into 2015, always subject to transits and progressions.

Both horoscopes (1792 and 1869) remain operative for the Wall Street casino they call the NYSE and though the trading volume of the exchange is much less than it once was (10% these days but only 2% at 11:32 am yesterday!), the crisis situation of the "internal tech glitch" that shut down their computers after a morning of lower volume and messages sent out concerning gateway issues resonates with the implications of a natal YOD and the pattern's crisis/turning point and special task connotations. Even the health of the NYSE and other markets around the globe could be affected by yesterday's halt. Will there be more such events to come?

Since natal Saturn (1869) is in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, we know that the gentry of the NYSE like to retain their control, authority, and power which were lost for 3 hours and 38 minutes yesterday as technicians worked to bring the exchange back to life (reopened at 3:10 pm edt with the transiting Pluto-Chiron midpoint of Plutocracy exactly conjunct IC). This position for Saturn also denotes those for whom reputation is of primary importance, and pundits began speaking of loss of confidence and the image of the NYSE while the outage was in progress. No doubt we will hear more of such suppositions as the story plays out in the media.

Besides the YOD emphasis on the 1869 Saturn, the planet is also the 'handle' of a Bucket pattern of planets and as such, provides a release point for the natal energies (planets) in the horoscope and shows an uncompromising direction of the NYSE's purpose with undertones of the Jupiterian influence of Sagittarius. That Jupiter and Saturn are the 'societal planets' and their cycle relates to markets, investments, and finances spotlights their basic expansion vs restriction principles of our dualistic world.

Plus, hidden hints exist if we substitute the natal Uranus @14Can26 conjunct US natal Sun and SIRIUS) with yesterday's transiting triggers, Sun and Mars (planet of attacks including those of a 'hacked' variety):

Well, there's my brief analysis of yesterday's NYSE crisis as viewed through the lens of the 1869 YOD with its 'special task' and crisis potential. In case you missed it, the website of Bill Moyers has published an excerpt from a new book The Age of Acquiescence by historian Steve Fraser.

The book concerns the Robber Baron era of Industrialism, the 1880s into the 1900s (sometimes called the 'Generation of Materialism' or 'The Gilded Age') and relates the era to America's current 'gilded' conditions. The complexity of today's conditions is addressed as the book notes an obvious difference: then the populace rose up against the inequities, oppression, and exploitation perpetrated by the Plutocracy and their political enablers--unlike today's watered down efforts by a largely apathetic public.

Since the founding our nation, America has had a 'materialism v spiritualism' conflict (Saturn v Neptune) and perhaps we may say that Alexander Hamilton and the monarchists have won. And unfortunately for most Americans, the November 4, 2014 mid-term election outcomes in Congress will prove this tragically the case as 2015 proceeds along with SCOTUS' 'Citizens United' treason against the foundation of our alleged democracy.

Now if you're in the mood for a little Astrology concerning such topics, perhaps you'll consider the Robber Baron-Gilded Age era as timed by the Taurus New Moon of April 28, 1881. A Brief View of the Stars Over Washington DC

When Pierre L'Enfant laid out three major landmarks of the Federal City he reflected the triangular pattern of three stars in the heavens: Arcturus (the White House), royal Regulus in zodiacal Leo (the Capitol Building), and Spica (the Washington Monument.) In the Zodiac two of the stars are in Libra as astrologers use them now yet constellation Virgo is the prime influence upon the planners and architects--the Freemasons--of Washington DC.

Arcturus (alpha Bootes; Greek: the Bear Watcher; aka, Al Simak by Arabian astrologers--'the one on high') conferred its guardian function upon the Executive Branch of government with the White House situated so that its inhabitants could 'keep an eye' on Congress and vice versa. However, subsequent constructions within the Federal Triangle have interfered with such a function as L'Enfant (and Andrew Ellicott) intended.

Another diverting of L'Enfant's original plan for the 'Dream City' of George Washington is the Washington Monument which had to be re-located due to its weight when the cornerstone was laid at noon on July 4, 1848 when the Moon and North Node (aka, the Dragon's Head) were in Virgo. Previously the White House cornerstone was laid at noon on October 13, 1792--also with the Moon and Dragon's Head in Virgo. George Washington laid the cornerstone of the Capitol Building on September 18, 1793 with Sun, Mercury, and Dragon's Head in Virgo.

