'Oceania' seems a thinly veiled reference to America as 'Atlantis', don't you think?
Is anyone there? Back from holidays? I'm about to leave again for the weekend for festivities continue here (even Sun Caps must have birthdays sometimes) so slam a door to let me know you're echoing around in here...hmm? Wouldja?

Well seems to some of us that "1984" came marching in and loudly. I will in all of my life remember when that page for the Supreme Court came marching out and announced the decision that 1) we could not proceed with a recount because that might mix up Bush's chances (yes he did say that in so many words) and 2)the action they took could not be considered "precedence"even though everything the Supreme Court does is to set precedence,
ReplyDeleteI remember watching this in the dark winter evening with my aged mother resting on the couch,my mother who taught me that I was a Democrat and the Richard Nixon was a very bad man and with her Saturn in Libra remained my moral voice and when I said "Mama! he can't say that!! How can he say that Mama?!" And she shook her head slowly saying "Oh Baby!! I don't know I just don't know!!" For me that was the beginning of the nightmare. I am too sophisticated not to know that things had long been out of control but these people stole the election right in front of us and NOTHING HAPPENED and we went through the following eight years and NOTHING HAPPENED.
