July 2023 Trump: a YOD of crisis spotlights his Mars in Leo

Another Look at Trump's Mars Return 2023

At the end of June just past, we discussed the July 4th Mars Return 2023 of Donald Trump (chart shown, above). The incomplete YOD of crisis pointing toward his natal Mars @27Leo on that day has moved closer to exactitude so here are a few additional notes on a YOD pattern (crisis or crossroads) with an apex Mars; note that such a pattern when ready to be expressed can also indicate a karmic opportunity for progress, but what are the chances with a vengeful grudge-holder like Trump?

At its base: Neptune sextile Pluto (awakening of the masses to spiritual or karmic forces) inconjunct Mars (motivation, action, energy; in Trump's case: aggression, egoism, zealotry): When ready to express but ill-managed, apex Mars here suggests potentials for displaced anger, aiming his hostility at inapropriate targets. An acute crisis situation induces the need for self-sufficient actions. Severing past ties and rapid adaptation are necessary in order to proceed along a new path, but mismanagement can result in fateful consequences due to (Trump's) rash, disruptive actions. As we see, his vengeful actions and insults these days are only making things worse for him in the legal realms.

So perhaps this is where Trump's rising Mars with royal Regulus comes in with the star's traditional caution: success if revenge is avoided; if not, all that has been gained will be taken away.

Then to complicate matters for our country, Mars @27Leo inconjuncts US 1776 Pluto (27Cap33) which denotes die-hard competitors who cannot accept defeat, even when wrong, and dogmatism is part of the picture. Thwarting them triggers violence, and this is a permanent condition since it's Trump's natal Mars--which also happens to oppose (target) US 1776 Moon (We the People) in late Aquarius in our July 4, 1776 late afternoon chart/s (DoI). The violence by and on behalf of Trump ("American carnage" promised and delivered) we've seen and experienced across the country, so no more need be said.

When we think of financial systems, powerful handlers of money such as bankers, politicians, power-brokers, Wall Street gentry, financiers, Federal Reserve officials, corporatists and other powerful movers and shakers, we naturally think of the Jupiter-Pluto planetary combination. And now that the stage-managed "debt ceiling crisis" is being tried on again by hostage-taking Republicans, as in 1995 and 2011, we look for information within the current Jupiter-Pluto Cycle which began in 2020 with three conjunctions - the first on April 5th, the third on November 12, 2020.

Jupiter-Pluto's 13-Year Cycle Began in 2020

Below is the previously published horoscope of the third conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto @22Cap51, in the highly sensitized 'governmental' degrees which also relate to the objectification of other people, whether in Capricorn or Cancer - and note that the 2020 conjunction manifested upon the natal Vertex ('VX') of gold-lover Donald Tr*mp, as did the Saturn-Pluto Conjuncton of January 12, 2020, the 'hardship' duo such as Republicans threaten now:

As you see, rising over the Capitol Building at the moment the 2020 Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction #3 perfected is 17Tau10 where radical Uranus cavorts. And with YOD patterns indicating conditions of crises, turning points, crossroads, special tasks, and/or karmic opportunities, we see in the horoscope that a pseudo-YOD exists when the Ascendant sextile Neptune (18Pis14 Rx) is considered as the pattern's base - but an element of timing comes into play once radical reformer Uranus arrives by transit and replaces the Ascendant in the YOD pattern.

As a result, apex planets activated by the YOD's Uranus-Neptune sextile (untapped energy sources) are the Moon and Venus (working together = good judgment of values) in 6th house, with Venus one of the money planets, and the Moon conjunct the natal 2nd house Jupiter of Mr Tr*mp. Perhaps we can agree that agent orange is a primary villain behind Speaker McCarthy's threat to crash the global economy if he and his maga-ites don't get their wish to cause misery and suffering across the land - why, Rs even want to cut veterans' benefits!

Of course, collapsing the US government is the goal of the GOP so that a nazi-style regime can be installed - with all the sadism and brutality this implies. Plus, note that the Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction perfected in the 9th house of Foreign Lands which suggests interference in our 'debt ceiling crisis' from abroad. Or perhaps instructions and orders from abroad would be closer to the truth.

And it's revealing that chaos-creator Uranus, the planet of zealotry and fanaticism, now completes the energy circuit of the 2020 YOD because the Uranian anarchists of the Republican Party, peeking out from behind Kevin McCarthy, are the ones forcing the issue as they attempt to shove President Biden into a corner over social safety net programs. As we know from past exerience, a debt default would make America a third-world country and this would please our country's enemies, domestic and foreign, with millions of American jobs lost, and bringing more of the "American carnage" promised by Herr Trump.

Apex Planets Moon and Venus

Then as we see with the activated YOD, it's time to step up via the apex planets, Moon and Venus, which are feminine, and the activated YOD indicates that the time has come to swing into action and address and solve a variety of societal problems, not just economic ones - problems such as testifying in court against predators, speaking up against crooked SCOTUS justices, and voting for common sense solutions in any situation that involves powerful people of wealth and public status who act against society, among other things. Yet it's true that the mundane Moon also symbolizes We the People and Venus = the ladies!

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether those in charge will come up with new and better ways of dealing with current issues before the clock runs out on our democratic Republic. Personally, my prayers are with and for leaders of good faith and concern for their fellow women and men. Therefore, my hope for avoiding 'US default' now rests with a secret plot via Rep. Mark Desaulnier (D-CA) and H.R. 626, a discharge petition to force a vote that by-passes the plans of Speaker McCarthy and his maga insurrectionists who'd rather 'burn it all down'!

Now according to congressional rules, on May 16, 2023, Democrats can begin collecting names on the discharge petition and we should note that five Republicans are needed to sign as well for a total of 218. Then with the debt default crisis out of the way, fiscal responsibility can rear its head as common sense negotiations on the budget move forward without any pearl-clutching at all.

June 5, 2021: Mars and Pluto in an Opposition of Power

June 5, 2021: A 'Full Moon' phase for the Mars-Pluto Cycle

May 24, 2021 Monday: Previously we looked at a DC Horoscope of the May 26, 2021 Lunar Eclipse @5Sag25 (chart shown) and noted the soon-coming Mars-Pluto opposition - exact on June 5, 2021 (26Can27/26Cap27). Obviously, with transit Pluto within orb of US natal Pluto (27Cap33, in 1776 2nd house of our Sag rising charts = National Treasury, Values including Currency, and Possessions), this simultaneously spotlights a Mars opposition to US natal Pluto and this indicates potentials for: a contest of wills, attempts at manipulation, confronting hostile forces, interference in or disruption of the status quo, and/or efforts to gain control. However, Mars in Cancer can be moody, angry, impulsive, and exhibit a lack of perseverance so that sustained follow-through may be difficult. And as you know, the sign of Cancer is tribal, nationalistic, and patriotic but the patriotism may be only superficial.

Yet during periods influenced by Mars-Pluto, emotions run high, brutality remains a method intended to spark fear among the populace, issues of rape may be addressed, concerns over militarism are on the table, plus, forceful seizures and unscrupulous procedures continue to be used.

So for more information, a look back at the current Mars-Pluto cycle which began with their conjunction on March 23, 2020 @24Cap47 (exact at 1:20 am edt; ASC 15Sag40; MC 4Lib29 conjunct the former guy's natal Neptune at apex of a YOD with Mercury-Uranus as its base = nerve troubles; an irresponsible attitude; sloppy work habits), the 2nd house Mars-Pluto conjunction snugs between Jupiter 23Cap13 and Saturn 00AQ04 with karmic Saturn restricting America's Inaugural Sun of the former guy and occurring near the time our national quarantine began due to fears of Covid. (In government Jupiter-Saturn = checks-and-balances.)

So as we know, Saturnian accountability was demanded of that Sun in 2020 but you-know-who is very weak in the area of accepting responsibility for his actions with his natal Saturn in watery Cancer, sign of The Crab that scuttles sideways to avoid all confrontations. Hopefully, due to current criminal investigation, such options won't be available to his nibs for much longer although I've always thought of Herr Spanky as a major flight risk if there ever was one.

Anyway, a comparison of the Mars-Pluto conjunction horoscope (with Mars exalted and working efficiently in earthy Capricorn unlike Mr. Macho in watery Cancer) with that of the June 5, 2021 Mars-Pluto opposition horoscope shows much conflict, anger, fanaticism, and perhaps a suggestion of a police state (via the military). There's also a T-Square between Mars-Pluto square the Moon (25Ari02 in 7th house: mundane Moon = We The People) but the charts also show a determination toward diplomacy as 2021 Venus joins the 2020 North Node so let's support President Biden and his team all we can!

After all, on a diplomatic level, the Mars-Pluto opposition could very well represent Presidents Biden and Putin at the G-7 Summit in Geneva, Switzerland (June 15-16) with the White House and Kremlin pushing for a meeting between them if it can be arranged. If so, will their meeting be a 'hostile confrontation' or an oppositional culmination or fulfillment of some kind? Either way we'll soon find out, won't we?

Can a Past Eclipse Spotlight 2020 Conditions?

