Pluto's Cloak of Invisibility stolen

Now I know why scientists recently demoted Pluto from the planetary pantheon--they were planning to steal his Cloak of Invisibility!

Scientists Create Cloak of Invisibility using microwaves to detect a copper cylinder. (Is this why I keep dreaming of copper the last several weeks?)

If the Cloak actually works, it'll be happy days for military applications...or at least in Rummy's coppery dreams.

Bush says, habeas who?

Don't miss this barfworthy info from LegitGov.org:

'That's outside the bounds of American history.' Howard Fineman, MSNBC's 'Countdown,' commenting on Bush's signature on the Military Commissions Act of 2006 17 Oct 2006

'National yawn as our rights evaporate' --New law redefines habeas corpus; law professor explains on 'Countdown' 18 Oct 2006 Keith Olbermann: President [sic] Bush, happy Habeas Corpus Day. First thing this morning, the president signed into law the Military Commissions Act of 2006, which does away with habeas corpus, the right of suspected terrorists or anybody else to know why they have been imprisoned, provided the president does not think it should apply to you and declares you an enemy combatant... Does that not basically mean that if Mr. Bush or Mr. Rumsfeld say so, anybody in this country, citizen or not, innocent or not, can end up being an unlawful enemy combatant? Jonathan Turley, George Washington University Constitutional Law Professor: It certainly does. In fact, later on, it says that if you even give material support to an organization that the president deems connected to one of these groups, you too can be an enemy combatant. And the fact that he appoints this tribunal is meaningless. You know, standing behind him at the signing ceremony was his attorney general, who signed a memo that said that you could torture people, that you could do harm to them to the point of organ failure or death. So if he appoints someone like that to be attorney general, you can imagine who he’s going be putting on this board.

Olbermann: The Day Habeas Corpus Died 17 Oct 2006 Keith Olbermann: Today, 135 years to the day after the last American President (Ulysses S. Grant) suspended habeas corpus, President [sic] Bush signed into law the Military Commissions Act of 2006. At its worst, the legislation allows President Bush or Donald Rumsfeld to declare anyone — US citizen or not — an enemy combatant, lock them up and throw away the key without a chance to prove their innocence in a court of law. In other words, everything the Founding Fathers fought the British empire to free themselves of was reversed and nullified with the stroke of a pen, all under the guise of the War on Terror.

The death of habeas corpus --Olbermann: 'The president has now succeeded where no one has before' 11 Oct 2006 On "Countdown," Keith Olbermann examined the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and what it does to something called habeas corpus: "The president [sic] has now succeeded where no one has before. He’s managed to kill the writ of habeas corpus. Tonight, a special investigation, how that, in turn, kills nothing less than your Bill of Rights... The reality is without habeas corpus, a lot of other rights lose their meaning. But if you look at the actual Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments of that pesky Constitution, you’ll see just how many remain for your protection.

Shame on Us All --History should record October 17, 2006, as the reverse of July 4, 1776. By Robert Parry 18 Oct 2006 From the noble American ideal of each human being possessing "unalienable rights" as declared by the Founders 230 years ago amid the ringing of bells in Philadelphia, the United States effectively rescinded that concept on a dreary fall day in Washington. At a crimped ceremony in the East Room of the White House, President George W. Bush signed the Military Commissions Act of 2006 while sitting behind a sign reading "Protecting America."

Bush signs terror 'torture', trials bill 18 Oct 2006 US President [sic] George Bush today signed a bill allowing tough CIA interrogation and military trials for terrorism suspects. The new law means Mr Bush can continue a secret CIA program for interrogating terrorism suspects he believes have vital information that could thwart a plot against America.

Bush Signs 2007 Defense Authorization Act 17 Oct 2006 The fiscal 2007 National Defense Authorization Act provides more than $530 billion for the military to 'win' the war on [of] terror. Senate and House conferees added a $70 billion supplemental provision to the $462.8 billion in budget authority to cover the cost of ongoing operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Horn of Africa, as well as other expenses affiliated with the war on [of] terrorism.

Who voted to violate the Constitution and their oath of office? By Mark Yannone 17 Oct 2006 The following congressmen voted for the Military Commissions Act of 2006 (a.k.a. The Detainee Bill, a.k.a. The Torture Bill, a.k.a. The Death of the Great Writ of Habeas Corpus).

Hastert: 'Democrats would pamper terrorists' By Frank James 17 Oct 2006 ...House Speaker Dennis Hastert issued a statement today in which he lauded the president and congressional Republicans for enacting the legislation [Military Commissions Act of 2006]. "The Democratic plan would gingerly pamper the terrorists who plan to destroy innocent Americans' lives. While House Republicans work to deal with these dangers like establishing Terrorist Tribunals that will prosecute enemies of America, Democrat Leader Pelosi and 159 of her colleagues voted in favor of NEW rights for terrorists." #

And Denny Hastert would pamper Mark Foley as long as the cat was still in the bag.

