The current scandals and corruption of the US Supreme Court do no good for America or for the American people so as a partisan for the common good, I chuckle not over the Court's current circumstances which engender and promote We the People's lack of trust in our judicial institutions. For me this is a reminder that our loss of trust is one of the primary objectives of bad actors, aka, saboteurs, working behind the scenes in order to harm our country, and apparently certain justices are in cahoots and glad for the lucrative perks.

America's Saturn: Direct then Retrograde

Now as you know, America's legal eagle planet, Saturn, was in Libra in 1776, the sign of balance, the Scales of Justice, and of Saturn's exaltation - and the US has been crowing about it ever since. But hold on a minute, because US Saturn turned retrograde (Rx) by progression in January 1997 (exact date depending on which 1776 or other foundational chart you progress). This coordinates with interference with the US Judicial System through the ginned-up scandals of President Bill Clinton and the GOP's subsequent effort to impeach him which included the prurient involvement of Republicans who now long to monitor everyone's bedroom activities - and track ladies' menstrual cycles like a gang of perv*rts! (GOP: Grand Old Perv*rts?). So our traditional privacy rights be dam*ed, what few we have left to us.

In Libra, Saturn behaves reliably and with a strong sense of duty - and he still can since Progressions are merely symbolic. In Scorpio, Saturn suggests seriousness, obstinacy, and delving deeply into difficult problems - like spinning up a fishing expedition to investigate a president of the opposite party in a glorified attempt to end his popularity, his policies, and even his presidency if possible. But with the very popular Bill Clinton, the scaliwags failed. Still, much damage was done to the system, and committing perjury had to become their main issue in order to save face.

So below is a bi-wheel showing the first moment that US Saturn paused to turn Rx by progression (inner) surrounded by a transit chart set for the same date, hour, and location. As you see, by 1997 US Saturn had progressed forward into Scorpio as far as 3Sco24 before stationing - conjunct US Progressed Hades (3:33), also Rx. This to me suggests breaking down (Hades) authority (Saturn) of the presidency, and shows connections to the Criminal Underworld. Also significant are Saturn-SN-IC, Pluto-SN, and transit Pluto conjunct MC, a prominent indicator of power plays, plus, a crisis over power and its abuse; my astro-notes are penned on for the curious reader:

Now you know of the GOP's recent and threatened actions via their tyrannical Project 2025 agenda with Election 2024 coming soon, yes? Extremist Republicans have our "rule of law" society and our traditional checks'n'balances holding on for dear life - with the November 5, 2024 Election looming large and American Democracy on the ballot in their years-long manufactured existential crisis that we've heard for years was coming to America. Now barbarian seditionists are having their shining moment and must be beaten back at the ballot box in November.

SCOTUS Faced a Saturnian Test in 2020

Meanwhile, as a practice run of sorts, in 2020, karmic Saturn arrived to announce critical conditions at the Supreme Court which we discussed here (horoscope shown), and obviously, the transit occurred during the Tr*mp regime, as we know. Plus, 2020 was The Year of Covid: illness, death, losses, separations, inflation, shortages, and more. It was kind of a re-set of society, don't you think?

Virgo Full Moon 2024 and a Shutdown?

There are two "tranches" of unfunding of the US government which can lead to yet another Republican government shutdown. Refusing to fund what our government needs in order to pay bills that are already wracked up, March 1, 2024 is the first "tranch" and March 8th is the second. Meanwhile, you see below a DC Horoscope of the February 24, 2024 Full Moon @5Vir23 which is the Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior to the March 1st "tranch" and potential shutdown) with its Sabian Symbol keyword (6Virgo): DIVERSION (M.E.Jones).

As you see, the big-developer-speculator-banker pair of Jupiter and Pluto meet upon the Ascendant of the Full Moon chart which spotlights those who seek power (including both politicians and religious figures). Now in previous posts, I have related the Jupiter-Pluto duo to the Federal Reserve System of Big Bankers, for understandable reasons, but that little factoid is beyond the scope of this Full Moon post:

Well, perhaps you remember that America was put through a Debt Crisis by Republicans back in May 2023 with a semblance of a 'YOD' pattern of 'crisis' and 'turning point' shown in the horoscope.

And I've always felt that this "shutdown" form of political theater, begun by Newt Gingrich against Bill Clinton, is actually the Republican Party acting out under orders from both foreign and domestic enemies of democracy. But their shutdown antics do more than disrupt their political opponents - they're getting the American people accustomed to a collapsed US government by pretending that democratic government just doesn't work anymore and can't handle the massive problems of today (problems caused by the GOP). It's the Hegelian Dialectic: cause the problem, decry it, then "solve" the problem the way you intended to all along.

What's even more tragic beyond belief is that the current crop of gaslit Republican voters are going along with 'the script' as if they and their families will somehow profit by such sabotage! Emotionalism reigns over facts, while logic is discouraged, and this is what all that "woke" nonsense was about.

So I'll end this fussy post by pointing out that a cosmic time link exists between 2024 and 2020 so that 2020 events and conditions must be revisited and will hopefully be dealt with once and for all by folks who appreciate the benefits of living in a democratic Republic with the freedom to reach for better conditions and progress rather than falling back into a twisted and brutal past.

SCOTUS decisions: Law and Domination

When the Supreme Court decided Marbury v. Madison on February 24, 1803 in favor of William Marbury, the legislative branch of government that we now call 'SCOTUS' (Supreme Court of the United States) flexed its muscles and established itself as being above the US Congress as the final judge of constitutionality with the power to overturn acts of Congress. The decision defined the constitutionality of the Judiciary Act of 1789 and, as the dual horoscopes show, reveal an "urge to impose one's will on others" (Sun = Pluto-NN). Intellectual domination is their thing along with "taking over leadership" (Moon-Mars = Ascendant) via Marbury v Madison.

In addition, there are other interesting planetary factors in the two horoscopes, below. Saturn: Planet of Law, Government, and Karma

Now back in a very busy 2020, we discussed how the June 13, 2020 Mars-Neptune Conjunction landed directly upon the SCOTUS 1st session's Saturn, planet of law, authority, structures, systems, control, lessons, tasks, management, consolidation, and karma. Shown is the 1st session's horoscope of February 1, 1790 with Saturn @20Pis55. So knowing that transit Saturn is now in Pisces, we see that the SCOTUS 1790 Saturn will experience a Saturn Return in early 2025. More about this in a future post.

We also see that nebulous Neptune by transit, the watery planet of erosion, dissolution, deception, inspiration, mysticism, visions, fraud, and disappointment, has spread itself all over the SCOTUS Saturn in Pisces as recently as late 2021, which indicates several possibilities such as disintegrating traditions and/or structures, authority figures (ex: justices) who are not as honest as they should be, the promotion of high ideals and ethics, or strange or misguided notions.

Now you know that we've seen many of these potentials express via "conservative" justices like Thomas and Alito who, as members of a group of Roman Catholic justices, are having a grand old time legislating from the bench. Of course, this is exactly what the Supreme Court is not meant to do but Marbury v Madison seemingly puffed up the entity's self-image to overblown ego status.

