Obamaism vs Reaganism: Jupiter-Neptune and Pluto-Chiron

As we read in The Guardian the economic rescue made so necessary by Wall Street culprits and the continuing economic policies first perpetrated under Reaganism have not been replaced or corrected by Obamaism which arrived in the wake of the disastrous 8-year Bush-Cheney regime that undeniably culminated with Financial Crash 2008. That the Obama presidency is historic for breaking the color barrier and began with great hopes for positive change (something the 2009 Jupiter-Neptune conjunction/s inspired and supported) is obvious yet America's Main Street vs Wall Street conundrum remains tucked underneath a whopping income inequality divide. Many people agree that Mr. Obama saved Wall Street but Main Street? Not so much.

To paraphrase The Guardian article many Americans are finally waking up to our massively wide income divide. Yes, but will a majority of us fall again for discredited Reaganomics policies and candidates in November 2016? Will such sleepwalking voters show up at the polls?

Actually the Venus Cycle indicates that voters will demand someone other, or different which usually means a president of the rival party--Republican, in this case. There have been two exceptions to the Venus Prediction as noted by expert astrologer Bernadette Brady, yet 2016 Democratic candidates may be able to fulfill the requirements of 'the other'--Bernie for his Democratic Socialism, Hillary for her gender. However, in the Republican stable, Donald Trump may suffice due to his not-a-politician condition and even Ted Cruz could because he was in Canada though disqualified he may turn out to be.

Now those readers who were around Stars Over Washington since 2009 and before know that I have typed a large amount of words concerning Jupiter and Neptune as a pair of energies that represent potentials for 'the grand spirit, visions, big promises, flowery religious sentiments, get-rich-quick schemes, fraud, waste, speculation, hypocrisy (Ebertin)--and irresponsible, abusive, or reckless financial mismanagement. Political conflicts are also within the realms of Jupiter-Neptune (ex: Republicans vowing failure for President Obama since Day One). Such readers may be familiar with astrological principles and if so, they have not missed the significant synchronicity of the three 2009 conjunctions of Jupiter and Neptune perfecting upon the US Moon in late Aquarius as seen on July 4, 1776...mundane Moon = We the People.

The blend of this grand influence of the societal planet of expansion (Jupiter) and urge-to-merge Neptune (often a leader in fraud, falsehood, deception, loss, failure, and planet of The Masses, The Media, and propaganda) led us in 2009+ to be exploited by our dreaminess, by falling into a swoon, having little sense of reality, becoming involved in speculation and fraud, losing ourselves in plans which brought waste, loss, and instability for a majority of the public. That America's natal Neptune @22Virgo conjunct fixed star Denebola (to go against society) obscures Barack Obama's natal Mars @22Virgo made the use of Jupiter-Neptune = natal Moon easier for those who were aware of the significance of such cosmic occurrences that were timed to chime with our newly elected "rock star" president (Mars-Neptune).

The Neptunian veil cast over Mr. Obama's Mars denotes a lack of clear vision or understanding when it comes to the president's actions and motivations (Mars) which he and his backers have hidden behind when acting in secret. Neptune veiling Mars also accounts in part for the lack of trust in President Obama and we all suffer from this constant refrain from Republicans whether we share their distrust or not.

And of course, Mars is the warrior planet but this post is more about financial issues even though the Pentagon is next after Wall Street and the Fed on my financial mismanagement list since global copping and conquest are very expensive to maintain as are US military bases, CIA annexes, prisons, and our embassies all over the world.

So now, since the 1980s (or even the 1970s), we have increased Income Inequality thanks to a society that has devolved into more of a US Plutocracy than the Founders set it up to be. And as we face the November 8, 2016 Election/s, only a large voter turn out by Democrats can hope to deflect the GOP ('grand old plutocrats') from taking the White House and playing the decades-long game of Democrats grow the economy--Republicans harvest it dry (thereby creating more beggars out of the rest of us). This is a game set up by hidden hands secreted away in their European lairs (headquarters such as the City of London and the Vatican Bank) and it is somewhat visible in the World Bank, the IMF, and the Rothschild system of central banks that throttle the world's finances and resources while continuing to enslave the people via debts that can never be paid off. This exploitative condition between the 'haves and the have-nots' can be further described in Astrology by the Pluto-Chiron pair and all its -isms including Capitalism, Communism, racism--and primal violence.

