Got Obama Disappointment? US Neptune = Obama's Mars

Writing in The Independent, Johann Hari presents The Real Reason Obama Has Let Us All Down (which translates into a Saturn vs Neptune face-off.)

Now I agree with the basic ideas Mr. Hari poses yet it seems to me that GOP undermining from Day One has something to do with how the Obama presidency has not been as effectual as most of us wanted it to be by now. The legendary American impatience is involved as well, yet the article certainly gives a run down of the areas and ways in which we have been disappointed by Barack Obama.

And if you've ever read this blog before (or study Astrology yourself) you may remember that I fretted quite a bit over the fact that America's natal Neptune 22Vir25 and Barack Obama's natal Mars are closely conjoined which, I thought - uh-oh! - would veil the public's eyes from seeing President Obama's actions and motives (Mars) for what they really were and are. The lack of clarity, fuzzy dreaminess, and adoration exhibited by 'rockstar Obama' voters in the early days of his term are so perfectly described by our shared Mars/Neptune conjunction that it isn't funny.

The whole situation isn't funny at all, of course, for those of us who wish America to continue in decent fashion. But the rose-colored sunglasses of glamorous Neptune have made it difficult to face the facts - even now, with a clear-eyed assessment of our disappointments (Neptune) with Obama's failures and deceptions (Neptune) laid out in an article such as Mr. Hari's. Yes, facts and accountability are the provinces of realistic Saturn and not part of Neptune's cloudy, watery realms at all.

But feeling let down is. Plus, US natal Neptune is in Virgo, the sign of work, health, and service!

Ex: If you and a friend were born with one's Mars conjoining the other's Neptune, it can be 99% guaranteed that 'clear-eyed' would not describe your relations and dealings unless the one with Neptune was spiritually honest and on the up'n'up - fraudless and genuine, you might say. And the person with Mars (planet of action, energy, and motivation) could easily get away with all manner of things - basically whatever he or she desired - a confusion which also falls into the 99% range of probability. Others might see the Mars person's true motives, but the Neptunian in the equation probably never would (and would prefer not to.)

Perhaps the walk-on-water Apollo sun god that many of us expected or dreamed of for all our problem-solving needs has had other things to do of a more...material nature. Such as taking care of the wealthy bankers and other power eliters who installed him in the White House. To imagine that it was simply we-the-people who put Mr. Obama in the Oval Office is yet another Neptunian delusion we need to break free from.

So when/if the GOP takes over the House and/or Senate next week, you won't be too surprised for it's another chapter in the globalists' America-down-the-drain script. Then once again, we-the-people will know (or should know) we're being royally had.

People don't get Obama. On the one hand they don't see beyond his color and liberal supporters and think he is a promoter of a far left agenda. On another hand they don't see beyond their own projections and fault him for bending too far towards the right. In fact, he is and always has been a centrist. He is mainstream America from his hybrid roots to his capitalist vision of the American dream.

It is amazing how we the people are constantly in an uproar, at one another's throats over which party...by now it should be absolutely clear that the rich and powerful have, through the Laffer Curve and 30 years of constant deregulation and outsourcing, have hollowed out what used to be middle class America. But then, we have Fox and the AM bank with their Fractured Fairy Tail version of both America's history and present. And we have the tax cheat and co-conspirator Tim Geithner who aided and abetted Hank Paulson and Ben Bernanke to take care of the rich and powerful and leave what's left of the middle class homeless and in a ditch out of which we'll be lucky to escape in the next decade because...yup, the rich and powerful sent all the middle class jobs overseas. Gonna have to fight like hell to keep Social Security, the minimum wage, Medicare, Medicaid going cuz they're now looking at those bundles of cash cuz, of course, those of us who've paid our way into those programs are the ones who are inordinately "entitled". Sickening. Just sickening. And those who'll vote the Tea People in are in for a very nasty surprise...the lobbyists and others on the D.C. turnstile are lining up to "show them the ropes". Any hope in the next decade, Jude? Crossing my fingers you'll find a "yes" somewhere. Thanks for letting me vent.

Hi libramoon, agreed, the people's Neptune to his natal Mars = "people don't get Obama"!

As i'd posted udring the 2008 campaign, his status quo Saturn Rx in Cap fights his Aquarian Jupiter trying to take the lead though it must be pretty jumbly in his noggin with such a dissociate yet close conjunction between the societal planets. His 00AQ Jupiter Rx conjoins US Inaugural Sun (as you know) and, in 2009, Inaugural Mercury Rx...quite a planetary pile-up of political proportions. jc

"Sickening" is the perfect word, Anonymous. The wealthy built much of their wealth upon the backs of poorer men and women yet they now begrudge us SS benefits we paid as taxes upon our mostly underpaid work!

Sad to say, the next 10 years won't be long enough to restore America to her former credit-based glory and I doubt that's what we should hope for anyway - a castle built on sand didn't work so well, did it? When the oppressors become the oppressed, the boot prints of revenge are heavier than the people deserve - as always, it's warmongering leaders and their enablers who deserve to fall.

America's Sec Full Moon in Dec 2006 told the culminating tale but few would listen at the time - it was our society's peak for a long long while and fell across the Vir/Pis victim/savior axis.

Not very hopeful, I suppose, but the planet's trajectory is toward an ultimate need for an earth reincarnated! Through-a-glass-darkly politics trips us up now but I can't see them having anything to do with the complete regeneration we need! jc

Anonymous, the typo gremlin caught me in my last reply: US Sec Full Moon on Dec 24, 2008, not 2006. So its culmination energies quite perfectly timed the 2008 Financial Collapse and the end of the Dubya presidency. jc

Agreed, we don't need a return to the credit based economy. A second coming of FDR would have been nice...and perfectly appropriate now that the mega multinationals are flush with $450 billion in profits which would pay 5 million people a $50K salary (about the mean). Add to that a stimulus program based not on tax breaks which never in 30 years have done anything but go to offshore bank accounts, but a stimulus based on a building boom of high speed rail and alternative energy with the taxes returned to the federal balance sheet, together with a return of the tax brackets from Clinton's time. (Don't get me started on Clinton - it wasn't so much the trouble he had with his zipper as it was his sellout to the rich and powerful at the expense of the greater good). Isn't there any progressive/liberal politician with the courage of his/her convictions willing to go over the heads of politicians and speak to the people? And I don't mean the Saturday afternoon NPR 3 minute spiel that no one listens to....No need to research that. Again, I'm just venting. This is not rocket science. It is merely a matter of common sense, basic morality and following a 75-year-old recipe for success. With the world looking more towards austerity (except for the Chinese), the hole's gonna get a whole lot deeper. I would gladly settle for a sound economy and democracy, recognizing all the amendments, not just the few the psychos on the far right want. Head desk.

Thanks for answering my last comment. Again, feel no need to do any research on my behalf. An early wish for a great weekend to you.