Anyway, if you're like me, when SCOTUS repealed Roe in 2022, my first thought was that the Vatican had finally had its anti-abortion way in the US despite what the majority of Americans prefer (never mind us, we just live here). If you wish, check out the Roe v Wade Overturned Horoscope (June 24, 2022) with the repeal's North Node of destiny @21Taurus--conjunct the North Node in the Vatican City State 1929 Horoscope. Seems mighty clear to me: the repeal of Roe was timed by the Vatican City's Nodal Return. A coincidence? Not to me it isn't, considering the church's long-held stance on abortion.

Plus, there's another cosmic time link in play around these issues: radical Uranus, planet of disruption, chaos, separation, and zealotry, hit the very same 21 Taurus degree on June 30, 2023, the day the most recent SCOTUS decisions were "handed down" from on-high.

So let's close this fussy post with a few potentials of the Uranus/North-Node duo quoting from Munkasey's Hegelian Dialectic form of analysis (any, all, or none may apply especially with erratic Uranus involved):

Thesis: The changes which accompany new efforts to alter the direction of events; alliances which follow revolution or unexpected changes in leadership; help from others who assist with modernization activities.

Antithesis: Revolution for the effecting of popular changes; business changes which evolve with society; treaties for modernizing facilities which benefit another more; a society that does not appreciate modernizing (sounds like regressive Republicans, so-called "conservatives," and radical magas).

Well, we may disagree on this, but in the US "conservative" justices on the SCOTUS bench have 'altered the direction of events', all right, with the hierarchy of the Vatican pulling strings from "on-high." After all, one of the many roles powerful Pluto can play is "the pope."

Karmic Saturn in Karmic Pisces until 2026

Before the Collective reaches the February 2026 Saturn-Neptune Conjunction at Aries Point, a major energy shift for both planets, we face a few years ahead in which we must deal with Saturn's transit through Pisces, the murky sign of The Two Fishes which I consider to be ruled by Jupiter and co-ruled from a higher plane by Neptune.

For as you know, in the symbolism of Pisces, the 12th sign of the Zodiac, one fish swims up, the other down so obviously, a lot rides on how conditions and circumstances are handled as karmic Saturn hands out his lessons and makes his demands for accountability while The Timekeeper wades through the waters and the mud of confusing, often secretive Pisces. Even so, no one needs Astrology to realize that our society is facing multiple positive vs negative issues, and either-or conditions.

Meanwhile, my hopes for America are focused on the fish swimming upwards, how about yours?

Now a couple of months ago here on SO'W, we discussed how transit Saturn entering Pisces on March 12, 2023 had come upon America's 12 South Solar Eclipse of February 1776 at "1 Pisces," the "Public Market" degree of COMMERCE. And as I type, we're hoping that Congress will resolve the "debt ceiling" crisis before June 1st, and obviously a credit default would be the ruination of the US economy, markets, commerce, household budgets--and would put America's credit rating in jeopardy along with the global economy. It's a major gamble set up by the Republican Party and I, for one, am not amused.

So! Here's an excerpt from that particular Saturn-to-12-South post linked, above, concerning the planet of austerity, karma, and loss taking down names while traversing the secretive sign of the two fishes, a transit that promises to be a reality meets fantasy affair!

Saturn in Pisces indicates a period of time when ambition, consolidation, reserve, restraint, restriction, limits, and legal conditions are prominent, and there are potentials for realism brought to flights of fancy, or, in similar fashion to a Saturn-to-Neptune transit, the grim face of reality is visited upon those who neglect Saturn's demands for concentration and upright behavior. Past mistakes are on the table and corrections must be made.

Additionally, sustained hard work is necessary during this period along with struggles with opponents (2024 campaign, etc) as sober Saturn travels through tipsy Pisces; our social safety net programs continue to be a point of contention along with the debt ceiling limit and possible default by the US government, crisis situations made worse by political trickery (which Saturn will not abide).

Oh, and the negative expression for "1 Pisces" may just apply to the debt limit tug-of-war between Ds and Rs: see what you think:

"Complete insensibility to any over-all welfare" (M. E. Jones).

And Dane Rudhyar adds a hopeful Keynote: "The process of commingling and interchange which at all levels demonstrates the health of a community."

The health of a community! Imagine that! Well, pardon me, but one political party is all about such things while the other--well, you know who they are and which social safety net programs they're finagling to destroy. So I'll simply close with, Vote Blue in 2024 as if our democratic Republic depends on it. Because it really does.

Now this Saturn-Neptune infused post can't end without mentioning that transit Saturn in Pisces will oppose US 1776 Neptune (22Vir25), but only once on March 14, 2025 and realistic Saturn will simultaneously square US 1776 Mars. In other words, America's problematic Mars-Neptune square of fogginess will be activated with "misdirected energy" implications. Hidden agendas will continue to paralyze activities wherever possible during this transit, and attempts to uncover facts will remain high on our investigative to-do list; paranoia and fear remain negative conditions for some as what we hope will be a new presidency is just getting starting. Or trying to.

Add to these Neptunian potentials the Saturn square US Mars energies so we may expect delays and cancellations which anger or enrage people along with resentment from, or because of, tiresome malcontents who don't know or have forgotten how to play with others.

The Pentagon, an Eclipse, and Capricorn

Karmic Saturn: Planet of Authority and Accountability

While combing through SO'W this morning looking for a different topic than what I found, a post displaying the Pentagon's 1942 horoscope surrounded by the 12 North Solar Eclipse Horoscope of January 15, 2010, turned out to be interesting, even useful to today's news events. Not just because this week's public discourse includes the query: were Pentagon officials involved in or complicit with Trump's January 6, 2021 coup attempt against the US government?

See USA Today's Pentagon 'wiped' phones of top Defense officials despite request for Jan 6 texts and emails. Sounds like more seditionists are trying to hide their tracks. It's a thing.

But the post is interesting also because the 12 North Eclipse of 2010 occurred @25Cap01 within the sensitized degree zone of governmental Capricorn which has seen karmic planets Saturn and Pluto working it over pretty good by transit of late. And as you know, the two planets even met on January 12, 2020 @22Cap46 to begin a new 33-year cycle of their harsh, compressive energies. Plus, the later degrees of the Cancer-Capricorn axis can have a tendency to treat people as objects (if such influences are unmitigated by other factors), and this is besides the sign's obvious implications in the realms of government, law, and business - some positive, some negative.

Then there's the handy switcheroo manipulated under the FDR administration when US Inaugurations were shifted from the first week in March, to the 20th of January (or other, when the 20th falls on Sunday), effective as of 1937, the change which placed Saturn-ruled Capricorn at Midheaven, the Goal Point of our inaugural charts and presidencies. Of course, included is US 1776 Pluto, and this signals the authoritarian democracy vs fascism dictatorship issues coming to a head in 2022 with America's first-ever Pluto Return, exact three times this very year beginning in February.

