Just before Election 2020: Trump's Nodal Return

June 28, 2020: Well, apparently as the Cosmos would have it, Election Day 2020 (November 3) is preceded by Donald Trump's Nodal Return, a time when new or beneficial alliances tend to form, one's destiny is on the front burner and is perhaps up for reconsideration. If the current course is 'on track' things proceed with a Jupiterian boost although considering that the destiny of America is linked to such a sub-standard actor playing the role of POTUS, it pains my American heart to type this for it possibly adds to the portents of a second Trump term in office. Yes, Joe Biden's natal planets receive planetary contacts on November 3rd but scofflaw Trump's natal planets have more - and with the voting Moon (the public) in changeable Gemini, at first (12:00 am edt) conjunct Biden's natal 7th house Saturn, then floating on through Trump's Gemini trio (17-23 Gemini). None of this is completely positive for either candidate, of course, and Luna does tend to fluctuate or vacillate (plus voting planet Mercury stations on November 3rd, changes his mind/direction and/or represents election machine glitches) but a variety of factors are certain to bring the usual mixture of flowing vs blocking events and conditions that the Universe so often delivers to test a fellow's resolve and mettle.

So when Trump asserts that the 2020 Election is "rigged", we can know that certain tactics are already in play. It looks as if only a landside for Biden can override shady political tactics of the GOP to become our country's saving grace - to the extent that Republicans can be forced to get out of a Democratic president's way (plus, winning the Senate would definitely help!). Of course with Joe Biden, the GOP doesn't have the 'race card' to focus on this time around but they have a full deck of potential scandals they can stir up from next to nothing and have, in fact, already begun trying to do so (Ukraine, etc). And we know that a large indicator on November 3rd is transit Neptune Rx @18Pisces, eroding planet of deception and scandals, tapping at Biden's natal IC door and after a pause will proceed to silently slide on in to his 4th house of Roots and Domestic Scene (which also affects Biden's 10th house of Career), thereby undermining him if possible. Unless the scandals stirred up amount to nothing and thus fail to stick well enough to prevent a Blue Tsunami on November 3rd! But uh-oh - Neptune in Pisces also represents the pandemic and infections so there's the suggestion of a myriad of possibilities or even a Biden scandal connected to the ongoing catastrophe we're all facing. Well, I don't know about you but I'd say both Biden and Trump are in the 'high risk' category if for no other reason than their advanced ages.

In 2020 Larger Social Forces Prevail

So as you know, a 'new order' is arriving as we can feel and can know from all the major planetary conjunctions in 2020 including the Big One, Jupiter and Saturn which caps off the year at Winter Solstice on December 21, 2020 by conjoining @00AQ29, the degree of US POTUS Sun.

Actually, we've discussed this synchronicity before so I won't bore you with it now but will add that this synchronicity may have been realized and set up for future realization by FDR and his cronies when they changed the US Inauguration date from early March, usually the 4th (in 1934), to January 20th (or the 21st if the 20th falls on a Sunday) in 1937. This seems very likely an astro-fact to me if not to you, and as always, you're welcomed to disagree.

Yet in spite of all this, I am determined to publish the Horoscope of Donald Trump's Nodal Return 2020 which perfects on October 29th, mere days prior to Election Day 2020 with a few of my study notes added to the chart (below), plus, a few words on the symbolism of Trump's Nodal Axis - his Jupiterian North Node in natal 10th house of Career and Public Status and Saturnian South Node in his 4th house of Roots and Family (conjunct his Moon = estrangement from mama!). A few of Trump's natals are sprinkled around the outside of the chart and for those who use a founding horoscope for America with a 00/1Libra Midheaven ('MC'), there is vengeful Venus @1Lib44 leading a ruthless Locomotive shape of his Nodal Return planets as she crosses into our national 10th house where she'll become the prognosticator of victory or defeat in Election 2020 (in Libra, the incumbent wins unless a landslide for his opponent interferes) after which Venus will meet with US natal Saturn (14Lib48), suggesting a time when structure, order, and tradition could return to our nation:

As noted above, most of Trump natals are penned on and highlighted in pink including his natal Sun-Uranus = North Node so a Nodal Return (approximately every 19+ years) always reiterates his 10th house trio with potentials of 'a revolutionary spirit, self-will, upsets, catastrophes, sudden reforms'. With his North Node added we have 'friends and associates who encourage (his) activities' (Ebertin). When it comes to Drumpf that's probably friends in high and low places, both foreign and domestic. Not penned on for lack of space are his Venus and Saturn in watery Cancer (would be in Return 9th house of Legal Affairs and Ideology) and his Mercury @8Can51 (imagine the Tweetie One in Return 8th house).

