Thom Confronts Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) On His Lies - videos

Well, I for one am glad that Thom Hartmann is riled up in this segment concerning Obamacare, Senator Barasso's remarks, Republican states that refused Medicare and Medicaid expansion, and the shady 2000 Election where Mr. Bush's latest slogan "Jeb Can Fix It" clearly reminds us of how Jeb Bush fixed the 2000 presidential election for his oilman brother, as Thom explains. Although I cannot find it online I do remember a video clip during Bush's 2000 campaign of W and Jeb on an airplane boasting into the camera, "It's in the bag!"

And yes. It was. Stuff happens. And Jeb fixed it, all right.

Now it's 15 years later which is more or less a Saturn opposite Saturn phase from Election 2000 to Election 2015 if not 2016--maybe that's one way to describe the adolescent childishness from much of the Republican field down to "children's table" debates and the candidates' 'new debate rules' foot-stomping to get their dainty way with the networks or else. Yet to me it seems that Jeb's poll numbers will have to be ginned way up before whatever "fix" he and his team are planning for November 8, 2016 to make a Jeb 'victory' seem at all plausible to the American public. Maybe Republicans will rely on rigged voting machines, voter suppression ploys, and a few other traditional tricks of the win-at-any-cost political trade.

Politicians! If cheating is the only path to 'victory' it doesn't bother them all...even though cheating isn't winning. It's stealing.

US Mars: Guns Against The People: From Gemini Direct (1776) to Retrograde (2006 - 2086)

As you know, America's progressed (SP) Mars symbolically turned retrograde during Summer 2006 and is visiting its thwarted, frustrated energies upon home soil while being only partially successful in the wider world. Our SP Mars continues to represent police state violence against the public, mass protests on various issues, gun and other violence against the innocent including children, veterans' health problems and lack of timely care, distorted actions and motivations at home and abroad, and many other events and conditions we both could name.

Mars the Warrior Planet

During the Bush administration I blogged here and possibly elsewhere that US Mars turning Rx in Summer 2006 symbolized on one level Washington's misadventures and misguided interventions in the Middle East and US troop re-deployments and over extensions--that Bush had 'broken' the US military as shown by our Rx Mars, planet of soldiers, troops, and war. This was simplistic of course since W. Bush (and Jeb who signed on for the Iraq War even before his brother did) was in league with certain shadowy elements who control the US government and determine who is nominated and subsequently selected to play the role of 'US president' and who decide our war waging abominations. President Obama would not be president if he were not in league with 'higher forces' as well. You may naturally disagree but there it is, and it is the reason why Senator Bernie Sanders will never be president though you may have read or heard lately that it's because he is Jewish. In spite of that, unless the senator falls in with the supranational-global-conquest narrative, he will not be the Democratic Party nominee--though thankfully his #FeeltheBern platform places many of our most dire issues into the public discourse and under Hillary Clinton's hawkish nose.

As for the above interview (very informative I might add), we find our Mars Rx being discussed whether David or his guest, Ladd Everitt, know it or not. Astrologers know it for the ancient art of Astrology is an excellent tool and language with which to understand events, conditions, and people on a deeper level. And of course Astrology has the advantage of adding the element of time to any analysis so unfortunately we must see the 80-year retrograde period of Mars as a long slog, a time when the US government should reign in its global conquest urges rather than attempting to expand US influence in the world.

This need to reign in US power in the world is also shown astrologically by America's SP Full Moon of December 2008 (horoscope with Dec 2008 transits shown) which was spotlighted in the Financial Collapse of 2007--2008 (aka, the Great Bush-Cheney Heist.) Sadly for the American people (and the world) the US government, its minions in Washington, and its supranational bosses did not heed that call for limitation and moderation either and such irrational hubris will eventually lead to more hardship than we've already experienced along with what many people, non-astrologers included, recognize as the dissolution of America in preparation for global governance, aka, as a "new world order". This leads me to believe that the 'power elite' in charge, the shadow government, never intended to reign in US dreams of eternal glory at all because collapse and dissolution of America was and remains their devilish goal.

Also note that recent news items concerning the 'Shemitah reset' spotlight 'exceptional' America and its refusal to moderate its activities such as reigning in usury interest rates, corruption, military invasions, etc--much of which is timed by Bush's theatrical bullhorn performance atop WTC rubble--the wrong response to a critical evolutionary lesson brought by the attacks of 9/11/01. However, current releases from the US prison population actually do resonate with Shemitah imperatives. Hopefully there will be adequate follow through to welcome those released back into society with jobs and places to live as they begin their lives over.

Are American Families Milked Dry?

These days an American family trying to live on $30,000 per year or less can't do much consuming, can they? I find it difficult to believe that they can keep up with excessive cell phone, internet, and TV service costs let alone health and car insurance, car payments, plus, rent or a home mortgage. And everyone knows that We the People are charged the highest rates for health care and pharmaceutical drugs in the world--as if we're still the greedy corporatists' favorite cash cows!