Meanwhile, our opportunity to vote in the 2022 Midterms comes in November when we'll attempt to choose what kind of government we want despite thugs and ruffians of a Trumpian persuasion, and the massive, nationwide cheating and rigging campaign that the GOP must perpetrate in order to shove through their anti-societal candidates.

Now commentators have identified the year 2009 as the beginning of anti-government racist organizations such as militia groups and the 'tea party', activated by the 2009 Inauguration of Barack Obama whose natal Saturn in Capricorn wasn't despotic enough for them, nor was he Caucasian enough.

Zelenskyy to US Congress: Midpoint Pix

As you know, and perhaps watched, this morning at 9:00 am edt (began @9:06 am edt), Ukraine's President Zelenskyy virtually addressed the US Congress and the Ameircan people from an undisclosed location in Kiev, Ukraine. He mentioned, as previously reported, that Ukraine will not be joining NATO but asked that a no-fly zone over Ukraine be established (President Biden says, no, this would mean all-out war between Russia and the US), and for more weapnonry and aide. More military and humanitarian aide he is and will be receiving, and President Biden will speak shortly before noon today, last I heard.

Now today my real life environment is busy but I felt compelled to prepare a page displaying the midpoint pictures and a few astro-notes for you of 9:06 am edt and 9:23 am edt on Capitol Hill, Washington DC. Hopefully, you will be able to read them, below. If not, please enlarge the image or print it.

A stand-out is a midpoint picture with Neptune, planet of the masses and of mass media, which veils the incendiary Mars-Uranus midpoint and suggests potentials for "pushing for change" (M. Munkasey), and "people with bad intentions; overtaxed strength" (R. Ebertin). Sounds correct to me.

Another midpoint picture listed on the chart (apex Jupiter highlighted in green) is Mercury-Neptune = Jupiter: 'harboring great hopes; an actor or poet' (Ebertin). Perhaps we can agree that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the speaker, is playing the role of thespian Jupiter on such a level. Meanwhile, planet of oration and negotiation, Mercury @10Pis33/37, remains in the 11th house and happily, Mercury is Direct - as is the money bags planet of politicians, corporatists, and broadcasters, generous Jupiter in compassionate Pisces. Thus we see the outpouring of aide and support for the Ukrainain people.

Now as you see, while President Zelenskyy spoke, radical Uranus, planet of war, revolt, and upheaval, arose as the Ascendant morphed from 7Tau35 to 13Tau37, and to me this suggests the Mars-Uranus Conjunction @6Tau44 on US Inauguration Day 2021. Conjunct US Inauguration Ascendant (@14Taurus = Oath of Office), unpredictable, upsetting, inflammatory, and/or unusual or erratic events are and have been the case for the Biden presidency. And with starry Menkar rising, we find that all presidents are expected to 'say what needs to be said'. And yet with Uranus rising, there's a potential for great coping ability!

As for House changes, there are two: Sun in Pisces moved from the hidden 12th house to the 11th house of Groups and Wishes, and Saturn - conjunct Nemesis - moved from 11th house to the more visible 10th house of Public Status and the World Stage. At this moment, I'll venture no speculation on what this entails.

But I will add that the rising position of Uranus in Taurus opposes what is generally considered to be the natal Venus in Scorpio of Mr. Putin and this transit at least partially describes the unexpected reactions and criticisms Putin garnered for his cruel invasion of Ukraine. This transit marks a period when agreements made are broken, and joint ventures are subject to change and separation. Vlad thought a take-over would be easy but the Ukrainian people proved him wrong!

Today just a quick look ahead at the Autumn Equinox 2022 Horoscope of September 22, 2022 with Venus in Virgo in her role as chart-ruler - conjunct US 1776 Neptune and reminding us of the ongoing Neptune-oppo-US-Neptune transit (clashing ideals; persecution), and conjunct fixed star Denebola ('to go against society; against the mainstream'). A few notes are penned on the chart for the curious but with events and upsets occurring thick and fast these days, it's too soon to make very much of the planets' activities six months from now. But for you I'll try.

Autumn Equinox 2022 in DC: General Indications

Morals and ethics are in the Venusian spotlight, shabby wealth is suggested when US Neptune is added to Venus-Neptune, and Venus opposing Neptune indicates illuions-delusions, spreading vicious gossip, shameless exploitation, and/or empty diplomacy. Yet Venus in Virgo is intercepted in 5th house (Placidus House System; opposite, Pisces and Neptune are intercepted in 11th house along with the Syzygy Full Moon @17Pis41) so for those who use them, this suggests karmic conditions that must be dealt with such as problems which have been passed down from previous actors, and possibly festering. Of course, currency devaluation may be one of those problems with petro-dollar issues in question. And don't look now, but hiding under a Neptunian veil is Nemesis Rx @23Pis26, the position of the April 12, 2022 Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction, the speculation, inflation, and grand spirit pair. There are spies lurking in America's financial branches, cyber and otherwise, while corporations raise prices because they can.

Then, Venus trining Pluto denotes those who can read body language and use it to their advantage, plus, the possibility of turning the tables on the past; major financial matters are also suggested by the Venus-Pluto duo (exs: 'private wealth in hidden places' along with 'attracting elements of organized crime' - Munkasey; additionally, the planetary duo may also link to bankruptcy).

We should note that the Leo Moon is unaspected (detached, estranged) yet Luna reflects her waning light upon two asteroids Ceres ('democacy'; security; oil and gas production; family; motherhood, nuturance) and Kassandra (a prophetess no one believes). Sadly, separated parents and children may be implied here, along with a continuation of the potentials for fluctuating food shortages and empty shelves. The world is ill on multiple levels.

Meanwhile, the Sun @00Lib00:00 conjoins Mercury Rx in the Sun's natural 5th house of Children, Speculation, and Creative Pursuits, and 2nd hou$e Mars @17Gem04 conjoins Herr T's natal 10th house Uranus, his guiding planet of chaos, rebellion, and disruption (obviously here, money is involved). Then as you see, radical Uranus Rx @18Tau34 rises with the North Node (@14Tau17 - conjunct Menkar and US Inauguration Ascendant) suggesting focuses on saying what needs to be said, plus, changing the world, new contacts, and a need for feedback.

Powerful, subversive Pluto Rx @26Cap10 has crossed Midheaven (in DC - also conjuncts US Inauguration MC) while leading a ruthlessly determined executive focused on success pattern, a Locomotive shape of planets; Autumn 2022 begins during a Balsamic phase of the Moon, a dark phase when things go bump in the night, and forecasters like Kassandra make their predictions. Or read their scripts.

Then there's 10th house Saturn Rx @19AQ19 conjunct the generally accepted position of Herr Putin's natal North Node suggesting isolation and teamwork becoming more difficult as time goes on. Also karmic Saturn rises with Alpheratz, a cosmic combo that reduces the star's usual gifts of independence, freedom, honors, and riches, and hints at darker potentials such miserliness, decreasing popularity, and fatal tumors.

