Native Americans are particularly insulted and unhappy over the genetic modification of manoomin which is one of the indigenous words for the "wild rice" that is native to Minnesota and the general region.

ReplyDeleteIntentional, as evidenced by the University of Minnesota's wild rice modification program. I don't know where the program stands at this time, though. Maybe a victim of budget cuts.
