It's Draconid Meteor Time! October 8, 2011

Look up, for the Draconid Meteor Shower is all around us!

Space Weather News for Oct 7, 2011

DRACONID METEOR SHOWER: On Saturday, October 8th, Earth will pass through a network of dusty filaments shed by Comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner. Forecasters expect the encounter to produce anywhere from a few dozen to a thousand meteors per hour visible mainly over Europe, northern Africa and the Middle East. The meteors will stream from the northern constellation Draco--hence their name, the "Draconids."

Check SpaceWeather News for full coverage of the event including observing times and a live audio stream from a meteor radar. #

Political Astrology, the Age of Saturn, and the elusive Rule of Law

On America's Natal Chart, Saturnalia, and Ed Kohout

by Jude Cowell

Well, once mundane astrologer Ed Kohout commented on one of my recent posts, I discovered the articles he published in December 2008 and January 2009 concerning America's odd *Sibly natal horoscope, the US Constitution, the Masonic laying of cornerstones in DC, and the significance of Fixed Star Sirius in the US natal chart, among other topics.

Now what do modern politicians in Washington mean when they tout a return to "the rule of law"? Can they really intend mankind's regression to that Saturnian Age of old? Well, America's natal Saturn is exalted in Libra, sign of the Scales of Justice and the balancing thereof.

We're still working on getting that 'balance' part down pat so perhaps it's old fashioned of Capricorn me to assume it but doesn't the US Constitution already establish America under the rule of law?

Being birthed with Saturn in Libra gives our national character a conscientious, loyal, and industrious streak so how crazy that modern politicians seem intent on causing America's downfall (natal Saturn in 10th house of the Sibly chart = fall from grace if Saturnian responsibilities are ignored as Washington GOPers and their allies are determined to do, 2011) through lack of accountability for the guilty, breaking our social safety net contract/s between the generations and dissolving public institutions, and the rampant corruption to our capitalist core of governmental, financial, and other systems.

Concerning political "rule of law" references, Harry Reid is sometimes guilty of making them but G.H.W. Bush was fond of spouting the phrase, too--I can hear him now. Especially if I scroll down this blog's sidebar and watch the video of Bush Sr calling for a New World Order with a "credible United Nations", and "the rule of law--not the law of the jungle," as Poppy threatened in 1991 (or 1990--there is some disagreement on the date of his NWO utterances.)

Or, is someone trying to hide the date of Bush's famous NWO shout-out--"Sept 11, 1991"? That's ten years to the day of their "new Pearl Harbor" event that sent America into war and perpetual occupation of the Middle East, as long-planned by global-minded Vulcans. And our troops were sent there by way of lies, as usual--half-truths used as a tool for deception. How very Machiavellian of them.

Yes, politicians' "rule of law" references point us toward the Saturnian Age, aka, the
Golden Age of ancient mythology which seems to be the level of 'reality' upon which our Washington politicians operate within their privileged Beltway Bubble, doesn't it?

As you know, it's easy to be super-idealistic when you're physically removed from the problem and from the real-world consequences which your ideologies and actions set in motion--and that other people pay for.

How appropriate that I'm typing this post on Saturday--Saturn's Day--in a word, Sabbath. For as you know, the Vatican set up their Christ's Mass--'Christmas'--to coincide with the traditional date of the Saturnalia (at Winter Solstice) so 'the church' would gain in popular appeal amongst pagans who were feasting, dancing about the place, and not contributing to the pope's coffers.

So! If you're interested in America's founding and other such historical topics as seen through the useful lens of Political Astrology, check out Ed Kohout's Emersion: An Alternative Study of Electional Astrology in Political History without Saturnian delay.

And if you haven't, a visit to the Ed Kohout website may be overdue for there you'll soon spy Ed's excellent study of the mysterious Rosslyn Chapel along with brilliant mundane articles on the Astrology of America's Masonic (and I would add, Illuminati-Sionist Rosicrucian) beginnings.

Occupy Wall Street (Sat-Uran-Plu): Roll Back the Reagan Tax Cuts!

As I searched for a particular reference hidden in the almost 3,000 entries on this blog (whew!), I ran across a previous post detailing the frustrating yet dynamic Cardinal T-Square between Saturn/Uranus (in opposition) pointing toward an apex (focal) Pluto.

On one level, we could say that 'old' (Saturn) is being 'transformed' (Pluto) into 'new' (Uranus, and in Aries that means, 'Utopia'--but that's bosh!)

