Well, apparently some financial titans don't use Astrology (or even pay someone who does)--or, they collapse financial conditions according to a schedule due to an over-arching 'Great Plan' long set in motion so that chaos will result and a Global Economic Order of Orwellian proportions can be set up, they think. Yes, thanks to The Great Cosmic Clock that is our Solar System, Astrology helps anti-social miscreants time their actions (bubbles, busts, take-overs, etc) in positive or negative fashion. Motives count!

In a Wall Street Weather article linked below, you'll find among other things, mention of the London trader ('The London Whale') who set JPMC's massive loss in motion by trading murky derivatives of sorry merit and the result is causing many to call for the return of Glass-Steagall provisions. But why in London?

Well, in previous posts on this blog, perhaps you've read of the City of London (a financial area which, like the Vatican, is a legal territory unto itself) acting as director of the government of the United States of America. An astro-indicator I have long used for this crazy notion is America's out-of-bounds Pluto 27Cap33 Rx (in our natal 2nd House of Money and Values) showing wealthy plutonians of power existing abroad in the old country--Capricorn--and pulling secretive strings in the US to which our politicians and Fed bankers have danced, and continue to dance. (Ex: trillions of our bailout monies circa 2008/09 were sent by the US Fed to entities and banks abroad--yet now the EU is all 'broke' and everything--except for Germany, it seems. Wonder where the trillions went? Did European monarchs scarf it up? Not satisfied, the power elite now austerely suck up the pension funds and more from the people of Europe as a global heist proceeds.)

Pluto v US Mercury Rx and Cornwallis the Surrendered

US natal Pluto (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA) opposes US natal Mercury Rx '25 Cancer' with its telling Sabian Symbol: "A Man Wrapped in an Invisible Mantle of Power" (wording from my SolarFire software) which resonates with Pluto and his sneaky Helmet of Invisibility--and in the real world of 1776, to whoever was haunting about Philadelphia and influencing the set-up of America (Adam Weishaupt is my best guess along with his old-world backers of the 'Great Plan' both contemporary and long-passed.)The Cornwallis Surrender horoscope is linked just below for your consideration--and the time is accurate, thanks to General Washington!

And of course, you know of our national Mercury/Pluto opposition and its tendencies toward surveilllance, spying, keeping secrets, spreading propaganda, and information gathering and data collection to which we are now subject as major technological advances spur on Government Spies (NSA) to keep tabs on our every move and all personal banking activities of The Masses.

Cornwallis Surrendered--or, They Just Stopped Fighting the Revolution

In a minor form, these issues were in the back of my mind as I wrote on General George Washington, Freemason and astrologer, electing the precise time and date for Cornwallis' Surrender (see chart link just below); I hope to return to the study of that very interesting horoscope at some point especially since it is perfectly timed by a top Freemason of his day, George Washington, who soon went on to become our first US president.

So far the most insightful article online concerning last week's revelation and mea culpa from JP Morgan Chase's CEO Jamie Dimon (of "tempest in a teapot" fame) is found on the excellent Wall Street Weather site and I hope you'll check it out if you haven't, for one doesn't have to speak 'astrologese' to appreciate WSW's info-packed article.

It's impossible for me to discuss US financial issues gone wrong without mentioning Mr. Reagan and his 1%-loving influence whilst playing president so if you wish, view a horoscope with brief notes concerning the July 30, 1981 Reganomics Eclipse @ 7Leo51 which conjoins George W. Allow Mr. Hedges to paint the picture for you more clearly than I ever could as the 'Too Big To Fail' 99% movement of dissent sweeps across the globe, disgruntling Pluto/Chiron types as they hunker down in their oligarchic ivory towers and state-of-the-art bunkers, poor things.

Yes, their disenfranchising and oppresssion of the 99% of us are being called to account at last and in the biggest way possible: peacefully and righteously.

The Light of an Aries Moon with a Jupiter/Pluto Midpoint

A Full Moon @ 18Ari24 on October 11, 2011 represents the culmination or fulfillment phase of something begun at the last New Moon of September 27, 2011 @ 4Lib00 (horoscope shown) which emphasized the ongoing opposition of string-puller Pluto to US natal Jupiter 5Can56.

