Today's edition of SpaceWeather News features a remarkable 3D movie of the International Space Station (ISS) recorded by French astrophotographer Thierry Legault. No special glasses are required to see the ISS pop out of your screen in amazing detail.

The movie will whet your appetite for a weekend of bright spaceships and planets.

On Friday, May 14 at 2:20 pm EDT, space shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to launch from Kennedy Space Center on its final voyage to the ISS. An on-time liftoff would set the stage for an incredible sky show. On Saturday and Sunday, May 15 and 16, many observers will be able to see Atlantis and the ISS flying past Venus and the crescent Moon in the evening sky.

Organizations across the US are engaging in "housing liberation" and "housing defense" to exercise their human rights to housing.

Here are a few examples.#

Mr. Quigley's article concerning various US cities moving people into bank-foreclosed housing reminded me of the upcoming July 11, 2010 Solar Eclipse in Cancer, sign of home, housing, real estate, domestic scene, business, and security.

In DC, the July 11 Eclipse occurs in the 8th house of Credit, Debt, Banking, and large amounts of money, and the Eclipse is in the same Series as America's Pre-Natal Eclipse @ 00Pis33 (12S, Feb 19, 1776), the position of transiting Chiron now.

The idea of making use of empty houses for those who need shelter is something I had not considered when I wrote of the dissolving effects of the current Neptune-to-US Moon transit, with mundane Moon representing The People; Neptune = dissolving, deceptive, and fraudulent forces (including the media; on other levels: oil, gas, water, ideals, the Divine Source, etc.)

And the Deepwater Horizon oil platform?

Neptune as deepwater also relates to the April 20, 2010 'blowout' in the Gulf of Mexico as a water catastrophe in the homeland (Moon), and Jupiter in Pisces (sign of the sea) describes the expansive 'blowout' since Jupiter broadens 'horizens'.

So depending on which US natal chart you use (n Moon 18 - 28 AQ), Neptune-to-US-Moon has been affecting us for some time with its sense of rootlessness and of being robbed. What I've written previously concerned the phenomenon of people leaving the keys in the mailbox and walking away from their upside down mortgages, and foreclosures (loss of home.)

Adding to the picture of despair and loss has been the recent transit of restrictive Saturn's grim reality to US natal Neptune 22Vi25 (hopes, dreams, illusions) with both planets bringing their own sort of loss and sadness.

My point today is that the movements across the country (as mentioned in Mr. Quigley's article) to set up the unsheltered among us in sitting-empty houses sounds to me like a great way to 'use' these difficult transits and make lemon out of lemonade. Empty houses do no good in any neighborhood, do they?

For after all, Housing is a Human Right!

And if besting our greedy, deceitful banks should occur simultaneously, then 'housing liberation' is an excellent and useful solution on behalf of we-the-people as it positively expresses that housing (Moon) is a basic human right which is a noble Neptunian ideal!

Kagan supports media censorship

President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan supports media censorship including the internet but which may or may not include books!

A Blog Note: last evening I wrote a post on Kagan's natal chart but when I published it to my Wordpress blog, the post was eaten alive by web gremlins. You know, the more I read about former Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan the more she sounds like a NWO shill like the rest of them. No surprise, really. Just thought I'd share that disappointment with you.

When does Pres. Obama's Progressed Sun reach 00Lib00?

Having been asked to find the date that President Obama's Secondary Progressed Sun will reach 00Lib00:00, I searched out August 24, 2010. Sec Ic = 2Lib29; Sec Moon 13Pis11 in 9th house; Hour of Jupiter 27Cap19 Rx in 7th house conjunct Saturn 23Cap15 Rx. Sec Chiron 3Pis02 Rx has just crossed 9th cusp 3Pis10, into Sec 8th house.

Relocating the president's progressions for the White House, his chart shows 19Can41 rising with Fixed Star Castor. This is the degree of the July 11, 2010 Solar Eclipse from the 12 South Series: successful outcomes to long term worries. (Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

However, by progression, Mr. Obama can't seem to rid himself of a worrisome midpoint picture which has been mentioned here before:

Saturn/NN = Neptune: confusing others about one's personal stand; deception, fraud, and lies; having to pay a price for help given that is more than expected. (As in, "One day you'll be called on to return a favor"??)