If you click, please scroll down a ways into the post for the explanation of the midpoint picture formed in May 2011 between three heavy-weight planets...

Saturn = the past, Time, tradition, form, function, age, systems, scaffolds, responsibility, accountability, restriction, constriction, boundaries, bones, skin, teeth, spinal column, the status quo, delay, decay, long term efforts, patience, perseverance, endurance, and such.

Uranus = the future, futurism, creative genius, sudden inspirations, innovation, behavior, originality, Science, Astrology, upheaval, upsets, restlessness, quickness, sudden shocks, lightening, electricity, like a bolt from the blue, group activities, disruption, The Witness (a 'sudden sense of self'), The Awakener (in Aries, Uranus = *Utopians, anarchists, and/or radicals with political inclinations), the Higher Octave/Frequency of Mercury, oddness, eccentricity, separation, and more.

And Pluto? You mean Mr. Underworld, the Dragon who guards the world's riches? The Oligarchy of plutocrats under which we toil and struggle as billions of people teeter on the brink of enslavement or extinction?

Well, he-who-employs-assassins has become tiresome to type about, frankly. Pluto is apex planet in the Cardinal T-Square pattern, and an ace manipulator of the high-powered corporate executive kind. The full Cardinal midpoint picture info may be found by clicking the link above, if you wish.

Actually, I'll go ahead and tell you my guess: that the midpoint pic's "rebellion against one's lot in life" sums up quite well the general motivation/s of the Occupy Wall Street protesters, don't you think? Our younger generations are the ones whose futures have been stolen, purloined, embezzled, and gambled away with verve and insouciance.

So where else should OWS protesters be than occupying Wall Street? America needs to cease her occupation of foreign lands though Corporate America wishes that we-the-people not pay attention to that very inconvenient, bought-on-credit-card fact. Seems global bankers are up to their old Rothschildian tricks: they make much more money by making 'loans' to governments and by pushing private debt and responsibilities onto the public ledger.

Wall Street, Main Street, Pennsylvania Avenue: Jupiter-Neptune-Saturn

In these difficult days, there are calls for the Philanthropy of Jupiter and Neptune, not the mean old-fashioned stinginess of a sour, grouchy Saturn. Wall Street gentry should want to take a closer look at themselves and their anti-social behavior--and the news for them is, I for one don't want their stanky money. But I do want their control of the US government to erode and their crimes to be addressed and tried in an honest courtroom, not a whitewashing one.

Plus, I believe that fair taxes should be levied to re-balance society's financial inequality for our see-saw has thudded to one side and we can't get off the ground--we are in a word, oppressed. So Roll Back the Reagan Tax Cuts or raise taxes on the wealthy 1% of Americans at least for a period of time--say, three to five years perhaps? And wouldn't it be logical if those in charge kept in mind the old "If that doesn't work, try something else" strategy, as FDR and others have often said and used.

Then blessings shall be showered all around!

Occupy Wall Street Protesters Boo CEOs but Mourn Steve Jobs.

Hurrah! The coming together of movements and groups in NYC such as Occupy Wall Street, Labor Unions such as the Nurses' Union, Code Pink, Civil Rights activists, Gay-Lesbian activists, and other organizations, groups, and persuasions (protests are now happening in 500 US cities and counting!) shows that the Global Spirit of Revolution has finally infected America big time and my prayer is that progressive reforms that lift up The People will sweep across the US and every land!

Jupiter/Neptune, ruler/co-ruler of Mystical Pisces = Religion/Spirituality and Grand Schemes

Watery Neptune is, after all, about to dip her toe again into the compassionate tides of Pisces...but where we ultimately wash up depends on how we handle things from now on.

Here's the usual-suspect list of the well-connected and the speculating Forbes 400. Discretion is advised.

Washington's Oath on a Wall Street Balcony and our First Amendment

George Washington's Wall Street meets Occupy Wall Street's First Amendment

by Jude Cowell

Have you ever noticed the horoscope for the ceremony of our very first presidential oath-taking on a Wall Street balcony at Federal Hall (26 Wall Street) just across from the NYSE building in lower Manhattan, NYC?

Among other factors, the horoscope shows a YOD pattern (special task; crossroads; turning point; crisis; paradox) on April 30, 1789 at 12:45 pm LMT which is the moment our then-Freemason-in-Chief of some wide repute, George Washington, elected to take the very first US Presidential Oath of Office.

