Christmas Day 2015: the Coronation of William I Dec 25, 1066

Christmas Day 2015 is the 949th anniversary of the Coronation of William I (William the Conqueror) so why not mark it here at Stars Over Washington in time for tomorrow's celebrations since the Norman Conquest irrevocably changed the course of history and because everyone loves a coronation.

In The Book of World Horoscopes, Nicholas Campion displays a coronation horoscope but apparently no precise hour of the ceremony is recorded in history. Therefore, 'noon' is the typical fall-back position in such a case which places the Sun (king) at the top of the chart, the most visible point signifying Aspirations and Public Status.

So at noon on December 25, 1066 at Westminster Abbey, London, England, the Moon hung upon a critical 29th degree @29Pis03--anxious to reach the Aries Point of Fame, Recognition, and Prominence but not quite 'there'. However, as a victorious warrior, William's reign might best be described by a Sun Capricorn-Moon Aries personality blend with soldier Mars ruling Aries. Or during his reign, did he exhibit more of a compassionate and sympathetic nature that a Pisces Moon suggests? Hmmm...

Let's briefly compare the Images for Integration for both Sun-Moon blends as given by the Harveys in their useful book, Sun Sign-Moon Sign to see if any seem to apply to the crowning of a new king:

Sun Capricorn-Moon Pisces: "A wine collector uncorks a rare vintage to celebrate a success...A child builds a castle of reinforced concrete...Bilbo in Tolkein's Lord of the Rings. (This hero's journey blend is shared by J. R. R. Tolkein, Benjamin Franklin, and Paul Cezanne.)

Now what do you think? For me both blends seem applicable to the event and its long lasting effects and after all, the Moon floated through both Pisces and Aries on Christmas Day 949 years ago (but a Cancer Full Moon this year!) Therefore, I shall forego the either/or decision on the Coronation of William I and simply choose both the Fish and the Ram to go celebrating with the Goat.

Teddy Roosevelt: Invisible Government (Neptune-Saturn) and his Sun-Moon Blend

Invisible government, secret government, whatever we call it, our Saturn (planet of government, business, law) Neptune (invisible, secret, deceptive) psychos have been manipulating strings from behind the scenes since the beginning of this nation (from 'Mother' Britain, I suspect.) Even Teddy Roosevelt, an American aristocrat, admitted it though having him say it may have been a political ploy meant to release some steam building within the public cauldron:

To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.”

Perhaps it's somewhat curious that Teddy Roosevelt's natal horoscope shows two dynamic T-Square patterns--one with his 3rd house Saturn in Leo as apex planet, the second with apex Neptune in its own sign of Pisces in his 10th house of Public Status and Career--and there are indications of falsehood and incorrect behavior (Venus-Jupiter = Neptune), and his well known ruthlessness is shown by Sun-Pluto = Saturn (Ebertin.) A Jupiter-Neptune square tends toward maudlin sentimentality, overindulgence, and promising more than can be delivered (politics!)

Of course, his Saturn-Pluto square denotes a dictatorial attitude and a life full of plots and intrigue so you may wish to view his bio and natal horoscope with its Watery (and very secretive) Sun Scorpio-Moon Cancer personality blend if you are unfamiliar with it.

Freemason Teddy was quite a doozy with his expansive, boasting, 'bully pulpit' Jupiter in talkative Gemini rising!

Yet my thanks must go to David Pakman for spotlighting the shady surveillance sneakiness perpetrated by the House, Senate, and President Obama concerning CISA, the bill they all well know that the American public never wanted which makes CISA the legislation no one has been waiting for:

2016 Astrology and Politics: Valuable Venus Tells a Story

Our Bribery Capital, Washington DC (my former city of residence) has been called many things since 1776. Here's a post that is possibly related to the 'interest groups' topic above. Or maybe not:

Washington DC: a 'New Rome'? (includes two horoscopes: FDR's 1933 Inauguration--and his 1937 Inauguration after he switched the date from early March (Sun @13Pisces: "An Ancient Sword, Used in Many Battles, Is Displayed in a Museum") to January 20th (Sun @01AQ as it is now: "An Old Adobe Mission in California.") (Sabian Symbols: An Astrological Mandala, Dane Rudhyar.)

Of course so far, the presidential Oath of Office is marked on our national calendar every four years (twice in 8 years for two-termers) so obviously America's Inaugural schedule is based on the 8-year Venus Cycle. Of course, 5 and 40 are numbers of Venus as well (5 x 8 = 40) and they and other numbers hold deep significance within symbolism, esotericism, mysticism, numerology, Scriptures, mythology, astrology, kabbalah, Sacred Geometry, etc. Actually, speaking of government and politics, in a previous post on the Venus Cycle and US Presidential Election 2016, we discussed how sparkling Venus as Evening Star on November 8, 2016 provides clues to the identity of the next occupant of the White House (though there have been a couple of exceptions to the Evening Star rule over the years.)

And so it remains to be seen whether a lady like Hillary Clinton (rather than a man) or a Democratic Socialist such as Senator Bernie Sanders are different enough from the current White House occupant to fulfill 'the other' requirement of Venus in November 2016 or whether the goddess planet will graciously nod toward a rival political party--the Republicans--to satisfy her notion of an Oval Office mouthpiece, with 'Oval' a Venusian shape and the White House 'Rose' Garden a not-so-hidden nod to Venus whose favorite flower is the rose.
