Will US billionaire donors aid Americans, too?

Excerpt: Two weeks ago, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and 40 other billionaires pledged to donate at least half of their fortunes to philanthropy, either while still alive or after death. Is America a country so blessed with affluence that it can afford to give away billions, just like that?

Oh yes, I've wanted to post something about this since it was announced because if Mr. Gates and Mr. Buffett and pals want to aid someone, why not struggling Americans? Didn't much of their fortunes generate from US shores, at least originally? The Land of Opportunity needs a little help from her friends, if she can only find them. Bill?

For a view from abroad on the topic, here's the Der Speigel article I snagged the above excerpt from which discusses the American Middle Class, now perilously at the top of the endangered species list, and the generosity of US philanthropists.

America's demise is simply part of the power elite/world crime syndicate's stealthy globalization agenda. We see it now 2+ years after the worst financial collapse since the 1930s as big banks hoard and squirrel away billions in profits while US jobs that were 'outsourced' over the last decades are never to be applied for again.

Perhaps Mr. Gates can donate some mega moola to protect Microsoft jobs from the axe next time, hmm?

And you know, it enraged me years ago when it was revealed that phone service jobs sent to other countries meant that the private account information of US citizens were then available for viewing (or whatever) by foreign workers and other entities who might wish to nose into our private business in an unsavory fashion. This is precisely the kind of foreign economic intrigue that President Andrew Jackson fought against though its exact form was unimagined in his day, of course.

Say what you will about Jackson (and my Cherokee heritage will be right there with ya), he knew what dangers lurked in the merging of US interests with who-knows-whom and the extreme stupidity (if you care about US sovereignty) of America intra-banking with nations which we might one day wage war
against. A narrow view perhaps, but a salient point nonetheless.

Nowadays, our globalist-minded politicians act like everything is hunky dory, we just need to 'prop up' the capitalist system and keep it creaking along. Obviously, and by all accounts, there's still big money to be made by following such a shakey course. Not for America's Middle Class, but for mysterious someones.

Meanwhile, astrologers know that Pluto's transit through Capricorn will eventually lead to a Pluto Return for America which, due to Pluto's 248-year orbit, naturally will be the first time in US history - and to the destruction and transformation of Capricorn institutions such as business systems, law, government, and banking.

Even America's history (Cap/Saturn) is ripe for a major rewrite by
He of the Invisible Helmet

Now 2022 brings us a Pluto Return for the US if our nation remains intact by the time the global power elite and world banking cartel get done fleecing us in the 12 years hence.

Here is a brief astro-snapshot of 2022's US Pluto Return/s (n Pluto 27Cap33 Rx - '28Cap' = "A Large Aviary") which, due to Pluto's retrogradation, is a three-fer:

1. Feb 20, 2022; Hour of Jupiter; Mercury/Mars = Pluto criticism with a pasion; knowing just what's wring with the world; involved in big arguments;

2. July 11, 2022; Hour of Mars; Mercury/Saturn = Mars: turning drive into tyranny; risking everything to make one's point; no compromise; Saturn/NN = Jupiter: rebellion; freeing oneself from stress; the generation gap;

3. December 28, 2022: Hour of Mercury; Moon/Pluto = Saturn: constraint; depression; pressure to regroup forces and plan anew; inclination to feelings of loss; Venus/Neptune = Saturn: a new look at realism is needed; fear of losing the dream; Sun/Mars = Neptune: difficulty concentrating; feeling off track; possible loss of vitality.

(All midpoint pictures from th eexcellent Noel Tyl; all, any, or none may apply and are subject to transits and progressions.)

Ah, yes: fear of losing The American Dream of Prosperity - which now seems to be morphing into The Chinese Dream. But maybe it will morph yet again by 2022.

A further note on the global elite take-over: it's being reported today that even Fidel Castro is interested in such plans being implemented by the shadowy Bilderberg Group!

Elections in Afghanistan August 20, 2009

In time for today's New Moon in Leo, voters in Afhanistan have turned out in spite of Taliban violence and threats.

Here's a report from abroad from Der Spiegel which we may assume to be Pentagon-filter-free. Or not.

Is Larry Summers Obama's Cheney?

Did Germany's Angela Merkel manage to straighten out President Obama's faulty financial thinking during her visit to Washington?

A view from Germany seems to be that President Obama is making economic mistakes galore - is financial ideologue Larry Summers Obama's Cheney?

"Khamenei has never seen a crisis like this"

For information on the demonstrations going on in the streets of Iran since the presidential election of June 12 and insight into the politics behind them, check out Der Speigel's interview with Afshin Molavi, Iran expert who was born in Tehran, raised in the West, and is author of 2002's Persian Pilgrimages: Journeys Across Iran.