And the same site, Wall Street's Federal Hall, is the place where the First Amendment was created and ratified, 222 years ago this very week. Here it is now:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

So, gathering their filly skirts about them, you'll find that the official website of Federal Hall now opens with a Notice saying that for the 'duration' of the Occupy Wall Street protests, the *front door of the site where President George Washington took the first-ever oath of office will be barricaded...yes, barricaded against The People.

It is within the nature of Temples to be defended. Of course.

Yet the Notice carries such an 18th century vibe, even for the chronically self-protective, I do declare! (My spats and top hat are at the cleaners, if you're wondering.) Guess the authorities are cooperating with the well-heeled of Wall Street in case something valuable needs guarding against the younger generation.

So if we look to Sabian Symbols for a descriptive word picture concerning the Occupy Wall Street presence of 2011 as they issue from the 1789 brouhaha that started the whole shebang and a branch of government--with a pageant on display upon a Wall Street balcony since our nation's capitol was then situated at Federal Hall NYC--therefore, we may wish to snoop using the one-degree-for-a-year method of looking at outcomes bwo evolutionary Symbols.

And because Astrology describes universal energy flowing in an AC-DC fashion--one of the following signifies on some level the protesters, the other the self-exalted swelled-heads whom the marchers and chanters wish to reach with a message of we-the-people's grievances against them and against the sorry ways in which American society has been run the last decade or so. We're so scammed.

(Time for a shout-out to Pres. Bill Clinton's 'free' trade frenzy that really got the outsourcing of US workers' jobs rockin' back in the 1990s. If millions more Americans had jobs that paid at the least a living wage, most of our financial issues would go poof!)

But wage setting is merely a goalpost the power elite keep moving at their will or fancy, but always to our detriment, after they've had The Creatives drape gauzy veils of political assurances over it to disguise their true intent. Don't look too closely!

Math Produces Symbol: **12 Scorpio

2011 - 1789 = 222 (7 signs = 210 + 12 degrees = 222 = 12 Scorpio) = "An Embassy Ball"...Keyword: DISPLAY; positive expression: an absolute stability of self as contribution to group integrity; negative (unconscious/shadow side): a smug demand for special privilege.

Like barricading Federal Hall against the rambling natives?

(The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Marc Edmund Jones; 'unconscious/shadow side' added by yours truly.)

*An instruction for using a side door is listed on the website. Which reminds me of self-protective Cancer, sign of The Crab, that will scuttle sideways (or through side doors) in order to avoid inconvenient (and possibly superior) challenges to its authority.

**Interestingly, Nicholas deVore gives '12Sco' as a degree of business in his Encyclopedia of Astrology (1947; Philosophical Library, New York.)

Eurosceptic MP Nigel Farage on Greekonomics (video); Pluto plods on

In an interview from June 2011, EU member of Parliament Nigel Farage speaks from Brussels on EU problems, the bailout of Greece and the EU's deeper motivation for it, and the misguided notion of creating a "United States of Europe" in the first place.

Personally I agree with Mr. Farage on many things including that men do seem to find it almost an impossibility to admit it when they are wrong.

Political Astrology speaks on the transits of July 28, 2011 that affected what I call the EU/NWO Flag Unfurled chart of July 14, 1989, a year you'll recognize for its titanic triple conjunction of Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in structural Capricorn in the 2--10 degree range (natal horoscope w transits shown.)

And if you track powerful manipulator Pluto in Capricorn, you may wish to consider the four midpoint pictures formed with the titanic trio of 1989 as Pluto approaches them and insinuates his invisible self within their midst, and eventually moves beyond them.

All apply to today's world, but the first picture, which has been in force for a while now, tells a major part of the 'United States of Europe' tale on its path toward rebuilding a 'global dominion' (aka, one world government) as the old order is threatened with collapse and ruin to make way for the new.

First, here are the trio's zodiacal positions in the EU Flag July 14, 1989horoscope:

Uranus 2Cap34; Saturn 9Cap45; Neptune 10Cap42 (posited in the 1989 horoscope's 4th house, set for noon)

Midpoints of 1989 alchemized and triggered by Pluto 2011:

1. Saturn/tr Pluto = Uranus: brutal efforts to start a new order, regardless of potential losses (as we now see, that would be other people's losses, not wealthy Pluto's! jc.)

