"Reign Of Terror" and the Fixed Grand Cross Eclipse

October 5, 2021: If you're a reader with 18 minutes to spare, you could spend your time much worse than watching 'Reign Of Terror' author Spencer Ackerman interviewed on the Amanpour & Co channel: How the 9/11 Era Destablized America and Produced Trump (#ad). Mr. Ackerman's book is based on his years of national security journalism and reporting on such topics as the victimization across the globe by the so-called 'American Imperialism' tyranny and the loss of our civil liberties in the US since 9/11. The book details events from the Oklahoma City Bombing (horoscope shown) to the Mob Attack of January 6, 2021 ('1/6') with what I'll call 'red hats tips' to demagogue Tr*mp, racism, and the white supremacy movement he spearheaded into the mainstream as if it belongs there.

Speaking as an American who has never been certain that the 9/11/01 WTC attack/s were not inside jobs, 'Reign Of Terror' has been published none too soon. And speaking astrologically, I continue to feel that the 1 North King of Terror Eclipse of August 11, 1999 (the problematic eclipse that Nostradmus pointed toward so long ago - see chart, below) holds many dark clues with its rigid Fixed Grand Cross of Sun-Moon-Mars-Saturn-Uranus, and, if you prefer to count it, the Nodal Axis of destiny, manifesting at or very near mid-degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus-Scorpio/oxen-eagle points, Leo-Aquarius/lion-angel points) - with the four signs' associated animals mentioned in The Book of Revelation.

So now in 2021, in spite of the earth changes now afflicting the globe which are promised to be worsening, you, dear reader, may choose to disagree that humanity is in 'the last days'. Well, of course it's your right to disagree as you wish. Not that I give up hope for mankind at all but simply to face reality if such a difficult reality is soon to be upon us. (Remember I'm a Saturnian astrologer who sees DNA and genetics in horoscopes - the only 'past lives' I find in charts are generational and ancestral!)

So below you see the August 11, 1999 King of Alarm Horoscope with its Fixed Grand Cross and note that Mars-Saturn is the 'death axis' according to Reinhold Ebertin - squaring erratic Uranus (shocks and sudden events) = 'applying brute force; loud, brash disruptions; separation; death' (M. Munkasey; R. Ebertin):

Now the 1999 King of Terror (or, ' of Alarm') Eclipse is member of the 1 North Saros Series with themes of: 'unexpected events place great pressure on personal relationships and groups; issues loom large so make no hasty decisions until influences pass; information is distorted or possibly false; fatigue and/or health problems' (paraphrasing Predictive Astrology by Bernadette Brady #ad). To me this sounds much like events within the 'New Millennium'. And as you know, the 1 North family is also called, The Mother Of All Eclipses because it's number one and this makes it particularly prominent and influential upon earthly events whenever it appears in the 18.6-year eclipse cycle. Additional information can be gleaned from the fact that the initial eclipse in the 1 North family began on January 4, 1639 @13Cap38 (opposite US Sun on July 4, 1776) which means that all 1 North eclipses can be viewed through a Saturnian/Capricornian lens.

Meanwhile, forming a cosmic time link into the second decade of the New Millennium, is the Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 @29Leo, also a member of the 1 North family - and it 'eclipsed' the natal Ascendant of one Donald Tr*mp (who infamously removed safety glasses and looked directly at the total eclipse - are his squinting eyes affected by this now?).

So! As a follow-through we might think to wonder when is the next 1 North Solar Eclipse? That solar eclipse will arrive on September 2, 2035 @9Virgo, a degree eclipsed before and which, if I typed about it here, would turn this brief post into an e-book and neither of us want that, am I right?

Reconsidering the Natal Chart of Thomas Paine

Recently I discovered an interesting site featuring an excerpt from Bertrand Russell's book of essays such as, Why I Am Not a Christian though I did not read far enough to find out his reason. But that's because the excerpt concerned Thomas Paine and his fate. The page contains a few typos one of which is Paine's birth year as '1739' rather than the '1737' we're accustomed to (see his natal horoscope, below).

Also mentioned is Paine's relationship with George Washington which soured once Thomas Paine was imprisoned in France for opposing the King's execution and Jacobin Robespierre's Reign of Terror. So in honor of Thomas Paine and his revolutionary pamphlets that inspired and uplifted our freedom fighters (as at Valley Forge, see eclipse link, below), I hereby pass along Paine's words describing his former friend and compatriot, George Washington, which were meant for the sculptor once Paine discovered that a statue was to be created in honor of Washington who died in 1799:

Take from the mine the coldest, hardest stone,

It needs no fashion; it is Washington.

But if you chisel it, let the stroke be rude,

And on his heart engrave--ingratitude.

As usual with Thomas Paine's writing, his opinion is clear and to the point--and based on the fact that our nation's upstanding cult figure Washington deserted Paine in his time of extreme need. Some fellow Mason George turned out to be.