Well, as you know, 00Lib00 will put Mr. Obama's Sec Sun at US natal Midheaven 00Lib43 (Sibly chart) and it's in line to conjunct his own Sec Mars/Pluto midpoint in 2012:

Mars/Pluto = Sun: upset of plans that is irredeemable; a passionate attack to achieve one's objectives; hard, hard work; working until collapse; taking violent measures; shock caused through the intervention from a Higher Power.

The 'Image for Integration' for the Air-Water Sun Libra-Moon Pisces blend is:

Has Elena Kagan 'coddled the Saudis'?

Has President Obama's SCOTUS nominee Elena Kagan coddled the Saudis and protected them from being sued by our 9/11 families and survivors?

Well, if she did, she did it by direction from the president.

And I wouldn't expect our patootie-covering Congress to care one jot since the lack of a trial keeps the question of Saudi finances under wraps along with possible US government involvement in the attacks of 9/11, and some unsavory reciprocal financial deals that would stink up the place if not kept under a tight seal.

Guess it's just one win-win situation after another when the crooks are in charge!

Ascending in the New Moon horoscope, we see 4Sag35, therefore we look to chart-ruler Jupiter's applying aspects to glean how events may proceed as the darkened Moon gains in light until culmination at the Full Moon of May 27 (6Sag33 @ 7:07:15 pm edt Capitol Bldg; Sun conjunct Pan 6Sag37, a trickster element which may suggest a level of panic; Sun in a mundane chart = the leader; Moon = the populace.)


May 13's New Moon chart-ruler, Jupiter, makes three applying aspects:

1. opposition Saturn (1A47; almost exact - 10 years on, this is the fulfillment or culminating stage of May 28, 2000's Great Conj of Jupiter and Saturn @ '23Tau' which heralded the New Millennium's out-of-control greed and corruption; also, Jup = Rs, Sat = Ds);

2. sextile Sun and Moon (3A08); (Moon sextile Jupiter = the Ray of Hope aspect, says Alan Oken; Sun sextile Jupiter = our leader may travel afar, and approach his goals with a new enthusiasm));

3. conjunct Uranus (3A14) @ 00Ari18 on June 8, 2010; Uranus = AP indicates a time of historic breakthroughs in Science, Genetics, Explorations, Religion and Philosophy, Technology, Finances, Politics, Arts, Astrology, and more...these possibilities are expanded or increased by Jupiter's presence with Uranus @ AP.

As you see, there are many factors worth noting in the New Moon chart including the influence of the earthy, materialistic sign of Taurus and its underbelly traits of intolerance and greed. But since you, dear reader, know a bunch about Taurean traits already, I shall skip to the one planetary pattern configured here in the New Moon horoscope: the Mutable Fixed Square between the opposition of Jupiter and Saturn and an apex Venus 22Gem48 in 7th house of Partnership, Legal Affairs, and Open Enemies.

First, their midpoint picture, some of which is notated on the chart (with mdpt credit due to those mentioned above); I am leaving out the romantic implications for the sake of Political Astrology...

Jup/Sat = Venus: hypersensitivity about one's ego-position; a lack of endurance or tenaciousness; discontent; increased appreciation for the value of planning and organization; a touch of reserve; jealousy about recognition given to others.

When Venus (values; evaluations; relationships; attractions; smaller amounts of money; revenge) is the apex or focal planet in a Mutable T-Square, we find persons who may be social butterflies possessing strong drives toward sociability and/or social awareness.

Yet values may not be compatible with those attracted so relationships present challenging problems with emotional tensions, jealousies, and feelings of inequality. Apex Venus in T-SQ expects things to come easy with little or no effort since constant satisfaction is desired; complacency, laziness, and passivity are cautions.

In a Mutable T-SQ, apex Venus indicates one who is fickle and uncertain of personal values; 'space' to emotionally breathe within partnerships is deemed a necessity, and the ability to come and go as one pleases is a must due to the restlessness of the Mutable quality.

Yet if Venusian energies are well-managed in a Mutable T-SQ, diplomacy and fair play may result.

The Ideal is sought, and the stability of having staid Saturn within the T-SQ helps apex Venus stick around long enough to resolve conflicts caused by the blocking squares (90 degrs) from both Jupiter and Saturn...

Venus SQ Jupiter = indulgent and careless about responsibilities; outgoing when things are going well but obstinate and hard to deal with when they are not; in dealings with people compromise and adjustments are offered yet these may be empty gestures; resentful if forced to act; tends to be demanding; deceptive tactics may be resorted to in order to gain attention; skillful communications abilities are the greatest asset; feels suspicious of others' hostility, and anxious that they will try to take advantage; not overly generous due to a belief that generosity is 'not really appreciated'.