2. Saturn/Uranus = tr Pluto: tremendous fear of loss; rebellion; upheaval to protect assets (Greece and elsewhere! jc.)

3. Uranus/Neptune = tr Pluto: the Big Picture demands a certain course of action which must be followed--very little option to do otherwise (bailouts of governments by global bankers, today's topic! jc.)

4. Saturn/Neptune = tr Pluto: feeling downtrodden; strong depression; great awareness of potential for loss; fear. (midpoint pics: Noel Tyl.)

And here's a general look at transit Pluto conjoining each of the Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune trio--I believe that all apply to current conditions:

Pluto to Uranus: the power of government must yield to the people (march on, everyone!); changes affect federal jobs and programs; issues of technological advancement and personal freedom.

Pluto to Saturn: structures and traditions upon which life is based are significantly altered or totally transformed by circumstances; issues of abuse of authority (confrontations), self-discipline, and accepting responsibility; ambition must be tempered with patience, resolve, and control.

Pluto to Neptune: circumstances denote economic, political, social, spiritual, and physical power struggles; social/genetic engineering and civil rights are seen to be moral and religious issues; power becomes an illusion as it is slowly eroded by subversive forces of the power-obsessed plutonians and oligarchs of the world.

So today is October 4, 2011, and tr Pluto @ 5Cap29 is snugged between 1989's Saturn and Uranus which is midpoint #2 above.

Astro-Link Round-Up on Occupy Wall Street w a 'Ferdinand the Bull' video!

Uranus/Pluto Rages as Ferdinand Hearts Occupy Wall Street 10.03.11

Did you know that on The Mountain Astrologer website today, expert astrologer Mary Plumb has published a News and Astrology article round-up of links concerning the ongoing and spreading (!) protests in progress in Manhattan of the Occupy Wall Street movement where I'm proud to say that America's younger generations (who are suffering from the thieving of Wall Street top hats wearers and champagne goblet toasters) and are not afraid to tell the fancy swells about their--our--grievances!

Mary includes images of America's natal horoscope, US Solar Return 2011, and a sunrise (solar) nativity for Occupy Wall Street set for its beginning: September 17, 2011 6:38:03 am edt NY, NY, with transiting Mars, the activist/protester/instigator, opposing US natal
Pluto 27Cap33 Rx (in US natal 2nd house of Money and Earning Ability.)

This transit of opposition marks a period when hostile forces are encountered (protesters v banksters, and riot police v we-the-people) with powerful, card-holding Pluto insuring a mobilizing effect, and the Mars/Pluto combination of energies relating to zeal, massive amounts of energy, heavy-handed police or military actions, and potentially explosive conditions.

Yes, this is the very contest of wills which this transit warns us against yet that is precisely what is happening in NYC, plus, the protests are spreading like...a contagion of a more positive kind than Gwyneth Paltrow can muster onscreen.

The interference of protesting Mars with business-as-usual and the attempt of the street marchers to change the status quo are at the foundation of Occupy Wall Street's motivations and resulting events as many journalists and pundits echo an off-the-point Establishment cry of "But what do they want?" (duh!) and "They have no leader" and "there's no one-pointed goal," with Mars, ruler of Aries, the poster boy for me-first-ism and pioneerism...but The Angry One is in more than a passing snit over continued Wall Street fraud and outright corporate deception as our lives and futures are co-opted by conglomerates more powerful than in their initial heyday of the Robber Baron Era of the 1880s and 1890s.

With Mars opposite US natal Pluto in Saturn-ruled Capricorn (business, government, law--all of which institutions the protesters and marchers are riling up in an unusual fashion--Uranus square Pluto), the movement if imprinted by this opposition to the people's desires (Mars) and its heartfelt sentiments are palpable and arouse Wall Street's antagonism and deep sense of self-protection (Saturn = boundaries and rules; Cancer = the canny self-protection of The Crab who will move sideways, if necessary, to escape and avoid.)

Now regardless of pepper-spray-in-face Tony Baloney's overreaction, the NYC police force has pension worries of its own thanks to fraud and embezzlement by corporate and government types--wonder if they know they're on the wrong side? Actually, police and other city officials are on the proverbial horns of a dilemma for their paychecks must be signed to be deposited even as the Wall Street Bull snorts its disapproval of the grass roots goings-on.

My opinion is that an honest and direct approach may shine a favorable light upon those who are involved in the Occupy Wall Street protests and indeed this manner of doing things in a peaceful way is the only chance to gain an upper hand through taking the moral high ground.