Now as you see, this particular Nodal Return when set (symbolically) for Washington DC falls within the 8th house of Corporatism, Shared Resources, Debt, Credit, the occult, transformation, and death. Opposite in the 2nd hou$e of Values, Earning Ability, and Possessions we find Trump's natal Moon-SN conjunction now swiped again by the tail of the dragon, the transiting South Node, a karmic Saturnian combination of misuse of power and more (see notes, lower left corner), plus, potentials for bad timing and/or lack of popularity. Also in 2nd house is the previous/current Summer Solstice 2020 Solar Eclipse which perfected upon the Cardinal World Point of 00Cancer (global events) with its disruptive 4 North themes of 'restriction, restraint, separation, and illusion' (Brady). Obviously this describes in part the Covid-19 pandemic and its negative effects on families, domestic scene, business concerns, the caring professions, communications, finances, the American people in general and the US government with our 1776 Venus-Sun-Jupiter and Mercury Rx in Cancer. Naturally, the planetary gorilla skulking in the background of it all is America's approaching (already within a five-degree orb) Pluto Return/s of 2022.

And we should always note that whatever affects scofflaw Trump also affects America because tragically, as of January 20, 2017, his karma is our karma. So let's close this fuss with the rounded-up Sabian Symbols for Trump's natal Nodal Axis with the symbol for each end of the axis revealing the Illumination Point of its opposite - North Node of future direction vs South Node, a point of limitation when past behavior and/or talents are depended upon but no longer work in the present - hence neurotic behavior:

North Node @'21Gemini': "A Labor Demonstration" = "REPRESENTATION...positive expression: a consistent courage in attacking major problems at any cost of minor well-being or inconvenience; negative" (unconscious/shadow side - jc) "expression: futile ill-will and bluster."

South Node @'21Sag': "A Child and a Dog With Borrowed Eyeglasses" = "EXAMINATION...positive expression: an exceptional skill in the analysis of personal opportunity throughout the many dimensions of experience; negative expression: distorted vision and self-defeating prejudice".

On the Prenatal Solar Eclipse of Alexander Hamilton

Because of the uncertainty of the birth data of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton I've never properly posted his natal horoscope or made much mention of him astrologically here on Stars Over Washington. However, there are multiple rectified versions of his natal chart for the curious if you wish to have a look at them or at his noon chart. His early childhood on the Island of Nevis has been subject to speculation through the years although more seems to be known these days. Here's his Wikipedia bio page if you're interested and a view of his 'noon' chart is available here. The version I tend to favor is a rectified chart (by Dr. "H") set for January 11, 1755 1:23:37 pm Charlestown, Nevis with ASC 19Tau53 and MC 9AQ20--and lots of Capricorn planets suitable for the man who championed America's national banking system, served as our first Secretary of the Treasury, and more.

The Age-Old Question: Who's Your Daddy?

In the natal chart I favor, Hamilton's natal Neptune @7Leo47 Rx, leader of a Locomotive shape of planets (toward success), conjoins his IC which describes Hamilton's mysterious beginnings or roots. Plus, rising is Taurus, a money sign (the Taurean 'Bull of bullish Wall Street') and an Aquarian Midheaven, the Aspiration and Career Point, brings in humanitarian or social work which resonates with his natal Uranus inconjunct Neptune aspect that identifies his generation as fighting social ills and becoming involved in political work. This aspect (150 degrees) between the two planets of The Enlightenment (and of the NWO, as their energies have since been directed) was also in effect from 1922 through 1928. And as you know, they last conjoined three times in 1993 @18Capricorn..."POLITICAL POWER...neg: smug or strong-armed paternalism" - Jones. Of course, paternalism is how America began by the Founding Fathers and what is now 'on steroids' under dictator-wannabe Trump.

Yet there are horoscopes relating to Alexander Hamilton which can be accurately timed without doubt. One is the chart of his Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') which perfected @22Lib35 on October 15, 1754 in the 9 New North Saros Series. This is a difficult series containing potentials for physical violence, accidents, and great physical effort (Brady). (A 9 New North last perfected in 2007 and will again in 2025.) His 1754 PE horoscope contains a YOD pattern (crisis; turning point; crossroads; special task; spiritual opportunity) with Neptune sextile North Node (understanding of cultural trends but evading them) at its base pointing toward natal Uranus @7Pis49 Rx. As you know, astrological Uranus can be crisis-prone on its own so when rivals Hamilton and Burr met with pistols in 1804, transit Pluto Rx, god of Hades, had been in process of conjoining Hamilton's natal Uranus with Uranus-Pluto combinations always explosive and often daring and foolhardy.

Now the YOD in his natal PE chart may be read as a midpoint picture: Neptune-NN = Uranus: unrestrained self-will; upset over the anti-social conduct of others; a sudden undermining or destruction of relationships. Add transit Pluto to Uranus' place in the picture on July 11, 1804 7:00 am Weehawken, NJ and Hamilton encountered potentials for: exercising a bad influence upon associations between people and/or the breakdown of a relationship between people living together (Ebertin). Tragically, sudden death by duel or any other means can do that to a man and his family.

Bitter Rivals

As for the 1804 duel's PE, it manifested on February 11, 1804 @21AQ36 in the 4 North Saros Series with themes of: illusion, restraint, restriction, separation, events that block, and people who are prone to misjudge their strength or the situation. These themes sum up conditions and events around the Hamilton-Burr duel rather well, I think, especially since at 7:00 am LMT in Weehawken, vengeful Venus in proud Leo was rising and shooter Mars was at the critical-crisis 29th degree of Taurus.