Horoscope: 13 South Solar Eclipse January 9, 1777 10:47:04 am LMT Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Ascendant: "3 Aries" = "A Cameo Profile of a Man in the Outline of His Country"

July 22, 2020: Once again I'm attempting to show that a past Solar Eclipse (January 9, 1777 @19Cap50 in the sinister 13 South Saros Series) can continue to describe conditions and events in the US by way of Secondary Progressions along with the real-time eclipse horoscope itself when triggered by current transits. Yes, I've written about this 'history rhymes' situation previously but today a view of the actual 1777 Solar Eclipse Horoscope may add to the picture in relation to current events and is based on Astrology's day-for-a-year method of progressions.

The horoscope for America I've used for today's Secondary Progressions ('SP') is the July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, Pennsylvania version though of course other versions may be used as well. If you progress the US horoscope to today's date and check out its 'Prenatal Solar Eclipse' ('PE') you'll see 19Cap50 listed, and in real time that's the January 9, 1777 13 South Solar Eclipse you see pictured, above. Naturally, eclipses in Saturn-ruled Capricorn involve control issues, authority figures, and one's relationship to them. Plus, the negative qualities of the sign such as greed, avarice, coldness, ruthless ambition, and selfishness must be avoided if karmic progress is to be made. Obviously, these negative qualities now shown by regressive Authority Figure #1 and his anti-government, anti-constitutional, anti-humanity enablers are blocking the progressive policies that would improve conditions for the American people and would put corporate bad actors back on their heels. However, consistent efforts must be made along with the correct use of resources (eclipse in Earth). Again, the current regime interrupts what should be our progress, plus, with Jupiter opposing the eclipse, ethical and moral standards must guide and be upheld if we wish to succeed in any significant way. In 1777 General Washington possessed such a character. In 2020 we are hampered by certain low characters infesting and sabotaging our country - in a word, traitors. (See chart, lower left corner.)

For pandemic influences, see upper right (deadly Pluto conjunct the karmic South Node) and consider all the diseases that afflicted the Continental Army. Karma is also shown by Neptune and Pluto (a combo with criminal intentions, or, the use of drugs, the occult, or spirituality) for both are at Nodal Degree, an indication of fate at work, along with interceptions across the 6/12 axis of the victim-savior Virgo-Pisces polarity (yet a different house system might mitigate this particular karmic factor). Personally I think it belongs considering current Virgoan-Piscean conditions and the fact that the 6/12 is involved - health, hospitals, military/police/civil servants, karma, hidden enemies, etc, the very concerns we now struggle with.

So as you can see, I've followed my bad habit of squishing a bunch of study notes onto the image (please enlarge or print to read) but below I will add in this text the themes of 13 South Eclipses since my assertion here is that our nation's current conditions and potential events in 2020 are hereby described in part by 13 South themes 'running in the background' of society and basically unconscious. With US finances in turmoil and congressional disputes over bail-out funds, 1777's Jupiter Rx @20Can15, a critical-crisis degree, is significant and opposes the eclipse (19Cap50). In early 2020, a cosmic time link was formed when this degree and planet were 'eclipsed' on January 10, 2020 by a Lunar Eclipse conjunct Castor. Now as you know, fixed stars are most expressive when eclipsed and Gemini Twin Castor suggests either super creativity, a loss, and/or murder. (You can see the January 2020 Lunar Eclipse notated near Jupiter Rx in 4th house.)

Also notated on the chart and conjunct its IC (the Foundation or Basis of the Matter) is a major cosmic time link which also 'knits together' 1777 and 2020: the
Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse of June 21, 2020 @00Can21, a Cardinal World Point of global manifestation, and its eclipse themes which we're now experiencing until the next Solar Eclipse on December 14, 2020 (or up to 14 days prior) @23Sag08 in the 4 South Series.

We should also mention that, although it's not officially a YOD pattern of crisis, turning point, a crossroads, health problems, and/or a karmic spiritual opportunity, the Neptune-North-Node sextile points toward Venus (26AQ34 in the karmic 12th house) which also happens to conjunct US natal Moon (We The People). The Neptune-NN pair relates to a lack of community spirit and their sextile of subtle evasion forms the base of a YOD for those who use points or angles other than planets. YOD or not, we have potentials of some midpoint pictures to consider which include Trump's natal Mars (26Leo) for it opposes 1777 Venus and US natal Moon (1776):

Neptune-NN = Venus: misconceptions about other people's relationships and associations; wrong liaisons; unfaithfulness; with Moon: lack of adaptability and community spirit; disappointments; with Mars: disharmony; inability to adjust to circumstances or conditions; association with sick people (R. Ebertin).

Now here are the themes (via Brady's Predictive Astrology) of the 13 South Solar Eclipse that I believe now have influence upon society as shown by cosmic time links and by 2020 transits, particularly the Capricorn trio of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto:

13 South Themes: 'sinister energies; urge to expand which may be frustrated; loss; separation; constitutional crisis and possible dismissal of a leader' (General Washington avoided dismissal but will Trump?); and/or 'evacuation' (Brady). To 'evacuation' I regretfully have added, evictions since many Americans are being unfairly threatened with it by a corrupt administration and a Republican-led Senate so often derelict in its duty.

As for Trump's violent intentions against peaceful protesters, you see notated one factor: Ascendant = Uranus-Pluto: 'applications of force' (Ebertin). By transit, the current position of the Uranus-Pluto midpoint in mid-Pisces opposes and activates the Great Conjunctions in mid-Virgo of revolutionary planets Uranus and Pluto 3 times during the mid-1960s and the Civil Rights Movement and again we see street protests and instigators sent to disrupt the peace and muddy issues.

Yet if we look up and beyond our earthly trials for only a moment, we may find the Sabian Symbol of the 1777 Solar Eclipse degree of '20 Capricorn': "A Hidden Choir Singing", a lovely word picture described by Marc Edmund Jones as, "a symbol of the eternal music of the spheres" and its positive expression of: "a unique gift for establishing a common interest and making it a power for the good of all"!

For then as now, it was difficult days for American Patriots fighting to establish this country, and today we must fight to preserve it.

DC Horoscope: Autumn Equinox 2020

March 16, 2020: Well, here it is, the DC Horoscope of Autumn Equinox 2020, timed by the moment the Sun reaches 00Lib:00:00 on Tuesday September 22nd at 9:30:31 am EDT with Scorpio rising in DC. Chart-ruler Mars (co-ruler Pluto) makes two applying aspects in the chart, a square to Saturn (1A36), then a square to co-ruler Pluto (4A27) and of course, a Rx chart-ruler ups the chances of delays and difficulties, temporary though they may be:

As you can see, 6th house Mars is retrograde and symbolically moving back toward opposition with rising Mercury in Libra (24:15) suggesting that previous debates will continue (opposition exact September 24th at 6:53 am) but the two dynamic squares from Mars are what take precedence as to how things will proceed. Note that the Sun @00Libra conjuncts America's natal Midheaven in our nation's late afternoon chart (July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA) as is the case every year. Significantly, this particular Autumn Equinox chart contains the November 3rd 2020 Election--assuming that voting goes on as scheduled, even with the fly in our ballot ointment being voting planet Mercury stationing and changing direction on Election Day and possibly suggesting changed minds if not machine glitches and/or hacking. So how will things proceed within Autumn Equinox 2020 conditions?

According to chart-and-Equinox-ruler Mars, forceful in his own sign of Aries and in 6th house of Service and Health, a square to restrictive Saturn (still strong in his own sign of governmental/business oriented Capricorn) indicates frustrations, delays, and difficulties aggravated by Mars Rx, as noted. Resistance to authority, bad timing, and threats are potentials and patience is necessary for these conditions are only temporary and should clear up soon after Mars turns Direct on or about November 14th.

However, transit Mars goes on to square powerful Pluto, the wealthy, stealthy manipulator, and karmic conditions ramp up as intense power struggles are engaged, jealousy may rear its ugly head, and motivations are of a vengeful nature. Some form of destruction is evident, military battles are a possibility, and anger turns to rage as past actions interfere with current progress. Various plans may have to be delayed yet if this forceful Mars-Pluto energy can be positively channeled, much can be accomplished. Whether with positive or negative results depends upon motivations of the people involved including opponents.

Now there are several other chart factors of note in this chart but since I'm feeling rather fussy tonight, I shall leave many of them for you to discover and, if you wish, leave your on-topic comments with this post.

Yet for anyone desiring more information, here's some concerning the 4 North Prenatal Solar Eclipse of this Equinox (Eclipse @00Can21 conjunct 9th cusp). Oddly enough, we might wish to note that the November 12th conjunction @22Cap52 (not '21:51' as erroneously scribbled) conjoins head-on the natal Vertex of Donald Trump (22:51). Can he turn things to his advantage as he so often does? We'll see, especially with his lucky Jupiter-Uranus trine.

