Thomas Frank on unionizing and the Obama presidency

It's time to give voters the liberalism they want, says Thomas Frank.

We voted for it. Didn't we? Will it matter?

Since I've been trying to find more details about the issue of union organizing, its pros and cons, Franks' article fills the bill on that score, but it also contains his views on Barack Obama's victory, governing from the center, and what the governed want from government.

Now I know what you're thinking: McCain didn't try, he was only a fake candidate - the same role that Al Gore and John Kerry played.

Gore meekly accepted the SCOTUS decision after wimpily protesting the recount/chad situation in 2000.

Then John Kerry pulled a lofty "I'm above their attacks" air for Swift Boaters using the Michael Dukakis model and let Rove stomp all over his military record, one of the few things Kerry had going for him.

2008 comes along, and McCain picks Sara Palin as VP stunning mate and she played the role of Flash In The Pan Mama while getting herself some national name recognition for later use. Oh - and she'll soon have a book she wants you to buy.

Why, it's almost as if gnats like me are correct when we say the American people don't elect the president, he's selected from a private stash by a secret cabal from the shadows.

And it's almost as if America's two most elevated natal planets on each side of our national *Midheaven describes a secret government for all the world to see...one of the signatures of Saturn-Neptune IS secret (Neptune) government (Saturn.)

Perhaps the great majority of us are the only ones who can't see it even as it hides in plain sight, m'peops.

But we now know from blowback that others in the **wider world feel its wrath and have had enough.

And we now know that all the power elitists do, they cover themselves by acting in our name: America.

~:~

* Using 'Sibly' version or the Dane Rudhyar chart for July 4, 1776.
** 'wider world' = the Midheaven, the most visible point in any chart, the noon point.

Obama acceptance speech: text + video link

NPR has full text and video of 2008 presidential Dem nom Barack Obama's Aug 28, 2008 acceptance speech in Denver in case you've been in a cave and have managed to miss it thus far!

The page also has DNC speeches of Al Gore, John Lewis, and others.

Gore: toasted in Stockholm

News at Noon: NPR reporting that Scooter Libby will not be appealing his conviction in the Valerie Plame case. (Okay by me.) And an ice storm has several states without power--hope you're all okay and back on the grid soon.

It's Monday, I'm back from an early family holiday gathering, and Al Gore is in Stockholm accepting the Nobel Prize and being toasted at a fancy banquet.

Five days without blogging! I missed SO'W and Jude's Threshold, too. But politics? Not so much. Got injured in an accident while gone so I'm not up to much today--here are some previous posts on Al Gore:

his natal chart;

Gore wins Nobel Prize;

Gore's ores;

Frontline's 9/11 and The Scotsman's article, Can Al Gore save the world? This post has a link to the article on Gore concerning
An Inconvenient Truth, with, as you can tell, a little propaganda on the side.

Nobel's Ringing:

Yes, Gore's reward cycle has come round again (it's a 12 year cycle)--his Jupiter Return is Dec 12, the day after the Great Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction.

Now a Nobel Prize is certainly a good Jupiter Return, isn't it? And with powerful-behind-the-throne Pluto involved, too. Good for Al, a member of the world-bossing Trilateral Commission like the rest of 'em. It's who ya know, isn't it?

And we're about to have our Winter Solstice 2007 so click for details with chart (over Washington, of course), plus you'll see the Winter Solstice 2006 chart as well. The 2007 Solstice chart shows a 'Fist of God' which is a pattern with a lot of punch, and it's pointing at Mars in Cancer.

In The Power Trio, Mae R. Wilson-Ludlum gives the keyphrase for Mars in Cancer as,

magnanimous pursuit for private interests.

She says it is a good placement for dealing with the public, for propery matters and real estate, feminine needs, beverages, liquids, and/or the sea.

Gore travelled over the sea to be toasted with bubbly beverage for publicity's sake. And the Fed may lower interest rates tomorrow, day of the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction, a good forerunner of the Solstice's Fist of God.

Now if we could just pry Bush-Cheney fron the White House, our real estate on Pennsylvania Avenue might increase in value and become our own again. It's this 'feminine need' that I have--to aid the only nag I've ever had in the race--the United States of America.

have you heard? Gore wins Nobel Peace Prize

Even a homeless polar bear could find, read about, or listen to the news this morning that Al Gore will share the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Control.

