America's Saturn-Uranus Cycle

With America's Saturn-Uranus duo of July 4, 1776 in a beneficial trine relationship of progressiveness and an ability (of our Founders) to blend past and present values together for best effect by joining historical perspective within the context of the actual moment, I share this with you today as radical, unwanted reforms loom directly ahead.

Their ability was to successfully couple inventiveness with common sense (A. Oken), yet as we know, one political party nowadays in the US has completely lost - or purposefully tossed out - their ability to behave with common sense. Apparently, the 1854 party's 2017-2018 Neptune Return/s effectively eroded any common sense they possessed and morphed it into cultism, fraud, deception, and mass delusion in their search for grabbing 100 years of power - at any cost.

So being of a Mercurial nature, today I've been searching for America's initial Saturn-Uranus Cycle (first moment), a chart which could be useful for comparing transits and progressions at any point in time.

The two planets met - one signifying the past- tradition-law, the other the future-progress-change - on May 14, 1761 @7Ari42, as we see in the Horoscope displayed below.

Please note that the following Horoscope set for 4:27:01 am LMT (NS), in Philadelphia may not depict their only exact conjunction prior to July 4, 1776 but it's the one I'm going with for now in their approximately 45-year cycle; also note that this planetary pair symbolizes Israel-Palestine but this ancient topic is well beyond the scope of today's limited post - even though this very day Peace in the Middle East may have been brokered by President Joe Biden:

Because hopefully, a dear reader such as yourself might enlarge and/or print the Saturn-Uranus Horoscope of May 1761 for future reference, if need be. Meanwhile, a list of Events of 1761 contains some very interesting historical information if you're curious. Events involving tension, separation, and/or "unyielding politics" would be three influences to look for, plus, natural events. Then two famous ones are the wedding and the coronation of King George III and Duchess Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz with both ceremonial events occurring in September 1761.

Well, isn't this 'great' news for American democracy just prior to our July 4th celebration? Apparently, voter suppression is fashionable with the political class no matter the time of year. Farron Cousins reports:

How prominent is planet Uranus in America's natal horoscope and the American psyche? True enough but then there's US natal Saturn, planet of conservatism, authority, austerity, responsibility, restriction, authenticity, laws, government, business, the past, and the status quo, exalted in the sign of Libra in our July 4, 1776 panoply with all the diplomacy, balance, fairness, and scales of justice the sign confers. Yes, it's Plato's Ideal (Uranus) poured into Saturnian Form--and the form became the New Atlantis, that Utopian Dream of Plato, Bacon and others, with a capital city ("on a hill") that morphed into the New Rome of Washington DC, determined at all costs to conquer the world.

Yet with our nation's Uranus at 8 Gemini and Saturn at 14 Libra, this Airy (mental) duo of exciting ideas and decent values had moved beyond an exact trine (120 degrees) by July Fourth but had engaged as such off-and-on in their beneficial trine aspect denoting that our early American revolutionaries went on to earn the freedom they enjoyed through taking measured risks. Optimism in the future and adherence to ethical standards aided our early rebels in their quest for a New Order of the Ages as shown by our ethical Libran Saturn and futuristic Geminian Uranus.

So which planet is more descriptive of America's core values?

Republicans are fond of saying that the United States is a conservative nation. In part, of course it is. Yours truly is conservative in some ways but progressive in others for everyone has both Saturn and Uranus somewhere in their natal charts and if both planets express, then why not a blend? Yet America was founded upon the ideals of freedom, independence, and equality and has long been touted as 'the only nation founded upon an ideal'. Agreed. And that ideal and the novelty and genius of our founding is most closely described and identified by Uranus in Mercurial Gemini with Plato's Ideal a model!