Meanwhile, my friends, we can say that Autumn Equinox 2020 is full of financial and economic indicators seen in part by a problematic YOD pattern (see upper right) of crisis or a turning point (full of karmic opportunity) between money planets, the speculating pair of bubbles, inflation, risk-taking, and grand financial schemes--Jupiter and Neptune (sextile here but conjunct in the 1792 NYSE Buttonwood chart). Plus, there's values planet Venus @18Leo07 in the visible 10th house, so some new perspectives concerning upcoming conditions of change and fluctuation which are also suggested by a 2nd hou$e Moon in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius--will be in order by September or probably before considering the mess we're already in with global shutdowns and financing. Unfortunately, US currency issues are possible so perhaps it's crazy to think it but a measure of Venusian diplomacy could be on America's menu, led by--a woman?!

Summer Solstice 2019's Planetary Patterns

In a previous post we considered the DC Horoscopes of Spring Equinox 2019 and Summer Solstice 2019 with both charts set for the White House and both having the same signs and degrees on their angles (14 Virgo rising, 12 Gemini at MC) which spotlights astrological Mercury--retrograde in Pisces and hangin' with deceptive Neptune in Spring but speeding through Cancer during the month of June.

As I type, we're in April and poised within the Spring season as we look ahead toward Summer so let's take another peek at the Summer Solstice 2019 chart with its Mutable Grand Cross, dynamic T-Squares, a focussed YOD, a Mystic Rectangle, and a Locomotive shape of planets chugging along behind Jupiter Rx.

Plus, Summer 2019 as a topic must include the karmic July 2, 2019 Solar Eclipse in Cancer and the July 2019 Lunar Eclipse (DC Horoscopes shown). So that's two disruptive Uranian 'wild cards' or 'cosmic blinks' in July, plus, America's 243rd birthday!

And mention should be made that in this chart Uranus @5Tau34 in the 8th house of Corporatism, Transformation, Debt/Credit, Insurance, Shared Resources, and the Occult is unaspected. Yes, Trump is a Jupiterian (natal Jupiter Stationary, materialistic and large) and a Martian (Mars rising with royal Regulus in royal Leo) but he's also very much a radical Uranian with his 10th house Uranus in Gemini behaving as his 'guiding planet' of chaos and disruption. When unaspected, the independent nature of planet Uranus is intensified along with its tendency to be unaffected by outside influences. Sparks of intuition may occur but won't inform the rest of the planets so that rigid, self-defeating, unconscious patterns of behavior are enforced rather than improved upon. And as you know, Uranus in money-oriented Taurus denotes a period when unusual sources of income are sought and speculation risks all in one roll of the dice. But with quirky Uranus in staid Taurus, premature action often leads to failure (Ebertin) making prudence and caution necessary.

Prominent Planetary Patterns of Summer 2019

First, Jupiter Rx is the engine leading a Locomotive shape in the chart and this denotes high-powered executive/s ruthlessly determined upon success (Trump?). Yet with Jupiter retrograde, his plans may be delayed, interrupted, or somehow debilitated. Perhaps things will more easily progress once Jupiter resumes direct motion and trundles on his way forward after August 11, 2019. Note that astrological Jupiter may play many roles: politician, banker, corporatist, religious figure, judge, lawyer, military general, a wealthy person, a civil servant, an explorer/adventurer, and/or a fortune hunter.

A Mutable Grand Cross (Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, ASC) spotlights conditions of extreme restlessness and nervousness yet if the energies are well-handled can instead denote alertness and mental vigor. However, plans under its sway tend to be implemented inconsistently, indirectly, and by using impractical methods. Concentration is often lacking or is vacillating and indecisive. Needless to say, conditions are frustrating and, similar to the sign of Gemini, mental focus and actions tend to be spread too thinly in multiple directions to be as successful as they could be. Of course, the Grand Cross's oppositions describe a need to integrate logic and reasoning ability into circumstances and relationships in order to mitigate at least some of the instability and unreliability suggested here.

Add to this the muddled thinking and dreaminess when it comes to facing harsh realities embedded within a Jupiter-Neptune square, plus, a Venus-Neptune square's difficulty discerning the difference between reality and fantasy--with both squares and the people they represent affected by watery Neptune in its own sign of secretive Pisces--Neptune, planet of deception, lies, fraud, confusion, the media, the masses, and propaganda so it seems that we have a continuation of the Trumpish atmosphere of fantasy and deceit we've been mired in since Summer 2015.

Now naturally, any Grand Cross contains a few T-Squares, and the primary of which here is Venus-Jupiter = Neptune (conjunct the Descendant axis) so that foreign capital investments and/or foreign raids on the treasury are potentials. As a midpoint picture, possibilities include expansion, inflation, weakened limitations (such as laws?), and illusion and confusion delaying real progress. Also note that value-loving Venus is in duplicitous Gemini at the top of the chart for the entire world to see. Therefore, currency issues may also be indicated and be a goal (MC) and a topic of public discourse (Gemini). But Venus can also vengeful (especially when scorned) so retaliation may be on our Summer calendar as it always is for Donald Trump.

Then opposite Venus is banking planet Jupiter at IC and retrograde until August 11, 2019 (stations @14Sag30) so finances are in process of being reviewed, lessened, delayed, and/or retracted. Jupiter in 4th house suggests the involvement of Real Estate and/or Mining. Also in 4th house is Summer Solstice 2019's Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') of January 5, 2019 @15Capricorn which imprinted upon the 116th Congress with its theme of 'joining new groups and gaining a great deal' ( Brady). Having two money planets opposing one another sounds a lot like a financial stand-off of some kind, doesn't it?

The YOD pointing toward the North Node (and Focused YOD pointing toward Saturn) show that a turning point or crossroad has been reached, a special task must completed, and/or a crisis awaits which must be dealt with. Plus, a combination of Saturn and South Node (of the Moon) is extremely limiting (cooperation needed!) and suggests some form of separation. However, at the base of the YOD the Moon-Jupiter sextile (60 degrees) suggests a ray of hope (A. Oken) yet we cannot ignore the fact that the Moon (the public) is apex of the socially concerned Saturn-Neptune midpoint which can indicate people with low character, pessimism, depression, and/or activities that serve no real purpose. And as a midpoint picture, Moon-Jupiter = Saturn also suggests limiting conditions; luck in brief spurts; lasting emotional misconceptions; negligence; inner conflicts; social disadvantages; and/or liver or gall bladder disease (Ebertin). Moon-Jupiter with NN merely hints at associations and new contacts that are 'on our path'.

As for the Mystic Rectangle (a pattern which always sounds rather groovy to me!) between Saturn, Neptune, NN, and ASC, its 'practical mysticism' vibe and karmic implications (Saturn, Nodal axis, and even slow-moving Neptune) can usually denote those who use mystical and/or astrological principles to guide their plans and actions so with Washington DC and our Founding Fathers well known for their mystical and astrological tendencies and interests via secret societies (ex: Freemasonry), I'll leave it for you to decide what and who in our present day may be hiding behind the scenes and manipulating outcomes during Summer 2019--or if the mystical pattern even applies to our circumstances at all!

Our Federal City's Upcoming Progressed Full Moon

Of course I had no 'Trump' in mind in early 2015 when I typed the post, yet Trump's natal 10th house Sun-NN-Uranus trio perches saucily atop the Midheaven of the 1791 chart (MC 22Gem58) along with US natal Mars just as 1791 Jupiter in Virgo rises (3:30 pm selected by the Masons because Jupiter in Virgo was rising) along with America's natal Neptune. 1791 Jupiter conjunct US natal Neptune (1776) in our era suggests pretense and illusion as the Federal City was founded--or, inspiration and the grand spirit. Yet the Founding Fathers of 1776 and 1791 were apparently unaware of the existence of far away planet Neptune with its potentials in Astrology for delusion, deception, fraud, dissolution, and its basic urge to merge.

Now naturally, your eagle eye spies a YOD pattern, too, between the 1791 Mars-Pluto sextile pointing to the rising Jupiter and Ascendant (and US natal Neptune) although Neptune and Pluto were unknown in 1791. YODs suggest turning points, crossroads, special tasks, or crises for Washington DC in relation to ideals, finances, promotion of ideas (spreading democracy? propaganda, media), expansion, growth, and/or exploration. Plus, this is a Jupiter-square-US-Mars transit denoting a period when moderation is needed, too much force may be used, rash actions can create more problems, and overestimation of strength or ability often occurs. In addition, a heady whiff of America's Jupiterian 'Manifest Destiny' may be noticed.

So each time since 1791 that transit Jupiter has returned to its 1791 degree, the Federal City's Mars-Pluto YOD has been re-activated, plus, other transiting planets and progressions have had their effects as well. The last/current Jupiter Return to 22Vir38 is a three-fer due to retrogradation; the exact conjunctions perfected on December 19, 2015, January 27, 2016, and August 3, 2016--reminding us of Donald Trump riding his escalator down from on-high (June 2015), paying an audience of actors to applaud his prez bid, campaigning ad nauseum (ongoing), and on November 8, 2016 being selected by the Electoral College to play the POTUS role against all common sense. For those of us attempting to ignore the recent and ongoing chaos he thrives upon and his dismantling of our traditions and institutions which he has apparently been plopped in the Oval Office in order to perpetrate, Wikipedia keeps a handy list of the Events of 2016 for our reviewing pleasure; of course, 2015 events are available there as well.