(During the Great Depression, transiting Pluto conjoined America's planets in Cancer; now Mr. Underworld has changed his tune and opposes our Venus, Jupiter, Sun, and eventually our Mercury Rx, too, as efforts continue to dismantle and dissolve FDR's New Deal programs. Apparently global bankers such as the Houses of Rockefeller and Rothschild were on board with the Roosevelt presidency's financial policies but now they're working hard to harvest the last decades' abundance away from the American people--and so far succeeding too well.)

The Occupy Wall Street protests actually began on Sept 17--ten days earlier than the September New Moon. Astrologer Lynn Hayes has written an excellent article on the movement's genesis which she calls the Beginning of Uranus/Pluto in the US, a reference to the current Uranus/Pluto square in their cycle which issued from their Great Conjunction/s of the mid-1960s, a time of social upheaval and the anti-war and civil rights protests of my generation.

Mercury also rules the Full Moon's 4th house of Real Estate and Domestic Scene, and the president's natal Pluto in Virgo. (I refer to Mr. Obama as 'president', and not to Speaker of the House Mr. Boehner who seems confused on the issue at times.)

As you see, rising in first house is the July 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse @ 9Can12 which falls within our nation's line-up of Cancerian planets--and precisely between our national Sun and Jupiter, a factor you and I knew would be trouble.

President Obama's natal, quixotic Chiron/Pluto opposition is in full view (MC/IC) and is notated upon the chart along with a T-Square (Pluto/ASC = Uranus in Aries ( = Utopians and other anarchists; Uranus also is The Awakener, as mentioned in protesters' chants) so we have a picture of extraordinary incidents and upsets, constant anxiety and restlessness, and potential changes of environment.

A Grand Trine which includes North Node (NN = encounters; meetings; future direction; publicity) ropes in the October 11th Full Moon along with a feisty Leonine Mars so that three pictures are formed:

1. Moon/Mars = NN indicates vigorous cooperation with others, and women as associates.

2. Moon/NN = Mars shows energetic advocacy of unions or associations and vigorous teamwork (teamsters? jc)

3. Mars/NN = Moon brings in more feminine participation along with 'soul contact' vibes present within enterprises of mutually sympathetic people.

You may wish to click and view the participants in a rather involved Kite pattern with ASC as the Kite's 'tail', and Fixed Stars Polaris ('to show the way') and Betelgeuse ('success which is not blocked') rising and directing the Kite's high-flying inspirations and a prognosis for success.

Of note to current financial topics and other large endeavors is a Minor Grand Trine (highlighted in pink) if one includes Midheaven (MC = Goals; Aspirations), an angular point where Jupiter/Pluto (in trine) may express the pair's big banker/wheeler dealer energies. Jupiter continues his delaying Rx phase in Taurus, a money sign with a shadow side that includes greed and intolerance.

Well, moneybags Jupiter (Republicans) and manipulative Pluto (the dragon guarding the world's hidden riches, and robbing us all) are certainly simpatico (trine) this week and so far are quite successful in their Make Obama And America Fail campaign...their midpoint sits upon the Full Moon's Goal Point (MC.) But this means that Jupiter/Pluto also sits upon President Obama's natal Chiron in Pisces--and affects goals with the wounding--or talent--that Chiron, The Key, always provides.

George Washington's Wall Street meets Occupy Wall Street's First Amendment

Have you ever noticed the horoscope for the ceremony of our very first presidential oath-taking on a Wall Street balcony at Federal Hall (26 Wall Street) just across from the NYSE building in lower Manhattan, NYC?

Among other factors, the horoscope shows a YOD pattern (special task; crossroads; turning point; crisis; paradox) on April 30, 1789 at 12:45 pm LMT which is the moment our then-Freemason-in-Chief of some wide repute, George Washington, elected to take the very first US Presidential Oath of Office.

And the same site, Wall Street's Federal Hall, is the place where the First Amendment was created and ratified, 222 years ago this very week. Here it is now:

So, gathering their filly skirts about them, you'll find that the official website of Federal Hall now opens with a Notice saying that for the 'duration' of the Occupy Wall Street protests, the *front door of the site where President George Washington took the first-ever oath of office will be barricaded...yes, barricaded against The People.

It is within the nature of Temples to be defended. Of course.