Caller: What About Dismantling the Federal Reserve? - video (w the Fed's New Moon)

Here a caller to the Thom Hartmann Show questions the continued existence of the Federal Reserve Bank which many people believe causes the economic problems it then pretends to rush in and solve. Thom replies to the caller and adds historical information about Richard Nixon taking the US off the gold standard:

As you know, Senator Aldrich along with bankers and corporate operatives met in secret in late 1910 in order to plan the creation of what became the Federal Reserve Bank. This planning session of sneaky "duck hunters" has a Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior) which perfected @8Sag49 during the secret meeting on Jekyll Island, Georgia. To me, the karmic degree (8Sag) is more revealing of the Fed's genesis than the Sabian Symbol for the rounded-up degree of 9Sag though of course both degrees (word pictures) apply. Saturn, Uranus, Criminal Justice, and Old vs New

Those who use, study, or practice Astrology know that America's natal Saturn in Libra, sign of the Scales of Justice, is in astrologese considered exalted. Yet since July 4, 1776 when Saturn was at 14 Libra 48, America's Secondary Progressed (a year for a day) Saturn has since retrograded by progression and is now at 3 Scorpio (since 1996 if memory serves--Bill Clinton!) This is quite a different influence for Saturn--forceful Mars-Pluto rather than evaluating Venus. This transit affects many areas of our government, business and legal systems, and other realms that Saturn rules--including systems. Restriction, inhibition, limitation, authority, loss, karma, accountability, responsibility, reward for hard work--you name it and transiting Uranus, planet of upset, upheaval, rebellion, riots, protests, anarchy, and (when Uranus is in Mars-ruled Aries), a signal for blind zealotry, violence, and fanatical fights for ideas has tipped America's Saturnian apple cart in unexpected, unpredictable ways.

Yes, dreamy Utopians have gained quite a bit of ground against the status quo that establishment Saturn tends to prefer. That the US Congress is a target is actually predictable, however, since Saturn also rules lawmakers such as senators and representatives, many of which are or were lawyers.

Included in this transit is the theatrical event on Capitol Hill this very morning when Saturnian John Boehner handed over the Speaker's gavel to a new generation in the person of Uranian Paul Ryan and this may be partially described by transit Uranus opposing US natal Saturn when a 'new order' is demanded. At 10:47 am edt this morning, John Boehner announced Paul Ryan as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives. Let's take a quick peek at the cosmic atmosphere of the morning which will also influence the tenure of Rep. Paul Ryan as the Speaker. As you know, in Sun-Moon blends we glean the conscious energies (Sun) and the unconscious energies (Moon) blended together. Naturally the rulers of the signs involved add their flavors to the picture--in this case Scorpio's Mars and Pluto and Gemini's Mercury, planet of votes, voters, announcements, and speaking.

At 11:10 am edt, Nancy Pelosi presents the Speaker's gavel to Paul Ryan. He speaks and calls John Boehner "a class act." Remember that Mr. Boehner was one of the upstarts when he came to Congress, now he's been ousted by current upstarts. As Astrology says, how we begin is how we end! (Ryan ends his speech at 11:24 am, his swearing in is next and will be administered by Rep. John Conyers...oath at 11:25 am..."I do" at 11:26 am edt. His reign begins.)

Sun Scorpio-Moon Gemini is a misty, ethereal Water-Air combination and as you might expect, tears were shed. Water-Air is imaginative, theatrical (perfect for politics and Capitol Hill), and communication but with an undercurrent of 'divine discontent' (which is often supplied by the Tea Party 'Freedom Caucus' members.) Specifically, Sun Scorpio-Moon Gemini denotes potentials for emotional restlessness, volatility, wit, insight, and an ability to defuse awkward situations and move ahead. Wouldn't a return to regular order be refreshing? Well, Speaker Ryan just called for it.

What Have You Always Wanted to Know about Social Security? video

Oct 29, 2015: With tears (of relief) in his eyes, this morning Speaker John Boehner gave his farewell speech to the House, Democrats offered Nancy Pelosi's name for consideration (Minority Speaker), and Paul Ryan went round shaking hands as the Republican nominee. Yes, I am glad Rep. Ryan stood up for weekends with his kids which shows personal priorities in the correct order. It's now 10:30 am edt and the vote is being taken though of course the 'Freedom Caucus' Republicans may stage a protest vote for Daniel Webster (R-FL) to no avail. It is expected that Speaker John Boehner will announce the name of the new Speaker in a few minutes.

And even though it's good to see the US Congress moving forward, my primary fret is that a vote for Paul Ryan is a vote for Ayn Rand (who gladly collected Social Security benefits in her old age, let's not forget.)