February 2022 Invasion Echoes Poland 1939

Recently, comparisons have been made by talking heads between Herr Hitler's brutal invasion, bombing, and take-over of Poland from September 1, 1939 to October 6, 1939, his 'September Campaign', and the February 24, 2022 invasion and bombing of Ukraine by Russian 'president' Vladimir Putin, a man with dreams of global dictatorship - just as Hitler had.

So naturally, worries about a world war starting are now on steroids thanks to Putin's power-grab of Ukraine and his nuclear threats, for as you know, Hitler's action against Poland sparked World War II. And synchronistically, the take-over of Poland and WWII (September 1, 1939 Danzig, Poland) both fall under the influences of the same Solar Eclipse, the 13 South Eclipse of April 19, 1939 @28Ari43 which is displayed, below, with astro-notes penned on including the fact that the Eclipse hit very near Herr Hitler's natal Sun (00Taurus), his 'trigger point of violence', and death-dealer Pluto at a critical-crisis 29th degree of Capricorn (conjunct America's current progressed position of Pluto) squares the Solar Eclipse indicating ruthless behavior, torture, and other criminal offences.

Meanwhile, karmic Saturn @22Aries separates from the Eclipse (6S42) and denotes those with the responsibility to carry out 13 South's themes which are penned at the top of the horoscope, and include sinister energy and an urge to expand as they 'strive toward group endeavors' (B. Brady). Of course, these two planets aspecting the 1939 Eclipse make up the evil pair of Saturn-Pluto which had last met in Conjunction three times from October 1914 to May 19, 1915 (@00Cancer, a Cardinal World Point of Manifestation: World War - not so now). Yet there are Saturn and Pluto again at the Foundation of this Eclipse chart conjunct the IC (22Cap30) which weirdly enough, conjuncts the January 12, 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction which happened to hit the natal Vertex ('VX') of Herr Trump with its 'fated encounters' implications. Now these, plus, other cosmic synchronicities are listed, below, and are not comforting, I know, but there it is.

One recent event notated on the horoscope is the 1939 Eclipse's 7th house Vertex of fated encounters @6Tau44 pointing directly at the US Inauguration Day 2021 Mars-Uranus Conjunction - also @6Tau44 (!). Either Universal synchronicity is full of irony, or someone devious plans ahead using astrological principles and placements as timing devices for their activities in the here and now, inspired by, or in tribute to, similar brutalities perpetrated by a long-gone dictator following the voices in his head (as do Putin and Trump). Now I know that many folks realize the similarities without the aid of Astrology, even without seeing white "supremacists" marching on TV and in streets with tiki torches burning as they yell hateful slogans - a global movement toward strong-armed authoritarianism. The recent banning and burning of books is a major clue as well - oh, and add the Moon's position (29Aries) during the Mars-Uranus Conjunction of 2021 for Luna conjoined the 13 South Solar Eclipse degree of 1939, a cosmic picture of completion and/or fulfillment of some sort. Apparently, current-day neo-nazis are simply preening with pride at how hateful, racist, and brutal they are.

Of course, basic factors that all solar eclipses in Mars-ruled Aries indicate are potentials for militancy, belligerence, boldness, and leadership, but when the energies are negatively expressed, these turn to arrogance, aggression, self-willedness, and a headstrong attitude that bodes ill for other people. In fact, the foolhardiness implied tends to cause more problems than it solves. Add to this Eclipse-ruler Mars in Capricorn ('the warrior') leading the planets in a Locomotive shape and we see an indication of a 'ruthlessness executive determined to achieve success at any cost' (whether in Poland or in Ukraine). The Eclipse falling in the 7th house in Danzig denotes pacts and karmic alliances or partnerships.

The Democratic Party and the Summit for Democracy

On October 14, 2014 I published the 1801 Democratic Party Horoscope for "future reference" (sans details; data based on the Papers of Thomas Jefferson). On the image I penned its Sun-Moon blend, "Sun AQ-Moon Aries = 'self + society" which to me suggests the less selfish focus of most if not all Democrats as opposed to the greedy, self-serving GOP. Yet as you know, there are multiple versions of horoscopes online for the Democratic Party and one that expert astrologer Jessica Adams has written about is the January 8, 1828 Portsmouth, New Hampshire chart which is, she writes, the time "the Democrats were born." Why, there's even a Democratic Party Horoscope set for 1792!

Then in similar fashion, Horoscopes for Republican Party's founding are at least as varied and thus, confusing, although the chart for March 20, 1854 6:30 pm LMT, Ripon, WI is a favorite of many with Sun conjunct Aries Point and Moon in Sagittarius. Well, perhaps Sacred Geometry being "a thing" during America's founding era as an esoteric part of Freemasonry, the confusion over which founding horoscopes for either political party are correct could be purposeful. Meanwhile, erstwhile astrologers with political leanings trudge onward.

With the Biden Agenda is a Democratic Saturn in Play?

So basically, this pre-weekend post includes a reminder that, at least for those who use the February 17, 1801 Democratic Party Horoscope, the "The Tower Eclipse" of 2018 with its 'collapse and rebuild' themes eclipsed the natal Saturn of the Democratic Party. And now in 2021 we have President Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda and legislation which seems to me necessary results of the cosmic and earthly energies that We The People are now mired within (like kittens in string!) and, like the mythical phoenix, must rise from. So my thought is that perhaps the eclipse of the Democrats' 1801 Saturn, planet of government, authority, austerity, responsibility, authenticity, consolidation, and laws, marked the required rebuilding as being a task for a Democratic president to manage, particularly since Republicans always overspend like drunken sailors when in control of government resources, then leave the messes they create for the next Democrat in the White House to repair. And of course, considering President Biden's advanced age, he's in the Saturnian phase of life of the senex, or, the old man) - and wisdom and experience are both favored words of old man Saturn.

But Astrological Saturn Also Stands for Obstacles and Delays

Meanwhile, wealthy plutocrats and their political handmaidens on-the-take (whether Rs or Ds) constantly gaslight the American people via A Flag That Turns Into an Eagle That Crows" with faked patriotism and a sinister brand of nationalism if the 'economic royalists' deign to show any patriotism at all - and if democracy's nemesis, Rupert Murdoch, allows it.

Yet despite all this, one of my fondest hopes for my country as 2021 draws to a close is that President Biden's global Summit for Democracy, in progress as I type (Dec 9 and 10, 2021), will become a major part of our national renewal as it highlights corrective solutions to the current Democracy vs Fascism/NeoNazism stalemate especially since difficult Solar Eclipses from 1932 and 1933 will soon repeat in 2022 and 2023. The purpose of the Summit is billed as, "to set forth an affirmative agenda for democratic renewal." To the ears of this Child of the Revolution, it sounds excellent!

And we should note that word is, the uninvited Russia and China are most unhappy that the Summit is being held at all. In fact, China has already caused trouble by somehow forcing Pakistan not to attend!