The Horoscope of Thomas Paine with the Curious Transits of 2006

Details of Paine's unresolved birth data may be found at astro.com including his January 29, 1737 (OS) 11:30 am Thetford, England horoscope shown here though you may prefer his NS (New Style = Gregorian) chart dated February 9, 1737 (England was still on the Julian calendar in 1737). Around his natal chart are the intriguing transits of May 13, 2006 when the Sun conjoined his natal Chiron (22Taurus) and transit Chiron conjoined his natal Sun (9AQ), an acausal synchronicity suggesting a Chirotic bridge to multidimensional realms as Uranian principles are put into Saturnian form. Sun-Chiron identifies Paine as a unique seeker of The Quest who burned with purpose in his writings.

The reason the double transit manifested in 2006 so far eludes me but if something turns up I will let you know--like an edition of Common Sense released in early 2006 and available on Kindle because it's a must-read for Americans once again, perhaps?

Also note that his January 29th horoscope Ascendant @2Gemini reveals a very appropriate Sabian Symbol for Thomas Paine: The Garden of the Tuileries in Paris, an 'ambassadorial degree' says *DeVore:

Notable is Paine's generational Uranus-Neptune opposition which appears in horoscopes of his era including those of George Washington and John Adams. For as you know, these are the planets imprinted upon the Age of Reason, aka, the Enlightenment. The founding of America, the Utopian dream and 'New Atlantis' of Francis Bacon, Bartholomew Gosnold (Jamestown pioneer), Adam Weishaupt (founder of the Bavarian Illuminati May 1, 1776), and others, was inspired by the ideas and ideals of the Enlightenment and later blossomed on a new continent under Paine and other founders who were born during the culmination-fulfillment stage of the Uranus-Neptune 171-year cycle.

The Current Cycle of Uranus-Neptune Tells of Power Misused

In our era, Uranus and Neptune (reason + faith) met in Great Conjunction/s three times in 1993 at or about 18 Capricorn which implemented the degree's enlightening Sabian Symbol, "The Union Jack Flag Flies from a British Warship...Keynote: the protection afforded to individuals and groups by powerful institutions in charge of maintaining order. POLITICAL POWER" (Rudhyar). "Alas, this power can easily be misused under the pretext of 'law and order'." Ah yes, pretexts are totally relied upon in Politics and I doubt politicians could manage without them for then truths would have to be told and their masks would slip.

Additionally, the symbol for '18Cap' highlights a warning "against using power for selfish advantage" and points toward the ruses and scams perpetrated by Britain (the City of London) and its never-really-severed alliance with the American government. For example, Uranus and Neptune in opposition identifies the era of freedom-lover Thomas Paine as a time of secret alliances, important information withheld from the people, apathy of the masses which allows leaders to undermine the people's natural freedoms, nationalism, unrest, strong economic and military developments, and countries hurled into a major world conflict a few years later (Pelletier).

This generational opposition also gave Thomas Paine and his contemporaries an intrinsic understanding of national and international politics for which he personally felt a responsibility to arouse the people whenever public opinion can reverse a threatening danger which may involve religious, social, and racial issues along with the political.

Such was the life and the mission of seeker Thomas Paine who died a pauper on June 8, 1809 and whose dedicated service to the Cause of Freedom I hereby honor with this post. jc.

Happy Cinqo de Mayo 2009!

Hoisting a Mexican beer, dancing to mariachi music, and reveling in the streets describes the usual celebration of Cinqo de Mayo, aka '5 de Mayo' or 'Cinco de Mayo' but you may wish to know more of why you're celebrating this fun, if highly commercialized, holiday.

UCLA has an informative site, as well as the holiday's Wiki page, and Viva Cinqo de Mayo! gives a more detailed history of the circumstances that led to the Battle of Puebla on the morning of May 5, 1862 when 8,000 French (English and Spanish) troops were routed by 4,000 Mexicans.

Quelle embarrassment! The French Army had not been bested in 50 years.

Plus, Napoleon III had figured the US was otherwise engaged with our own 'Civil' War and wouldn't be a problem. We were. But check out the history as linked above.

Yes, Mexico City was eventually overtaken and occupied with Emperor Napoleon III's installation of a Hapsburg prince to play the part of 'Emperor of Mexico' which went down very badly with the Mexican people as you may imagine.

And the whole mess had been sparked by Mexico's bankruptcy due to - you guessed it - the costs of fighting too many wars. My intuition says that fraud and corruption were involved as well.

Now what do you suppose the US can take from that lesson?

Astrology charts for the date that President Juarez suspended payments on foreign debts (July 17, 1861) shows rebellious, freedom-loving Uranus at 14Gem36; the morning chart on May 5, 1862 has Uranus rising at 7:27 am lmt, 14Gem34, so Cinqo de Mayo was the final conjunction of the Uranus Return to the 1861 chart. (The second and Rx conj was on Nov 29, 1861.)

The chart for May 5, 1862, the Battle of Puebla, also shows Uranus at apex in a midpoint picture involving Jupiter/Neptune, the 'grand spirit; speculation; wasteful' pair of planetary energies, so the original Cinqo de Mayo has this signature ('any, all, or none' may apply)...

Jupiter/Neptune = Uranus: sudden recognition of a difficult situation; reality vs imagination; coming down to earth with a bump; liking the shades; intuitionally innovative; charisma.