Here you see Gore's natal chart with today's transiting planets scribbled around the outside...so what astrological influences may be involved with such a high honor for our former VP?

You can't miss power-behind-the-throne Pluto of the deep riches in touch with natal Jupiter. And Gore will soon have a Jupiter Return when tr Jupiter reaches 28Sag36 in Dec '07--and all the largesse is occurring in his natal 5th house of creative pursuits and risk-taking. Lucky breaks for Al.

Or I wish I could think that.

Mars is conj US n Jupiter at the "Gamebirds feathering their nests" degree in his behind-the-scenes 12th house, and the Scorpio Moon this morning at 5 am (when I heard NPR crowing the news) was conj the New World Order's natal Sun...by 3 minutes.

Gore's natal Sun Aries/Moon Cap personality blend has two Images for Integration which I cannot forget--even though he seems likeable enough and I would probably vote for him if he decided to run (which 'they say' he won't because of Hillary's campaign--he thinks the 2008 election isn't for him--better to wait a few years until Pluto conjs natal Moon in Cap, I suppose)...

Sun Aries/Moon Cap: A young soldier is rewarded by the King for exceptional bravery in the cause of freedom...Columbus discovers America and a new world order is born.

Add to this the powerful-beyond-belief, hard-hitting, tough-minded, ambitious (plus a Cap Moon!) Pluto-Saturn-Mars conj in natal 1st house, and you see a driven man with natal Sun at the "President of the country" degree--and North Node (destiny) conj US Inaugural Ascendant (Jan 20, noon in Washington DC, public oath-taking time.)

Gore's natal Mercury in creative, soft, watery Pisces may make him seem wishy-washy and easy to mischaracterize yet everyone knows that water is the strongest element of all.

And so I admit I can't shake the intuition that the Nobel Prize/Oscar Award honors are another phase of the political theater brought to the masses by globalist puppetmasters with whom Al Gore must have associations especially since he's a member of the Trilateral Commission at the least.

Of two things I'm sure: nothing these days is what it's promoted to be--and nothing in politics happens by accident. It's all by design by those who have the power to manifest on the world stage which may be shown by Gore's natal Moon/Jupiter conj (though 'out of sign' it's too close to discount, isn't it?) which gives an interesting word picture with transiting Pluto these days:

Moon/Jupiter = Pluto: major plans for major triumph; the big picture and the power to make it appear.

But if I had a vote on the Nobel Committee, I would've given the Prize to the homeless polar bear.

want Gore to run?

This from GoreHub.com:

Express yourself if you want to see a Gore presidential run!

The Honorable Al Gore
2100 West End Avenue
Nashville, TN 37203

Here's a previous post with a smidge of info on Al Gore's natal chart (more details to come, I'm sure.)

You can certainly see Gore's 1st house Saturn/Pluto conjunction in his eagle-looking stare over a large nose--just as you see Bush's natal Leo Ascendant in those slightly crossed Leonine eyes...and Tony Blair has Leo-the-Lion eyes as well!)

planetary emergency, says Gore

Gore Testifies Before Congress on global warming, and the House Judiciary Panel has approved subpoenas for Karl Rove and Harriet Miers. Good.

Bush mumbled something about fighting the subpoenas and their issuance causing a constitutional crisis. His entire term in office has been a constitutional crisis.

Busy first day of Spring on the Hill.

Gore's ores

The Tennessean has an article detailing Al Gore's ownership of zinc mineral rights to some middle Tennessee property he originally purchased Sep 22, 1973 when things were different.

Tenn. mine enriched Gore, scarred land but be sure to read it all...it's something of a mixed report imho.

As it says, "No major pollution violations, but threat remains." Perhaps that's the best they had against him.

One reason I mention this is because when a politician is ill-thought-of in his home state--which everyone I know says Gore is (as is John Edwards in NC) it makes me wonder why...what do the natives know that I should know?

Well, this may not be it--as stated in the article, 1973 sensibilities aren't those of 2007--but you may want to check it out esp if you're rooting for Gore to run in 2008. Know your man before you stand by him!

Spring EQ brings Gore to Congress

There've been so many charts to study this weekend for the upcoming week--it's Sunday afternoon and nothing has gelled for posting so I'm combining two entries into 'Spring Equinox/Gore testifies to Congress on global warming' just to save my knarly typing finger some aches and pains.