Eclipse watchers might wish to consider the solar eclipse themes of 2024 of which there are two: April 8th @19Aries in the 8 North Saros Series (prophetic visions, dreams, hunches), and October 2nd @10Libra (conjunct the 2024 SP Full Moon's North Node!) in the 8 South series (separation and loss; physical injury is possible; over-straining of one's strength--Brady).

And if we read the planets of the Federal City's YOD as midpoint pictures, we have potentials for: Mars-Pluto = Jupiter: the big plan comes into focus (Utopian America, aka, the New Atlantis!); making things happen (a capital city); Mars-Pluto = ASC: showing the hero image; the fighter who dares the impossible; and Mars-Pluto = US natal Neptune: cunning strategies; subterfuge; plotting rebellion (Solar Arcs, Noel Tyl).

These potentials all sound like my former Federal City of residence to me.

Tri-Wheel: Trump-Comey-Testimony June 8, 2017

Tri-Wheel: Donald Trump (center), James Comey (middle; 'noon' chart), and a transit chart (outer) set for 10:00 am edt, Capitol Building Washington DC, the approximate time former FBI Director James Comey is to testify concerning Mr. Trump, Comey's firing, and/or Trump's attempts to halt the FBI investigation (obstruction of justice) into his administration's ties to Russia and Vladimir Putin:

Mr. Comey's testimony to Congress is public in the morning at 10:00 am edt with a private session set for after lunch (2:00 pm edt). The four Solar and Lunar Eclipses of 2017 are penned outside the charts and they bracket Trump's ASC-DESC axis--with the August 21st Solar Eclipse @29Leo precisely conjunct his natal Ascendant which can bring explosive events. We'll consider the planetary links that jump out at us although more connections exist, of course, and I trust you to find them if you wish.

The 10:00 am edt chart is ruled by Venus in Taurus (which Venus rules) who makes one applying aspect, a sextile to Mars in Cancer--a Mars approaching Mr. Comey's next Mars Return (conjunct Sirius), a new cycle of activity for him. Venus sextile Mars denotes a period of opportunity for someone if they aggressively follow through concerning the situation.

As you see, the spotlight (Sun 17Gem57) shines upon Mr. Trump's natal Uranus (17:53) which draws eyes to his quirky, disruptive style of 'governing'.

Now the main trio is Trump's rising Mars @26Leo conjoined by Comey's natal Uranus (explosive! bombshell!) and both planets are pointed toward by the transiting North Node of public encounters. An interpretation of this trio's potentials as a midpoint picture is penned on the chart, lower left, but add to it possibilities such as quarrels, disruption, meetings with law enforcement, and/or radical political reforms or reformers.

There is also a transiting 'YOD' (crisis; turning point; special task) formed at 10:00 am of Jupiter-Ascendant = Neptune (14Pis14), planet of masks, obfuscation, deception, and scandals which conjoins fixed star Achernar (crisis at the end of the river; the risk of rapid endings). The picture is: an astute politician with little practical sense (Munkasey); speculation; disappointments; losses (Ebertin). Neptune as apex planet of a YOD pattern indicates one who would rather remain in his emotional ivory tower than directly face harsh realities without--he gazes at his difficulties from afar.

Here's an unmasking of dreamy but gaseous Neptune now:

Between the natal charts of the two combatants is James Comey's natal Sun (22Sag) conjunct Donald Trump's natal Moon-SN conjunction and opposing Trump's natal Sun-NN conjunction. Is this a destined confrontation? It seems both personalities (Sun) and emotions (Moon) clash between them as reps of their generations (1946 vs 1960), and natal Sun conjunct another's Moon ultimately gives the Sun person (Comey) the upper hand. Plus, transit Saturn has been afflicting Mr. Trump's Sun-Moon opposition on his Nodal axis off and on since late last year (applying, with a 5-degree orb).

Then in Trump's 5th house you see transit Pluto @18Capricorn conjunct (as it has been off and on of late) Mr. Comey's natal Saturn, planet of authority, accountability, and control and denoting a situation where he must confront abuse of authority. And in a flurry of synchronicity, transit (Tr) Pluto is in the midst of the 1993 degree/s of the Great Conjunction of Uranus and Neptune which we've discussed several times previously: the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise (Tyl).

Now as you know, Mr. Trump campaigned on fighting against that 'big picture' (global governance) with his version of American Nationalism and isolationism (ex: withdrawal from the Paris agreement on climate change). If the play goes on as scheduled on June 8, 2017 we'll see a political performance with Mr. Trump up against tremendous forces determined to take him down and though this is tragic on a personal level, it matters more that the US government is being 'taken down' with him, almost as if it were planned all along.

The sad misfortune of the American people circa 2017 and beyond partially lies in the flaws and failings of the man who now plays the role of our nation's knight in tarnished shining armor.

Horoscope: March 20, 2015 Solar Eclipse in Pisces--sneaks, leaks, and veils

Spring Equinox 2015 Brings a Pisces Solar Eclipse Conjunct Starry Scheat

It's a rare Spring Equinox (Aries Ingress) that includes a Solar Eclipse as we have on March 20, 2015 with the Sun reaching Aries Point at 6:45:29 pm EDT. Yet the horoscope image here is actually the Pisces Solar Eclipse set for the White House, Washington DC and perfecting at 5:36:09 am EDT:

As you see, the solar-lunar perfection occurs during a Mars Hour with planet Mars in its own sign @21Ari35 in the 2nd house of the National Treasury, Earnings, and Values. Mars rules the 2nd house via Aries and also the 9th house (viaScorpio) of Philosophy, Religion, Higher Learning, Foreign Lands and Long Distance Travel. Here transit Mars is seen leaving Uranus after their conjunction of March 11, 2015 @15Ari00 conjunct Fixed Star Alpheratz (Alpha Andromeda) which Reinhold Ebertin calls 'Sirrah' and Arabian astrologers, Al Surrat al Faras. This star links to a love of freedom and movement, an independent spirit, and the 'sheer joy of wind in your hair' (Brady). Rigor links Alpheratz to 'princess imagery' and adds potentials for 'wealth, honor, cheer, and a love of life'.

A square by manipulator and Hidden Hand Pluto to both Mars and Uranus in conjunction heavily imprints the beginning of their combined energies' new cycle with potentials continuing for societal unrest and riots, violence, explosions, attacks, and military actions. In Politics and Business, the Mars-Uranus pair's influences may include reforms within a nation's military, modernization of energy or steel industries, exploitation of energy resources, radical movements involving military or police forces, rebellions against modernization efforts, and sudden outbreaks of hostility (Munkasey). Unpopularity, toppled leadership, and/or revolution may also occur when Alpheratz is contacted by a malefic planet--and mythological Mars is the 'god of war' while Uranus is America's planet of revolution and war.

Now I won't bore you further by adding links to current headlines since you already know of the tinderbox politicians and their enablers have plunked our world into in this, the much-lauded 'New Millennium.'

And what of Fixed Star Scheat (Beta Pegasus) which the March 20th Solar Eclipse @29Pis27 stimulates into expression? Scheat is known as a difficult or turbulent star with potentials for 'misfortune, drowning, suicide, and possibly murder' (DeVore). Yet it also links to the concept of a 'love of intellect' and being 'a thinker' (Brady) which sounds much better, doesn't it?

However, Scheat was prominent in many ancient cultures during humanity's matriarchal goddess-worhipping era and the star was seen by the Greeks as being born from Medusa's neck as she was slain by Perseus. Constellation Pegasus is near another ancient constellation, Equuleus ('The Little Horse') and both point toward the gradual change from matriarchal beliefs into the patriarchal system we're in today though I won't say that idolatry of the feminine form (goddess) isn't a major component in today's societies (exs: Hollywood films, church statues, our Venusian Lady Liberty) with some of the weirder practices of old still hidden but now venturing to peep out from behind her alabaster hem.

Perhaps some of the 'hidden messages' to be uncovered by the Solar Eclipse in Pisces (sign of mysteries, secrets, crimes, and military generals) will relate to unusual worship practices and anti-social oaths taken by those of the ruling class who have not been suspected before (time for white power 'hoods off'?) Or, with an eclipse's usual 'wild card' tendency for suddenly revealing or leaking what some wish would stay hidden, the revelations will simply involve the typical foibles of the human race from the sexual to political to financial and back again. As a former resident of the District of Columbia (a Venusian goddess!), I have often mentioned here that DC runs on blackmail and bribery but that's gray-whiskered news for most of us.

Now with Venus unaspected, we may expect skewed perspectives to be prominent for aspects to other planets (actors) would provide Venusian folk with input from the outer environment. Here, the evaluating function of Venus is impaired and since she's posited in one of her own signs of Taurus, economists, and bulls of Wall Street are potentially represented. Fedhead Janet Yellen is an obvious choice to play this Venusian role though mega-financiers and well-funded politicians of the female persuasion may be noted as well for having a 'lack of perspective'. (Note that Venus is at '4 Taurus' = "The Rainbow's Pot of Gold" degree where Chiron was first discovered in 1977; this gives a materialism vs spirituality hue to the picture especially since a Pisces eclipse spotlights a need for karmic progress where materialism is second to the needs of humanity. Someone please explain this to the Republican Party).