Goodness knows, Wall Street CEOs and their agents, minions, and operatives haven't a clue how to proceed along such a decent path without being lead by their comfort-loving noses like Disney's Ferdinand the Bull smelling flowers...

My Q for you: Aren't you loving the old films and photos (and history info) in Ken Burns' Prohibition which began showing on PBS last evening, Sunday? It's a three-part series detaili, somehting which must come from within. Astonsishingly, a majority of Americans in those days drank day and night but most brew weren't as strong as they are today.

Wish I could tell Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and any proto-fascists such as the corporate-backed Tea Party hierarchy crowd, and all Federalist Society disciples that their tiresome scapegoat tactic (it's them, not us) of 'projecting the shadow upon others; not being accountable or held accountable' has worn papery thin and we're fed up with wealthy, globally-inclined bankers and monarchists jerking our country around by her Aquarian nose. Even with transit Neptune, planet of loss, fraud, and delusion, still languishing near US natal Moon @ '28AQ' (we-the-people)--we are so over your sorry ways!

Now what a nasally post about the upturned snoots of Wall Street this turned out to be. Still, Mary Plumb's chart analyses are not-to-be-missed (thanks for the SO'W link, Mary!)

Plus, on a lighter note, I do hope you'll enjoy a little flowery Ferdinand just for old times' sake because...

2011 minus 1938 equals this Ferdinand cartoon is 73 years old! jc

Global Astrology: October 2011 Economic Forecast now online

Just a heads-up for all appreciate an overview of current societal conditions as seen through the lens of planetary cycles and explained with a global perspective by mundane astrologer Theodore White. His October 2011 Forecast includes financial information and is accessible here.

Plus, thanks to Theodore, you'll spy my own Autumn Equinox 2011 analysis with its horoscope set for Washington DC, the place from which the American people should be able to expect effective government to issue from (especially with our tiresome tendency to boss around the governments of other nations) but which in the New Millennium has brought more trouble and grief rather than solutions, and more corruption than we once may have thought possible.

Now there are several reasons for this crashing turn of events including the desire of certain people to collapse our nation and rebuild it "better"--in their 'humble' opinions. Yet I suppose the old adage, 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' might apply if the breaking--and the people's suffering which results--weren't being perpetrated on purpose by plutonian operatives of a global crime syndicate, The Octopus, as NY Mayor John F. Hylan once termed it because its tentacles reached into every institution and agency--and in 2011, the corruption and its 'reach' are even deeper.

How Soon We Forget--At Our Peril, Turns Out

John Hylan once informed the American people that:

"The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities states and nation. At the head is a small group of banking houses generally referred to as 'international bankers.' This little coterie...run our government for their own selfish ends. It operates under cover of a self-created screen...[and] seizes...our executive officers...legislative bodies...schools...courts...newspapers and every agency created for the public protection."

John Francis Hylan (April 20, 1868 - January 12, 1936), Mayor of New York City from 1918 to 1925.

And here's a link to a newspaper article with Hylan's warnings which displays an actual image of the article from February 17, 1933 and quotes Hylan as faulting the "utter selfishness of big bankers who have brought the world to the verge of collapse."

As the French often say, 'The more things change, the more they stay the same'. But they say it in French.

For more reading on economic topics through an astrological lens, you may wish to check out the Horoscope for 1929's Black Tuesday crash which was also orchestrated by big bankers and which saddled the world with the Great Depression. In October 1929, 'moneybags' planet Jupiter was retrograde but in Air sign Gemini, and not in Earthy money sign Taurus as The Great Benefic is now. Somehow the difference is not at all comforting for the global economy in 2012 and beyond. jc

Global Revolution link to Livestream of Occupy Wall Street protests

This Global Revolution link will take you to a Livestream video of the Occupy Wall Street protests which are not just for Manhattan anymore as other US cities join in v corporate elite banksters and gangsters...in a word, thieves.

Yes, the ongoing planetary Cardinal Grand Cross of revolt and upheaval and its attendant on-again-off-again T-Squares of blockage and frustration are really revving up the populace to demonstrate for truth, justice, and civil rights in earnest now--even in our usually placid America.

And astrological Pluto (favorite planet of wealthy plutocrats whether they know it or not) is at the base of the blockages, injustices, and thieving as Mr. Underworld acts from status quo Capricorn.