DC Horoscope JFK Inauguration 1961: a Look Back

If you're curious, check out this Historic Footage: JFK Inauguration 1961 (7m23s). And below is the 1961 Inauguration Horoscope with John F. Kennedy's natal chart outside it (contacts between the planets are circled--1917 vs 1961). As usual, my messy notes are scribbled upon the charts and there are five primary contacts of note from the Inauguration 1961 chart to his natal planets--two are notable since they involve powerful Pluto but JFK's natal Saturn and Uranus are also activated by transit, plus, other transits and progressions occur as well, both positive and negative but these five are the ones that 'pop out' at me in this inaugural horoscope although you'll spy others, I'm certain, especially if you look at *future transits to the 1961 Inauguration Horoscope:

1. 1961 Pluto square natal Sun denotes potentials for a need to overcome those with more power and influence; loss-of-power issues; threats received; integrity challenged; benefits are gained but with much frustration and possible setbacks; determination is tested; achievement of ambitions may be delayed or transformed; willpower may be paralyzed temporarily.

2. 1961 Mars Rx conjunct natal Pluto indicates a period when karma comes into play as energies are intense, purposeful, and require patience and direct channeling for best results; male relationships are prominent and one male in particular (brother Bobbie, one assumes--see Mercury @10AQ03 in 10th house with the presidential Sun) may be a guiding or a driving force; negative conditions can involve provocation, blow-ups, jealousy, and/or revenge, plus, investing assets and deep research are on the menu.

3. 1961 Uranus Rx in Leo opposes natal Uranus at station in Aquarius three times from September 1960 through July 1961--this is the "mid-life crisis" transit of disruption when one may behave uncharacteristically and generational clashes occur with 'no meeting of the minds'; however, well-handled changes are beneficial and are not too disruptive, with moving forward the objective;

4. 1961 Saturn @21Cap54 opposes natal Saturn three times from March 1961 through December 1961 indicating a harvesting time when rewards may be reaped if hard work has been done in the past and responsibilities have been met; past mistakes, if any, need correcting, and legalities may temporarily get in the way of progress.

5. 1961 Venus square natal Venus suggests potentials for imperfect timing; wrong or unpleasant settings or environments; something amiss but not entirely useless; values are blocked in some way or are not quite appropriate; or, things don't work out as they should but they'll 'have to do'.

Note that both the Prenatal Solar Eclipse Saros Series ('PE') for 1961 and for JFK's birth and their themes are listed on the chart, lower left (1961) and lower right (1917). And if you're looking for any hints of the tragedy to come, may I suggest the usual suspects--Mars (to natal Pluto), Saturn (conjunct 1961 IC of Endings), Uranus (oppo natal Uranus, a time of instability and perhaps unusual characters in the environment--plus, 1961 Uranus is apex in a YOD crisis pattern suggesting Jack Kennedy's 'special task' of moving our nation toward a new direction which quite a few folks took great exception to); then there's hidden hand Pluto blocking his natal Sun (goals) while Venus, possibly scorned, adds her hints of jealousy and revenge.

In addition, we must include masking, deceptive, shady Neptune--both 1961 Neptune in intense Scorpio (angular and conjunct natal Eros, the piercing) and JFK's 1917 Neptune in Leo opposing his PE in the 9 New North Series.

*Two transits I'll mention here between the 1961 Inauguration Horoscope and the JFK Assassination Horoscope of November 22, 1963: in progress was a Nodal Half-Return across the Cancer-Capricorn security axis (see my scribble in the center of the bi-wheel concerning Sun-Saturn = MC) suggesting broken relationships, and transit Uranus which had met and crossed the 1961 Pluto-North-Node conjunction (the "tiger by the tail" duo) and thereby formed a midpoint picture of: "big upsets within the community; and, emotional suffering through separation" (Ebertin). Yes. That.

June 10, 2019 John Dean Invited to Capitol Hill

In case John Dean of WaterGate fame accepts Jerrold Nadler's invitation to speak on June 10th to the House Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill, below is Mr. Dean's natal horoscope with June 10th transits set for 9:00 am edt snugged around it--not because the hearing will open at that hour (probably closer to 9:30 or 10:00 am) but because 9:00 am happens to be the time that Dean's natal Pluto @1Leo26 rises over the Capitol Building.

In other words, I'm using the June 10th horoscope as a symbolic chart of the power (Pluto) Mr. Dean may wield through providing information which could very well have a (plutonian) transformative effect on current rather stalled conditions.

Now with the event's occurrence and timing being iffy as such Washington events tend to be I won't spend much time typing about it here, plus, quite a few basic chart notes are penned messily on the bi-wheel charts if you care to look. However, note that Dean's Venus @00Sag32 conjoins his natal Midheaven (The Goal) and rules his 3rd house of Communications via Taurus--and June 10th Venus @1Gem47 opposes his natal Venus (see lower right, highlighted in blue) which triggers opposing views and conflicts within relationships. Dean's natal Saturn, planet of authority, accountability, responsibility, law, and government conjuncts the 9:00 am Midheaven as he dutifully shares his opinions with the world (MC). This could be refreshing, who knows? For one thing, Dean will be highly motivated (transit Pluto trine natal Mars) as he expresses his diplomatic views blended with self-interest (transit Venus conjunct natal IC, the Foundation of the Matter). However, with the Moon in critical Virgo reflecting Dean's natal Mars-Neptune conjunction (8th house), images of crooks, treachery, and/or scandal may turn up in the news (Moon = the public; publicity) concerning this hearing or possible accusations of such may be hurled at Dean himself.

Now by transit on June 10th, most of us are dealing on some level with the Sun-Jupiter opposition squaring deceptive Neptune in Pisces (in John Dean's 1st house of Self) which suggests general potentials for loss, sensitivity, and the crooks we hear and read about each day (one ex: Nixon).

Plus, transit Mars conjunct North Node is lining up to oppose the difficult Saturn-Pluto conjunction (exact @22Cap46 on January 12, 2020--conjunct Trump's natal Vertex of fated encounters) which hints at the harshness, ruthlessness, and brutality now prevalent in society--and that someone is fighting for his very existence. I leave it to you, dear reader, to decide who that could possibly be as DC Democrats continue their careful attempts, slow as they seem, to hold a not-above-the-law president accountable for his actions.

Don McGahn Testifies May 21, 2019 (+ his Natal Planets)

It is being reported that former White House Counsel Don McGahn will testify before Congress on May 21, 2019. Donald Francis McGahn was born June 16, 1968 and grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey so his natal planets based on 'noon' of his birth date are placed around the 10:00 am edt horoscope, below, set for May 21, 2019 Capitol Building according to the subpoena issued by House Judiciary Committe Chairman Jerrold Nadler; please enlarge the image for better reading of chart notes if you wish; note that many of Trump's natal planets are penned around the chart with Trump's natal Uranus-NN-Sun trio missing for lack of space; both McGahn and Trump are Sun Geminis and McGahn's natal Sun @25Gem32 conjoins the 12th cusp of the 10:00 am edt testimony chart.

