"Blood Moon" Eclipse October 28, 2023

Quite a few study notes are penned upon the DC Horoscope of the "Blood" Moon Eclipse of October 28, 2023 @5Tau09 conjunct 2nd cu$p - perfecting at 4:24:01 pm EDT in time for Halloween 2023. Please enlarge the image for better viewing.

Right away we see that with fraudulent Neptune rising in shady Pisces, our espionage, sabotaging of government, and gaslighting troubles continue, plus, political, ideological, and religious conflicts extend along with financial concerns (Sun @6Scorpio: "A Gold Rush"); relationships may end if not strong enough to survive current strains.

Yes, these are tragic days of separation and mourning (Saturn = Moon-MC; R. Ebertin) afflicting suffering people around the globe, and a fateful struggle is engaged (Pluto = Saturn-MC). Meanwhile, uncertainty, insecurity, and neuroses continue to cause problems, not the least of which is in the US Congress due to "maga" Republicans who are there to sabotage, not govern.

However, Neptunian veils and disguises are due to be exposed and the spotlight of a lunar eclipse creates the perfect timing for it! Plus, we always expect significant leaks of secrets and inconvenient information when a lunar eclipse is in the picture. And for DC, this particular 'wild card of the Universe' shows sneaky Neptune rising!

Now below you see that the Midheaven ('MC"), the Goal Point of any horoscope, sports Cupido atop the chart which suggests that entities such as Corporatism, The Syndicate (crime; mafia; secret organizations), and 'The Family' (religion) remain primary antagonists of a democratic America as foreign and domestic enemies form coalitions, however loose or temporary, intended to collapse our nation. But not so fast: because the Moon's symbol, "A Bridge Being Built Across a Gorge" hints that a Speaker of the House will be found - perhaps a democrat such as Hakeem Jeffries who can work with "both sides of the aisle." Yet how well 'the people's business' might then proceed is anyone's guess. But we know it's definitely a dud under anti-democracy "maga" Republicans.

As you well know, the world is in crisis (Solar Eclipse in the 7 South Saros Series--here in 7th house @21Lib08) and yet hope for improvement is available via "an obstacle suddenly clears" (7 South, B. Brady). The late October Lunar Eclipse in Venus-ruled Taurus represents the culmination phase of the last New Moon (7S Eclipse) of October 14, 2023. And with a Taurus Moon, we may expect changes in financial matters, eclipse or not. Then of course, both Libra and Taurus are Venus-ruled and relate to money, valuations, and materialism.

Sun Sco-Moon Tau (Water-Earth; Mars-Pluto, Venus)

This blend of conscious-unconscious energies shows determination, intense idealism, and concern for others. However, a tendency toward dogmatism can rear its head especially when pride and self-esteem are under threat. An inherent understanding of financial realities and an inflexible or rigid will may be noticed, along with an occasional blindness toward the motives of others.

Notably, nebulous Neptune in Pisces acts as the final dispositor of the horoscope - and links to the Republican Party as the political party in the US that formed in 1854 with Neptune in mid-Pisces, so I blame their underhanded ways for most if not all of our current troubles. And as far as yours truly is concerned, the GOP can dissolve itself any way it likes as long as it doesn't wash our country down the drain with it. Besides: Republican politicians don't represent even half the US population so why should they run the show with their hateful fasc*st agenda?

November 8, 2022 Midterms: Sun Scorpio-Moon Taurus

If you've looked at a horoscope set for November 8, 2022, the day of our Midterm Elections 2022, I suspect that one chart factor that popped out at you is the day's Sun Scorpio-Moon Taurus blend of conscious-unconscious energies. Notably, this happens to be the natal Sun-Moon personality blend of President Joe Biden. Hopefully, this suggests a positive influence toward Democrats in election outcomes of the day!