Once the cat got out, it was a different tail, wasn't it?

Bush-Rove surprisingly 'upbeat'

Is this a false display of devil-may-care due to the upcoming October Surprise Rove has planned to stun the electorate into another round of mindless, gutless voting?

NewsMax.com's Bush and Rove 'Upbeat' offers confirmation of shenanigans afoot mentioned in yesterday's post. More anthrax, Karl? Any sort of attack will make the Republican regime seem even more incompetent, so what could he have up his jester's sleeve?

Such a delicate balance! Rove needs enough to scare the sheeple into voting for the Rs, but not so much as to hoist the neocons on the pittard of their perfidies and ineptitude. And the source must be untraceable, of course.

On Tee-Vee: Then we saw Senators Hagel and Warner supposedly "break with Bush on Iraq" this weekend. Mere tap dancing and a little patter to keep the undecideds entertained...a big Puh, imho--not worth the price of admission.

And NPR is reporting today that Maliki and Bush had a phone chat where Maliki asked Bush if it's true the US is giving his government "2 months."

But Bush assured him he didn't have to worry. Wonder if George knows he's being punk'd? Which leaves all of us with that Dude-where's-my country-feeling again.

Yes, Bush has made a bigger deal of the so-called Iraqi constitution than he does of the one he's sworn to uphold, protect, and defend. Definitely doesn't make me wanna go, bahh-h-h-h in November--no matter what Rove's simmerin' in his witch's cauldron.

midterm elections 2006

Here's the lineup for the Nov 7, 2006 11:00 pm est Capitol Building:

Asc 12Leo09

Saturn 24Leo21 (Saturn = Dem Party rising, but hold your taters, there's shenanigans afoot);

Ic/Foundation 2Sco23 "3Sco": "A house raising" (!) but will it be enough to ovecome all the dirty tricks they'll use against the electorate's will?;

4th house is full of the ongoing Saturnian Scythe exact just the day before--a pattern indicating that the Establishment (Saturn) is desperately fighting for its life and using dangerous tactics in any attempt to save itself.

Read more about Saturn's Scythe at John and Susan Townley's excellent AstroCocktail.com where you'll find that Saturn (authority, the leader; in Leo, sign of leadership) will soon be alone as resistance gathers and his dubious allies desert him in the fray. We see this now as the Moon joins a T-cross formation in league with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune...and Saturnian plots multiply like fleas.

In fact, a terroist attack--or something attributed to one--is not out of the question, as others have noted, for this desperate Saturnian leadership. Seems the London Airplanes-to-America "foiled attack" didn't play to the peanut gallery as well as Rs (and Ds in cahoots) expected, did it?

And with Mercury Rx in Scorpio (sign of--sorry you brilliant Scorpios--betrayal and spying) it looks like a recount (Rx) will be in order. Mercury goes direct--perhaps the election count will be finalized?--on appr Nov 18...or at least election issues should settle down around that time. Squirrelly voting machines are a given, sad to say.

Images for the Sun Sco/Moon Gem:

A virtuoso violinist touches the hearts of her audience...Trivial Pursuits goes macabre...The mystery of life in a strip cartoon...Dostoyevsky's Brothers Karamaov...Rodin's The Kiss, Hands. (Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Chas and Suzi Harvey.)

The Moon "21Gem": "A tumultuous labor demonstration" = PROTEST> (Moon = the public; the populace) and Moon is out-of-bounds, acting on her own without the rest of the actors interfering. But will this expression of the collective will be enough to override a desperate Saturnian establishment? This degree speaks of oppressed or repressed energies staging an EMOTIONAL OUTBURST and claiming their due.

One technique in a US election chart is to see whether Saturn (Ds) or Jupiter (Rs) is closer to the MC/Aspiration Point of the chart at the close of the ballot box.

Saturn is rising, as noted, and Jupiter is stuck near the bottom of the chart in 4th house as part of the Scythe's blade, so Ds are closer to the Mc. (But the 2004 prez election chart showed the balance tilted toward Gore but with the Part of Treachery active in the election chart--and in Bush's natal chart.)

And with the Sun/Moon midpoint conjunct the 2nd cusp--house of Values--we could see a major exodus from the Republican incumbents and candidates. (Lying us into war and continuing to lie about it comes under the "Values" heading, too, imho, as in "they have none.")

Also noted in a previous post, the Dem Party just had a Progressed (Sec) New Moon in August...the beginning of a new cycle of activity where the Sun's light brightens and grows. But it's still early days yet in this cycle.

Now if we can just get the Ds to hold the Bush administration accountable, kick out the crooks and creeps (incl their own), and keep themselves reasonably responsive to the ones who bring them to the dance, America can feel more like herself again.