A solar eclipse in the 4 North series last perfected in 2002 @20Gemini (conjunct US natal Mars and Trump's natal North Node) and will manifest next as the Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse of 2020.

Summer Solstice Solar Eclipses 2001 and 2020

July 30, 2018: here you see a dual image of two horoscopes of the Summer Solstice 2001 Solar Eclipse and the Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse of 2020. In 2001, the eclipse perfected on June 21 @00Can10 and was the Prenatal Eclipse of the WTC attacks on 9/11/01. In 2020 an eclipse will manifest on June 21 @00Can21. Both charts are set for Washington DC as representative of America. The two eclipses are 'time links' by degree, not by Saros Series.

Note that in Political Astrology I tend to work with eclipses symbolically by degree, sign, stars, sensitive and critical degrees, etc. For as you know, eclipses affect history by expressing through individuals via an eclipse's links to a person's natal chart and planets. Those who are in an eclipse's path of visibility may 'feel' the effects more strongly, yes, but even if one is located 'out of the path', eclipses occur and have influence even so. For one thing, an eclipse manifests approximately every 18.6 years in the same Saros Series as the series a person is born into (their Prenatal Eclipse or 'PE') so whether a person is located at the time in path of visibility or not, it's 'their' personal eclipse. An example is the recent solar eclipse on July 12, 2018 @21Cancer in Mr. Trump's 2 Old North Saros Series which occurred while he was abroad and perfected two days prior to his 'Helsinki Summit' with Mr. Putin. That 2 Old North themes of 'unfortunate news' and 'separation' affected Trump personally seems apparent to me if not you.

That said, here are the horoscopes of the 2001 Summer Solstice Eclipse and the upcoming Summer Solstice Eclipse of June 21, 2020 with my usual messy notes scribbled upon:

Now as you know, 00Cancer, a critical degree, is one of the four Cardinal Points of Manifestation denoting events occurring on the world stage and this alone makes an eclipse upon this degree significant. Will a similar attack be heralded by the 2020 eclipse? They say history doesn't repeat but it rhymes yet I'm not prognosticating such a game-changing terrorist assault. Even so, most folks feel that major shifts are occurring now across the globe--politically and in the physical world via natural (and man made) disasters--and leaders tend to wage wars when they feel their domestic support waning. So with the chaos-loving Uranian Trump's quixotic finger on The Button, who would care to guess how he'll 'jump' in 2020--or even this afternoon?

As you see, the 2001 eclipse (upper, right) occurred in the 3 North Saros Series with themes of: 'news involving young people and/or news that transforms a situation; information that causes worry and obsession; large plans are undertaken which may be over-excessive'. Past 3 North eclipses are PEs for the likes of the CIA, William Howard Taft, James Monroe's second inauguration, John Quincy Adams, Hillary Clinton, and J.K. Rowling. Its initial manifestation occurred on October 10, 991 @22Gem06 (conjunct US natal warrior planet Mars--and Donald Trump's natal Sun, btw, engaged in a trio with his natal North Node and guiding planet, Uranus). Soon a 3 North eclipse will 'come again' on July 2, 2019 @11Cancer--among America's natal Cancerian trio of Venus, Jupiter, and Sun. Of course, Venus and Jupiter relate to finances, currencies, and money supply, the Sun to leadership.

The Summer Solstice Eclipse of 2020 perfects in the 4 North Saros Series. Its difficult themes are: 'illusions, restriction, inhibition, separation; events seem to block individuals who tend to misjudge strengths or situations; take no real action until the influence of the eclipse passes'. The initial 4 North eclipse occurred on May 25, 1389 @12Gem08, a position some see as America's natal Descendant. Interestingly, 4 North is the PE of: George Washington, George Soros, Prince Harry, the State of Israel, and Katy Perry.

Solar Eclipses in Gemini and Cancer

So the 2001 and 2020 solar eclipses in Moon-ruled Cancer (plus, Trump's in July 2018) should be viewed through a Mercurial Gemini lens due to their initial manifestations. An eclipse in Gemini spotlights logic, fluency, and the coherent expression of ideas. Negative traits include superficiality, loquaciousness, and caprice along with a tendency to communicate without forethought. Those born under a Gemini eclipse may tend toward garbled sentence structure, splintered positions, and duplicity. Unsurprisingly, Donald Trump's PE occurred in 1946 @9Gemini (conjunct US natal Uranus, our 'war and revolution' planet of shocks and chaos.) The gathering of information is also a Gemini eclipse influence along with gossip, news, and a dependence on poll-taking, all of which relate to Trump.

Solar eclipses in sensitive, receptive Cancer are associated with imagination, emotional extremes, emotional withdrawal (Cancer, the Crab hiding in its shell), karmic family ties, psychic ability, shrewd business moves, and an interest in Genealogy.

Well, that's all I shall type for now on 3 North and 4 North except to remind myself that all eclipses are 'wild card of the Universe' and 'cosmic blinks' which affect human history and individuals with their game-changing energies that are very similar to planet Uranus in its capacity to disrupt, separate, and reveal hidden factors which may be extremely inconvenient for all those involved.