Yet the Notice carries such an 18th century vibe, even for the chronically self-protective, I do declare! (My spats and top hat are at the cleaners, if you're wondering.) Guess the authorities are cooperating with the well-heeled of Wall Street in case something valuable needs guarding against the younger generation.

So if we look to Sabian Symbols for a descriptive word picture concerning the Occupy Wall Street presence of 2011 as they issue from the 1789 brouhaha that started the whole shebang and a branch of government--with a pageant on display upon a Wall Street balcony since our nation's capitol was then situated at Federal Hall NYC--therefore, we may wish to snoop using the one-degree-for-a-year method of looking at outcomes bwo evolutionary Symbols.

And because Astrology describes universal energy flowing in an AC-DC fashion--one of the following signifies on some level the protesters, the other the self-exalted swelled-heads whom the marchers and chanters wish to reach with a message of we-the-people's grievances against them and against the sorry ways in which American society has been run the last decade or so. We're so scammed.

But wage setting is merely a goalpost the power elite keep moving at their will or fancy, but always to our detriment, after they've had The Creatives drape gauzy veils of political assurances over it to disguise their true intent. Don't look too closely!

Did you know that on The Mountain Astrologer website today, expert astrologer Mary Plumb has published a News and Astrology article round-up of links concerning the ongoing and spreading (!) protests in progress in Manhattan of the Occupy Wall Street movement where I'm proud to say that America's younger generations (who are suffering from the thieving of Wall Street top hats wearers and champagne goblet toasters) and are not afraid to tell the fancy swells about their--our--grievances!

This transit of opposition marks a period when hostile forces are encountered (protesters v banksters, and riot police v we-the-people) with powerful, card-holding Pluto insuring a mobilizing effect, and the Mars/Pluto combination of energies relating to zeal, massive amounts of energy, heavy-handed police or military actions, and potentially explosive conditions.

Yes, this is the very contest of wills which this transit warns us against yet that is precisely what is happening in NYC, plus, the protests are spreading like...a contagion of a more positive kind than Gwyneth Paltrow can muster onscreen.

The interference of protesting Mars with business-as-usual and the attempt of the street marchers to change the status quo are at the foundation of Occupy Wall Street's motivations and resulting events as many journalists and pundits echo an off-the-point Establishment cry of "But what do they want?" (duh!) and "They have no leader" and "there's no one-pointed goal," with Mars, ruler of Aries, the poster boy for me-first-ism and pioneerism...but The Angry One is in more than a passing snit over continued Wall Street fraud and outright corporate deception as our lives and futures are co-opted by conglomerates more powerful than in their initial heyday of the Robber Baron Era of the 1880s and 1890s.

With Mars opposite US natal Pluto in Saturn-ruled Capricorn (business, government, law--all of which institutions the protesters and marchers are riling up in an unusual fashion--Uranus square Pluto), the movement if imprinted by this opposition to the people's desires (Mars) and its heartfelt sentiments are palpable and arouse Wall Street's antagonism and deep sense of self-protection (Saturn = boundaries and rules; Cancer = the canny self-protection of The Crab who will move sideways, if necessary, to escape and avoid.)

Now regardless of pepper-spray-in-face Tony Baloney's overreaction, the NYC police force has pension worries of its own thanks to fraud and embezzlement by corporate and government types--wonder if they know they're on the wrong side? Actually, police and other city officials are on the proverbial horns of a dilemma for their paychecks must be signed to be deposited even as the Wall Street Bull snorts its disapproval of the grass roots goings-on.

My opinion is that an honest and direct approach may shine a favorable light upon those who are involved in the Occupy Wall Street protests and indeed this manner of doing things in a peaceful way is the only chance to gain an upper hand through taking the moral high ground.

Goodness knows, Wall Street CEOs and their agents, minions, and operatives haven't a clue how to proceed along such a decent path without being lead by their comfort-loving noses like Disney's Ferdinand the Bull smelling flowers...

My Q for you: Aren't you loving the old films and photos (and history info) in Ken Burns' Prohibition which began showing on PBS last evening, Sunday? It's a three-part series detaili,somehting which must come from within. Astonsishingly, a majority of Americans in those days drank day and night but most brew weren't as strong as they are today.

