Maga Clown Car Filling Up Fast! Pete Hegseth Hitches a Ride

Gnatzie Take-Over of America Rolls Forward with Unqualified Nominations

by Jude Cowell, partisan for the common good

The natal horoscope of nominee for next US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, is rated AA for accuracy. Baby Pete was born June 6, 1980 at 8:28 pm CDT in Minneapolis, Minnesota with expansive Sagittarius rising (11:47), Sun @15Gem27, and Moon @28Pis52. Of note is his Pisces Moon floating beneath the magic wand of transit Neptune. No, this is not the most reliable transit under which to be offered a position or to begin a new job! This is a sense of unreality transit during which he may feel his dreams coming true, the erosion of relationships, a mystery may surface about his background (familial or otherwise), confusion or deception may complicate his life, and/or possessions may disappear or be lost, reputation included. Some combination of them all may occur before this once-in-a-lifetime transit passes.

Now I won't annoy you, dear reader, by publishing Mr. Hegseth's natal chart here - not today anyway - or by repeating what you've already heard about the FOX TV anchor who's on tape missing a target and hitting one of drummers behind the target with an axe. (His orange overlord must've been pretty pleased with Pete's gone-awry stunt - did he view it on FOX?)

Well, here's a public domain photo from 2018 of the fully tattooed fellow:

Anyway, it's impossible with my schedule to keep up with all the inexperienced, unqualified, least suitable clowns and knaves whose names are being floated or nominated for (acting) positions in government as 2025 begins but I'll do what I can.

So! Here are a few astro-notes concerning the misty Air-Water Sun-Moon personality blend of Mr. Hegseth:

Sun in Mercury-ruled Gemini-Moon in Jupiter-ruled Pisces, co-ruled by Neptune, planet of mass media, subversion, and deception:

This moody, adaptable personality blend tends to "blow with the wind" and is quite a chameleon. Sociable and talkative, the Sun Gemini-Moon Pisces individual is vacillating, versatile, sentimental, and can be "submissive yet cunning." On a communication level, there can be difficulty always getting his points across, perhaps some awkwardness when speaking is suggested. Hegseth is highly sensitive and impressionable with a measure of literary ability. This makes sense considering the multiple books he has published, and most sport Pete's photo on the cover so you can't miss 'em. Perhaps it's his Mercury-Pluto square that aids him when writing about political issues, for the square tends toward secrecy, suspicion, harshness, and cunning.

At his core, he's an introvert (Pisces) disguised as an extrovert (Gemini), an imaginative fellow who may have an issue with a lack of concentration which can show as fickleness or by being hard to pin down emotionally. In fact, Pete may not stick around for the long haul in relationships if things get tough, but he is fun-loving. He's likely to be good with children because he remains childlike himself - and ready for adventure. Yet this blend's lack of boundaries can lead to superficial emotional relationships, and there's a tendency to withdraw in self-pity when feeling misunderstood. This trait of boundlessness is shared with his orange overlord, Mr. T.

To close, the appropriate Image for Integration for this blend supplied by the Harveys is "Peter Pan marries Tinkerbell and they live happily ever after in Never Never Land." And this is where Mr. Hegseth's nomination for US Secretary of Defense belongs - in Never Never Land.

Trump Brings Out Mysogynists in Fox Debate Feud - Thom Hartmann reports

Misogyny has long been apparent within some political circles and here we are in 2016 having issues with rude slurs cast upon women by 2016 candidate Donald Trump who's in a snit over being asked a pointed question by a--gasp!-- female FOX News anchor (in a previous debate)! What will tonight's GOP debate/s bring? Will Mr. Trump take his prejudices to another stage and skip the debate hosted by FOX in order to dodge being put on the spot by inconvenient questions? Oh deary me! Let's be anxious together, shall we? But I'll manage tonight's anxiety by watching NBC's The Blacklist at 9:00 pm and give nary a thought to the blacklist of Donald Trump:

Of course, without Mr. Trump, the GOP debate mojo falls upon other candidates, most notably senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz who, unlike real estate mogul Donald Trump, actually know how to debate issues and policies.

GOP lets out its inner Newt

In its desperate attempts to regain cred with its base and sucker the gullible into the fold, the GOP let Newt Gingrich amaze us with wild accusations on FOX - where else?

Meet the Press must have already been booked.

Newt's voice: what the Republican Party on-the-ropes sounds like - when Cheney isn't screeching.

Swine Flu and the GOP; president's presser 4-29-09

By now you've run across some quirky statements from Republicans on the outbreak of Swine Flu and its pandemic possibilities. Why, even Rush Limbaugh is manufacturing what he hopes are GOP-saving theories on this public health issue that requires more thought for the common good than he or other neocon rightwingers can hold within their self-serving peabrains for more than two seconds running.

If you missed it yesterday, check out digby's explanation of the dilemma the GOPers find themselves in.

When we first heard of 'swine flu' in the 70s we weren't ready with vaccines. Now it's 2009 and we're not ready for a pandemic with vaccines (or well-staffed clinics.)

If Rush Limbaugh could manufacture vaccines he'd be useful in a crisis. As it is, what he manufactures is the usual manure and swill from the GOP playbook. Which is not only un-useful - these people don't 'believe' in the common good!

And if the GOP as it stands now had been around for and involved in the founding of America, we wouldn't have a nation or the US Constitution we now cling to.

I also want to assure anyone who thinks I'm torn up about FOX TV choosing not to carry the president's press conference tomorrow night that I would not have watched the presser on FOX anyway.

For me, the only thing the FOX channel is good for is '24' and 'Lie to Me'...and while they'll show the usual episode of 'Lie to Me' at 8:00 pm edt - apologies to the excellent Tim Roth - I'll be watching and listening to Mr. President elsewhere.
