110th Congress in final days

In a spate of nostalgia, I looked for my first post about the current 110th Congress for which so many held such grand hopes - that they would end the Iraq occupation above all.

Well, the first minimum wage increase in Ten Years was passed with Republicans kicking and screaming, gas mileage standards were raised (were they? you tell me), ethics reform to rein in sorry politicians was passed (although they may have papered the break room with it - but after all, you can't legislate morality - my mama coulda told 'em that), plus, hundreds of hearings were held at taxpayers' expense, of course.

Which means that much stalling, diverting, and talking was done by all, with questions left unanswered and challenges neutralized.

And the Iraq war? The House, thanks to the Democrats, went 'on record' and out on a short limb as disapproving of the Bush-Cheney war. Well, me too - and my opinion's free.

So now, because the 110th Congress is coming to a close in a while, I have sentimentally (with a salty tear in my eye) reached back into 2006's blog bowels to find my very first post about the victorious 110th, titled, Dawn of a New Day: Nov 8, 2006, a hopeful if semi-realized shout-out to the Bush enablers of Capitol Hill.

You'll find a few Sabian Symbols of the day but with no updates in the post. Even so, I cordially invite you to take a brief stroll down memory lane with me, if you wish, because the Temple on Capitol Hill awaits.

Paper ballots before Congress next week

If you'd prefer paper ballots in an effort to hopefully cut down on rigged elections--and we know Nov 4, 2008 will be fraudulent otherwise--here's the petition to sign which will be sent to Congress--the clock is ticking, m'peops!

Congress back today (you mean they were gone?)

Returning for a brief, three-week 'holiday' session, Congress has returned to the scene of their crimes and misdemeanors, and to hear Bush tell it, they've been very naughty as well--for not toeing Bush's funding line.

Or at least that's the Dems according to Dubya.

When I opened the chart for this morning, Capitol Building, 9:00 am est, the Sun popped out at me--11Sag+, conjunct the Pluto/Chiron conjunction of Dec 30, 1999. As you know, the Pluto/Chiron combo is the plutocratic, oppressive, corporatism-fascism energy which has the world in a stranglehold (plus, there's Jupiter/Pluto, also a significator for plutocracy and excessive power.)

Chiron adds a wounded and disenfranchised quality to Pluto's behind-the-throne power tendencies.

Moon 4Lib00 (just past the Sibly USA natal MC) had just crossed the MC (4Lib15) in the Pluto/Chiron chart (5:50 am est; Dec 30, 1999) at 9:00 am in Washington, reflecting this degree publicly (although it's the backroom deals that guide them in House and Senate, not the Public's wishes, as we've noticed insufferably.)

Using the rounding-up method because it seems to apply to Washington more than the previous Sabian Symbol, let's peek at Lynda Hill's book on the Symbols, 360 Degrees of Wisdom, for the Moon's degree, "5Lib":

From adjustment of the AMT to the funding of the neocon's Iraq occupation, their arrogant imperialsm continues to defy reason, sanity, and the US piggybank they smashed with a hammer long ago.

Three short weeks? So much to do, so little time...and so much grandstanding and bluster to act out. Washington Theater, Dahling.

Congress reconvenes Sep 4, 2007

After their summer break and in spite of all the People can do, Congress reconvenes Tuesday, September 4, as I've been warned. And thus the infestation continues.

There are 'poisons' in the air, quarrels in the wings, and a thousand other things-- and of course, Tuesday's chart represents the entire week, while we Sheeple admire or deride the performances which our congressional actors and other governmental thespians shall deliver.

Oh! and al-Qaeda and others are watching, too.

Yes, my peepers were put on and a stealthier-than-usual peek was taken at the transit charts for Tuesday over the Capitol Building--for sunrise and for 9:00 am EDT. It is stealthier because of the methods employed bwo composite (blended or averaged) charts done with Tuesday + the R's and the D's natal charts respectively.

Back now after a household catasprophe--can't stay long, but first here are a few notes on Tuesday's transits to the natal chart of the Republican Party:


Mercury 28Vir28 conj n Mars: information received motivates or inspires action; giving or receiving instructions; a pressing need or urge to travel; sales and business may involve: sports, vehicles, communications or computers, military matters esp equipment, education, or haircuts. Yep--haircuts.

Jupiter 11Sag09 (conj the Pluto/Chiron conj degree of Dec 30, 1999) has lately Stationed Direct upon the R-Party's ASC 9Sag47. This also conjuncts the warring Fixed Star, Antares, keywords: obsessed with success. Jupiter to ASC is a time when grand jestures are made in order to impress, and people may have or get the idea that there's higher status or importance than is the case.

