In a Gullible World Morality in War is M.I.A.

Embedded within our country's collective memory is the "date that will live in infamy," as cited by FDR, and known as the Attack on Pearl Harbor carried out just before 8:00 am local time on December 7, 1941 (Honolulu, Hawaii).

Synchronistically, a cosmic time link is in process because December 7, 2022 brings a Full Moon @16Gem02 conjunct 1941 Jupiter Rx @16Gem30; this suggests a link to moral and ethical values yet with 1941 Sun opposing Jupiter, we might suspect that egotistical goals must have muddied the morality of the situation, as war always does. For when a population is 'lied into war', the entire endeavor is marred by deception, fraud, and illusion. Understandably, disillusionment with leaders inevitably follows and We the People lose trust in our government. This we know, for lies have been used against the American people in subsequent years to galvanize the US military into action, among other misguided activities (US 1776 Mars-Neptune square).

In view of this, let's note that a certain conspiracy theory has been proposed through the decades: that the FDR administration knew ahead of time of the 1941 attack but declined to intervene so that the US could "righteously" declare war upon Japan (with Congress necessarily aiding and abetting through an official declaration). If so, FDR's war declaration of December 8, 1941 was not righteous at all, but a mere ruse perpetrated with 1941 Node Node @17Virgo conjunct FDR's natal Uranus Rx rising: reformist politics; radical new ideas; meeting with unusual people.

Also notable in the 1941 Attack Horoscope shown below, is that the Mars-Chiron midpoint (the 'sacred warrior' duo) @15Gem00 conjuncts the goal-oriented Gemini Sun, while the 7:52 am LT Midheaven ('MC'; The Objective) holds the pair of fated questing upon it: Sun-Chiron @14Lib52 - and with US 1775 Saturn @14Lib48 conjunct MC as well. The goal? Roping in Congress for the consolidation and legalization of presidential authority (to wage war).

And of course, Chiron is associated with bombs, wounds, and the atomic power that Harry Truman later used to decimate Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, and which, as the American people are always told, helped end WWII. Now there's a morality issue extraordinaire.

So I wonder: was retaliation for the Attack moral justification to use nuclear power as the ultimate goal of a far-sighted America aided by Nazi scientists brought over to work in the US after WWII (aka, Operation Paperclip), so that the power struggle and grabbing of Germany's weapons secrets had to begin with a delaration of war against Japan? This is a simplistic question, I agree, but on this 'Black Friday' 2022, I'm just typing out loud as Luna waxes toward fulfillment and complete awareness, culminating in mid-Gemini on December 7, 2022, and spotlighting the 81st anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor, a horrific event which occurred under the auspices of a 16 North Solar Eclipse with its themes of Uranus-Neptune-inspired 'illumination' and 'bright ideas' (B. Brady).

Then perhaps a quick look at a bi-wheel of 1941 vs 2022 planets could be instructive regarding the aggressive, expansive United States of America, currently under siege by hostile forces both foreign and domestic. And if you wish, take a step back in history by listening to the radio broadcast of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt delivering his "date that will live in infamy" speech to a joint session of Congress and declaring war on Japan (as commemorated by Radios of the Era).

In closing, I shall add a heartfelt R.I.P. to all those who died in the Attack on Pearl Harbor and to those who've lost their lives during America's lied-into wars, including my generation's duplicitous, fog-of-war (US Mars-Neptune square) Vietnam War (horoscope shown in which the "break-up of a value system" unsurprisingly appears).

And here is an excerpt from the suppressed footage of the damage done to the Japanese people. The horrific death and suffering of women and children failed to keep the culpable Mr. Truman from his slumbers but the annihilation of Hirsohima and Nagasaki has always seemed to me to be one (only one!) of America's greatest sins for the US government roared like a dragon in heat and millions paid the price of Truman's Abomination Extravaganza:

Here is a view of the natal chart of the Hiroshima Bombing, August 6, 1945 8:15 am JST and among other things, you'll notice that on that date warring Mars conjoined US natal Uranus 8Gem55 (taking a non-traditional approach, new techniques, explosions, danger in the environment) and expansive adventurer Jupiter had recently transited US natal Neptune (illusion, pretense, paranoia, fanaticism.)