All Eclipses Are Uranian 'Wild Cards' of the Universe

And so we must face another factor: that a Midterms 2022 Lunar Eclipse Conjunct unpredictable Uranus in Taurus occurs on November 8, 2022 at 6:01:57 am est that very morning which emphasizes the eventfulness of the day. Now as you know, lunar eclipses often uncover in stark relief all manner of secrets and inconvenient facts that can lead to scandals and/or sudden understanding, and often reveal or leak information that has long remained hidden. At Midterms 2022, the close presence of rebellious Awakener planet Uranus intensifies, even electrifies, the situation and the day's results, plus, Uranus can also act as The Witness.

Obviously, with Uranian energies involved, technology issues may also be part of the cosmic picture for Midterms 2022, along with gun-toting threats from sore loser Republican zealots laboring under the 'Tr*mp flag' of sedition and insurrection, tactics resorted to when elections don't turn out to suit their degrading authoritarian dreams. Now at Midterms 2022, excited people will be prominent via the Moon-Uranus conjunction during the day, along with a measure of anti-societal attitudes revealed by the unpredictable energies of the Sun-Uranus opposition across the stubborn, fixed Taurus-Scorpio axis. Unusual, disruptive, novel (Uranus) goals (Sun) will be expressed by radical rebels - and possibly by others of a more enlightened and solution-based turn of mind.

Yet as you know, we saw sore losers in action on Tr*mp's behalf via the violent *MAGA Mob Attack on January 6, 2021, the day the US Congress was scheduled to certify the Electoral College Vote Count of 2020 - for Joe Biden. Yet after hours of delay, the certification was accomplished and its requirement in the US Constitution fulfilled despite Tr*mp's desperate attempt to remain in power by riding roughshod over the majority of We the People's votes against him. And yet it's notable to consider that Uranus can choose to behave as a planet of sudden attack and assault especially when acting in tandem with belligerent Mars - and Midterms 2022 Mars is Rx (frustrated) in changeable Gemini, a placement that prefers to be ready for action, but his condition by transit resonates with America's stymied Mars retrograde by progression (since 2006). Plus, planet Mars is very close to Earth right now (until March 2023) which heats things up.

The Cosmic Weather of Midterms 2022

On November 8, 2022 the degrees of Sun and Moon range from Sun @15Scorpio (12:00 am est) to 16Sco45 (11:59 pm est); the Moon will float from 12Tau47 to 25Tau29 (check the Sabian Symbols!), passing over Trump's natal Midheaven and (enraged) star of malevolence, Algol. (Obviously, the orange blighter will be steamed if his candidates don't win.) And as noted above, Sun and Moon will be in opposition in the form of a Lunar Eclipse early that morning. Significant is the sign of a mundane Moon for it reveals the public mood and societal trends (at Tr*mp's Midheaven: the goal; publicity; not running yet he haunts everyone's ballot). In Venus-ruled Taurus, Luna suggests potentials for firmness, steadfastness, constancy, and changing material circumstances (positively or negatively: bribes and pay-offs funding a love of luxury? Or, satifaction with rising employment numbers and more income?).

Yet with a Taurus Moon, it seems apparent that political views and votes will be decided prior to Election Day and have little, if any, chance of fluctuating from stubbornly held positions (Ds and Rs!). Perhaps absentee ballots will flood in across the land, a practical solution to sore loser threats against voters.

And significantly, karmic Saturn in Aquarius (practical ideals) squares Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus making the old devil the apex planet of multiple T-squares. Of course, restrictive Saturn (his depiction shown, above) in mundane charts signifies the law, lawmakers, court proceedings, managers, serious conditions, and experienced seniors so perhaps a cautious Saturnian guard rail will keep the 2022 Midterms on a more even keel even though 'rebellion against authority' types (via Saturn-square-Uranus, but waning) continue to cause turmoil in society as they clamour for control. Best outcome for such Saturnian T-Squares: 'addressing problems and finding practical solutions.'

Meanwhile, Midterms 2022's Water-Earth Sun Scorpio-Moon Taurus blend of energies reveal a day and election of determination, pragmatism, concern for others, and control over a seething inner world of darker elements (paraphrasing The Harveys' Sun Sign-Moon Sign #ad). My hope is that this control will successfully deal with malcontents 'guarding' polls in various locations so that events won't spiral out of hand and our votes can be safely cast and honestly counted with an integrity the Republican Party has shown that it lacks.