As for the dove symbol that meshes with goddess symbols such as Columbia, Venus-Aphrodite, Isis, and the rest of the gang, you may have noticed the degree of the eclipse's Ascendant and its Sabian Symbol...'20AQ' = "A Big White Dove, a Message Bearer." This image may refer to persons such as an orators, writers, or reporters, or to the Solar Eclipse itself. And I'm certain you can think of other possibilities--like the fact that the eclipse Ascendant is within one degree of the natal Ascendant of President Obama (August 4, 1961 7:24 pm AHST Honolulu, Hawaii). Well, he is the one in charge of the 'bully pulpit' for two more years.

A Bully Pulpit with Hidden Messages Intercepted?

Perhaps you'll agree that the chart is weighted on the secretive (and possibly the spiritual) side with all but two planets in the hidden half of the chart below the horizon. And of course, a Solar Eclipse is a New Moon indicating that the light has yet to brighten and it's been the 'dark of the Moon' for about three days prior.

And so my chart title 'hidden messages' refers to several chart factors such as the eight planets in the private portion of chart, the abundance of secretive Pisces (rising), and the fact that this is a South Node eclipse when energies tend to rush out of the environment; plus, SN denotes past actions 'catching up' with us in the present--they are refusing to remain hidden or neglected. The critical-crisis 29th degree of the eclipse hints that though many people want to rush into Cardinal Aries along with the Spring season, they cannot do so successfully until the past is dealt with in the here-and-now.

A 1st house Chiron (18Pis01), the be-here-now centaur and priestly mentor, concurs for much karmic progress may be achieved once baggage is handled responsibly and reparations are made for past mistakes so that forward movement may reliably occur. Adding to the chart's Neptunian complexity, the Solar Eclipse set for DC is in an intercepted sign which provides even more of a karmic must-be-dealt-with nature to events inspired by the eclipse energies. Falling in the 2nd house, we naturally think of the Fed and the 2015 Congress and any attempts to deal with past errors in judgment in the realms of finance, budget and tax cuts, and other resources such as the energy resources mentioned above regarding the Mars-Uranus meeting on March 11th.

Solar Eclipse at '30 Pisces' = "The Great Stone Face": Archetypalization

A Pisces eclipse also emphasizes that esoteric and mystical secrets, codes, or carvings may be discovered and/or clarified perhaps at archaeological digs such as New Grange. Adding more inspirational influence, magical Neptune in its own sign is first planet to rise in the chart which may also denote confusing, deceptive, watery, stormy, tearful, or dissolving conditions in effect around the time of the Spring Equinox--or for two weeks prior and months afterwards. Plus, the Veiled One's nearness to message-deliverer Mercury @11Pis--planet of writers, speakers, journalists, bloggers, internet users, traders, travelers, students, teachers, and young people--may show high inspiration but also woolly thinking with a large potential for fantasy, falsehoods, and scandals to emerge.

Meanwhile, surveillance agencies continue their shady dealings against the innocent, spies infiltrate, and hackers sabotage. It seems reasonable that Edward Snowden will speak out again or that more NSA files will come to light.

Can natural or man made disasters affecting large numbers of people be ruled out in the eclipse chart? Sadly no, and there's that karmic planet Saturn on full display at the top of the chart--is an elderly Justice or congress member stepping down or retiring this year? On an another level, hardened Saturn rules austerity measures (sequestration) but also earth, soil, tectonic plates, calcification, walls, boundaries, and loss that's been a long time coming. Is Saturn in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius a shout-out to immigration issues? How about America's social safety net about to go further under the GOP ideological knife? Maybe so. Maybe all of the above. Funding wars and lining pockets remain no problem, however.

We do know that Jupiter @13Leo10 Rx in the 6th house relates to the planet's many roles such as The General, the Politician, the Corporatist, the Priest, the Lawyer, the Broadcaster, the Professor, the Banker--and 6th house is the house of work, health, and military and police service. Jupiter Rx is within orb of Mr. Obama's natal Sun once again and rules the 10th house of Public Status so any of the president's expansive projects and programs will continue to affect his public standing and political career as 2015 unfolds and Republicans balk. Hopefully, we can all patiently hold on until generous Jupiter turns Direct on April 8th and moves forward beyond Rx shadow degree in July 2015.

Mercury: '11Pisces' = "Men Seeking Illumination"

Communicator Mercury is apex planet in a YOD pattern ('Finger of God') if we don't mind including the North Node in sextile with Jupiter Rx. Typical YODs have a health connotation along with a crossroads-crisis-turning-point-special-task reputation that hints at a timing issue (time to speak up or blow whistles?) so we'll know as Spring 2015 proceeds if this particular YOD pattern should be counted as one at all.

Even if not, there are clues within a midpoint picture created by the Jupiter-NN-Mercury trio which identifies Mercury as researchers in fields such as Politics, Jurisprudence, or Religion; Jupiter-NN adds conventional religion to the possibilities along with obvious hypocrisy, antisocial conduct, and potential revelations about secret alliances, advantageous relationships, and/or trade pacts. (The shady TPP deal comes to mind for it is on Washington's agenda, secret giveaway though it is. Protecting a sovereign America? Puh! Not with these globalist jokers).

Apex Mercury is also seeking higher education so student loans and various university and college issues may be indicated. Perhaps Yale's secret society 'Skull and Bones' will be in the news even more now that Jeb Bush is running in 2016 and his grandfather Prescott had a role in the alleged theft of Geronimo's skull (and who knows what other schemes. How perplexing that many of our leaders since the 1800s became 'bonesmen' such as Dubya and John Kerry...ew! To me, S and B is a death cult.)

Now in Politics and Business, the Jupiter-NN duo suggests such things as closed legal societies, a justice system hampered or bound by erroneous decisions about the status of groups or parties (Corporations Are People, Citizens United, etc), and/or consequences that issue from treaties with allies (TPP?); religious leaders may interfere in legal matters or decisions and imports can disrupt business or trade (Munkasey). Perhaps researcher Mercury will reveal secrets concerning a few of these matters to the people's advantage.

Now let's consider a few more chart factors before closing (you must be tired!)

A primary factor, of course, is any applying aspects made by the chart-ruler/s--here with Aquarius rising, Saturn and Uranus are up. Establishment Saturn @4Sag54 Rx is Angular but past its conjunction with the eclipse MC (The Goal) indicating a condition or event that has already occurred (by March 20th).

On one level, Saturn-MC may tally somewhat with transit Saturn recently in late Scorpio crossing the natal MC of Barack Obama, a time of increased status as past efforts and hard work pay off. However, this betterment brings more responsibilities--as long as others are not blamed for one's failures and lapses. Saturn's 28-year transit to natal MC is partially the basis for the president's recent improvement in popularity along with improvements in the US economy, job creation, troops 'leaving' Afghanistan, releasing more prisoners from Gitmo, and lower gas prices in the US. Its influence will occur for the president again during Saturn's back up into Scorpio.

(I won't list the DOW closing over 18,000 points for the first time this year since presidents have very little if anything to do with it and it's merely a Wall Street bubble of speculation anyway. Besides, I never forget the primary planetary imprint upon the presidency of Barack Obama: the Great Conjunction/s of the speculator-wastrel pair, Jupiter and Neptune, which occurred three times during 2009--all conjunct US natal Moon (We the People) and spotlighting the 2008 Bush-Cheney Heist and Wall Street's mortgage and derivatives frauds which the 'Voo Doo' GOP now bring back to life to vulture upon the American people. In addition, eclipse Saturn and Neptune, the combo of ill, poor, and weak people, square one another denoting blockages and restrictions to our social programs and possibly to Obamacare as well--see Jupiter Rx in 6th house, above.)

Then What Do Eclipse Saturn and Uranus Say?

So how might things proceed from the March 20, 2015 Solar Eclipse as Spring begins to flower? In this chart, the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square is waning (exact for the last time on March 16, 2015--still inspiring unrest but thankfully not at critical degrees) and there is no applying aspect by disruptive Uranus to Neptune to consider in the chart. That leaves us with Saturn, ruler of Aquarius: though in dissociate signs (Sagittarius to Pisces--square--rather than a Sag-Aries trine), the Lesson Bringer trines the Sun and Moon (5A26) which lends support to the reparation imperative of the Pisces eclipse by providing mature reliability and an acceptance of responsibility which ties in with the karmic implications of reaping what's been sown.

The Pisces eclipse's Saros Series is the 17 South with themes of 'good news; success in group projects and creative endeavors; happiness in love matters' (paraphrasing Predictive Astrology, Brady). A varied list of people and events were born or begun under the vibrations of the 17S Series and the March 20th eclipse alerts us to a potential for secrets to be revealed concerning any of them or their interests.

My 17S list includes: Princess Diana, Ayn Rand, Adolf Hitler, Newt Gingrich, Heath Ledger, Rachel Carson, Christopher Walken (Natalie Wood's drowning death?), Barbara Bush (or son Jeb?), Tim Roth, the initial visit of "R. C. Christian" to an Elberton Georgia bank and granite quarry in order to set up the construction of the mysterious Georgia Guidestones. And there are two more in my files: Iran (1979), and President Barack Obama.