Plus, today's position of Jupiter conjoins the Uranus position of August 6, 1945 @16Gem29 (unpredictable inspirations, group causes taken up, financial investments prosper, and Astrology is beneficial) and the Bombing's Midheaven (The Goal--objectives take a major new direction, significant alteration of lifestyle.)

There are a few midpoint pictures in the Hiroshima Bombing horoscope which cry out to be mentioned while we're on the topic so I'll close this fuss with them and a Jon Stewart video.

The first involves the Uranus-Neptune pair, planets of The Enlightenment (well, they certainly lit up Japan, didn't they?), which last met in Great Conjunction/s three times on or around '18Cap' in 1993 and their Oct 24 meeting times a natal chart of the New World Order (which is actually what we're discussing here like a silent, sinister program running in the background.) The Sabian Symbol for '18Cap' = POLITICAL POWER; neg: smug or strong-armed paternalism--MEJ.

Another midpoint picture spotlights President Truman (because he was US president at the time) by its degree--13Can13 (conj US natal Sun)--and because Uranus conjoined MC as the Bomb dropped (within a 1-minute orb), so there's another midpoint of plutonian power @13Can13 as well:

Uranus-Neptune = Pluto @9Leo57: the big picture commands a certain course of action which must be followed, very little option to do otherwise; great losses, calamities, catastrophes.

Uranus-Pluto = US natal Sun: revolution; urge for independence (by the Man From Independence); breakdown; catastrophe.

Pluto-MC = US n Sun: wanting to spread one's wings and fly; eager for excitement; major life change is illuminated; desire for power and authority.

And of course there are revelations shown by the MC-Uranus-Mars trio at The Goal Point of the chart involving the hotheaded, rebellious, forceful pair of Mars-Uranus:

Mars-Uranus = MC: an inflexible character with a desire for independence (peep-eye, Give 'Em Hell Harry!); putting a gun (or bomb) to someone's head; taking drastic measures.

Mars-MC = Uranus: the big push, the quick advance; winning right away; rash; argumentative; inflamed.

Uranus-MC = Mars: rash action; upping the tempo; argumentative and challenging; temperamental drive for ego recognition.

Is this a lighter topic? Hmmm...uncertain.....

What to expect from the first of four debates this Wednesday night (Oct 3, 2012 9:00 pm edt)? Mr. Romney must "instigate" while President Obama is determined to hold onto the ball!

During the debate I'll be watching planets rise, set, culminate and enter/leave houses as the brouhaha goes on and if anything curious or interesting occurs (as particular topics are addressed or incidents happen) I'll write about it on this seven-years-old-on-Oct-17th blog for your consideration. Wildfires approach Chernobyl

Russia's over-centraliztion of power is being blamed in some quarters for the ineffectual fighting of the 500 wildfires engulfing Russia these last two weeks.

Perhaps it's kinda like putting FEMA out of sight and out of effectiveness into the bowels of Homeland Security here in America.

Even worse news from Russia is that fire is approaching the Chernobyl site, a disaster we shall lament in perpetuity.

It's astoundingly tragic but such are the times of Cardinal T-Squares and Grand Crosses. Where will it end? The horoscope of the Chernobyl disaster (April 1986) has Neptune @ 5-6 Capricorn, where Pluto, planet of nuclear power, now traverses.

Pluto to Neptune: struggles for ideological and/or spiritual control; power becomes an illusion or can be slowly eroded by undermining forces that go undetected.

Meanwhile, my heart goes out to the Russian people, to the drowning Pakistani people, and to the people of Japan who've just honored their dead killed so horrifically by the US bombing of Hiroshima...the 'abomination of desolation'.