Yes, the much-touted New Millennium has shown as a timing device for enslaving the world more tightly in the raptor's grip--in finances, total surveillance, politically, you name it. The current Pluto-Chiron cycle began with their conjunction in late 1999--at 12 Sagittarius, conjunct America's Ascendant in her late afternoon horoscopes of July 4, 1776 (I tend to use 5:09 pm LMT since it places 00Aries at IC though our Scorpio Rising chart is also descriptive). Therefore, Pluto-Chiron-r-us. But did Plutocracy need to announce its arrival as the New Millennium began? Many people were awake and aware of its tightening grasp upon our nation and government pre-1999 with the 60-year Pluto-Chiron cycle involving a transformation of mass consciousness, an expression of a mass need (Nolle)--and this we now hear in the campaign rhetoric of both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

Plus, how can we not wake up? The Sabian Symbol for 12 Sagittarius should have opened our ears back in 1999 into 2000: "A Flag Turned Into an Eagle That Crows"! Odd how the Bush gang had draconian changes to our traditional principles and freedoms ready to implement just after the attacks of 9/11/01--as if part of a plan. One question for 2016: is there a presidential candidate who isn't part of the plan? That's the one I want.

So since Democratic Socialist Senator Sanders is calling for a political revolution and because of his reform ideas and the fact that a Pluto-Chiron conjunction appears in the natal horoscope of Karl Marx (Marxism! Socialism!), I suggest that Pluto-Chiron's expression of a mass need is primarily the need to close the glaring gap in incomes in the US and beat Plutocracy of any political stripe back into its dungeon where it belongs if our allegedly democratic republic is planning to exist into the future.

Perhaps you watched HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver this past Sunday (5.4.14 11:00 pm EDT) and his comedic report about the country of Brunei and its super-wealthy Sultan. As you know, Mr. Oliver subbed for Jon Stewart on The Daily Show all last summer when Jon was off making a film. Sarah Palin's natal chart and a Mystery Bus Tour 5.29.11

Some are calling it Sarah Palin's mystery tour for the loose ends still dangling as the perennial candidate prepares for what apparently is a bus tour to get the presidential ball rolling...today, it's a speaking engagement for Rolling Thunder who are camped out in a Pentagon parking lot.

Yet particulars are sparse concerning Palin's tour schedule and what she'll be doing at the various stops she makes. So far, I'm calling this her 'bus tour to somewhere' and will wait for more details which are promised on her website though one must assume that fund raising may be part of the deal. Some think it's her nomination to lose yet with Palin's propensity toward gaffes and blank answers to serious questions, she may outdo Newt on foot-shooting well before the 2012 campaign ends in a Republican nomination for president.

Okay, so I've never visited Palin's website and don't follow her on Twitter either. But if she makes it through this mystery 'campaign' I'll have to re-familiarize myself with her unusual antics and her natal horoscope, too, because posts like this, written while she was still acting as governor of Alaska, will no longer suffice if she enters the 2012 race.

Yet no matter what time of day or night the demi-candidate entered Earth's time flux, her Sun, Mars, and Saturn are near the US natal Moon - no matter which birth hour for America you use for July 4, 1776. And that makes a Palin presidency a potential even though her closest planet to our Moon (we-the-people) is restrictive yet long-lasting Saturn. But there is one natal planetary aspect which deserves a closer look and it does not depend on knowing her precise birth time.


Religious Jupiter Inconjunct Spiritual Neptune

Sarah Palin's closely orbed, applying inconjunct between Jupiter in mid-Aries and Neptune 17Sco49 indicates relating issues and some distortion between intellect and emotions. Too many responsibilities tend to be taken on with tirades of bitter complaints being the result. Warmth, a positive attitude, and social conscience are evident yet the relating principle (Jupiter) is affected by Neptunian illusions and delusions. She dreams (Neptune) of power, control, and big money (Scorpio) and relates (Jupiter) as a pioneering, action-oriented, me-first leader (Aries) - or broadcaster (Jupiter.)