As you know, the Sun reaches Aries Point (AP = 00Aries00, a World Point) on March 20, 8:07:32 pm edt (for the White House.) Moon will be positioned at 26Ari47 just after the New Moon, the beginning of a new cycle which will culminate in two weeks with the Full Moon appr April 2 (depending where you're located.)

Sun/AP = Moon/Mercury: realism; practical planning; thinking along biological lines; good intellectual powers; public contact.

There may be a clarification of objectives to the day which may be--if the objectives are positive--a good thing.

The Descendant in the EQ chart is Gore's natal Sun degree, "11Aries": "The president of the country" but don't go getting any ideas. Actually, do go getting ideas--Mr. Gore's Jupiter Return occurs at the end of 2007...Dec 12, to be exact.

And you don't always see such a Jupiter Return as his...MC conj his n Moon 3Cap14, with Jupiter 28Sag36 conj tr Pluto (so tr Pluto to n Jupiter--as it is this week) at MC in 9th house, the house which is ruled by Jupiter in the natural zodiac. Political ambitions may expand under this transit.

Jupiter Return Moon 24Cap15...Capricorn is the sign of worldy ambition and is in 10th house of Public Status/Career, so perhaps Gore will be coaxed/begged enough by December to announce his acceptance of the Dem nomination.

Yet the Return chart isn't perfect: contentious instigator Mars 7Can16 Rx--in fall in Cancer--is at the IC in 4th house, the Foundation of the chart and so is squaring the Return ASC.

And natally this tr Mars position is in Gore's 12th house...more behind-the-scenes shenanigans perhaps esp since Gore's natal Sun/Neptune opposition makes it fairly easy for those who are determined to confuse others about Gore's personality and purposes to the extent that he is confused himself for he is prone to unrealistic expectations of others, to unconscious deceit, and may regard himself as being inspired from On High.

Others in authority may find him vague and so they form misconceptions about him and, as we know, this a typical ploy used in politics ad nauseum. Gore's recent success with global warming speeches and An Inconvenient Truth may be due to his sticking to the facts--yet even there the science on global warming has been under attack by those who wish to confuse the public on the issues and on the man.

There is a T-square in the Jupiter Return chart:

Mars/MC = ASC: confidence; pizzaz; success; assumption of leadership.

and a YOD pattern:

Venus/Saturn = ASC: withdrawal from fear of not being accepted; a desire for separation.

(A confusing mix there.)

With Jupiter's cycle being appr 12 years in duration, a Jupiter Return chart (or Reward Cycle, as Noel Tyl says) is in effect for 12 years--quite important in one's life scheme. Transits to the chart's planets and angles will be interesting to watch as the campaign season progresses into 2008.

And on Wednesday, Mar 21, his scheduled appearance before Congress, tr NN (meetings; associations) will be conj Gore's natal Mercury (speaking; also meetings), tr Pluto 28Sag56 will conj n Jupiter 28:36, yet tr Saturn 18Leo55, the King of Terror Eclipse (8.11.99)'s degree (and Venus' degree on 9/11/01) will be conj his n Mars 18Leo08.

The Saturn-to-Mars transit often indicates male relationships being restricted or broken off; plus, he'd better be well-prepared with his testimony (for sure he will be, I'm just sayin'.) Circumventing rules and regulations is frowned upon during this transit what with Saturn representing authority and Mars representing our energy, action, and initiative.

At 9:30 am edt on Wednesday, Gore's natal Sun is rising...with its "11Aries" degree, "The president of the country" in tow. Guess the real president will be in the House.

And tr Mars at the "A man unmasked" degree will be opposing lonely Saturn, the leader/authority. This means that while tr Saturn will be conjuncting his n Mars as mentioned, tr Mars will be opposing n Mars, the head-against-brickwall transit. So Mr. Gore may wonder why he bothered when his testimony is over...it may be a time-wasting exercise in the end since others' interests are diametrically opposed to his own.

Whatever happens in Congress this week, Mr. Gore will be certain to wield a powerful influence upon the public if not upon Washington's knuckle-headed politicians for only a paltry few share his interests in the environment. The tr Moon (the public) in Taurus, sign of the Earth and of her exaltation, will be trining his natal Moon as well, so the sheeple may appreciate his efforts and some good publicity may come out of it for him.

