Forget December 2012: earliest Mayan Calendar found!

Fabulous news! An older than dirt Mayan Calendar has been found in the deepest jungle and its moon cycles and other calculations do not support the hype over the alleged Mayan 'prophecy' of the end of the world occurring at Winter Solstice 2012, the Galactic Center Alignment we've all been waiting for. No seriously, we have.

And curiously (for astrologers!), one of the archaeologists involved in the amazing discovery (click link above for smashing photos) is William Saturno. How's that for being aptly named since Saturn rules rocks, stones, dirt, old relics, and the study of Archaeology itself? Wonder if he knows of this synchronicity...

My thanks for the article link to the excellent Crystal Pomeroy who writes a regular and meditative column for Daykeeper Journal, as you probably already know!

2012, Maya, and the Milky Way

A May Solar Eclipse, Winter Solstice 2012, and a Royal Star of Persia make 2012 eventful

by Jude Cowell

Probably the best info on Winter Solstice 2012 and the Mayan Long Count 'prediction' that's giving many people the heebie geebies these days may be found at Neptune Cafe along with reading suggestions for those who wish to know more.

Solar Eclipse May 20, 2012 conjunct Alcyone

Also noted, if you're of the 2012 Awareness mindset, is the Mercury-ruled May 20, 2012 Solar Eclipse @ 00Gem21 (amongst the stars of Pleiades and with links to the Middle East) which master astrologer Celeste Teal has entitled, "Property Agreements" in her book Eclipses: Predicting World Events & Personal Transformation.

Disruption of communications or of power grids are some of the possibilities along with strong winds (Gemini, an Air sign), storms, and other natural disasters.

Winter Solstice 2012 Aligns with Galactic Center

Now at some point I shall update my 2008 post concerning Winter Solstice 2012 (horoscope shown is set for Washington DC) but until then you may wish to view the chart which in DC match the cusps of America's Sibly natal chart (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA.) Naturally this makes it a breeze to see which US natal houses are affected by which actors (planets) at Winter Solstice 2012 as it aligns with Galactic Center (as the Mayans knew--visit Neptune Cafe for the scoop!)

Plus, the December 21, 2012 horoscope contains a YOD pattern ('Finger of God' which I believe should be credited to Erin Sullivan) with Jupiter in Airy Gemini at apex (details included.) Jupiter is actually transiting US natal Uranus 8Gem55, a time when We the People will have reason to become more aware of freedom and independence issues, group activities may be highlighted, and our personal networks expand (not another new social media site to join? Argghh!)

Other themes or interests during a Jupiter-to-natal-Uranus transit include one of my personal faves--Astrology--plus, fund-raising, finances, investment, technology and computers, and travel-related industries including space.

Growth and discovery (Science; Exploration) are in the spotlight and breakthroughs of all sorts may be experienced on both collective and personal levels. And of course '9 Gemini' fingers one of the Royal Stars of Persia, Aldebaran (Mars-Mercury-Jupiter) with keywords: warmongering, courage, military leadership, and danger from illness or violence. (Horary Plain & Simple, Anthony Louis.)

As you know, the last conjunction/s of Jupiter and Uranus occurred from 2010 into 2011 which makes it our current phase in their 14-year cycle:

1. June 8, 2010 @ 00Ari18 (Aries Point, a World Point & US natal IC 00:53);
2. Sept 19, 2010 @ 28Pis43;
3. Jan 4, 2011 @ 27Pis02.

You note that the late Pisces degrees have recently been traversed in its retrograde phase by speedy Mercury and will be so again...Jupiter/Uranus = Mercury: abundant thoughts; a fortunate turn (Ebertin.) The 2010/2011 time frame has many political implications which I have no time to detail for you now but a Search Bar is located in SO'W's sidebar if you wish to sleuth. However, my first thought is last week's SCOTUS arguments on 'Obamacare', the Affordable Health Care Act.

There was also a significant Bilderberg Meeting in June 2010 held in Barcelona, Spain and relating to the ongoing 'debt crisis' that's been trumped up by the global banking syndicate in an attempt to set up a world central bank of totalitarian proportions--a lousy idea, imho. During the conference, the Moon reached Aries Point conjoining Jupiter and Uranus, squared by wealthy Pluto 4Cap36 Rx (June 6, 2010 7:49:35 am CEDT Barcelona, Spain, with US natal Jupiter 5Can56 rising...'6Can' = "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests." And de-feathering ours.)