NYSE may be sold to foreigners: Venus/Pluto? Jupiter/SN?

As you've heard, it was announced today (with evaluating, negotiating Venus conjunct wealthy Pluto 6Cap39 on February 9, 2011 in the evening est) that the NYSE may be purchased by a German group marking the first time in its long history that the US stock exchange will be held in foreign hands.

The natal chart of the *New York Stock Exchange certainly must show this by an important transit or two (though I don't know how long negotiations have been afoot), right? Well, I'm typing this after midnight on Feb 10 (always a bad idea for me to blog after midnight) so I'll stop typing long enough to snag an astro- peek...pardon me for a moment...


Okay, I checked current transits to the natal and secondary progressed charts of the New York Stock Exchange and there aren't as many planetary triggers occurring now as I expected. And yet...

Feb 9, 2011's Jupiter (money; investments; corporations; conglomerates; gurus, adventurers, Republicans) @ 3Ari37 conjoins NYSE's natal South Node, a separative point relating to past behaviors and talents which are still depended upon; natal SN falls in NYSE's n 10th house of Career, Public Status, and the Larger World.

With SN having a Saturnian influence, Jupiter/SN is similar in its influence to a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction and indicates severe limitations in opportunities and creates obstacles in plans for expansion in financial and business ventures. Larger social forces (transit Pluto in Capricorn opposing US natal Venus and Jupiter in Cancer?) affect future plans, conflicts of interest arise, and there may be problems encountered in business transactions involving foreign lands (uh oh.)

Another transit is Sun 22AQ approaching NYSE's natal Pluto 23AQ31 in n 8th H of Shared Resources, Debt, Credit, Transformation, etc...NYSE's progressed Pluto @ 21AQ44 is being highlighted by the Sun now, then natal Pluto will be lit up...perhaps describing the time frame of the actual confirmation of the sale "as soon as next week." Sun to Pluto transits spotlight the use of power and indicate that someone is getting his way.

And when tr Mars (now @ 20AQ) reaches Pluto, a karmic or fated endeavor or task is on the menu, plus, others may feel vengeful and hostile (one thinks of a 'hostile take-over' but I assume this one is amiable and motivated by money and/or by far-reaching plans.)

The ongoing tr Jupiter/Uranus conjunction is occurring in NYSE's natal 10th house which shows technological and financial opportunities on the world stage, and of course, tr SN has completed its 18.6-year visit to America's natal planets in Cancer, two of which have financial connotations: Venus, Jupiter, and Sun.

Then we note NYSE's natal Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in 4th house, the speculator/grand plans pair of planetary energies. Transit Saturn 17Lib02 Rx has been near the duo and will pass 'through' them soon so when restrictive Saturn cleaves them we'll see:

Natal Jupiter/Neptune = tr Saturn: lack of confidence; pessimism; feeling abandoned by one's luck.

This transit may not bode well for how the transaction will proceed. Or will buyer's remorse kick in? After all, natal Saturn 26Ari22 will be receiving its opposition from tr Saturn soon which means that if there are things to regret about the past (Saturn) one regrets them a bunch.

In fact, failures of the past plus what isn't working in the present both cause regrets and conditions of loss. Yet once the Saturn-opposite-Saturn period is over and Saturnian lessons are learned (assuming that they are and accountability is faced), things may be profitably accomplished and endeavors will then progress.

Now see? Just when American workers thought they had been abandoned by their luck (as orchestrated by powerful banksters and their colleagues in cahoots), we find that the ritzy NYSE has had its troubles, too.

But hold on to your piggybanks! Aren't Wall Streeters rolling in bigger-than-ever profits these days from corporations laying off 'costly' US workers and nabbing huge profits overseas? And what about all the hacking of NASDAQ? Sheesh. Sounds like an astro-peek for a sunny day.