All cornerstone layings were performed with Masonic ceremony including that for the Federal City itself (April 21, 1791 at 3:30 pm, also by Freemason George Washington.) The City's natal Jupiter of 1791 falls upon the 23rd degree of Virgo, the position of our national Neptune (July 4, 1776) which is actually a transit to America's natal horoscope indicating potentials for spiritual awareness, inspired expansion, and promotion yet with fanaticism and paranoia lurking underneath. Well, it seems that Jupiter-Neptune themes of fraud and grand promises are embedded into Washington DC--and therefore the nation and the US government--from their very founding.

Another important star closely associated with America is SIRIUS which the Sun (leadership) conjoined in Cancer on July 4, 1776. When Sirius is linked into the gestalt of a horoscope it lustrously shines and brings wealth, success, and good fortune in government yet Sirius may also scorch for its energy is strong and hard to handle well--in fact, honesty is required for best results. Sad to say, our current crop of government-undermining entities and agents are proving themselves fanatically determined to scorch America's wings and besmirch our nation's centuries-long reputation as the One Nation Among Many and an idealistic model of the light of freedom, equality, and independence for the entire world.

As for America's extreme leaning away from democracy toward plutocracy now coming to fruition, we see it partially through the Virgo lens via The Virgin holding wheat sheafs or corn (the matrix of life.) These are nurturing symbols also associated with goddess Ceres, another feminine archetype with an Isis vibe. (Two examples are found on top of the Capitol Dome, and in New York harbor via the Enlightenment/Illuminati-infused Statue of Liberty made of copper, the metal of Venus.)

And when we look to America's natal Venus in nurturing yet business-loving Cancer and to our natal Ceres in Pisces, we find evidence of Corporatism (US Venus conjunct corporate Jupiter) and Plutocracy via our Pluto-Chiron midpoint of oppression and primal violence conjoining US natal Ceres (security; food supply.) Unfortunately, we've bowed to Science and allowed Corporate America complete control of our food supply and the farming industry and now it's easy to see one particular result--Monsanto's genetically modified, patented seeds which can't reproduce and must be re-purchased for each planting.

(Weather modification affecting climate and planting seasons that tend to create conditions of famine are beyond the scope of this post though you can certainly think of several other examples of corporate interference that cause and will cause much suffering and loss for the people when the power elite decide the time is 'right'.)

Yet in spite of it all and even though the entire project of expansion into the New World we call 'America' was funded by and as a corporation, it does not necessarily follow that We the People must be trampled underneath the hooves of wealthy plutocrats who intend to depopulate the globe so that there are more natural resources to nourish them!

So will you vote in November 2014 and show the world's greedy plutocrats that the American people are determined to keep our republic on the democratic side of history's ledger? I hope for the sake of our nation's future and the future of our children that you will.

Looking at a horoscope set for Washington DC of the March 30, 2014 New Moon @9Ari58 we find the lunation of new beginnings squared by the Jupiter-Pluto opposition and about to conjoin, each in turn, quirky radical Uranus @12Ari19 (a critical degree). In the District of Columbia where I twice dwelled the New Moon falls in 9th house of Foreign Lands and perfects at 2:44:40 pm edt (using SolarFire Gold v8 software).

For this New Moon the 16 North November 3, 2013 Solar Eclipse @11Sco15 remains in effect with its 'inspiration, illumination of ideas' Uranus-Neptune vibes, and in the New Moon chart for DC affects the 4th house most closely.

Rising is 13Leo44 so we immediately know that the New Moon will affect President Obama whose natal Sun in Leo is rising. There is a YOD pattern of 'special task; crisis; turning point' dimensions formed between Pluto and Chiron which point toward the New Moon's Ascendant (in DC) and thus, to the president's natal Sun. Therefore, his goals in life, hero's journey, and ego are involved with the sextile (60 degr) of Pluto and Chiron at the YOD's base, and as you know, Pluto-Chiron is the Plutocracy pair of oppression, primal violence, racism, socialism, communism, etc.

A Pluto-Chiron sextile describes those with a finger on the public pulse and those who may act as spokesman for the community (R. Nolle, Chiron the New Planet in Your Horoscope). And we know President Obama has a way with words and that he speaks on behalf of unknown entities and backers at times--well, maybe all the time. Don't they all?

So Pluto-Chiron is a supporting factor in this rather plutocratic picture since the Jupiter-Pluto combination also may be described as Plutocracy--and is, by none other than Reinhold Ebertin. Naturally the fact that transiting Pluto continues to oppose US natal Sun (the president) is being highlighted since Mr. Obama's struggles with strong forces--whether the Federal Reserve, political opponents, and/or Russian dictators--is in the news constantly so I won't bore you by providing links in this post to such political tales--you and I both have been inundated by them every day since Barack Obama took office in January 2009 by sore-loser Republicans in particular.