Here are the midpoint pictures for this chart:

3 T-squares...

1. Moon/Pluto = NN (the public, esp involving zeal and propaganda): emotional upsets in teamwork; lack of adaptability;

2. Neptune/Asc = Sun: exploitation; deception;

3. Neptune/Asc = Mercury: guided by erroneous impressions or perceptions; open to deception (as are the voting machines!);

Neptune/Mc = NN: peculiarities; sharing bad intentions with others; unpleasant or difficult associations;

The Moon "21Gem" is conjunct Bush's natal Uranus/NN (unsual groups associations; reformers) which are conjunct in his natal chart, and sitting upon his Sec Progressed Mc 'now' (Ura/NN = Mc: desire to bring plans to fruition jointly with others; teamwork paying off);

Nov 7: Uranus/NN = Moon: a team taking a stand.

So Saturn's desperate teamwork = shenanigans afoot, as noted above.

But soon after 11:00 pm, the Moon (the public) will conjunct the election's Asc/Mc midpoint: showing others how one feels about things.

Hope it does the US--and the world--some good. It's been a l o n g six years and we're weary of these a-wipes...of both parties and of all persuasions.

what George sez now...

As any liar knows, you must cover cover cover with more lies and equivocations, as AP writer Tom Raum shows Bush doing in his article...because it becomes...well, complicated as Bush Keeps Revising War Justification in honor of the November 7 elections.

Over at Lim's Limericks they call it lying through his hat. Guess loyal Barney really is the last one standing for his master for it's in his dog's nature, but don't tell Lim--he's allergic to dog dander.

In today's world it's Evil vs Evil and every dictator for himself.

The Bill of Rights preexisting + Foley's chart

The Framers of the Bill of Rights did not purport to "create" rights. Rather, they designed the Bill of Rights to prohibit our Government from infringing rights and liberties presumed to be preexisting: Justice William J. Brennan, 1982

Update 4:26 pm: have received the correct chart details for Mark Foley, Sep 8, 1954 4:55 am edt, Needham, MA, here we go:

Images for Sun Virgo/Moon Cap personality blend: A student passes entrance exam to a prestigious technical college...Fine bone china...A headline: "Small-town boy makes good." Hmm.

Here are his natal planets/ASC + MC:

ASC 28Leo25, Pluto rising, 25Leo21 (tr Saturn approaching Pluto/As...ouch.)

MC 21Tau49, with Midas conjunct...notice how often you've heard "he raises money for other Republicans;

Sun 15Virgo10, in first house of Self;

Mercury 00Lib03, in 2nd house (Juno, associated with abuse and/or the abuser is conjunct n Mercury which represents young people), and the Sep 22 Solar Eclipse in the 8South Series (loss; endings; sad partings) seems to have affected Mr Foley's chart relating to young people--for the public to see--Mercury conjunct a World Point, 00Libra;

Neptune 24lib21, Venus 1Sco20 (the NWO's Sun degree); and Saturn 5Sco44, all in 3rd house--if Foley escapes punishment it will be powerful friends helping him out;

Ic 21Sco49, where Jupiter is transiting now--Jupiter to 4th house has to do with moving or traveling of some kind, and/or with the start of a new career; no planets posited in n 4th house, but tr Jupiter will soon square natal Pluto--his 'mojo' may quit working altogether, charismatic as he naturally may be;

5th house of Speculations/Risk-taking/Children/Creativity/Romance has:

Mars 5Cap44; NN 12Cap50; Moon 17Cap43; and Chiron 23Cap23 Rx--Chiron Rx is a maverick as is Chiron in 5th house (the "monster"); in Placidus House System, Can/Cap are intercepted so there may be a 'crisis' flavor to them, and definitely an unconscious influence to these energies;

next house with planets: 11th house: Jupiter 23Can01 (also a money indicator as is Saturn in Scorpio/Midas at Mc, the WHY Point), and Jupiter is conjunct Uranus 26Cancer--Jupiter/Uranus the "lucky break" combo.

Power, money, sex issues abound for Mr Foley, and recently the tr Saturn/Pluto midpoint has been triggering his natal Neptune: fraud; lies/falsehoods; the desire to harm others secretly; immorality; instability; shattered nerves.

Using Bil Tierney's Dynamics of Aspect Analysis, we find that a Cardinal Neptune as apex planet of a T-square gives Foley a lack of staying power in relationships--he's a very impatient man who ends relationships if too much is required of him.

Apex Neptune tends to take impractical, poorly-organized actions when intitating his objectives. He "jumps impulsively into weakly defined activities with blinders on."

(Perhaps that's where tr Neptune now at the "A man unmasked" degree has attempted to enlighten Mr Foley--his blinders may have been removed.)

