Of interest may be today's MSN report Trump has 'botched' his whole tariff plan with a slip of the tongue.
But has he?
Well, as you know, the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 failed to improve the dire economic situation in the US after the "Black Tuesday" Crash of October 29, 1929; notably, the tariffs did not "protect" US farmers and other workers, as was promised. The 1930 Tariff Act was signed into law by President Herbert Hoover on June 17, 1930 under the auspices of a 4 North Solar Eclipse of restraint, restriction, and illusion. "Liberation": from our money and savings?
Fast forward to a few days prior to Tr*mp's so-called "Liberation Day" of April 2, 2025 when he announced in the (Venusian) Rose Garden a long list of risky tariffs on imports from countries around the globe (but not on Russia). It turns out that his announcement of tariffs is cosmically imprinted by the third of three Jupiter Returns to the "Black Tuesday" Crash Horoscope of 1929, and this creates a cosmic time link between 1929/1930 financial concerns and those of 2025.
Plus, money bags/corporate Jupiter's return to its 1929 degree (@15Gem25) perfected the day prior to the difficult 9 New North Solar Eclipse @9Aries on March 29, 2025 with themes of accidents or great physical effort (ex: Senator Cory Booker's 25-hour+ marathon speech on the Senate floor).
Shown below are two solar eclipse horoscopes which manifested in two different Saros Series but in the same degree ("8 Taurus"). When this circumstance occurs, the earlier and later eclipse themes may combine, particularly if societal conditions and events warrant it, and their blended themes may 'run in the background of society'. For as we know, history can rhyme with the repetition of similar events resurfacing to be better or more successfully dealt with. Or not! Because all eclipses are karmic "wild cards" and are Uranian in that disruptive, bolt from the blue sort of way.

In 1930: Saturn-Pluto = Uranus: "Brutal efforts to start a new order" (N.Tyl). This planetary trio actually forms a dynamic T-Square with radical reactionary Uranus at critical degree and apex in the 8th house of Shared Resources and Transformation - see their midpoint picture at the bottom of the 1930 chart, highlighted in blue.
Now I'm uncertain how much clearer the current-day saboteurs' motives can be considering the "carnage" being perpetrated upon American society and on the rest of the globe with a worldwide economic crash being feared along with unwanted government reforms. However, there is a bright ray of hope to be found in the 2 Old North Eclipse chart of 1892 and it's due to the fact that 2 Old North happens to be the Prenatal Eclipse ("PE") of tariff-lover Mr. Trump, and its theme extends to us the possibility that, though things seem "glum" at first from the receipt of unfortunate news (the tariffs), fast action can bring positive results. This we can hope for!
Yet realistically, there are too many factors in play to be certain at the moment, but the potential of improvement has assisted the orange fellow all through his charmed life. And yes, with his usual overblown risk-taking tendencies, he promises much increase from these tariffs so all we can do now is wait and see if the glumness everyone feels will lift, or if it tosses us all away.