As for Sagittarius and Pisces, their natural 90-degree square relationship reminds me of Scheat in winged Pegasus for the constellation forms a great square in the heavens--and a square's quality of 4 relates to the paternalism already mentioned, above. Plus, Sagittarius is the sign of the horse--or, more specifically, the half-horse/half-man of the centaur.

Aug 27, 2013: Jupiter to US natal Sun (conjunct Sirius)

Here you see a horoscope for the transit of Jupiter to America's natal Sun (the president; leader) @13Can19:21 conjunct Fixed Star *Sirius (14Can26) in the 2nd house of the National Treasury, Values, and Earning Ability (when the horoscope is set for Washington DC).

This conjunction perfects on Tuesday August 27, 2013 at 11:53 pm edt during a Venus Hour with both Venus and Jupiter known as 'money planets' and the Sun @5Vir01 in 4th house and about to conjoin President Obama's natal Pluto, a time when one is compelled to 'get to the bottom of things' and aggressive people who have this transit become pushier and more intense. Self-control and the uses and abuses of power are at issue and there are feelings of resentment toward those who ultimately control things and/or manipulate outcomes or events.

US natal Uranus rises bringing unexpected or shocking events, and/or, coping ability, and chart-ruler Mercury @8Vir14 applies only to a trine with 8th house Pluto @9Cap07 Rx showing debts or favors repaid, lost items found, and shrewd business deals in process; property assessments are likely to be favorable and info and/or intell gathering is successful though Pluto's Rx condition may cause some delays or glitches in 4th house (Real Estate; Security Issues) and/or 8th house matters (Debt, Credit, Insurance, Corporate Concerns, Shared Resources, Death Matters, Transformation, the Occult...the usual 8th h suspects.)

Midpoint pictures are formed by the four planets and include potentials for getting back on track, overturning tables (of the money-lenders? that would be brilliant!), intense efforts made to establish new perspectives, ruthlessness, power struggles that cause losses in relationships, quick responses, a 'crush the opposition' mindset, adventurousness, and excitability (Tyl; Ebertin.)

So What Does Transit Jupiter to US Natal Sun Indicate?

Meanwhile, as noted in my recent 12-year USA Jupiter Return 2013 Report (which may be ordered for electronic delivery from this blog's sidebar!), transit Jupiter conjoining natal Sun is a time of culmination when something begun 12 years ago must either end or move to the next level or stage. Such matters are forced by circumstances so important decisions must be made. A greater attainment of knowledge is in the works as well along with an expanded need for ego recognition.

For 'attainment of knowledge' we naturally we think first of the NSA domestic spying activities which didn't actually begin 12 years ago but were greatly increased and enhanced then by the passage and signing of the USA Patriot Act and, thanks to Edward Snowden's leaks, are now known to be much broader in scope than we were told. And there's the propagandistic 'war on terror' which was and is used to emotionally manipulate the American people along with false flag ops that have been used in the past (and present) to finagle and trick us into war.

Plus, Jupiter is known as the broadcaster so wouldn't it be amazing if the news media finally stopped touting the fraudulent government script about the 'war on terror' and got real about the roles of banksters in our Fed-owned economy and the crimes of the other scam artists and embezzlers of Washington DC--you know, the psychopathic 'politicians' who breach the public trust 24/7 in order to enrich themselves and their pals and hang on to their cushy positions of power?

And maybe the President and Eric Holder of the US Department of Justice will receive a beneficial boost from Jupiter around August 27th given the recent rhetoric which promises (one of Jupiter's functions) more activity on the Voting Rights Act enforcement issue.

Year 2001 + 12 years = 2013

We must also consider the turn of the *New Millennium when the 'seeding' of the 'new world order' (aka, a 'new age') was performed by the Clintons at the illuminated, phallic Washington Monument for the 1999-into-2000 New Year celebration. Perhaps you remember that there was at the time quite a bit of hair-splitting about whether the 21st Century began on January 1, 2000, or on January 1, 2001.

The Mystery of Boehner's Plan B and a Temporary YOD

A Saturnian YOD, a Selfish Republican Ploy, and a Merry Christmas! to Us

After hours of watching political pundits and reporters talking on TV about how Speaker John Boehner will put up his 'Plan B' for a House vote today, I've been waiting to hear them answer their own queries: Why is Mr. Boehner wasting time (and our money) proposing Plan B when it won't pass the Democratic Senate?What is he up to?

If any pundits have mentioned or written about the reason for Plan B, I've missed it and believe the answer to the Mystery of Plan B is found in Boehner's remarks: that if Plan B isn't agreed to by President Obama, then HE will be the one who is "responsible" for the biggest tax increase" on the American people in US history...not Republicans who, it has been often said since the November re-election of Barack Obama, will be held responsible for driving our nation off the (artificially engineered) 'fiscal cliff' if the White House won't compromise.

He said it himself! So can Boehner's cynical political ploy be any clearer? Won't any political expert on my TV state the obvious? Does the good of the country figure into the deal for the GOP at all?

Well, I wanted to get that said before I popped but have little time today for Political Astrology blogging so I'll simply add a few notes: no matter what occurs in Washington DC today, all day the Sun (leadership) remains at 29Sag+ (29 = a crisis degree), with its Sabian Symbol for '30Sag': "The Pope Blessing the Faithful." Now I don't even want to go there. Where? Where the Vatican might have any say in America's budget/fiscal negotiations of 2012. You can't make me (!) but you might imagine for yourself.

And with the Moon (We the People; publicity) in Mars-ruled Aries today, tempers may flair. Plus, the Sun-Moon blend of energies may lend a smidgeon of flavor to whatever occurs this December 20, 2012:

Sun Sag-Moon Ari (double Fire = volatile, hot, dramatic) tends toward a dislike for details (maybe ALEC can write something for our bought-off 'lawmakers'--again), a neurotic need to be affirmed as "the biggest and best" (politics!), insensitivity when listening to others (if they listen at all), impatience, courage, and falling into black moods when things don't go their way.

And with a temporary YOD pattern between Moon-Jupiter-Saturn joining the current Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter Rx YOD, the planet on the 'hotseat' (YOD's apex) is constricting Saturn which happens to be conjoining President Obama's natal Neptune in Scorpio.

Now Alan Oken gives a Moon-Jupiter sextile as the 'ray of hope' aspect (I know, because there's one in my natal chart and he consulted with me on it)--and I believe I've heard that phrase used by pundits this week already though it seems impossible that Plan B is that hope--especially since the Moon-Jupiter sextile is the base of a YOD pointing to Saturn and to the president's natal Neptune.

The midpoint pictures the temporary YOD pattern creates may be quite revealing--see what you think:

Moon-Jupiter = Saturn: interference through outside restrictions; becoming distant from important emotions.

Moon-Jupiter = BHO's n Neptune: losing focus of objectives; success feels like its leaving one's grasp.

Well, I hope that President Obama doesn't 'lose the plot' and succumb to the GOP 'Plan B' attempt to make the White House the scape goat for America going off the 'fiscal cliff' come 12:00 am New Year's Day 2013. Besides, the public knows who's most to blame and their initials are GOP.

Oh, and the Harveys give two 'Images for Integration' in their Sun Sign-Moon Sign book to describe the Sun Sag-Moon Ari combo so I'll close with them and with two quotes from someone who shares the blend natally:

Astrology of a Downgrade with YOD Emphasis on Crisis

In her insightful Weekend Forecast for August 5, 6, and 7, Julie Demboski notes a Moon/Jupiter opposition on August 5, 2011 and wonders, "Will it be a face-off with society?"

Well yes, it was, good call! Announced on Friday afternoon, NY's Standard and Poor's agency downgraded the US credit rating to AA+, the first downgrade in US history (click for full S&P report.)

A political call? Well,'protracted partisan squabbling over the debt limit' is cited:

NPR BREAKING NEWS: S&P Downgrades U.S. Credit Rating S&P downgraded the U.S. credit rating for the first time in history on Friday. The rating was lowered by one notch to AA+ from AAA due to political risks and a rising debt burden.

It's unclear what the downgrade may lead to for our borrowing and interest rates and such, but see the horoscope below for a huge hint of its potential outcome--look for your personal loan costs to go up. The G-7 is meeting, ostensibly to 'head off' market turmoil next week but theirs may be wasted effort. Of course, I was one astrologer--and former resident of DC--who said after Mr. Obama won the presidency: no one in Washington will cooperate with him if he works on behalf of the people. But sometimes you just want to be wrong.

Interestingly, economist Robert Reich takes a different view of S&P's actions on Friday and I heartily agree with the Professor who lays a good part of the blame on S&P malfeasance leading up to 2008.

Damn the Torpedoes!

So, my fellow Americans: are you making plans now to vote GOP in 2012? No? Then I must agree with you on your decision since I fault the Republican Party's success-at-any-cost tactics of ensuring President Obama's failure no matter what it does to the nation, the US economy, or to the American people's finances and prospects.

