April 29, 2024: Mars Meets Neptune

Mars-Neptune and the Search for Greener Pastures

by Jude Cowell

Please pardon the messiness of my study notes penned on the chart, below, it's been a tiring week for multiple reasons, and Mercury retrograde hasn't helped matters. Even so, I want to publish the DC Horoscope of the upcoming Mars-Neptune Conjunction @28Pis52 which lands upon the difficult fixed star of misfortune, Scheat. The conjunction also perfects upon the Jupiter-Pluto midpoint, the power-seeking planetary pair of Plutocracy and big wheeler-dealing.

Obviously, big finance (banking), power politics, religion, and transnational corporatism are indicated along with congressional and court proceedings; a measure of dissatisfaction tends to come along with Mars-Neptune, and the usual fogginess, confusion, and possibly misdirected energies are always present with America's 1776 Mars-Neptune square (in this chart, from 6th to 8th house), and will affect conditions from behind the scenes, perhaps surreptiously; see below for notes concerning this horoscope's unaspected ruler, Saturn:

Then as you see, the rising Capricorn Moon plays a prominent role in the chart and the situation; Luna is out of bounds ('OOBs') so is somehow emotionally alienated or estranged, and yet she also leads all the planets in a BOWL shape which denotes advancing a cause or a mission. Of course, Capricorn is the sign of government, law, business, and investments, and sign and chart-ruler Saturn rules legalities, judges, lawmakers, managers, and older, more experienced participants. Or, we might say, adults in the room.

Yet typically dutiful Saturn, when unaspected in a horoscope, can tend toward indifference or a lack of concern over processes outside a limited sphere of operation. In fact, a lack of motivation to take direct action may be noticed. And with the Mars-Neptune duo suggesting confusion, indecision, and inconsistent efforts, unaspected Saturn's slackness may allow matters to become more disorganized, even chaotic. Add to this unaspected Saturn's lack of conscience and any Saturnian proceedings may linger a while without resolution - until limits are placed or rules established.

A Piscean Sabian Symbol to Ponder

Mars-Neptune's rounded up degree is 29 Pisces with a Sabian Symbol of "A Prism" (see the chart's upper right corner for the keyword). This is, "A symbol of the world's stability," a potential which sounds really good about now, as you may agree.

June 18, 2020: Inauguration 2017's Mars Return

Mars Return 2020 Signals a New Cycle of Activity for the US Presidency

by Jude Cowell

June 5, 2020: In the Inauguration 2017 Horoscope (January 20, 2017 12:00 pm est Capitol Building Washington DC) activist planet Mars @24Pis21 in 11th house of Groups, Alliances, Hopes and Wishes, appears in a line-up in Pisces with Chiron (21:48), Venus (17:44), and Neptune (10:16). All four are in direct motion and in the 11th house.

So in consideration of recent turbulent events which involve Mars (peaceful - Pisces - activism - Mars - and the strong-armed quelling of it - Mars - one way by using Neptunian tear gas) the following Mars Return Horoscope may be of interest to the curious reader. Please enlarge the image if you wish to to read my study notes penned on the chart for there's ony a little text typed into this post (yours truly is in need of a weekend break!) but there are quite a few tidbits you may wish to consider. Not penned on the chart: rubber bullets, another apt description of a Pisces Mars along with some police officers (Mars) taking a knee while others oppress American citizens who exercise their right to free speech (US Mars Rx by progression):

Image: June 18, 2020 7:22:38 pm edt Capitol Building Washington DC; Hour of Mercury at Station and conjunct Sirius (the scorcher) and US natal Sun (1776). Note that Saturn Rx @00AQ48 continues its conjunction to US Inaugural Sun (@00AS49, lower left). Also see Sabian Symbols for Mars and Neptune, lower right.

Actually June 18, 2020 is a significant day for more cosmic reasons than one so you may wish to see or review June 2020 Transits to the Inauguration 2017 Horoscope, plus, there's June and July 2020: A Cosmic Sandwich of Eclipses - starting today at 3:13 pm edt! - and Crisis and the June 2020 Solar Eclipse at Summer Solstice.

Stephen Colbert on Romney's poll numbers (video) and his Pisces Planets

Last week Stephen Colbert reported on the Romney campaign's lack of oomph in the polls and I'm just now posting the video to cheer up my two Romney-supporting friends who are admittedly down in the dumps. I'm not certain which stage of grief they've entered (they'd rather not talk about it) but I'm sure this will help them deal:

Right away astrologers recognize Mr. Colbert's 'Aqua Romney' as a (perhaps unconscious?) reference to Mitt's natal Sun, Mercury, and Mars in watery, diversionary Pisces! Just when you think you've 'caught' a Pisces, he swims away.

And it seems curious to me that Romney's assumption that it's now his "turn" to be president (added to the regressive GOP platform meant to roll back progressive programs from FDR's New Deal, Civil Rights advances, women's reproductive rights, and more) shows an interesting synchronicity with the Inaugural Sun positions prior to the change from early March (Sun 13Pis+) to January 20 (00 AQ+) for noon Inaugurations, a switch which took place between FDR's Inaugurations of 1933 and 1937--and Romney's natal Mercury Rx = 13Pis55!

Don't know about you, dear reader, but I do Not want to live under 1930s conditions any more than we already are, either with or without Mr. Romney playing the role of president!

VA Tech and the Moon

After grieving yesterday and Monday, yes, k.c., I have been looking at charts for Monday's violence with its Mars/Uranus = NN lining up, and Mars in Pisces (he was apparently on meds for depression--look out drug-makers) being squared by Venus in Gemini--and Venus conjunct asteroid Midas.

Venus in Gemini--two women--or the duplicitous woman? Money-mad Midas and Venus were in the 2nd house of Money when the violence began.

Mars/Uranus = NN: sudden events shared with others; execution of extraordinary and unusual enterprises; hyperexcitability.

Tr NN is conjunct Fixed Star, Achernar, risk of rapid endings...and this configuration isn't perfected yet.

The midpoint itself...Mars/Uranus = urge for freedom; suddenly available energy application; a test of nerves; dominant will; tremendous urge to action.

Just after 7:15 am on Monday, the midpoint of oppressive Pluto/Chiron was at MC. What concerns me now is that at 7:51 am that day, the Moon reached 12 Aries and beyond:

"13Ari": "A bomb, now safely concealed, fails to explode" which speaks of the infinite capacity of the world to absorb and nullify the destructive acts of man.

Keyword: IMPETUOUSNESS...

pos: a dramatic rejection of any accomplishment falling at all short of very deep or hallowed purpose;

neg: a waste of opportunity and a futile expenditure of self through vanity or petulence.

After hearing that the school had been receiving bomb threats before Monday, I don't like mentioning the Moon's degree esp considering that Cho's whereabouts between the two shootings are unknown and hopefully being retraced successfully now. Are they considering the possibility of bombs being tucked away?

Cho's actions were a "dramatic rejection" of the values of the school, the faculty, and the students and of the hallowed purpose which schools attempt to instill in their students.

But for some kids the hyposcrisy rings hollow rather than hallowed. How sad that no one listened to the warnings about this young man.