(As you know, '00-1Tau' may be called Hitler's trigger degree for he exhibited extreme violence when this degree of his natal Sun was transited-activated-triggered; aka, a degree of violence.)

Alan Meece's book Horoscope for the New Millennium concerning Jup/Nep opposite Saturn in France's 'Proclamation of the Republic' chart (data listed above, Aug 10, 1792) showing the violent Marseillaise Trio of Jupiter, Neptune, and Mars in late Libra), and the emergence of:

Jupiter/Neptune (religion) opposite Saturn (nation-state) = religion of the nation-state, with the revolutionary activities of Robespierre and colleagues 'replacing' religion with Reason, a signature of the Illuminati and others, as the nation-state took precedence over, and total control of, the individual. This horoscope describes 'seeds of future terrorism' and may be used for events and people involved in the terrorism and mock-terrorism of our day, false flags and all.

To me it seems worthy to consider the concept of the nation-state within our current global climate where nations and states both are under attack by plutonic forces seeking to dissolve them (and create chaos meant to lead us to a one-world-government), and the concept's relationship to WikiLeaks document dumps as they relate to invasions and occupations of sovereign nations and the plundering of their treasures by 'civilized' nations acting as arms of the global crime syndicate which now holds Julian Assange within its overbearing grasp.

For the US, the current legal dilemma for Mr. Assange falls under the astrological auspices of America's Saturn Return (2010-2011) and I believe that only America's natal Saturn being exalted in Libra, sign of the Scales of Justice - if correctly and honestly expressed - can protect one man's right to breathe freely after he has uncovered a speck too much of the global crime syndicate's inner workings across the globe - and with more revelations promised.

And the US Espionage Act being used against him in the US? He'll probably argue he's a reporter with a right to Constitutional protection! He turned himself in to London police on Dec 7, 2010 9:30 am UT with Pluto 4Cap27, Mercury the Reporter 5Cap10, and Moon 5:35 rising (Moon = publicity); Mercury's Rx Station occurs at its 'surrender' degree on Friday 12.10.10. This particular global reporter is stuck in a London Victorian-era jail where Oscar Wilde sat once upon a time...convicted for his alleged sexual acts.

And so, my interested concern over legal fairness in Mr. Assange's case (and his shaky physical safety which is not being addressed here but could be in small part with: Jup/Nep = ideals/flight/enterprises restricted (Saturn) by government (Saturn) is that Jupiter/Neptune's negative connotations listed above include 'foolish or unfounded legal situations' and (sad to say), a 'degraded justice system'.

Yet thanks to Assange and WikiLeaks supporters known as hacktivists, Operation Payback is underway and who knows? Perhaps some honest legal minds and hearts will eventually prevail and beneficially affect the Australian whistle blower's ultimate fate.

For as Rep. Ron Paul says, “In a free society, we are supposed to know the truth. In a society where truth becomes treason, we are in big trouble.”

Amen. And as Jude Cowell says, "The US government has made a fancy show of embracing 'whistle blowers' when it comes to passing legislation to protect them, yet now the whistle blows against the US government causing another of the ruling oligarchy's masks of hypocrisy to melt away..."

They'll want to be more careful of that.

And by the way: today's announcement of the long-awaited financial 'reform' bill by Senator Chris Dodd today reveals that the bill intends to grant the Fed more power, not less! Well, it isn't as if I expected much improvement out of the Senator from the credit card state.

With Lehman Brothers in the news again I searched SO'W for a previous article from September 2008 concerning the Lehman Brothers crisis - of 1984, that watershed year of infamy.

From what I've heard recently on NPR, the crisis of 1984 taught the firm nothing worth passing down to the modern CEOs of a company that knew what it was practicing was fraudulent but they did it anyway.

At some point, the Brothers must have contracted a bad case of Enronitis and passed that down instead, one supposes.

You'll also find in the above-linked article a certain list of Who Really Rules the World...good to know in case you need a bailout or a credit line extension, right?