Well, in any case, May through December 2012 will finally 'tell the tale' and our long period of expectancy will soon end, if not the world as we know it. And I'm quite convinced you know of other articles, books, and websites of note concerning the thorny topics of 2012, Mayan prophecies, eclipses, and galactic alignments so feel free to leave them here in a Comment, if you wish!

Living On Earth features Mayan Calendar Prophecy Dec 2012

June 18, 2011: Today's Living On Earth addresses several important topics which include:

Congress blocking FDA approval for transgenic fish (if only US lawmakers would stand firm against all 'Frankenfood', right?), the life and legacy of creative (Neptune) scientist (Saturn) George Washington Carver, space weather and a brand new cycle of sunspot activity, climate change creating more intense weather, and the science of wildfires.

Then it's new FDA regulations on sunscreen products, Henry David Thoreau's lessons for living a 'deliberate life', and more.

Also featured on today's LOE is an interview concerning the Mayan Calendar and (alleged) prophecy about the world 'ending' on either December 21, 2012 or December 23, 2012. Will Earth and Planet X collide for Winter Solstice 2012? Or will Earth simply putter to a stop? (My basic view is that only God will end this incarnation of planet Earth. However, difficult days and Earth Shifts are ahead. You may disagree as you wish!)

LOE: "The Mayan Long Count Calendar is nearing the end of its 5,125 year cycle. New age prophecies, based on the ancient calendar, warn the world will end when the cycle concludes in December 2012."

If that's the case, then perhaps you'll want to read, listen, or download the rest of Predicting the End of the World for a more reasoned voice on the topic than is usually shared online. Even the mainstream media promotes the Mayan Calendar obsession which is certainly a good reason to stay cool about it given its high propaganda value to our current fearmongers.

Some say that rumors of a 2012 doomsday are being spread so that people can make money which sounds plausible to me considering opportunistic human nature!

Yet a transcript of PBS's April 2008 broadcast Cracking the Maya Code is available...is it becoming more timely by the minute?

Ancient Maya: Ace Mathematicians Who Studied the Celestial Sphere

Yes, they had the good sense to keep tabs on eclipses and other planetary activities. Then if you care for a little Astrology on the matter, try a previous post on Winter Solstice 2012 which shows the horoscope (set for the White House) and gives a few pertinent details including the 2012 Solstice's YOD pattern of crisis, crossroads, and/or a special task which points to planet Jupiter.

In the chart, you'll see that Jupiter Rx makes a transit to US natal Uranus 8Gem55, a time when freedom and independence issues come to the fore with results that are unpredictable especially in relation to finances, investment, fund-raising, travel, group activities, technology, and...Astrology.

Is the 2012 Doomsday--Mayan Prophecy a hoax?

Just thought I'd link to a site with a different point of view on the Mayan calendar, the December 21, 2010 Solstice, the '11:11 Phenomenon', and other topics and theories that people are promoting now, topics which are making some folks a lot of money in the marketplace.

So if you find yourself fretting overmuch about 2012 and what may or may not happen, you may wish to check out some alternate views on these fascinating subjects at 2012hoax.org.

Not having had time to read all the site's articles (I just found the website a few minutes ago and am passing it on to you at 2:03 am - must get some shut-eye soon) I can say that the part about the '11:11 Phenomenon' makes sense to me, it's just that back in the 1980s I too began seeing 11:11 each time, day or night, that I glanced at a clock, and elsewhere, too...and I was nowhere close to being interested in Astrology or esoteric subjects then since I'd given up my early interest in such things when I began studying to join my church in 1977 (year of Chiron's discovery - I know!)

But actually, end-of-time themes were brought to me then by a church that teaches quite a lot about them, but mostly teaches how to be ready to account for yourself and your past actions when the grand day cometh! I suspect that that requirement for survival is what is underneath so much of the current interest in and fears about the 2012 predictions going around the Internet...therefore, imho, the focus is off the mark.

Because as they say, it's not what you or anyone else thinks of you that matters, it's your true condition before God that really counts 'in the end'.

And that qualifies as a word to the wise!