Yet the Sun Aries/Moon Taurus blend for March 21 is interesting to note due to its forceful, straight-from-the-shoulder charm, and its personal ambition.

Images: An explorer practices the violin in a jungle clearing...Having won an arduous race, the champion sits down to a gourmet meal.

This blend is shared natally with writer Washington Irving who instructively said:

"A tart temper never mellows with age, and a sharp tongue is the only edged tool that grows keener with constant use."

Sounds like the Al Gore to Congress performance will be lively at our Capitol Hill Theater this week. Wish I had a seat in the House!

note: you'll find Al Gore's natal chart (Mar 31, 1948) in post of Feb 7, 2007.

Al Gore March 31, 1948

Al Gore's natal chart which is given the highest rating for accuracy at www.astrodatbank.com has what some have called a very interesting Sun degree: "11 Aries": "President of the country."

Not amusing, is it?

I will be posting on Al Gore and his upcoming testimony to Congress on Mar 21--the day Gore's Solar Arc Directed Mercury (communications) conjuncts natal NN (encounters; meetings.) The "15Tau" degree of this hook-up is same as the Ascendant degree each time the US inaugurates a president at noon on January 20s every four years rotten eggs or no.

That's the oath-taking to protect, uphold, defend the Constitution of the United States...you know...the one Bush was holding crossed fingers behind his back to take.

Must mosey for now but I want to add Gore's ambitious Sun Aries/Moon Capricorn personality blend which makes him:

a maverick traditionalist, persistent, good organizer, pragmatic intellect, the winner.

Images: A young soldier is rewarded by the King for exceptional bravery in the cause of freedom and individual human rights...Columbus discovers America, and a new world order is born.

The italics are mine, the info is from Sun Sign-Moon Sign, by Charles and Suzi Harvey.

Gore shares this natal blend with: Sarah Vaughn, Eric Idle, David Lean, John Major, Stephen Sonheim, Rod Steiger, politician Kenneth lark, and Otto von Bismarck.

Will update on Al Gore asap....

Frontline's 9/11 plus Al Gore

Of all the 9/11 tributes this week the one that stands out for me was last evening's Frontline: 9/11 Religion and Faith. Without dramatizing, without politicizing, this was the one to see on tv. It actually advanced the dialogue!

Watching ABC's Bush promo turned out to be impossible.

Has Al Gore admitted to the possibility of joining the 2008 campaign? The Scotsman reviews An Inconvenient Truth and adds that Gore has said this week that he may be a candidate. They ask Can Al Gore save the World? environmentally, but if you close your eyes and click your heels, you can almost imagine they're referring to a presidential run.

Because Gore is a member of the Trilateral Commission along with Bush Sr, Clinton, Cheney, Albright, Carter, and the rest, it's difficult to imagine that the road America is now on has an off-ramp toward something better than totalitarianism.

If you search this blog, you'll find a chart for The Day America Died, and it has occurred to me that most people seeing the date of this chart (JFK's assassination) will infer my meaning to be a misty longing for the Camelot-we-miss-ya illusion--and how America has changed direction since his death.

(It would be closer to the truth to say that America's illusions of by-the-people-for-the-people died that day. They who are put in office can be taken out if they don't toe the line. Bush toes.)

Actually, to be clear: the road we're on now was promoted by an agenda publically marked then by the assassination of a Catholic president who was making too many waves for the powers-that-be...including US governmental agencies, the Vatican, foreign regimes, and the world banking system...and perhaps we could include organized crime syndicates...oh let's do.

2006: the agenda continues as Bush's speeches this week attempted to link his war of misdirected energy with a broader threat. He failed to mention the threat from within our own government and its links to those who use assassination to control the American people and divert the popular will--thereby increasing their power in the world.

Bush leads by fear--if you call that leading. And the next installed president will be another piece in the puzzle, as was Clinton. They are all in it together, m'peops, as the Pluto/Chiron combo wages class warfare against the common man...in the US and all over the globe.

Wish I could have faith in the 2008 election with its squirrelly voter machines which are breaking down even as I type. It's all of a piece, and the prize is power, money, and world domination...the very thing bin Laden and his ilk fight against--but to be fair, they prefer their own brand of it--the Taliban model.

But as to America: we're the bah-sayers who've let the homegrown wolf in the door...and what big eyes he has.
