The GOP, Dictatorship, Plutocracy, and Powerful Pluto

Today transit Pluto @29Cap13, a critical 29th degree, shows that the planet of sabotage has yet to reach Aquarius and remain there; this won't occur for good until January 2024. Meanwhile, with US 1776 Pluto in Saturn-ruled Capricorn @27Cap33 Rx, America is experiencing her first-ever Pluto Return, a three-fer which can be seen in the tri-wheel image, below; you'll find astro-details in a previous post:

Now obviously, the Capricorn placement of insidious, power-grasping Pluto relates to America's Plutocratic and Oligarchic conditions since day one; also note that our 1776 Pluto-Chiron midpoint of exploitation conjuncts 1776 US Ceres, asteroid of democracy, and of our food supply controlled and adulterated by corporate Plutocrats. Tellingly, Reinhold Ebertin gives Pluto in Capricorn a description of the dictator. These are the difficult energies and forces that pro-democracy types in government and in society have fought against all along. Among other things, America's Pluto Return/s may be considered a timing device for the surfacing of these power issues which culminated in 2022 but are ongoing.

So if curious enough, we might even compare events in year 1776 with year 2022 events since historical cycles tend to rhyme in similar fashion. One example: economic royalists oppressed us then (via King George) and now we fight oppressors hiding behind the masks of Republicanism with 'maga' extremists the more violent of the saboteurs of our freedom, independence, civil rights, and democracy. After all, monarchical rule is a form of dictatorship, yes? Then through the repeal of Roe v Wade by SCOTUS justices of the Catholic persuasion, we saw Vatican interference boldly peeking through, with one of Pluto's mundane roles of manipulation being 'the Pope'. Now there's a foreign power for ya, though certainly not the only one with selfish interests to promote in the US.

Astrologically, the time period is extended by using America's Secondary Progressed ('SP') position of Pluto @29Capricorn+. But whether we consider this or not, our nation has entered her second generation of Plutonic energies so that the 1776 Mercury-Pluto opposition is re-energized and re-activated, primarily through the power to influence the masses, and to control communications, knowledge--and wealth.

"American Carnage": A Violent Demagogue Appears

So as we know, the democracy vs authoritarianism issue reared its head big-time once Donald Tr*mp became the figurehead of bigoted authoritarians in the US and elsewhere (many of whom still bristle with resentment from our Civil War days, and/or from Hit*er's defeat) so that Tr*mp's escalator announcement to a paid audience at NY's Trump Tower on June 16, 2015, was timed by the morning's Gemini New Moon. As many people realized then or have realized by now, Herr T's destructive intentions were telegraphed during his initial "prez bid" announcement. Meanwhile, in 2022 into March 2023, Mars returned to position in the June 16, 2015 New Moon horoscope. In fact, that morning's 'Prez Bid' New Moon conjoined aggressive warrior planet Mars (suggesting violent acts), all within Trump's natal 10th house of Career and Public Status where his Uranus-NN-Sun trio of radical reforms hangs out.

As noted, transit Mars returned to position in Trump's 2015 New Moon chart three times, most recently: twice in 2022, and once in March 2023. Not that transit Mars hadn't hit the chart before, but 2022 and 2023 are the focus of this post. For as you know, the 2024 campaign season has already begun--and Election 2024 is projected to be America's "AI election" of deep fakes and even more desperate power grabs.

So one factor I'm personally keeping an eye on is the transit in August 2024 when warrior planet Mars returns to his Gemini New Moon position of June 16, 2015, a lunation cosmically yoked to Tr*mp's presidential ambitions. Besides, you know that hotheaded Mars symbolizes Tr*mp with his Mars rising, right?

