Winter Solstice 2017: a Neptune and Sun-Saturn Season

DC Horoscope Winter Solstice December 21, 2017: Watery Neptune Ascends and then...

That nebulous, scandal-plagued, hider of secrets, Neptune, rises at Winter Solstice 2017 in Washington, DC and considering the administration of Donald Trump, it seems his first year (barely holding) office will end much as it began--clouded by leaks and shrouded in mysteries with questions of fraud and conflicts of interests on America's menu as We The People move into 2018 with our actual needs and concerns, for the most part, unaddressed.

Now as an astrologer of sorts, I tend to think of higher octave planets as co-rulers or sub-rulers of their respective signs and can't quite bring myself to tag Neptune as 'chart-ruler' here. But the original or traditional ruler of Pisces, Jupiter, is very much so, though perhaps in a Piscean secretive and/or confused sort of way (rather than Jupiter's rulership of its own sign Sagittarius would suggest).

Yet expansive Jupiter's many potential roles in a mundane chart include politician, The General, thespian, banker, investor, CEO, judge, lawyer, mentor, and other masks that pertain to Politics, Religion, or Business.

Plus, as astrologers know, there is one curious thing about soft, mutable Pisces in a mundane sense -- military generals are quite often born under the sign with General George Washington as our primary example. And since America in 2017 is under attack by monster storms and floods once again, we may expect more oceanic actions from Neptune rising, chart-ruler or not, with plenty of confusion, scandals, leaks, corruption, lies, and fraud involved as well.

First, Let's Talk About Solar Eclipses

Now the 1 North August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse manifested in fiery Leo and was coined as 'The Great American Eclipse' by NASA, if memory serves. But did this manifestation of a 1 North Solar Eclipse trigger the fires which have consumed large ares of the West Coast and inland where the eclipse first 'hit' the US as its path of totality raced across our country and took its leave by way of South Carolina? How about hurricanes, typhoons, and floods in the US and across the globe?

As you know, natural disasters often accompany heavy-duty eclipses and total eclipses are the strongest instigators of all. Yet one theme of a 1 North eclipse is: information is distorted and possibly false (Brady) just as it was in 2001 to 2003 in order to finagle the American people under false pretexts into a Middle East war of plunder, racketeering, and conquest. Plus, the government's tactical use of fear is the usual accomplice in these bogus matters, as you know. Exs: the 9/11/01 attacks, "mushroom cloud", "WMD"...you remember Vulcan 'VP' Cheney and the 1% gang's neocon lies. Anyway, their lies are examples of events that demonstrate 1 North's 'info is distorted and possibly false' theme.

Winter Solstice 2017 and Sun-Saturn Energies

And since 1 North first manifested on January 4, 1639 @13Cap48--opposite what turned out to be America's natal Sun position (POTUS), the August 21, 2017 Solar Eclipse in Sun-ruled Leo should be viewed through a (1639) Saturn-ruled Capricorn lens which in 2017 into 2018 provides a Sun-Saturn signature to events and activities which can be clearly seen in the Winter Solstice 2017 horoscope via Saturn entering its own sign of Capricorn conjunct the Solstice Sun (@00Cap00, a Cardinal World Point of Manifestation).

When Karmic Saturn pairs its restrictive energies with the Sun, at least two other Sun-Saturn signatures resonate with this chart and they both relate to current events:

America's natal Sun-Saturn square which denotes potentials for hard work and planning paying off, taking responsibility seriously, karma (reaping what was sown), separation/isolation, a lack of vitality; perseverance, determination. This 'presidential-and-lawmaker' square forms the base of a Fist of God (aka, a Thor's Hammer pattern) aimed directly at US natal Moon (We The People, if you use a late Aquarius position for our national Moon-- here on SO'W we'll soon consider the Solar Eclipse that 'hits' this natal Moon position on February 15, 2018 @27AQ).

Potential expressions of Sun-Saturn = Moon: instinctual caution and self-control; sensitivity to otherwise rigid frameworks; discipline in daily activities (Munkasey); fear; feeling inferior; emotional depression in part due to organic disturbance (Ebertin) (from lack of health insurance and much needed medical care? - jc.) Manipulating and controlling the American public is one of the primary goals of this pattern.