Now here's a quote from a previous US president who shares with President Biden the Sun Scorpio-Moon Taurus blend, "Our nation needs not heroics but healing; not nostrums but normalcy; not revolution but restoration." - Warren G. Harding. Time to Build Back Better, and, thanks to President Joe Biden, we have a chance to do just that! And no, The Establishment isn't perfect but it's worlds better for humanity than fascism and nazism, systems of perversion, cruelty, brutality, and degradation.

So additionally for Midterms 2022, we may expect a mixture of enthusiatic optimism and brooding pessimism with hopefully a positive emphasis on the regeneration of our society, clearly the goal of those voting for fact-based candidates at Midterms 2022 rather than for candidates who dream of overthrowing the US government and tossing America backward into revolution, tyranny, dystopia, and the olden days of misogyny, perversion, violence, slavery, racism, and oppression. Such backward-leaning voters exhibit blindness to the motives of others which surely is part of their problem, and unfortunately, they make it ours when they vote against democracy.

The Syzygy Moon of the 2018 Midterm Elections

Prior to the November 6, 2018 Midterm Elections comes a Full Moon, the last lunation or 'Syzygy Moon', @1Tau13 which perfects on October 24, 2018 at 12:45:05 pm edt in Washington DC. This Full Moon Horoscope is titled, "Stormy Proceedings" (ASC = Mercury-Mars) and "(A) Military Band(s) on the March" (Jupiter the General--and expansive Politician--@27Scorpio):

Of course the intensity, delving, monetary, and other qualities within the Taurus-Scorpio polarity are well known so let's not belabor such basics. We must look to the restrictive yet stabilizing Saturn rising for The Lesson-Bringer drags with him his usual karmic implications, and a serious tone of austerity, authority, and accountability is cast over proceedings as the Midterm Elections approach with Saturn the planet of lawmakers whose seats are up for grabs in November. Yet Saturn is also the status quo planet of The Establishment so it seems somewhat doubtful that all Republicans in office will be tossed out on their wide tushies even with the expected 'Blue Wave' of Democrats welling up across the land and spoiling for a cleansing flood.

A mix of election results sounds more reasonable--yet this Syzygy Moon chart's MC-IC axis is at a critical-crisis 29th-degrees just as the Full Moon perfects. Matters are serious and strained and pressures must be released, perhaps partially in the T-Square between the Sun-Moon opposition squaring the 7th house North Node in dramatic Leo and suggesting new contacts and associations. Yet necessarily the separative South Node, the Tail of the Dragon rises in 1st house, not the happiest indicator in any chart, along with wealthy manipulator and saboteur Pluto at that problematic degree of '18Capricorn' of POLITICAL POWER and 'smug or strong-armed paternalism' (Jones). Authoritarianism with its draconian measures are on the rise unless We The People stop it in its tracks soon.

Mars-Mercury-Jupiter

A values-laden 2nd house barely holds activist Mars desirous of reforms when in Aquarius while voting Mercury @21Sco29 has just entered the public 10th house at '22Scorpio' = "Hunters Starting Out For Ducks"...ENTERPRISE (Jones). This degree places transit Mercury nearing Mr. Trump's natal IC (24Sco18) from the 3rd house side with tr Jupiter in Scorpio, as noted above, on the 4th house side. Mercury-Jupiter opposite n MC may provide Jupiterian Trump a sense of optimism yet there are negative potentials involved with the planetary pair as well: failures through dishonesty; negligence or clumsiness; and fraud (Ebertin). Sadly, any or all of these possibilities may apply and I must also add grandiose thinking to this picture.

Will an 'October Surprise' occur intended to sway the Midterms?