Venus SQ Saturn = difficulties in relating to others; meeting them halfway must be learned; feels left out of the mainstream's social situations; unwilling to accept responsibility; on the defensive and concerned that others will make too many demands; needs to chillax, indulge in less self pity, and cooperate with others; indicates difficult work environments especially in fields of banking, finance, real estate, insurance, law, trade and commerce, or design. Note: Venus out-of-bounds increases the planet's traits noted above especially where feelings of insecurity, inequality, or inferiority are concerned. And you may wish to read of the New Moon's Sabian Symbol at Midheaven, the Goal Point of the New Moon chart.

Well, with the transiting midpoint of Saturn/Neptune and its 'losses-delusions-denials' vibe still hanging about upon our US natal ASC (Sibly, '13Sag'), we may wish to reconsider the midpoint picture thus formed...

Tr Saturn/Neptune = n ASC: noticing the pretenses or false intentions of others; confinement; a loner or one who feels 'out of the group'; oppressive family circumstances; a limitation of freedom; emotional suffering caused by others; illness.

Stars Over Washington posting from Raleigh May 9, 2010

This cool Spring morning I'm blogging to say Hello to you from Raleigh, North Carolina! Have spent the morning reading articles around the web, mostly bad or so-so news with a smidge of good, a little Astrology, and some mild Facebookin'.

Today my family and I will check out the new space at the NC Art Museum which includes a beautiful reflecting pool (I do so love reflecting pools, don't you?) but stay tuned for a return of Political Astrology articles posting to this blog no later than Tuesday, May 11!

But for now, I'm wishing Happy Mother's Day to those who celebrate their source yet I remain a little wary of the ongoing in-tandem transit of heavy-hitter Pluto with asteroid Ceres, the archetype of The Mother, which in Mundane Astrology = security needs, agriculture and food supplies like milk and especially grains, and other domestic issues of which the horrendous Gulf oil spill and the Times Square almost-bomber are but two examples.

Yes, Mother Earth must be quite unhappy with us about now and this cannot be a very Happy Mother's Day for Gaia, can it?

Makes me wonder: can global plutonian overlords monkey with our food supplies, our brain waves, and our natural environment any more than they already have?

Mais oui! For as you know, old Satan is endlessly inventive, he really knows how to hold a grudge, and we earthlings are the pawns in his already-lost game.

Sanders' Audit the Fed amendment breathing shallowly

Right now (9:57 am edt) Senator Bernie Sanders is answering callers' questions on C-SPAN's Washington Journal and his Audit the Fed amendment has gained some play today on Capitol Hill.

If the Sanders amendment is allowed to tag along on reform legislation (which so far sounds quite toothless) will it lead to anything useful for the American taxpayer or merely entertain us with yet another trifling performance of the infamous Capitol Hill Theater?

Now here's a post from Jan 2008 which I began with a quote from Senator Sanders and which displays the horoscope (sans my notations) of the *Generation of Materialism, aka the Robber Baron class, which is timed astrologically by the New Moon 8Tau14 of April 28, 1881, as noted by E. A House of Cards Always Topples

The credit card industry is one example of a concentrated effort to place millions of people 'under obligation' with the lure of easy, instant luxury and the promise of riches that only the Robber Baron and banker classes can truly 'enjoy'.

As I've blogged here previously, it's the Robber Baron class' modern spawn (biological or ideological) who now bedevil our society and undermine it with corruption and greed so out of bounds that the world's financial system has been shoved to the precipice of total collapse...and right on schedule, after they've made their riches by robbing and exploiting others while funneling collective dollars into their private and corporate accounts.

And enriched America made the perfect vehicle.

Was the May 1 Times Square bomb attempt a 'drill'?

For those who feel that the investigation and quick arrest of a suspect in the May 1, 2010 Times Square car bomb attempt seems a little too 'easy' to accept at face value, you may wish to consider the possibility that the Times Square bomb attempt was actually a 'drill'. Eyewitnesses have that impression.

Hmmm...if so, this would give May 1 shades of 9/11 and Cheney's actions on that morning, but with different results. It would also give the Obama administration firm footing inside the exploitation-of-the-masses door of Politics.

This must be why I'm paying little attention to the GOP's 'May 1st is Obama's Katrina' crap...er, I mean, propaganda. This undermining of a Dem president may be little more than political factions vying and lying to be top dog - and vice versa!
