The more I look at the chart factors in the horoscope of the April 3, 2011 New Moon at a critical/crisis degree, the more worrisome they appear. Sadly, the cure isn't to stop looking.
Well, as you know, the combination of Mars and Uranus is a permanent signature in the American natal chart and national psyche so we can't say we're not a warring bunch of varmints, can we? With Gemini the sign of multiplicity, America chooses and fights wars two or three at a time. Now of course, one lunation chart can't 'do it all' but it can trigger other planetary and social factors. The recent entry into Aries - and crossing the World Point of Manifestation at Aries Point (00Ari00) - of quirky rebel and freedom- fighter Uranus is a major component of April's Mars/Uranus picture especially since the sign Aries - and now, transiting Uranus - are ruled by hotheaded, testosterone-driven Mars.
1927/28 and 2011
Yes, Uranus The Awakener is certainly busy this time around bringing strikes, protests, and stand-offs much as was the case when Uranus conjoined AP on March 31, 1927, November 4, 1927, and January 13, 1928. Combined with instigator Mars in 2011, powerfully explosive situations including the nuclear realm and more earthquakes are dire potentials.
Yet hopefully April won't bring more bad news concerning the nuclear meltdown in Japan, and I pray that the West's Libyan intrusion with its mildly named 'no-fly' zone will not take a wrong Martian-Uranian turn into chaos as well.
And I'm fairly certain you're with me on that.

Will Apr 3, 2011's Mars/Uranus conjunction heat up Politics?
You betcha! And House Speaker John Boehner has already used graphic Mars/Uranus-style gun rhetoric concerning labor unions. One assumes it's okay with Mr. Boehner if the powers that be are holding the "machine gun" of Mars/Uranus to our heads but unacceptable when we-the-people stand together to protect ourselves from political and social abuse.
Yet rhetoric isn't all that sizzles with a Mars/Uranus conjunction if history serves as our model. Riots, revolts, strikes, uprisings, wars, battles, and natural disasters are on the global menu - even volcanic eruption cannot be ruled out (I'm looking at you, Mount St. Helens, among other sensitive locations.)
An example is September 9, 1943, when Mars and Uranus conjoined @ 8Gem+ (during a US Uranus Return) and the Allies invaded Italy in what turned out not to be the quick resolution they'd dreamed of. Will their April 3, 2011 hook-up trigger a US invasion? Perhaps, though my prayer is that Washington will not add to our tattered plates yet another violent military meddling in the Middle East or elsewhere. However, Secretary Clinton has already put the 'on the table' threat of intervention on the table concerning Gaddafi's massacre of his people in Libya for protesting against him.
Haven't a majority of we-the-people already agreed that the US cannot afford to continue acting as global police force? You'd think common sense would win out on that one on Capitol Hill, but apparently not. This gives the 'crash America' argument more fuel, imho, since that is, in fact, what our politicians are in process of doing on behalf of the much-vaunted 'new world order' - see link to Plutocracy quotes, below.

Mars~Saturn~Pluto, the shadowers + Copenhopin' opens
Ready for a 'Stability Police Force' in the United States?
Let's convert its heavy-handed ugliness to some appropriate astrological symbolisms: 'stability' = Saturn, 'police' = Mars, and 'force' = Pluto.
You don't want the energies those three planets represent to come knockin' on your door around midnight, now do you?
The pairings of Mars/Saturn, Mars/Pluto, and Saturn/Pluto all represent serious power issues and can bring hard circumstances. And yet their principles are necessary. It's certain people's motives of dominance and greed that we must be wary of.
Egoists!

Both the Jup/Nept cycle and 2nd house relate to money issues.
We may expect rhetoric issuing from the summit to be subtle and manipulative, and perhaps even enticing. An underlayer of cruelty may remain hidden a while longer.