Well, it's been years since one or more political 'surprises' (aka, dirty tricks) have not caused disruption of our elections or at least the fear of it--see disruptive chaos-creator Uranus at IC, the Basis of the Matter--which also suggests a sudden change of residence for someone! So let us agree that surprising events if not trickery will happen as 2018 rolls on toward November along with campaign promises--especially since at the 2018 Midterms, Jupiter will reach 29Scorpio which, rounded up, is "The Halloween Jester". And of course we can depend on tactics such as gerrymandering, voter suppression, foreign and domestic interference via hacking, and social networking illusions to haunt and muss with ballot boxes across the nation. And it isn't as if Trickster Trump the Gemini has supported any efforts to improve the 'integrity' of our voting system--things worked for him in 2016 so sly dog that he is, his 'Sneaky Mind' (Mercury-Neptune square--Oken) wouldn't willingly change a thing.

Of interest as well is the separative South Node of the Moon @1AQ21 nearing POTUS Sun (Trump 2017 = 00AQ49) so endings of relationships and separations from the White House continue as will further unpopularity with the public (Nodes) for Mr. Trump which supports the theme of a culminating Full Moon and its Venus-Uranus/Sun-Uranus oppositions, plus, the Moon-Uranus separation issues and excitement that nestle at the IC.

Eroding Neptune on Election Day 2018

A quick glance at two horoscopes set for November 6, 2018 Washington DC show deceptive loss-leader Neptune of media, propaganda, falsehood, and the masses fame at IC (the Basis of the Matter; The Drain) at 8:00 am est and again at MC (The Goal) at 8:00 pm est. In the chart above we see Neptune @13Pi57 Rx in Money House (2nd) with the Sabian Symbol for '14Pisces' = "A Lady in FOX Fur" (my bold, for obvious political and broadcasting reasons).

Underneath all this, the Republican Party's first-ever Neptune Return continues apace this year with the 4th of 5 'hits' perfecting on October 20, 2018, and the final conjunction perfecting on December 29, 2018. Strong in its own secretive scandal-plagued sign of Pisces, masking Neptune covers for Donald Trump as Republicans do while he play-acts the presidency of the United States and distracts the public from real issues which include the hollowing out of the US government by anti-government politicians and their wealthy backers. We may even find some evidence of his thespianism penned on the Syzygy Moon chart, lower left, in a midpoint picture:

Neptune-MC = Ascendant: acting and pretending which also carries potentials for an inability to get over losses and/or insecurity (Ebertin). Sorry Trump fans but I see no "stable genius" acting under the spotlight of this particular Full Moon--and that doesn't take into consideration The Tower Solar Eclipse of August 11, 2018 @19Leo which is the Prenatal Eclipse of the November 2018 Midterms as previously discussed, and falls into the corporate and Scorpionic 8th house of this Full Moon chart.

And one major caution exists within the Earth-Water Taurus-Scorpio energies here--that blindness to the motives of others is possible and this could affect the decisions of voters in November, especially those who tend to take the theatrical, superficial utterances of a man like Trump at face value as if he's serious and actually concerned about their issues. Will he be in office by November? Probably but who can say at this point? As you see listed on the chart, upper right, one of the Images for Integration as detailed in the Harveys' Sun Sign-Moon Sign book:

"Pluto takes Persephone into the Underworld" which may refer to the mobster/gangster atmosphere and dealings of Donald Trump and his thuggish minions such as Michael Cohen. Of course, the Persephone myth also relates to sexual relationships and abuse so there's that--and asteroids Persephone @17Scorpio (transition) and Atlantis (where we feel doomed; abuse of power) conjoin in the visible 10th house, while wounded healer Chiron, still in mystical if shady Pisces, is about to leave the 3rd house of Communications along with difficult Scheat @29Pisces, a star of misfortune. Is someone tweet-plaining their troubles? Still? Tiresome!

Quirky Quixotic Uranus--Trump's Erratic 'Guiding Planet'

Now I shall leave you to read the chart yourself or to check out my scribbled notes on the chart if you can or wish but I must note the relationship and culmination aspect of any Full Moon, shining its rays here upon the security-minded MC-IC axis of Career and Home, plus, the implications of a Venus-Uranus opposition of eccentricity, obstinacy, moodiness, separation in relationship, peculiarities, and/or someone's frayed nerves on display will add its excited energies to the sudden changes that are in store for America and Congress as we careen toward another Midterm Election Day.