J6 Senator Tommy Tuberville's Planets

On the Wikipedia page of J6 Senator Thomas "Tommy" Tuberville (R-AL), now blocking 184+ military promotions, ostensibly to protest the US military's new abortion policy, we find that the former Alabama football coach was born September 18, 1954 in Camden, Arkansas with an Earth-Air personality blend of Sun Virgo-Moon Gemini (from 16Gem01 to 22:58). This suggests an imbalance of strength on the mental side, weakness on the emotional side. Last I heard, Senator Turberville sits on both the Armed Services Committee and the Veterans' Affairs Committee but it only takes one senator under Senate rules to block such promotions and he's grasping the ball and running with it (with "coach" Trump's approval, one suspects).

See USAToday: Former Pentagon officials on Tuberville blocking nominees turns them into "political pawns" which details the negative consequences - further harm to our country's national security being one of them.

So! Below are two horoscopes: a 'noon' version of Tuberville's natal chart, and an accurately timed horoscope of his 10 South Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') which occurred June 30, 1954 @8Can10 conjunct Trump's natal Mercury with the degree's (possibly disturbing) Sabian Symbol, "A Tiny Nude Miss Reaching Into the Water for a Fish."

This makes me wonder about certain chart factors such as his PE's Neptune = Venus-Mars (penned on the chart as, perversity) and 10 South's themes which are also listed on the chart, highlighted in orange, and which could suggest leaving his coaching career (think Jim Jordan) for a safer, more lucrative career in politics. His natal Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and its conjunction with Uranus suggests fortunate advantages, lots of travel, fortune-hunting, and a leaning toward political reformist activities.

Now the last 10 South Eclipse occurred in 2008 @10Leo (conjunct Trump's natal 12th house Pluto = Mars-Saturn of death), and the next 10 South Eclipse repeats on August 12, 2026 @20Leo conjunct the natal Mars of J6 plotter Patrick Byrne.

DC Horoscopes: Autumn Equinox 2023 and Winter Solstice 2023

Just a fairly simple publish of two dual chart images. They're the same dual images except that the first charts are unmarked and may be suitable for printing, the second charts have been messily marked up by yours truly with my study notes for the curious reader.

Both horoscopes are set for Washington DC:

Autumn Equinox 2023 (lower left) with 9Leo52 rising - and the lustful 7 North Solar Eclipse of April 20, 2023 @29Ari50 conjunct Autumn EQ Midheaven (Goal Point: Jan 6th Mars in the spotlight), and Winter Solstice 2023 (upper right) with 10Vir02 rising and a revealing 8th house midpoint picture of Jupiter-Neptune = Chiron, a cosmic echo of Trump's 2nd house Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter trio of speculation, fraud, scandal, political conflicts - and his wounded belief system. In fact, Chiron @15Aries (truth seeking) opposes Trump's natal Chiron @15Libra (which values competition--M. Pottenger).

That Autumn EQ Mars conjuncts Trump's boundary-breaking stationary Jupiter suggests the exaggerated role he has and will play in society into next year, plus, upcoming legal decisions for or against him along with possible financial and/or political settlements reached.

Then at Winter Solstice 2023, transit Mars conjuncts the December 12, 2023 New Moon @20Sag02 (and conjuncts Trump's natal South Node, then his natal Moon: anger; separation; more belly-aching and a new cycle of activity) suggesting that rash actions and violence are potentials - in other words, he'll be hot under the collar, with possible health consequences such as thyroid or other glandular issues (R. Ebertin) or even stomach ulcers (M. Munkasey):

Reality and a Fantasy-Prone Seditionist

As we see on his Wikipedia page, election denier, "Deep State" conspiracy theorist, former paramour of Russian agent Maria Butina, and former CEO of Overstock dot com Patrick Byrne, was born on November 29, 1962 with Sun and Mercury in early Sagittarius, and Moon in late Sagittarius, or more likely in business-and-government-oriented Capricorn.

From August 2019, see Overstock investors cheer after "too controversial" CEO Patrick Byrne resigns as CEO and board member. Apparently, Byrne's romance with Russian agent Maria Butina may have been the last straw for company investors--see a previous post Maria Butina's hearing on Capitol Hill showing the hearing's horoscope of December 12, 2018 with transit Saturn @9Capricorn conjunct her natal Neptune, the "grim face of reality" transit.