Expert astrologer and author Michael Munkasey, in his section on Politics and Business, adds the following Hegelian dialectic for Sun-Saturn:

Thesis: Form and definition in an enterprise; the will of the people as defined in the principal founding documents; the checks and balances within enterprises as implemented by various administrations.

Antithesis: Pessimism and gloom as a center focus of policy; unreasonable centralization of authority in one location; a leadership preoccupied with the various forms of law enforcement; older and more distanced leaders. (Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets, Munkasey)

Another Sun-Saturn signature now in force: transit Saturn's off-and-on-again visit to Donald Trump's natal planets: conjunct his natal Moon (which conjoins his natal South Node of the Moon, a Saturnian, separative conjunction denoting emotional distance, bad timing, and unpopularity with and odd attitudes toward women) and simultaneously Saturn's opposition to his natal Sun (ego, pride, goals, hero's journey) when failure to live up to his promises and a neglect of responsibilities leads to discouragement from authorities and a lack of success with his objectives, murky as they may seem.

What Jupiter Sextile Pluto Reveals

Now let's consider the chart-ruler's applying aspects to see how things will proceed from December 21, 2017 into 2018. Since I've already excluded Neptune as chart-ruler (but see Neptune's two primary aspects, below), let's look at expansive Jupiter @15Scorpio, the Eagle Point, posited in the 8th house of Corporations, CEOs, Shared Finances, Credit and Debt. Jupiter applies to only one Ptolemaic aspect in the chart, a sextile (60 degrees; 3A19) with powerful Pluto. If we consider the two planets as 'actors' in a scene we discover that Jupiter sextile Pluto denotes those who sabotage themselves by their rigid opinions, secretiveness, evasiveness, willfulness, inflexibility, and an obsessive fear of loss. In addition, they have a hard time letting go of old relationships which no longer serve or are now inappropriate, and are desperate to overcome feelings of vulnerability. Living by their own rules, their focus on loyalty or its lack can trigger problems in friendships and other alliances.

Taking offense when not treated with dignity, a Jupiter-Pluto sextile suggests those who continue to be motivated by past slights which are never forgotten, another example of being unable to let go. Good at psychological warfare and taking pride in their self-reliance, they often must face their losses and crises alone for others may abandon them, plus, they are reluctant to ask for help from other people. Another inability to let go is seen by a lack of forgiveness for those who withhold information from them or who misinform them in order to keep them 'in the dark' (Epstein). After all, knowledge is power.

Then if we consider the applying Jupiter sextile Pluto aspect by transit, it denotes a time of analyzing one's skills and talents with the goal of using them more efficiently in order to benefit from this helpful energy. Opportunities may arise for increasing one's power and control or for understanding how this may be achieved (Skalka). And naturally with contacts between Jupiter and Pluto we tend to think of people who promote large-scale projects (exs: infrastructure, wall construction, etc), wealthy donors, other huge investors, global bankers and financiers--and power-hungry plutocrats.

Winter Solstice 2017 for Mr. Trump

Now if you are familiar with the Solar Return 2017 horoscope of Donald Trump, you know that 00Cap00 falls within his SR 3rd house of Communications, Siblings, Short Journeys, and the Lower Mind. (Thanks, Pat, for catching mea culpa!) So one topic we might think of is his older sister Maryanne, a judge (via judgmental Saturn, the old man/woman, with Donald playing the solar role). Another thing that first occurs to everyone's mind when it comes to Donald Trump is communications--speeches, tweets, insults, and all so I shall leave it for you to decide how he may best use the astrological energies of Winter Solstice 2017 and beyond into 2018.

Perhaps a future SO'W post concerning Trump's Inauguration Solar Return 2018 will soon appear here--assuming that he continues in the role of POTUS until January 20, 2018 without hitching a ride on the helicopter of ignominy!

As you see, evasive Neptune is involved in two applying aspects in the above chart:

1. Mercury square Neptune (1A27) which echoes Mr. Trump's problematic Mercury-Neptune square of distorted perceptions, falsehoods, confused rhetoric, over-promising, indiscretion, and "the sneaky mind" (Oken); 2. Mars trine Neptune (3A59) denoting potentials for successful but hidden activities, investigations of the occult or perhaps probing into mysteries or crimes, medical breakthroughs, increased intuition or insight, and/or energetic work with charities, entertainment, oil or gas industries, marine life projects, photography pursuits, prison systems, military projects, the Internet, work in or against Big Pharma, and/or action concerning the trafficking of drugs and/or sex workers.