So with the New Moon at 9Arie58, it seems a gander at what Adriano Carelli has to say about '10Aries' may be of interest. His symbol for this degree is: "Saint George slays the dragon." Mentioned in explanation are 'courage, successful ambition, reaching the highest standing', and 'an exceptional career'. Sounds presidential enough, yes? Also, Carelli adds a potential for 'clairvoyance' and 'prophecy' for '10Aries'.

Here's a peek at the famous tempera painting by Bernat Martorell of Saint George Killing the Dragon and the Wikipedia info has other famous depictions along with the images tale itself. Yet I doubt mention is made of 'the dragon' relating to the Nodal axis, with North Node being the head of the beast and South Node being its tail!

When Plutocrats Are in Need

A rather astonishing email has arrived from a special Friend asking me to provide $3 for work that Washington Democrats should already be doing. For they do draw quite generous salaries from public coffers after all.

Yet admittedly I do prefer Democrats to control the House especially considering how cravenly Republicans have mooned the American people since 2009 and even now, as of December 28th, they withhold benefits for the unemployed while they themselves enjoy another undeserved holiday break.

We don't even know if Republicans will cooperate well enough to extend unemployment benefits after Congress returns to Capitol Hill on January 6, 2014 but I hope on the way to casting a vote they don't trip over their selfish, austere ideology which has proven many times to be excessively generous toward the wealthy elite who are in need of nothing yet they can't muster a dime for those who actually are in need--and who would bolster the US economy by spending it pronto. Why, monarchic Republicans and their enabling Democrats act as if tax monies are only theirs to spend and funnel however and wherever they wish, and that We the People should butt out of such lofty elitist decisions.

Puh!

Well, this dissenting American asserts once again that the majority of our politicians and other public officials are in breach of the public trust and, of course, have been for many decades. Many of them no longer pretend to do the tasks for which they were elected, it's just that after several years of Corporate Governance, embezzlement, theft, and fraud become much more difficult to hide successfully from the prying eyes of the fleeced. However, upping the level of outright brazenness helps their anti-American cause progress and that they've certainly been accomplishing while continuing to scam voters with glowing campaign promises and with political slogans that, as it turns out, have no merit in them for those who wish to retain a sovereign America.

And yet, no matter how outrageous Washington's sorry behavior becomes (and it will), we must not give them the fight they really want--millions of Americans in the streets with symbolic 'pitchforks' for government forces are surely amply armed and ready for us with tanks, drones, and otherwise. Besides, violence is never the answer to any problem and its use on our parts would shove us down to their reptilian-brained level where oppressive Pluto-Chiron's plutocrats and oligarchs dwell in the squalor of bad intentions.

Anyway, I hope my special Friend doesn't mind that I'm hereby publishing his email to little ole' me for it's certain that many of you received the same or a similar missive recently. Perhaps only the amount requested is different, but the cheekiness remains the same...

Say what you like about the famous aviator's Nazi-style political leanings, here is what his father, Rep. Charles A. Lindbergh Sr, said about the signing of the US Federal Reserve Act in December 1913 (after most congress members had left DC for the holidays--to shove the bill through in spite of their opposition--or to give them political cover?):

“This Act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President (Woodrow Wilson) signs this bill, the invisible government of the Monetary Power will be legalized...The worst legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency bill.”

And here is what President Wilson said about his own complicity though I doubt he went far enough with his mea culpa - was intimidation involved?

With only 6% of US financial assets held by Credit Unions and by banks that are actually banks (which along with non-profit credit unions) benefit the middle class, working families, and small businesses, the monarchical, corporate-ruled, foreign-infiltrated US Congress is being encouraged by Wall Street mega-banks to tax credit union banks. Wall Street and its handmaidens on Capitol Hill are working claw in glove to proceed with this economy-weakening plan in which We the People are the losers and the weedy grealthy win yet another jackpot at our expense.

For the big banks feeling 'disadvantaged' by their non-profit colleagues (exs: Bank Robbers of America, Goldman-Sucks--juvenile nicknames, yet descriptive), it's about undermining the competition so I hope you'll check out CU Tax Letters Stack Up at Congress' Door which explains the situation much better than I can grouse about it (I switched from a big-name bank years ago to a credit union bank and I much prefer its lower fees which will subsequently increase under the proposed taxing plan.)

So if we care about this issue, we mustn't only lament until the perfidy is made 'law' but we must make some loud noises with our own representatives!