Plus, moral bankruptcy of the Republican Party may also be implied in the progressed chart but that's a post for another day--and you don't need Astrology to tell you that, do you?

Word is, S&P had been warning politicians of a downgrade for six months--basically for all of 2011 as the debt limit/default debate got underway and Republicans/Tea Partisans and their billionaire masters mounted what they think is their winning hand for taking over the White House on January 21, 2013 (Jan 20th will be a Sunday this time which results in quite a different Inauguration Horoscope 2013 than it would for Jan 20.)

Meanwhile, at the White House

Now the US Treasury Department went over the documents that S&P sent over on Friday afternoon and swears there's been a $2 trillion "mathematical mistake" but we'll have to see how the dispute plays out. My suspicion is that S&P will stand firm on the downgrade though why anyone should trust a US rating agency at all is a mystery to me after their mushy culpability leading up to Financial Collapse 2008. (Of course, 2008 was a manufactured criminal endeavor of which 2011's political Debt Ceiling/Default Theater is a part---we're dealing with brigands and thieves on all sides here.)

And as previously noted on this blog, the current karmic Solar Eclipse of July 1, 2011 @ 9Can12 falls snugly between US natal Sun and Jupiter heralding trouble for leadership (Sun) and financial matters (Jupiter); the effects of the Cancer eclipse will be ongoing at least until the next Solar Eclipse of November 25, 2011 @ '2Sag', though it is not a very positive portent either, sad to say.

Karma Note: as a Saturnian astrologer I don't 'do' past lives at all so when I refer to 'karmic' I mean the natural law of the Universe that everyone--and every nation--must reap what is sown. As we know, debt, despair, loss, corruption, and fraud are what the American government has sown. And we-the-people are the ones tasked with picking the spoiled fruit thereof, never the rich who set up the fraud and benefited beyond all reason. But spiritually speaking, not to fret for this is only a temporary advantage for the deluded miscreants and criminals, both high and low!


Republican Party Progressions July 29, 2011: Sec YOD = "Bankruptcy"

On the afternoon of July 29, during the height of the political impasse in Washington, I became curious about the Secondary Progressions of the Republican Party and here the 'crisis' I found:




A YOD pattern is a 'Finger of God' configuration with 'special task or purpose; crossroads/turning point/crisis' implications. In the Sabian Symbols, '28 Gemini' = BANKRUPTCY which you see here on the Ascendant, the WHAT? Point of any chart.

An 8th H Sec Jupiter 28Cap16 conjoins US natal Pluto, and Sec Mercury 28Sco27 conjoins US Inaugural Moon of January 20, 2009. This Sec Mercury also conjoins President Obama's natal Midheaven (MC = Aspirations; Career; Public Standing), and the R Party's natal 12th house Moon (see below for Rs' natal chart details.)

S&P is "making a political statement" and says "there's no political appetite for raising revenue" as reported by NPR (click article link, above, or the S&P link.) Now this kind of spins my noggin around since the S&P 'voice' is issuing from NYC where Wall Street operates its giant casino--wha-a-a? The big dog$ want tax revenues to increase to ease our debt crisis? Tax the rich, can we? Well, if the GOP would swallow the expiring of Bush tax cuts, if big corporations paid their fair share in taxes and created jobs in the US again, then most if not all of our revenue troubles would be disappear. Loving America, I'd be game for that. Are you, dear reader?

There is a midpoint picture formed by the YOD:

Mercury/Jupiter = ASC: an ability to arrange things skillfully; organizing talent; successful meetings and teamwork; discussions about how to communicate; a repression of opinions. (Ebertin; Munkasey.) Sounds like Mercury/Jupiter's grand schemes/plans and political strategy sessions to me--with US Bankruptcy on tap.

In Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets, Michael Munkasey lists the Politics and Business potentials for the Mercury/Jupiter combo of energies:

Thesis: plans for expansion and growth (of GOP influence, anyway--jc); discussion of business or legal affairs, and religious or philosophical ideals. (Ye olde 'America as Utopia' plan from centuries ago rears its ugly idealistic head again: Uranus now in Aries = Utopians--jc.)

Antithesis: a budget strained by too much expansion or inflation (ya think? jc); legal decisions that affect commerce or transportation; religion censures scholarship; religious leaders with desires to assume political power.

(Here I should add the usual "any, all, or none may apply" but I won't because they all seem to describe our situation, imho, though of course you may disagree.)


In transits for July 29, 2011 there was another YOD within the environment between plutocratic Pluto/Chiron (in sextile--60 degrees) pointing toward the Sun 6Leo12 (@ noon) which also happens to conjoin US natal North Node (NN = destiny; future direction.) Now I do tend to use the Pluto/Chiron duo in mundane horoscopes to keep tabs on global-transnational corporations since the pair indicates: corporatism, capitalism, fascism, racism, (and other -isms), disenfranchisement, primal violence, and oppression in general.

Another transit that applies to our debt-default-downgrade tale is Jupiter in Taurus (see chart) which lies between the GOP Sec Uranus/Pluto midpoint. This will continue for quite some time since Jupiter will perform a retrograde station, eventually move forward again, and thus remain within the purview of the Rs' Uranus/Pluto midpoint...the combo of Uranus/Pluto = revolution, upheavals that change government, disruption of processes (yep!), movements intent on forcing changes, and sudden new criminal acts' (Munkasey.) Here's the picture--all may apply:

Sec Uranus/Pluto = tr Jupiter: added insights into legal and political processes are used for expressing ideas about reform and change; excessively strong feelings about imposing major changes into many paths of life; immense success (congratulations on our downgrade--jc); pursuit of religious or philosophical objectives; striving for social improvements (which are apparently in the eye of the anti-Obama beholder--jc.)

Of course, Uranus and Pluto now square one another by transit in active, initiating Cardinal signs, a cyclical period issuing from their Great Conjunction/s of the mid-1960s with similar uprisings/protests/strikes/rebellion/Civil Rights matters returning for societal resolution, if possible. These intense planets come closest to an exact square (partile) on August 8, 2011--the very Monday they're concerned about Asian markets' reactions to the the US downgrade. Mars continues his out-of-bounds activities--not playing ball with the other planets (actors) and cantankerous in Moon-ruled Cancer, as always. Click link to view the chart set for DC.


Calling All Mavericks and Sacred Warriors!

Around the GOP's Sec 8th cusp of Debt, Credit, Insurance, Corporations, Big Business, Legacies, Transformation, the Occult, and Death, is a trio of interest: Jupiter, as noted in the YOD, wounding/wounded Chiron 19Cap31 with Hermes (a trickster element with alchemical talents and an Egyptian tinge), and activist Mars 15Cap46, all focused, efficient, and exalted in Capricorn, sign of Government, Law, and Business.

The Mars/Chiron pair is the 'sacred warrior' archetype, an ego inflation you might have to have in order to crash the American economy for what you believe to be a 'higher cause'...in this case, a New World Order where those select few at the top 'lord it over' the rest of us.

Jupiter/Chiron intensifies the warrior mentality with strong convictions (Jupiter) which they feel great compulsion to communicate to everyone; their inner world is numinous to a point of denying outer realities--but is the US credit downgrade a wake-up call for the GOP-TP? Their abundant arrogance and know-it-all attitude makes this doubtful--in similar fashion to how they deny that their violent rhetoric inspires freaky shooters to take action based on how they perceive the GOP's stated ideals.

Basically, Jupiter conjunct Chiron is "a maverick with a superiority complex who listens very little to others." (Clow) A tendency to project negative traits upon others which denies them in oneself is prevalent with this conjunction and is a typical political maneuver.

Now a word about the degrees around which the Mars/Chiron pair is snugged and the 8th cusp degree: '18 Capricorn' is the telling degree of the New World Order for its where Uranus and Neptune met in 1993 at their last Great Conjunction/s...

" '18Cap' = "The Union Jack Flag Flies from a British Destroyer"...POLITICAL POWER, its values and its dangers...

Keynote: The protection afforded to individuals and groups by powerful institutions in charge of maintaining order. Alas, this power can easily be misused under the pretext of preserving 'law and order'."(Rudhyar.)

Marc Edmund Jones adds:

"positive expression: the self's ever-widening spread of interest in its insatiable desire to leave some permanent imprint of itself on everything it touches;

negative (unconscious/shadow side--jc): smug or strong-armed paternalism."

Now if the US credit downgrade of August 5, 2011 amounts to big trouble for America and the American people, I know that the Republican and Tea Parties will attempt to paint its taint upon the presidency of Barack Obama--and to some degree this may be deserved.

But this dissenting DAR American hereby gives notice with this post showing the progressed horoscope of the GOP and its 'Bankruptcy' implication that I, for one, will always primarily fault Republican leadership (plus, any Dem enablers and the Tea Partisans) for what has transpired as they do their darnedest to collapse the economy of the United States of America and (they hope) blame Pres. Obama for it because they and their corporate NWO masters believe they can rebuild upon ruins a global model of a Utopian society of chaos and total control.

As if that could be an improvement!