But wait! There's one more chart factor that relates directly to current events and that's the Earth-Air Sun Cap-Moon AQ blend of energies which 'click into place' as soon as the Sun reaches 00Cap00. You see, this blend has at least two former US presidents born under its influences--Woodrow Wilson and Richard Nixon. It's a blend of a "practical idealist" who is "up front' yet private, very ambitious, and has a good business sense. In their book Sun Sign-Moon Sign, the Harveys give two interesting Images for Integration for this blend:

"An historian points the way to the future...Having struggled unaided to the peak, a mountaineer hitches a ride on a passing helicopter." Wonder if this can possibly mean that Mr. Trump will follow the example of the resigning Mr. Nixon...?

DC Horoscopes 2017: Autumn EQ and Winter Solstice

For the sake of comparison and because someone asked me nicely here are two 'DC Horoscopes', both 'coming soon' to Washington DC and thus to the rest of America:

Autumn Equinox Sept 22, 2017 (aka, Libra Ingress) 4:02 pm edt:

There are various reasons why this date in September is significant to Washington DC, some going back to its founding and before via certain founders' Freemasonry practices and rituals, Sacred Geometry, Venus worship, and other secret societies and 'higher' oaths taken. One obvious one for astrologers who use a natal horoscope of America set for July 4, 1776 at 5:09 pm is that this timing places the Aries Point on the IC and 00Libra00 at Midheaven (MC) where the Sun shines at Autumn Equinox each year. That the Venus-ruled sign of Libra is half of the Aries-Libra axis of war, diplomacy, partnership, and luxury has bearing as well. And as you see, 25Cap15 rises which brings along US natal Pluto Rx (27Cap33) with transit Pluto already risen and the transiting South Node of the Moon in 1st house, a difficult indicator of separation, unpopularity, and potential loss.

Before or around Winter Solstice each year the varmints and culprits of Congress have cleared out of the City on a Hill and left the place to its actual residents. Having been such a resident twice in my life, I can attest to the magical quality of a District of Columbia blanketed with snow and to the fact that even in the headquarters of worldly power in the US, the spiritual vibrations prevalent at this time of year cannot be completely squelched by DC's political corruption, cynicism, and downright unkindness. But politicians do sometimes seem to sport Grinch frowns on their mugs, don't they?

So let's forget all that! How about a higher view of Winter Solstice, one of the four times of the year that some say represent a spiritual path to awakening? Especially since, imho, America and the American people would definitely benefit from a major spiritual awakening right now! Oh but let's remember to hang on to the very important part where the country is founded on Religious Freedom, shall we?

The September 6th Full Moon perfects @13Pis53 at 3:02/03 am edt. This Full Moon reflects upon fixed star Achernar @14Pisces (a Eridani; The Cherub and the Sword) with its themes of: 'royal honors; success in public office' (DeVore); and 'crisis at the end of the river' (Brady). Unfortunately, the good people of Texas and Louisiana know all too much about flooding and crisis but not so much about 'royal honors'.

On a personal note, Tracy at Tracy's Astro Salon writes of the Pisces Full Moon, "..on September 6 we have the Pisces Full Moon (and it) is yet another call back to the eclipse on August 21st. Sep 3, 2017: Mercury Rx activates 1N August Solar Eclipse

Here you see a horoscope set for the White House of the moment that transit Mercury rx (turns direct Sep 5) hits the precise degree of The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 @28Leo32:56 in the 1 North Saros Series. And with Mars @29Leo12, the warrior planet has just conjoined the precise eclipse degree himself and is, as you know, the quarrel loving Donald Trump's rising planet natally (Mars 26Leo+). Also note that a 1 North Solar Eclipse was the Prenatal Eclipse of the 9/11/01 WTC attacks.

Yes, I've stuffed quite a bit of basic and other chart info onto the horoscope so please enlarge the image if you wish to check it out for not all will be mentioned in the text, below. Shaded green is the area Mercury holds sway in 12th, 1st, 4th, and 5th houses (Jupiter intercepted in 5th h, Uranus intercepted in 11th h--Jupiter-Uranus opposition = political conflicts) which then key their opposite houses: 6th, 7th (Saturn conj Trump's Moon-SN), 10th, and 11th. A neglected listing is the transiting South Node conjunct MC (status and reputation) and transit Moon (public mood) suggesting a lack of popularity and the public's disappointment and separative emotions over Trump's desultory performance.