And as you see, Luna is chart-ruler and there's an applying Moon-Mars opposition (Mars "4Cancer" = "A Cat Arguing with a Mouse"..JUSTIFICATION--Jones) which denotes testy emotions and quarrels (plus, an angry public?), yet Trump's natal Sagittarian Moon (conjunct his SN) is again being transited by jolly Jupiter Rx indicating a period of happiness which Trump has recently avowed himself to be feeling (has an offer been made for his retirement?).

Yet Jupiter with South Node suggests this is also a period when ethics conflict with societal standards, endeavors may be blocked, and there are problems in relation to foreign lands. Loss (SN) of money (Jupiter) may also be in the picture along with Trump's diminishing popularity. More 'positively', broadcasting Jupiter in his role as politician will tend to repeat words he's mouthed in the past (SN) although, as you know, Mr. Trump repeats himself all the time--at his rallies and elsewhere. (It must be really annoying to be around grandpa telling the same story he told ten minutes before.)

Now one interesting planetary aspect between Trump and Don McGahn, a "real lawyer", is that their natal Saturns square one another (Aries/Cancer) which suggests conflicting values and disagreements (penned on the chart, upper), and in Astrology Saturn is legal planet of the law and government. There are other aspects between them, of course, but since my blogging time is brief today, I'll leave them for you to ferret out if you're curious!

Funny how Mercury-ruled Gemini is the sign of records and note-taking--Gemini McGahn takes them and Gemini Trump disparages them due to the record of his words and deeds they keep for future reference.

Midpoints of the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction December 2020

DC Horoscope: Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction December 21, 2020 @00AQ29 (conjunct US POTUS Sun) 1:20 pm est White House Washington DC:

Midpoint Potentials for societal planets Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn (restriction) when their energies combine approximately every 20 years - in Politics or Business (Michael Munkasey) = checks and balances; changes in governmental, religious, or social orders; repression based on morality instituted by law or religion; a judicial system at its breaking point; leniency and harshness vie for balance within the overall social and economic systems.

To Jupiter-Saturn Reinhold Ebertin adds: government officials, politicians, law professors, clergymen, civil servants of the administration.

To Jupiter-Saturn Noel Tyl adds: Law and order, ambition given the go-ahead signal; patience pays off, feeling righter than right; dogmatic; control tempers zeal; opportunities are carefully evaluated; success takes on long-term security; one has "made it happen"; strategy.

Midpoint Picture: Jupiter-Saturn = (POTUS) Sun: (my bold and italics)

Boasting a lot; dreaming of a potential for actuality; feeling you can positively influence social change; an increase in self-pride and ability to demonstrate positive leadership before others (Munkasey); inconstancy; moodiness (via liver disturbances); happy in solitude; change of residence; gaining experience (Ebertin); taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan; or, if nothing has been prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things (Tyl).

Any, all, or none of these midpoint potentials may apply or express no matter who sits in the Oval Office playing the role of President of the United States in 2020 and beyond, and any of the midpoints can be activated by transits, progressions, lunations (New and Full Moons) and solar and lunar eclipses.

That the Great Conjunction of heavyweights Jupiter and Saturn occurs at Winter Solstice 2020 makes it more influential and of global significance. Especially since they are considered the 'flywheel of the Universe" (yin-yang) which keeps our Solar System's planets orbiting within their courses.

We should also note that the explosive, violent Mars-Uranus midpoint rises and conjoins the Ascendant of the above chart which suggests potentials for upsetting events, arrests, or injuries (Ebertin); and/or deriving enjoyment from agitating or upsetting others (Munkasey).

Of course, the last and current cycle of Jupiter-Saturn in effect until December 21, 2020 is the conjunction of May 28, 2000 @22Tau43, one of the heralds of the New Millennium. '23Taurus' = "A Jewelry Shop Filled with the Most Magnificent Gems"..."negative expression: a greediness which betrays the soul with trifles" (Jones). Curiously enough, the 2000 conjunction occurred at the natal MC (Goals; Aspirations) of the greedy Donald Trump who seems to have betrayed his country for filthy lucre.

Now here's an excerpt from a previous post which involves a time link via the 19-year solar eclipse cycle between year 2000 and year 2019:

Here I'll add that the 2 South eclipse of January 5, 2019 manifests upon the Saturnian South Node of the New Millennium Horoscope, a point of separation and possible neurosis when tactics or defenses of the past no longer suffice but are irrationally used anyway. Coupled with the eclipse @15Capricorn, this may suggest long-established groups of the past and separation from rather than the joining of them.

And if we wish to focus on the heavyweight trio of planets in the 10th house of Public Status and Career in the above chart, we can briefly consider potentials of three midpoint pictures between them which will form into year 2021 if not before:

Jupiter-Saturn = Pluto: intense business activity; a total reversal to previously made plans; extreme changes (Munkasey); violent changes; immense effort; separation; restriction (Ebertin, who adds, "in certain cases Pluto = Jupiter-Saturn leads to an enforced change through imprisonment, in which case the political situation has to be considered"); major change of situation; tremendous perseverance; dramatic thrust of self; control of the situation (Tyl).

Jupiter-Pluto = Saturn: delayed plans for advancement; lessens the focus on destruction; hindrances in quests for both fame and privacy (Munkasey); difficulties; separation (Ebertin); strategy becomes necessary; adjusting the big picture to meet with convention (Tyl).

Saturn-Pluto = Jupiter: favorable outcomes in the use of large expenditures of resources or energies; people who have leadership and power to dispense; opinions about how to reclaim the use of waste products for other activities (Munkasey); religious and social fanaticism; excessive modesty; self-sacrifice for others (Ebertin); trouble with authority; adoption of the austere; staying out of trouble; trying to save what's left (Tyl).

And yes, that's the 1993 degree of the Utopian Uranus-Neptune conjunction/s (18Capricorn) with its "smug or strong-armed paternalism' implications at The Goal Point (MC) of the Jupiter-Saturn chart. DC Horoscope: Manafort Trial September 17, 2018

Update August 28, 2018: the September 17th trial of Paul Manafort will proceed as scheduled with jury selection, however, opening statements are postponed for one week until September 24th.

Uncertain of the precise hour the trial of Paul Manafort opens on September 17, 2018 in a Washington DC courtroom, the following horoscope is set for '8:00 am edt' and as you see, the Midheaven ('MC'), or Goal Point, at the top of the chart @8Can34 shows the natal Mercury of Donald Trump crossing over it at that moment. Fixed star Alhena is there as well with its theme, to have a mission. Might the mission have anything to do with Trump's chatty if duplicitous Mercury? More likely with Mr. Manafort's knowledge of the Mercurial Trump's 2016 campaign.