Some Notes on the Republican Party Natal Chart

Power-mad Pluto 3Tau36 ('4Tau' = "A Rainbow's Pot of Gold") is unaspected in 5th house so Mr. Underworld manipulates from an ivory tower somewhere; there are no planetary patterns, but two natal midpoint pictures:

Sun/Neptune = Uranus 15Tau18 (the stubborn Oxen Point): sudden upsets or spasms; emotional crisis; mourning; visualization and dreaming about Astrology (!); adjustment of old dreams to fit newly developing situations; upsets caused by ignoring reality while dreaming; indifference toward others while inwardly escaping (to Bohemian Grove for an annual romp? jc.)

Saturn/NN = Venus 5Gem13: a lack of adaptability.

Rushing Back to Washington!

The R Party's 8th H Mercury 10Leo05 was eclipsed by the August 1, 2008
Beijing Solar Eclipse (chart shown) which occurred during China's Olympic Games (remember their massive earthquake?) and was a harbinger of the staged financial crisis in the US when John McCain (whose natal Mercury was eclipsed as well) rushed back to 'rescue the economy' after dramatically 'suspending' his presidential campaign. Also eclipsed was George W. Bush's natal Mercury, and that of the NYSE, too--by the 10 South--'breaking out of a very negative situation where no options can be seen; worries suddenly clear; the solution is shown by the Cosmos (bwo their use of Astrology? jc) and must be taken up without delay.' (Paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

The August 2008 eclipse manifested near Mr. Obama's natal Sun as well with a two-degree orb.

Of note is China's involvement in 2008 and their remarks now on the US being "addicted to debt"--then why did they make it possible? Any ulterior motives toward a NWO, China?

Apparently, undermining the Democratic presidency of Barack Obama is the best the GOP could come up with in 2008 for they saw the writing on the political wall after eight economically disastrous years of warhawk Republicans, Bush and Cheney. But nothing they do against Pres. Obama--and by extension, us--can hide their financial culpability from me for collapse and bankruptcy are their desperate plan. Funny, isn't it, that Bankrupting America is the stated objective for the attacks of 9/11, as stated by Osama bin Laden...and 9/11's Moon @ '28Gem' = "Bankruptcy", as noted many times previously on this blog and elsewhere.

Well, there's a lot more to say about the Astrology of the Republican Party, natal and progressed. But this is all I can take of the sorry varmints at the moment so I'll be moseying along with a hope of not thinking about them the rest of the weekend, if I can possibly manage it.

The YOD of a Senate Test Vote 7.31.11

Well, it's been "Code Red" for a majority of Americans for years now. And unless we hear otherwise, the US Senate is set to vote today at 1:00 pm edt on the Democratic version of a draconian spending cut bill that will allow a raising of the US debt ceiling, another act in the Political Default Theater on Capitol Hill meant to usher in by power elites a new form of government over the heads and deepest wishes of the American people.

Even a mini-Congress (aka, a 'Super Congress') may emerge out of this debt-default squabble of ideologies with a sinister-flavored Solar Eclipse occurring in November 2011.


Astrology: July 31, 2011 1:00 pm edt Capitol Hill DC

At 1:00 pm edt in Washington DC, rising is a 29th degree of crisis: 29Libr42 which makes Venus 3Leo48 (still within orb of President Obama's natal Mercury 2:20) the ruler of the chart and the senatorial test vote; Venus conjoins MC 4Leo48, with Sun 8Leo09 approaching Mr. Obama's natal Sun on August 4th ('13Leo'.)

Our economy worsens as I type, according to political talking heads on TV so let's take a peek at the horoscope.

Telling us how things will proceed from this dramatic test vote are the applying aspects of evaluating Venus, chart-ruler, which are as follows:

1. inconjunct Chiron (0A27; Mr. Obama's Chiron Return has begun--5 'hits' in total)
2. trine Uranus (0A35; in Aries, Uranus = radical Utopians--Ebertin)
3. conjunct MC (0A49)
4. inconj Pluto (1A35; the dragon; global crime syndicate; ruling elite; the Pope)
5. square Jupiter (5A08; money and finances, gurus, preachers, generals, and the GOP blocking--squaring--events)


As you see, the infamous 'bumpy ride' may be little softened by today's proposed test vote even though the US Senate of 'philosophers' and deep thinkers (Republican Tom Coburn and Democrat John Kerry--if he can keep from interrupting himself into ditherhood--are about it as near the cream of the crop, as near as i can tell) are the American people's last and best hope for solution.

Venus square Jupiter indicates *carelessness when attending to responsibilities (a studied carelessness, in this case), generosity shown but only for ulterior motives, and a lack of perspective when setting priorities. The favoring of the top 2% income "earners" is an obvious problem as the North Node (the public) insists on a fairer balancing--of income ratio in America, of accounts, and of societal changes to favor we-the-people.

Venus inconjunct (quincunx) Pluto is significant with its 'adjustment' vibe, an overburdening in financial matters, and all sorts of negative elements creeping into this crisis situation; a lack of responsibility and a general sense of unaccountability adds confusion to the endeavor as the wrong people are made to pay for what others should. (Ex: social welfare for the rich continues as their private debts are collectivized upon the backs of we-the-people--the monarchists ride again!)

Drastic Cutting of Our Social Program Spending Will Ruin the Economy...but make Wall Streeters and foreign investors exultant!

Some arguments for allowing the balancing now being called for by Fixed Star Ras Alhague (conjunct NN = destiny; future direction) are that it is the morally upright thing to do (as opposed to setting millions of people up to suffer and die while fatcats get richer), and because we'd like to keep a decent semblance of our United States of America without 'radical Utopian' (Uranus 4Ari23 Rx in 5th house of Risk-Taking and Gambling--we're utter fools if we let them usurp this country more than before!) wolves over-running the henhouse and fundamentally transforming this nation into a wild-west style Zoo of Zealots.

At 1:00 pm, there is a planetary pattern called a Mystic Rectangle ('practical mysticism'--our Masonic Capitol Building and White House--secret rituals are afoot)) in the air over Capitol Hill involving Mercury, Pluto, Mars, and Chiron.

Yes, the debt-default situation depends upon 'Old Guard' statesmanlike senators (if we still have any) besting the radical Tea Party wing of the GOP...old v young, status quo v a radical reformist brand of sabotage using a tactic I have to call Treason being perpetrated by those insistent on collapsing America to make an ideological point (and grab the helm and 'rebuild anew upon ruins'--ruins that we're in process of seeing them create!

YOD, aka, Finger of God, a Fated Turning

But the US economy's crisis-critical condition is shown most clearly in the YOD pattern which has been in effect for some days now--Pluto sextile Chiron at its base, and her pointing to an apex Venus (and MC) denoting alienated persons who are awkwardly out-of-touch with the rest of society. Apex Venus in a YOD configuration does show much inner reflection and analysis as people are driven toward the cultivation--either positively or negatively--of collective values.

The destined crossroads of the YOD indicates a fated turning point which may be catalyzed (by typical catalyst Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries--the Tea Party freely admits that without its forcing behavior--Uranus = behavior--Washington would not be having this 'debate' now) by sudden realization (Uranus = The Awakener; The Witness) of an encompassing social goal of great magnitude.

Having a decided influence on the value systems of others and the reorganization of the US government are part of the ambitious drive of this apex Venus with the plutocracy's (Pluto/Chiron) sextile at the base of their operations along with the wealth that Pluto/Chiron implies and which backs this movement to over throw the US government and toss us backward to Pluto/Chiron feudalism.

As Far As America Can Expand

We're straining against those two patterns now rather than accepting the karmic, natural law that even America must honor in the end (karma to me is reaping what was sown.) Our government's traditional arrogance and preening overreach makes that difficult thus setting up the scenario for a fall from grace which supports the tragedy of having a 10th house Saturn whose financial lessons are now being learned the hard way yet with the wrong people paying for our mistakes and the wealthy pulling another 'fast one', the US will buckle without the middle class prevailing.)



So if federal spending is rolled back in 2011 to a specific date and a more sensible amount, a date earlier in 2008 would do enough of a trick to buck up our nation for now--putting us on a realistic path--so that the more intimate details for cutting, spending, and taxing may be discussed with cooler heads prevailing than the current rhetorical flourishes of fools, knaves, and corporate-manipulated newbies in Congress who now threaten a majority of the American people with certain demise and despair.

Raise the debt ceiling and accept humbly the lowering of our government's AAA credit
rating, I'm not happy to say, for we've been allowed more credit than we deserve for quite some time. 'Coming down to earth with a bump' is difficult, but isn't all bad if you can learn its Saturnian lessons and plan for them.

My wish is that we take the fork in the (YOD) road that reins in America's out-of-balance budget, curtails fraud (if only Congress would return to its oversight duties, both Houses--Saturn Return!), and identifies and reduces waste wherever found, while supporting the American people whose taxes on earnings need a huge jobs-creation boost in order to continue to 'make happen' the 'New Atlantis'/corporate enterprise we call America--and all for the sake of our children who deserve much better than Washington politicians have been serving them in this, the over-glamorized, fearmongering New Millennium.