For as with 'everything Trump', reality vs fantasy plays the key role in cheating for success, aka, fraud. Astrologically, there's even a cosmic time link between Trump's Big Lie and The Eclipse of Fan-Boy Patrick Byrne, anti-democracy election denier and known promoter of conspiracy theories galore - a perfect co-conspirator for Trump.

And as reported in May 2023 by Sam Levine in The Guardian, Dominion is not done fighting 2020 elections lies via pending defamation cases against Rudy Guiliani, Sidney Powell, pillow guy Mike Lindell - and Patrick Byrne.

So above is a noon natal horoscope for the "mad king" who was present at the 6-hour Oval Office meeting with Trump, Mike Flynn, Sidney "Kraken" Powell, and others on the night of December 18, 2020 until after midnight of December 19th, after which came Trump's "will be wild" tweet (timestamped tweet's horoscope shown, his 2nd hou$e taboo-breaking Jupiter rising) which served as a call to arms and led to his January 6, 2021 coup attempt against the US Congress to stop or disrupt our tradition of the peaceful transfer of power. (Sore loser cries wahhhh!)

Now as you see, Byrne's 19 North Prenatal Solar Eclipse ("PE") is penned on the above chart (conjunct the 'noon' Descendant) with themes of: "realism; coming down to earth; seeing an old situation for what it really is; tackling the truth" (paraphrasing B. Brady).

Where the cosmic time link comes in is the fact that an eclipse from Byrne's 19 North Eclipse Series occurred on September 1, 2016 (@9Virgo, opposed by deceptive Neptune @10Pisces) and operated as the PE of both Election 2016, and Inauguration 2017. That's fact-based Virgo opposed by deceptive Neptune, planet of mass media, in shady, confusing Pisces - and there's Herr Trump "tackling the truth" - with his 'Big Lie'.

Now it's 2023, another presidential election has been held (and lost!), and America's orange albatross is still trying to tackle the truth - out of existence! Perhaps we can agree that Trump's entire political "career" has been one long reality vs fantasy fiasco for the American people and for democracy. But that's what We the People get when a violent mobster, racketeer, money-launderer, and conman is shoehorned into the Oval Office with a little help from his comrades, and gullible voters. Plus, the words, blackmail and bribery easily spring to mind along with favors and pay-offs.

So let's return to our consideration of Patrick Byrne's PE which links him right in with Trump's underhanded activities. For Byrne, his 19 North manifested on July 31, 1962 @7Leo48 (rounded-up to "8Leo" = "A Bolshevik Propagandist'). Note that with a solar eclipse in Leo (his Mars sign), one must avoid pride and arrogance for karmic progress to be made. And on July 31, 1962, restrictive Saturn Rx @9Aquarius opposed his natal PE which suggests a man who refuses to face up to his karmic obligations, and places blame for his problems upon others; to correct problems reality must be faced and corrections honestly made. Oops. Funny how this sounds a lot like Patrick's idol, Trump.

In addition, often-deceptive Neptune @10Scorpio squared Byrne's PE which indicates potentials for "inborn fraudulent tendencies" and "chicanery"; "realism and honesty" are necessary in order to erase karmic debts (paraphrasing R. Linemen). This implies inheritance from his father, who must be his role model in business matters, I imagine - which also sounds like Trump and Papa Fred. Byrne's Eclipse and Saturn formed a T-square that points toward Neptune in Scorpio, not the best indicator of morality and, unless temptations are avoided, the placement involves more than a tinge of sex and/or drug abuse.