Self-deception, escapism, eccentricity, a love of devising schemes, and a quick use of "the easy way out" are self-defeating strategies that only work for so long, and his vulnerability increases to the extent that he avoids self-analysis and discernment. He attracts deception to himself by ignoring these psychological issues.

Foley's career of preying on young men which involved his workplace in his schemes shows a lack of discrimination, to say the least. Designing short cuts that promise "the most the soonest with the least amount of effort involved", and a his choice to remain ignorant of his deeper motivations, have brought Mr Foley to ruin--in part because a mismanaged, super-sensitive apex Neptune leads, not to extreme creativity as it could if sensibly directed, but to self-negation or possibly an exaggerated self-contempt.

Yet as we know, he who despises himself esteems himself a great self-despiser.

Bush defends Rose Garden

UPDATE 7:20 pm: just had some time to look through my files of personages to see if anyone's chart in particular had links to Bush's press gaggle/self-justification session this morning, and one name in particular popped out immediately--natal and sec progressed: Henry Kissinger. Thought you should know...

...original post starts here:

George Bush began defending himself, his policies, his handling of North Korea, his removal of Saddam from power, his incorrect, lowballed Iraqi civilian body count, and Denny Hastert this morning in the Rose Garden, 11:02 am edt.

Yesterday's US ammunitions stash being blown up in Baghdad was no more than a background whisper when the increased violence was touched upon during the 63 minute session.

11:02 am: WHAT...Rising was 2Sag49--"3Sag": "Two men playing chess"...ya think?

WHY...Mc 17Virgo31--"18Vir": "A ouija board"...great, maybe that would help. The unconscious/neg/shadow side of this degree is: a bondage to superstition and a surrender to the unknown.

Midpoints also rising:

Mercury/Pluto, the propaganda duo, which are personalized in Bush's natal chart by being placed in his first house...

Mercury/Pluto = Asc: exercising influence upon one's environment; intellectual domination. (Don't snicker--he was so angry he forgot to mispronounce the bigger words. The man's no dummy, as I've always said!)

also Neptune/Mc = Asc: acting and pretending; living in an unreal world; taking the wrong path or pursuing the wrong objectives; uncertainty or insecurity.

When a reach-around reporter asked him if he would do anything differently in Iraq, he had his chance to frame the issus as, "Abu Graibh hurt us internationally--eased us off the moral highground."

The fact that he, Bush, was not ON moral highground after the way he lied us into an illegal war bwo illusory WMD was glossed over. His ability to ignore peoples' opinions on his Iraq wolf-crying vs what he says now about US threats made to North Korea, Iran, etc, is never addressed. A "moral highground" would come in handy, but all Bush has is the shifting sand of his own lies, propaganda, and oil controlling attempts.

No time to type out all the midpoint pics, etc, but I can tell you the chart--and the chart for his big finish today (a curt, "thank you for your interest", 12:06 pm) show a personally insulted, angry, sharp-tongued man who's feeling the restrictive effects of the current Saturn to natal Venus transit he's laboring under.

Today's 'press conference' further emphasized Venus/Saturn restriction as tr Venus conjuncts natal US Saturn (authority; control) in the Sibly chart.

He's not feelin' the love, people, and the "chess game" is a stalemate he resents having mentioned as reporters uttered the fact that some are accusing him of failing--with North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and the rest of the world he pretends to ignore. This press gaggle was set up to answer the North Korean dictator...he had to say something after the nuclear tests his adm tried to say were "maybe nuclear" tests!

More than once he used the "finish the job or they'll follow us home/listen to bin Laden, don't believe me/the enemy will follow us here" lines--and they'll be searching for YOU, George, as they were on 9/11/01. Seems they want to "finish the job."

Transit Neptune today at "18AQ": "A man unmasked"--still causing trouble in Washington. The unconscious/neg/shadow side of this degree: self-betrayal through exceptional ineptitude.

Chart-ruler--the Republican mantra'd Jupiter "21Sco" at "A soldier derelict in his duty." Descriptive for Mr Bush. And with Jupiter inconjunct (150 deg, an aspect of adjustment) the Moon (the public), the spinning heads and Bush shills will have much work--spouting and touting--to do to make today's performance acceptable to the American people.

No, Bush isn't feeling as invulnerable as before. And it shows. Yet my sympathy is with America--Bush I can still do without.

10.11.06 1:50 pm

2:06 pm: neglected to say that the Sun today is conjunct the US sec progressed Mars now Rx by progression for the first time in our history...Sun highlighting our military/war/quarrels which I think relates among other issues to the blowing up of our munitions in Baghdad. We haven't heard the last of that esp considering how little we've heard--and it's a big honkin' Oops on our part.

3:03 pm: NPR just reporting a small AIRCRAFT was flown into a NYC BUILDING but I'm not seeing anything about it online. As mentioned earlier, tr Venus conj US Saturn-- tr Mercury was conjunct US n Saturn on 9/11/01.
