Corporations celebrate their free money at our expense? These are merely some of the possibilities that may be brought to fruition on Capitol Hill as this sessions ends.

As you see, brash Mars @8Sco40 ('9Sco' = "Drilling for Oil") leads the throng of planets in BOWL formation with lawmaker Saturn @00Cap21 conjunct IC ('The Drain'), a symbol of mining in 4th house. The Old Man is just growing accustomed to being back in his own sign of Capricorn (the sign of government, law, and business) during this Hour of Saturn with its freshly Stationed Direct Mercury @13Sag00, and valuable if vengeful Venus @27Sag27 out-of-bounds of the Earthly plane and isolated from the other planets (actors) yet by degree, Venus conjoins the December 18, 2017 New Moon (26Sag31), the 'Syzygy Moon' of the chart.

Leaving the 12th house of Karma, Politics, and Backroom Deals is the current Solar Eclipse @28Leo32 (the chart's 'PE'), aka, The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 containing 1 North vibes of "information distorted and possibly false" and "great pressure is put upon relationships" (Brady).

This chart and the conditions it reveals contains potentials for quarrels, heavy and bitter attacks (Mercury-Pluto = Saturn), hysterical outbursts (see the Moon in 5th house--almost a US natal Lunar Return), realizing plans fanatically (Mars-Pluto = Mercury), tragic realizations (Moon-Mercury = Pluto), egotism, skepticism, nervous irritation, prosperity through cooperation and consciousness of objectives (Moon-Mars = Sun), indifference (Saturn-ASC = Jupiter), a persuasive orator (Mercury-Pluto = Sun), and obliging others (ASC-MC = NN); (Ebertin).

And of course, wealthy saboteur Pluto @18Cap29 (conjunct Minerva, journal of the Hegel Society) continues stimulating the 1993 Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Neptune so we know that, "The big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise" (Tyl); this, in part, is a picture of the bribes, payoffs, and blackmail used on Capitol Hill by wealthy donors, bankers, and foreign financiers in order to sway US legislation and subsequent vote-counting their way. Herr Hegel would be proud!

Wonder how US finances would be now if it weren't for decades of embezzlement, financial sleight of hand, misuse of taxpayer funds, backroom deals on covert ops, secret slush funds, overblown military expenditures, and outright theft of taxpayer monies?

Well, as we know, the crooks are in charge and they're attempting now to avoid the financial reckoning they so richly deserve for their decades-long mismanagement of America's resources which rightly belong to...

So let's give a mild hurrah for President Obama making the journey to Rome to meet Pope Francis on March 27, 2014. After all, that gold ring can't kiss itself, y'know, poverty issues to discuss or not!

And another illustrious supplicant will peek out of her palace long enough to travel to meet Pope Francis for the first time: Queen Elizabeth who will spend only one day in the Vatican. But it should be enough time to pucker up and show some respect to the ecclesiastical head of the *goddess-worshiping Catholic Church.

The rest of us really have to wonder exactly which topics and plans are really being discussed when political and religious leaders clump together in such a publicized manner inside what is a very private sovereign state called Vatican City. Years ago I read something that Sybil Leek wrote about Neptune entering secretive, powerful Scorpio which marked the creation of the credit card industry and is related to inflation in our economy.

Here's an excerpt from my 2007 post concerning this crooked topic:

Owning a 1972 copy of Sybil Leek's The Astrological Guide to Financial Success, I give here her 2 cents' worth on the illusion of credit and the daftness (my word) of living beyond one's means.

The unstable illusions begin with nebulous Neptune's entry into Scorpio, sign of Big Business, which occurred approximately March 1956 until 1970 while making some reconnaisance back into Libra (appr Oct '56--June '57.)

Here is Ms. Leek in her own words from 1972:

I added that Sybil Leek must be rolling over in her grave during Bush's unending, drunken-sailor term in office--and a major part of our end-of-2012 'fiscal cliff' and debt problems now are because of Bush's two wars fought on credit cards!

Plus, of course you know that President Obama's first term (and some would say 2nd term since the planetary team of inflation, speculation, fraud, waste, and grand schemes won't meet again by conjunction until April 12, 2022 @23Pis59) is forever imprinted by the Great Conjunction/s (@24--27 AQ) of expanding, investing Jupiter and murky Neptune which conjoined directly upon our national Moon in Aquarius on May 27, July 10, and December 21, 2009, Mr. Obama's first year in office when financials looked particularly grim.

Remember the midpoint picture their conjunction formed with America's natal Moon representing We the People?

Jupiter-Neptune = natal Moon: becoming involved in speculation, instability, wastefulness; dreaminess; little sense of reality; losing oneself in plans. (Ebertin.)

Ebertin also gives the Jupiter-Neptune pair as 'political conflicts, visionaries, mystics, and hypocrites', descriptions which continue to apply to many of the denizens of the Washington DC political and lobbying classes, CEOs, and Wall Street gentry.

Has Elena Kagan 'coddled the Saudis'?

Has President Obama's SCOTUS nominee Elena Kagan coddled the Saudis and protected them from being sued by our 9/11 families and survivors?

Well, if she did, she did it by direction from the president.

And I wouldn't expect our patootie-covering Congress to care one jot since the lack of a trial keeps the question of Saudi finances under wraps along with possible US government involvement in the attacks of 9/11, and some unsavory reciprocal financial deals that would stink up the place if not kept under a tight seal.

Guess it's just one win-win situation after another when the crooks are in charge!