Wish I could tell Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and any proto-fascists such as the corporate-backed Tea Party hierarchy crowd, and all Federalist Society disciples that their tiresome scapegoat tactic (it's them, not us) of 'projecting the shadow upon others; not being accountable or held accountable' has worn papery thin and we're fed up with wealthy, globally-inclined bankers and monarchists jerking our country around by her Aquarian nose. Even with transit Neptune, planet of loss, fraud, and delusion, still languishing near US natal Moon @ '28AQ' (we-the-people)--we are so over your sorry ways!

ABA Convention protests and the Saturn/Pluto Square

"We're not here to cause trouble - we're here because we are in trouble." So begins this video of the weekend's protests at the American Bankers Association in Chicago, Illinois, the ABA. Or as we have every right to think of them based on their actions: the American Bankrobbers Association.

1,000 protesters were involved and they are expecting over 5,000 people to arrive in Chicago by Tuesday, Oct 27, to join in protesting Wall Street bankers taking our tax money and using it to give themselves massive bonuses and lobby Washington against meaningful financial reform.

Last evening I was studying the *astrology chart of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, signed by George Bush on July 30, 2002 @ 10:28 am edt in Washington, with the Sun 7Leo15 conjunct Bush's natal Ascendant, and Mars 10Leo52 conjunct his natal Mercury/Pluto conj in 1st house of Self.

Mercury/Pluto = tr Mars: indefatigable; an ability to master great tasks; sharp criticism; a desire to attack others; a blackmailer; grasping a situation quickly, rightly or wrongly, and taking confident and persuasive action; attacking an issue without reservation. (Tyl; Ebertin.)

As I said, I was studying the signing chart last evening and am copying/pasting the post I began then. You can see the mood I was in after feeling an inconvenient compulsion to read about the smokescreen legislation of Sarbanes-Oxley and George Bush. And this, after celebrating a radiant 4-year-old's birthday. What a come-down.

The SOX bill was supposedly going to improve the financial system and take significant steps to penalize fraud, but with deceptive, veiling - fraudulent - Neptune 9AQ39 Rx in 5th house of Gambling and Risk-Taking - and opposing the Sun-Mars conjunction affecting Bush's natal chart, it's easy to see what a baseless belief that was. 'Smokescreen' is a Neptunian word par excellence and the fraud was baked into the bill itself.

Plus, Fedheader Alan Greenspan praised it which is enough to cause a gut reaction against it for me, and we can't say that SOX has put on the breaks of fraud's jalopy in US financial markets, can we?

Here you may read Bush's pie-in-the-sky signing statement and one must wonder if the bill was one of those under the table you-follow-the-law-cos-I-won't affairs Bush was so fond of and famous for. He liked to pick and choose which points his chain-yankers agreed with in the bills he signed, you remember.

Financial wheeler-dealer Dick Cheney wasn't on hand for the signing, oddly enough. Perhaps he had big-time insider trading to do and couldn't break away from the game.

That's as far as I got with last night's post until today when I find the video of the weekend protesters doing the right thing on behalf of their fellow American taxpayers across our bankrupted-by-the-power-elite land.

My heart is with them in Chicago yet my body must remain in Georgia! Collectively, Saturn is squaring Pluto, and Bush's boots are kicked back on the front porch of new-world-orderism while giving the occasional speech for mega-bucks. His recent speeches given in Canada have been attracting protesters, too. Good.

When Saturn squares Pluto there is a defensive stance against social responsibility which can be seen in the above video as bankers refuse to listen much less come clean. Under this aspect such responsibility is seen as an obstacle rather than an opportunity.

Extremes are resorted to in order to get out of being held accountable, such as tossing out protesters and writing/backing sorry legislations - which, if they have any teeth at all will only be loop holed by the wealthy - so this square between two planets concerned with control and change is undergirding a lot of what's going on in the collective, including the protests.

Saturn/Pluto squares are times when superiors will not tolerate underlings' attempts to grasp control, and we see the impatience and resentment of a we're-fed-up protest by the people. Status and security are prime motivators for those in control and yes, they are feeling threatened by the opposition to their fulfilment of every wish to dominate others and to gather all resources within their Midas caves of greed.

So perhaps the poster child of the Saturn/Pluto square and its anti-societal effects can here be named: Wall Street wheeler-dealer Dick Cheney, who was born with the aspect in his natal chart. And the aspect kind of summarizes his freakish VP governing style, doesn't it?