September 17, 2018 The Cosmic Curtain Rises in Judge Jackson's Courtroom

Rising at 8:00 am is 7Lib32 which makes Venus chart-ruler yet she makes no applying aspects at all to clue us in on how things will proceed. Or does she? With no application of the chart-ruler, we must depend on Venus' sign, degree, house placement (2nd h of Money, Values, Possessions), and house ruler-ship to tell the tale. Here, with Venus in brooding Scorpio, sign of corporations, money, big business, and betrayal, we find the Sabian Symbol for Venus' degree instructive: '6Scorpio' = "A Gold Rush"...AMBITION with its negative expression of "a lack of practical discrimination and an irresistible desire for easy money." (Jones). Considering the allegations against unregistered 'foreign lobbyist' and money launderer, Mr. Manafort, this seems clear enough, right? Plus, Venus also rules the corporate 8th house of Finance, Shared Resources, Credit, and Debt via Taurus, the luxury-loving sign of Paul Manafort's natal Moon. Yes, luxury, comfort, money, and possessions are his reigning needs (Moon).

Then there's Mr. Trump's natal Cancerian Mercury at Goal Point--Mercury, planet of communications (ex: tweets), commerce, trade, theft, deals and negotiations--in Cancer, sign of patriotism, shrewd business ability, and self-protection, so we may expect Paul Manafort's knowledge of Mr. Trump's words, plans, deals, and 'patriotism' to be part of the legal proceedings if Trump's name comes up at all. Possibly it will in relation to the events, contacts, and negotiations which took place at RNC 2016 as foreign actors lurked about:

So as you see, 8:00 am edt is an Hour of Saturn, perfect for legalities and for holding the innocent-until-proven-guilty to account. Upper right of the chart I penned the ASC 7Lib32 to show that Trump's natal Neptune (5:50 Rx) is rising, then Manafort's natal Neptune (13:52 Rx) about to rise. The Sun-Mercury midpoint (business people) of this chart sits upon America's natal Neptune (23Virgo) which provides a cosmic picture of swindlers and crooks (Ebertin). Homegrown ones, I guess. Anyway, at the Foundation (IC) of the chart, the Moon at a Cardinal World Point) pairs with Saturn conjoins asteroid Orpheus so cue the violins for the emotional heaviness that pervades. Yet the Moon-Saturn duo can also denote ambition and strategy especially here in Capricorn.

This is a first quarter Moon phase (crisis in action) but what really catches my eye is the Locomotive shape of the planets (ruthless success) led by little Mercury @21Virgo--conjunct fixed star Denebola (to go against society). Mercury is oriental (rises just before the Sun) and in the 12th house of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, Secret Enemies, and Backroom Deals. And of course, Sun in 12th house denotes unconscious arrogance and with Mercury oriental it's predictably a 'cross the Ts dot the Is' sort of day.

Paul Manafort's natal Mercury at Aries Point (00:04) is in process of being visited by transit Chiron (the wounded healer, the wound, the blind spot) suggesting him as a conduit of some sort for sending messages. Then his natal Venus @7Ari42 is setting for the vengeful-when-scorned planet sits precisely on the Descendant at 8:00 am--with his natal Mars @8Ari21. With this pair, are love affairs or other liaisons indicated? Or merely irritability, exaggeration, and possibly a lack of tact? (Ebertin).

Now striding across the chart is a Grand Cross if we allow the Nodal axis to take part. Otherwise, it's a double T-Square between the Venus-Uranus opposition that points toward Mars @1AQ28--and US POTUS Sun (in 2017, Sun @00AQ48 = Trump) on one end, and Venus-Uranus = North NOde on the other. Quick responses and intense feelings are suggested. Plus, someone is 'ready to go' and 'proud' (POTUS Sun). Of course, another picture is shown--Mars-NN = Uranus which denotes potentials for upsets and sudden experiences, but also for active cooperation. Then Venus opposite Uranus adds collaboration to the Mars-Nodal picture. But surely not the flipping of Paul Manafort! Probably just the legal teams involved in the investigations and the trial.

And naturally, there's a notation at the bottom of the horoscope with saboteur and wealth-hoarder Pluto @18Cap48 Rx again intensifying the 1993 Uranus-Neptune conjunction/s (18Cap) which forms a midpoint picture of 'the big picture must be followed; very little option to do otherwise' (Tyl). Sounds like an offer someone can't refuse. The Sabian Symbol for this degree describes POLITICAL POWER and, negatively, 'strong-armed paternalism' at its 'best' (by which I mean worst) and here in 4th house, the Basis of the whole shebang.

And we mustn't neglect to mention the Jupiter-Pluto sextile (plutocrats; big wheeler-dealers--2nd h of Money, 4th h of Real Estate) which forms a temporary YOD (crisis; turning point) with Trump's natal Uranus-NN-Sun trio which is marked in orange in the 8th house. As a midpoint picture, this suggests Mr. Trump's tendencies for quick exploitation of every situation, far-reaching associations, possible adjustment to new circumstances, fanatical striving for improvement, and political activities (Ebertin). As a YOD the pattern can act as a timer for major adjustments which must be made so that a complete change of direction is facilitated. If the energies are poorly handled, results will be negative for Mr. Trump.

Well, there are many more cosmic clues in the chart and in later charts of the day but since I try to avoid typing too much about a horoscope for which I have no exact hour, I'll leave you with this spotty analysis until and unless the hour the trial begins is discovered causing the different house cusps to change to a large extent so that any of the portents mentioned in today's post don't hold. Or if there's a delay in the court calendar.

Aug 21, 2018 Sun and Saturn affect Trump legal matters

As Above, So Below for Donald Trump

August 21, 2018: Today in Alexandria, Virginia, jurors found Paul Manafort guilty of 8 out of 18 counts of felonious activities while Trump fixer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in his many-faceted case and pointed a finger at Donald Trump ('candidate') as the co-conspirator who directed him to pay Trump amours Karen MacDougal and Stephanie Clifford in order to protect Trump's 2016 campaign for the presidency. Campaign finance violations may attach.

But predictably, GOP lawmakers try to distance Trump from Manafort and Cohen as democrats pounce what with the 2018 midterms upon us and Mr. Trump's legal exposure from these outcomes remains to be seen in the coming days and weeks.

That was on Earth. Overhead in the starry firmament, today's Sun returned to its degree at last summer's Great American Eclipse (28Leo52) which precisely conjoined the natal Ascendant of Mr. Trump (remember he took off his safety glasses to stare directly at the eclipsed orb?)--and perfected not far from his rising Mars @27Leo. Rounded up to 29Leo, the eclipsed Sun's degree one year ago today and therefore, today's Sun position, are at a critical-crisis 29th degree.

Even starker is that royal 'kingmaker' star Regulus is in the solar mix and rises in the natal chart of Mr. Trump as we recently discussed. All the Royal Stars of Persia contain great gifts but include serious cautions which, if neglected or ignored, are not so forgiving. In fact, this sounds a bit like karmic Saturn who rewards only those who honestly deserve it. He will not be trifled with!

Yet there's another factor in the 2017 eclipse chart that tells a difficult tale in line with today's legal events--that 2017 Saturn @21Sag11 precisely conjoined the sensitive natal Moon of Donald Trump and very soon went on to oppose his natal Sun (22Gemini), either of which condition represents sobering times. His having the Nodes involved with his natal Sun-Moon opposition only adds more karmic flavor to these transits and spotlights the legal events that, as of today, will begin to threaten Mr. Trump in earnest.