But why do I display this particular horoscope and what is the significance of communicator Mercury hitting the eclipse degree? My reason is based on the fact that part of the theme of a 1 North Solar Eclipse is: "information is distorted and possibly false" (Predictive Astrology, B. Brady).

And of course, Mercury is intimately associated with information and, in its trickster element, with falsehoods, lies, and delusions. This reminds me of Mr. Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square ("the sneaky mind" - Oken), a distorted pairing full of off-kilter perceptions and wrong assumptions which doesn't balk at using subterfuge and innuendo to achieve its owner's aims. With this aspect, indiscretion is (Sun-NN-Uranus in chatty Gemini) Mr. Trump's middle name! Many of his 'leaks' are unconscious, of course, but I want to believe that he could do better as he plays the role of US president! Actually, he must be mighty depressed and perhaps pessimistic about now with transit Saturn @21Sag15, stomping his natal Moon (emotions) and South Node, a Saturnian point of separation. (Guess via old man Saturn he's experiencing how most of the world feels about him.)

Be that as it may, you see in the horoscope that Mr. Trump's natal Uranus rises in this chart which suggests his typical unpredictable, eccentric, off-kilter responses to up coming events, opinions, and criticisms; Uranus will bring Trump's North Node (encounters; direction) and Sun (ego; pride) with it.

So not only does transit Mercury activate the implications of the 1 North Solar Eclipse that split America from Oregon to South Carolina in August and which conjoined precisely the natal Ascendant of Donald Trump, but Mercury is the chart-ruler during this, an Hour of Mercury. As chart-ruler we find Mercury making only one applying Ptolemaic aspect--a trine to tech-savvy, rebellious, novelty loving reformer Uranus (a zealous Utopian anarchist when in Mars-ruled Aries - Ebertin). Emphasized, as you see, is a full 4th house of Roots and Foundation of the Matter but also of The Drain. Does this remind you of Hurricane Harvey's destructive effects on the good people of Louisiana and Texas and the continued flooding? Very sorry to say, me too.

Specifically, this Mercury-Uranus trine forming (0A25) indicates that many ideas and communications now concern large societal issues which relate to personal interests (and as you know, there are multiple such issues in discussion). Meetings should be fairly easy to organize and unexpected benefits may be gained via information discovered or through certain people attempting to impress us (or Trump) with their ideas and opinions (2 exs: the media; political partisans). Successful activities may include international finance, scientific and technical areas, air travel, and/or the societal issues cited (- Skalka).

As you notice, success with 'international finance' is on the list yet investigations (Mercury) concerning Mr. Trump's troubles via foreign banks and countries such as Russia (plus, China and Germany, I would add) have a ways to go before Trump's name and reputation are cleared of such a stain if indeed it ever can be.

May 15, 2018 Uranus Enters Taurus; 2023 Pluto into Aquarius

May 15, 2018: Expect the Unpredictable: Uranus First Enters Venus-Ruled Taurus

In Astrology, Uranus is considered unpredictable, erratic, eccentric, separative, electric, eclectic, progressive, reforming, novelty loving, intense, disruptive, independent, a rebel and a fighter for freedom. In mundane charts US Uranus (8Gem55) is America's 'war planet' of revolution and revolt. Coming between the American and French Revolutions, the 1781 Discovery of Uranus by amateur astronomer William Herschel is an oft-told tale and one that may soon be made more newsworthy by the fact that on May 15, 2018 at 11:17 am edt, the quirky maverick of a planet will leave Aries in the Tropical Zodiac and enter the Venus-ruled sign of Taurus the Bull. Money, materialism, possessiveness, intolerance, and greed are the negative keywords of Taurus with growth, building, designing, and stability the more positive traits usually mentioned. (Noting that it's the love of money that is the root of all evil, not money itself).

In November 2018, transit Uranus re-enters Aries, turns Direct in early January 2019, then lurches into Taurus again on or about March 7, 2019.

