January 13, 2020 a Sun-Pluto-Saturn Sort of Day

January 6, 2020: Below is my messy rendition of two horoscopes, both set for a significant day, January 13, 2020, when the Sun shines directly upon Pluto @22Cap48 at 8:21 am est (documents received: Mercury-ASC), then upon Saturn @22Cap53 at 10:15 am est (pretense and deception: Neptune-ASC). Perhaps this represents a foreshadowing of things to come. Charts are set for Washington DC, mundane Sun = leader or leadership, underworld Pluto and legal eagle Saturn are karmic planets that wear many hats and will precisely conjoin their energies on January 12, 2020 @22Cap46 when their conjunction will perfect upon Donald Trump's natal Vertex (22:51), a point with potentials for fated encounters, changing work conditions, endings, and/or wish fulfillment.

As you see, a YOD pattern of crisis, turning point (a crossroad), special task, and/or a karmic opportunity is present at 8:21 am (see lower right) which obviously relates to any or all of our current circumstances which you know very well if you keep up with the news of the day.

My study notes are penned messily upon the image for those who wish to read them and as usual, your on-topic comments are welcome (no ads) and Shares are appreciated:

Because planets have many possible connotations, political astrologers limit their focus to those connotations likely to bear upon current crises.
Saturn is associated with history, record-keeping, documentation, accounting, and consequences.
Pluto is associated with massive influence, wealth, and power, So...large effects.
Jupiter has similar connotations to Pluto IMO. Jupiter about to conjoin South Note, ian indicator of deep existential insecurity, including (national) identity crisis--an insecurity which may, however, be expressed as compensatory belligerence and bluffing.

TY TrikonaBindu Good points! Yes it's impossible to include all possibilities for all planets in a post and I appreciate your addition! Jude

Jude, Thank you for all your work and for putting out this enlightened blog! I love your take including Sabian symbols as well as the other works you cite. I've been a casual student of astrology (reading and re-reading Robert Hand mostly) since the 1980s.

For those of us who are less hip than you obviously are, would you consider making an 'astrology for dummies' page for those like me, who love to follow along, but who get confused by abbreviations, and meanings of things like your common 'Mercury-ASC' type symbols? A key for your posts would be most welcome! In the same vein, it would be great for us to be able to see the meanings of basics like 'what does the Vertex' indicate in one's chart? And definitions of YOD/ Fist of God and the like. Also, a post on full moons and eclipses and the meaning of the series' you refer to would be great.

I can manage the conjunction, sextile, square, opposition and trine, but the rest is all Greek to me!

I love your musings about what might happen, or not, from a specific celestial event, and would love even more of these!

In gratitude

Sharmaine, that's a fabu idea esp since some of my shorthand is what I've always used in my notes and I doubt that anyone else uses them. Somewhere - I think on SO'W which has 5,000+ entries now so I'll have to search - is a post with political astrology meanings or something explanetary such as that. But your idea is even better! With all that going on now I'm as chronically behind as everyone else. :(

Here are a few: ASC = Ascendant (cusp of 1st house); MC = Midheaven (cusp of 10th house); Desc = Descendant (cusp of 7th house); IC = Immum Coeli cusp of 4th house). Sometimes these chart Angles are referred to as Points that provide information: What? ASC; Why? MC; Where to? Desc; and, How? IC. You know--like a journalist or a writer would ask. jc