Health care reform getting wimpier by minute 7.27.09

If you were planning to visit or send flowers, you'd better get a move on, Honey, because what's being left out of President Obama's health care reform bill is leaving the dregs too skeletal for signing, too wimpy to boast about, and too cheap to buy a soda on a Saturday night.

As I've typed here previously, the proof of R's and D's good faith on this (and any other) matter is what the American people end up with in the Real World that exists outside the artificial reality that Capitol Hillers help promote to keep the natives quiet - if you accept its fairytale sparklies.

On TV in the background now is Fed head Ben Bernanke on C-SPAN answering questions (taped) on the financial collapse in his newly assumed PR role of Warm and Fuzzy Banker Man who Understands Our Pain. He doesn't feel it - he just understands it on an intellectual level.

"We tried to save Lehman Brothers," he says. It was a 'big hole' the Fed couldn't fill, in case you were wondering what happened.

May I suggest that the most glaring 'big hole' is in the head of the American people for allowing crooks to rule our roost.

Thirsty for financial news (however bubbly) that doesn't suck?

US Stocks Rally, Capping 3-Month Advance for the S&P 500 by Rita Nazareth at Bloomberg News has all manner of fuzzy news concerning Friday's rally on Wall Street.

Seems the S&P 500 was friskin' around the floor Friday like a newborn philly, while the final half-hour of trading (the Bloomberg article cites the minutes from 3:30 pm to 4:03 pm edt (May 29, 2009, NYC) for the 'action time' and it is very refreshing to read a definite time for one who sets up Astrology charts - the final half-hour displayed a sparkle of positive activity and...gains were made.

In her article, Rita Nazareth makes no mention of this past Tuesday, May 27's Great Conjunction of Jupiter (money; expansion; largess; joviality) and Neptune (expansion through seepage; mergings; inspiration; undermining conditions; deception; fraud; lies) but why would she in a financial news article?

May 27 was the first of their three conjunctions, and most fortunately for you, you understand the inflationary implications of a new cycle of Jupiter/Neptune beginning now. The rest of 2009 is marked with a heady scent as their cozy tango in the glow of Neptune's candlelight haze will be completed in December. Yet their synergistic perfume will linger in the air into 2010, to be overcome off and on by other fragrances, some pleasant, some...well...stinky.

You see, the NYSE (May 17, 1792, 7:52 am lmt (not certain where the time came from but it's in use quite a bit - 'under the Buttonwood Tree' and all that, NYC) had its Pre-Natal Eclipse Series manifest once again on August 1, 2008 at '10 Leo' - the calamitous Beijing Olympics Eclipse, in fact, with horrific earthquake following, markets in turmoil (also affected by the Lunar Eclipse of August 16, 2008), and financial confidence generally dissipating into thin air.

The August 2008 Solar Eclipse falls in the 10 South Series: 'breaking out of a very negative situation where no hope can be seen to a space containing more options; a worry suddenly clears; a solution is shown by the cosmos and must be taken up without delay.' (Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

And off the top of my head I know three entities with natal Mercury at '10 Leo': George W. Bush, the Republican Party, and Alberto Gonzales. Perhaps the 2008 Capitol Hill Theater season performed during the presidential campaign, with its mummery of a 'financial crisis' or 'meltdown' made dramatic by their 'must rush back to Washington to save the entire banking system' schtick - were expressions of the above-described Eclipse influence.

And admittedly the 'meltdown' could have come from US-based opertives or from abroad bwo system hack attacks: transiting Uranus (electronics; technologies) crossing the NYSE's natal Midheaven of late (Mc = 23Pis21), from the 'foreign lands' 9th house into the 10th house of Career and Public Standing. Uranus in Pisces has a difficult time staying successfully hidden as Pisces prefers while being the planet of lightening, for cryin' out loud...aka The Awakener.

And you know that natally, NYSE has a Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Airy Libra, don't you? At 22Lib57 Rx and 27Lib42 Rx respectively; this is the degree area of two Fixed Stars of success: Arcturus and Spica. Jup/Nep's penchant for speculating is well-placed in NYSE's natal 4th house (Foundation.)