Uranus from Aries to Taurus; Pluto from Capricorn to Aquarius

Now as you know, with Uranus lurching through Mars-ruled Aries since 2010, we've been seeing and experiencing much of what Reinhold Ebertin describes as Utopians, blind zealots, radical reformers, fanatics, and anarchists brashly and stubbornly expressing themselves within the Collective, their ambitions often shown via sudden outbursts of energy and violence, plus, efforts to enforce their 'against the mainstream' ideas.

So how will Uranus in Taurus affect societal conditions as surely it must? Uranus is the only one of our solar system's three outer (transpersonal) planet that will change signs until transit Pluto, planet of power, wealth, and stealth, leaves governmental Capricorn and enters Aquarius while simultaneously trodding upon America's inaugural Sun (00AQ+ = POTUS in our January 20th Inauguration horoscopes--assuming America will have another president).

And then for the first time in approximately 248 years, transit Pluto reaches 00AQ00 during the third week of March 2023, retrogrades on or about June 2, 2023, then it's backwards into Capricorn (triggering 29Cap, a critical degree) for a while until power wielding Pluto, the saboteur, re-enters Aquarius on or about January 22, 2024. Transit Pluto to US Inaugural Sun (POTUS) suggests a new start or a different lifestyle than before for the Oval office occupant-in-chief. Of course Pluto breaks down in order to 'build anew upon the ruins', plus, things are always unpredictable and disruptive with Uranus, so few if any people have a clear idea of how damaged the US presidency may turn out to be as long as the eccentric Uranian Mr. Trump plays and tweets the role into laughing stock territory. (Some hidden power behind the throne wanted him there to hobble America!)

Now as you know, Pluto in Capricorn suggests a strong archetypal image of The Dictator (Ebertin) and it's interesting that America was founded while manipulator Pluto, of the invisible cape, was in the sign of Saturn-ruled Capricorn, in late degrees. However, Pluto in scientific, futuristic Aquarius exhibits a different picture entirely for a Uranian flavor is added to Pluto via Aquarius. According to Reinhold Ebertin, Pluto in Aquarius is about those displaying any, all, or none of the following expressions: a wealth of plans, a strong communal sense, the urge to reform, popularity, life advancement through the help of other people, and/or a potential for exaggerated plans and hopes.

So there's a small portrait of Uranus moving into the fixed energies of Taurus and Pluto doing the same and moving into the fixed, more rigid sign of Aquarius.

Partisan Politics - How to Solve the Problem

If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend that you do so, as its purpose is to explain why the events that are going on right now are happening, as well as archive some very important knowledge in one place.

Over the last few years, the divide and conquer game that has been implemented by the elites has become very prominent. Pro life vs. pro choice, gay marriage vs. traditional marriage, creationism vs. evolution, rich vs. poor, liberal vs. conservative, capitalism vs. socialism, white vs. minority, flat earth vs. round earth, etc. Like I've mentioned before, all of this is to distract us from the real enemy, the elites, also known as the Illuminati.

And it's destroying our society

While the Democratic and Republican parties have existed for years, the friction between the left and the right has never been greater. A lot of it is because both parties are prioritizing the needs of the party over the needs of the general population, but we need to take a lot of the blame as well. We're supposed to be the UNITED States of America, yet we're letting the divide and conquer game and party politics tear us apart, when our leaders are taking orders from the "deep state". It wouldn't even surprise me if events like Charlottesville were planned for the purpose of taking away our freedom of speech. After all, the Obama years were full of false flag attacks designed to try and implement gun control, and the Patriot Act was signed suspiciously shortly after 9/11, making it likely that it was written prior to the attack.

How do we solve this problem?

In my Left Wing Astrology blog, I expanded on Alan Lin's theory of identifying political ideology in the natal chart to include the charts of celebrities, local and state politicians, and people I know, while using my knowledge of how to determine people's rising signs. In my expansion, the theory still holds up in a big way. This proves that people are naturally liberal or conservative, as well as naturally ethical. If this method becomes mainstream knowledge, we can avoid electing ethically bankrupt politicians, which a large amount of the GOP and Democratic "establishment" politicians are. If we understand that our political differences are shown in our natal charts, we'd then understand that there is no right or wrong ideology, which would put an end to the divide and conquer game immediately. After all, an economic crash or loss of freedom of speech will effect everyone, not just the left or the right.

To put it shortly, we need to put our differences aside, not fall for the divide and conquer game, and unite against the real enemy that has enslaved all of us for over 200 years.