Byrne's Closest Applying Aspect to Natal Sun

Then there's the domineering "might makes right" attitude shown by his Sun-Pluto square (lower left) which resonates closely with similar Plutonian character traits of Donald Trump. This particular square tends to be a negative for relationships, especially when expressed in the realms of "romance." Still, it suggests that his ego (Sun) was determined to achieve his goals and objectives, with the 'success at any cost' potential for powering through any and all obstacles. Obviously, a strong will is indicated. Oh, but there's more determination --

The Highly Motivated Natal Mars of a Busy Boy

Now before closing, we should mention Patrick Byrne's Mars (@21Leo) which is unaspected in his natal chart by another planet yet is influenced by his powerful Pluto-NN midpoint (penned on the chart, upper right), plus, Mars leads a Locomotive shape of the ruthless executive with the rest of his planets following along. And if you read his Wikipedia bio page, you may be impressed by the large number of his business and political activities through the years. Unaspected, his me-first Mars in dramatic Leo is able to act in an unrestrained, boundless way and with sudden outbursts of anger or aggression; irrational actions can result (B. Tierney).

As for Mr. Byrne's 19 North PE repeating in time to influence Election 2016, he may have exulted over the thought that his barge of Plutonian domination, forcefully driven by fellow fantasist Herr Trump, had finally reached safe harbor in the White House, then in December 2020 Byrne plotted with the others hoping to repeat the 'successful' results of Election 2016 despite the will of a majority of voters in November 2020.

Because for some people, "might makes right," doncha know.

Let's Save Democracy in America!

Expanding the Supreme Court could dilute the bizarro reich-wing 'handmaiden' leanings of a largely Catholic SCOTUS whose decisions of late have lost the Court credibility among a majority of We the People. Adjusting the size of The Bench has been done before and is warranted now. Here's recent commentary concerning the issue from progressive broadcaster and author Thom Hartmann:

Then for a little cosmic input, a previous post displays the SCOTUS 1790 horoscope (first session), and here from July 2nd just past is SCOTUS decisions: Law and Domination, a post concerning the successful power grab by the US Supreme Court via their February 24, 1803 decision famously known as Marbury v Madison (1803 horoscope shown), a decision which shoved the unelected branch of the US government above the US Congress and far above The Will of The People in what should be our democratic Republic.

So with the weekend upon us, here's a famous quote that's been in the sidebar of SO'W for years. It's from Justice Louis D. Brandeis was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 13, 1856 with Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Gemini, and served on The Bench from 1916 to 1939:

"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both."

And we don't have both.

We have a rapidly expanding American Oligarchy ruled by economic royalists--unless a majority of US voters wise up and Vote Blue every chance they (we!) get. July 2023 Trump: a YOD of crisis spotlights his Mars in Leo

Another Look at Trump's Mars Return 2023

At the end of June just past, we discussed the July 4th Mars Return 2023 of Donald Trump (chart shown, above). The incomplete YOD of crisis pointing toward his natal Mars @27Leo on that day has moved closer to exactitude so here are a few additional notes on a YOD pattern (crisis or crossroads) with an apex Mars; note that such a pattern when ready to be expressed can also indicate a karmic opportunity for progress, but what are the chances with a vengeful grudge-holder like Trump?

At its base: Neptune sextile Pluto (awakening of the masses to spiritual or karmic forces) inconjunct Mars (motivation, action, energy; in Trump's case: aggression, egoism, zealotry): When ready to express but ill-managed, apex Mars here suggests potentials for displaced anger, aiming his hostility at inapropriate targets. An acute crisis situation induces the need for self-sufficient actions. Severing past ties and rapid adaptation are necessary in order to proceed along a new path, but mismanagement can result in fateful consequences due to (Trump's) rash, disruptive actions. As we see, his vengeful actions and insults these days are only making things worse for him in the legal realms.

So perhaps this is where Trump's rising Mars with royal Regulus comes in with the star's traditional caution: success if revenge is avoided; if not, all that has been gained will be taken away.

Then to complicate matters for our country, Mars @27Leo inconjuncts US 1776 Pluto (27Cap33) which denotes die-hard competitors who cannot accept defeat, even when wrong, and dogmatism is part of the picture. Thwarting them triggers violence, and this is a permanent condition since it's Trump's natal Mars--which also happens to oppose (target) US 1776 Moon (We the People) in late Aquarius in our July 4, 1776 late afternoon chart/s (DoI). The violence by and on behalf of Trump ("American carnage" promised and delivered) we've seen and experienced across the country, so no more need be said.