Because we know that Saturn's realm includes the legal system, lawyers, judges, karmic decisions, restrictions, limits, scrutiny, and--perhaps most importantly--accountability, something Mr. Trump has already attempted to distance himself from (today's Manafort convictions "have nothing to do with me," he says). To natal Moon, harsh Saturn tends to bring feelings of emotional deprivation and turmoil and can even herald a forced change of residence if other factors agree. The family isn't faring very well either. Opposing natal Sun, one's ego and sense of pride are affected negatively by authoritative Saturn so that goals are delayed, hindered, or blocked while failure to accept responsibilities will not satisfy the rightful demands of taskmaster Saturn. Leadership, integrity, and honesty are challenged and if one has broken (Saturnian) rules or laws in the past, it can mean the eventual loss of something even more valuable. Such difficulties and worries might also signal a health breakdown approaching especially if the recipient of Saturn's rays has reached a ripe old age, or if chronic conditions exist.

Trump's Proposed Deportation of The Masses

February 14, 2018: On the floor of the US Senate watch Senator Bernie Sanders speak on the subjects of DACA and immigration. Perhaps the senator represents not just his constituents but also astrological Saturn (the senex/the old man, the authority with more seniority) as he provides the amateurish yet venal Mr. Trump with a few lessons in decency. Hopefully this can help stop Trump's daft deportation plan that is certain to carry even more than a high emotional price tag since it would require massive amounts of funding to pay for the jailing and deporting of hundreds of thousands of people...'the masses'.

Who will be targeted next? Will Americans stir from their apathy before it's too late?

After all, transit Saturn is strong in its own sign of serious Capricorn and is in process of bringing karmic Saturnian limitations to Mr. Trump's very problematic Mercury-Neptune square spun with fantasies, misconceptions, falsehoods, sneakiness, faulty judgment, and deceptive propaganda ('fake' Neptune/'news' Mercury). In addition to Senator Sanders, if anything can work out well in America anymore, Special Counsel Robert Mueller heading the investigation into Trump's dealings with Russia and other matters will act toward Mr. Trump as a critical, sobering Saturnian figure who holds him to account for any misdeeds, betrayals, or crimes he may have perpetrated--in spite of Trump's natal Saturn in self-protective Cancer and his Neptune-infected natal Mercury, also in the sign of Cancer the Crab which always scuttles sideways in order to avoid dealing directly and having to pay the price--behavior that suits trickster Mercury, the juggler and thespian, just fine.

2018 Saturn and Pluto to Inauguration 2017 Planets

First, let's note the all-alone Sun (POTUS) in Career 10th house (conjunct asteroid Icarus) which has turned out to be prophetic given the high number of resignations and firings from the service of Donald Trump's White House--and in the brief time of his under-fire administration. Obviously, many stressful situations and separations have been self-created no less so than by Mr. Trump himself through his attempt to remake America in his distorted Klan-esque image.

Of course, it is no secret that this particular Southerner has never believed the man is up to the task of playing US president because I value the office more highly than his personal flaws can possibly reach. Many of my fellow astrologers criticize me for this bias yet I have also stated here and elsewhere that as any POTUS goes, so goes America and for this reason my hope as a Child of the Revolution has been that Donald Trump would do well in the job on behalf of the American people, and by extension, the rest of the world. Unfortunately, this so far seems an empty wish on my part and yet hope does, and must, spring eternal.

And so with trepidation, the following is my consideration of a few of the upcoming 2018/2019 transits to the Trump Inauguration chart of 2017. No beneficial transits will be listed which is due to my anxiety over the fate of our nation under Trump's quixotic Uranian leadership (see the 'whimsical' link at the end of this post). If this bothers you, dear reader, you are invited to discount this post and mosey on to something that echoes your adoration of Mr. Trump as 'dear leader' for you'll find no such adoration here!

Transit Pluto Square Inaugural Uranus 2018 into 2019

In the chart you see Inaugural Ascendant @14Tau07 which brought Trump's natal 9th house of legalities, foreign lands, philosophy and religion to the fore from the start and for the duration of his tenure. Inaugural Pluto in 9th house will make a series of squares to Inaugural Uranus (12th house of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, and Large Institutions) beginning on March 7, 2018--still a 9th-to-12th house situation. This occurs with both transiting planets at critical-crisis degrees (Aries-Capricorn 20:46). This is the Cardinal Square reasserting its difficult energies for Mr. Trump and our nation. The second exact square occurs on June 9, 2018, the third on January 6, 2019, the fourth on September 9, 2019, and the last on October 26, 2019 so the entire period is one of higher powers threatening or imposing restrictions on political and economic systems and on the radical reforms (Uranus is Aries = Utopian anarchists and blind zealots--Ebertin) of Mr. Trump and his conspiring Republicans.

Transit Saturn 2018 Conjunct Inaugural Mercury @6Cap45

As you know, astrological Mercury represents multiple things on various levels with plans, communications, and commerce being only three of them. In 2018 there are three conjunctions to 9th house Mercury (6Cap45) from transiting Saturn, karmic planet of limitation, delay, loss, judgments, courts, laws, lawmakers, government, and business. Of course, Saturn is strong in his own sign of Capricorn and is slowly gearing up for his Great Conjunction with powerful Pluto on January 12, 2020 (DC horoscope shown). But for now, the old devil hits Inaugural Mercury in the legal 9th house three times in 2018 on: February 21, June 14, and November 20. This creates a period of increased responsibilities, circumstances that require a broadening of skills and knowledge, serious meetings (testimonies?) occurring, soberness that pervades the environment, and schedules, ideas, and plans that are restricted, delayed, or denied--and may a military parade be one of them!

Of interest as well is March 8, 2018's Jupiter Station Retrograde @23Sco13, the same spot in the Zodiac where transit Mars Stationed Direct during the 2016 Campaign on June 29, 2016--conjunct Mr. Trump's natal IC. On March 8, Jupiter will again be leading a BOWL pattern as Mr. Moneybags (and Jupiter the General) has done of late. Perhaps this cosmic condition relates to dictator-idolizing Trump's dream of a military parade through the streets of Washington DC which would show Trump's and America's weakness rather than the projection of power that he imagines.

Another curious transit to the Inauguration 2017 horoscope is the transiting South Node of the Moon (the 'tail of the dragon') swiping US Inaugural Sun (00AQ49 = POTUS) exact on October 27, 2018. This karmic transit suggests ego concerns (as always for Trump), leadership differences, and the potential for physical interactions. A major separation from POTUS--perhaps of the public or his 'base'--is also a possibility around this time.

Year 2018 ends with transit Jupiter square Inaugural Neptune (10Pis16 in 11th house of Hopes, Wishes, and Group Associations) on December 24, a time when Mr. Trump's need to live in a fantasy world increases, his judgment becomes cloudier than usual, and he yearns for greener pastures. Well, one thing we know--that for a majority of Americans, the current kingpin-in-chief can't graze to greener pastures soon enough.