Greed or self-indulgence leads to negative outcomes now--just ask the not-gay bathroom guy. (Please tip your attendant.)

Then there's the long-time-coming tr Uranus to n Neptune 15Pis53. This has been in effect ever since Uranus got to the mid-degrees of Pisces---longer than I'd care to remember. And Ura/Neptune, as you know, is the New World Order pair of 1992-93 when their Great Conjunction took place: "18Cap"...smug or string-armed paternalism.

Uranus to n Neptune upsets the status quo with an increased need to fulfill ideals and spiritual aspirations--yet individuals have little if any personal control. Freedom of expression disappears, and others make decisions which the Collective will regret.

A Uranus-Neptune period was between 1934 to 1949 when demented ideals were touted in Germany as personal freedom and equality were mocked and trampled upon with tragic results. A style of this fascism is being seen again since their hook-up in 1992-93...we're in the thick of it now, m'peops, and it's being spread by elitist globalist types who think chaos is just dandy and "worth it" along with their syndicate minions to do much of their dirty work.

They do what they like as long as they have their *sidedoor to slip out of...their loophole or secret trapdoor, their state-of-the-art escape hatch.


And yet the Davison Composite (C/Dav) chart blending Tuesday's transits + the Dem Party itself shows an obsessive-compulsive quindecile aspect between Uranus and Neptune.

Uranus QD Neptune: idealism influences rebellion; disruption of idealism and/or unity; deceit disrupts the status quo (there's that status quo again); there can be heightened idealism and compassion, and unification through innovative ideas and insights.

Two more QDs are in evidence.

Mercury QD Pluto: manipulation and cunning by using communication and information; domination of discussions; perceptions are transformed through communication of powerful ideas.

Saturn QD Pluto: old systems self-destruct; societal leaders use force, manipulation, and ocntrol which transforms rigid structures; alternately, authority may be influenced by mass consciousness.

Are there any QDS in the C/Dav chart of the Republicans? you ask.

Mars QD Saturn: aggressively and ruthlessly driven toward goals, ambitions, and achievements; physical limits are pushed to prove oneself---wookaholism; clashes with authority.

Mars QD MC: sreps on others to get ahead in career; driven by the need to reach the top; passionate and confident.

Neptune QD MC: illusion and deception used within career; has idealized perceptions about who one is in the world; intuitive and insightful; can play a role in spiritual arenas (The Quindecile, Ricki Reeves.)

As you see in the charts, the D-Party has more going on in the top hemisphere--more on display for the public, one supposes. They also have more midpoints in the C/Dav chart than the Rs do. Look for provocative behavior, plus some surprises and innovations put forth this week in Washington.

America could sure use improved behavior on Capitol Hill and in the White House. Thankfully, Bush is off the continent so once again I ask: can't the locks be changed?

And one more thing about Tuesday--around 4:00 pm edt, Moon catches up to Mars at the Venus Transit degree of June 2004 (the Sea Island, GA G-8 Summit...

Tuesday June 12 Bush has lunch with his enablers (guess all of them employ Royal Taste-Testers):

At apex point in a Fixed T-Square, the Moon acts as catalyst (and on a level may so obviously represent a lady on the Hill) and so we find a stalemate situation--and stalemates seem to follow the irrationally and stubbornly-willed George Bush everywhere he goes--on Tuesday to speak to the Hill politicians ostensibly about the recent non-passage of the oft-trumpeted Immigration Bill so hastily and sloppily cobbled together.

Pluto/Chiron issues continue: racism, class warfare, oppression, women's issues, plutocracy...the pilagers and hoodlums with gangsterism rotting their hearts--against society.

Didn't Tony Soprano teach them anything? Seems not.

On Tuesday: over the Capitol Building, there is formed a Fixed T-Square indicating a rigid situation in which there will be explosive venting of emotions that rise from a habitual determination to re-energize conditions which no longer exist.

There's a deep urge to retain what is possessed (the Rich Man's back-monkey?)

Adaptability and detachment are lacking and past methodical planning may no longer hold sway as it once did. An aversion to change is petulantly on display.

Yes, it's a Battle of Wills on Tuesday and the chamber walls may shake--even with violence. Bush's demanding and obsessive needs completely block the needs of others and this may tell the tale of the Republican Party's inner conflicts at the very thought of hangin' with Bush as the 2008 Election nears.