SCOTUS decisions: Law and Domination

When the Supreme Court decided Marbury v. Madison on February 24, 1803 in favor of William Marbury, the legislative branch of government that we now call 'SCOTUS' (Supreme Court of the United States) flexed its muscles and established itself as being above the US Congress as the final judge of constitutionality with the power to overturn acts of Congress. The decision defined the constitutionality of the Judiciary Act of 1789 and, as the dual horoscopes show, reveal an "urge to impose one's will on others" (Sun = Pluto-NN). Intellectual domination is their thing along with "taking over leadership" (Moon-Mars = Ascendant) via Marbury v Madison.

In addition, there are other interesting planetary factors in the two horoscopes, below. Upper right is the decision's Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') in which the decision took place a mere 3 days later (3 North Saros Series, the PE Series of 9/11/01 and of the CIA), and lower left set for the speculative hour of 10:00 am LMT, a Horoscope of the Marbury v Madison decision with 21Tau14 rising, a degree notable for its appearance later in this post, plus, the Moon-Mars midpoint as mentioned, above:

Saturn: Planet of Law, Government, and Karma

Now back in a very busy 2020, we discussed how the June 13, 2020 Mars-Neptune Conjunction landed directly upon the SCOTUS 1st session's Saturn, planet of law, authority, structures, systems, control, lessons, tasks, management, consolidation, and karma. Shown is the 1st session's horoscope of February 1, 1790 with Saturn @20Pis55. So knowing that transit Saturn is now in Pisces, we see that the SCOTUS 1790 Saturn will experience a Saturn Return in early 2025. More about this in a future post.

We also see that nebulous Neptune by transit, the watery planet of erosion, dissolution, deception, inspiration, mysticism, visions, fraud, and disappointment, has spread itself all over the SCOTUS Saturn in Pisces as recently as late 2021, which indicates several possibilities such as disintegrating traditions and/or structures, authority figures (ex: justices) who are not as honest as they should be, the promotion of high ideals and ethics, or strange or misguided notions.

Now you know that we've seen many of these potentials express via "conservative" justices like Thomas and Alito who, as members of a group of Roman Catholic justices, are having a grand old time legislating from the bench. Of course, this is exactly what the Supreme Court is not meant to do but Marbury v Madison seemingly puffed up the entity's self-image to overblown ego status.

Anyway, if you're like me, when SCOTUS repealed Roe in 2022, my first thought was that the Vatican had finally had its anti-abortion way in the US despite what the majority of Americans prefer (never mind us, we just live here). If you wish, check out the Roe v Wade Overturned Horoscope (June 24, 2022) with the repeal's North Node of destiny @21Taurus--conjunct the North Node in the Vatican City State 1929 Horoscope. Seems mighty clear to me: the repeal of Roe was timed by the Vatican City's Nodal Return. A coincidence? Not to me it isn't, considering the church's long-held stance on abortion.

Plus, there's another cosmic time link in play around these issues: radical Uranus, planet of disruption, chaos, separation, and zealotry, hit the very same 21 Taurus degree on June 30, 2023, the day the most recent SCOTUS decisions were "handed down" from on-high.

So let's close this fussy post with a few potentials of the Uranus/North-Node duo quoting from Munkasey's Hegelian Dialectic form of analysis (any, all, or none may apply especially with erratic Uranus involved):

Thesis: The changes which accompany new efforts to alter the direction of events; alliances which follow revolution or unexpected changes in leadership; help from others who assist with modernization activities.

Antithesis: Revolution for the effecting of popular changes; business changes which evolve with society; treaties for modernizing facilities which benefit another more; a society that does not appreciate modernizing (sounds like regressive Republicans, so-called "conservatives," and radical magas).

Well, we may disagree on this, but in the US "conservative" justices on the SCOTUS bench have 'altered the direction of events', all right, with the hierarchy of the Vatican pulling strings from "on-high." After all, one of the many roles powerful Pluto can play is "the pope."