Mr. Molavi has worked at the World Bank in the past and is now at the New America Foundation. Hmm...anyway, he does understand his home country and has insights into its political and religious rulers, if you're interested.

Today Iran's Supreme Leader, Khamenei, sent his people a warning to stop expressing their displeasure at being victims of massive election fraud, or else. And with websites shut down and foreign journalists tossed out on their ears, a crackdown in the streets is apparently on the Persian menu; plus, some say, arrests have been and will be made by the Revolutionary Guard even after protests end.

My prayer is that the wonderful Iranian people will be safe from brutality, yet I don't know the answer to their election recount demands. But I do know that several million ballots could not possibly have been counted by hand and the winner known a mere hour after the polls closed!

Obama abroad: a view from London and Cupid's Love

Der Spiegel has a report on Pres. Obama arriving at 10 Downing Street, London to excited applause on Wednesday, April 1, 2009.

He's being branded the world's best hope or some such nonsense for one mere mortal to handle and definitely the possibility exists of being set up to fail, because no mortal can help but fall off a golden pedestal of exalted praise and admiration!

Still, this little Pandora is hiding a tiny *ray of hope in the dark corner of society's box of ills. Pandora, the asteroid, now traverses the degree range of 10 - 11 Aquarius - between Jupiter 19AQ+ and North Node (path; destiny; forward destination) 6AQ55 which conjuncts or triggers the 'New President' Eclipse of Jan 26, 2009.

The 11 North Series influence includes finding new groups of people to mix with through travel or ideas, and possibly making greater commitments in relationships - Pres. Obama is certainly mixing with a new set of individuals in Europe this week through both travel and ideas...the G20's haughty international crowd of 'global' players. (Eclipse info: Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

Jupiter-NN as a pair is given by Reinhold Ebertin as 'the *Odyle Force of Baron von Reichenbach' which he researched so diligently under the moon's rays attempting to understand the elusive flow of life force in the living organism.

You may wish to view the anatomy of a fanciful representation of the Odyle Force in human form here or skip ahead to the completed version of my drawing Odyle Aura, if you dare.

Another life-force-infused myth of similar flavor is that of the Greek myth of Eros (Roman,Cupid.)

'Eros' in Astrology may be used in love matters, of course, and eroticism, but its 'love at first sight' association - and shooting arrow - adds a piercing quality to the asteroid's meaning when prominent in a chart - and with all that the word may imply in working with Mundane Astrology.

(Even the all-seeing-eye at apex (top) of the 13-step pyramid (on back of a soon-to-disappear, they say) US dollar may be of an Eros turn of glance.)

But speaking of love, I want to mention that I enjoyed the new TV program last evening, Cupid - and am sending its creators kudos for the cool premise and fun plot line!

As for the G20 Summit this week, my sincere hope is that our president is mixing with new groups and making commitments as much on behalf of the American people's best interests as he purports himself to be...yet without ignoring the interests of the rest of the world.

Sheesh, now I'm at it, too - over-expectations!

*Alan Oken gives Moon sextile Jupiter as the ray of hope aspect. And yes, I have it natally. You didn't guess that, did you? jc

Pollution Photo Gallery: China

Here's a small collection of 8 photos showing pollution in China which pains me to see no matter where on the globe it's allowed to harm the populace while enriching the greedy and powerful.

Particulate matter from a belching smokestack eventually affects us all!

Strobe Talbott interview on Obama administration

Der Speigel has published an interesting interview with Strobe Talbott concerning a cautious Obama administration and its 'global citizen' intentions.

You know the 'cautious globalist' description falls snuggly between Barack Obama's Saturn, happily placed in traditional, cautious Capricorn, sign of politics, law, and business, and Saturn's out-of-sign conjunction with Jupiter, placed within the first degree of the sign of the progressive citizen of the world, Aquarius.

I believe Obama's out-of-sign conjunction of the two societal planets, Saturn and Jupiter, works well for him because Cap and AQ share rulers unlike any other side-by-side signs.

Saturn rules Cap and is the 'ancient' ruler of Aquarius. Some astrologers (present company included) use Saturn as ruler of AQ with Uranus, discovered in 1781, as co-ruler or higher octave...influential, but too far away and unpredictable to be 'ruler' of any sign.

Having an emphasis on Cap-Saturn energy in my natal chart, I guess that's just the way I roll - it's traditional rulers for this Saturnian astrologer who 'sees' heredity, DNA, and family myths rather than 'past lives' in Astrology charts.

But don't leave out the mystical realm!