{The alternate script: a surprise will make Bush's continuance in the role of "president" supposedly necessary--while Putin does what must be done to keep his throttling grasp on power's throat in Russia.}

Not that our votes count for anything in the US...our "inauguration" is a coronation from on-high--the ruling 'elite' lavishes the spoils to the "victor" who will do their bidding with few known facts on hand before making decisions (as one is directed. The big piture must be followed: very little option to do otherwise.)

With Bush's strong-arm visit to Congress this week, his grand irrationality will be in evidence as the brickwall is shaken with the ferocity of a bull who keeps bashing his horns until they're bloodied and he's comatose. He is the bull and he is the matador ole!


This creature has a low character (Saturn/Neptune = Moon: low character; emotional immaturity; pessimism; emotional drain.) This relates to the animal nature--and Taurus the Bull is an able carrier of the archetype, isn't he?

And wouldn't you know? Asteroid, Sisyphus is rising in the chart for 9:30 am edt!

Plus, we remember that these days the tr Saturn/Pluto midpoint is triggering Bush's natal IC, the Endings/Partings Point, the HOW? of the chart, the Basis or Foundation/one's Roots. Gangsterism!

pos: a fearless self-affirmation which gains a sympathetic attention and wins immediate allegiance from the hearts and minds of everybody (sound familiar, Sparkie?);

It's quite possible that quacker George Bush has only bombast left in his bag of tricks although he thinks to engage in power plays for personal advancement.

Yet if Congress bows again to the belittled and belittling dictator, we'll know they really are as in-cahoots with the Bush regime as many people were afraid they were.

Now we have to rid ourselves of that pile of termites, too.

Dawn of a New Day: Nov 8 2006

As Democratic Saturn hung over the Capitol Building at sunrise today, Pres Bush's natal Venus, recently visited by said Saturn was feeling lonely and unloved. He deserves it.

Asteroid, Minerva (wisdom) is there, too...hopefully an archetype Nancy Pelosi will bring with her. But she might want to can the "most honest, most ethical" slogan though...angels' wings may be needed for that, but we can hope.

We-the-People, Moon 25Gem26, was in the 8th house of taxes, debt, insurance, legacies, transformation, and death.

Sun 15Sco56 arose heralded by contentious Mars at the "A drowning man rescued" degree, causing your reluctant astrologer (moi) to wonder who was being saved--Bush whose Iraq mess is more than he can handle (for you can't solve problems using the same thinking that caused them, and Bush is a one-note kinda guy) or is it YOU, Lieberman? (props to Jon Stewart.)

Rx Mercury at 16Sco52 rises next and still indicating recounts, VA in particular, it seems, but we'll see. Will Macaca Allen have his sway? And then there's Montana's outcome still teetering as I type, 8:00 am.

Venus 18Sco54 is next to rise in square to Bush's natal Venus. If rising Venus is taken for Nancy Pelosi, the first-ever female Speaker of the House, we may expect the blockages and obstacles typical of the square aspect, but much developmental energy is possible as well between Bush's values/relationships and Pelosi's.

And money issues are a province of Venus with raising the minimum wage high on Dems' agenda and Bush desperate to stop it for his corporate fiends (not a typo.)

Also rising: guru-moneybags Jupiter 26Sco31 with his Jupiter Mantra in tow ("every day in every way I'm getting better and better"), but the overconfident prosecution of the Iraq War will be in play, as we may expect.

Interestingly, the midpoint between Mercury/Uranus is opposite the US natal Sun, so therefore opposite Bush's natal Sun, Merc/Uran = Sun: quick adjustment to new circumstances. Yup!

But, as Noel Tyl says, this picture can also mean: up-to-speed; able to create the surprising move. Will Bush pull his fat at least partially out of the fire? Some people are still betting on him....another "we'll see."

Well, there's much more info in the sunrise chart, the Dawn of a New Day, everything changed, but I'm getting set up now for Bush's best happy-face spin at 1:00 pm today, last I heard.

Now 1:00 pm seems a little tardy, but I guess he needs to practice in front of his mirror (wonder what he sees? Is there an image to behold?) so he can get out in front of the people as he grasps the bully pulpit--for he's a bully and a preacher in his own mind--and mention the war on terror, Iraq, and any other thing he can delusionally cling to. But America is "fed up with rosy pictures" at last.

Admitting that most of us hate his guts will not be on his concession agenda...and at the White House, at 1:00 pm est, Neptune "18AQ": "A man unmasked" degree will be rising...fat lot o'good it seems to do the nation.