The recent Mercury retrograde period has affected NYSE's natal Mercury tremendously with n Mercury 23Tau50 Rx. Mercury's Rx condition gave three passes to natal Mercury resulting in a three-fer Mercury Return: April 23; May 25 Rx; and June 4, 2009.

Natal Sun is also in 8th house of Debt, Credit, Insurance, Shared Resources, etc at 27Tau12, and this Sun/Mercury degree area covers two nasty, hard to control Fixed Stars: Algol and Capulus.

So on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 3:30 pm edt when numbers began bouncing Up, Sun 8Gem33 was conjoined to transiting Midas, of gold-hoarding fame...and at the end of the 8th house just before the 9th cusp. Mercury 22Tau56 Rx was in 8th house as well, and at the degree '23Tau' of the Great Conjunction of the Societal Planets, Jupiter and Saturn (May 28, 2000 - a cycle that relates directly to markets)...'23Tau': 'A Jewelry Shop Filled with the Most Magnificent Gems.'

And Jup/Nep has a 20-year cycle so we're still in it - they're past the trine and are heading for opposition, a tug of war between Jupiter's expansion and Saturn's restriction.

This Mercurial triggering of 2000's Jup/Sat conjunction gives a midpoint picture to consider...plus, perhaps a meeting (Mercury) took place relating to the plans of May/June 2000 (Jup/Sat - which reminds us of the dot com bubble and a housing bubble inflating even then.)

Jupiter/Saturn = Mercury: a search for variety and change; studying hard, asking the right questions; the desire to make changes; a journey; a fortunate separation. (Buh bye, Mr. Bank of America man - resigning before the sheriff shows?)

Yes, if Wall Street gentry admitted they (or those in their employ) use Astrology as did old J.P. Morgan, some of their secrets might be apparent thus providing a little pre-warning for we-the-unwary. Or then we'd be wary, but that wouldn't sex up the high-stakes game enough for those who are accustomed to playing a rigged house where they always come out the ultimate winners.

Happy Cinqo de Mayo 2009!

Hoisting a Mexican beer, dancing to mariachi music, and reveling in the streets describes the usual celebration of Cinqo de Mayo, aka '5 de Mayo' or 'Cinco de Mayo' but you may wish to know more of why you're celebrating this fun, if highly commercialized, holiday.

UCLA has an informative site, as well as the holiday's Wiki page, and Viva Cinqo de Mayo! gives a more detailed history of the circumstances that led to the Battle of Puebla on the morning of May 5, 1862 when 8,000 French (English and Spanish) troops were routed by 4,000 Mexicans.

Quelle embarrassment! The French Army had not been bested in 50 years.

Plus, Napoleon III had figured the US was otherwise engaged with our own 'Civil' War and wouldn't be a problem. We were. But check out the history as linked above.

Yes, Mexico City was eventually overtaken and occupied with Emperor Napoleon III's installation of a Hapsburg prince to play the part of 'Emperor of Mexico' which went down very badly with the Mexican people as you may imagine.

And the whole mess had been sparked by Mexico's bankruptcy due to - you guessed it - the costs of fighting too many wars. My intuition says that fraud and corruption were involved as well.

Now what do you suppose the US can take from that lesson?

Astrology charts for the date that President Juarez suspended payments on foreign debts (July 17, 1861) shows rebellious, freedom-loving Uranus at 14Gem36; the morning chart on May 5, 1862 has Uranus rising at 7:27 am lmt, 14Gem34, so Cinqo de Mayo was the final conjunction of the Uranus Return to the 1861 chart. (The second and Rx conj was on Nov 29, 1861.)

The chart for May 5, 1862, the Battle of Puebla, also shows Uranus at apex in a midpoint picture involving Jupiter/Neptune, the 'grand spirit; speculation; wasteful' pair of planetary energies, so the original Cinqo de Mayo has this signature ('any, all, or none' may apply)...

Jupiter/Neptune = Uranus: sudden recognition of a difficult situation; reality vs imagination; coming down to earth with a bump; liking the shades; intuitionally innovative; charisma.
